Hanoi Jane Fonda Says Climate Crisis is a “Manifestation of Racism, Misogyny and Patriarchy”

Far-left wacko activist actress Jane Fonda is back on the climate protest circuit.

In a recent talk with college students at USC Annenberg, Fonda said the climate crisis is a “manifestation of racism, misogyny and patriarchy.”

She then apologized to the young people at the event, “I’m sorry that we’ve created this issue for you.”

Last summer, Fonda gathered with heavy hitters in Hollywood and led a three-day summit to talk about how they can more effectively destroy their business with more leftist messages and push climate change propaganda.

In 2023 at the Cannes Film Festival, Fonda said white men are to blame for the climate crisis and called for them to be jailed.

“This is serious,” Fonda said Saturday in Cannes, according to Fox News. “We’ve got about seven, eight years to cut ourselves in half of what we use of fossil fuels, and unfortunately, the people that have the least responsibility for it are hit the hardest — Global South, people on islands, poor people of color. It is a tragedy that we have to absolutely stop. We have to arrest and jail those men — they’re all men [behind this].”

Fox News reports:

During the event, Fonda shared with the crowd how she got her start in climate activism, talked a bit about her Fire Drill Fridays rallies that she started in 2019 to protest inaction on climate change, and spoke about the time she spent in jail after being arrested during a protest.

“I turned 82 in jail. What was so great is that most of the people that came had never been to a rally before and never gotten arrested before,” she said.

The actress also apologized to the young audience as they must bear the damage caused by climate change. “I’m sorry that we’ve created this issue for you,” she said. “But we can overcome it if we work fast and create awareness.”

Fonda stressed the stakes of the moment, declaring, “We have to change people. The climate crisis is a manifestation of racism, misogyny and patriarchy. It’s a mindset. When we confront the fossil fuel industry, we have to work on our mindsets.”

Euthanasia Campaign Now Admits When People Die it Saves Money!

This article originally appeared on WND.com

‘We have to remove the stigma between life and death’

The campaign for euthanasia has been bathed in altruistic claims for several years already.

It relieves the terminally ill of pain. It allows them to die with dignity. It gives them control over their demise, which they otherwise might not have in a hospital or hospice. It is a right they should be allowed to exercise. And more.

But a new report from European Conservative documents that the chief of a health insurance conglomerate in Belgium, Luc Van Gorp, admits it is a “money-saving solution.”

He heads a group that styles itself as “Christelijke Mutualiteit,” or Christian Mutual Insurance.

He is lobbying for changes in the law that would allow people to be allowed to signal that their lives “are done with” and get state help in dying.

The prerequisite right now is that there be evidence of “unbearable suffering.”

The report explained the head of the “Christian-in-name-only” corporation expressed his hopes during a recent interview.

“We have to remove the stigma between life and death,” he said. “I have never understood why we always debate the quantity of life. We want people to get as old as possible, we do everything to accomplish this. But we never ask the question of how quantity relates to quality of life.”

He added, “This debate needs to be placed high on the political agenda. As a society we are going to have to consider how to organize that care [for the elderly] in the future, knowing that we are short on hands already today.”

He said an in-house study confirmed an aging population is becoming an issue in Belgium, because by 2050, the number of people over age 80 will double to 1.2 million.

“How are we going to prepare for that?” he wondered. “Not by building mass residential care centers if they won’t contribute to quality of life. If we are not going to be able to sustain the mass of people who need care, how are we going to engage in a talk with them?”

He insists people “should have the freedom to end their lives” “even if there is no unbearable suffering…”

“What if the quality of care is perfect, but the person still does not experience quality of life? What do you do then, when there are still people who indicate that they are done with life?”

He continued, “We have to remove the stigma between life and death. Not through harsh euthanasia, because that scares people away. But by allowing people to indicate that it [their life] has been good [and that it can end now].”

The Christian Institute explained Van Gorp was bluntly pushing for people who are “tired of life” to be allowed to die to “avert a social funding crisis.”

Biden Officials Trash Netanyahu and Israel in Leaks to Media As Iran Attacks Israel

Even as the U.S. was defending Israel from a sustained aerial attack by Iran and Joe Biden was speaking by phone to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, senior Biden administration officials were trashing Netanyahu and Israel in leaks to the media.

Joe Biden meets with his national security team in the Situation Room at the White House to discuss the attack by Iran on Israel, April 13, 2024, White House photo.

NBC News reported Biden has privately said he fears Netanyahu is trying to drag the U.S. into war while a senior administration official told NBC, “The Israelis don’t always make the best strategic decisions.”

Excerpt from NBC report headlined, “U.S. concerned Israel will respond to Iran without thought to potential fallout”

Some top U.S. officials are concerned Israel could do something quickly in response to Iran’s attacks without thinking through potential fallout afterward, according to a senior administration official and a senior defense official.

…President Joe Biden has privately expressed concern that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to drag the U.S. more deeply into a broader conflict, according to three people familiar with his comments.

…“I don’t think they had a strategy,” the senior administration official said. “The Israelis don’t always make the best strategic decisions.”

A week ago Biden threatened Netanyahu over aid to Israel over its conduct in Gaza trying to defeat Hamas, according to a White House statement issued April 4:

President Biden spoke by telephone with Prime Minister Netanyahu. The two leaders discussed the situation in Gaza. President Biden emphasized that the strikes on humanitarian workers and the overall humanitarian situation are unacceptable. He made clear the need for Israel to announce and implement a series of specific, concrete, and measurable steps to address civilian harm, humanitarian suffering, and the safety of aid workers. He made clear that U.S. policy with respect to Gaza will be determined by our assessment of Israel’s immediate action on these steps. He underscored that an immediate ceasefire is essential to stabilize and improve the humanitarian situation and protect innocent civilians, and he urged the Prime Minister to empower his negotiators to conclude a deal without delay to bring the hostages home. The two leaders also discussed public Iranian threats against Israel and the Israeli people. President Biden made clear that the United States strongly supports Israel in the face of those threats.”

Saturday night Biden was acting like he is Israel’s best friend again.

Biden released a statement late Saturday night on the Iranian attack and his phone call with Netanyahu:

Earlier today, Iran—and its proxies operating out of Yemen, Syria and Iraq—launched an unprecedented air attack against military facilities in Israel. I condemn these attacks in the strongest possible terms.

At my direction, to support the defense of Israel, the U.S. military moved aircraft and ballistic missile defense destroyers to the region over the course of the past week. Thanks to these deployments and the extraordinary skill of our servicemembers, we helped Israel take down nearly all of the incoming drones and missiles.

I’ve just spoken with Prime Minister Netanyahu to reaffirm America’s ironclad commitment to the security of Israel. I told him that Israel demonstrated a remarkable capacity to defend against and defeat even unprecedented attacks – sending a clear message to its foes that they cannot effectively threaten the security of Israel.

Tomorrow, I will convene my fellow G7 leaders to coordinate a united diplomatic response to Iran’s brazen attack. My team will engage with their counterparts across the region. And we will stay in close touch with Israel’s leaders. And while we have not seen attacks on our forces or facilities today, we will remain vigilant to all threats and will not hesitate to take all necessary action to protect our people.

Here’s the Poll That Has Democrats Panicked About the 2024 Election

There have been multiple polls in recent months that show Trump leading Joe Biden in the swing states and those polls are making Democrats very nervous, but another new poll has some Democrats much more worried.

This poll has to do with voter identification. Democrats have had a strong advantage on this for years but that has changed.

The split between Americans who identify as Democrat vs. Republican is now almost perfectly even.

Nick Arama reports at RedState:

Fascinating Poll Shows Another Major Voter Shift That Brings Good News for GOP

Since the 90s, when Republicans last had a lead in voter identification, there had been a shift toward people identifying as Democrats until there were 5 percent more voters identifying as Democrats than Republicans in 2020.

But now there appears to have been a shift back toward the right, according to a just-released Pew Research Center analysis comparing the numbers for the last twenty years until 2023.

However, the Pew results from 2023 reveal a significant shift in party affiliation this cycle, reporting that 49% of voters identify as Democrat or leaning Democrat, while 48% identify as Republican or leaning Republican.

Additionally, about 33% of respondents said they identify as being conservative or moderate in 2023, while the other side of the aisle only sees 23% identifying as liberal Democrats or leaning liberal.

That means Democrats had been five points up and now it’s almost even, and now more identifying as conservative than liberal as well.

Take a look at the breakdown below:

THIS is what has Insider & career politician Democrats losing their freaking minds.

Party affiliation trends from 2020->now (net Rep – Dem):

Overall: +4

• White:+2
• Black:+9
• Hispanic:+8
• Asian:+8 https://t.co/Gv1zguKYOH

— Spreader of Misinformation (@fake_news_guy_) April 9, 2024

All of that is bad news for Democrats and great news for Trump and Republicans. The country is trending to the right.

Confessions of a Former Fare Hopper

Confessions of a Former Fare Hopper

If everyone is behaving badly, things fall apart.

Last week, a 16-year-old boy shot a 14-year-old boy in the head on the Brookland Metro platform, just a few blocks away from where I work. It was about 4:00 p.m. and the station was crowded with kids who had just got out of school. I have been down there many times at that hour, and I can imagine the scene: teenagers jostling, fighting, annoying the other commuters, until things get out of hand and pop pop—someone’s dead.

These things don’t happen too often, but when they do, everyone starts looking for explanations beyond blind chance. It was widely circulated in the hours afterward that the shooter was also a fare hopper. The fact came as no surprise. Fare evasion is a huge problem on the D.C. Metro, especially among the younger set, who, more than older people, generally don’t see it as a very serious offense. But it is a serious offense, fare-hopper hawks respond. An incident such as this most recent shooting proves it: commit small crimes, like jumping a turnstile, and pretty soon you could be committing big ones, like clocking a kid in the head. Little distortions of public order blot and blacken the canvas until it resembles a monstrous work of abstract expressionism.

But I have to wonder if fare hopping always and inevitably leads to worse things. In the case of the shooter, I think the fact that he didn’t pay for the Metro was incidental to his other problems. At any rate, the question has some personal significance for me. Until rather recently, I never paid for public transportation in D.C. or in any other city when I could help it. Of course I do now—these responsibilities seem to accompany marriage and fatherhood—but if I did not, would I really be so dissipated? Or, on the other hand, would I be too warped even to know? After the shooting, I wondered aloud with my sister, who lives near the Brookland Metro station, and revisited my fare-hopping days.

I don’t know when I stopped paying for the Metro. High school, I guess. My rationale at first was that I had no money, and in those days it was easy to get on the train without paying for it. You didn’t even have to jump the turnstile. All you had to do was wait until someone else paid, and then you could walk very quickly behind him before the automatic gates closed. (Or, if your legs were skinny enough, you could squeeze between the gap in the two doors without setting off the alarm.) It was not hard to get away with this trick in the suburban Virginia stations. There, most everyone paid for the Metro, leaving no shortage of people to tail.

When I had my first job, I maintained my excuse. Now I had rent, utilities, and a whole host of other adult expenses to pay for—why should I add the Metro, which I had never paid for anyway? Still, I had a conscience. I understood that it was one thing to dodge fares as some puke kid in high school; it was quite another to do the same thing as a white-collar professional in Rosslyn, Virginia. And so I developed a strange habit of pretending to pay for the Metro: Whenever I walked quickly behind another commuter, I swiped my old Library of Congress reader’s card to give the impression to anyone who might be watching that I too was a paying customer.

Sometimes I consoled myself that one day I would pay for the Metro. But later, always later. After all, I said to myself, what’s the harm in a little vice now and then? Some people swipe sugar cubes at diners; I steal swipes at the train station. I called it a private amusement. Soon, I began to approach all sorts of little things with this kind of Huck Finn logic. I found myself nicking coffee cups, beer glasses, and bread plates from restaurants. I took old street signs, defunct newsstands, unused office furniture. Of course, I never took anything of much value. That would be real theft, or so I told myself.

I could go on in this vein for many more paragraphs, analyzing my motivations and self-justifications in Nicholson Baker–like detail. But I fear that would be tedious, since the outline of this story is already familiar to most people. What had begun as a series of arbitrary adolescent decisions hardened into habit, and habit, as they say, becomes character. I don’t know how corrupt I became—I certainly never evaded taxes or anything of that nature—but when I look back on those years, I detect something flippant, an offhand lack of respect for other people, the law, my home city. I don’t like it. I suppose it could have developed into something more ugly, but it would be almost as bad if I lived the rest of my life in the manner I’ve just described.

The real tragedy of little criminals is that they remain just that: tiny, grubby.

What eventually shook me from this pattern of behavior was no decision that I made on my own, but rather a piece of stunt journalism done by the print editor of this magazine. (Let it never be said that The American Conservative doesn’t get results.) It wasn’t the logic of the thing that convinced me—logic never does—but the tone. For the first time, I saw that there were perhaps thousands of other people in Washington, D.C. who thought the same way that I did, making lame personal exemptions. They sounded so selfish, so much like myself.

No wonder the Metro is such a mess. A functioning system can handle a few rulebreakers, but when everyone is making excuses for themselves, standards everywhere fall.

That said, I don’t think cracking down on fare evasion is going to fix the Metro. I don’t know what will. The system has complex, fundamental problems that have less to do with people not paying for it and more to do with the fact that people don’t ride it at all. And I admit that I fit into both categories. For years I helped degrade the Metro, and then, like seemingly everyone else, I ditched it. The few times that I ride it nowadays, I do pay for it. It’s the least—maybe the only thing—I can do.

Netanyahu Is Trying to Drag the U.S. Into War With Iran

Netanyahu Is Trying to Drag the U.S. Into War With Iran

And it looks as if Biden might let him.

There is a line from the immortal anti-war poem i sing of Olaf glad and big, in which the protagonist, Olaf, a World War I–era conscientious objector who eventually dies in prison at the hands of the state, declares, “There is some sh*t I will not eat.”

The basic problem we confront in the Middle East today is that when it comes from Benjamin Netanyahu, there is nothing Joe Biden will not eat.

Biden has been the object of Bibi’s bullying for years. Netanyahu delighted in humiliating then–Vice President Biden on the latter’s trip to Israel in 2010, announcing on the day of his arrival a massive expansion of “settlements” in east Jerusalem. At some point, one would think, it would become a question of self-respect, of manhood—for Biden to stand up to Netanyahu.

But no.

Yet Biden is hardly alone among the American political and media class who assume the prone position when the Israeli Duce saunters into the room. Of course, there was a time when American officials like Secretary of State James A. Baker were comfortable telling Bibi where to go. Even Bill Clinton, who slobbered over the Israel lobby, found Netanyahu so obnoxious that he reportedly snapped, “Who’s the f*cking superpower here?”

But that is long in the past. Both the lobby and the Israeli government have long known that ol’ Joe marches in time to the tune they call. At a fundraiser at a D.C. hotel in December, Biden told his donors, “We’re not going to do a damn thing other than protect Israel in the process. Not a single thing.”

He’s been as good as his word. Biden’s response to Netanyahu’s savagery has been to grant Israel carte blanche—in addition to what has been described as “unprecedented” intelligence sharing and diplomatic cover, Biden has approved more than 100 arms sales to the Israeli regime since October 7th, including, according to a report in the Times of Israel, “thousands of precision-guided munitions, small-diameter bombs and other weapons.” Last month, the administration shipped over 1,800 2,000-pound MK84 bombs and 500 500-pound MK82 bombs to the Israelis. The former have, according to a Washington Post report, “been linked to previous mass-casualty events throughout Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.” To give a sense of proportionality, consider that the US dropped a total of one 2,000 pound bomb during its campaign against ISIS. Israel has dropped hundreds on Gaza. Meanwhile, Biden is currently lobbying Congress for an $18 billion arms transfer that would send dozens of F-15 fighter jets to Israel.

Having destroyed the open-air prison that was Gaza (though without, it should be pointed out, doing much in the way of degrading Hamas) Netanyahu has set his sights on bigger things. What Bibi now wants is to provoke a wider war in order to bring the U.S. in and place American power in the service of his long-held dream of striking Iran.

On April 1st, he took steps to make the dream a reality when Israel bombed an Iranian embassy compound in Damascus that killed two Iranian generals and five officers. Former CIA analyst Paul Pillar has written that “hitting the embassy compound constituted a direct attack on Iran.”

An unprovoked attack on a diplomatic compound is a flagrant violation of international laws and norms, but when has that ever counted for anything among the Israeli (and American) governing elite?

That attack was understandably overshadowed here by the senseless, obscene slaughter of seven aid workers from World Central Kitchen that very same day. But of the two, it was the attack on the Iranian diplomatic compound that may have the more serious strategic ramifications—depending on whether Iran responds in kind, and how.

The Syrian compound strike was clearly carried out with the goal of dragging Washington into a war the IDF could never hope to win on its own, barring the use of nuclear weapons—of which Israel has hundreds thanks to its spies pilfering the technology from the U.S.

The state of play then: Biden’s own USAID administrator, Samantha Power, just admitted that famine has broken out in Gaza. The IDF has slaughtered over 33,000 thousand civilians, including over 25,000 women and children, while barely making a dent against Hamas. But the last point matters little because the war was always about ethnically cleansing the Gaza Strip. And once that goal is in the rearview, Bibi’s war aims will transform and become about Iran and its proxy, Hezbollah. As it happens, this is a war that Netanyahu and his neoconservative supporters have been thirsting over for many years. And worryingly, given his comments last week in which he pledged “ironclad” support for Israel, Biden seems game.

But there remains one wrinkle in the plan thus far: As of this writing, Iran has refused to take the bait. The question is whether the Iranian leadership can hold off demands from the Iranian people for revenge. Perhaps they can. But what is almost certain is that if Iran does attack Israel (as Netanyahu so dearly wants), Biden will run to Bibi’s rescue and needlessly sacrifice American blood and treasure to salvage the honor of Netanyahu’s maniac regime.

Senate Democrats Pushing Bailout for Theater Companies – Would Benefit Company That Portrayed Trump as Murdered Julius Caesar

Democrats in the Senate are pushing a multi-billion dollar bailout for struggling theater companies across the country and one of the companies that would benefit is New York’s Public Theater which staged a production of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar in 2017 that portrayed the central character as Trump. The play features the assassination of the title character.

Many of these companies are struggling because they and their supporters embraced the harshest Covid policies. They also alienated many former supporters by going fully woke.

In other words, many of these companies deserve to fail and will do so in time, whether they get a bailout now or not.

Breitbart News reports:

Failing Theaters Would Receive $5 Billion Taxpayer-Funded Bailout under Democrat Plan

Non-profit theater companies across the country would receive a $5 billion taxpayer-funded bailout under a new plan being promoted by a group of Democrats in the Senate. The proposed bailout comes as prominent stages are facing unprecedented financial crises following their embrace of woke identity politics, which has alienated audiences and donors.

Among the companies poised to receive the new federal dollars would be New York’s Public Theater, which staged the gruesome stabbing death of President Donald Trump in its infamous 2017 production of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar.

Sen. Peter Welch (D-VT) is leading the way with the legislation, which is called the Supporting Theater and the Arts to Galvanize the Economy (STAGE) Act of 2024….

New York’s Public Theater, which recently laid off nearly 20 percent of its staff, staged the assassination of President Donald Trump in its 2017 Central Park production of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. The staging shocked many audience members and led to the cancellation of some corporate sponsorships, including Bank of America and Delta.

Professional non-profit theaters and artists that support millions of jobs and boost local economies.

This bill is probably going nowhere. It’s difficult to imagine a single Republican who would back it.

REMINDER: The Biden Administration Granted Iran Billions in New Sanctions Relief Just One Month Ago

Tonight, as Iran launches attacks on Israel, it is important to remember that exactly one month ago the Biden administration granted new sanctions relief to Iran that gave the country access to billions.

The move was criticized by Republicans and downplayed by Democrats and the liberal media.

It’s just another reminder that Biden has a habit of making the exact wrong decision on foreign policy every single time.

FOX News reported in March:

US frees up billions in sanctions relief to Iran as Tehran proxies wreak havoc in region

White House national security advisor John Kirby on Friday said the funds from a sanction waiver extended this week by the Biden administration to permit Iraq to purchase energy from Iran will not go to its “mullahs.”

“None of this money goes to the mullahs. None of this money goes into Tehran. The sanctions relief that is provided actually goes to vendors that provide humanitarian assistance to the Iranian people,” he told Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, during a Friday press briefing. “Not only do the Iraqi people not suffer because of this, the Iranian people aren’t going to suffer because of this.”

“That allows for Iraq to be able to work its way off of Iranian energy so that they can keep the lights on,” Kirby said.

The Biden administration on Thursday came under criticism after it again extended a sanction waiver despite repeated pushback from those concerned that Iran could misuse the funds.

This is all connected.

Donald Trump had Iran broke.

Joe Biden gave the Iran Regime hundreds of billions of dollars in sanctions relief, credit and cash.

Iran is now attacking Israel with Joe Biden’s money.

— Richard Grenell (@RichardGrenell) April 13, 2024

Let’s not forget Joe Biden signed off on a sanction’s waiver giving Iran access to $10 billion in cold hard cash in foreign banks. He signed off on the waiver on March 13, a full 6 weeks after an Iranian-backed drone attack killed 3 American soldiers.

Biden is a disaster on foreign policy. People tried to warn about it and now here we are.

President Trump Tears Apart Joe Biden After Iran Launches Horrific Terrorist Attack on Israel

The latest Harris poll shows Donald Trump winning over 14% of Democrat voters.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Iran has officially launched kamikaze drones and missiles against Israel, a development that could spark an all-out war and draw in more countries.

As TGP readers know, Joe Biden’s appeasement of Iran and hostility toward Israel helped lead to this moment.

While Biden did cut his undeserved vacation short,, he decided NOT to speak to America tonight on the developing war.

Like the coward he is, Biden called a LID.

#BREAKING: The White House has called a press lid just before 5:13 PM today, indicating that President Biden will not be seen or heard from for the rest of the day making no statements tonight.

— R A W S A L E R T S (@rawsalerts) April 13, 2024

Trump responded by tearing apart Joe Biden this evening. He first pointed out that this attack would never have happened had he been president, a clear knock on Biden’s weak leadership.

He then mocked Biden for an alleged plan to release a taped speech instead of going live. Biden’s handlers were clearly afraid that he would humiliate himself in fornt of millions again.

Biden, on Israel, didn’t do his “Address to the People” LIVE. He taped it. This is no time for taped speeches!!!

After learning Biden would not be speaking at all, Trump claimed victory. He said this was because they got spooked by what he posted on Truth Social

AFTER READING MY TRUTH, BIDEN’S HANDLERS CONVINCED HIM NOT TO RELEASE HIS TAPED SPEECH ON ISRAEL. HE’LL NOW ATTEMPT TO DO IT LIVE, PROBABLY TOMORROW. HE DOESN’T WANT TO LEAVE HIS HOUSE, WITH THE CORVETTE, IN DELAWARE!!!

He closed by crowing about Biden returning to the White House tonight instead of tomorrow.
