Bridget Fitzpatrick, who has served as Principal Assistant United States Attorney, will become Acting US Attorney once Graves’s resignation becomes official.

Kelly added that any firm that decides to hire Graves should be “blacklisted and shamed.”

It is customary for many U.S. attorneys to resign before a new administration takes over so they do not get fired, though some refuse to quit and end up getting canned. Just ask former United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York Preet Bharara, who fired by Trump after working for Barack Obama for eight years.

As The Gateway Pundit has extensively reported, Graves, who works for disgraced Attorney General Merrick Garland is the Biden henchman behind the unprecedented criminal charges against Trump protesters on January 6, 2021.

Over 1,200 Trump supporters have been targeted, stalked, and arrested, thanks mainly to Graves. Hundreds were arrested and persecuted for walking inside the open doors of the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. Many were waved into the US Capitol by Capitol Police.

The TGP previously revealed those persecuted by Graves include THOUSANDS of Americans who were around the Capitol on January 6 – but did not enter the building.

At the same time, he is notorious for standing by and doing nothing while hundreds of BLM and Antifa followers attacked the White House and attempted to burn a church to the ground during the 2020 riots.

On top of this, Graves worked on behalf of Qatar and numerous foreign banks that have been accused of bankrolling terrorism. Talk about disloyalty to America.

An appeals court on Monday upheld E. Jean Carroll’s $5 million judgment against President Trump.

“We conclude that Mr. Trump has not demonstrated that the district court erred in any of the challenged rulings. Further, he has not carried his burden to show that any claimed error or combination of claimed errors affected his substantial rights as required to warrant a new trial,” judges on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals said in their ruling, NBC News reported.

Trump’s spox Steven Cheung said in a statement: “The American People have re-elected President Trump with an overwhelming mandate, and they demand an immediate end to the political weaponization of our justice system and a swift dismissal of all of the Witch Hunts, including the Democrat-funded Carroll Hoax, which will continue to be appealed.”

A Manhattan jury reached a verdict in the E. Jean Carroll rape/defamation case last May and ordered Trump to pay her $5 million.

In 2019, E. Jean Carroll alleged Donald Trump raped her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the 1990’s.

Trump has denied the allegations and called E. Jean Carroll a “whack job” who’s “not my type.”

A reader responding to my recent The Gateway Pundit article, While U.S. Liberals Support Hamas, the Taliban Continues to Wage War on Women, rightly pointed out that Hamas and the Taliban are distinct terrorist organizations and should not be conflated.

As a result, it makes sense to write a separate article focused on the repression of women by Hamas. This also provides an opportunity to once again highlight the hypocrisy of liberals who claim to support women’s rights while simultaneously supporting the Hamas terrorist organization, which actively oppresses women and denies them some of the most basic rights enjoyed by the very liberal women defending them.

The current Middle East crisis stems from the October 7 attacks by Hamas, during which 1,200 people—including women, children, the elderly, and Holocaust survivors—were killed, and 251 were abducted. Hamas committed horrific crimes against women, including rape and torture, while also denying humanitarian assistance to Israeli women and girls held captive since 2023.

In addition to the Israeli victims of Hamas’s attacks on women, there is the repression of women in Gaza, driven by Hamas’s role in perpetuating these abuses. Palestinian women in Gaza endure profound suffering, with many killed, injured, displaced, and denied basic rights such as access to medical care. Reports highlighted that Hamas has used women as both targets and instruments in their broader conflict strategies, depriving them of freedom and safety.

Separate from the crimes committed by Hamas against women during the current conflict, Gaza’s laws inherently discriminate against women, reflecting a broader pattern of systemic inequality. Ironically, the liberals, including women and LGBTQ+ activists in the U.S. who protest in support of Gaza, would not be permitted to hold such protests in Gaza due to its restrictive laws. Consensual same-sex sexual conduct is banned in Gaza.

Although Gaza does not operate under a fully implemented Sharia law system like some Islamic republics, much of its governance and legal framework is heavily influenced by Islamic law, particularly under Hamas’s rule since 2007. These influences are evident in personal status laws governing marriage, divorce, and inheritance, which are based on Islamic jurisprudence and enforced through Sharia courts. Social policies further reflect this conservative interpretation of Islam, with women pressured to adhere to modest Islamic dress codes and gender segregation strictly enforced in schools, workplaces, and public spaces.

Despite the strong influence of Islamic principles, Gaza’s legal system does not fully adhere to Sharia law in areas like criminal law, where harsher Sharia penalties such as hudud (e.g., amputations or stoning) are not implemented. Practical challenges, including Gaza’s political situation, international scrutiny, and diverse societal views, have prevented the imposition of a strictly Sharia-based system. Nonetheless, the combination of religiously influenced laws and societal norms continues to restrict the rights and freedoms of women in Gaza.

In summary, while not a full Sharia-based legal system, Gaza’s civil and legal practices under Hamas are significantly shaped by Sharia law, particularly in personal and family matters.

Women are subjected to discriminatory personal status laws influenced by religious principles, denying them equal rights in matters such as marriage, divorce, and inheritance. Gender-based violence is rampant, with 59% of married women reporting domestic abuse, yet less than 2% of survivors file complaints due to cultural and systemic barriers. Hamas’s condemnation of initiatives promoting equal treatment for all genders as “deviance.” These restrictions exemplify the broader pattern of systemic repression under Hamas, where legal frameworks and societal norms severely limit the freedoms of women.

In 2021, Gaza’s Supreme Judicial Council issued a directive allowing male guardians to apply for court orders to prevent unmarried women from traveling, citing potential “absolute harm.” This rule permits a guardian to block a woman’s travel even before a court ruling. Such restrictions have real consequences, as demonstrated by the case of a 19-year-old woman who was prevented from traveling abroad to study after her father obtained a judicial travel ban.

Additionally, Hamas requires male guardians to apply for their children’s passports, even in cases where women have legal custody following a divorce. These policies stand in stark contrast to other regions where women can apply for their children’s passports independently, such as areas managed by the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank.

Other restrictions imposed by Hamas include past bans on women riding motorcycles and participating in public events like marathons. While some of these rules are reportedly less enforced today, women traveling abroad often face questioning from border officials about male guardian permission, a practice that has become more common in recent years. These laws and practices illustrate the systemic repression of women under Hamas’s rule in Gaza.

Women are pressured to adhere to conservative Islamic dress codes, limiting their autonomy over personal attire. Employment opportunities for women are limited by societal norms and institutional barriers, discouraging workforce participation. Personal status laws, rooted in Islamic jurisprudence, disadvantage women in marriage, divorce, and child custody cases, with their testimony often holding less weight than that of men in family courts. Moreover, domestic violence is inadequately addressed, leaving survivors with limited legal protection or recourse.

It is not a right-wing conspiracy theory, nor is it rooted in racism or hate, for conservatives to point out that women’s rights are violated under Hamas in Gaza—it is simply a fact, as outlined above.

Given that this information is readily accessible, it raises serious questions about how liberals in the West continue to support Hamas, why they have failed to object to these restrictions, and, even more troubling, how some dismiss these realities as misinformation, despite the clear evidence of repression faced by women in Gaza.

Hydraulic failure forces Royal Dutch Airlines passenger plane to make emergency landing in Oslo

A Royal Dutch Airlines plane with nearly 180 passengers onboard made an emergency landing in Norway Saturday after a hydraulic failure in midair and went off the tarmac into the grass. 

The flight was en route from Olso, Norway to Amsterdam when pilots heard a “loud noise,” the airline said.

Statement from Royal Dutch Airlines:

“A passenger plane traveling from Oslo to Amsterdam made an emergency landing at Torp Airport following a hydraulic failure,” the police reportedly said in a statement.

“After landing, we lost control, it turned right, and we couldn’t stop it,” one pilot said on the aircraft radio intercom. It was further reported that the control tower observed smoke coming from the plane’s left engine.

While nobody was injured or killed, other similar incidents across the world recently have left hundreds of victims.

This comes after an Azerbaijan Airlines flight en route from Baku to Grozny tragically crashed in flames in Kazakhstan on Christmas Day, killing upwards of 30 people.

Additionally, an Air Canada flight carrying 73 passengers encountered a suspected landing gear failure upon touchdown at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Nova Scotia, causing the aircraft to skid down the runway and a wing to catch fire. Earlier this year, an Air Canada Boeing jet also burst into flames during takeoff, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing. No injuries were reported on this flight.

Longtime British music icon Elton John spoke to Time magazine about his “Icon of the Year” award (not to be confused with President-elect Donald Trump’s “Person of the Year” award) and covered a wide swathe of topics.

John, 77, spoke glowingly and reminiscently about his past and the numerous concerts he’s performed.

Most of the article reads wistful, but there was a point that John turned particularly terse, and it had to do with marijuana use.

After chronicling his own sordid past when it came to drug use, John told Time that he thinks North America has made a catastrophic mistake with its laissez-faire attitude towards marijuana.

“I maintain that it’s addictive,” John said. “It leads to other drugs.”

Beyond the gateway drug hypothesis, there’s also been plenty of reports suggesting that marijuana isn’t as harmless as its advocates would have you think.

John personally noted that “when you’re stoned– and I’ve been stoned — you don’t think normally.”

But the British musician saved his most biting critique for addressing North America directly: “Legalizing marijuana in America and Canada is one of the greatest mistakes of all time.”

“John now divides his life into pre- and post-sober periods,” Time noted. “He has helped many people kick drugs and has offered to help many more.

“He is Eminem’s sponsor. He orchestrated English pop star Robbie Williams’ first stint in rehab.

“He tried, without success, to help George Michael.”

(Michael was another British music icon who passed away in 2016 at the age of 53.)

John admitted that it can be difficult to start conversations — particularly with stoners — but that it is needed.

“It’s tough to tell someone that they’re being an a**hole, and it’s tough to hear,” he said. “Eventually I made the choice to admit that I’m being an a**hole.”

Interestingly, John wasn’t as willing to offer as full-throated a condemnation of alcohol use.

Time said that John “offers a balanced answer, suggesting that while alcohol is part of the fabric of society, there are studies that find it’s much less healthy than people believe it to be.”

Apart from Trump and John, other notable recipients of Time’s end-of-year awards include WNBA star Caitlin Clark and tech CEO Lisa Su.

Rep. Victoria Spartz is sending Mike Johnson a request if he wants her vote.

Earlier this month Rep. Victoria Spartz (R-IN), the conservative Republican lawmaker from Indiana who was born in Ukraine, announced that she was giving up her seat on congressional committees. She wanted to spend her time helping DOGE in order to ‘save our republic.’

Spartz deserves much praise for this. She sees the 2024 election as a mandate from the people in support of Donald Trump and she wants to deliver on that promise.

If only more Republicans saw things this way. Perhaps we wouldn’t be having a predictable battles on spending bills. And Congress would be able to act on President Trump’s agenda.

On Monday morning, Rep. Spartz fired a warning shot at the weak Republican Speaker.

The Indiana lawmaker wants Johnson to lay our his plan on how he will accomplish President Trump’s agenda… Or he can forget about her vote.

Rep. Victoria Spartz: I look at people’s track record. Unfortunately, we will not be able to deliver on President Trump’s agenda as the same happened in 2016, because it has to be done legislatively if we don’t have a Speaker with the courage, vision, and plan. If Speaker Johnson wants to be a speaker, then he needs to lay out that plan and commit to that plan, not like what he did last year.

He committed on the House floor to have a fiscal commission, so we have planned for that ceiling increase, which President Trump is right about. We have no plan. He was afraid to put it on the floor. He was afraid to put Biden on the floor. Except a post office bill, we could not accomplish anything. I can give him a chance, but I would like to hear from him how he’s going to be delivering this agenda and what plan he has, and he hasn’t been doing it.

Will Cain: Okay, you’re uncommitted. You say you can give him a chance, and you’ve laid out what you want to hear from him in some of your criticisms. I do need to ask you, though, about strategy. If you do not commit to voting for Speaker Johnson, which, by the way, one more defection from Speaker Johnson would cost him the speakership, what do you expect to happen? Do you have a name? Do you have somebody that you would like to be speaker?

Rep. Spartz: I actually want to hear what other people. Speaker Johnson is not able to govern and is not actually willing to commit to do his constitutional duty. I’m not asking him to do anything beyond what constitution ask. We have a Titanic on the crash course with the iceberg. Our country, fiscally, is going to have a disaster. This is a fault of Congress. This is our constitutional duty. If he’s not willing to do it, then he’s not worthy to be a speaker. We can any American to be a speaker, and I’m willing to hear other people, too. But if Speaker Johnson, I’ll say it again. If he wants to be a speaker, he needs to commit publicly how he’s going to be fulfilling his constitutional duties. I’m not asking him go beyond what he has to do by constitution and what structures we need to put in place to get out of this mess.

Firstly, in late March, Johnson came under fire for leading the House to pass a $1.2 trillion spending bill with more support from Democrats than Republicans. Johnson released the 1,012-page $1.2 trillion spending bill at 2:32 am on a Thursday and brought it to the floor Friday before anybody could read it, debate it, or amend it, despite previous criticism of former Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s similar “behind closed doors” actions.

Next, the House approved an extension of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), a measure initially enacted following the September 11, 2001, attacks, in a 273 to 147 vote. This provision allowed for the warrantless surveillance of American citizens, a move that has raised concerns about privacy and civil liberties. This decision drew sharp criticism, including conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, who accused Johnson of betraying the American people and undermining the Constitution. In an attempt to halt the momentum of the FISA Section 702 extension, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna employed a procedural strategy to delay the Senate’s consideration of the bill. Despite her efforts, the bill passed again. The vote displayed a uniparty alliance, with 147 Democrats and 126 Republicans supporting the bill, while 88 Republicans and 59 Democrats opposed it.

Then, another major legislative action under Speaker Johnson in April involved the passing of three bills aimed at providing financial aid to Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, and other regions engaged in conflicts outside U.S. borders. The Democrats waved Ukrainian flags on the floor of the United States House of Representatives as they voted to send $60 BILLION of taxpayer money to secure a foreign border. The package Johnson announced Wednesday includes terms that will allow the President to cancel 50% of Ukraine’s debt after November 15, 2024, and the remaining 50% after January 1, 2024. It’s no wonder why Joe Biden came out “strongly” in support of the package, urging the House and Senate to pass it.

Later, in September, Johnson caved again to Democrats on the SAVE Act, which would require proof of citizenship for voter registration in federal elections. As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump was unyielding in his support for the SAVE Act, even suggesting that the government should shut down if the bill is not included in the Continuing Resolution (CR) that was in progress. Still, Johnson passed the CR government funding bill in September without including the SAVE Act, jeopardizing the integrity of the  November 5 election. Thankfully, as President Trump put it, he “ran a flawless campaign, having spent FAR LESS, with lots of money left over” while facing highly incompetent and unpopular opponents. Mike Johnson and Congress deserve zero credit for Trump’s historic victory. 

More recently, as The Gateway Pundit reported, Johnson caved and made a backroom deal with Democrats this month on a government funding bill, which President Trump previously made several demands for. Trump’s orders were not followed after Johnson’s betrayal.

Republican leaders were advancing a strategy involving three separate bills after the Democrats and some Republicans rejected a Trump-backed bill the day prior. The separate bill strategy “was approved,” said Rep Cory Mills (R-FL) in an exclusive interview on the disastrous bill. However, Johnson ultimately caved to Democrats’ demands for an “all-in-one” bill, which passed with near-unanimous Democrat support.

President Trump was reportedly reconsidering his support for House Speaker Mike Johnson following this month’s government funding debacle. However, in an apparent threat from Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY), she warned that a Speaker battle could lead to issues with certifying Trump’s election on January 6, 2025. This could explain why Trump would endorse Johnson, but it is unclear if he was just given bad advice.

Regardless, Mike Johnson is highly unpopular among Republican voters and his MAGA House colleagues. As The Gateway Pundit recently reported, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) posted a poll on X Wednesday morning, asking users if failed House Speaker Mike Johnson should be replaced on January 3, 2025, and respondents, most of whom are likely Republican voters, overwhelmingly called for Johnson to be removed from leadership.

The final results of Massie’s poll show that out of nearly 180,000 respondents, 93.3% want “somebody else” to be the House Speaker, and only 6.7% want Johnson.

This is not the only surprising endorsement Trump has made recently. As The Gateway Pundit reported last week, Trump signaled support for Never-Trump RINO and former Kari Lake opponent Karrin Taylor Robson in the 2026 election for Arizona Governor while speaking in Phoenix, Arizona.

Robson, who fundraised for Chris Christy and supported a number of liberal Democrat measures and candidates, further agreed that President Trump is a “drag on the Republican Party” less than two weeks after he announced his reelection bid on November 15, 2022.
