Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico may still be bedridden, recovering from the shots he received during his assassination attempt, but his government is plowing along vigorously with his agenda.

Fico’s coalition pushed his overhaul of public broadcaster RTVS through an initial parliamentary vote today (22).

The new oversight council and leadership for RTVS still must clear debate and a final vote in the coming weeks, but it is expected to be approved by the government’s majority in parliament.

Fico’s government is at odds with ‘independent’ (a.k.a. Globalist) media outlets and have accused broadcaster RTVS of not being impartial.

Reuters reported:

“The law ‘aims to restore to broadcasting true attributes of public service, balance, independence, objectivity, truthfulness and transparency’, Culture Minister Martina Simkovicova told parliament.

Under the legislation, RTVS’s director will be replaced years before his term expires, and a nine-member council – appointed by the government and parliament – will be responsible for filling the position.”

Opposition parties complain that the law ‘would stifle criticism of the government, curtail freedom of speech and undermine media independence’.

European Commission Vice-President Vera Jourova alerted that the overhaul would bring public media under direct government control.

“Fico remains in hospital after an attack that officials say was politically motivated, but the leftist-nationalist government has said it would not retreat from its policies.

[…] The government has adjusted its TV overhaul proposal, removing a part that would have installed a programming board, which raised censorship worries, and the possibility that the director could be fired without cause. But criticism has continued.”

Meanwhile, the investigation of Fico’s shooting may take an unexpected turn.

“The attack on Prime Minister Robert Fico could be treated as terrorism, Slovakian prosecutor general Maroš Žilinka said on Wednesday.

[…] During an unprecedented appearance at the Security Council of the Slovak Republic meeting, Žilinka said that the potential reclassification was based on gathered evidence, allowing military special services to assist in the investigation.”

Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Robert Kaliňák also mentioned that the government is considering harsher penalties for hate speech.

“Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok noted 50 ongoing cases of verbal attacks and glorification of the assassination attempt, with the number expected to double as new reports come in.

Slovakian President Zuzana Čaputová and President-elect Peter Pellegrini, who will take office on June 15, met with religious leaders to discuss calming national tensions.”

Former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley has announced she will vote for Donald Trump in November.

While speaking at an event hosted by the Hudson Institute, Haley said, “I will be voting for Trump.”

“Trump would be smart to reach out to the millions of people who voted for me and continue to support me and not assume that they’re just going to be with him. And I genuinely hope he does that,” added Haley.

During her March suspension speech, the former Governor of South Carolina refused to endorse Donald Trump, but her tone has changed.

Nikki Haley said Wednesday that she will be voting for Donald Trump in the general election, a notable show of support given their intense and often personal rivalry during the Republican primary calendar.

But Haley also made it clear that she feels Trump has work to do to win over voters who supported her during the course of the primary campaign and continue to cast votes for her in ongoing primary contests.

“I will be voting for Trump,” Haley, Trump’s former U.N. ambassador, said during an event at the Hudson Institute in Washington.

“Having said that, I stand by what I said in my suspension speech,” Haley added. “Trump would be smart to reach out to the millions of people who voted for me and continue to support me and not assume that they’re just going to be with him. And I genuinely hope he does that.”

After suffering a miserable defeat on Super Tuesday, Nikki Haley suspended her campaign.

In her suspension speech, the former U.N. ambassador vowed to continue to support the war in Ukraine and called for Trump to “earn” her voters.

Florida’s Senator Rick Scott has announced his intention to run for the position of Senate Republican Leader in a “Dear Colleague Letter” obtained by The American Conservative. He would replace the retiring Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell, who has served in that role since 2007. 

Scott begins his letter with the statement that “the path our nation is going down is not sustainable,” citing the open border, the national debt, the precarious geopolitical situation abroad, inflation, American dependence on China, the drug overdose crisis, the insolvency of Social Security, and the presence of men in women’s sports. Scott highlights his experience turning around failed businesses before becoming governor as proof that he can do likewise with the nation. 

As for the Senate itself, Scott criticizes the current practice of bills being rolled out to the surprise of senators, who are not given the chance to either amend or even review them. At the same time, Scott highlights that the many Senate Republicans will work against their conference and with Democrats to pass many bills and that Republican voters expect their senators to stop “caving in to Democrat demands.” Scott likewise hits the current GOP Senate leadership for not representing the issues and priorities of Republican voters, particularly on the weaponization of the Federal government. 

Scott’s letter includes many proposed reforms to the operations of the Republican Senate conference, including giving senators the opportunity to review legislation before voting and greater cooperation with House Republicans. The letter also argues that the Republican Senate Leader should be limited to serving a six-year term, a vision that stands in sharp contrast to the Kentuckian Senator Mitch McConnell’s over 17 years as Senate Republican leader.

Scott also highlighted the need for the Republican Senate Leader to work with Donald Trump, assuming the former president is re-elected. The Senator stated that “it is not time to make small adjustments” and that America needs “a dramatic sea change to save our country.”

Scott, former chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the GOP body responsible for winning the Senate, challenged McConnell for the leadership in November 2022 following a disappointing midterm election cycle. That bid failed, 37 to 10, despite attracting support from more hardline conservatives in the upper chamber.

On Wednesday at the Hudson Institute in Washington, D.C., the former presidential candidate Nikki Haley stated that she will be voting for Trump on November 5.

At an inaugural event celebrating her appointment to Hudson’s new Walter P. Stern Chair, during a question-and-answer session, Haley said, “I put my priorities on a president who’s gonna have the backs of our allies and hold our enemies to account…. Trump has not been perfect on these policies—I have made that clear many, many times. But Biden has been a catastrophe.” 

She continued, “I will be voting for Trump. Having said that, I stand by what I said in my suspension speech: Trump would be smart to reach out to the millions of people who voted for me and who continue to support me, and not assume that they’re just going to be with him.”

Haley’s announcement was met with mixed reactions on social media. Some are confused, recalling that just a few months ago, Haley accused Trump of being “unhinged” and called him “unfit” to be president. 

Trump has yet to comment on Haley’s change of heart.

Diplomatic spat: Milei, Sanchez and wife.

Argentine President Javier Milei was cheered in Madrid as he called out Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez for allowing corruption to fester – including by his own wife.

If that was not enough, #PedroVigilaATuEsposa began trending on X to the despair of the Spanish socialist apparatus.

Crowds took to the streets to protest him: ‘Pedro Sanchez, son of a b*tch!’

In this context, Socialist PM Sanchez did what leftists do: he victimizes himself with full force.

He already pulled this card earlier in the month when he took 5 days of leave to decide if he should renounce his premiership and mandate – but of course, he did not.

Now, the Spanish government declares that the withdrawal of its ambassador to Buenos Aires – which was initially ‘for consultations’ – is now “permanent”.

Spain demanded an apology after Milei ‘insulted’ Sanchez’s wife, Begona Gomez, during a visit in which he also snubbed usual protocols of meeting the king and prime minister.

“Gomez has been the subject of a court investigation into accusations of influence peddling and business corruption by an activist group, though Madrid’s prosecuting authority has appealed to drop the case due to lack of evidence.

‘The ambassador will permanently stay in Madrid’, Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares told reporters, using stronger diplomatic parlance than in previous days. ‘We have no interest in nor desire for any escalation, but it’s the government’s obligation to defend the dignity and sovereignty of Spanish institutions, especially when the aggression occurs in the capital of Spain’.”

The embassy in Argentina will be headed by the ‘charge d’affaires’. In an interview, Milei said the move was ‘an absurdity in diplomatic terms’.

“‘What’s happening is literally a folly typical of an arrogant Socialist, who personally took a comment that didn’t contain any names as an allusion and nonsensically decided to go for a diplomatic escalation, so it’s Pedro Sanchez’s problem’, he said.

‘Does he believe he’s the state? That’s very totalitarian,” he added, complaining that Sanchez had endorsed his rival in Argentina’s election and not congratulated him for winning’.”

Milei still insists that Spanish officials are the ones that should apologize to him, after insults included a suggestion that he was a drug user.

“In his speech, Milei said global elites should beware the destructive ideas of socialism and the ‘kind of people’ and ‘levels of abuse’ it can generate before making an obvious allusion to Gomez’s case when he spoke of ‘a corrupt wife’.”

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster has signed a bill banning sex change surgeries and hormones for minors.

House Bill 4624, dubbed the “Help not Harm” bill by legislators, prohibits anyone under the age of 18 from receiving sex change surgery or any form of puberty blockers or hormones.

The Associated Press reports that the bill also requires school principals or vice principals “to notify parents or guardians if a child wanted to use a name other than their legal one, or a nickname or pronouns that did not match their sex assigned at birth.”

“I signed the Help Not Harm bill into law, which protects our state’s children from irreversible gender transition procedures and bans public funds from being used for them,” McMaster wrote in a statement posted to X on Wednesday. “I look forward to joining legislators and supporters at a ceremonial bill signing in the Upstate next week.”

The law took effect immediately upon being signed by the governor.

There are a few exceptions, such as for children with certain medical conditions that cause them to enter into premature puberty.

South Carolina is now the 25th state to ban the controversial procedures for minors.

EVERYONE IN AMERICA Knows things were better under President Trump – no matter what garbage the media is pushing. And EVERYTHING is worse under Joe Biden. The Marxist left is destroying the country. And it’s not likely to get any better as long as Democrats hold on to power.

Last week President Donald Trump announced he will hold a rally in South Bronx, New York this Thursday to “highlight the horrendous effects Crooked Joe Biden’s presidency had had on our economy,: according to a statement released by the former president’s campaign Friday.

This announcement comes after President Trump delivered remarks to a massive crowd of roughly 100,000 supporters in Wildwood, New Jersey.

This is an unprecedented move for a Republican candidate. It’s been a long time coming.

But not everyone is excited to see President Trump come to the Bronx.

Far left groups, open borders groups, Socialists and Marxists are planning to protest President Trump’s rally tomorrow at Cotrona Park in the Bronx.

Far left Democrat and New York City Assemblymember Amanda Septimo called on fellow socialists to counter-protest Trump’s speech. They want Bronx residents to continue to suffer.

Look for violence.

Septimo, as well as civil rights activist Kirsten John Foy, told the New York Post on Monday they don’t want Trump and his views on issues such as immigration to go unchallenged in the borough, so they organized counter-programming.

Rep. Ritchie John Torres, a Democrat who represents New York’s 15th Congressional District – where the rally is being held – blasted the former president in a statement to Fox News Digital.

“The South Bronx has no greater enemy than Donald Trump, who is on a mission to dismantle the social safety net on which Bronx families depend for their survival,” Torres said. “Trump is and has always been a fraud. The South Bronx – the most Democratic area in the nation – will not buy the snake oil that he is selling.”

They will certainly be outnumbered. Over 10,000 Trump supporters are expected at the Trump rally tomorrow.

The Transpacific Partnership (TPP), another Obama-era globalist free trade agreement, is back in the news, and unsurprisingly, the usual suspects think the US is missing out by not surrendering its sovereignty and allowing other countries to export to the US tariff-free. In addition to free trade, globalists think the only way to save the American economy is to allow millions of people into the country who are willing to work for $5 an hour.

Globalists believe that the US needs integration with the rest of the world and that this integration is some sort of panacea that will solve all the world’s problems while improving the lives of all people. Groups like the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) argue that inequality has widened and that integration will help to reduce it. However, if the US integrates with poorer countries, we will wind up with an average, which means Americans will lose while the people from the developing countries will gain.

One example would be Mexico, where the average income is $11,500 per year, whereas in the US it is $70,000. If we calculate a weighted average, considering the difference in the size of the populations, we get about $25,000. So, if the US integrates with Mexico, we can eliminate income disparity if we all agree to live on just $25,000 per year. This is essentially what globalist organizations want. By forcing the US to integrate its economy with other nations, we would just be decreasing the standard of living for Americans.

Of course, the US could also integrate with Haiti, which has a per capita GDP of less than $800 per year. The globalists would love that.

An organization called Global Sourced praised Clinton and Obama for their contributions to the globalization of the United States in an article titled “Globalization: The Foundation of America’s Economic Power.” They miss the point that the foundation of American power is hard work, fair courts, a lack of corruption, a high degree of freedoms, innovation, risk-taking, education, democracy, private property rights, capitalism, and one of the highest worker productivity in the world. The countries they want the US to integrate with generally have high levels of corruption, low levels of judicial independence, and lower worker productivity. They also tend to have higher degrees of socialism. Integrating the two economies won’t solve the problems of the poorer country.

The North American Development Bank wrote, “U.S.-Mexico Border: Linchpin for the Economic Integration of North America.” American conservatives would see this as a stronger argument to keep the border secure. However, Obama is still active on the speaking circuit, telling globalist conferences that the US needs globalism and that it is the only way to transition to lower inequality and green energy.

Similarly, President Biden has instructed the United States Trade Representative (USTR) to promote “Biden’s Vision for Worker-Centered Trade Policy.” This policy is supposed to improve the lives of workers by ensuring compliance with “international labor rights under U.S. trade agreements,” but the Biden administration “excludes foreign workers, employers, and counterpart governments from those processes.” By not forcing countries that export to the US to comply with international labor rights, Biden is giving these countries an unfair price advantage, which will only increase the amount of foreign products in the US while eliminating US jobs.

The globalists are also pushing for US participation in multinational organizations and trade agreements. The Transpacific Partnership (TPP), for example, is a massive, multilateral trade group championed by Obama, which Trump rightly pulled the US out of. Supporters of the TPP claim that it will create jobs, but this makes absolutely no sense as the tariff-free imports from countries with low wages will eliminate manufacturing jobs in the US. Meanwhile, poor countries are unlikely to buy increasing quantities of high-value, high-priced US export goods.

Critics of the US aversion to joining these large groupings always argue that the US is missing out. But that is not the case. The US is the world’s second-largest trading country, and that will not change by joining these groupings. The US is the biggest importer, and these countries will not refuse to sell to us. The US dominates certain areas of trade where China doesn’t hold a candle, such as machine parts, farm machinery, white goods (appliances), precision technology, aviation and space technology, and food.

Additionally, the US already has bilateral trade agreements with most of the world and is already trading, investing, and maintaining diplomatic relations with all but six countries: Afghanistan, Bhutan, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and Yemen. Other than Bhutan, those countries are all pariah states, and all of them are poor. The US is losing nothing by not establishing free trade or economic integration with them.

Among the supposed benefits of the TPP is the “greater integration of the economies,” but it is unclear why anyone believes that integration would benefit the United States. The US is the richest country by GDP and the eighth richest by per capita GDP. The US dollar is the dominant trade and reserve currency. As stated above, the US already trades with the world. No harm could possibly come from securing the southern border, controlling immigration, remaining outside of transnational trade groupings, and just continuing to trade and invest with other countries as we always have.

Joe Biden on Wednesday welcomed President William Ruto of the Republic of Kenya to the White House.

“President Joe Biden welcomed Kenyan President William Ruto to the White House for a three-day state visit and designating the East African nation a major non-NATO ally as it prepares to deploy forces to Haiti as part of U.N.-led effort to address the security crisis in the Caribbean country.” ABC News said.

“Some 1,000 Kenyan police officers are set to arrive soon in Haiti, part of a multilateral security support mission that aims to help quell gang violence. Other countries expected to back up Kenyan forces include the Bahamas, Barbados, Benin, Chad and Bangladesh.” ABC News said.

The Kenyan president arrived at the South Portico of the White House.

Biden sounded like a 4-year-old during a back-and-forth with a reporter as he shuffled out to greet President William Ruto.

“When are you going to Africa, sir?” a reporter asked Biden.

“When you wanna go?” Biden replied.

“When you want to go?” the reporter asked Biden.

“When you wanna go,” Biden said.

“When do I want to go?” the reporter asked Biden.

“We’re heading today — to Africa. I’m joking,” Biden said before he shuffled into the White House.
