Harrison Butker Stands Firm on His Faith in First Appearance Amid Leftist Backlash: ‘Never Be Afraid to Speak Out for Truth’ (VIDEO)

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker affirmed his commitment to his Catholic faith at the Courage Under Fire gala on Friday, despite facing a barrage of liberal criticism following his recent commencement speech.

Butker is a devout Catholic. He is married to his high school sweetheart and was blessed with three children.

Addressing a packed hall in Nashville, Butker, who also serves on the board of Regina Chaley Academy (RCA), was not just there to raise funds but to boldly proclaim his stance in a society he views as increasingly hostile to traditional values.

“If it wasn’t clear that the timeless Catholic values are hated by many, it is now,” Butker declared, referencing the intense backlash he has received.

“Over the past few days, my beliefs or what people think I believe have been the focus of countless discussions around the globe. At the outset, many people expressed a shocking level of hate. But as the days went on, even those who disagreed with my viewpoints shared their support for my freedom of religion.”

“In my seven years in the NFL, I’ve become familiar with the positive and negative comments, but the majority of them revolve around my performance on the field. But as to be expected, the more I’ve talked, about what I value most, which is my Catholic faith, the more polarizing I have become. It’s a decision I’ve consciously made and one I do not regret at all.”

Butker’s remarks at the gala were both a reflection on personal experiences and a call to action. He emphasized the importance of standing firm in one’s beliefs despite societal pushback.

“Our love for Jesus, and thus our desire to speak out, should never be outweighed by the longing of our fallen nature to be loved by the world. Glorifying God and not ourselves should always remain our motivation despite any pushback or even support,”  the three-time Super Bowl Champion placekicker said.

As Butker concluded his address, he left the audience with a powerful reminder of the historical challenges faced by Christians and the importance of resilience in upholding one’s beliefs.

“For if heaven is our goal, we should embrace our cross, however large or small it may be, and live our life with joy to be a bold witness for Christ,” he proclaimed.

“My hope is that tonight’s theme in RCA’s mission will embolden others, that many more will be unapologetic of their Catholic faith and never be afraid to speak out for truth, even when it goes against the loudest voices. In the end, being courageous starts with the small things. Being disliked and mischaracterized by some is nothing compared to finding yourself in a lion’s den,” he concluded.

Earlier this month, Kansas City Chief’s kicker Harrison Butker came under fire for a commencement speech he gave at the Benedictine College.  The speech encouraged the graduates, especially women, to start a family and raise kids, mirroring his 2023 speech, where he said:

“In the end— no matter how much money you attain— none of it will matter if you are alone and devoid of purpose… I can offer one controversial antidote that I believe will have a lasting impact for generations to come: GET MARRIED AND START A FAMILY.”

Clips of the 2024 commencement speech went viral after Butker told the women present that they’ve “had the most diabolical lies told to [them].”  He then asked:

“How many of you are sitting here now, about to cross the stage, and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you’re going to get in your career?

Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.

I can tell you that my beautiful wife Isabel, would be the first to say that her life truly started when she began living her vocation as a wife and as a mother.  I’m on this stage enabled to be the man I am because I have a wife who leans into her vocation.

I’m beyond blessed with the many talents God has given me, but it cannot be overstated that all of my success is made possible because a girl I met in band class back in middle-school would convert to the faith, become my wife, and embrace one of the most important titles of all: homemaker.”

While several social media posts excoriated the Chiefs’ kicker for daring to make such a Christian statement at a Catholic college, his jersey skyrocketed to the top-selling jersey for the Chiefs following the event. A kicker beat out Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

Disillusioned and Defiant: Inside the Minds of Former Republicans Who Voted for Biden in 2020

As the dust settled on the highly contentious 2020 US Presidential election, a surprising trend emerged – a significant number of lifelong Republicans had broken ranks and cast their vote for Democratic candidate Joe Biden. This unexpected turn of events sparked a wave of anger and disappointment among die-hard Trump supporters, who saw it as a betrayal of party loyalty. But what prompted these anti-Trump Republicans to switch sides? And what does it say about the state of the GOP?

For many of these former Republicans, the decision to vote for Biden was not an easy one. After all, they had spent years, even decades, proudly supporting their party and its conservative values. But as the Trump presidency unfolded, they found themselves increasingly at odds with the direction the party was taking. The divisiveness and toxic rhetoric of the Trump administration left a sour taste in their mouths and pushed them away from the party they once called home.

“That allegation is false, and it is extremely dangerous.” pic.twitter.com/Mp10lrK0e3

— Republican Voters Against Trump (@AccountableGOP) May 23, 2024

One of the main factors that led these anti-Trump Republicans to vote for Biden was their belief that he was the more qualified and competent candidate. Despite their disagreements with his policies, they saw him as a steady and experienced leader who could bring much-needed stability and unity to a country torn apart by political division. As one former Republican put it, “I may not agree with everything Biden stands for, but I trust him to lead with dignity and respect for all Americans.”

But it wasn’t just about the candidate – it was also about the character. Many of these former Republicans were appalled by Trump’s behavior and rhetoric, which they saw as unbecoming of a President. From his inflammatory tweets to his constant attacks on the media and political opponents, they felt that Trump had damaged the integrity and credibility of the office. As one former Republican voter stated, “I just couldn’t bring myself to vote for someone who lacks basic decency and respect for others.”

— Wake Up America (@_wake_up_USA) May 18, 2024

Another driving force behind these former Republicans’ decision to vote for Biden was their dissatisfaction with the direction of the Republican Party. They saw Trump’s rise to power as a departure from the party’s core values of fiscal responsibility, limited government, and individual freedom. Instead, they felt that the party had become synonymous with Trump and his divisive rhetoric, leaving little room for differing opinions. For these voters, casting a ballot for Biden was a way to send a message to the GOP that they were no longer on board with its current trajectory.

Of course, not all former Republicans who voted for Biden were motivated solely by their opposition to Trump. For some, it was a matter of choosing the lesser of two evils. While they may not have agreed with all of Biden’s policies, they saw him as a more palatable option compared to Trump. This sentiment was echoed by many former Republicans who were particularly concerned about Trump’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and his denial of its severity.

In the aftermath of the election, the GOP was left reeling from the loss of these former members. Some saw it as a wake-up call for the party to re-evaluate its stance and reconnect with its traditional values. Others, however, remained steadfast in their support for Trump and viewed the defection of these anti-Trump Republicans as a betrayal. But regardless of the reactions, one thing was clear – the 2020 election had highlighted deep divisions within the Republican party, and the repercussions of this rift are yet to be seen.

In the end, the decision to vote for Biden was a difficult and deeply personal one for these former Republicans. But whether it was driven by a sense of duty to country, disillusionment with the party, or a combination of both, it marks a significant shift in the political landscape. Only time will tell if these anti-Trump Republicans will return to the

Leo Hohmann: NATO Has Become the Military Wing of a Globalist Power Structure That Promotes the Self-Destruction of All Nations and a Depopulated World

This article originally appeared on Leo Hohmann’s Substack and was republished with permission.

One of NATO’s primary missions is to spread instability throughout the world, using the military-industrial complex to bully and intimidate countries non-compliant with a militant anti-family anti-God agenda flowing out of Western capitals and promoted by Western media.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg asserted on Friday the alliance’s commitment to defending the rights of LGBTQ individuals, aligning with numerous Western officials, institutions, and organizations in commemorating the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia.

Author Jose Nino summed it up nicely in a piece for Big League Politics:

“The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is committed to spreading degenerate values abroad.  With Russia seemingly making major gains against NATO-backed Ukrainian forces in Eastern Ukraine, NATO leaders have been engaging in bizarre virtue signaling to divert attention away from the abject failure of this proxy war against Russia.

“Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 24, 2022, NATO Secretary Jens Stoltenberg has been particularly vocal about NATO’s values and why it’s an institution that has to be trusted despite its long track record of causing instability abroad — from Serbia all the way to Libya.”

On Friday, May 17, Stoltenberg, reaffirmed NATO’s commitment to LGBTQ+ values by arrogantly proclaiming in a post to X the current Western value system and what it is based upon:

#NATO exists to defend 32 nations, and our peoples’ right to live freely & in peace. On the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia & Transphobia, and every day: all love is equal. LGBTQ+ people deserve respect & dignity, and I am proud to call myself your ally. #IDAHOBIT

— Jens Stoltenberg (@jensstoltenberg) May 17, 2024

Nino reminds us of why NATO was founded in the first place, in the wake of World War II in 1949. It was to counter the Soviet Union’s influence on the European continent.

“However, since the collapse of the Soviet Union, NATO has worked to remake the world in America’s increasingly dysfunctional image. Its interventions in the Balkans all the way to Libya have brought nothing but harm and instability.”

NATO is no longer seen by most nations of the world as a defensive alliance.

NATO launched offensive wars against Yugoslavia in 1999 and Libya in 2011, as well as its protracted occupation of Afghanistan, leaving the country no freer and no better off in 2021 than when it was invaded 20 years prior, but rather much more dangerous with billions of U.S. and Western military weapons in the hands of the Taliban terrorists.

But even more destructive is the fact that NATO teams up with an army of neo-Marxist and Cultural Marxist nonprofits to promote values antithetical to those found in the Bible, including gay “marriage,” abortion on demand up to birth, and children being able to choose their own gender, along with the whole idea of gender as a social construct meant to “oppress” the sexual deviants and mentally confused. Why do they promote ideas so destructive of society? Because they know no nation can survive for long without moral restraints and some sort of devotion to a higher authority above that of carnal man.

Nino adds:

“In effect, any country that gets in bed with NATO catches the STD of multiculturalism, sexual degeneracy, and societal decay. More importantly, NATO is an entangling military alliance with a crusading ideology that is a threat to world peace. “

No nation can survive without strong men. Transgendered females (biological men who pretend to be women) running around in skirts do not tend to make good military officers, but that’s exactly the type of behavior that is now being promoted and encouraged by the military forces of the U.S., Europe, Australia, Canada and Israel. This group of nations will all suffer catastrophic defeats at the hands of Russia and China if they continue with their plans to poke the bear and create a World War III scenario while at the same time indulging the lowest form of human behavior.

At the heart of this Western globalist agenda lies a demonic attempt to depopulate the world in accordance with the principles laid out in the Georgia Guidestones and other globalist screeds. Because everyone knows that gay marriages don’t produce children. Emasculated, mutilated and transgendered young people don’t reproduce, either.

Any nation that is truly free and independent should immediately exit this military alliance and even non-members should totally free themselves from NATO’s Luciferian psychological clutches. Because NATO’s psychopathic leaders base their speech and their actions on moral alchemy, warmongering and a Satanic lust for power over the free minds of people everywhere.

House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries Threatens ‘MAGA Extremists’ on Supreme Court, Warns Congress Must Get Them ‘Under Control’ (VIDEO)

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has launched a scathing attack against the originalist judges on the Supreme Court, describing them as “MAGA extremists” who need to be reigned in by Congress.

In an appearance on MSNBC’s Deadline, Jeffries warned that the Court must be controlled with a “legislative effort to implement an ethical code of conduct.”

He explained:

This is part of the challenge that we confront with the runaway Supreme Court that appears to want to conduct itself as if the Judiciary is above the law. For years, members of Congress in both the House and the Senate have indicated that it’s time for the Supreme Court to have an ethical code of conduct that is enforceable.”

Last year, Chief Justice Roberts did implement a code of conduct, but it appears to be voluntary and is being ignored. And so, as a result of that, the first opportunity that we have in the Congress, I believe we need to have a real conversation about a legislative effort to implement an ethical code of conduct on the Supreme Court that is enforceable. They are the only branch of government currently that can operate with impunity.

Congress has an ethical code of conduct enforceable under law. The executive branch has an ethical code of conduct enforceable under law. We’ve got to get the MAGA extremists on the Supreme Court under control.

His comments come as Democrats continue to freak out about Justice Samuel Alito after he reportedly flew an upside-down American flag at his Alexandria, Virginia, home in protest of the widespread voter fraud that took place during the 2020 presidential election.

In a statement to the far-left New York Times, Alito said that he had no involvement in the flying of the flag. “I had no involvement whatsoever in the flying of the flag,” Alito told the Times. “It was briefly placed by Mrs. Alito in response to a neighbor’s use of objectionable and personally insulting language on yard signs.”

According to Fox News anchor Shannon Bream, Alito’s nasty leftist neighbor also called his wife a “c*nt.”

“I spoke directly with Justice Alito about the flag story in the NYT,” she said. “In addition to what’s in the story, he told me a neighbor on their street had an “F— Trump” sign that was within 50 feet of where children await the school bus in Jan 21. Mrs. Alito brought this up with the neighbor.”

Since Biden seized power in January 2021, the Supreme Court has blocked vast swathes of his agenda, including his planned nationwide vaccine mandate.

As a result, Democrats have made no secret of their plan to expand and pack the court if they have the votes to do so. Just last year, a group of Democratic lawmakers introduced a bill seeking to expand the court from 9 to 13 justices with a view to overturning the current conservative majority.

The Core of Trump’s Speech in the Bronx is the Unity the Country Needs: Color Doesn’t Matter, ‘We Are All Americans and We’re Going to Pull Together as Americans’ (VIDEO)

Trump’s speech and rally in the Bronx truly feels like a turning point for the country. He brought a message of unity that is craved by millions of people across America.

Joe Biden was sold by Democrats and the media as a unifying figure, yet he has done nothing but divide and stoke resentment.

Trump told the crowd in the Bronx that color doesn’t matter because we are all Americans.

Larry Kudlow of the FOX Business Network commented:

Donald Trump’s Bronx speech was powerful

Donald Trump’s powerful speech last night in the Bronx was a message to Americans of all colors and that’s the subject of the riff. Donald Trump spoke to a crowd of ten or twenty thousand people last night at Crotona Park in the South Bronx.

Here’s the key point: they were primarily People of Color. A most unusual Republican rally, in a most unusual place, with a most unusual crowd for a Republican rally in a most unusual place. Take a listen to what Donald Trump said about this unusual story:

DONALD TRUMP: “It doesn’t matter whether you’re Black, or Brown, or White or whatever the hell color you are, it doesn’t matter. We are all Americans and we’re going to pull together as Americans.”

Right there, that is the sociology about that crowd and it is a shot across the bow of Joe Biden and the Democratic Party nationwide. New York Governor Kathy Hochul is one of the very many Democrats who don’t understand what’s going on in Trump world. She said Donald Trump is inviting “all his clowns to a place like the Bronx.” Hochul’s one of many Democrats who don’t understand the Trump coalition of working folks of all colors that is busting up the traditional Democratic Party.

This was the moment. Watch:

To Fix the FBI, Abolish It

To Fix the FBI, Abolish It

A new study of the national security apparatus finds the existing Bureau incompatible with republican government.

Big Intel: How the CIA and FBI Went from Cold War Heroes to Deep State Villains, by J. Michael Waller, Regnery, 256 pages

Your perspective on the FBI depends a lot on when you grew up. If you are a reader of The American Conservative today and old enough to remember the classic television series The FBI starring the memorable actor Efrem Zimbalist Jr., you almost certainly still hold, somewhere hidden deep inside, a positive image of J. Edgar Hoover and the bureau.

The 1965–74 TV series was one of Hoover’s most brilliant PR successes. It burnished the FBI’s reputation in turbulent times, putting the bureau squarely on the side of millions of law-and-order Americans (many of us kids), who believed, rightly, that many radicals of that era were at war with our country.

As violent political insurgency and thousands of random bombings rocked the nation, we were reassured that a professional and patriotic FBI, personified by Zimbalist, was out there working the cases. It was always only a question of time, we believed, before Hoover’s G-men nailed dangerous radicals like the notorious Weather Underground, who planted bombs in public buildings, and the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA), who could ruthlessly kidnap prominent citizens like Patty Hearst.

We had no way of anticipating that the FBI’s failure to close down these violent radicals shrouded an even greater weakness: the bureau’s inability to protect American institutions from the Fabian revolutionaries who were subverting them from inside.

In an open society, it is a classically difficult mission for any undercover police or counter-intelligence service to counter a dedicated, home-grown enemy. The Weimar republic famously failed to prevent a repackaged Hitler from emerging as a “democrat.” In The Open Society and Its Enemies, Karl Popper should have added a chapter on the deviousness of Weathermen Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, who papered over their Marxist–Leninist past to reappear as counselors to a young politician named Barack Obama.

In his ambitious new book Big Intel, J. Michael Waller takes on these large questions, examining the historic performance of U.S. federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies, most significantly the FBI and CIA, in battling the subtle forces that have for decades eaten away at the country’s institutions and traditional values.

Waller’s central thesis—no surprise—is that the subversives won out. The book argues that the revolutionary left not only outlasted the FBI and CIA, but ultimately unleashed the same destructive ideology inside the federal security agencies themselves. Big Intel is the disturbing story of how Marxist-inspired “critical theory” turned Zimbalist’s noble G-man into the infamous Peter Strzok.

Waller knows his stuff. He is not only an academic with more than 40 years examining intelligence matters, but he also dabbled in espionage tradecraft himself back in the early 1980s Central America wars. The author argues that today’s problems inside the FBI and CIA are more fundamental than these agencies have become highly politicized. He believes the left has succeeded in remaking the core professional values that motivate today’s career FBI agents, CIA case officers, and the analysts who support their work.

Waller argues that critical theory priorities, such as embracing identity politics and social justice activism, have remade the “institutional culture” in the national security agencies. Reshaped by their university experiences and today’s prevailing norms, today’s young FBI agent and CIA officer are self-absorbed and disinclined to sacrifice for their country. Their idea of patriotism is to think globally and fight climate change. Their sworn oath to the Constitution is about protecting the government from conservatives who challenge a woke agenda.

A skeptic might accuse Waller of having interviewed too many grumpy old federal agents with nostalgia for the higher standards of a bygone era. But the argument of Big Intel is that America’s enemies intentionally sowed, a century ago, the seeds of Marxist-inspired critical theory radicalism in universities and influential intellectual circles in America and Europe. It was a long-term strategy of subversion. Waller writes:

Marxism’s permanent warfare would ravage the [West’s] culture, starting with education and family and spreading through the arts, deeply held religious beliefs and values, ethnicity, sexuality, patriotism, and law. We can trace the rise of cultural Marxism from its beginnings in early Soviet Russia, through interwar Germany, during World War II when it first penetrated American foreign intelligence, through the Cold War when the FBI led the country against such subversion, right up to the present when the CIA and then the FBI embraced it, wrapped it in lovely packaging called diversity, equity, and inclusion, and placed it at the core of their missions. The term “cultural Marxism” was too inflammatory to use in government and always denied. But the agencies internalized the train of thought to induce people to think and behave as cultural Marxists, usually without even realizing it. That intellectual construct or thought process is called critical theory.

Waller makes his case by examining the history of the FBI and the CIA, starting with Langley’s Second World War predecessor, the Office of Strategic Services (OSS). These compelling historical narratives alone make the book worth the read.

Before the 20th century, Washington had no significant federal law enforcement or civilian intelligence service. As foreign threats emerged, presidents turned to the Department of Justice, which responded with a hybrid of federal police and proto-intelligence activities. One early milestone was the 1919–20 Palmer Raids, carried out against revolutionary foreign radicals who were a genuine peril. Washington’s handling of the raids would set a pattern: federal authorities overreaching in a necessary crackdown, while rounding up many innocents.

The key DOJ official to emerge in this early period is, of course, a young John Edgar Hoover, who would stay on to run the FBI an incredible 48 years. The fact that, in such an ad hoc manner, a security service developed and would keep the same man in charge for almost half a century indicated the difficulty for Washington policymakers of finding the formula for running a professional and non-political federal police. That challenge is still largely unmet today.

Nevertheless, Big Intel provides an even-handed assessment of the controversial Hoover, who today is routinely vilified by liberal historians and rarely defended by modern conservatives. No apologist for the FBI director, the author still makes a convincing case that, on balance over his (too) long career, Hoover undertook a professional approach that realistically perceived the sub rosa dangers America faced. Today, it is hard to assert that Hoover did more good than harm, but there is a case to be made.

The author writes,

[Hoover] was right in identifying the institutional, individual, and ideological drivers of destructive change in America. He fairly predicted the social trends at work to fundamentally transform the country. History may have reviled him. So has the FBI itself. But the twenty-first-century FBI, as with the CIA, became a greater threat to the constitutional system and American society than the surprisingly restrained Hoover ever could have been.

Waller contrasts the record of the FBI and Hoover with that of the OSS, the CIA’s forerunner, and its director “Wild Bill” Donovan. For the author, Donovan represents the dominant liberal forces in the American establishment that crucially overlooked or downplayed the cultural Marxist threat.

Waller argues that the OSS, and later the CIA, would never fully comprehend the subtle, termite-like ideological dangers loose in American society. While Langley would go on to play an important role, perhaps even a crucial one, in countering Soviet political power and conventional espionage, the CIA never grappled, according to the author, with the forces of cultural Marxism, the more subtle enemies of open American society.

The book devotes considerable space to the Institute for Social Research, examining its role in nurturing and spreading cultural Marxism in Europe and America. Launched in 1923 by the Comintern in Frankfurt, Germany, the institute was, as Dr. Waller clearly documents, a Soviet-funded influence project. Today, commonly remembered as the Frankfurt School, the institute’s Marxist academics would escape Nazi Germany and establish themselves in the United States, several ending up in Donovan’s OSS.

The Frankfurt School became a phenomenally successful Soviet intelligence operation with much more long-term significance than, say, Moscow’s espionage networks in Western countries. The Frankfurt School’s academic Marxists, like Franz Neumann, Otto Kirchheimer, and Herbert Marcuse, not only served in the OSS, but more importantly were crucial in advancing critical theory into the modern university mainstream.

Particularly influential, Herbert Marcuse (1898–1979) motivated a generation of university students who went revolutionary en masse in the 1960s, giving us everything from Tom Hayden’s New Left to terrorists like the Weather Underground and Germany’s Baader–Meinhof fanatics. Marcuse and his colleagues were so successful that the tens of thousands of intellectual Marxists on American and European universities became, decades ago, the dominant intellectual force in Western social sciences. The FBI could root out deep-cover Soviet agents like Alger Hiss, but proved useless against Marcuse and his Marxist academics.

Big Intel is not just about how things went wrong. The author does suggest ways to fight back, starting by disbanding today’s FBI. Waller argues that a domestic intelligence service like the FBI that also exercises federal police powers is “incompatible with our constitutional form of government.” In point of fact, the bureau was never established in U.S. law by an act of Congress. It was created by bureaucratic legerdemain: a one-page DOJ memo from the year 1908.

“Since the FBI,” Waller writes, “was founded with a short memo by an attorney general, it can be dissolved with a short memo from a future attorney general.” The author recommends as a first step transferring and dividing the FBI’s functions to other, already existing, national security and law enforcement federal agencies. Waller writes: “[The FBI] has serially abused its authority and the public trust. It has become too politicized to function legally. It is a rogue organization that resists congressional oversight. And it is populating itself with a new, politicized cadre who will make tomorrow’s FBI far worse.”

Indeed, conservatives of all stripes must admit our memory of the patriotic and professional FBI agent is never coming back; some may even argue that he never even existed, but I would join Waller in demurring on that. In any event, our national challenge today is to keep the very real, flesh and blood, Peter Strzok and his ilk out of federal service. It is time for the FBI to go the way of the OSS.

When It Comes to Manufacturing, It’s Us or Them

When It Comes to Manufacturing, It’s Us or Them

This election cycle may provide the last chance to prevent a permanent eclipse of American industrial power.

(JIM YOUNG/AFP via Getty Images)

I grew up in western Illinois and saw firsthand what happens when unfair trade and financialization runs amok. Communities that were once thriving are now struggling. Major employers that once put entire small towns to work simply got up and left—to Mexico, to China, to anywhere but here at home.

Make no mistake about it: America has been gutted by our elite class, and now these wizards want to sell it for parts to the highest bidder.

U.S. Steel, a symbol of our past industrial unassailability, is in the process of being sold to a Japanese steelmaker. The irony here should not be lost on us—a company from a country that American industry helped rebuild after the Second World War is now commandeering an American industrial icon. This example is just one chapter of a larger story of a nation in decline. We must change course immediately or resign ourselves to this kind of national humiliation for generations to come.

And unfortunately, this national decline isn’t being felt in equal measure. The stock market is at an all-time high, and things are going great for sporty financiers, wearing only the finest Patagonia vests and raking it in. But working class folks are going through a tremendous amount of economic pain right now. They know they’re being dealt a bad hand, and they’re sick and tired of being gaslit about it. The offshoring of foundational U.S. manufacturing capability underscores how our communities are being hollowed out, and how our ruling class is letting it happen by allowing foreign countries to undercut American workers and dump their cheap and often dirty products on our shores.

Sadly, manufacturing jobs have been in decline for years, but with President Trump’s election in 2016, we saw an actual effort to stop—and reverse—that trend. He saw how our industries were getting a raw deal, and how nobody was fighting for them. Trumpist conservatives have long pointed to the obvious necessity of a robust domestic industry, independent from foreign supply chains, for our national security as well.

But ultimately, we will need to go even further with the Trump trade strategy to finish the job and at last deliver a victory for working class America.

One of the clearest ways foreign companies sabotage our domestic industry is by cutting corners on labor standards and paying slave wages to their workers. This provides them with a major competitive advantage in the market, even if it’s an advantage earned unethically. We refuse to compromise on the dignity and prosperity of our workforce, and the first step should be to stop the importation of cheap labor by securing the border.

To boost competitiveness, we should look to the Trump administration’s landmark USMCA, which set a precedent establishing stringent labor rules for any nation desiring access to the world’s most lucrative market: ours. This principle must be extended beyond North America, serving as a non-negotiable standard for all who wish to trade with the United States.

Foreign firms also undercut us by using cheap, dirty manufacturing and energy-production practices that American companies left behind decades ago. That means they can sell to us at rock-bottom prices while absolutely wrecking the environment. Countries like China are going all-in on outdated technology to make a quick buck, and we should be punishing them for this unfair advantage—and instead rewarding the innovations in our domestic industry that are preparing us for the 21st century economy.

If we want to win on trade, we have to turn China’s advantage into a liability. One proposal, the PROVE IT Act, introduced by Senators Kevin Cramer of North Dakota and Chris Coons of Delaware, would give us the data necessary to put America first and challenge those countries pulling a fast one on pollution. Globalist Chinese Communist Party sympathizers hate this idea, which is why it’s obviously the right move.

We shouldn’t concede that America is in decline. It doesn’t have to be that way. We still retain significant economic power, and we should use it to level the playing field for American workers and families.

But let’s be honest: This may be our last chance to assert that power. Time is running out. If we don’t force our enemies to play by our rules, eventually we will be so hollowed out that we will be forced to play by theirs. By enforcing labor standards and embracing our manufacturing industry’s competitive advantage on the environment, we can hopefully reverse these trends and rebuild our once-great nation and the communities that made it great.

Trump Is Winning—But Don’t Believe the Polls

Trump Is Winning—But Don’t Believe the Polls

The data underpinning the current polling trends are unconvincing.

“From what I know, this is the first time a President has actually came to the hood,” a Bronx man, apparently in his late thirties or forties, said in an interview about Donald Trump’s Thursday rally in Crotona Park. “I know presidents has came to the Bronx before, but we’re talking ‘bout Woodlawn, Riverdale, he has came to Morrisania, south Bronx—the hood hood.”

And the hood hood seemed to come out for Trump. Reports on the size of the crowd vary widely—from five to eight to 10 to 20 thousand. Regardless of the true number, even a CNN reporter had to admit it was “certainly a bigger crowd than I think Democrats would like to see, particularly given this is one of the bluest counties in the entire country.” It’s not just a CNN reporter, either: Poll after poll suggests something strange is happening in the American electorate.

Which is not to say that a Bronx rally, or the often-teased Trump rally in Madison Square Garden, will actually bring states like New York into play come November. But in the places that matter, Trump’s lead in the polls have proven rather durable in the midst of four criminal prosecutions against the former president.

In the top seven battleground states, Trump’s lead is on average three points, according to RealClearPolitics, and has been around three points since the beginning of this year. In Arizona, Trump currently has a 4.1 point advantage in the polls. Not much has changed since January. The same can be said for North Carolina, where he has an average lead of just over 4.5 points in the polls.

In Georgia, the former president’s lead is about 4 points, which is slightly less than it was in January, but there is no clear trend that the current president is eating away at Trump’s deficit. That possibility has become increasingly unlikely now that the criminal case against Trump in Fulton County will have to wait until after the election thanks to improprieties of many sorts from District Attorney Fani Willis.

Trump’s margins in Wisconsin, after he took the polling lead there in February, also seem stable at around 1 point, plus or minus a half. It’s a good sign for the Trump team, but with margins like that, who knows what election day has in store.

In Nevada, meanwhile, Trump’s average lead in the polls since January widened, then shrunk, but has started to widen again. Real Clear Politics says Trump’s average lead is around 4.5 points in the polls. The same can be said for Michigan, where Trump’s lead is about a point.

Pennsylvania, unsurprisingly, remains the great unknown. Trump currently has about a two-point advantage over Biden, but there have been four lead changes thus far in 2024.

The recent New York Times Sienna poll, one of the polls incorporated into RealClearPolitics’ averages, had results that mostly mirrored the general trend in battleground states. Among registered voters, Trump is up in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. He’s behind by two in Wisconsin. Among likely voters, Trump is up in Wisconsin but down in Michigan.

But why start this column with a comment made by a Bronx man from the “hood”? Because, despite the consistency of these polls, the data underpinning these results suggest a tectonic shift in the American electorate and is of a piece with the sentiment on display in the south Bronx Thursday afternoon.

In the NYT/Sienna poll, for example, the underlying data that breaks down respondent’s based on age and race are downright mystifying. In a head to head matchup between Trump and Biden across the six battleground states polled, Trump leads by 3 points in the 18–29 age demographic, 8 points in the 30–44 demographic, and 14 points in the 45-64 demographic. But he’s losing by 3 among voters over 65 years old. This is almost the opposite of what happened in the 2020 election. Topline results by race aren’t surprising at first glance. Trump is up with whites, down heavily with blacks. With Hispanics, however, Trump is within spitting distance. And, with blacks, Trump is polling over twenty percent.

Poll after poll I’ve looked into this election cycle has found similar results. Trump is ahead, but because of a new coalition of voters that is younger and browner than anything America has seen in the Trump era, let alone this century. Which is why I still believe, despite this consistency, that all the polls are fake. Certainly, it’s Trump’s race to lose. But Trump, his campaign, and the GOP should campaign like the race will come down to a few thousand votes in a handful of states—because it probably will.

Black Woman From Chicago Urges Trump to do a Rally There, Says City Would Give Him a ‘Hero’s Welcome’ (VIDEO)

A black woman from Chicago named P-Rae Easely appeared on FOX News today and urged Donald Trump to hold a rally there, suggesting it would look a lot like the Bronx rally and that people in the city would come out to give him a hero’s welcome.

Anyone who has been following the news knows that many black residents of Chicago are outraged by the city’s handling of illegal immigrants, who have largely been imposed on black neighborhoods.

This woman is absolutely right. Trump should go into the heart of the Windy City and speak directly to the people.

Here’s a partial transcript:

Kayleigh McEnany: You said Trump will be greeted like a king in Chicago. Tell me about the reception for Trump should he come.

P-Rae Easely: Absolutely, we are going to show him lots of hospitality. He is the only person who has ever tried to save us from this liberal failure and chaos that’s impacting every facet of our lives and we’re gonna give him a hero’s welcome and we cannot wait until he gets here. Everybody is saying, when Trump comes we’re going to go outside to make sure that he knows that we support him.

McEnany goes on to play a clip of Biden’s hateful, divisive speech at Morehouse College last week and compares it to Trump’s unifying message in the Bronx and Easely responds by suggesting that Joe Biden is the last living Dixiecrat and that his message has always been one of division. She even calls him Jim Crow Joe.

Easely then talks about the anger in the city about the special treatment for illegal immigrants as a driving force of support for Trump.

Trump should definitely go to Chicago. Democrats would lose their minds seeing how much support he would get there.

CENSORSHIP: USA Today Newspapers Delete Column by Republican Senator John Kennedy Without Telling Him

Republican Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana recently wrote an opinion column that was critical of trans athletes and USA Today-owned newspapers deleted the piece without even notifying Kennedy.

This is reminiscent of the time in 2020 when Republican Senator Tom Cotton wrote an op-ed for the New York Times that was censored because it sent the paper’s staffers into fits of rage. Cotton had suggested using the military to control the riots in the ‘summer of love.’

Isn’t it fascinating that this censorship always seems to go in only one direction?

FOX News reported:

USA Today newspapers quietly delete GOP senator’s op-ed on trans athletes without telling him

Several Louisiana newspapers that are part of Gannett-owned USA Today’s network quietly deleted a published op-ed on transgender athletes from Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., without notifying him.

Communications reviewed by Fox News Digital showed the Republican was told his op-ed criticizing biological men playing women’s sports contained “inflammatory” speech that didn’t meet company standards.

Gannett Opinion Editor and Vice President of Standards and Ethics Michael McCarter stood by the decision to remove Kennedy’s piece.

“The opinion teams across the USA TODAY Network are focused on delivering local, timely, relevant, and diverse opinion pieces. We recognize the importance of sharing varying perspectives and the vital role we play convening conversations. Sen. John Kennedy’s submitted opinion column did not meet our ethical guidelines, which state we will treat people with respect. After further review, our editorial team removed the column from our website. Sen. Kennedy has been given the opportunity to revise his language – not his viewpoint – to adhere with our standards,” McCarter told Fox News Digital.

Kennedy commented:

“They think they are the speech police. Drunk on certainty and virtue, they think they are our moral teacher. This attitude is why so many Americans have lost confidence in the media. The media is not going to win that trust back until they return to neutrality instead of advocacy,” Kennedy said.

Apparently USA Today thinks they’re the speech police.

Do you think any newspaper in the country would dare delete a column by a senator like Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders no matter what it said?

Not a chance.
