Whistleblower Claims Race-Based Admissions Have Turned UCLA into a ‘Failed Medical School’ — Elon Musk Warns of Risking Patient Lives with Incompetent Doctors

Credit: Flicker

A whistleblower has come forward with explosive claims that race-based admissions policies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) have severely degraded the quality of its medical school, prompting a stern warning from tech mogul Elon Musk about the potential for patient deaths due to medical incompetence.

Long hailed as a premier institution, UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine has seen a precipitous drop in its standards, according to damning evidence and interviews conducted by the Washington Free Beacon.

The institution, which annually attracts up to 14,000 applicants, accepted just 173 in 2023, a record-low acceptance rate of 1.3 percent. The median matriculant took difficult science courses in college, earned a 3.8 GPA, and scored in the 88th percentile on the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT).

In November 2021, during a typical admissions committee meeting, concerns were raised about an African American applicant whose academic credentials significantly lagged behind UCLA’s stringent standards.

Elon Musk, the tech mogul known for his outspoken opinions on social issues, reacted strongly to these developments.

“People will die if doctors misdiagnose patients,” Musk tweeted.

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) May 23, 2024

Jennifer Lucero, the dean of admissions, vehemently argued that the candidate’s lower scores were inconsequential given the need for doctors who represent diverse backgrounds.

“Did you not know African-American women are dying at a higher rate than everybody else?” Lucero reportedly challenged, emphasizing the importance of diversity over traditional metrics of academic excellence.

According to sources within the university, since Lucero’s tenure began, there has been a noticeable decline in the performance of students on standardized tests essential for their medical careers.

The whistleblower pointed out that some students admitted under these revised criteria were unable to perform basic medical procedures or diagnose common conditions during their rotations. More than 50% of certain cohorts have failed their basic exams.

The whistleblower claims are supported by internal emails and performance data revealing that under Lucero’s tenure, UCLA’s ranking plummeted from 6th to 18th in U.S. News & World Report’s list for medical research.

Several admissions officials allege that race is often discussed explicitly in admissions decisions despite California’s legal bans on such practices. This has led to accusations against Lucero and her office of lowering admission standards for certain racial groups while maintaining high barriers for others.

It can be recalled that the Supreme Court ruled last year that the Harvard and UNC race-based affirmative action programs are unconstitutional. Schools nationwide will no longer be able to discriminate against students on the basis of race.

All but eight states used race-based affirmative action. The states that did have affirmative action at all prior to the ruling were California, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, Arizona, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, and Idaho

Last October, the US Supreme Court heard oral arguments in two separate cases about the consideration of race in college admissions: Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) v. University of North Carolina and Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard University.

At stake in the Harvard case was whether the university violated Title VI of the Civil Rights Act by discriminating against Asian-American applicants. The UNC case concerned the school’s unwillingness to adopt a “race-neutral alternative.”

The universities involved claimed race was one factor among many used in a while assessing student applicants and that their processes respect precedent.

The conservative group involved in the lawsuits, however, said that the colleges were engaging in reverse discrimination by using race as an admissions factor.

As reported by Fox News, one Asian American student, Jon Wong, was rejected by six elite colleges despite having a 1590 SAT score. He said this was due to affirmative action.

Ramaswamy Blasts Foreign Military Aid, Neoconservative Mindset

On Thursday, at a conference hosted jointly by The American Conservative and the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, the former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy gave a keynote address about what it means to be “America First.”

Ramaswamy emphasized that Americans ought to be confident that those who run the government have America’s best interests at heart; he said of America’s leaders, “They owe their sole moral duty to the citizens of this nation.”

But our leaders fall short of providing U.S. citizens with such security, he argued. Every time Congress intervenes by “investing” in global conflicts (he addressed Ukraine, Armenia, and Israel specifically), America is put into a more precarious position, “increasing the risk of World War III.”

In a subsequent one-on-one discussion with TAC’s Executive Director, Curt Mills, Ramaswamy stated that those who favor sending American money abroad often have financial incentives of their own: “I think they hold the views that they do in part because they are what the American system has become: An assembly line for politicians becoming products that are funded by people who write checks.”

In order to break the never-ending cycle that takes advantage of Americans, Ramaswamy suggested that, “We the people [should] put people in charge of the government that are accountable to us, who get voted out if they don’t serve us.”

TRULY THE GREATEST EVER: President Trump Rallies in New York City – Promises to Rebuild City and State – Despite Their BRUTAL COMMUNIST ATTACKS AND SMEARS on His Reputation and Life (VIDEO)

President Trump speaks to thousands of supporters in The Bronx, New York in May 2024.

President Donald Trump spoke to thousands of supporters from New York City and surrounding areas on Thursday night in the Bronx.

This was a historic rally for several reasons. No Republican has held a political rally like this in the Bronx in decades.

No Republican has held any rally in New York City of such a great size in decades.

And, of course, Democrat candidate Joe Biden could not draw a crowd one-twentieth the size in any borough. There is zero appetites for Joe Biden even in dark blue areas of the country.

What was truly amazing was when President Trump spoke about Brooklyn and New York City. President Trump was born and lived for a majority of his lifetime in New York City.

Since Trump entered politics the Marxists who dominate New York City politics have done all they could to destroy him in any way possible, with outlandish legal assaults on his character, his finances, and his real estate empire.

Even this week, President Trump is forced to sit in court and listen to lies and smears by a demonic Judge Juan Merchan and Biden Democrats about a crime that has yet to be explained or defined.

Not one of the charges against Trump bare any truth as a majority of the country understands.

On Thursday, rather than ranting against New York and its communist leaders, President Trump promised to reach out to New Your City and State leaders when he is president to help them rebuild the state.

That was a powerful moment.

President Trump is truly a great man and a man for the ages.

Hill Reacts to Rick Scott’s GOP Leadership Platform

Hill Reacts to Rick Scott’s GOP Leadership Platform

Among Senator Rick Scott’s proposed reforms, the most talked about is a six-year term limit on the conference leader.

Senator Rick Scott of Florida has thrown his hat in the ring to succeed Mitch McConnell as Senate Republican leader.

Scott joins a field of two Johns: Senator John Cornyn of Texas and Senator John Thune of South Dakota, the Senate GOP whip. Other candidates could soon join the race, too, such as Senator Steve Daines of Montana, who currently occupies Scott’s former position as chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC).

The Junior Senator from Florida announced his bid for GOP leader through a “Dear Colleague” letter that circulated around Capitol Hill on Wednesday. In the letter, obtained by The American Conservative, Scott claims that “the path our nation is going down is not sustainable.” Scott “cit[ed] the open border, the national debt, the precarious geopolitical situation abroad, inflation, American dependence on China, the drug overdose crisis, the insolvency of Social Security, and the presence of men in women’s sports,” Mason Letteau Stallings, reporting for TAC, wrote.

From Scott’s perspective, American decline has, in part, been brought about by poor Republican leadership. “Republicans all across America want the Republicans they elected to the U.S. Senate to stop caving in to Democrat demands,” Scott wrote. “This is not an unreasonable request or expectation.”

It’s time to “upend the status quo in Washington,” Scott claimed.

“It is not time to make small adjustments,” Scott continued. What’s needed is “a dramatic sea change to save our country.”

“I don’t think it was a big surprise, I mean he’s talked about it…. Everybody who wants to run is entitled to run,” Thune said of Scott entering the race, according to POLITICO’s Burgess Everett.

The GOP whip added, “I suppose everybody has a chance. I’m not going to handicap his chances.”

Nevertheless, Scott has some reforms in mind. If he becomes leader, the Florida Senator proclaimed his intent to reopen the debate and amendment process while considering legislation, which McConnell has increasingly throttled over his tenure as leader.

Scott has also proposed limiting a Senator’s tenure as GOP leader to six years.

One of his opponents, Cornyn, has also come out in favor of term limits. “One reason I am running to be the next Republican Leader is because I believe the Senate needs more engagement from all of my colleagues, and that includes the opportunity for any Member to serve in Leadership,” the Texas senator tweeted. “I will support a conference vote to change the rules and institute term limits for the Republican Leader.”

The other John in the race, John Thune, previously said he is not “averse to having that conversation. But there are a lot of things we need to think through. I don’t think we need to rush into those decisions.”

The GOP’s departing leader, the longest-serving leader in the Senate’s history, is unsurprisingly not in favor of term limits: “We have term limits now, they’re called elections,” McConnell said previously.

Senator Mike Lee of Utah told TAC, “I’m very glad that Rick Scott has pledged to observe a term limit if elected Senate GOP Leader, as has John Cornyn. I’m eager to hear if the other contenders for the position can give us a similar guarantee.”

“It’s a great development for the Senate GOP that there are multiple, competing visions for how the conference should be run,” Rachel Bovard of the Conservative Partnership Institute wrote in a text message to TAC. “Sen. Scott brings a fresh perspective on how members should be represented in leadership, and importantly, how the conference can better reflect the priorities of the voters instead of Washington DC interests.”

“I like the idea,” Vivek Ramaswamy told TAC after addressing TAC’s foreign policy conference on Capitol Hill on Thursday. “I endorsed Rick Scott as soon as I found out he was running. I think he’s by far the best of the candidates running and embodies good America first principles.”

“[Scott] can do the job,” Ramaswamy asserted. “He certainly has the capabilities, but he’s also got the right ideological commitment to serving voters as opposed to serving special interests and I think he is by far the best candidate. He has my support.”

“Term limiting the Leader is one of the most important reforms that can be made at the top,” Bovard continued. “Every position in Senate leadership is term limited except for the Leader. Extending that term limit will ensure the accountability of conference management, and give other members a chance to present a new vision every 6 years. Politics is dynamic, and the Senate GOP bench is deep. Why would you entrench one voice at the top for decades, particularly if they’re just intent on accumulating their own power base and ruling from the top down?”

“Term limiting the Leader democratizes conference leadership in a powerful way and deserves the support of every candidate in the race,” Bovard concluded.

Come January 2025, Scott predicts that Republicans will have “a mandate for dramatic change,” through the election of Donald Trump and the GOP taking back control of the Senate. A lot is riding on whether the Senate GOP decides to fulfill that mandate in the expanding Senate leadership race.

LIVE STREAM VIDEO: TRUMP LOVES NEW YORK – Speaks in The Bronx, New York City to THOUSANDS in a VERY Mixed Crowd of Supporters -120,000 Watching on RSBN

President Trump is now speaking to the 10,000 strong rally of supporters in the Bronx in New York City.

The Bronx is the bluest of all boroughs in New York City but that did not stop supporters from filling the venue.

How this all happened.

The Bronx is the bluest of New York City boroughs with a majority of Spanish voters. Biden “won” 83% of the Bronx vote back in 2020.

In December, The Gateway Pundit contributor and Newsmax reporter Cara Castronuova went down to the Bronx to take the temperature on Joe Biden.

Cara, who routinely breaks major investigations at The Gateway Pundit, was shocked with what she heard. There is huge support for President Donald Trump in the Bronx!

EVERYONE knows life was better under Trump – no matter what the media is pushing. EVERYTHING is worse under Joe Biden, and the Marxist left is destroying the country. And it’s not likely to get any better as long as they hold on to power.

Cara’s report went viral and was re-Truthed by President Trump!

Cara went back to the Bronx to ask residents if they would like Trump to hold a rally there and if he did, would they attend?  Once again, the response was OVERWHELMING – The Bronx voters WANT TRUMP!

Soros-Backed Media Matters Lays Off a Dozen Employees as Staffers Blame ‘Far-Right Billionaires’

The far-left media watchdog Media Matters for America (MMFA) is laying off around a dozen staff as the organization faces a series of federal probes and defamation lawsuits.

MMFA’s explicit goal is to try and “expose” conservative media organizations such as The Gateway Pundit and strip them of their platforms and advertising revenue.

Staffers took to the X platform on Thursday to confirm they had been let go, with one seemingly blaming Musk for her dismissal.

“Bad News: I’ve been laid off from @mmfa, along with a dozen colleagues. There’s a reason far-right billionaires attack Media Matters with armies of lawyers: They know how effective our work is, and it terrifies them (him),” wrote employee Kat Abughazaleh in an obvious reference to Musk.

Jared Holt, a prominent left-wing researcher, urged other organizations to scoop up those who had been let go.

— Jared Holt (@jaredlholt) May 23, 2024

Although there is no evidence the layoffs are directly linked to Elon Musk or the ongoing investigations, one can safely assume that they have not helped the organization’s financial position.

Last November, Musk filed a defamation lawsuit against MMFA in federal court in November, accusing them of manipulating images to show advertisements from major corporations alongside posts from white supremacists and neo-Nazis.

Meanwhile, the Missouri Attorney General filed a separate lawsuit last December for engaging in fraudulent business practices and refusing to cooperate with an ongoing investigation.

The Failing Washington Post Wants to Replace Its Journalists With AI Bots as Losses Mount

The failing newspaper The Washington Post is seeking to pivot towards artificial intelligence (AI) after posting a humiliating $77 million loss over the past financial year.

According to Semafor media industry editor Max Tani, the paper’s CEO and publisher, Will Lewis, told staff that it plans to incorporate AI across the company.

Tani reported:

Washington Post CEO Will Lewis is introing the paper’s new “Build It” plan today. In a meeting with staff, he noted that the paper lost $77 million over the past year, and saw a 50% drop off in audience since 2020: “To be direct, we are in a hole, and we have been for some time.”

Lewis says the says the three pillars of the new strategy are: great journalism, happy customers, and making money: “If we’re doing things that don’t meet all three…we should stop doing that.” He adds that the company will also be looking for ways to use AI in its journalism.

AI is a major component of the Post’s internal strategy announcement today. WaPo’s chief tech officer told staff that going forward, the paper has to have “AI everywhere in our newsroom.” Lewis says the company is focused on growing subscriptions organically but is open to growing them through an acquisition if it makes sense.

The Post’s financial troubles come after their billionaire sugar daddy Jeff Bezos indicated that he would not continue to subsidize the company’s losses. Last year, the company laid off hundreds of employees in response to the “financial hardship” it had experienced amid falling subscribers.

Coincendetally, the shift towards AI coincides with the announcement of a $250 million agreement between NewsCorp and OpenAI that will grant the company access to content from NewsCorp’s various properties, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post, and The Times of London.

Former Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby Will Not Serve Time in Prison For Perjury and Mortgage Fraud

Prison time is only reserved for pro-life Christians and Trump supporters.

As previously reported, Soros-backed State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby was found guilty on two federal counts of perjury last November.

In February, Marilyn Mosby was found guilty on one count of mortgage fraud after testifying that she made false statements on loan applications in order to buy two vacation homes in Florida.

Marilyn Mosby was indicted on federal charges of perjury and filing a false mortgage application in January 2022.

Mosby was a corrupt Soros prosecutor who previously charged the wrong people, wrong names, wrong birth dates, and wrong addresses of two officers in the Freddie Gray case.

Mosby was humiliated when all charges against the police were eventually dropped.

In November Mosby was found guilty of perjury. She did not take the stand in her own defense.

“I’m blessed. I’m blessed. I have nothing else to say,” Mosby said as she exited the courthouse with her attorneys last year.

“Former State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby’s sentence includes 12 months of home confinement, 100 hours of community service and three years of supervised release.” – the AP reported.

Marilyn Mosby’s supporters cheered as she exited the courthouse. They’re happy a convicted criminal isn’t serving prison time.
