In the years after the Nazis took power in 1933, they instituted hundreds of laws and policies at the national, state and local levels to systematically remove Jews from German society. Bans were placed on Jews working as doctors and lawyers and in other professions, and quotas were set, limiting Jews in schools and universities.

By 1935 Nazi-institutionalized anti-Semitism had stripped Jews of their German citizenship and barred them from municipal hospitals, legal practice, the military and even World War I memorials, effectively excommunicating them from civic life and laying the groundwork for the Nazis’ future escalation to even more severe anti-Semitic persecution, according to the Holocaust Memorial Museum.

It’s tempting to look back at the dark days of 1930s Germany under the Nazis as a distant chapter in history when ignorance and racism fueled by hateful rhetoric were allowed to contaminate an entire society and national leadership. We want to believe that could never happen again in modern times.

But a video shared by Campaign Against Antisemitism from a pro-Palestinian march in London reveals a scene that could have been right out of the 1930s.

In the video taken during the protest in central London, an officer can be seen blocking the path of Gideon Falter, a Jewish man wearing a kippah, a religious head covering, asking him to stay in place while the protesters march, according to the BBC.

“You are quite openly Jewish. This is a pro-Palestinian march. I am not accusing you of anything, but I am worried about the reaction to your presence.”

Enough is enough. It is time for a major change.

Falter, who is the chief executive of Campaign Against Antisemitism said he was simply walking around London after synagogue, according to the BBC.

“I don’t want to stay here, I want to leave,” Falter replied, after being blocked by the officer.

“In that case sir, when the crowd is gone, I will happily escort you out,” the officer responded.

When Falter tried to move past the police officer, the officer blocked his path, preventing him from leaving.

“I don’t want anybody antagonizing anybody …” the officer said as Falter protested, saying, “I just want to walk across …”

“At the moment sir, you are quite openly Jewish,” the officer responded. “This is a pro-Palestinian march. I am not accusing you of anything, but I am worried about the reaction to your presence,” the officer said.

Later in the video, another police officer attempted to defuse the situation, explaining to Falter that they were just trying to protect him.

“Do you have any idea what it’s like being a Jew in London at the moment?” Falter asked the officer.

Falter went on to explain that every Saturday, as protest routes change unpredictably through neighborhoods, being visibly Jewish means having to cross and face down “huge groups of people” in an “intimidating” atmosphere.

He said they were told repeatedly that Jews were safe in the city, “and yet,” he said, “here I find myself in this bubble. This guy has just been shouting at me and shoving me because I want to cross the road.”

Later in the video, another police officer can be seen telling Falter, “There’s a unit of people here now. You will be escorted out of this area so you can go about your business, go where you want freely, or if you choose to remain here, because you are causing a breach of peace, with all these other people, you will be arrested.”

“If I remain here, you will arrest me?” Falter asks incredulously.

“Your presence here is antagonizing a large group of people that we can’t deal with all of them if they attack you … because your presence is antagonizing them,” the officer responds.

The video also shows some people shouting “Scum” at the Jewish man. Another protester shouted “Nazi,” while yet another brazenly confronted him in front of officers, telling him, “I’m watching your movement … that’s right. We’re all going to watch your movements and record you. The police ain’t gonna help you in this scenario.”

“After months of being gaslit by the [Metropolitan Police], it’s not safe for Jews to be walking in the presence of these protests. And was there anything so crazy about what we were trying to do? Just walking around our home city on a Saturday?” Falter said in the accompanying video narrative.

“‘Is this something that we are willing to accept? That now the police have to keep Jews away? We mustn’t accept it,” he said.

“It has been six months now,” Falter said in the accompanying narrative, “six months, where every single weekend, we have to witness the streets of London awash with people, many of whom seem to have no problem at all declaring their full-throated support for Hamas, waving around anti-Semitic placards, calling for jihad, showing swastikas, waving anti-Semitic flags. It’s enough. Enough,” he said.

The police have since apologized for the officer’s choice of words, stating, “Being Jewish is not a provocation. Jewish Londoners must be able to feel safe in this city,” according to the BBC, but the incident is a clear example of a growing sentiment.

We are watching an eerie flashback of the 1930s playing right before our eyes.

And the U.S. is not far behind.

Chants of “From the river to the sea” have been heard on almost every city street and college campus, even in New York — a city that holds the largest population of Jewish people outside of Israel.

The 1930s did not begin with gas chambers and concentration camps, but with the pervasive mindset that one’s religious identity alone is a provocation worthy of exclusion from society.

It doesn’t feel like we have learned anything from that dark time in history.

More often than not, surveys tend to quantify what impressions have already conveyed. And when it comes to quantifying faith, those impressions might suggest few apparent reasons to hope for good news.

Nonetheless, a new “State of the Bible 2024” survey by the American Bible Society did reveal at least one piece of hopeful news: Amid an otherwise depressing set of revelations, 15 percent of respondents reported an increase in their personal Bible use from 2023 to 2024.

The Jerusalem Post called this a “resilient, albeit small, group of individuals deepening their engagement with scripture.”

Small and resilient, yes, but 15 percent represents a strong minority within a larger-yet-dwindling minority of adults who reported any meaningful Bible engagement at all.

For instance, the “State of the Bible USA 2024” survey revealed that, apart from church services, only 38 percent of American adults “engage with the Bible” as often as three or four times per year outside of church. That number marked a slight decrease from 40 percent in 2023.

Worse yet, as recently as 2011, 50 percent of respondents reported that same frequency of Bible engagement.

The most obvious explanation for that decline lies in generational priorities. As Americans born during the first half of the 20th century have passed away, their beliefs have died with them.

And if the loss of the World War II generation did not already fill us with melancholy, then the realization that Gen-Z values have begun to replace those older beliefs might make us despondent.

Indeed, the survey rated only 11 percent of Gen-Z adults as “Scripture Engaged,” based on a new Spiritual Vitality Gauge that uses nine important questions to assess respondents’ spiritual health.

Furthermore, as measured by the Scripture Vitality Gauge, the number of Americans categorized as spiritually “Ailing” rose from 21 percent to 28 percent since last year.

The decline in Bible engagement also has regional dimensions with partly historical explanations.

For instance, of all the survey’s Bible-engaged respondents, nearly twice as many hailed from the American South as from the Northeast or Midwest.

That makes sense in light of the Protestant influence in Southern history. By contrast, Northern cities in the 19th century experienced multiple waves of mass immigration from predominantly Catholic countries or regions, such as Ireland, Italy and Eastern Europe.

Catholicism, of course, offers its own kind of spiritual vitality. Historically, however, it has not encouraged believers to engage with the Bible in the same way that Protestantism has.

In light of all this, what should we make of Americans’ spiritual health in 2024?

To begin, we might borrow a phrase from prominent Canadian psychologist and political conservative Jordan Peterson.

In a 2022 appearance on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, Peterson beautifully described Christ’s Passion and Resurrection.

“You look far enough into the abyss, you see the light,” Peterson said.

Readers may view a clip of those comments in the YouTube video below. Peterson began talking about the gospels around the 6:25 mark and continued for more than three minutes.

Seeing the light after staring into the abyss seems an apt description of one possible reaction to the spiritual-health survey.

Yes, things look bad, especially for Gen-Z.

On the other hand, in addition to the 15 percent who reported increased Bible engagement, another 53 percent said they wished they could read the Bible more often than they did.

That result would appear to confirm another impression derived from the recent experience of simply living in the world.

In short, as Gen Z’s woke values win cultural ascendancy, exasperated Americans know they can find an antidote in Biblical truth.

Biden continues paying off successful young voters: Sorry, I mean “forgiving student debt.” Biden this week paid off another $7.4 billion in student loans, making his total student loan cancellation something like $153 billion. And by cancellation, I mean tax dollars were used to make the ledger go to zero.

How much exactly? From Penn Wharton’s analysis: “We estimate that President Biden’s recently announced ‘New Plans’ to provide relief to student borrowers will cost $84 billion, in addition to the $475 billion that we previously estimated for President Biden’s SAVE plan.” But that goes to really needy people, right? Well, actually, at least 750,000 of those households are “making over $312,000 in average household income.”

Meanwhile, to anyone who questions this allocation of resources, the White House answer is to shame them from official White House accounts by listing how much in pandemic loans were forgiven for House Republicans who own individual small business, which is weird because the reason businesses needed pandemic relief was because the White House banned them from operating. It’s a trap! And the only answer is to pay off every Media Studies PhD student’s loan. Colleges, for their part, are now charging up to $100,000 a year. Yes, literally. And since that’s ultimately going to be paid for by the taxpayers, why work to make it less expensive? Why cut corners when you need to remodel the cafeteria?

This is such blatant corruption.

Monday, April 15, was the two-year anniversary of the worst day of our life—the day my wife Kathy and I lost our son Joey to fentanyl poisoning. Joey had his struggles, but never did we imagine his life would be taken by a poison infiltrating our southern border from our enemies.

Our family isn’t alone. There has been a 1,000-percent increase in fentanyl deaths among young people from 2020–2023.  Over 100,000 American sons and daughters are dying every year due to fentanyl. More than 300 Americans are dying every day from fentanyl poisonings. If a jetliner was going down every day, we would stop everything and get it fixed.

As our border remains flooded with deadly drugs that are destroying our families and killing our children, it’s no surprise that immigration and border security are the top issues for voters. Yet our own president and so many in Congress sit as bystanders from their perches in Washington as deaths surge. 

That’s why I’m proposing a pledge to our homeland—a litmus test, if you will—for Americans to demand of any candidate or politician who asks them for their vote:

1.     Secure the border

2.     Call for the classification of fentanyl as a Weapon of Mass Destruction

3.     Hold domestic and international dealers accountable for deaths and enact stricter penalties

These are simple promises, the bare minimum to protect our children, our national security, and our sovereignty as a nation. 

Secure the border: Since President Biden has been in office, more people have crossed the border illegally than the entire population of my home state of Indiana. And those are just the ones we’ve documented.

We don’t have to imagine hundreds of thousands of deaths from the deadliest drugs, surging crime at the hands of illegal immigrants, or human traffickers invading our border—it’s already happening on our own soil. 

We don’t need new laws to secure the border. We need leaders in Washington with a spine to enforce the existing laws on the books. We need to build the wall and implement cutting-edge technology to keep out the criminals, cartels, and bad actors who are using Washington’s incompetence for their own sick gain. 

Call for the classification of fentanyl as a Weapon of Mass Destruction: Illegal fentanyl acts as a weapon of mass destruction in America. We need to treat it as such to end this crisis. Just two milligrams of fentanyl are needed to kill an adult. It can easily be placed in other substances, and already is: according to reports, at least one third of illicitly manufactured pills contain fentanyl. Government analyses have identified fentanyl as a probable medium for chemical attacks against the United States.

I am calling on Congress and the Biden Administration to declare illegal fentanyl a Weapon of Mass Destruction (WMDs), which will help equip law enforcement with more tools from the Department of Homeland Security—detection technology, analytics, field training and support—to protect Hoosiers and all Americans from this highly lethal substance. 

Hold domestic and international dealers accountable for deaths and enact stricter penalties: Americans are the victims of a one-sided opium war with China, and our leaders sit by and do nothing. We must hold both domestic and international dealers accountable for fentanyl-poisoning deaths and implement stricter penalties—whether criminal penalties or sanctions on foreign nationals—to deter the production and distribution in the first place.

According to the DEA, China is the primary manufacturer of fentanyl and the ingredients used to make fentanyl. These lethal substances are then trafficked to Mexican cartels that smuggle most of the fentanyl that reaches the U.S. across our southern border. The threat of an enemy, either foreign or domestic, using fentanyl to harm Americans cannot be understated, especially as geopolitical tensions across the globe and especially with China heat up. 

Securing the border, calling for the classification of fentanyl as WMD, and working for stronger penalties for domestic and international fentanyl dealers make up just the tip of the spear. Our family is very proud of Joey and the difference he made in his life here, and his legacy will continue. No family should have to experience what we have. I will fight tooth and nail to end this mass poisoning of our country’s sons and daughters. And anyone asking to represent or lead you should commit to do the same.

Same-sex marriage advocates lost 32 times in a row before November 2012, when several states then voted in their favor. Yet at no point during that extensive losing streak did they settle for a “compromise,” like civil unions or domestic unions, as their ultimate goal. Neither should we, pro-life Americans, settle for a compromise—in this case, a 15-week abortion ban that (in the words of a prominent presidential candidate) “everybody can live with.” 

After all, who is “everybody”? Progressives advocating for abortion at 40-weeks and denying healthcare to babies who survive an abortion? Conservatives who are simultaneously grateful to SCOTUS for effectively nullifying the bad science of 1973 but who still know that life begins at conception? Especially with Roe gone, a 15-week abortion ban that prevents only 3 percent of all abortions and essentially leaves us more pro-abortion than most of Europe is not winning. Winning is going all the way. 

After losing referendum after referendum, same-sex marriage advocates didn’t go away; they went for broke. Just three years after winning their first referendum, they achieved total victory on June 26, 2015 when the Supreme Court redefined marriage for all 50 states with Obergefell. And, less than a decade later, there is no meaningful political opposition to same-sex marriage. We must learn an essential lesson from our opposition’s success: a series of defeats at the ballot box does not mean ultimate triumph is impossible.

Fortunately, the winds are in our favor. People are waking up and rejecting the pseudo-science that has been shoved down our throats by an unholy alliance between radical activists and Big Pharma. Recently, the UK, Sweden, Norway, France, and other European nations pumped the brakes on drugging and mutilating children. Similarly, medical research reveals with increasing detail what we’ve already known to be true: Life begins at conception. Improved prenatal imaging and technology allow us to watch it with our own eyes. 

No number of weeks picked out of thin air is going to satisfy our adversaries. The anti-life left just wants us to believe that our righteous cause is politically pointless. But we will not go away. According to the latest polling, abortion is the top voting issue for between 5 and 12 percent of voters. There is no doubt this can impact an election in a closely divided America. But there is no way to know for sure if these voters are pro-choice or pro-life, or if, in the end, they’ll vote on another issue come November.

What we know for sure is that killing babies is evil. Due to that conviction, Republican candidates who flounder and fail to act courageously could lose support among pro-life voters. Donald Trump wouldn’t have won in 2016 without SCOTUS taking center stage following the passing of Justice Antonin Scalia. He needs that base to retake the White House, and that base, which resides well outside the Beltway, is nowhere near accepting 15 weeks in a post-Roe America. 

President Trump, like many Republicans, disappointed many pro-lifers after Dobbs. But he rightly corrected course by bailing on a 15-week ban. There should not be no such ban, federal or otherwise. Not because such a ban is too pro-life, but because it is not pro-life at all. Let’s trust the truth and go to work.

Massachusetts Transportation Secretary Monica Tibbits-Nutt is trying to find new ways to generate revenue for the state. Taxpayers are apparently not already being squeezed hard enough in the state.

During a meeting with a liberal group this week, she described her efforts and vowed to chase new revenue aggressively.

It’s disturbing to hear a state leader talking in this way, frankly suggesting that she is going after ‘everybody who has money.’

The Commonwealth Beacon reported:

The secretary promised to be aggressive in pursuing change even in the face of strong opposition. To buttress that point, she said she will not spend any time making decisions with the goal of hanging on to her job. She also said Gov. Maura Healey has her back. “This governor likes fights. She does. She loves to fight,” Tibbits-Nutt said, according to a video of her talk on the Walk Massachusetts website.

The secretary is heading a task force charged with coming up with a new funding model for transportation by the end of the year. Many insiders are openly skeptical the task force can reach consensus on a package that can make it through the Legislature, but Tibbits-Nutt said the group will be focused on getting results. She also ticked off several revenue initiatives she is interested in.

“This [task force] is actually different because we’re not censoring it,” she said. “I’m going to talk about tolling. I’m going to talk about charging TNCs [transportation network companies like Uber and Lyft] more. I’m going to talk about potentially charging more for package deliveries, charging more for payroll tax — basically going after everybody who has money. And when I’m talking tolling, I’m talking at the borders. I’m not talking within Massachusetts.”

Marxist New York Attorney General Letitia James asked a judge to void Trump’s $175 million bond that he posted to appeal the civil fraud case

Letitia James argued that California-based Knight Specialty Insurance Company (KSIC) is not approved to do business in New York.

James also questioned whether KSIC has the funds to back up the $175 million bond Trump previously posted.

“Based on KSIC’s policyholder surplus in its most recent annual financial statement of $138,441,671, the limitation of loss on any one risk that KSIC is permitted to write is $13.8 million,” Letitia James’ office wrote in a 26-page filing according to Fox News. “The face amount of the bond exceeds this limitation by $161.2 million.”

James also argued in her filing: “KSIC is not qualified to act as the surety under this standard because its management has been found by federal authorities to have operated affiliated companies within KSIC’s holding company structure in violation of federal law on multiple occasions within the past several years.”

“KSIC does not now have an exclusive right to control the account and will not obtain such control unless and until it exercises a right to do so on two days’ notice,” James’ office wrote in the filing.

Letitia James asked the judge to void Trump’s bond and require him to post another bond within 7 days of the court’s decision.

Fox News reported:

New York Attorney General Letitia James is pushing the judge in former President Donald Trump’s civil fraud case to void the $175 million bond that Trump previously posted to appeal his New York civil lawsuit.

In her 26-page filing obtained by Fox News Digital, James questions whether the insurance company has sufficient funds to back it up.

Trump’s bond was posted by California-based Knight Specialty Insurance Company (KSIC), but James argued that the insurer was “not authorized” to write business in New York, stating it is a small insurer that is not authorized to write business in New York and is not regulated by the state’s insurance department, had never before written a surety bond in New York or in the prior two years in any other jurisdiction, and has a total policyholder surplus of just $138 million.

The company has a total policyholder surplus of just $138 million, the filing states. According to New York state law, smaller businesses like KSIC are not permitted to expose themselves to liabilities, like a bond, or any potential loss greater than 10 percent of their surplus.

An appellate court last month ruled that President Trump can post a $175 million bond to cover Letitia James’ $464 million judgment.

Letitia James last month took the initial step to seize Trump’s assets. She filed judgments in Westchester County where Trump’s private estate and golf course named Seven Springs is located.

President Trump had to either pay the judgment or convince the appellate court to allow him to defer the payment pending appeal.

Trump’s legal team filed an appeal and requested a stay on the massive $464 million judgment last month.

Last month Trump’s attorneys sent a letter to the Appellate Division of New York’s Supreme Court and asserted Letitia James’ actions are “unconstitutional.”

The appellate court intervened and ruled Trump can post $175 million bond.

“It is ordered that the motion is granted to the extent of staying enforcement of those portions of the Judgment (1) ordering disgorgement to the Attorney General of $464,576,230.62, conditioned on defendants-appellants posting, within ten (10) days of the date of this order, an undertaking in the amount of $175 million dollars,” the two-page order from the appellate said, according to ABC News.

Letitia James immediately launched an attack on Trump after the appellate court lowered the bond to $175 million and now she’s trying to void it so she can seize Trump’s properties.

Remember last year, when it was leaked that the left was trying to ban gas stoves and people like Chuck Schumer condescendingly insisted that no one is coming for your gas stove?

A climate change group called the ‘Gas Leaks Action Campaign’ has serious financial backing and is working with prominent liberal Democrats in the House and Senate.

A secretive climate activist group with significant financial backing is quietly taking on a more prominent role advocating against natural, gas-powered appliances, like stoves.

The Gas Leaks Action Campaign — which appears to have been first established in late 2021 or early 2022 — recently launched a $1 million ad campaign warning of the dangers posed by natural gas, the largest-ever effort of its kind. The group states on its website that natural gas harms the environment, pollutes the air inside homes and makes stoves “constantly at risk of explosion.”

The group has also spearheaded a campaign against the American Gas Association (AGA), the nation’s leading industry group representing natural gas providers. At a Washington, D.C. event earlier this month, Gas Leaks hosted Sens. Ed Markey, D-Mass., and Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., along with several environmental groups like the Sierra Club to blast the AGA’s lobbying activities.

“Instead of turning off the tap on fossil fuels, our country has been flooding the market with gas and, unless we do something, we are all going to drown,” said Markey, who is an original sponsor of the Green New Deal.

It’s so funny how they assured us all that this wasn’t happening, and yet, here we are.

The House of Representatives easily passed legislation Saturday that will lead to an inevitable ban on Chinese-run TikTok in America with 25 GOPers voting no.

The ban was tied to the vote on a $95 billion foreign aid package dominated by $60+ billion for Ukraine. As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson and Cassandra MacDonald both noted, Democrats erupted in loud cheers and waved UKRAINIAN flags after the globalist sellout was complete.

The legislation theoretically does give an out to TikTok if it divests from China and the social media company is given up to a year to find a non-Chinese company as its new owner.

But the Chinese government is opposed to a sale with no evidence that minds have changed. Thus, the 170 million TikTok users in the U.S. can kiss their favorite social media platform goodbye in the coming months, barring a miraculous turn of events.

U.S. troops are being removed from Niger by the Biden administration, but no timeline has been announced.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, a U.S. defense official confirmed the removal process had begun, indicating that talks between the U.S. and Niger related to the “orderly removal” of troops had kicked off.

“We can confirm the beginning of discussions between the U.S. and Niger for the orderly withdrawal of U.S. forces from the country,” the official said.

According to the Fox News report, neither the official nor the U.S. Africa Command provided a timeline for troop removal.

The official did not provide a timeline for when troops would be removed from the West African country, but noted that individuals from the Pentagon and the U.S. Africa Command would be engaged in the conversations related to the removal process.

“The DoD is providing a small delegation from the Pentagon and U.S. Africa Command to participate in the discussions. In terms of departure timing, we do not want to speculate and get ahead of the planning discussions,” the official said.

The planned departure, which some experts view as a blow to Washington and its allies in the region in terms of staging security operations in the Sahel, comes as U.S. officials said they were trying to find a new military agreement.

Niger plays a central role in the U.S. military’s operations in Africa’s Sahel region, an area on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Washington is concerned about the spread of jihadi violence, where local groups have pledged allegiance to al-Qaida and the Islamic State groups.

Agadez, about 550 miles from the capital Niamey, is home to one of Africa’s largest U.S. air bases. During its operation, the air base has been used for manned and unmanned surveillance flights and other operations. In addition, the U.S. has spent hundreds of millions of dollars training the Niger military ever since 2013.

However relations have frayed between Niger and Western countries since mutinous soldiers ousted the country’s democratically elected president in July. Niger’s junta has since told French forces to leave and turned instead to Russia for security. Earlier this month, Russian military trainers arrived to reinforce the country’s air defenses and with Russian equipment to train Nigeriens to use.

There was an attempt on the behalf of the U.S. to revise the military agreement with Niger that would allow them to stay, U.S. officials told The Associated Press. However, the agreement between Ali Lamine Zeine, Niger’s prime minister, and U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell shows that the effort has failed.

The loss of access to air bases in Niger is a major setback for the U.S. and its allies in the region because of its strategic location for security operations in the Sahel, Peter Pham, the former U.S. special envoy for the Sahel region, said, according to The Associated Press.
