Per Oregon Live:

The Portland Pickles will become the first sports team in the United States to legally sell cannabis-based products at live sports events.

The baseball team announced Tuesday an exclusive partnership with Cycling Frog, which sells THC-based (derived from hemp) seltzer drinks. The team said it will begin selling the drinks at Walker Stadium on June 18.

The drink – which contains 2 MG of THC and 4MG of CBG per can – will be available in passionfruit and lemon flavors at the ballpark.

“The Portland Pickles have a responsibility in the sports industry to take leaps and set a precedent of innovative partnerships,” Ross Campbell, VP of Business Development for the Pickles, said in a statement. “As we saw in 2019, becoming the first team to ever partner with a CBD company, and quickly teams all the way up to the Major League level across sports follow suit.”

As the drinks contain 2 MG of hemp-derived THC per serving, fans must be at least 21 years of age to purchase. According to their statement, the Pickles have consulted on regulations with the OLCC and Portland Parks and Recreation, which owns the stadium.

The Portland Pickles are a collegiate summer baseball team in the West Coast League.

On Sunday, she posted a video following Joe Biden and Barack Obama’s fundraiser in Los Angeles in front of a theater of supporters who paid top dollar to sit in an auditorium to hear Joe Biden ramble and freeze on stage.

Joe Biden and Barack Obama appeared on stage together for a fundraiser in Los Angeles, California, on Saturday evening.

Biden reportedly raised $28 million from Hollywood elitists in Los Angeles.

Out-of-touch Hollywood actors and singers like George Clooney, Barbara Streisand, and Julia Roberts helped Biden raise money at the Peacock Theater.

The event ended with Barack Obama taking Joe Biden’s arm and taking him off stage. Their 40-minute appearance was too much for Old Joe, who was completely lost and did not know what to do.

PopcornandPajamas later released this video in response to Joe Biden’s latest public battle with dementia.

The tweet and transcript was posted via Wall Street Apes.

“Y’all Jill Biden is a disgusting evil piece of cr*p. Just my opinion though. Now Joe Biden was at a fundraiser with Jimmy Kimmel and Barack Obama. And they was on the stage and when they got ready to leave the stage of course Joe Biden was standing there like a deer in the headlights knowing what they’re doing. We used to that.

We used to him standing there like a deer in the headlights. But Barack Obama had to grab him and lead him off the stage. Y’all think I’m lying go and take a look at the go and take a look at the video.

Now we can’t forget when they was in Italy with the G7 leaders that he wandered off and the prime minister had to go and get them and bring them back over there where everybody was at. We not gonna forget when the Easter bunny had to get him
‌
But the reason I said Jill Biden is a disgusting piece of crap is because she knows that her husband is sick. She knows that her husband is mentally there.

I’m not saying that he was always mentally there. I’m not saying that. But right now she know this man is not mentally there and she’s allowing these people to use him to keep whatever little power that she has, whatever little title she has as First Lady
‌
She’s willing to let them use this man because that’s what the Democrat party is doing. The Democrat party is using Joe Biden because let me tell you something, if they cared about anything about Joe Biden, if they cared about this man or his health, they would even tell them, hey, Go home and rest. But instead of doing that, they’re willing to use this man and that’s what they’re doing. And this is why I think Joe Biden is a evil, disgusting, lowlife piece of trash. Just my opinion.
‌
We all have them. I mean, come on. And we know this man have Alzheimer’s, uh, uh, dementia. And if y’all wanna know how I know, because my mother had first stage of Alzheimer’s before she passed, and these are the same things that she was doing. That’s how I know.
‌
And if there’s any nurses or doctors out there, y’all know it too. Y’all know this man have first stage of dementia, if not further longer than first stage. But this democrat party is willing to use this man, use this man just to keep power. And y’all think the Democrat Party care about anything. The Democrat Party don’t care about nothing or no one, obviously, but to keep power

Nancy Pelosi about a 103. She’s still up there trying to keep power. Chuck Schumer need to be gone. — But right now, I’m talking about the president of the United States of America

This man is sick. And his wife, the woman who’s supposed to be protecting him, the woman who’s supposed to be looking out for him and have his best interest at heart is allowing these people to use him just to keep whatever little power and title that she have. And y’all think I and wanna know why I’m saying she’s a disgusting piece of cr*p
‌
—Then you still have people out here talking about, well, Joe Biden, he’s the best president. He’s doing a good job. Doing a good job doing what?
‌
Because he can’t find himself off the stage. So when is he doing a good job? And I guess when he able to find himself off the stage, will I help? Y’all think that’s a good job? I can’t take these people serious.
‌
This is why I don’t take Biden supporters serious because these people are so filled with hate and anger against Trump that they’re willing to put their money and their best behind a man that can’t even find himself off stage. —This is disgusting. And y’all wanna tell me that Joe Biden on June 27th won’t get up there and have an hour and a half debate with Donald Trump.
‌
Y’all know god damn where he gonna be on so many energy drinks. He gonna be so hyped on energy drinks. That come on now. Let’s not play like he ain’t gonna be hyped on energy drinks or something. But these people are disgusting and would do anything to keep power.
‌
It is what it is.”

Bob Good Primary Battle Headed to Recount

Rep. Bob Good (R-VA), the Freedom Caucus chairman, appeared to have lost his Tuesday primary race to the Trump-backed Virginia State Sen. John McGuire by half a percent, or 327 votes, with 98 percent of the vote counted.

While McGuire claimed victory late Tuesday night, the margin is narrow enough that, under Virginia election procedures, election officials are likely to conduct an automatic recount.

Good thanked his supporters in an X post for their dedication to fighting “the DC swamp.”

The Virginia Fifth District race has split the right. Good’s supporters have pointed to his staunchly conservative legislative record; opposition has centered on his support for the Floridian Gov. Ron DeSantis’s presidential bid against the former President Donald Trump and his role in organizing the former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s ouster.

The U.S. Has No Viable Iran Policy

The U.S. Has No Viable Iran Policy

Recent Western moves do nothing but encourage the Islamic Republic to escalate its nuclear program.

Six years after President Donald Trump withdrew from the nuclear agreement with Iran, known as the JCPOA, and almost four since his successor failed to rejoin it, the United States still has no viable Iran policy.

If the metric of success is defined by denying Iran nuclear weapons capability, then the policy has been a failure: Iran’s nuclear program is steadily advancing. As the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)’s director Rafael Grossi pointed out in his statement to the body’s Board of Governors on June 3, Iran continued to increase its stockpile of uranium enriched up to 60 percent (far above the limit of 3.67 percent agreed in the JCPOA). Iran, according to Grossi, also failed to cooperate fully with the IAEA in ensuring transparency over its centrifuges and in resolving the outstanding safeguard issues concerning past suspicious activities. Grossi seemed to be particularly worried about public statements in Iran hinting at possible changes to Iran’s nuclear doctrine—i.e. prospects of weaponization.

All of these transgressions have led America’s European allies (and fellow signatories of the JCPOA) —the UK, France and Germany—to move a censure of Iran at the IAEA meeting in Vienna on the week of June 3. The relevant resolution, tabled by the European trio, was adopted by 20 votes in favor (mostly Western nations), two against (China and Russia) and 12 abstentions (mostly Global South nations).

As expected, and consistently with its track record, Iran reacted by escalating its nuclear activities by operating dozens of additional advanced centrifuges at the Natanz enrichment site and announcing that it will install more centrifuges at its Fordow and Natanz sites. Further, according to the U.S. intelligence community global threat assessment, Iran could increase the enriched uranium stockpile to 90 percent (weapons grade).

These steps by Iran, in turn, prompted further condemnation from the UK, France and Germany in a statement on June 15, which included a warning that Iran is bound by the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) to secure full cooperation with the IAEA on the safeguards.

Such an escalation may lead to the Iranian dossier being forwarded to the UN Security Council and the enactment of the sanction snapback—a mechanism enshrined in the JCPOA that enables any signatory to reimpose the UNSC sanctions in case of Iran’s non-compliance. That, in turn, could prompt Iran to abandon the NPT, expel the IAEA inspectors, and make a dash to a nuclear weapon capability, if not a bomb itself.

Such a step would be popular among both the elite and broader public in Iran. Opinion polls show a noticeable shift: Almost 70 percent now support Iran possessing nuclear weapons. While in the past such positions were mostly defended by the ultra-hardliners such as Saeed Jalili, a former chief negotiator and currently a presidential candidate, today even more moderate figures, such as Kamal Kharrazi, the Supreme Leader’s adviser and minister of foreign affairs in the Mohammad Khatami government (1997–2005), no longer seem to rule out such an option.

According to the U.S.-based Arms Control Association’s Kelsey Davenport, if Iran made the decision to produce weapons-grade uranium in retaliation to the Western pressure, it could take up to one week to do so. After that, it would take Iran from six months to one year to build a bomb.

Such a development would put a stark dilemma before the U.S.: tolerate an Iranian bomb, or take military action to prevent one? The former option is politically unpalatable for any U.S. president, but the latter would ultimately require a full-scale invasion of a country four times the size of Iraq, with a military and network of allies and proxies  far stronger than Saddam Hussein’s. The operation would make the war in Iraq 20 years earlier pale by comparison.

Recognizing these risks, U.S. initially opposed a condemnatory resolution at the IAEA. The Biden administration is keen to keep the tensions with Iran in check, more so in the year of the American presidential election. To that end, Washington has engaged Tehran in an indirect dialogue, through Qatar and Oman, on a range of regional issues, and reportedly on the nuclear file too.

In the end, however, Washington succumbed to the pressure of its European allies as politically it could not afford to look “weaker” on Iran than London, Paris, and Berlin. It threw its weight behind the censure.

This was a mistake. As noted, Iran’s reaction to the resolution was one of defiance, and that defeats its very purpose to secure access to Iran’s nuclear program. Further, the resolution pushed Iran even closer to Russia and China—the three nations issued, for the first time, a joint statement rejecting the West-promoted censure, whereas in the past both Moscow and Beijing shared the West’s concerns over Iran’s nuclear program.

Moreover, some of Iran’s neighbors, who also happen to be Washington’s key partners in the Middle East, such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, abstained in the vote, signaling their preference for seeking diplomatic solutions to Iran’s nuclear program. Significantly, the number of those who voted in favor dropped from 26 to 20 compared with the last time such a censure was adopted (in 2022), while the number of abstentions increased from five to 12. This trajectory shows that the Western efforts at isolating Iran are faltering.

A far better course of action for the U.S. would be to rejoin the JCPOA or negotiate a realistic alternative agreement based on the same premises—curbs on Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief. That would allow Washington to focus on national security challenges that matter a great deal more than Iran, such as fixing the border with Mexico, pushing for a negotiated end to the war in Ukraine, and focusing on America’s only geopolitical peer competitor—China.

What Kind of Conservative Will Trump II Be?

What Kind of Conservative Will Trump II Be?

The former President, despite some long standing preferences, is not a predictable ideologue.

Credit: BRYAN R. SMITH/AFP via Getty Images

If the former President Donald Trump returns to the White House, a big question will be what kind of conservative he will be in a second term. Many of his strongest supporters would like to see him permanently shift the Republican Party in a more populist and nationalist direction.

Trump made some progress toward this goal in his first term, nudging the GOP away from George W. Bush’s positions on trade, immigration, and foreign policy. But he did not make an entirely clean break in either personnel or policy. His biggest accomplishments were a tax cut, a conservative majority on the Supreme Court, and a successful military campaign against ISIS.

You could quibble with whether the Jeb Bushes of the world would have stood by Brett Kavanaugh or nominated someone as conservative as Amy Coney Barrett to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg so close to an election where Democrats were leading in the polls. That was the difference between the reversal of Roe v. Wade and the disappointments of the last three Republican administrations.

Otherwise, Trump’s record was arguably not that different in the big picture than any other more or less successful Republican presidents would have been. Hearing Trump talk about corporate tax cuts and more high-skilled immigration raises the possibility that not much would change in a second term. His endorsements in Republican primaries remain all over the map. It’s worth noting that the main candidate in the 2024 GOP presidential race for reverting to the pre-Trump party served in his administration.

For this reason among many others—the 22nd Amendment would make Trump ineligible to run again in 2028—a lot is riding on the vice presidential pick. Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) is a more ideologically consistent Trumpist than the former president himself. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) has traveled in that direction in recent years, although he has a record on foreign policy and immigration that ought to give populists pause. Other options are even more conventional than Mike Pence.

But a president can transform a party without being the perfect embodiment of everything his strongest supporters would like to see. Ronald Reagan was far more ideological than Trump, much better read on political philosophy and economy, and had considerably deeper roots in the conservative movement. The Gipper was nevertheless not everything his boosters from the Goldwaterites to the neoconservatives hoped for—except for an accomplished chief executive.

Reagan pursued conservative policies that whipped stagflation and helped win the Cold War. But he succeeded as much by ignoring his comrades as by heeding them. Not everyone who liked his tax cuts was happy with the size and scope of the federal government, to say nothing of the budget deficits, by the time he left office.

Conservatives, especially with the neo- prefix, who cheered Reagan’s moral clarity about communism often took a dimmer view of his diplomacy and arms control agreements with the Soviet Union. He believed in a strong military—used sparingly. None of this prevented an idealized version of Reaganism from taking over the Republican Party, even if two Bushes got to be president.

This idealized Reaganism was in many respects inferior to the real thing. But it has had considerable staying power. Moreover, it is instructive for Trump.

Unlike Reagan, Trump’s most consistent political positions have been the sense that foreigners take unfair advantage of the United States, only with the help of our own government in Washington and the American political elite. This informs his populism and nationalism, though it is not a sufficient basis for a new conservatism in itself.

Otherwise, Trump has at times fancied himself a moderate business Republican and paid protection money to New York Democrats. He was briefly Jesse Ventura’s instrument for challenging Ross Perot for control of the Reform Party by way of running against Pat Buchanan, 16 years before winning the Republican nomination and the White House on a platform of lightly secularized Buchananism.

It is possible that Florida’s Gov. Ron DeSantis was ready to keep this movement going, though by the crucial juncture of the Republican primaries the choice was Trump or Nikki Haley. Truer believers than Trump himself will staff his White House if he is able to beat President Joe Biden.

That’s not nothing. We don’t know for a certainty what Trump will do about Ukraine or whom he will pick for secretary of state. He shows political creativity on things like not taxing tips—which would at a minimum help make the GOP a more working-class party in substance rather than just rhetoric—but is also maddeningly inconsistent. If he sees what he thinks might be a good deal, he will take it, whether his negotiating partner is Paul Ryan, Chuck Schumer, or Kim Jong Un.

Your own view of what constitutes a good deal may differ. But for a certain corner of the right, it beats any available alternative.

CHIPS Is Broken. I’m Fixing It.

CHIPS Is Broken. I’m Fixing It.

The Biden administration has failed to get out of the way of American manufacturers.

Credit: Anna Moneymaker/Getty Images

Technology has drastically changed every aspect of how companies do business. For far too long, American manufacturing has been stuck in the past while our competitors invested in the future. As a result, countries like China have monopolized large parts of the chip and semiconductor industries—resulting in many American companies importing goods and technologies we could be making right here at home.

Two years ago, Congress passed the Chips and Science Act (CHIPS), a bill meant to move the semiconductor manufacturing industry from abroad to America. When first introduced, the bill was intended to allow American companies to apply for funding to support construction of commercial fabrication facilities (fabs), necessary materials, and manufacturing equipment facilities. Unfortunately, as the legislation made its way through Congress, it veered significantly off-track and included poison pills designed to implement Joe Biden’s woke environmental and DEI agenda. For example, the final bill that was signed into law included billions in taxpayer dollars to support research and development at the National Science Foundation. It also included provision after provision of mandates related to DEI hiring plans, investment in “disadvantaged” or “underserved” populations, and environmental justice efforts in its pursuit of a new semiconductor supply chain.

All of this red tape has predictably caused significant delays in the implementation of the CHIPS program. In fact, these policies, and subsequent funding eligibility requirements, have slowed implementation of the bill to a near halt. In the last six months, three of the major chip makers in the world have delayed construction of new fabs in the U.S. due to the onerous requirements created by the bill and the unnecessary delay of funding. Several companies are saying 2028 is the earliest they will be able to break ground under the current legislation.

While the CHIPS Act was meant to shore up domestic manufacturing, the Biden administration recently announced they would use some of the funding to produce semiconductors in Kenya. Per the language of the bill, the Secretary of State is authorized to transfer money from the CHIPS Act to foreign aid accounts within the Department of State, USAID, and other agencies, to be used for vague semiconductor supply-chain purposes, as determined by the secretary. Essentially, the CHIPS Act established yet another foreign-aid slush fund to be used by the State Department for whatever they want. This is the opposite of an “America first” approach.

In short, taxpayers were sold a bag of goods with this $280 billion dollar bill that is doing exactly nothing to boost American production of these critical resources. To fix this, I have introduced a bill, the Chips Improvement Act, along with my colleague, Senator Mike Lee. The bill does two things. First, it removes every single one of the ridiculous regulations that have crippled manufacturing and brought the program to a screeching halt. Second, it prohibits the federal government from evaluating companies for grants based on whether they use DEI hiring initiatives, provide full time childcare or adult care, give housing vouchers, or institute “environmental justice efforts.” It is not the federal government’s job to impose these woke requirements on private industry, especially when there is so much money at stake.

The Chinese Communist Party is our top adversary, and they will not rest until they have overtaken the United States as the world’s top superpower. The days of kowtowing to our competitors are behind us—we have to show strength by putting American manufacturing first on the world stage. Under President Trump, American companies enjoyed low opposing tariffs, low taxes, low inflation, and significantly less red tape. This led many businesses to move their facilities from China and Mexico back to the United States. But with Joe Biden’s high taxes, crushing regulations, and soaring inflation, it’s often cheaper for companies to take their business elsewhere. This isn’t brain surgery. If you clear the way for businesses to manufacture and thrive in America, they will come.

The CHIPS Act has potential, but it needs reforms to become effective. Our country simply cannot afford to allow China to continue to out-compete us in technology and manufacturing over the next generation. By removing the woke regulations that have nothing to do with job creation and are causing significant delays, we can get government out of the way and allow this bill to do what it was designed to do: end American reliance on China.

Joe Scarborough and Mika Make Fools of Themselves Parroting White House Line About ‘Fake’ Footage of Feeble Biden (VIDEO)

Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski of MSNBC’s Morning Joe have become two of the biggest (and pathetic) media cheerleaders for Biden in recent months.

This week, they adopted the laughable White House messaging about images and videos of feeble Joe Biden being ‘cheap fakes’ and not representative of Biden’s actual physical and mental state.

They are actually telling Americans to ignore their eyes and ears and believe the ridiculous suggestion that Biden is just fine.

Transcript via NewsBusters:

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: The White House is slamming cheapfake videos spread by right-wing media which are edited to make President Biden look confused. We’ll go through the fight against clips with no context, and some edited and misleading…

JOE SCARBOROUGH: You know, the age issue for both of these candidates, that’s a real issue.

MIKA: Yeah.

SCARBOROUGH: So talk about the issue. You want to talk about it? I think everybody thinks both of these candidates are older than they’re comfortable with, both of them.

That said, make those issues, don’t make up others.

MIKA: Well, and also, I think when those on the right try to make it look like Biden is out of his mind, or the Wall Street Journal does a front-page piece saying Biden is completely slipping, and they don’t notice at the very same time that they’re covering Biden in this way that is misleading, Donald Trump is onstage talking about sharks and batteries, and really looks like he’s slipping….

SCARBOROUGH: Jonathan, Jonathan’s right. You have to start asking are these coming on high? When you have the same news organization doing what Jonathan just said, deliberately lying about a shot, cropping it in the way they know they’re lying to the readers.

Father Beats the Hell Out of Uber Driver After Finding Him Sexual Assaulting His Daughter in Backseat of Car

A Washington father came to the rescue and beat the Uber driver who was raping his daughter in the back seat of the car.

The Uber driver, 58-year-old Ahmed Ali, was arrested and charged with rape after he picked up a young, inebriated woman from a bar in Washington last weekend, took her to a secluded area and raped her.

According to court documents, Ali manipulated the Uber app to make it appear he dropped off the young woman at home, but he drove her to a secluded area near the Nisqually River.

The victim’s father went looking for his daughter after she didn’t return home and found her naked in the backseat of Ahmed Ali’s rideshare car. Ali’s pants were down as he scrambled to climb back in the front seat.

The girl’s father beat Ahmed Ali so badly that he needed medical attention. Two shots were reportedly fired.

Ahmed Ali is a father of five children. His family showed up to court to support him after he was caught raping a young who was too drunk to defend herself.

Ali is currently being held on a $100,000 bond as prosecutors prepare to file charges.

Uber said they removed Ahmed Ali’s access to the app.

“The driver’s behavior is appalling and has no place in our society or on the Uber platform. We take reports of this nature very seriously and removed the driver’s access to the platform as soon as we were made aware of the incident. We have a dedicated team standing ready to assist law enforcement with their investigation,” a spox for Uber said in a statement to Fox 13 Seattle.

Fox 13 Seattle reported:

The woman’s father and other relatives went looking for her after she didn’t return home and found her naked in the back seat of Ali’s car with the accused attempting to hold up his pants as he climbed to the front of the car.

As described in probable cause documents, the victim’s family attacked the Uber driver in an effort to stop him, during which at least two shots were fired. Ali, who was visibly wounded with bandages on his hands during his court appearance, was detained despite trying to flee and needing medical attention.

The disturbing nature of the allegations has led prosecutors to express concerns over the potential for violence should Ali be released. The court found probable cause for both the charges of second-degree rape and first-degree kidnapping, with the prosecution asking for a $100,000 bond.

Former Major Fundraiser for Obama Deserts Democrats and is Now Backing Donald Trump (VIDEO)

Allison Huynh is a former fundraiser for Obama who brought millions of dollars to his campaign and the Democrat party. Now those days are over.

Huynh is not only supporting Trump, she is selling off her prized collection of Democrat party artifacts including the original Obama ‘HOPE’ poster.

Her story is similar to Jacob Helberg, the Silicon Valley executive who used to give major financial support to Democrats but is now backing Trump.

FOX News reports:

Former Obama fundraiser disenchanted with Dems flips to Trump: Biden ‘asleep at the wheel’

An ex-Obama fundraiser who once raked in millions of dollars for the Democratic Party is none too happy with the direction of the country these days, telling Fox News she is so dismayed, she’s switching her vote to Trump.

“Biden has been asleep at the wheel,” Allison Huynh said Tuesday on “Fox & Friends First.”

“He’s allowed Big Tech as well as the looters to take over Silicon Valley. San Francisco has been the science experiment that’s gone awry. I wake up in the morning, there’s no grocery stores to go to, there’s no malls to take my teenage girls shopping to. The streets are not safe, there are more fentanyl users and dealers than high school students in our once great city,” she continued.

Huynh, along with her then-husband Google programmer Scott Hassan, helped raise millions of dollars for the Obama campaign in 2008, according to The New York Post…

She now describes herself as an independent who plans to vote for former President Trump this November. She even recently traveled to Mar-a-Lago to show support for Trump at a fundraiser.

Excerpt from ABC News:

Willie Mays, widely considered to be one of the greatest baseball players in the history of the game, has died at 93.

From his start in the Negro Leagues with the Birmingham Black Barons to winning rookie of the year with the New York Giants in 1951 and through 24 All-Star Game appearances, including one in his final season, Mays dazzled fans with his combination of power, speed and joy on the field. He was the personification of a ‘five-tool’ player, excelling at the five basic skills of baseball: throwing, fielding, power-hitting, hitting for average, and base running.

Known as “the Say Hey Kid” – the moniker’s origin has remained ambiguous – Willie Howard Mays Jr. was born in Westfield, Alabama, on May 6, 1931. He was a star athlete in many sports in high school and played with the Black Barons starting at 16 years old. He signed with Major League Baseball’s New York Giants after high school graduation two years later and won Rookie of the Year his first season. Mays was named the National League MVP twice, in 1954 and 1965, and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1979.
