In the last weeks, there has been increased chatter on the Ukrainian side about an imminent Russian attack on the large city of Kharkov, located near the border.

Sure enough, its power facilities have been heavily damaged by massive missile strikes.

Today, the attacks went a little further, as a cruise missile struck and broke in half a 240-meter television tower.

The attack would be part of a ‘deliberate effort by Moscow to make Ukraine’s second largest city uninhabitable,’ according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Reuters reported:

“The Ukrainian leader said he told U.S. President Joe Biden about the airstrike that was carried out several minutes before they spoke by telephone.

‘It is Russia’s clear intention to make the city uninhabitable’, he said in a readout of the call published on the Telegram messaging app.

The northeastern city of Kharkov with a population of 1.3 million lies just 30 km (18 miles) from the Russian border, making it an easy target for ballistic missiles and other weapons as Ukraine’s air defenses have dwindled.”

There have been no reported casualties in what appeared to have been a strike with a Kh-59 cruise missile.

“[Ukrainian authorities]  said there was “temporarily” no television signal and that they were working to restore it, urging residents of the city and region without digital television signal to use cable or online television or the radio.”

Moscow has recently stepped up its attacks, while Ukraine is suffering a shortage of air defense capabilities. Kharkov and the surrounding region have experienced the most intense strikes.

While Reuters is usually satisfied with Zelensky’s explanations of events, we can learn a lot by paying attention to Russian sources.

Slavyangrad reported on the possible objectives for the attack:

“Communication – powerful repeaters were installed on it. propaganda (television/radio) was broadcast from the tower to the territory of the Belgorod region. This includes cellular communications, internet, and TV broadcasting.

[…] ‘Eyes’ – it is possible that the ‘Sova (Owl)’ system (an optical reconnaissance device) could be installed – a complex consisting of several IP cameras. They are all connected to a neural network, which calculates where the artillery is flying. This means they receive data from the point of impact as quickly as possible.

From a military perspective, a full range of reconnaissance and guidance system repeater antennas could be installed there. These are used for drone attacks on Russian territory, artillery reconnaissance, and detection and tracking systems for attack UAVs, ballistic and cruise missiles.”

In a recent interview with Alex Jones, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene stated the Democrats ‘want Trump dead.’

Rep. Greene stated that Trump “is not invincible; he’s a man, he’s fighting as hard as possible, and he’s putting all he has into trying to win the election.”

Greene continued, “You have to remember, he’s trying to run for president again, and he has to put everything he has into defending himself against these rigged trials.”

“They literally want him dead; Billy Thompson introduced a bill to take away his Secret Service protection. They want to lock him up in jail for the rest of his life so he dies in jail, and they want to take away his secret service protection so that he is murdered,” added Greene.

As The Gateway Pundit reported on Friday, Democrat Rep. Bennie Thompson introduced a resolution to terminate Trump’s Secret Service protection.

Thompson titled the resolution the “Denying Infinite Security and Government Resources Allocated toward Convicted and Extremely Dishonorable Former Protectees Act,” or DISGRACED for short.

A judge on Monday declared a mistrial after an Arizona jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict in the murder trial for Arizona rancher George Alan Kelly.

Jurors deliberated last Thursday and were unable to reach a verdict. Deliberations continued on Friday and after more than 7 hours the jury sent a note to the judge and informed him they could not reach a verdict.

Before the jury resumed deliberations on Monday, George Kelly told News Nation’s Ali Bradley that he is confident he is going home for good after today.

“I’m goin’ home today… For good,” he said as he walked into court in Satna Cruz County.

Jurors in the murder case against a Nogales-area rancher accused of killing an unarmed migrant on his property were unable to reach a unanimous verdict and remained deadlocked on the charges.

After more than 15 hours of deliberation, the judge declared a mistrial just after 4:30 p.m.

The trial centered on the Jan. 30 death of Mexican migrant Gabriel Cuen Buitimea who was found shot after rancher George Alan Kelly fired warning shots into the air, alleged his defense attorney.

George Kelly, the Arizona rancher who was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault for defending his wife and property from illegal invaders went on trial last month.

Kelly faced a second-degree murder charge for Buitimea’s death, and an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for putting another man, Daniel Ramirez in danger. Ramirez had been traveling with Buitimea looking for work in the U.S. Buitimea’s body was found 115 yards, a football field away from Kelly’s house hours after the shooting incident.

Attorneys and the judge discussing which instructions to pass on to the jury noted the jurors looked tired and frustrated earlier that day when they told the judge they were at an impasse.

Kelly, 75, was arrested for killing Gabriel Cuen-Butimea, on his Arizona ranch in Kino Springs just outside of Nogales, Mexico on January 30, 2023.

According to reports, Gabriel Cuen-Butimea has a history of illegally crossing into the United States and multiple deportations.

According to the defense lawyers, Mr. Kelly fired warning shots after he saw a group of men dressed in camouflaged clothing point an AK-47 right at him.

George Alan Kelly was careful to shoot above their heads, the lawyers said.

The rancher later discovered the deceased illegal alien, who is likely a cartel smuggler, when he went to go check on his horse.

Kelly was initially charged with first-degree murder, but a judge recently downgraded his charge to  second-degree murder during an evidentiary hearing in court.

Kelly’s defense attorney Brenna Larkin told jurors that her client “was in a life or death situation.”

Irony struck in the Land of 10,000 Lakes on Monday when a Democrat politician was arrested for burglary after recently pushing to disarm citizens.

As the Minnesota Reformer reported, Minnesota State Senator Nicole Mitchell (DFL-Woodbury) was arrested Monday morning in Detroit Lakes and booked into the Becker County Jail for suspected first-degree burglary.

The Becker County Attorney’s Office is currently reviewing the report and has not determined yet whether Mitchell will be charged, according to KVRR.

Detroit Lakes Police Chief Steve Todd said at 4:45 a.m., a 911 dispatcher received a call from a startled homeowner on Granger Road who revealed that a burglar had broken into their house.

Officers proceeded to arrest Mitchell at the scene and transported her to prison, where she is listed on the jail’s roster.

Mitchell is in her first term as a DFL senator, having been elected in 2022. She serves as vice chair of the Senate State and Local Government and Veterans Committee.

Before entering public office, Mitchell was a TV meteorologist for KSTP and Minnesota Public Radio. She also served as a commander in the Air National Guard’s 126th Weather Flight.

Marc Kimball, the spokesman for the Senate DFL, released a curt statement saying he will not comment on Mitchell’s arrest.

The Senate DFL Caucus is aware of the situation and has no comment pending further information.

Before her arrest, Mitchell met with members of the far-left gun control group Moms Demand Action last Tuesday to push for “common-sense gun reform” and “safer communities.”

Of course, this is all Democrat code for disarming ordinary Americans.

Mitchell should count herself fortunate the homeowner did not use a gun to protect his home. Other burglars have been less lucky.

Following the vote on Saturday to fund the Ukraine War with $60 billion of borrowed money – Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) went on CNN and did not hold back when attacking several of his Republican colleagues in Congress.

Appearing on CNN’s ‘State of the Union’ with host Dana Bash, Gonzales discussed the recent passage of the multi-billion foreign aid package and the possibility that Speaker of the House Mike Johnson may be removed from office.

Rather than taking a diplomatic tone in favor of party unity, the Texas Congressman unloaded on Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Bob Good (R-VI), making various spurious allegations about their political and private lives.

Here is a transcript of the exchange:

BASH: So, you voted yes on the foreign aid package. Do you have confidence that at this point, given that it is still possible that Marjorie Taylor Greene will push to vacate, to kick out of the Speaker’s chair, that he can survive?

GONZALES: He will survive. Look, the House is a rough and rowdy place, but Mike Johnson is gonna be just fine. I served 20 years in the military. It’s my absolute honor to be in Congress, but I serve with some real scumbags. Matt Gaetz, he paid minors to have sex with him at drug parties. Bob Good endorsed my opponent, a known neo-Nazi.

These people used to walk around with white hoods at night. Now they’re walking around with white hoods in the daytime. Look, it didn’t surprise me that some of these folks voted against aid to Israel, but I was encouraged to see by a nearly 10-to-1 mark that Republicans supported our allies on the battlefield.

BASH: Wow, ok, I should say that the federal government did look into Matt Gaetz and those allegations and they decided not to prosecute.

As you can see from the final exchange, even Bash was shocked by Gonzales’s remarks.

Joe Biden on Monday delivered remarks to commemorate Earth Day at Prince William Forest Park in Virginia.

Earth Day founder Ira Einhorn died in prison four years ago.

Einhorn was convicted of murder after killing his girlfriend and composting her.

Biden marked Earth Day by announcing a $7 billion ‘solar for all’ program. The billions in federal grants would serve approximately 900,000 low-income communities.

The solar for all grants will be awarded by the EPA.

Biden’s Earth Day speech was full of gaffes and lies.

“I’ve seen the devastating toll of climate firsthand,” Biden said while falsely attributing wildfires to climate change.

Joe Biden made an absurd claim about solar panels: “And folks, solar for all will give us more breathing room and cleaner breathing room,” Biden said.

He also repeated the dubious oil slicks story where he claimed he ended up with asthma and other diseases.

Prime Minister James Marape of Papua New Guinea issued a scathing critique of Joe Biden on Sunday, following comments made by Biden that insinuated the wartime fate of his uncle involved cannibalistic acts by the natives of New Guinea.

Joe Biden accused New Guinea cannibals of likely eating his Uncle Bosey when his plane crashed on the tropical island decades ago.

On Wednesday, Biden was interviewed by reporters on the tarmac as he was departing Scranton, Pennsylvania. The shocking story concerns the final days of dear Uncle Bosey.

“Ambrose Finnegan, we called him Uncle Bosey – he was shot down, he was Army Air Corps before there was an Air Force. He flew a single-engine plane, reconnaissance flights over New Guinea and he volunteered when someone couldn’t make it and he got shot down in an area where there were a lot of cannibals…” said Joe Biden

Joe Biden later reported this story about Uncle Bosey during his remarks in Pittsburgh to a group of steelworkers.

“My Uncle Bosey he was Army Air Corps before the Air Force came along. He flew those single-engine planes as reconnaissance over war zones and he got shot down in New Guinea and they never found the body because there used to be a lot of cannibals – for real – in that part of New Guinea,” Biden said.

The Pentagon’s Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, however, provides a different account of the events, stating that Biden’s uncle’s aircraft crashed in the Pacific Ocean due to engine failure, with no evidence to suggest any involvement of cannibalism.

According to official records, “Three men failed to emerge from the sinking wreck and were lost in the crash. One crew member survived.”

The Biden White House later admitted that the story was mostly a lie – which it was. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Biden lying about cannibals eating his uncle was a “proud moment” for him.

The Prime Minister’s office released a statement expressing dismay over Biden’s comments, emphasizing that such narratives unjustly label the nation and its history.

Marape told AP, “While the president’s remarks may have been a slip of the tongue; however, my country does not deserve to be labeled as such.”

“World War II was not the doing of my people; however, they were needlessly dragged into a conflict that was not their doing,” Marape added.

“The remains of WWII lie scattered all over PNG, including the plane that carried President Biden’s uncle,” Marape said.

“Perhaps, given President Biden’s comments and the strong reaction from PNG and other parts of the world, it is time for the USA to find as many remains of World War II in PNG as possible, including those of servicemen who lost their lives like Ambrose Finnegan,” he said.

“The theaters of war in PNG and Solomon Islands are many, and littered with the remains of WWII including human remains, plane wrecks, ship wrecks, tunnels and bombs. Our people daily live with the fear of being killed by detonated bombs of WWII,” Marape added.
