Biden-Harris Campaign Co-Chair Cedric Richmond Refutes Rumors of Joe Biden Dropping Out This Weekend: ‘Biden is Running, End of Story’

Screenshot: MSNBC

Biden-Harris campaign co-chair Cedric Richmond dismissed rumors that Joe Biden is considering withdrawing from the 2024 presidential race.

The Gateway Pundit reported on Thursday that influential Democrats such as Barack Obama, Chuck Schumer, and Hakeem Jeffries are doubting Biden’s viability. Behind the scenes, it is alleged that Schumer and Jeffries are working to sabotage Biden.

This claim is bolstered by the fact that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries have reportedly persuaded the DNC to delay its presidential nomination vote.

The Democrat National Committee said Wednesday they won’t hold their virtual roll call vote before August which leaves room for a coup.

According to Newsmax TV reporter Mark Halperin, Biden “plans to announce withdrawal from nomination as early as this weekend, with Sunday most likely.”

Biden is not expected to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris, nor will he resign from the presidency. Halperin suggested an open convention with Harris and about three other candidates. He mentioned potential running mates for Harris, including Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear and PA Gov. Josh Shapiro.

However, Biden-Harris campaign co-chair Cedric Richmond refuted these claims in an interview with MSNBC.

When asked about whether the reporting in the New York Times and other outlets about Biden considering stepping off of the Democratic ticket was correct, Richmond responded:

“The New York Times reporting is absolutely wrong, and it’s been consistently wrong. The President has said that he is running, and it’s the end of story. He was just out here in Nevada talking to the NAACP, and he is running his campaign along with the vice President.”

Richmond further added that Biden remains committed to his campaign and believes he is best positioned to defeat Donald Trump.

“President Biden is the head of the party. He talks to the leadership all the time, and what they express to him, I’m sure it will remain between them because they don’t talk about what they talk about in private and discuss it publicly. But what I will say is that the President has said over and over again that he is the best person to beat Donald Trump.

In fact, he is the only person to beat Donald Trump. Donald Trump has an extreme agenda of 2025. He wants a nationwide abortion ban. He doubled down on it with J.D. Vance. All of those things, that’s what we should be talking about.

If we talk about that, the poll numbers will change and we’ll move in the right direction. But the President’s not going anywhere. The President can win, and so we should just go campaign on the issues because we’re right on the issue.

Values and character. If you look on the other side, you have a guy who only cares about himself, lies all the times, twice impeached, convicted of 34 felonies. That’s what we should be talking about.”

PA Trump Rally Shooter Building Reportedly Owned by BlackRock, Managed by Executives from Pfizer

At the Trump Rally in Butler, Pennsylvania last Saturday, a sniper took aim at President Trump, wounding him, killing retired firefighter Corey Comperatore, and seriously wounding two others MAGA patriots.

The building that the sniper was on, part of a complex that also included other snipers working for federal authorities who have not yet been disclosed, is owned by a company called “American Glass Research.” The building is at 615 Whitestown Road in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The location is currently being guarded by the Pennsylvania State Police, and as of Tuesday they had FBI Agents still on the ground. Which is odd, considering that there wasn’t much evidence to be collected on-site according to the official narrative.

American Glass Research has now been identified as partially-owned by BlackRock investments, and whose Executives are formerly with Pfizer. The company bills itself as “a full service independent research and testing laboratory with expertise in testing, design analysis, analytical testing, consulting, training, inspection, product liability and auditing for the glass container industry.”

BlackRock and related firms are accused of various financial transactions, including shorting Trump-related stocks, and standing to profit trillions of dollars from the transactions.

Locals on the ground in Butler, PA, who work across the street from AGR at Brenckle’s Farm and Greenhouse, told the Gateway Pundit that the sale has been pending for months and the neighborhood knew that it was in the works. “Nobody’s happy about it, but there’s not much we can do about it. We’ve heard the stories, and we know there’s some truth to the matter, but everything is hushed up about it. We’re mostly reading about it in the news like everyone else.”

A review of company and building documents at the Butler County Records and Assessment offices similarly revealed nothing particularly interesting or notable about the company or property. The deed records show a 1990 transfer from a local development corporation for $1.

In a Dramatic and Beautiful Moment. President Trump Honors PA Trump Supporter and Shooting Victim Corey Comperatore as He Takes the Stage at RNC ’24

President Trump took the stage on the final night of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Thursday evening.

This was President Trump’s much anticipated first public speech since he survived an attempted assassination last Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania.

President Trump survived a bullet to the head – by the grace of God – when he turned suddenly during his speech and was shot in the ear instead of a death shot to his brain.

One Trump supporter was killed during the assassination attempt, Corey Comperatore, a former fire chief from Buffalo, New York, who lost his life when he shielded his family from the bullets aimed at President Trump.

When President Trump took the stage on Thursday the RNC wheeled out Corey Camperatore’s fire suit and helmet on a stand.

President Trump walked over and embraced the fire suit before he opened his speech.

This was a beautiful and touching moment.

President Trump later told the packed house, “I shouldn’t be here today,” and that it was by the grace of God that saved his life.

Why Did Trump Give a Bad Speech?

Why Did Trump Give a Bad Speech?

There may be more to the former president’s turn at the RNC than meets the eye.

Donald Trump filibustered his own nomination Thursday night—and Friday morning, too: His 90-minute acceptance remarks didn’t finish until well after midnight Eastern time. Pundits were astonished. If President Joe Biden can’t speak for fifteen minutes without mangling names and slurring his words, Trump can’t discipline himself to get his point across in less than an hour. Democrats who had been feeling hopeless heard Trump and, for the first time in weeks, thought he could be beaten, maybe not by Joe Biden but by someone under 70 with an average amount of political talent.

Yet Trump knew exactly what he was doing. The speech was prepared well in advance, even if ad-libbing added quite a bit to its length. Trump wanted to accomplish something with these remarks. But what?

The speech itself was bland, but for its opening section about the July 13 attempt on Trump’s life. Trump recounted his inch-away-from-death experience and praised the heroism of Corey Comperatore, who died shielding his daughters from the assassin’s bullets. Comperatore was a volunteer firefighter, and his uniform was displayed on stage. Trump kissed its helmet.

After that, however, the speech had little focus. This was not a unity speech, although unity did get passing attention: “I am running to be president for all of America, not half of America, because there is no victory in winning for half of America.” Trump recapitulated many of the convention’s standard Republican themes: tax cuts, energy independence (now reconceived as “energy dominance”). Immigration, and the policies of countries which cut their crime rates by sending their criminals to the United States, came in for extended criticism. But no single thread tied the 90-minute monologue together. Nor did many lines stand out as particularly memorable.

Several commentators noted afterward that if nothing else Trump proved he has sheer physical stamina—and mental acuity—that Joe Biden lacks. Trump may be only a few years younger than Biden, but Trump has the energy of a much younger man. And maybe that’s what he intended to show off.

This speech was not just about striking a contrast with Biden, however. It was a rebranding for Trump, and a neutralization of another Donald Trump, the one Democrats have tried to establish in voters’ minds.

That Trump is an angry, hateful man linked to political violence, above all the January 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol. He’s a figure whose harsh rhetoric inflames the nation’s divisions. Trump, as described by his enemies, is dangerous.

The Trump who delivered such long-winded acceptance remarks at the convention, on the other hand, is not dangerous. Trump was genial and jokey the whole time he gave his speech—no anger, no thunder. His remarks weren’t utterly anodyne; he used much of his familiar boilerplate about immigration, for example, rather than softening his words. But with so many words flowing from his smiling face, the speech’s effect was to convey moderation even if the language didn’t do so explicitly.

In short, Trump was drowning his own infamy in a sea of words, without repudiating any of his policies or greatly moderating his language. Those moves could have cost him support—not much, perhaps, but enough to matter in a close election like 2016 or 2020. Trump knows that 2024 is likely to be close, too. He can’t afford any defections from the right, but he can’t let himself be seen as an ogre by undecided voters either. A prolix acceptance speech, rather than an ideologically watered-down one, would reassure “normies” without demoralizing conservatives. That’s important, considering the damage to conservative morale already inflicted by the changes Trump demanded to the Republican platform.

Some of the same liberal commentators puzzled, or pleased, by Trump’s excessively lengthy acceptance speech were similarly perplexed by his choice of J.D. Vance as his running mate. Vance supposedly brings nothing to the ticket that Trump himself doesn’t already bring. And by choosing Vance, Trump missed the opportunity to win over more black, Latino, or women voters with a minority or female VP pick. According to this thinking, Trump should have chosen a Republican Kamala Harris.

The reality, however, is that white voters who turned away from Trump between 2016 and 2020 cost him his re-election. And for Trump to win this year, he needs to maximize his share of the working-class white vote in states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. All three of those states received many mentions in Vance’s acceptance remarks. They’re the places he was put on the ticket to win.

Savvy electoral calculations figured into Vance’s speech on Wednesday, and Trump’s Thursday speech was no less strategic. Trump had to disarm impressions of him as a radical or destabilizing leader. He had to do the opposite of firing up the base—three nights of RNC programming had already accomplished that. The final night’s speech needed to give the audience at the convention what it wanted (above all, simply more Trump, in this case much more) while also diluting Trump’s image as a troublemaker. The acceptance speech was a speech for a candidate already ahead in the polls, one more in need of negating his weaknesses than inspiring his already enthusiastic supporters.

The Next Time Someone Tells You JD Vance Was a Trump-Hater, Show Them This 83-Second Video

When Sen. J.D. Vance accepted the GOP vice presidential nomination in Milwaukee on Wednesday, it was a long way from an Ohio stage where he stood two years ago to defend his change of heart about Donald Trump.

But his explanation at that March 2022 debate for why he’d gone from opposing Trump to being an outspoken supporter is serving him now as a perfect rejoinder to critics unhappy with Trump’s selection.

And his words are something that should be heard by every Republican who thinks Vance isn’t loyal enough, every Republican who opposed Trump before his presidency — and even the NeverTrumpers who oppose him now.

The question arose during a March 2022 primary debate, where Vance stood with four rivals for the GOP Senate nomination.

In the context of the candidates seeking Trump’s endorsement in the race, a moderator asked Vance to square his position supporting Trump with scathing comments Vance had made about Trump six and seven years earlier.

Vance’s response boiled down to: “I was wrong.”

“I’ve been very public about the fact that I voted for the president in 2020, that I was wrong about the president back in 2015-2016, and that he’s been the greatest president of my lifetime, for the very simple reason — there are many, but one very important reason — is that he revealed the corruption in Washington, D.C.”

Check out the video here:

Vance cited other reasons for his change of view — his personal life has changed with his baptism into the Catholic church, and he and his wife have had three children.

And he’s simply older now, presumably wiser, and has had the experience — along with the rest of the country — of seeing what Donald Trump can do in the White House — and the extent his enemies would go to stop him.

And those are solid reasons for anyone who wasn’t a Trump supporter during the 2016 primary race to have supported him in 2020 — and to support him now.

There’s a reason even liberal polls (like one by The New York Times, of all places) show Americans remember the Trump years fondly. Discounting the COVID pandemic and the George Floyd riots, it was a time of peace and prosperity.

The economy was roaring, unemployment was low, and the now-war ravaged Middle East was seeing glimmering signs of real peace with the Trump-brokered Abraham Accords.

It’s also worth noting that neither COVID nor the death of a drug-addicted Minneapolis counterfeiting suspect were Trump’s responsibility, but Democrats and radical leftists used both shamelessly as weapons against both Trump and the American people.

The machinations of the deep state were revealed in the form of now-former FBI Director James Comey’s blatant partisanship in attacking Trump (along with retired Army Gen. Michael Flynn, Trump’s first national security advisor and a host of others in Trump’s orbit).

The first Trump impeachment was on a charge so ludicrous it’s barely remembered (hint: It had a lot to do with Trump’s interest in — and Democrats covering for — the criminal lifestyle of Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s abuse of power as vice president, and the corruption-ridden country of Ukraine).

Its main impact was that it showed the country how petty Trump’s political opponents are, and how relentless.

The mainstream media also disgraced itself to an almost unimaginable degree chasing fraudulent Pulitzer Prizes for reporting on the “Russia collusion” hoax, and endlessly hyperventilating about the “walls closing in” on Trump. (It’s an energy Washington reporters haven’t shown when it comes to covering the Biden administration, oddly enough.)

All of that — and there was plenty more — was visible to anyone who cared to look, and J.D. Vance apparently cared to look.

He sought and won Trump’s endorsement in the 2022 GOP Senate primary in Ohio, which likely propelled him to his narrow victory.

Now, he’s Trump’s official running mate in Trump’s effort to return to the White House. Trump opponents — Republicans and otherwise — could learn something from Vance’s words in 2022.

Trump supporters — who might think Vance is not loyal enough — could learn something, too.

Experience is the best teacher. And in this case, the lessons are clear.

Trump Makes Final Pitch to Voters in Bold and Positive Message at RNC – Watch the Full Speech (VIDEO)

Donald Trump closed out the Republican National Convention, giving a lengthy speech that began with recounting the events of the weekend and eventually touched on pretty much every important aspect of domestic and foreign policy.

Trump outlined his plans to solve problems with the economy, the invasion at the southern border, and stabilizing the world by ending international conflicts.

From CNBC:

Former President Donald Trump recounted the assassination attempt that nearly killed him during his Republican National Convention acceptance speech in Milwaukee on Thursday night.

“I’m not supposed to be here tonight,” said a somber Trump, with a bandage covering his right ear, which was nicked by a bullet. “As you already know, the assassin’s bullet came within a quarter of an inch of taking my life.”

“I stand before you by the grace of almighty God,” Trump said before approaching and kissing the fire chief’s helmet of Corey Comperatore, who was killed in the shooting by Thomas Crooks in Butler Township, Pennsylvania, during a campaign rally Saturday.

“As Americans, we are bound together by a single fate and a shared destiny. We rise together. Or we fall apart,” said Trump on the eve of the eighth anniversary of his first nomination for the presidency.

“Despite such a heinous attack, we unite this evening more determined than ever. Our resolve is unbroken, and our purpose is unchanged — to deliver a government that serves the American people,” Trump said.

Trump Accepts GOP Nomination for U.S. President

To close the Republican National Convention Thursday, the former President Donald Trump swore that he will continue to fight for a unified America.

“As Americans we are gathered by a single faith and a shared destiny,” Trump opened. “I am running to be president of all of America, not half of America.”

He also took the opportunity to share his personal experience of the Saturday attempt on his life in Butler, Pennsylvania.

“There was blood pouring over me, but in a way, I felt very safe, as I had God on my side,” he said. “Bullets were flying over us, but I felt serene.”

“[The crowd] knew I was in very serious trouble…. They thought, most did, that I was dead,” Trump said.

“I’m not supposed to be here tonight,” said Trump. “Yes you are!” the crowd chanted in response.

Trump described how he knew in the moment he needed to show strength to his supporters who believed he was gone. “I raised my right arm, looked at the thousands and thousands of people who were desperately waiting, and said ‘Fight, Fight, Fight!’” The crowd echoed the chant.

Trump also called upon the crowd to remember Corey Comperatore, who died protecting his family at the rally. He acknowledged Corey’s sacrifice with a moment of silence, while the departed firefighter’s jacket and helmet were displayed on-stage. The former president walked over to the gear and kissed the helmet.

“This election should be about the issues facing our country,” he continued. “Now is the time to remember we are all fellow citizens, one nation under God with liberty and justice for all.”

“If Democrats want to unify our country, they should drop these partisan witch hunts,” he declared.

He segued into a classically Trumpian discussion of policies and issues that are facing the country: immigration, the economy, inflation, new wars abroad, growing threats in the Middle East, energy independence, infrastructure, and more. “Our planet is teetering on the edge of World War Three,” he said.

He focused on illegal immigration for much of the speech, displaying the “beautiful chart” touting the success of his administration in mitigating the border crisis that he had at his Butler rally. “I never got to see it that day,” he joked.

Trump called for his supporters to “be excited” for the future. “We will not break, we will not back down, and I will never stop fighting for you, and your family, and our magnificent country.”

“The movement has never been about me. It has always been about you,” Trump emphasized. “America is on the cusp of a new golden age.”

November “can’t come fast enough,” he said. “Success is going to bring us together.”
