Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) is a leading member of the America First alliance in the House of Representatives.
She’s been controversial since being elected. Several attempts have been made to boot her out, given past statements she made about former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and others.
MTG has also been outspoken about 2A rights and previously clashed with figures like arms control activist David Hogg.
Now, she’s had her own situation of being hassled, claiming she was “attacked” on Monday night by a crazy woman and her son who verbally assaulted and threatened her.
What Does MTG Say Happened?
Saying the woman who attacked her was “out of control,” MTG says she was shocked by what happened. According to her, she was conferring with staff about political issues at the time that a nearby woman approached her and said hello normally.
However, this woman suddenly became a “demon” after greeting her, MTG says.
At this point, MTG says that woman and her adult son lost “control,” viciously verbally assaulted her, and shouted at her, including cursing her with swearing and threats.
Staff at the restaurant came after several moments and broke up the attack, escorting the angry woman and her furious son out of the restaurant.
Police were also called in to respond; although no report of charges has emerged as of yet.
I was attacked in a restaurant tonight by an insane women and screamed at by her adult son.
They had no respect for the restaurant or the staff or the other people dining or people like me who simply have different political views.
They are self righteous, insane, and… https://t.co/cJWLIAKiyp

America is ‘Gone’
Claiming America is “gone” because people can’t tolerate different political views, MTG decried and complained about the upsetting incident and the “self-righteous” people who went after her.
Most recently, MTG sparked controversy by saying a national divorce may be the only real solution to the political polarization gripping the country.
MTG has previously faced numerous threats and a tide of disapproval and anger from the mainstream media over her right-wing populist stances.
In the spring of last year, a 51-year-old man left various threats of physical harm on her voicemail.
There’s no doubt that MTG is in the liberal crosshairs. Anything she has or hasn’t said still leaves a question about why people think it’s OK to threaten her life and well-being.
Joy Behar defends Marjorie Tayor Greene on the reported restaurant harassment incident.
“I’m on Marjorie’s side for this one because I don’t believe that anybody should be going up to any of us, anybody in public, and harassing us.”

An Unlikely Defender Arises
Hogg took the opportunity to slam MTG, saying she’s a stark hypocrite who verbally assaulted him as well and deserves all the trash talk and harassment she gets.
Whereas an unlikely defender did come forward on behalf of MTG, namely ultra-liberal loudmouth Joy Behar of TV’s “The View,” who said she is on MTG’s side on this one.
Despite criticizing various things MTG has done and said, Behar said that no public figure should be expected to put up with harassment and threats in public.
What do you think? Should MTG press charges if it is possible?
