Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) has come a long way from 2016 when he was destroyed by the morbidly obese RINO Chris Christie in a critical debate and branded “Little Marco” by then-candidate Donald Trump.

During a Sunday appearance on “Meet the Press” with leftist host Kristen Welker, Rubio discussed illegal immigration, abortion, and the 2024 election. Things got particularly heated when the discussion turned to election integrity.

Welker thought she could embarrass the Florida senator with a pair of gotcha questions. She started by trying to get him to commit to accepting the 2024 election results regardless.

Rubio promptly responded that Welker’s question was stupid and pointed out that it could be an unfair election. After Welker rudely interrupted her guest, Rubio pointed out that Democrats, including Crooked Hillary Clinton, have made a habit of refusing to accept election results.

Welker then felt the need to defend Hillary’s “honor” and falsely claimed Bill’s disgraced wife accepted Trump’s historic win. At that moment, things went south for Welker.

Rubio promptly responded by humiliating Welker with simple facts. He pointed out that not only did Hillary claim Trump’ win was illegitimate, but Democrats for years have been making outlandish claims about election fraud after being whipped.

The senator went on to share that many Democrats today are planning not to certify a Trump election victory by falsely claiming he’s an insurrectionist.

“Have you ever asked the Democrats this question on your show?” Rubio queried.

Undeterred, Welker tried to trip Rubio up again by telling him he certified Joe Biden’s 2020 election “win.”

“So by your own definition, are Donald Trump’s claims (of vote-rigging) undermining election results?” Welker asked.

This gotcha question did not work either. Rubio flipped the tables on her again by pointing out some of the ways Democrats and the corporate media rigged the 2020 election.

“What undermines peoples’ confidence in elections is when you have places like Wisconsin where you had over 500 illegal drop box locations, Rubio replied. “(And) where you have places like Georgia where liberal groups are handing $10 (to vote Democrat).”

Welker tried to interrupt Rubio’s truth inferno, but he blew right past her.

“Listen, what undermines elections is when NBC News and every other major news outlet in 2020 censored the Biden laptop story, which turned out to be true, not Russian misinformation,” he continued. “You couldn’t even talk about it on social media, or people would de-platform you.”

“People look at all this. People look at what happened in Arizona when 200,000 ballot signatures did not match. People lose confidence.”

When Welker finally got a word in, she could not deny the inconvertible facts Rubio unleashed. Her only move was to lie to her audience by saying “nothing has been censored” on NBC and continuing to harp on Rubio’s vote.

Too many Republicans accept the corporate media’s narrative on a subject and are forced to play defense to appear likable. Whether or not Rubio ultimately becomes Trump’s running mate, having a sidekick with the talent to frustrate the left is a critical skill that can help make a difference on the campaign trail and in a VP debate.

Biden, joined by Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, delivered remarks at a celebration for Jewish American Heritage Month in the Rose Garden at the White House.

As usual, Biden was a total disaster.

At one point Joe Biden said an Israeli-American who is still being held hostage by Hamas was at the White House.

“And here with us today is Hersh Goldberg-Polin…” Biden said before correcting himself.

What a disgrace.

The Gateway Pundit revealed last week that Red Lobster was in danger of bankruptcy after closing 127 locations in 27 states. Now, the famous seafood joint’s fall is complete, thanks mainly to Bidenomics.

As the Daily Mail reported, Red Lobster officially filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Sunday night. The chain revealed in a court filing late Sunday Red Lobster’s estimated assets are between $1 billion and $10 billion, while its estimated liabilities are between $1 billion and $10 billion.

Red Lobster also has more than 100,000 creditors.

The Mail notes the bankruptcy petition was signed by Jonathan Tibus, a corporate restructuring specialist who became Red Lobster’s CEO in March.

Tibus released a statement claiming that filing for bankruptcy is “the best path forward” and the company will emerge more robust as a result.

This restructuring is the best path forward for Red Lobster. It allows us to address several financial and operational challenges and emerge stronger and re-focused on our growth.

The support we’ve received from our lenders and vendors will help ensure that we can complete the sale process quickly and efficiently while remaining focused on our employees and guests.

NPR reports that roughly 580 locations in the U.S. and Canada will stay open through the process. These locations combine to employ approximately 36,000 workers.

Biden’s garbage economy has made dining out in America more expensive. Fast food prices, for example, have skyrocketed a whopping 33% since 2019 as Bidenflation continues to make the dollar more worthless.

Red Lobster launched an ill-advised $25 “endless shrimp’” promotion in a desperate attempt to attract customers. The offer was introduced last June as a permanent fixture on the menu.

More people took advantage of the offer than Red Lobster expected, but the company kept it going for six months.

The losses exceeded the $3.3 million lost under a similar promotion scheme in 2003.

Red Lobster was founded by Bill Darden in 1968. Darden wanted to make seafood restaurants more accessible and affordable for American families. He later sold the company to General Mills in 1970.

General Mills later formed Darden Restaurants, which has multiple other restaurant chains, including Olive Garden. They spun Red Lobster off in 1995.

Red Lobster currently operates 700 locations worldwide.

Walt Nauta, Trump’s co-defendant in Jack Smith’s classified documents case, detailed additional prosecutorial abuse in a new motion to dismiss.

Recall that Walt Nauta, a former White House employee and Navy veteran who worked valet for Trump and served as a personal staffer at Mar-a-Lago was indicted along with Trump last year.

According to the federal indictment reviewed by The Gateway Pundit, Nauta was charged along with Trump in counts 32, 33, 43, 35, and 36.

The charges include conspiracy, withholding a document or record, corruptly concealing a document or record, concealing a document in a federal investigation and scheme to conceal.

Walt Nauta was also charged alone in count 38: False statements and misrepresentations.

A lawyer for Walt Nauta said in a new motion: “Dismissal, without prejudice to filing of a rule-compliant, constitutionally-valid indictment, would address the SCO’s abuse of criminal process.”

Walt Nauta’s lawyer detailed prosecutorial abuses by hired gun Jack Smith, including “continued reference to uncharged offense allegations, improper reference to statements obtained through attorney-client communication privilege violations, and improper reference to “court-authorized search warrant.”

Dirty Jack Smith was also accused of “improperly introducing Secret Service issues, improper hearsay about Nauta and improper inclusion of stories about press interviews and conferences appear designed to prejudice and not to allege any fact of relevance.”

Judge Cannon earlier this month set hearings on key motions, including Walt Nauta’s motion to dismiss for selective and vindictive prosecution.

The non-evidentiary hearing on Nauta’s motion to dismiss for selective and vindictive prosecution will be held this Wednesday at 10 am.

Earlier this month Judge Cannon indefinitely postponed Jack Smith’s classified documents trial against Trump after the Special Counsel admitted to tampering with evidence.

Judge Cannon set a second set of pre-trial deadlines to manage pending discovery and disclosure matters.

The Judge vacated the May 20, 2024 trial date. It may be several months until Judge Cannon sets a new trial date.

President Trump was back in a Manhattan court on Monday in Alvin Bragg’s Soviet-style ‘hush money’ lawfare trial.

The prosecutors earlier Monday rolled out their ‘star witness’ Michael Cohen, a convicted perjurer, to take the witness stand.

Cohen shocked the public when he admitted he stole tens of thousands of dollars from Trump and lied to Trump Org. CFO Allen Weisselberg.

After the prosecution rested their case, Trump’s defense team called attorney Robert Costello to the witness stand.

Recall that Robert Costello previously blasted Michael Cohen as a “convicted perjurer” and said Bragg’s prosecutors cherry-picked emails.

“Merchan is absolutely seething over Costello’s damning testimony. The type of treatment Costello, an experienced prosecutor who once worked for the US Attorney’s Office for New York in the 1970s and early 1980s, is receiving on the witness stand from the judge is disgusting,” Paul Ingrassia said.

The Biden administration has issued an official condolence for Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian, and others who were killed in a fatal helicopter crash in the northern mountainous part of Iran.

The U.S. State Department, in a press release, wrote, “The United States expresses its official condolences for the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian, and other members of their delegation in a helicopter crash in northwest Iran.”

The condolence continued, “As Iran selects a new president, we reaffirm our support for the Iranian people and their struggle for human rights and fundamental freedoms.”

Many users on social media slammed the Biden administration for releasing condolence for Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who is known as the “Butcher of Tehran,” before they acknowledged the tragic death of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student at Augusta University, who was an illegal alien killed.

One of the most interesting things about the attempted assassination of Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico is that he was recuperating in a hospital named after FDR. The suspected gunman, per the Guardian, is a 71-year-old named Juraj Cintula. He is “an amateur poet and former security guard.”

Fico is an interesting character, a consummate survivor even by the standard of politics in Central Europe—a brutish looking man, with a very sharp understanding of whither the wind is blowing. He’s Orbanesque, both liberal and authoritarian, depending on the topic at hand. He has argued against aiding Ukraine, and opposed face masks during Covid, which bolstered his populist credentials. The Financial Times describes his checkered political journey: “Fico was a Communist before the fall of the Berlin Wall and positioned Smer as notionally social democratic, he has morphed into a nationalist conservative.” 

You get the idea. He previously had to resign due to the protests over the murder of a liberal journalist and his fiancee. European officials, as far as I know, are willing to work with Fico, given that, first, he is very intelligent and conciliatory in private, and, second, he isn’t a Panda-hugger. Friendliness toward China will be an increasing issue in European politics. 

But if there is one recurrent theme in Europe, especially in Central and Eastern Europe, it is that every tragedy results in more centralized authority. Keep an eye on what Fico will do the moment he is back in power.

A federal judge on Sunday issued a temporary restraining order against the Biden Administration, stopping the unconstitutional ATF rule expanding gun background checks.

Last month the Biden Regime announced the implementation of the “Engaged in the Business” Final Rule.

The Final Rule aimed to close the so-called “gun show loophole,” ensuring that all gun dealers, regardless of where they sell firearms, comply with federal background check requirements.

Shortly after the Biden Regime’s announcement, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton led a coalition suing the ATF to block the “Final Rule.”

On Sunday, US District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, a Trump appointee, blocked the Biden Regime’s “Final Rule” before it took effect.

Reuters reported:

A federal judge on Sunday blocked the Biden administration from fully implementing a new rule that would require gun dealers to obtain licenses and conduct background checks when selling firearms at gun shows and online.

U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk in Amarillo temporarily restrained, opens new tab the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ rule from being enforced in Republican-led Texas or against members of several gun rights groups.

“We Just Secured A Temporary Restraining Order Against Biden Administration, Stopping Unlawful ATF Rule from Taking Effect: I am relieved that we were able to secure a restraining order that will prevent this illegal rule from taking effect. The Biden Administration cannot unilaterally overturn Americans’ constitutional rights and nullify the Second Amendment,” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement on X.
