President Trump is speaking out on the security failures that nearly led to him getting assassinated and has revealed details of a conversation he had with Joe Biden following the attempt on his life.

As the Gateway Pundit reported, Trump was nearly assassinated almost two weeks ago during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, by a 20-year-old Democrat donor named Thomas Matthew Crooks. Even worse, we have since learned that had DEI-loving Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle afforded adequate security to Trump at the rally and allowed the agents to guard the roof Crooks shot from, the incident would have never happened.

Trump sat down alongside his running mate, Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), with Fox News’s Jesse Watters for an interview that aired Monday night but was taped on Saturday. During the interview, Trump weighed in on the security failures that nearly cost him his life and led to firefighter Corey Compertore’s death.

Trump expressed confusion about why he was allowed on stage in the first place, knowing there was suspicious activity.

“When you have a flat, open roof like that…How can somebody be up there?” Trump queried. “And they (the Secret Service) see him but don’t report him.”

“If they would have said wait 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes because we have a possible problem…I wish somebody would’ve done that because Corey would be alive,” he added.

Trump also mentioned to Watters that disgraced Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle visited him after getting shot but pointed out how she knew there were not enough agents.

The 45th President also called BS on Cheatle’s excuse of a ‘sloped roof’ being the reason it was left unguarded.

The heads of the Secret Service, FBI, and Department of Homeland Security have reportedly declined to testify on the second day of the Congressional hearing into the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.

The news was first reported by FOX News, which stated that the House Homeland Security Committee is currently holding its second hearing on the matter.

“The House, Homeland Security Committee, is holding the second Congressional hearing, looking into the attempted assassination of former President Trump. But for today’s hearing, heads of the Secret Service, FBI, and Homeland Security have all declined to testify. We are listening to it. We will bring you the news from it as it,” Fox News reported.

The witnesses for today’s hearing include Colonel Christopher L. Paris, Commissioner of Pennsylvania State Police, and Patrick Yoes, National President of the Fraternal Order of Police. However, Kim Cheatle, who was also expected to appear, did not show up for the hearing after announcing her resignation earlier.

“The PSP is responsible for investigating one homicide and two attempted homicides of rally attendees, both state crimes under Pennsylvania’s Crimes Code, as well as the use of force by a United States Secret Service (USSS) sniper,” Paris said in his opening statement.

“Conversely, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Federal Criminal Code, the FBI is responsible for investigating the attempted homicide of former President Trump. Due to these crimes stemming from the same sequence of events, the FBI and the PSP have combined investigative efforts. To date, over 100 interviews have been conducted and 1,000 pieces of evidence gathered.”

The Washington Times reported last week:

FBI Director Christopher A. Wray has declined the House Homeland Security Committee’s request for him to testify Tuesday on the federal investigation into the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump, a committee aide told The Washington Times.

Mr. Wray, however, has confirmed an appearance before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday.

The appearance is for the Judiciary’s annual FBI oversight hearing, but members plan to use it as an opportunity to question Mr. Wray about his agency’s investigation into the Trump assassination attempt.

The House Judiciary Committee has announced that it will hold another hearing tomorrow, July 24th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. ET. This hearing, titled “Oversight of the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” is set to scrutinize the FBI’s investigation into the assassination attempt against President Trump.

The focus will also extend to alleged ongoing politicization of the nation’s preeminent law enforcement agency under the direction of FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland.

A U.S. senator is demanding answers from the head of Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security to allegations there was a law enforcement agent assigned to the roof on which former President Trump’s shooter was perched, but abandoned that post because of “hot weather.”

In a Monday letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., wrote about the security failures of Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle.

“Additional whistleblowers have contacted my office with troubling information about the assassination attempt on former President Donald J. Trump,” Hawley began.

“Contrary to Director Cheatle’s public statements about the ‘safety’ of the sloped roof of the American Glass Research Building 6, one whistleblower with direct knowledge of Secret Service planning for the event alleges that there was supposed to be law enforcement presence on the roof that day.”

“In fact, the whistleblower alleges that at least one individual was specifically assigned to the roof for the duration of the rally, but this person abandoned his or her post due to the hot weather.”

Hawley also asked Mayorkas three pointed questions in the correspondence: “If the whistleblower’s allegations are accurate, when did the individual abandon the post?”

“Which law enforcement units were assigned to the roof?”

“Did any law enforcement personnel fail to report to their assigned stations that day?”

Also Monday, Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner scorched Cheatle for not having personally visited the site of the horror, nine days after the gunfire erupted July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Meanwhile, Tucker Carlson interviewed talk-show host Jack Posobiec, telling him: “At this point government should be presumed guilty until proven innocent.”

Posobiec noted: “I would say the burden of innocence is on the citizens and the burden of guilt is on the government.”

Carlson said of the Secret Service: “Common sense suggests this is screw-up after screw-up after screw-up which, put together, suggests an intentional series of screw-ups which would have allowed Trump to be murdered and whatever else would happen after that.

“So the fact that they haven’t explained themselves and haven’t been forced to explain, and I mean forced to explain themselves, tells you that things are totally out of control – that they can do anything, and nobody can do anything about it.”

Breaking – Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle resigned on Tuesday morning. This is one day after her evasive and repulsive testimony before Congress and 10 days after President Trump was shot on stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Cheatle failed in her primary job – to protect the President of the United States.

On Monday, Cheatle took full responsibility for the attempted assassination of Donald Trump and the murder of Trump rally Corey Comperatore.

Members of Congress, including Speaker Johnson, called for Cheatle to resign.

Harris is unopposed after having quickly announced her candidacy within hours of Joe Biden abruptly dropping out of the presidential race Sunday afternoon. Her campaign reports $81 million was donated in 24 hours to the newly minted Harris for President campaign.

The average viewership of 19.07 million over the four nights was slightly below 2020 average of 19.39 million, but three of the four nights did beat the last convention’s totals. However, Tuesday night saw a 24 percent decline from four years ago, bringing the entire average down.

The Reporter pointed out that Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game also aired Tuesday, which may have pulled away some viewers.

About 72 percent of the audience — 18.36 million — Thursday night was 55 and over.

Fox News led all outlets in viewership totals.

In a news release, the outlet said it took in three-quarters of the prime-time audience among the outlets.

Of the over 25 million who tuned in Thursday night, Fox attracted 10.3 million of them, making it the network’s most watched program of the year.

The previous high water mark of the year had been the June 27 CNN presidential debate between Trump and President Joe Biden, with Fox News’ simulcast drawing approximately 9.3 million viewers.

Fox crushed its rivals in its Thursday night coverage of the RNC convention.

NBC drew the next largest audience with 3.89 million; followed by ABC at 2.79 million; CNN, 1.97 million; CBS, 1.91 million, and MSNBC, 1.19 million.

Fox’s coverage drew nearly double the viewership of ABC, CNN, and MSNBC’s combined total of 5.95 million.

Axios pointed out, “While Nielsen includes data in its tally from those streaming the event on live TV, it does not include viewership data from those who may have watched the program on smaller devices or that tuned in via clips on social media.”
