Director Cheatle refuses to answer questions regarding Trump’s attempted assassination.

United States Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle testified before the House Oversight Committee on Monday morning.

She stonewalled during the interview. She refused to answer any pertinent questions! Cheatle did not answer any important questions and blamed it on “an ongoing investigation.”

She should resign immediately!

Cheatle appeared before the committee alone and under subpoena. She refused to answer questions on the failures of the Secret Service in the deadly assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump that left one man dead and three, including President Trump, injured.

Here is a partial transcript from today.

Director Cheatle (00:00) Thank you very much, Director Cheetle. We’ll now begin our five minutes questions, and I will begin. Just for the record, the Secret Service has an annual budget of around $3.1 billion, and I believe around 8,000 employees. Is that correct?

Director Cheatle (00:16) Yes, sir.

Chairman Comer (00:18) Obviously, there were many security failures on the day of the attempted assassination and leading up to that day. Let’s start with the building that the shooter used to shoot President Trump from. At any point Saturday, did the Secret Service have an agent on top of that roof?

Director Cheatle (00:35) Sir, I’m sure as you can imagine that we are just nine days out from this incident, and there’s still an ongoing investigation. And so I want to make sure that any information that we are providing to you as factual.

Chairman Comer (00:46) Okay. Why did the Secret Service not… Can you answer why the Secret Service didn’t place a single agent on the roof?

Director Cheatle (00:54) We are still looking into the advanced process and the decisions that were made.

The Democratic Party appears to be overwhelmingly rallying behind Kamala Harris after Joe Biden’s stunning decision to drop out of the presidential race.

Following a conference call on Sunday, all 50 Democratic state chairs confirmed that they would be supporting her candidacy following Biden’s endorsement of his vice-president.

Ken Martin, president of the Association of State Democratic Committees, said in a statement:

Following President Biden’s announcement, our members immediately assembled to unite behind the candidate who has a track record of winning tough elections, and who is a proven leader on the issues that matter to Americans: reproductive freedom, gun violence prevention, climate protection, justice reform, and rebuilding the economy. That person is our sitting Vice President Kamala Harris.

While many other Democrats have endorsed Harris in the immediate wake of Biden’s withdrawal, others have noticeably stayed quiet.

The most prominent of these include former President Barack Obama and former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, both of whom are yet to issue a formal endorsement.

On behalf of the American people, I thank Joe Biden for his extraordinary leadership as President of the United States and for his decades of service to our country.

I am honored to have the President’s endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination.

Speaking about foreign conflicts, J.D. Vance in his first outing as a VP nominee said that “sometimes, it is just none of our business and we ought to stay out of it,” throwing the ahistorical commentariat into a tailspin. 

It is so unusual and refreshing to see the senator from Ohio saying, in clear terms, that he cares more about his own country’s borders than faraway conflicts in distant foreign lands, that one tends to forget that this was the traditional foreign policy consensus of the American republic. In fact, “neutrality”  and balance of power was the traditional Anglo-American instinct throughout the 19th century, the last such era of multipolarity similar to the one we are entering. 

George Washington set this clear guideline in his Neutrality Proclamation of 1793, during the French revolutionary wars: “Whereas it appears that a state of war exists between Austria, Prussia, Sardinia, Great-Britain, and the United Netherlands, of the one part, and France on the other, and the duty and interest of the United States require, that they should with sincerity and good faith adopt and pursue a conduct friendly and impartial toward the belligerent powers.”

The trend was standard. It was continued by President Ulysses S. Grant during the Franco–Prussian War in the 1870s: “A state of war unhappily exists between France on the one side and the North German Confederation and its allies on the other side.” North Americans had kinship and ties on both sides, so he made another Proclamation of Neutrality barring the republic from choosing a side in the conflict. 

Theodore Roosevelt, who was absolutely interested in American power in Latin America, acted as a peace emissary in the Russo–Japanese War of 1904, trying to bring the belligerent sides on the table after declaring official neutrality in the conflict and announcing severe penalties for those who joined or lobbied for either side of the conflict. 

America wasn’t unique. Great Britain declared an official neutrality during the American Civil War, citing commercial interest and kinship on both sides of the belligerence, although without forbidding individuals to take part on either side per the dictates of their conscience. 

As I wrote, realism isn’t isolationism, but it is theater prioritization. Vance might end up as potentially the most consequential vice president in modern American foreign policy by reorienting our priorities. He might want to think about bringing the time-tested “proclamations of neutrality” to conflicts which are of no direct strategic interest to the U.S., including penalties for those who lobby for the U.S. to take a side.

When President Donald Trump faced an assassination attempt on July 13th, the world held its collective breath, waiting to see if he was ok.

President Trump immediately ducked down after the initial gunshots were heard.

As he emerged in the moments of chaos that followed, with blood flowing down his face and as Secret Service agents moved in to shield him, he raised his fist into the air and shouted, “Fight! Fight! Fight!”

The iconic moment of strength, determination, and courage resonated with people worldwide as a powerful sign of perseverance.

On Sunday, shortstop Taylor Walls of the Tampa Bay Rays hit a double. As he reached second base, he turned to the Rays’ dugout, held his fist in the air, and mouthed, “Fight! Fight! Fight!” in what appears to be a nod to President Trump.

Joe Biden delayed dropping out of the presidential race because he was concerned about Kamala Harris’s capability of defeating Donald Trump.

According to Axios, Biden and his advisors were reluctant to drop out of the race because they didn’t believe she was “up to” the job of winning the presidency.

The report states:

President Biden hesitated to drop his re-election campaign in part because he and his senior advisers worried that Vice President Kamala Harris wasn’t up to taking on Donald Trump, according to three Biden aides familiar with recent talks about his plans.

Biden, 81, ultimately decided to withdraw under pressure from the partyand endorsed Harris, but his private anxieties reflect broader questions among some Democratic leaders about Harris as their nominee this November.

This next week will be critical for Harris, 59, to prove doubters wrong as she moves quickly to try to clear the field of potential challengers for the Democratic nomination.

Meanwhile, those who spoke with the outlet also described the relationship between Biden and Kamala as tense:

The relationship between the vice president’s office and the West Wing has often been tense. White House aides sometimes felt Harris wasn’t a team player and stayed away from any task with risk.

But some Harris aides felt that the White House, particularly top aide Anita Dunn, wasn’t helpful to the vice president. At times, Harris aides suspected Biden’s team didn’t want to give Harris opportunities to shine to avoid her being seen as a viable alternative to Biden ahead of his re-election bid.

Despite these concerns, Joe gave a full-throated endorsement of Harris’s candidacy, claiming that making her his vice-president was the “best decision I ever made.”

Hunter Biden and “The Big Guy”

Hunter Biden has voluntarily dismissed his highly publicized ‘revenge porn’ lawsuit against Fox News Network, LLC, its parent company, Fox Corporation, and unidentified individuals associated with the network.

The lawsuit, which was filed in the New York Supreme Court last month, alleged that Fox News produced and disseminated a six-part miniseries titled “The Trial of Hunter Biden” that included unauthorized and intimate images of Biden.

The lawsuit, filed by Biden’s attorney Tina Glandian from Geragos & Geragos, APC, outlined that the miniseries, released on Fox Nation in October 2022, was a politically motivated campaign to “humiliate, harass, annoy, and alarm Mr. Biden, to tarnish his reputation, and for financial gain.”

The program featured actual emails and photos, including intimate images of Hunter Biden, which were allegedly used without his consent.

“The publication and dissemination of the Intimate Images in “The Trial of Hunter Biden” was not made in relation to a matter of legitimate public concern nor is it otherwise protected by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. On the contrary, the six-part mock trial is a fictionalized trial of a nonexistent case against Mr. Biden which was intended solely as entertainment and not as news,” according to the court document.

The lawsuit labeled the inclusion of these intimate images as a blatant violation of New York’s revenge porn laws.

“Fox knew that the majority of states had in effect laws against the nonconsensual disclosure of sexually explicit images and videos (also known as “revenge porn” laws),” according to the court document.

“Specifically, on information and belief, Fox knew that its use of the Intimate Images in “The Trial of Hunter Biden” would violate New York State’s revenge porn laws including New York Civil Rights Law Section 52-b and Penal Law Section 245.15 (making the unlawful dissemination or publication of an Intimate Image a class A misdemeanor), which had been in effect since September 21, 2019.”

The lawsuit claimed that the miniseries used hacked, stolen, and manipulated digital material intended to remain private and confidential, causing severe emotional distress, humiliation, and irreparable damage to his personal and professional reputation.

On Sunday, Hunter Biden’s legal team announced that they were dropping the lawsuit without prejudice. No official reason was provided.

This new development comes after Joe Biden’s recent decision to withdraw from the presidential race. Hunter Biden issued a statement shortly after his father’s announcement.

Joe Biden dropped from the 2024 presidential race on Sunday in a post on Twitter ‘X.’

His handlers posted the tweet for Joe.

The Biden White House staff later came out and said they found out about this important announcement a minute after it was posted on X.

What is also odd is that the announcement was not written on official letterhead.

And, internet sleuths noticed that the signature did not appear to be Joe Biden’s signature.

We still have not seen Joe Biden.

And so it happened that on ‘National Ice Cream Day’, July 21st, Joe ‘It’s Just my Brain’ Biden dropped out of the Presidential race.

That makes old Joe the first incumbent president who was not able to run for reelection since Lyndon Johnson 56 years ago.

After his surprise announcement, he also posted on X to endorse his Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democrat’s nominee.

While this was followed by support by some of the party’s bosses like Bill and Hillary Clinton, some others like Barak Obama have instead called for a ‘process‘

“We will be navigating uncharted waters in the days ahead. But I have extraordinary confidence that the leaders of our party will be able to create a process from which an outstanding nominee emerges.”

The Dem nomination race may not be over.

But some signs begin to emerge that the infighting among Dems maybe far from over.

Case in point, one Biden Mega-donor has rather shockingly announced he will not fundraise for the Democrats if Kamala Harris is the nominee.

New York Post reported:

“‘It’s one thing to vote for somebody; it’s another thing to raise millions of dollars for somebody; you have to really be in’, Morgan said.”

Joe Biden’s endorsement of Kamala is his fuck you to all who pushed him out.

The ‘godfather of Florida’s medical marijuana’ doesn’t think Harris has any chance of winning.

“‘If Trump World could pick anybody to run against, I think they pick her’, he said.”

He informed the Biden National Finance Committee that he was done fundraising for the Democrats.

Kamala Harris doesn’t have the confidence of one of Biden’s most relevant Mega-donors.

But Morgan went beyond, and stated that “Joe Biden’s endorsement of Kamala is his f–k you to all who pushed him out” – a reference of the challenges Kamala will face against Trump.

You have to be enthusiastic or hoping for a political appointment to be asking friends for money. I am neither.
