Senator Mitch McConnell Gets Some Very Bad News in New Poll

Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky is one of the oldest political insiders in the US federal government. At 81 years old, the Republican senator has seen his share of administrations come and go and sat through many popular and unpopular presidents.

Though one thing which McConnell never expected was to be more liked by Democratic voters than by Republicans.

New Poll Humiliates RINO Mitch McConnell

A new poll from the highly reputed firm Rasmussen shows that McConnell is more well-liked by Democrats than by Republicans.

Specifically, this Rasmussen questionnaire asked voters their opinions on Trump, current Speaker Kevin McCarthy, and Senate Minority Leader McConnell.

The results were not in McConnell’s favor, with 22% of respondents saying they have a very favorable opinion of McCarthy, 31% having a “very favorable” opinion of Trump and only 9% having a “very favorable” opinion of McConnell.

When you break it down by party, it gets more troubling for the senator from Kentucky. In fact, 77% of Republican voters liked Trump overall, 71% liked McCarthy overall, and only 32% liked McConnell overall.

When you check out those who identify as Democrats, McConnell scores 35%.

Trump: “We are never going to be a country ruled by entrenched political dynasties in both parties… China loving politicians of which there are many. Are you listening to this Mitch McConnell? Are you listening?”

Why is McConnell Liked On the Left?

McConnell is not a liberal by any stretch of the imagination. He’s clearly a right-wing man who is loyal to the Republican Party. Though McConnell is loyal to a different era.

A time when the Democrats were trustworthy and when making deals with China and “balancing” America’s interests was seen as a patriotic necessity…

A time when launching foreign wars and then realizing it was a mistake wouldn’t get you hated at the polls…

That time is gone. Trump’s rise in 2016 was the end of excuses and “balanced” and internationalist politics.

McConnell got on Trump’s bad side by clearly not really supporting him and by wanting Trump’s momentum without understanding or caring about Trump’s actual message.

McConnell’s behavior in the aftermath of January 6 and the failed Trump impeachments also raised many eyebrows. This is not a loyal Trump lieutenant; this is a career politician.

Mitch McConnell is a RINO owned by China. He’s a POS!

Enough is Enough

A few months ago, McConnell said that the GOP is held back by Trump and couldn’t do better in midterms because of too many unappealing pro-Trump candidates.

He has no place for Trump. Trump (and Trump voters) have no place for McConnell anymore. It’s clear that no love is lost here.

Trump already made it clear that the “rotten” political insiders who sabotaged his term are not getting a second chance.

He’s also called out “China-loving” people like McConnell and made it clear that he’s coming for them.

McConnell: “Our ability to control the primary outcome was quite limited in 2022 because of the support of the former president. Hopefully in the next cycle, we’ll have quality candidates everywhere.”

The Bottom Line

The era of people like McConnell having a place in the Republican Party is rapidly diminishing. This latest poll is more than enough proof of that.
