CNN host Jake Tapper said that according to the current polling, President Joe Biden is a “drag on the ticket.”

Tapper made the remarks while speaking to Democrat Senator Chris Murphy during Sunday’s episode of “State of the Union.”

Tapper began, “So you noted that Biden had had to campaign in addition to being leader to the free world, let’s talk about the campaign because Trump was in battleground Michigan last night making a pitch to African-American voters.”

“Polls show Biden trailing Trump in key battleground states and polling well behind your senate colleagues who are running for reelection,” Tapper continued. “Look at this New York Times poll from last month. Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin is up nine points in Wisconsin. Biden’s only up two points. Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey up five in Pennsylvania, Biden’s down three, Arizona Congressman Ruben Gallego, running for Senate in Arizona, up four, Biden down seven. Nevada, Senator Jacky Rosen up two years in Nevada, Biden’s down 12.”

“How can you look at this, these statistics, these numbers, and not conclude that Joe Biden is a drag on the ticket?” Tapper asked Murphy.

Murphy replied, “Oh, that’s not going to be the case.”

“But look, look at the numbers,” Tapper said.

Murphy fired back, “That’s one poll.”

“You are happy for your colleagues, I’m sure, but Biden is underpolling all of them,” Tapper insisted.

Murphy shot back, “That’s one poll. I can also show you 60 other polls that show that Joe Biden is in the lead. There are many polls in swing states that show Joe Biden has a small lead. This is going to be a close race. There’s no doubt about it. But what we have consistently seen is that Democrats are outperforming polls because we’re seeing a surge of turnout, especially young people who are freaked out that Republicans led by Donald Trump are going to take away their right to reproductive healthcare, are going to destroy our democracy.”

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel interviewed Joe Biden and Barack Obama.

Biden continued his attack on the US Supreme Court, calling it “out of kilter.”

According to a report from Breitbart News, “The former Doctor Who star has a long history of pandering to queer identity politics and has frequently been seen hoisting the transgender pride flag, cavorting with drag queens, and voicing his support for the gay community.”

After the interview aired, Perkins issued a pathetic apology on social media.

The incident occurred during the third quarter of the match when Clark, showing her usual agility and speed, went in for a layup.

Reese, seemingly aiming to block the shot, swung her elbow with such force that it hit Clark’s head, resulting in the player falling.

The referees intervened, reviewing the video footage before categorizing the foul as flagrant 1. However, this decision has been met with criticism from fans and commentators alike, many of whom believe that the severity of Reese’s action warranted a higher penalty.

A flagrant foul, penalty 1, is when a player makes unnecessary contact with an opponent that could cause injury. This is considered a dangerous play that indicates a disregard for the opponent’s safety or an intent to harm.

According to the NBA:

Referees may use replay whenever they are not reasonably certain whether a foul meets the criteria for a flagrant foul.  Previously, the foul had to be called flagrant on the floor in order to initiate instant replay.

The definition for a flagrant foul is:

Flagrant Foul Penalty 1: Unnecessary contact committed by a player against an opponent
Flagrant Foul Penalty 2: Unnecessary and excessive contact committed by a player against an opponent

When a flagrant foul call is made, referees conduct a review and consider the following:

Whether the foul call be categorized as a flagrant 1 or flagrant 2 (thus ejection) or stay as a common foul or changed to a technical foul
Whether any other players committed unsportsmanlike acts immediately prior to and/or immediately following the foul.

Republican House Intelligence Committee Chair Mike Turner has warned that the United States has hit its “highest level of a possible terrorist threat.”

Turner gave a dire warning on Sunday’s episode of Face the Nation.

Host Margaret Brennan asked Turner about the eight Tajik nationals who were arrested in the United States last week and were found to have ties to ISIS. All of them had entered through Biden’s open southern border.

Brennan asked if there had been an “active terror plot,” but Turner said that he could not confirm the details of the arrests.

President Biden’s open border policies have put the United States at its greatest risk of a terrorist attack since 9/11.

“But what’s important about these reports and what we’re seeing, especially in conjunction with Director [Christopher] Wray’s public statements, that we are at the highest level of a possible terrorist threat, that the administration’s policies have absolutely directly related to threats to Americans,” Turner said.

The congressman added that the threat is “no longer speculative” and “no longer hypothetical.”

“We have actual administration officials stepping forward and certainly our committee and our committee members have concurred on the intelligence that we’re seeing. That as a result of the administration’s policies allowing people to cross the border unvetted, we have terrorists that are actively working with inside the United States that are a threat to Americans,” he said.

FBI Director Christopher Wray told a Senate committee earlier this month that the U.S. has seen “threats from foreign terrorists rise to a whole ‘nother level after October 7.”

A New Hampshire teacher has been fired after taking a student to get an abortion behind her parents’ backs.

The teacher, who has not been publicly named, called in sick while claiming to have food poisoning. Instead, they were taking the student, who is also unnamed, to get the procedure, according to a redacted New Hampshire Department of Education investigative report.

According to the report, the teacher admitted that they had been “conversing with the student for 2.5 weeks regarding the medical appointment” and “found the facility for the student to have the medical procedure so that they knew it was a safe facility.”

Education Commissioner Frank Edelblut released the report after being criticized for statements he made regarding the alleged inappropriate behavior of public school employees.

The NH Journal reports, “Edelblut declined to comment on the report. The details are scant, and no one in authority would speak to NHJournal on the record about the incident. The names of the school, administrators, and teacher are all redacted, as is the identity of the student.”

Live Action noted, “While the report does not specify whether or not the student was a minor, New Hampshire law states that parents must be notified 48 hours before a minor gets an abortion. Lawmakers have tried recently to enshrine abortion as a constitutional right in the state, but those attempts have repeatedly failed.”

New Hampshire State Rep. Erica Layon issued a statement responding to the news, obtained by Live Action, which said, “I am horrified to hear that a teacher in our New Hampshire schools felt the right way to help a pregnant student who felt unsupported in her pregnancy was to research abortion facilities and call out sick to take a student to an abortion rather than to help her speak with her parents and find support from her family.”

“By taking the rightful place of that student’s parents, this teacher denied her family the opportunity to step up and support her. Undermining families should not be taken lightly, and assuming the worst of parents is a dangerous precedent,” Rep. Layon added.

The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty has announced it is challenging a scholarship program in the Beloit, Wisconsin, school district for being racist and discriminatory.

“The district’s race-based GYO program is patently unconstitutional and illegal under decades-old United States Supreme Court precedent and other laws,” explained WILL associate counsel Cara Tolliver.

“Citizens ought to demand more from their elected government officials—even more so for those charged with the care and education of children. Given the ongoing teacher shortage, the district should be welcoming all qualified scholarship candidates, not foreclosing teaching incentives on the irrelevant and unlawful basis of a human being’s skin pigmentation or ethnic make-up.”

At issue, WILL reported, is the district’s “Grow Your Own Multicultural Teacher Scholarship Program.”

“According to numerous publicly available documents and other materials, the district solicits contributions from employees and board members to fund racially discriminatory teaching scholarships for students and staff. GYO scholars receive up to $20,000 ($5,000 per year for four years) in addition to mentoring services.”

The program, however, has a racist agenda.

“The district uses the scholarships to train and recruit new ‘teacher[s] who look like’ certain students, and so the program extends only to members of certain racial minority groups preferred by the district,” WILL explained.

“The district’s race-based GYO program violates numerous anti-discrimination prohibitions, including the United States Constitution and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. WILL warns of further action if the district insists on maintaining this unlawful program.”

The report explained the scholarship scheme is part of the district’s commitment “to ensure a diverse professional teaching workforce” so that students can “see[] and be[] taught by a teacher who looks like them.”

The program’s privileged characteristics are “Black/African American,” “Native American/Alaskan,” “Asian,” and “Hispanic/Latinx.”

The legal team documented further that the school uses public resources, time and employees in running the program.

“In fact, the district solicits funding from its employees and Board members through direct payroll deductions and other available options and has offered incentives for paid-time-off to staff members who donate to the GYO fund,” it reported.

As she treads the cancer treatment labyrinth of hopes and fears, Catherine, Princess of Wales, announced Friday she will make her first public appearance on Saturday since January surgery revealed she had cancer.

In March, the princess ended weeks of speculation about her health by announcing in a video posted to social media platform X that she was being treated for cancer. Since then, she has remained very private.

On Saturday, the Trooping the Color ceremony is held to mark the king’s official birthday.

King Charles, who is also battling cancer, will be there, as will Prince William and Kate’s children, George, 10, Charlotte, 9, and Louis, 6, who have been largely out of the public’s view since their mother’s diagnosis. according to NBC.

Plans call for the family to arrive in a carriage, watch the ceremony, and then appear on the royal balcony for a Royal Air Force flyover.

Kate’s post said she would make some appearances in the coming weeks, but cautioned that everything depends on her health, noting her treatment will continue for “a few more months.”

But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well,” she wrote.

“On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home,” she wrote.

Kate said Saturday is the start of a gradual process, if all should go as she hopes, which is not certain.

“I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet,” she wrote.

“I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal. Thank you so much for your continued understanding, and to all of you who have so bravely shared your stories with me,” she wrote.

There will be only two commercial breaks.

Even with the assistance of the CNN moderator this will be a very difficult task for Joe Biden. The man continues to decline. He can barely speak when he has notes! Imagine how he will be without notes.

Team Biden will have to make sure they to up his pharmaceuticals that day.

There was no word on a mandatory drug test before the debate. This would only be fair and revealing. The American public deserves this. It will never happen.

Honduras plans to construct a mega prison similar to El Salvador’s “Terrorism Confinement Center” (CECOT) to tackle severe crime and gang issues. This facility, located on an island, will be the only island prison colony in the Western Hemisphere.

Honduras is one of the most violent countries in the world, largely due to gang activity. Both MS-13 and the 18th Street gangs are active, with estimates suggesting up to 40,000 gang members in the country. These gangs engage in extortion, street-level drug dealing, robbery, and murder-for-hire. In 2022, Honduras reported a homicide rate of 34 per 100,000 inhabitants, significantly higher than the global average. Pervasive corruption within law enforcement and the judiciary exacerbates the issue, making it difficult to prosecute criminals and maintain public safety. This environment of fear and violence leads to severe social and economic impacts, causing widespread displacement as many citizens flee gang-related threats. This is one of the drivers of illegal immigration to the United States.

The Latin American war on crime began with El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, who constructed the Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT), which opened in 2023. This massive facility, designed to hold up to 40,000 inmates and be completely inescapable, is operated by the guards, not the inmates. Under the tightest security and surveillance, including drones and cell phone jammers, and located in a remote area, the prison is heavily guarded. It serves as a cornerstone of President Bukele’s aggressive anti-gang policies.

Individuals bearing gang tattoos were arrested en masse, accounting for about 2% of the population. The most violent criminals, including murderers and rapists, received sentences as long as 700 years. CECOT serves as a cornerstone of President Bukele’s aggressive anti-gang policies, which have led to a significant crackdown on criminal activities and mass arrests of suspected gang members.

This approach has been controversial, drawing criticism for potential human rights abuses but also praise for significantly reducing crime rates. As a result, the country’s murder rate dropped from one of the worst in the world to one of the lowest. Showing their appreciation for the country’s newfound safety, the populace reelected President Bukele in a landslide for a second term.

Following El Salvador’s example, other countries in the region, such as Honduras and Ecuador, have adopted similar tough measures to combat crime and gang violence.

Both El Salvador and Honduras have designated gang members as terrorists. Honduran President Xiomara Castro has been pushing tougher measures against crime since taking office. Less than a year into her term, she realized that the existing legal framework was insufficient to combat gangs effectively. Consequently, like El Salvador’s President Bukele, Castro declared a state of exception in several parts of the country, including the capital. This declaration temporarily suspended certain constitutional rights and liberties, such as freedom of movement, assembly, and association, and allowed for increased police and military presence and powers.

The state of exception aims to provide security forces with greater flexibility to combat gangs and criminal organizations, permitting more aggressive tactics in arresting and detaining suspected gang members and other criminals without the usual legal constraints. Following El Salvador’s example, Honduras proposed building a mega prison to alleviate overcrowding in its notorious prison system, known for poor conditions and frequent violence. By centralizing high-risk inmates in a heavily secured facility, the Honduran government hopes to isolate gang leaders and disrupt their operations, potentially reducing violence and criminal activities both inside and outside the prisons. Honduras might seek international funding and support for this project, similar to El Salvador’s approach, which has received backing from countries interested in regional stability.

The third country which is waging war on crime is Ecuador. The country has nearly collapsed due to a surge in crime caused by narcotraffickers from Colombia and other countries using Ecuador as a shipping port to reach US markets by sea. Its strategic location between major drug-producing countries Colombia and Peru has made Ecuador a significant transit point for cocaine smuggling, attracting powerful drug cartels and increasing gang activity within the country.

Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa was elected due to his strong anti-crime stance. Since taking office in November 2023, he has declared an “internal armed conflict” against drug gangs and implemented a state of exception, similar to the measures taken by El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele. Noboa’s security plan includes expanding military and police authority, constructing new high-security prisons, and deporting foreign prisoners to reduce prison overcrowding. His tough approach on crime has resonated with voters, who want to live in safety.

The citizens of El Salvador, Honduras, and Ecuador have been pushed to the breaking point by rampant crime and have voted in governments willing to crack down aggressively on criminal activities. All three countries recognized that arresting criminals, locking them away, and using lethal force when necessary can be an effective strategy for dealing with crime. A significant percent of crimes are committed by repeat offenders, so incarcerating violent criminals in El Salvador’s mega prison or Honduras’ planned prison island is expected to cause crime rates to plummet.
