The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has raised eyebrows in the last several years for projects such as its Advanced Plant Technologies (plants that spy) and ReSource Program (which aims to turn trash into food).

If you have never heard of DARPA, it’s a research agency of the United States Department of Defense that creates innovative and cutting-edge technology for the U.S. military.

One of DARPA’s latest projects is the Manta Ray Project.

According to DARPA’s website, the Manta Ray Project seeks “to demonstrate innovative technologies allowing payload-capable autonomous unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) to operate on long-duration, long-range missions in ocean environments without the need for on-site human logistics.”

DARPA tapped defense contractor Northrop Grumman to create a prototype of the Manta Ray.

Unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), also known as drones of the sea, are not new innovations.

What is unique about the Manta Ray drone is that it can go on “long-duration missions, harvesting energy to power its trek.”

It also has payload capability, which means it can haul cargo or launch warheads wherever the US military needs them.

Per Naval Technology:

Northrop Grumman Corporation has announced the successful completion of the Manta Ray prototype, an uncrewed underwater vehicle designed to conduct long-duration, long-range missions in challenging ocean environments.

Named after the sea creature, Manta Ray represents a leap forward in Northrop Grumman’s undersea exploration technology, offering autonomous operation without the need for on-site human support.

According to GlobalData’s Thematic Intelligence on unmanned maritime vehicles, Northrop’s expertise in advanced networking solutions and platform development has led to its participation in the Angler UUV development programme for the US Navy alongside the Manta Ray programme.

Developed as part of a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) initiative, Manta Ray incorporates technologies to enhance energy management, increase payload capacity, and optimise propulsion efficiency. These advancements pave the way for extended undersea missions, making Manta Ray a versatile platform with a variety of applications.

For almost three years now, people on the right have been calling the crisis on the southern border an invasion. It’s difficult to see it as anything else.

When thousands of people, mostly military aged men, are crossing your border on a daily basis, what else could you call it?

Liberals have resisted the use of the term ‘invasion’ for the most part, until now.

The Washington Examiner reports:

Warning signs: Democrats call border a ‘crisis’ and ‘invasion’

A majority of Democrats have joined with Republicans and independents in decrying the Biden border crisis, adding to the building pressure on the White House to fix its three years of immigration blundering.

Just one day after revealing data showing that people believe the immigration disaster is President Joe Biden’s way of building a “permanent majority” of liberal voters for the Democratic Party, Rasmussen Reports said most voting groups agree the situation is at a crisis stage.

By a margin of 69%-22%, likely voters believe the open borders that have allowed in record numbers of illegal immigrants are a crisis. That includes 51% of Democrats, 63% of black people, 65% of women, and 64% of younger voters.

Nearly as many see it as an “invasion,” by a 64%-33% margin. That includes 46% of Democrats, 66% of black people, 60% of women, and 62% of younger voters.

Of course, Republicans have had no problem calling this what it is.

Corrupt Democrat Mayor Tiffany Henyard played the race card on Wednesday as angry residents shouted at her during a community meeting.

Dolton, Illinois Mayor Tiffany Henyard is under FBI investigation for abusing her power after she shut down businesses that didn’t donate to her campaign.

Tiffany Henyard, who unsuccessfully ran a hamburger joint before becoming a mayor, attends meetings dressed like a movie gangster.

According to Dolton citizens, Henyard uses local police to target businesses that don’t contribute to her.

One business owner told The New York Post that he made one contribution to Henyard and her minions kept coming after him demanding more money. Whe he didn’t comply, Henyard shut down his trucking business.

Tiffany Henyard reportedly used the police as her personal Gestapo to shut down more than a dozen businesses after they refused to give her money.

Henyard was also accused of spending all of Dolton’s money for personal expenses so she could live a lavish lifestyle with a massive security detail and entourage.

Clutching a gold microphone that matched her gold nails, Tiffany Henyard refused to answer questions from angry residents.

Residents demanded answers on the latest sexual assault and cover-up scandal which involved Henyard.

“We are not brainwashed! We are fed up!” One resident shouted at Tiffany Henyard.

Henyard played the race card and blamed the black residents for her corruption.

“We are here to help each other, not hurt each other and it’s a shame that us – us – I’m talking about black and brown communities would sit here and fight..It’s a shame..” Tiffany Henyard said.

With dramatic stories of self-defense appearing in our news feeds almost every day, you have to wonder how gun-control advocates have still pontificated about the evils of gun ownership with a straight face.

True, a few bad actors have used guns to hurt, terrorize and kill the innocent.

But how many of those bad actors have been — or could have been — apprehended, if one of those citizens had also been armed?

An incident reported Wednesday by EastIdahoNews.com showed how a potentially lethal situation became an example of heroism, thanks to an 85-year-old woman armed with a handgun.

According to EastIdahoNews.com, Christine Jenneiahn was sleeping at home during the wee hours of March 13, when a man officials identified Derek Ephriam Condon, 39, broke into her house around 2 a.m.

The report, released by Bingham County prosecuting attorney Ryan Jolley and shared by the Bingham County Sheriff’s office on Facebook, noted that Jenneiahn’s disabled adult son, David, was sleeping downstairs when the invasion happened.

Condon went to Jenneiahn’s upstairs bedroom, and awakened her while pointing a flashlight and a pistol at her head.

Based on the blood police found on her bed and her pillow, they believe Condon hit her in the head, though Jenneiahn doesn’t quite remember when or how it happened.

Clearly, though, Jenneiahn was in grave danger, and Condon was ready and willing to kill to get what he wanted.

And what was it that he wanted?

According to Jolley’s report, Condon took Jenneiahn to the living room and handcuffed her to a chair, demanding to know where she kept her valuables and pointing a pistol to her head when she said she didn’t have much.

Then, as the New York Post explained, she told Condon she had two safes downstairs, without disclosing that her son was sleeping in a downstairs bedroom.

When Condon discovered that, however, he was enraged.

Returning to the living room, Condon threatened to kill her for failing to tell him about her son, in addition to issuing multiple other threats.

However, what Condon did not count on was the remarkable resilience of this otherwise frail old woman.

Despite suffering multiple injuries at Condon’s hands, while Condon was rummaging through the house,  Jenneiahn dragged herself and the chair back to her bedroom, where she retrieved the .357 Magnum revolver she kept under her pillow.

From there, she dragged herself and the chair back to the living room, where she hid the gun in a nearby couch.

When Condon returned, Jolley’s report explained, Jenneiahn decided it was “now or never.” She drew her gun and “engaged Condon, striking him with both her shots.”

Condon then emptied his 9mm pistol at her, striking her abdomen, leg, arm and chest, before stumbling to the kitchen, where he died from his gunshot wounds to the chest.

Jenneiahn then collapsed, unable to call 911 for about 10 hours, until her son brought her a phone in the morning. The police finally arrived at the scene around noon.

After investigating the scene, the police and Jolley concluded that this “case presents an easy analysis of self-defense and justifiable homicide. It also presents one of the most heroic acts of self-preservation I have heard of.”

Jolley was full of praise for Jenneiahn, crediting her “grit, determination, and will to live” for saving her life that night.

The Bingham County Sheriff’s Office, in sharing Jolley’s report in a Facebook post, likewise praised Jenneiahn’s incredible bravery and tenacity, saying that the department was releasing the facts of the case to explain that “that there was a victim involved that displayed heroism, fortitude, and a will to live that we’d be remiss not to share.”

Clearly, this story would have ended much more tragically had Jenneiahn not been armed in some way.

Moreover, Jenneiahn displayed a courage and resilience in protecting herself and her disabled son that would have been impressive for someone half her age, let alone for a woman approaching 90.

As has been demonstrated time and time again, guns have been the great equalizer in these kinds of situations, especially for those lacking in physical strength.

A frail old woman like Jenneiahn wouldn’t have stood a chance had she not owned a gun and had the presence of mind (not to mention the force of will) to drag herself and her chair to the bedroom where she kept the weapon.

The strict gun-controlling measures advocated by liberal lawmakers hinder the ability of law-abiding citizens to defend themselves against thugs like Condon. Such measures would have ensured the deaths of Jenneiahn and her son in an incident like this.

It’s nothing short of baffling that our liberal elites have long been (presumably) aware of stories like this and yet they still advocate for gun control measures.

But gun control was never really about protecting law-abiding citizens, now, was it?

Of course, the press wasn’t allowed to attend the meeting.

According to a pool report, reporters were left in the hallway as Biden met with Kishida Fumio and Ferdinand Marcos.

The New York Post reported:

Reporters who were supposed to observe President Biden’s heavily promoted trilateral meeting with the leaders of Japan and the Philippines missed his remarks Thursday when press handlers left them standing downstairs in a hallway as the commander-in-chief spoke.

The rare logistical snafu prevented journalists from witnessing the 81-year-old president’s opening remarks to Philippine President Bongbong Marcos and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in the White House East Room.

The day’s print pool reporter, Michael Shear of the New York Times, relayed the unexpected dilemma in an emailed update to colleagues who were anticipating quotes from the summit of major US allies.

In an alert titled “Pool missed the pool spray,” Shear relayed the “bad news: The White House held most of the press in the lower hallway in the East Wing even as the pool spray at the Trilateral meeting got under way.”

How incompetent does the leadership of a national political party have to be to schedule its nominating committee after the deadlines of two states to confirm the party’s nominee to be included on the ballot?

That’s a good question — and one the Democratic National Committee is apparently well-placed to answer.

Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen sent a letter Tuesday to the Alabama Democratic Party and the DNC to inform both groups that the party must, under state law, confirm its presidential and vice presidential candidates by Aug. 15 to be eligible to appear on the state’s ballots in November.

The only problem with that is that Democratic National Convention isn’t scheduled to begin until Aug. 19. Whoops.

Of course, everyone knows that the incumbent, President Joe Biden, will be the Democrats’ nominee again this year, despite some conspiracy theories to the contrary. But that’s not the same as the DNC confirming those nominees to the state.

Biden faces a similar problem in Ohio, as The Western Journal reported Monday.

In case you were wondering, the Republican National Convention is scheduled for July 15-18 in Milwaukee, well before the deadlines in both Alabama and Ohio.

Neither state is likely to be competitive, it should be noted. Combined, the two states represent 26 electoral votes that Biden may not even have a shot at, but he probably didn’t have much of a shot at them anyway.

Former President Donald Trump won Ohio by better than 8 points in each of the last two presidential elections, and he demolished his Democratic opponents in Alabama by more than 25 points in both 2016 and 2020.

Still, this isn’t a good look for Team Biden.

So far, the Democrats’ response to the issue has been simple: Rather than replace the people responsible for their terrible planning, they’re simply denying that there’s a problem.

“We’re monitoring the situation in Ohio and we’re confident that Joe Biden will be on the ballot in all 50 states,” a Biden campaign spokesperson told ABC News last week.

After the news about Alabama broke, a Biden campaign spokesperson — perhaps the same one — made a similar statement to Fox News, but actually amped up the denial.

“Joe Biden will be on the ballot in all 50 states,” the unnamed spokesperson said. “State officials have the ability to grant provisional ballot access certification prior to the conclusion of presidential nominating conventions.”

Some state officials may have that ability, but not those in Alabama.

“Under Alabama law, there are no ‘provisional certifications’ for candidates,” the Alabama secretary of state’s office told CNN. “All candidates must comply with current Alabama law to gain ballot access.”

So, back to my original question: How incompetent does the leadership of a national political party have to be to schedule its nominating committee after the deadlines of two states to confirm the party’s nominee to be included on the ballot?

Sit back and grab the popcorn. It looks like we’re about to find out.

8. Wife Lisa Spies suggested in 2016 that Trump is an anti-Semite. She also suggested J6 was horrible day turning people off to giving to republicans.

9. Mitt Romney loyalist and has been in multi interviews saying that he is a Jeb Bush guy and a Romney guy and that Trump was the remaining.

10. It’s likely that he voted for Hilary Clinton…

As the Biden administration continues to fail countless Americans by allowing millions of illegals to pour across our southern border, more state governments have begun to pick up the slack, following the lead of Texas.

Republican Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed a bill on Wednesday that strengthens state law enforcement’s ability to mitigate the migrant crisis.

S.B. 2340 functions much in the same way as a similar law in Texas, making it illegal to enter the state of Iowa if an individual has previously been deported or barred from entering the state.

The piece of legislation gives peace officers considerable power that they did not have before to handle the hoards of illegals.

Gov. Reynolds celebrated when signing the bill, speaking strongly on its importance in the face of a failing presidential administration.

“The Biden Administration has failed to enforce our nation’s immigration laws, putting the protection and safety of Iowans at risk,” she stated in a news release. “Those who come into our country illegally have broken the law, yet Biden refuses to deport them.”

“This bill gives Iowa law enforcement the power to do what he is unwilling to do: enforce immigration laws already on the books.”

The law will begin to take effect on July 1 and will make the crime a felony offense if the previous removal order against an individual was related to misdemeanor convictions for drug-related charges, a crime against another person or a felony conviction.

Of course, while the bill will undoubtedly take significant strides to create a safer Iowa, left-leaning groups have already begun to whine about a state attempting to keep law and order.

A local immigration rights group named Iowa Migrant Movement for Justice lamented about not being able to illegally enter the state and siphon away resources from American citizens.

“We know that we all belong here, Iowa is home, and we will stand together as workers, families and allies to defend each other,” the group claimed in a statement translated by CNN.

The ACLU couldn’t help but dissent as well, with executive director of the Iowa ACLU Mark Stringer releasing a statement, making wild claims of racism for enforcing the southern border.

“This legislation encourages and facilitates racial profiling and stereotyping. It undermines — not promotes — public safety and the rule of law,” he said. “It will consume already strapped state court and law enforcement resources.”

Nonetheless, despite the dissent from more liberal voices, the bill will undoubtedly have major positive effects in handling illegal immigration in Iowa.

Perhaps if the Biden administration took proper steps to ensure the southern border was secure, states wouldn’t have to take such major action as the Hawkeye State has.

Unfortunately, the world we live in has a spineless president, unable to do what is necessary for American safety.

Hopefully, that will change this November.

A new documentary being released by the organization behind the American Greatness website, next week on April 17, is exposing the “four corrupt, political motivated” prosecutors now pursuing cases against President Donald Trump.

The narrator of “Chasing Trump” explains, “They say they’re upholding the law. But a close examination reveals politics of the very worst kind meant to influence the 2024 election.”

He cites, “Four corrupt, politically motivated prosecutors. One target: Donald Trump.”

The trailer:

“Can there be any doubt there’s a sentiment of ‘This is get Trump?’”

The video documentary is coming just as a trial is starting in which leftists are claiming Trump violated business regulations with a non-disclosure agreement, a common practice in business transactions.

In fact, the facts of the case were reviewed, then rejected for lacking evidence of wrongdoing, before it was resurrected and turned into a felony case.

A comment from the Daily Mail said, “Trump allies will step up their attacks on prosecutors investigating the former president next week, with the launch of an online documentary accusing them of political activism and electioneering.”

“‘Chasing Trump’ is an important documentary that exposes the leftwing prosecutors weaponizing the government to target my father,” Donald Trump Jr. told DailyMail.com. “It’s the first documentary to do a deep dive into the backgrounds of the prosecutors behind the four cases against him and is a must watch for anyone who cares about preserving the rule of law and protecting our constitutional rights.”

Among the subjects is Alvin Bragg, the prosecutor in Manhattan, who has created a list of 34 charges against Trump over that non-disclosure agreement.

Another subject is Fani Willis, a Georgia prosecutor who is bringing an organized crime case against Trump and a dozen others for their comments after the 2020 presidential election, which was, in fact, subjected to multiple undue influences that likely benefited Joe Biden. Willis has been accused of racism in the case, and a judge already has confirmed she had the appearance of a conflict of interest for hiring her paramour to work on her anti-Trump allegations.

Then there’s special counsel Jack Smith who is claiming Trump committed crimes by having documents from his presidency in his home after leaving office. Another special counsel found Joe Biden was in essentially the same position, but recommended against charging him because of his obviously “diminished” capacity.

Finally, there’s New York Attorney General Letitia James, who campaigned on the promise to “get Trump,” even without any allegations of wrongdoing. She found a judge who agreed with her agenda and declared Trump guilty of fraud before the trial, which was only to establish damages. The judge, Arthur Engoron, then ordered a penalty of $454 million for Trump in the case that had no victims, no one losing money, and no one making any complaints.

The Mail explains the documentary “makes the case that Trump is being punished for taking on the status quo and echoes his constant refrain that he is subject to a witch hunt.”

Even the judges in the cases cannot escape criticism, and one, Juan Merchan, who is hearing one of the cases, has a daughter to is an activist who benefits financially from her work for Kamala Harris and others who have attacked Trump.

The report said “Chasing Trump” is the first in a series to be produced by American Greatness.

The documentary is to appear on a number of streaming sites, including Rumble and X.

Curt Mercadenta, managing editor of American Greatness, explained to the Mail the video will shock anyone “who believed the legal system was free from partisan political considerations.”

“With the 2024 election starting to heat up, it’s imperative that Americans have the opportunity to learn more about the truth behind the prosecutions targeting President Trump, along with the partisan prosecutors behind the cases,” he explained.

And Mike Davis, of the Article III Project, said, “These four prosecutions against President Trump are nothing more than partisan political activism masquerading as the rule of law.”
