Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes carved their names into the annals of sports history on Friday night, not just by edging out the UConn Huskies in a nail-biting 71-69 victory, but by doing so in front of ESPN’s largest audience ever for a basketball game.

The semifinal clash, part of the women’s college basketball tournament, has now become the most-watched game in the sport’s history on the network, surpassing all prior records for viewership, according to ESPN.

According to Nielsen Fast Nationals, the semifinal clash between the powerhouse programs captivated audiences like never before, with a record 14.2 million viewers, and peaked at 17 million.

This telecast not only stands as ESPN’s highest audience for a basketball game but also ranks as the network’s second-best non-football telecast to date. Additionally, it’s been crowned the most-viewed college event ever on ESPN+.

A former Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) Member of Parliament, Kenny Chiu, recently shared concerns after learning he was the target of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents.

During a public inquiry looking into alleged meddling in Canada’s two most recent federal elections by the CCP, Chiu learned he was a target of the CCP and shared, “I have been betrayed.”

Adding, “That is how I see it.”

Rebel News reports that Chiu testified that the federal government “left him to drown” when Chinese agents allegedly targeted his campaign.

“The government doesn’t seem to care,” Chiu said on Wednesday at the Commission on Foreign Interference.

“There is a strong case to be made there was a degree of influence exerted by an outside actor in the Chinese community during the 44th general election,” alleged the Conservative Party in a secret Memorandum For The Clerk Of The Privy Council.

According to Chiu, he was never shown copies of any security warnings that he was a target of CCP agents. He subsequently lost his re-election in 2021 to the Liberal candidate Pam Bains by 3,477 votes.

In the past, Chiu had suspected that there were indeed CCP operatives working to undermine his campaign.

The Foreign Interference Commission, as it is known is being headed by Justice Marie-Josée Hogue, who had earlier said that she and her lawyers will remain “impartial” and will not be influenced by politics and began on January 29.

In January, Hogue said that she would “uncover the truth whatever it may be.”

Numerous internal memos have been released by the Commission that show that the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) as well as others deemed that Chiu was indeed targeted by foreign agents of the CCP.

When asked by Commission Counsel Matthew Ferguson asked if he was “aware of any of these reports at the time? A clearly concerned Chiu replied, “No.”

Retired CSIS Assistant Director Cherie Henderson says the agency is “very alive” to foreign interference and seems well aware of the ways it targets diaspora communities inside Canada.

The world’s geopolitics has grown more conflicted by the day. Now, it arises that India and Pakistan are at each other’s throats – again.

It all started when The Guardian reported that the Indian government is eliminating alleged terrorists in Pakistan as part of its new, wider strategy to eliminate terrorists living on foreign soil.

“Interviews with intelligence officials in both countries, as well as documents shared by Pakistani investigators, shed new light on how India’s foreign intelligence agency allegedly began to carry out assassinations abroad as part of an emboldened approach to national security after 2019. The agency, the Research & Analysis Wing (Raw), is directly controlled by the office of India’s prime minister, Narendra Modi, who is running for a third term in office in elections later this month.”

These allegations refer to individuals charged with serious and violent terror offenses, but India has also been accused publicly by the US and Canada of involvement in the murders of dissident figures.

“The fresh claims relate to almost 20 killings since 2020, carried out by unknown gunmen in Pakistan. While India has previously been unofficially linked to the deaths, this is the first time Indian intelligence personnel have discussed the alleged operations in Pakistan, and detailed documentation has been seen alleging Raw’s direct involvement in the assassinations.

According to Pakistani investigators, these deaths were orchestrated by Indian intelligence sleeper-cells mostly operating out of the United Arab Emirates. The rise in killings in 2023 was credited to the increased activity of these cells, which are accused of paying millions of rupees to local criminals or poor Pakistanis to carry out the assassinations. Indian agents also allegedly recruited jihadists to carry out the shootings, making them believe they were killing “infidels.”

The focus on dissidents abroad was triggered by an attack in 2019, when a suicide bomber targeted a military convoy in Kashmir, killing 40 paramilitary personnel.

The Guardian revelations caused deep ripples across the East. You would perhaps think that Indian officials would deny all this – but no! Look at the proud reaction from the Minister of Defense Singh in the Reuters report:

“India will enter Pakistan to kill anyone who escapes over the border after trying to carry out terrorist activities in the country, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh told broadcaster CNN News18 on Friday.

[…]’If they run away to Pakistan, we will enter Pakistan to kill them’, Singh told the channel in response to a question about the report.

‘India always wants to maintain good relations with its neighboring countries … But if anyone shows India the angry eyes again and again, comes to India and tries to promote terrorist activities, we will not spare them’, Singh said.”

As you would expect, the reaction from Pakistan was swift, denouncing the ‘provocative remarks.’

Al-Jazeera reported:

“‘India’s assertion of its preparedness to extra-judicially execute more civilians, arbitrarily pronounced as ‘terrorists’, inside Pakistan constitutes a clear admission of culpability’, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Saturday.

The ministry also said that such ‘myopic and irresponsible behaviour’ not only undermines regional peace but also impedes the prospect of constructive engagement in the long term.

‘Pakistan stands resolute in its intent and ability to safeguard its sovereignty against any act of aggression’, the ministry added.”

As India and Pakistan have engaged in no less than FOUR wars – in 1947, 1965, 1971 and 1999 – it bears keeping an eye on the developments.

Joe Biden’s campaign finance chair Rufus Gifford was on MSNBC on Saturday to discuss fundraising.

Even though Biden has been perceived as weak on the world stage, a delusional Gifford told a different story.

“There is no one who has a better grasp of global issues of world affairs than President Joe Biden,” Gifford said.

“There is no one who has the same level of respect on the world stage than Joe Biden does,” Gifford continued.

Joe Biden has demonstrated on many occasions that he is on a cognitive decline. Biden was in Baltimore this week for an aerial tour of the collapsed Francis Scott Key Bridge. He actually had to be guided to giant Xs taped to the ground for a briefing.

Gifford criticized President Trump for his fundraising efforts while ignoring the fact that Biden held a fundraising event with wealthy celebrities and two former Presidents, Obama and Clinton, where they apparently charged $100,000 for a photo.

You’ve asked me several questions on this thread and accused me of avoiding answering, so here goes.

I believe a woman is a human being who belongs to the sex class that produces large gametes. It’s irrelevant whether or not her gametes have ever been fertilised, whether or not she’s carried a baby to term, irrelevant if she was born with a rare difference of sexual development that makes neither of the above possible, or if she’s aged beyond being able to produce viable eggs. She is a woman and just as much a woman as the others.

I don’t believe a woman is more or less of a woman for having sex with men, women, both or not wanting sex at all. I don’t think a woman is more or less of a woman for having a buzz cut and liking suits and ties, or wearing stilettos and mini dresses, for being black, white or brown, for being six feet tall or a little person, for being kind or cruel, angry or sad, loud or retiring. She isn’t more of a woman for featuring in Playboy or being a surrendered wife, nor less of a woman for designing space rockets or taking up boxing. What makes her a woman is the fact of being born in a body that, assuming nothing has gone wrong in her physical development (which, as stated above, still doesn’t stop her being a woman), is geared towards producing eggs as opposed to sperm, towards bearing as opposed to begetting children, and irrespective of whether she’s done either of those things, or ever wants to.

Womanhood isn’t a mystical state of being, nor is it measured by how well one apes sex stereotypes. We are not the creatures either porn or the Bible tell you we are. Femaleness is not, as trans woman Andrea Chu Long wrote, ‘an open mouth, an expectant asshole, blank, blank eyes,’ nor are we God’s afterthought, sprung from Adam’s rib.

Women are provably subject to certain experiences because of our female bodies, including different forms of oppression, depending on the cultures in which we live. When trans activists say ‘I thought you didn’t want to be defined by your biology,’ it’s a feeble and transparent attempt at linguistic sleight of hand. Women don’t want to be limited, exploited, punished, or subject to other unjust treatment because of their biology, but our being female is indeed defined by our biology. It’s one material fact about us, like having freckles or disliking beetroot, neither of which are representative of our entire beings, either. Women have billions of different personalities and life stories, which have nothing to do with our bodies, although we are likely to have had experiences men don’t and can’t, because we belong to our sex class.

Some people feel strongly that they should have been, or wish to be seen as, the sex class into which they weren’t born. Gender dysphoria is a real and very painful condition and I feel nothing but sympathy for anyone who suffers from it. I want them to be free to dress and present themselves however they like and I want them to have exactly the same rights as every other citizen regarding housing, employment and personal safety. I do not, however, believe that surgeries and cross-sex hormones literally turn a person into the opposite sex, nor do I believe in the idea that each of us has a nebulous ‘gender identity’ that may or might not match our sexed bodies. I believe the ideology that preaches those tenets has caused, and continues to cause, very real harm to vulnerable people.

I am strongly against women’s and girls’ rights and protections being dismantled to accommodate trans-identified men, for the very simple reason that no study has ever demonstrated that trans-identified men don’t have exactly the same pattern of criminality as other men, and because, however they identify, men retain their advantages of speed and strength. In other words, I think the safety and rights of girls and women are more important than those men’s desire for validation.

I sincerely hope that answers your questions. You may still disagree, but as I hope this shows, I’m more than happy to have this debate.

Donald Trump is on course to break President Biden’s single-event fundraising record with an extravagant $50 million dinner on Saturday.

This will have a bolstering effect on the Republican Party’s campaign budget seven months before the election.

John Paulson’s Palm Beach mansion, near Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, will host a private evening fundraiser that will double the $25 million haul from Joe Biden’s March 28 event in Radio City, according to organizers.

The New York Post reports,

“It took three Democrat presidents to raise $25 million and one president to raise over $50 million, Donald J. Trump,” campaign spokesperson Danielle Alvarez told The Post.

“This haul shows the Republican Party is united behind President Trump to defeat Joe Biden and that nobody is staying on the sidelines,” she added.

Paulson said that the response from GOP megadonors “has been overwhelming.”

“There is massive support amongst a broad spectrum of donors,” the billionaire said.

Insiders within Trump’s close circle are praising the upcoming “Inaugural Leadership Dinner” as a key “return to Trump” event. This event will mark the premier GOP fundraiser after Trump secured the Republican nomination.

In this case, it is an ideal opportunity for prominent Republicans to proudly display their unwavering support during the upcoming heated primary season.

Trump has enlisted the help of three former GOP competitors, Indian Congressman Vivek Ramaswamy, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum.

All three will be attending the private fundraiser as special guests.

Guests will include WWE co-founder Linda McMahon, hotelier Steve Wynn, former Sen. Kelly Loeffler, and hedge fund billionaire Robert Mercer.

A joint fundraising agreement with the Republican National Committee will send most of the ticket price to the RNC and to state Republican parties — with the first $6,600 going to the former president’s campaign and the next $5,000 to a leadership PAC that has been paying his legal bills.

According to another New York Post report, The GOP announced on Wednesday that it had raised over $65.6 million in March, finishing the month with over $91.3 million in cash.

The border wall near Sunland Park, New Mexico has a giant hole in it which would give illegal aliens an opportunity to cross into the US. In this video, taken by Matt Finn of Fox News and his crew shows illegals who hesitated to go through the hole in the border wall.

The illegals accused the news crew of being racist and yelled, “Let us cross. Why are you so racist?”

Video footage on Mt. Cristo Rey shows illegals walking by after Matt Finn and his crew were there for only about 5 minutes. He also mentioned that a Border Patrol agent they spoke with told them that the cartels control this area, which is inside the US.

On the third year of the war in Ukraine, we have surely learned a  thing or two about how the Russian go about their urban sieges of Kiev-held cities – and also about how the frankly dishonest MSM proceeds with their biased coverage.

Three things stand out from the coverage of the battles for Mariupol, Bakhmut (now called Artemovsk) and Avdeevka: to begin with, it will be long and bloody. Besides that, during all the operation, fake news shills will insist on how badly things are going for the besiegers. And finally, once the town is conquered, all the media will say that the city is nothing but a ‘meaningless pile of ruble’.

And so, as the battle for key Donetsk oblast stronghold of Chasov Yar commences, the usual scenario is at play.

So Reuters will report that fighting raged on Friday between Ukrainian and Russian forces ‘near the town of Chasiv Yar’, when in fact the fight has moved inside the city.

“A rapid Russian advance on Chasiv Yar, a heavily fortified town with a pre-war population of 12,200 situated west of the ruined, Russian-occupied city of Bakhmut, would be a grim setback for Kiev.

Russia controls around 18% of Ukrainian territory and has stepped up its long-range strikes on energy infrastructure in recent weeks, causing large-scale outages.”

While the report mention that Russia’s RIA news agency ‘cited an official as saying Russian troops had entered the suburbs of the town’, there is ample space for Kiev to lie on their usual fashion.

“Andriy Zadubinnyi, spokesman for Ukraine’s eastern military command said the report [of combat inside the city] was untrue and that fighting continued. He told Reuters the situation was ‘tense’.”

Not only that, but the Reuters report, besides putting the blame for Ukrainian serial defeats on America republicans, also endorses Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s delusions:

“Zelensky said on Thursday that Ukraine had managed to stabilize its positions and that ‘given the shortage of shells and a significant slowdown in supplies, these results are really good’.”

Really? So let’s hear what his top General Syrsky has to say:

“Ukrainian Army Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky has admitted the situation on the eastern front is especially difficult for Ukrainian troops due to the offensive actions by Russian forces in three directions. 

According to him, a particularly difficult situation has developed in the Artemovsk area, east of Chasov Yar and Kleshcheevka, in Avdeyevka area, near Berdichev, Orlovka, Vodyanoy, Pervomaisky, and in the Novopavlosk area, near Novomikhailovka.”

So we have Ukraine’s top general admitting there are not one but three axis of Russian troops advance. But – ‘the results are really good’, Zelensky says.

As for the question of whether fighting is now raging inside the city, Zadubinnyi, spokesman for Ukraine’s eastern command begged Reuters: “Don’t believe the Russian reports.”

But as a matter of fact, we don’t have to ‘believe’ the Russians reports, because we have access to pictures and videos that are geolocated, so it’s not a dispute between two versions – there is ample space for the facts, too.

But why all the fuss about Chasov Yar, why is it so important?

Sputnik reported:

“Chasov Yar sits on a hill about 15 kilometers west of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) which was liberated by Russia in May 2023. 

Chasov Yar’s geographical position makes it important from a strategic standpoint, as it overlooks the surrounding area for many kilometers. 

Its boundaries are quite complex. From north to south, it is crossed by the Seversky Donets -Donbass Canal, and the O-0506 highway. There is also a railway line with a bridge over the canal.  

Chasov Yar has several industrial zones and large enterprises, such as the Chasov Yar refractory plant. Such areas could potentially be used to equip shelters or fortifications.”

Beyond Chasov Yar are Kramatorsk, Slavyansk, and Konstantinovka, the main remaining defense axis in the Donetsk oblast.

The city became a powerful fortified area reminiscent of ‘fortess Bakhmut’, now called Artemovsk.

“Liberating Chasov Yar would provide control of a logistics center that has been key for the Ukrainian Armed Forces since 2014. 

By taking control of the highway and railway hub, Russia could disrupt delivery of reinforcements and munitions to Ukrainian forces.  

Control of Chasov Yar would pave the way for advancing on the so-called Kramatorsk-Slavyansk agglomeration.”

But what are the actual Russian reports that Ukraine’s Zadubinnyi so asked us not to believe?

Slavyangrad reported:

“Paratroopers of the 98th Svir Guards Airborne Division stormed and occupied the eastern outskirts of Chasov Yar, Kanal microdistrict.

Assault units continue to attack, smash and destroy the enemy from the southeast and northeast, knocking out the Ukronazis from fortified strongholds in the forests.

[…] Along Chasov Yar, artillery and aviation with S-8 rockets are working closely, inflicting fire on identified targets.

The Russian Aerospace Forces are actively working and using KABs in sectors to burn out the enemy.”

Certain Ukrainian mistakes of the past are also about to be repeated: Zelensky can’t admit another military defeat after Avdiivka, so he is driving reserves into Chasov Yar.

“But as a result, he may simply burn up strategic reserves here for the summer campaign, as happened exactly a year ago in Artemovsk (Bakhmut).

[…] At the same time, our army today has something that did not exist a year ago – overwhelming superiority in weapons. Which will greatly complicate the enemy’s task of holding the city. It will also lead to huge, and essentially meaningless, losses.”
