The prosecution of former President Trump prompted two county prosecutors, one from Tennessee and one from Kentucky, to ask Republican Congressman James Comer of Kentucky how they might pursue the Bidens.
Comer said the Democrats had unleashed a bag of worms in his remarks on Fox & Friends on Wednesday.
He said because they established a precedent that cannot be changed, ambitious politicians may now attempt to pursue significant federal lawsuits, which might clog the judicial system.

What Is To Come?
Trump entered a not-guilty plea to 34 charges of first-degree business record falsification on Tuesday.
The accusation of fabricating documents is typically a misdemeanor. Still, it can be upgraded to a felony if the defendant’s purpose to deceive involves committing another crime or intending to hide it.
During a news conference, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg was questioned about the second disguised offense that wasn’t listed in the indictment. According to Bragg, it is not required by law.
The “capture and kill” tactic was allegedly used by Trump and his allies to hide potentially embarrassing material prior to the 2016 election, according to Bragg.
As per Bragg, Trump went to tremendous measures to conceal this behavior by making scores of erroneous entries in corporate documents. 34 bogus entries were fabricated in New York corporate documents to cover the first covert payment of $130,000.
Strain on the Judicial System
Republican lawyers are taking an interest in the charges. Comer pointed out the GOP controls both Kentucky and Tennessee and the lawyers who approached him were Republicans as well.

Now that Trump has been charged, the lawyers looked for ways to bring the Bidens into the case. Comer cautioned that this may further load the already overworked legal system.
In general, concerns about potential Republican backlash have been voiced in light of the indictment of Trump. The legal system may come under additional strain, particularly with ambitious politicians pursuing significant federal lawsuits.
Trump’s indictment, however, demonstrates that even powerful leaders may be held responsible for their deeds.
