Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, the high-profile prosecutor in President Donald Trump’s election interference case, has been hit with severe allegations of fund mismanagement by her challenger.

Christian Wise Smith, an experienced prosecutor himself, has called for Willis’ immediate resignation following revelations of a second congressional investigation into her office’s financial practices.

Republican Senators Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) have initiated a second congressional investigation into the alleged misappropriation. The senators accuse Willis of diverting funds meant for at-risk youth and gang prevention towards purchasing computers and “swag,” FOX News reported.

The Justice Department Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) granted nearly $500,000 to the Fulton County District Attorney’s office in 2020.

The grant was meant to establish the Fulton County Center of Youth Empowerment and Gang Prevention, aimed at providing professional development, academic mentorship, and a community network for young people at risk of gang activity. However, despite the grant, reports suggest that the center remains unopened with its proposed building closed to the public.

Amanda Timpson, former director of gang prevention and intervention for the Fulton County DA Office, reportedly warned Willis about plans within her office to use the OJJDP gang prevention funding on ineligible expenses such as MacBooks and travel instead of aiding at-risk youth. Timpson’s employment was terminated two months after raising these concerns.

In addition to the OJJDP grant, in 2020, the Fulton County DA’s office received $2 million in federal funding through the Office of Justice Program’s Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI). This funding was intended to address the problem of unsubmitted sexual assault kits and assist law enforcement and prosecutors in solving these crimes.

Grassley and Johnson allege that around 49% of the SAKI funding was spent on travel and conference expenses from 2020 to 2023, with only 28% spent on professional services like forensic and DNA testing. By 2023, nearly 98% of the SAKI funding was being used for travel and conference expenditures.

“The waste or misuse of taxpayer funds is unacceptable,” the senators wrote in their letter, demanding a complete accounting of all federal grants received by the Fulton County DA since fiscal year 2019.

In light of these allegations, Christian Wise Smith, who is challenging Willis in the Democratic primary, has called for her immediate resignation.

Now it arises that the European Union approved its new asylum and migration system – despite Poland voting against the so-called migration pact in its entirety.

And what’s more, Tusk is refusing to receive illegal migrants sent to Poland under the EU-established ‘quotas,’ even though Warsaw has a ‘legal obligation’ to do so under European rules.

In this instance, Defender of Democracy Tusk is virtually indistinguishable from Hungary’s Viktor Orbán, ‘the autocrat,’ whose country also voted against the new rules.

While all this is going on, Tusk reportedly wants the EU’s help in building ‘impenetrable’ walls on the borders with Russia and Belarus.

To receive its ‘portion of migrants’ from Africa and the Middle East is ‘obligatory’ for each EU member country – according to the Pact on Migration and Asylum (NPMA), adopted by the EU in April.

Donald Tusk reiterated that Poland ‘will not have to accept any migrants, that the EU will not impose any migrant quotas on us.’

“A refusal to receive a migrant for whom the EU earmarked Poland as the new motherland should cost Poland €20,000 (about $21,000) – the norm established by the NPMA. But Tusk objects.

‘We won’t pay for anything, and we won’t take any migrants that arrive from other directions [except the Ukrainian one]. And the EU will not impose any migrant quotas on us‘, Tusk said in a statement published on his office’s Twitter account. ‘But Poland will require financial support from the EU, because Poland became a host country for hundreds of thousands of migrants from Ukraine’.”

Poland’s (and Hungary’s) stance is in direct contradiction to the norms of the New Pact.

But it is an overwhelmingly popular position in Poland, where citizens strongly disapproves of hosting migrants ‘from far away countries’.

“Simultaneously, a recent survey by SW Research indicates that 67% of Poles favor enhancing border security with Russia and Belarus. The building of a 5.5 meter high and 400 kilometers long wall separating Poland from Belarus and Russia’s Kaliningrad region will be costly.

On Saturday, Tusk said in his speech in Krakow that Poland would invest [the equivalent of] $2.5 billion […] in these ‘dissuasion’ fortifications. Poland already spends 4% of its GDP on defense, so Tusk’s promise to get the EU’s participation is weak solace to the electorate.”

Yesterday, Michael Cohen admitted to stealing $60,000 from the Trump Organization. Cohen, a former attorney to Donald Trump and a convicted perjurer, acknowledged the theft while being questioned by Todd Blanche, Trump’s defense attorney, as part of the ongoing Manhattan trial against Trump for alleged “hush-money” payments.

Cohen stole the money in early 2017 by asking the Trump Organization for a $50,000 reimbursement covering payments to Red Finch, a tech company, on behalf of the Trump Organization. Once he received the money, Cohen gave only $20,000 to Red Finch, paying with cash in a paper bag. Cohen kept the remaining $30,000 for himself, although the amount was doubled in a process known as “grossing up,” to cover taxes.

Cohen justified his theft stating that it was “self-help” and done in revenge for Trump cutting his bonus from $150,000 to $50,000. As Cohen admitted, to this date he has not had to pay back the Trump Organization for the stolen funds. Cohen further admitted to making over $4 million from his Trump-focused podcasts and books.

The crime could have constituted a class C felony, which can carry sentences of up to 15 years in prison; however, the five-year statute of limitations on Cohen’s theft expired in 2022. According to Michael Bachner, a former Manhattan prosecutor, the questioning was effective and demonstrated that Cohen is “a liar and a thief” and “motivated in money in everything that he does.”

The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley’s iconic Graceland mansion, is on the cusp of being sold at a foreclosure auction this Thursday, which has led Elvis’s granddaughter to fight back in a lawsuit.

According to a notice provided by the Shelby County Courthouse in Memphis, Tennesse, Graceland and its surrounding estate are set to be auctioned off on May 2nd in an auction.

In response to the notice, Riley Keough, the granddaughter of the late Elvis Presley, has called the auction a “sham” and filed a lawsuit to prevent the estate from being sold.

On Monday, an attorney representing Keough obtained a temporary restraining order to prevent the sale, and a junction hearing was set for Wednesday.

Elvis Presley’s Graceland mansion, a hugely popular tourist attraction and the singer’s final resting place, appears to be headed for a foreclosure auction later this week.

Elvis Presley’s legendary Graceland mansion is on the verge of being sold at a foreclosure auction on Thursday — sparking a dramatic legal battle from his granddaughter, Riley Keough, who called the pending sale “fraudulent.”

A notice from the Shelby County Courthouse states that Graceland and its surrounding property in Memphis, Tennessee, will be auctioned off to the highest bidder for cash on May 23, WREG-TV News reported.

Keough, 34, the current owner of the property and granddaughter of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, is fiercely contesting the sale. She filed a lawsuit calling the auction a sham, and on Monday, her attorney secured a temporary restraining order.

An injunction hearing is set for Wednesday.

According to the Guardian, Keough’s mother, Lisa Presley, who died last year, allegedly placed Graceland as collateral after receiving a loan a $3.8m loan from Naussany Investments & Private Lending.
