President Trump will celebrate his birthday and deliver remarks during a sold-out event at Club 47 in West Palm Beach, Florida tonight.

The President is 78 today, and unlike 81-year-old Joe Biden, he can walk, talk, and lead this country.

On Thursday, June 13, YouTuber and wrestler Logan Paul released a near-hour-long podcast episode featuring the former President Donald Trump. The video received over 2 million views in one day on YouTube alone. 

Paul, along with co-host Mike Majlak, used the opportunity to sit down with Trump and ask him a wide spectrum of questions.

Upon entering  the studio, Trump handed his hosts MAGA hats along with t-shirts emblazoned with his mug shot and the phrase “Never Surrender.” Paul remarked to the former president: “You’re a gangster!”

The trio discussed how the Trump campaign managed to raise tens of millions of dollars following Trump’s conviction in New York earlier this month. “Fundraising numbers are sort of like a poll, right?” Trump said. “I don’t think there’s ever been that much money raised that quickly.”

Trump touched on his upcoming debate with Biden on June 26. He said of the hosts at CNN, with whom he has a rocky history, “I think they’re going to try to be fair, as fair as they can be. But I think there has to be a debate.” When asked if he thought the network would treat him fairly, Trump responded, “I think there’s a ten percent chance.”

Paul and Majlak questioned Trump about the ongoing war in Ukraine and the conflict in Gaza. The former president maintained that the war in Ukraine “would have never happened if I were president…. And October 7 would have never happened.” Trump emphasized how important it is to “get along” with global leaders such as Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong Un, and Xi Jinping: “We were in no danger from them [when I was president], and we were in serious danger before I got there.”

Paul even asked Trump about the possible existence of aliens. In true Trump fashion, the former president segued into a discussion of the border: “Am I a believer? No. I probably can’t say I am. I’ve never been convinced. I know there are illegal aliens out there, but those are the ones that come through the border. We have plenty of them.” 

According to Newsweek, the Trump campaign had approached Paul with a request to get on “IMPAULSIVE.” Paul has subsequently reached out to President Biden with an invitation to also appear on the podcast to provide his audience with “both sides” of the debate going into the 2024 election. Biden has yet to respond.

With the 2024 elections quickly approaching, both Trump and Biden are seeking out Americans to draw into their respective camps. Trump seems to be pushing for the youth vote. A collaboration with Paul worked for Vivek Ramaswamy last year, and it appears to be working for Trump, too.

House Armed Services Committee (HASC) approved an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2025.

The amendment H.R. 8070 will automatically register all draft-age male U.S. residents with the Selective Service System for a possible military draft, based on information from other Federal databases.

This new system of automatic draft registration would replace the existing system, in place since 1980, in which young men have the freedom to decide whether or not to sign up for the draft.

According to People’s World, the automatic draft registration proposal was initiated by the Selective Service System (SSS) as part of its annual budget request to Congress. Introduced by Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-Pa.), it was “wholeheartedly” endorsed by HASC Chair Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), and approved by voice vote of the full committee without audible opposition.

The amended bill states:

Automatic Registration: The Military Selective Service Act (50 U.S.C. 3801 et seq.) is amended by striking section 3 (50 U.S.C. 3802) and inserting the following new section 3:

“SEC. 3. (a)(1) Except as otherwise provided in this title, every male citizen of the United States, and every other male person residing in the United States, between the ages of eighteen and twenty-six, shall be automatically registered under this Act by the Director of the Selective Service System.

“(2) This section shall not apply to any alien lawfully admitted to the United States as a nonimmigrant under section 101(a)(15) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1101) for so long as he continues to maintain a lawful nonimmigrant status in the United States.

The bill was approved in the House with a vote of 217 to 199. Among the votes, 211 Republicans supported the measure, while Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA), Thomas Massie (KY), and Matt Rosendale (MT) voted no.

196 Democrats voted against the bill, with 6 breaking ranks to vote in favor. The legislation now advances to the Senate for further deliberation.

Today, the House passed H.R. 8070, the Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2025. This legislation is designed to enhance our national security and military readiness with a special focus on quality of life for our military community. H.R. 8070 authorizes a 19.5% pay raise for junior enlisted servicemembers while providing a 4.5% pay raise for other service members. Importantly, this legislation includes three amendments from Congressman Huizenga that address NATO funding, arctic security, and mitigating American military data from being siphoned, exposed, or shared with Communist China. H.R. 8070 passed the House by a vote of 217-209.

“This legislation strengthens our military readiness and capabilities while improving housing, childcare, and the overall quality of life for the men and women serving in our Armed Forces,” said Congressman Bill Huizenga. “Importantly, this legislation takes steps to root out waste, saving taxpayers $30 billion by cutting inefficient programs, obsolete weapons systems, and unnecessary Pentagon bureaucracy. Additionally, this bill blocks the Biden Administration’s reduction in U.S. Special Forces while stopping the Biden Administration from transferring terrorists currently housed in Guantanamo Bay to prisons in the United States. Lastly, this legislation includes multiple amendments I have authored to enhance our national security and counter aggressive actions taken by Russia and China.”

This year’s House version of the NDAA included three amendments from Congressman Huizenga:

Expresses the sense of Congress that each NATO member state should commit, at a minimum, 2% of its GDP to defense spending to ensure NATO’s military readiness. In 2022, only 7 of the 31 NATO member states met their obligations. Now, nearly all NATO countries have a plan to reach the 2% goal, however, there are still some that remain delinquent. Those countries are Canada, Portugal, Italy, Slovenia, Turkey, Spain, Belgium, and Luxembourg. There is the potential for this to be addressed at the upcoming NATO Summit held in Washington, D.C. next month.

Requires the Department of Defense to report to Congress building upon the restriction on DOD’s contact with the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) by detailing measures DOD is taking to mitigate the risk of the PLA gaining indirect knowledge of US Armed Forces’ equipment and operational tactics, techniques, and produces through interaction with the militaries of US allies and partners.
Requires a report to Congress on the military activities of the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China in the Arctic Region. Additionally, the amendment requests detailed information on the Arctic Council as well as the newly appointed U.S. Ambassador-at-large for the Arctic Region and how the U.S. plans to engage with other Council members. Recently, the Arctic has seen an uptick in activity from both the Russians and the Chinese Communist Party. This amendment is designed to refocus the effort with our strategic partners and allies to prevent expansion of both China and Russia in the region.

You and I have the right to own much more than AR-15s and bump stocks. Liberals are outraged after the United States Supreme Court upheld the 2nd Amendment and struck down the bump stock ban.

In a loss for the Biden regime and big win for 2nd Amendment right advocates, the Supreme Court on Friday crushed a federal ban on bump stocks.

The Court ruled in the case of Garland vs. Cargill that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) exceeded its constitutional authority in creating the regulation. The vote was 6-3, with the six conservatives joining the majority and the three leftists in dissent.

To add insult to injury for liberals, the opinion was offered by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. He said that accessory does not mean that a firearm equipped with it meets the “machine gun” definition under federal law.

“This case asks whether a bump stock — an accessory for a semiautomatic rifle that allows the shooter to rapidly reengage the trigger (and therefore achieve a high rate of fire) — converts the rifle into a ‘machinegun.’ We hold that it does not,” the great Thomas wrote.

Justice Sonia “Wise Latina” Sotomayor was quite displeased and authored an angry dissent.

“When I see a bird that walks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, I call that bird a duck,” she whined. NBC News reports that Sotomayor was so triggered that she took the rare step of reading a summary of her dissent in court.

Liberals were outraged. One X user commented:

Democide is the term used to describe a government killing its own citizens. Millions of innocent people have lost their lives due to the evil of their own government. The 2nd Amendment functions as the final check and balance between a free people and their government, ensuring we do not become a statistic.

Without the right to defend ourselves from any enemy, foreign or domestic, we are not truly free we are only as “free” as our government allows us to be at the time.

Of course, Joe Biden wants to censor and silence conservative media.

Joe Biden counted on social media to censor Hunter Biden’s laptop from hell in October 2020 shortly before the presidential election.

Social media giants blocked the Trump camp’s “October surprise” and censored the laptop from hell.

Elon Musk’s X won’t censor the video so Biden’s camp is panicking.

The New Right has never been bigger… on TikTok. 

Nigel Farage is raking in millions of views and approaching 700,000 followers on the platform as his political challengers struggle to make similar inroads. The Labour Party as a whole has less than 200,000 followers and the Tories have barely mustered 60,000.

Donald Trump, who only joined the platform on June 1st, has more than 6 million followers, far outpacing President Biden’s campaign page which only sports 375,000 (Biden does not own a personal TikTok.)

Trump’s first two videos were star-studded affairs. First, UFC chief Dana White introduced the former president before Kid Rock’s music blasted over the speakers and a montage of Trump’s appearance at UFC 302 played on the screen. That short clip earned the president more than 125 million views on the platform. 

Two weeks passed before Trump posted another high-profile romp, this time with influencer Logan Paul. The two men stare menacingly at each other, pretending to square off before a boxing match. That clip is approaching 100 million views on the app in less than 48 hours. 

Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci criticized Trump following the unexpected appearances. The Trump-critic couldn’t help but note that Trump had spent much of his time in office lobbying for an outright ban of the very platform he was now embracing: “And at the spur of the moment, if it serves his personal interests, forget about the country. It’s got to serve his personal interest. He’ll flip on a dime.”

Though his presence on the platform runs counter to prior policy positions, even Scaramucci couldn’t help but praise Trump’s “good political instincts” by joining the viral video platform, which saw downloads near 1 billion in 2023 alone.

Whatever qualms American conservatives hold with the app, Farage and Trump’s presence on the app is a sobering reality of the power and bandwidth of TikTok. The Chinese-owned and operated social media hub was the most downloaded app in the world between 2018 and 2022.

Farage has had no such ideological misgivings to clean up with the platform and his profile on the app is growing rapidly by the day. There was Farage on Friday, smiling for the camera and singing Eminem, going viral in an environment once reserved only for dance videos and the forming grounds of youthful, left-wing political movements. 

In another viral hit shared by GB News broadcaster Darren Grimes, Farage gives a powerful speech on the decline of Britain overtop a down-pitched electronic track before a series of Farage’s most electric moments fill the screen. The video has more than 1 million views on TikTok (and nearly 300,000 on one X post alone.)

Reform UK press officer Matt Stevens told POLITICO that party officials were caught off guard with the recent success:

When we first went on to TikTok our views weren’t too good—but as we’ve grown as a party nationwide, the views have rocketed way ahead of any other platform and that’s surprised us because the demographic on TikTok is predominantly 15-to-24 year olds.

As one young staffer in that key demographic at The American Conservative put it: “Farage and Trump edits = Kino.” The numbers certainly back up that assertion. In an era where geriatric politicians seek desperately to connect with the youth vote, Farage and Trump have never been more meme-able.

Archaeologists at Founding Father George Washington’s former residence have made a fascinating discovery.

According to Mount Vernon’s website, archaeologists made an “unprecedented discovery” of pre-Revolutionary War artifacts including 35 bottles of perfectly preserved cherries and berries.

The museum said in a press release:

Archaeologists at George Washington’s Mount Vernon have unearthed an astounding 35 glass bottles from the 18th century in five storage pits in the Mansion cellar of the nation’s first president. Of the 35 bottles, 29 are intact and contain perfectly preserved cherries and berries, likely gooseberries or currants. The contents of each bottle have been carefully extracted, are under refrigeration at Mount Vernon, and will undergo scientific analysis. The bottles are slowly drying in the Mount Vernon archaeology lab and will be sent off-site for conservation.

This discovery follows a recent find in the cellar of two intact European-manufactured 18th-century glass bottles containing liquid, cherries, and pits. These archaeological finds are part of the landmark privately funded $40 million Mansion Revitalization Project at George Washington’s Mount Vernon.

Mount Vernon President & CEO Doug Bradburn said that he could never have imagined such a “spectacular” discovery:

Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine this spectacular archaeological discovery. We were ecstatic last month to uncover two fully intact 18th-century bottles containing biological matter. Now we know those bottles were just the beginning of this blockbuster discovery. To our knowlege, this is an unprecedented find and nothing of this scale and significance has ever been excavated in North America.

We now possess a bounty of artifacts and matter to analyze that may provide a powerful glimpse into the origins of our nation, and we are crossing our fingers that the cherry pits discovered will be viable for future germination. It’s so appropriate that these bottles have been unearthed shortly before the 250th anniversary of the United States.

These artifacts likely haven’t seen the light of day since before the American Revolution, perhaps forgotten when George Washington departed Mount Vernon to take command of the Continental Army. This means the bottles are extremely fragile and require the utmost care.

Mount Vernon Principal Archaeologist Jason Boroughs described many of the fruits as “perfectly preserved,” despite sitting there for around 250 years:

These extraordinary discoveries continue to astonish us. These perfectly preserved fruits picked and prepared more than 250 years ago provide an incredibly rare opportunity to contribute to our knowledge of the 18th-century environment, plantation foodways, and the origins of American cuisine.

The bottles and contents are a testament to the knowledge and skill of the enslaved people who managed the food preparations from tree to table, including Doll, the cook brought to Mount Vernon by Martha Washington in 1759 and charged with oversight of the estate’s kitchen.

Located in Virginia around 15 miles outside of Washington D.C., Mount Vernon was the 8,000 acre home of George Washington. It served as Washington’s residence for over 45 years and played a central role in his life. The estate has been meticulously preserved and remains an important symbol of American history and independence.

GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna on Friday afternoon said she will bring force an inherent contempt vote to the House floor after the DOJ declined to prosecute US Attorney General Merrick Garland.

“Under inherent contempt proceedings, the House or Senate has its Sergeant-At-Arms, or deputy, take a person into custody for proceedings to be held in Congress,” according to the National Constitution Center.

The Justice Department won’t prosecute Merrick Garland for contempt of Congress over the Biden audio tapes.

The House of Representatives on Thursday voted to hold Merrick Garland in criminal contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer previously argued that Joe Biden cannot assert executive privilege over the audio of his interview with Robert Hur because the transcript has already been publicly released.

Merrick Garland is doing everything he can to protect Joe Biden by withholding the audio tapes.

This classification effectively banned their possession and sale following the tragic 2017 Las Vegas shooting, where the shooter used bump stocks to increase his firing rate, resulting in 58 deaths and over 800 injuries​​.

Justice Neil Gorsuch, among others, highlighted concerns about the retroactive criminalization of bump stock owners who legally purchased the devices before the ban. He pointed out that up to half a million people could face felony charges, impacting their civil rights, including voting rights​​.

Recent surveys reveal a deeply divided American public on the topic of immigration, with many viewing it as a critical national issue. A Gallup poll conducted in February 2024 highlights that 28% of Americans now cite immigration as the most important issue facing the country, a significant increase from 20% the previous month. This marks the first time since 2019 that immigration has topped the list of national concerns​ (Politico)​.

The increased focus on immigration is largely driven by Republicans, with 57% identifying it as the top issue, up from 37% in January. This surge in concern coincides with heightened political debates and legislative battles over border policy, particularly the failure of a bipartisan border bill in Congress​.

A Pew Research Center survey indicates that a sizable majority of Americans (78%) view the influx of migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border as a serious problem, with 45% describing it as a crisis. Republicans are far more likely than Democrats to consider it a crisis (70% vs. 22%), reflecting deep partisan divides over the issue​​.

Public opinion on specific immigration policies also varies widely. For instance, 60% of Americans believe increasing the number of immigration judges and staff to expedite asylum decisions would improve the situation.

Despite these divisions, there is a notable consensus on some aspects of the immigration debate. APM Research Lab found that more than 40% of Americans think the country admits the right number of immigrants.

However, those wanting more or fewer immigrants are evenly split, with significant differences by political affiliation. Nearly half of Republicans believe immigration levels are too high, while a plurality of Democrats support increasing immigration​​.

Overall, the complexity of immigration as a national issue is reflected in the varied and often conflicting views of Americans. While economic opportunities and safety concerns drive much of the debate, the public remains divided on how best to address the challenges and opportunities presented by immigration.
