Political commentator Geraldo Rivera appears to have done a complete 180-degree turn on President Trump.

On Tuesday afternoon, Trump announced a 90-day pause on most of the tariffs he had imposed just days before, with the exception of China.

Speaking on NewsNation, where he is an editor-at-large, Rivera argued that Trump had “suckered” China into thinking he was on a suicide mission.

He explained:

He ambushed China. I believe that he ambushed China. I believe that he suckered the whole world into believing that he was going to go down in this, you know, this Harry Carrey, this suicide mission.

…

I just think he wants the best possible deal he can get for the United States of America. God bless him for that. That’s why people really dig the guy. That’s why he’s hard to beat. That charisma is unbelievable.

You know, I could sing his praises forever, and I wonder if I was sitting here and the market was down 2,000 instead of being up, you know, all these thousands, if I would be singing the same tune. I hope so. It just seems to me that this is Trump writ large.

This is the guy, the way he does business. You know, he suckered China in, trying to put their neck way out there. We’re going to fight you to the end, says President Xi. And guess what? The United States pulls a fast one.

Rivera hasn’t always had kind words for the current president.

Despite being a registered Republican and long-time friend of Trump, Rivera endorsed Kamala Harris during the presidential campaign.

He was also harshly critical of Trump’s character, immigration policies, and the January 6th protests, arguing he couldn’t be trusted to protect and defend the Constitution.

Back in 2023, Rivera went so far as to compare Trump to Hitler over comments he made on illegal immigration.

A helicopter has crashed into the Hudson River with a child reportedly aboard the aircraft.

The New York Post reported that rescue efforts are underway after the chopper went down near Pier 40 on West Houston Street and West Street around 3:15 p.m.

NYC residents on social media said there was a “loud thumping noise” when the helicopter crashed. The cause appeared to be a broken propeller.

The FDNY is currently on the scene providing rescue efforts. According to ABC News, four people were on board.

All four have been removed from the 50-degree water. At least one person is dead according to the New York Post.

The conditions of the others is unknown at this time. Rescuers on scene were reportedly performing CPR on the child.

UPDATE: An eyewitness has revealed the helicopter split in two, with the rotor flying off in the sky. He said it sounded like a “sonic boom.”

Red Cross coaches illegal aliens

Taxpayer-funded NGOs are still helping illegal aliens cross over the US border.

Footage captured by Real Muckraker showed the Red Cross and MedGlobal giving illegal aliens advice and equipment for crossing the dangerous Darien Gap jungle into Panama en route to the US.

Rather than helping keep migrants safe, the Red Cross is encouraging them to cross the dangerous Darien Gap jungle to push their open borders agenda.

“A Red Cross psychologist gave our undercover journalist advice, such as to bring 5 days of food for the jungle, and showed our reporter common entry points into the Darién Gap,” the Oversight Project said.

“My mission is to simply give you some strategies,” the Red Cross psychologist said to the undercover journalist. “Because we know that making the journey to Mexico or the United States on this route has some risks, yes? In the Darien jungle there are some risks.”

“A worker from the NGO MedGlobal offered our undercover reporter water purification tablets and other gear to survive in the jungle,” the Oversight Project said.

Last week undercover footage obtained by Real Muckraker shows radical government-funded Chinese-American Planning Council conducting a training on how to evade ICE and to keep illegal aliens in the United States.

Chinese-American Planning Council Chief Policy and Public Affairs Officer Carlyn Cowen was caught on undercover video giving ICE evasion training during a radical activist meeting in New York City.

This radical far-left NGO has ties to top New York Democrats such as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, Rep. Dan Goldman and Governor Kathy Hochul.

It’s not insider trading if it’s posted on social media!

After President Donald Trump paused planned tariffs on several countries for 90 days, stock markets soared, with the Nasdaq seeing its biggest single-day gain since 2008.

Hours earlier, Trump had posted optimistic messages on Truth Social, including: “THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY!!!” Critics and ethics experts questioned whether the posts could be interpreted as an attempt to influence markets or as potential insider trading.

NBC reported that, although there is no evidence Trump or his advisers acted on nonpublic information, the timing of the posts and subsequent tariff pause led to scrutiny from Democrats like Senators Richard Blumenthal and Adam Schiff.

They called for investigations into whether anyone in the administration may have used advance knowledge for financial gain.

The White House defended Trump’s remarks as attempts to calm the market amid media-driven panic. Nonetheless, ethics experts argue the president should avoid making comments that could appear to be financial advice or market manipulation.

Insider trading occurs when someone buys or sells stocks or other securities based on material, nonpublic information—information that could significantly affect a company’s stock price but has not yet been released to the public.

This practice is illegal when the individual trading has a duty to keep the information confidential, such as a corporate insider, government official, or anyone who received the information through a breach of trust.

The goal of insider trading laws is to ensure a fair and level playing field in financial markets, where no one has an unfair advantage due to privileged access to information.

Encouraging the general public—not a secret or select group—to trade based on publicly available information does not meet the definition of insider trading.

By contrast, the Nancy Pelosi incident, if true, matches the definition of insider trading.

In 2024, Pelosi’s husband was accused of selling Visa stock shortly before the Justice Department announced an antitrust lawsuit against the company—raising suspicions that he may have acted on nonpublic, privileged information.

Critics alleged that, through his proximity to the Speaker of the House, he may have had early awareness of impending regulatory action that could negatively impact Visa’s stock value, making it beneficial to sell ahead of the announcement.

If true, that would qualify as insider trading because it involves profiting from confidential government knowledge not available to the public.

In the case of Trump, the tariffs had been widely publicized and did not constitute nonpublic information.

Likewise, Trump’s statement—“this is a great time to buy”—was made publicly on social media, available for anyone to act upon.

Rather than signaling insider knowledge, he appeared to be encouraging the public not to panic, but to see the market dip as an opportunity to invest while prices were low. It was a message of confidence and arguably sound financial advice—not a criminal act.

Critics might argue that the potential insider element is Trump’s knowledge—before the public—that he planned to pause the tariffs, a move that ultimately sent stocks soaring.

While that’s true, it’s also reasonable to assume that markets were due for a rebound and that buying the dip is a well-known strategy used by seasoned investors.

While mainstream media was sounding the alarm and declaring that markets were tanking, more level-headed observers saw the sell-off as a temporary correction triggered by fear over the tariff announcement.

In reality, the tariffs hadn’t yet taken effect, no businesses had suffered tangible harm, and the underlying fundamentals of the U.S. and global economies remained unchanged.

The drop in prices was largely driven by negative sentiment—much of it fueled by Democrats and media figures claiming Trump had wrecked the economy or destroyed people’s life savings.

But while some were panic-selling, smart financial advisors were using phrases like “buying opportunity” and “everything’s on sale.”

That’s exactly what Trump was doing: recognizing, accurately, that lower prices made it a good time to buy. And this would have been true whether he paused the tariffs that day or months later.

The public reaction also suggests many hadn’t read the actual tariff order, which clearly states that the tariffs were intended as a negotiating tool to bring countries to the table and would be lifted once better trade terms were secured.

The order itself makes clear that the tariffs were not permanent—so buying during a dip wasn’t manipulation, it was just smart strategy.

And finally, since there is no evidence that Trump or his team traded stocks, claims of insider trading are dead in the water.

The Trump administration’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has pledged to eliminate animal testing, reinstating a plan originally introduced during President Donald Trump’s first term.

This decision comes after taxpayer watchdog White Coat Waste Project (WCW) exposed the Biden administration’s cancellation of the earlier initiative, which aimed to phase out testing on mammals by 2035.

The original 2019 plan, under then-EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler, intended to implement a 30% reduction in mammal testing by 2025 and a complete elimination by 2035.

This plan was hailed as the most comprehensive effort in U.S. government history to end taxpayer-funded animal experiments, which is supported by millions of Americans across the political spectrum. Unfortunately, a WCW investigation in 2023 revealed that the Biden EPA had quietly canceled the plan and resumed tests on animals.

White Coat Waste uncovered how the Biden EPA was doing animal experiments for “environmental justice,” forcing animals to inhale simulated wildfire smoke and emissions from rifles and handguns.

The agency also killed rabbits after they were used for testing, despite WCW offering to rehome them.

Reinstating this policy has been one of WCW’s top priorities for the new Trump Administration.

Under the leadership of newly appointed Administrator Lee Zeldin, the EPA will now revive and enforce the phase-out.

In a statement to the Washington Times, the EPA said, “Under President Trump’s first term, EPA signed a directive to prioritize efforts to reduce animal testing and committed to reducing testing on mammals by 30 percent by 2025 and to eliminate it completely by 2035. The Biden Administration halted progress on these efforts by delaying compliance deadlines. Administrator Zeldin is wholly committed to getting the agency back on track to eliminating animal testing.”

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis said in a statement provided to The Gateway Pundit:

“I’ve been working to revive President Trump’s plan to eliminate the EPA’s cruel and outdated animal testing. I applaud the commitment of my friend EPA Administrator Zeldin to bring President Trump’s plan back after it was senselessly canceled by the Biden-Harris Administration. Reinstating the Trump EPA plan will save tens of millions of taxpayer dollars and spare countless dogs, rabbits and other animals from painful and unnecessary experiments that can be replaced with modern alternatives that are more effective than antiquated animal testing methods.”

In 2019, PETA tried to take credit for the original Trump administration win despite the fact that it was due to the work of WCW.

Even more egregiously, as The Gateway Pundit previously reported, in November 2021, PETA lied and tweeted, “Unfortunately, Trump did nothing to stop animal experimentation.”

When the Biden EPA first quietly removed the 2025 and 2035 deadlines from its animal testing plan in 2021, PETA not only didn’t mention it but praised the agency.

Despite the high-profile press about WCW uncovering the rollback of the Trump plan, PETA never said a word to the press or its members about Biden’s EPA canceling the phaseout and plans to retire the animals. Their only reference to any change was, “In 2019, the EPA released a Work Plan (updated in 2021) outlining concrete steps it would take to reduce toxicity testing on animals and prioritize non-animal testing methods.”

Instead, PETA continued pouring praise on the agency throughout the Biden administration.

Unlike the leftist lunatics over at PETA, White Coat Waste has been stacking up the wins with Trump and DOGE.

Thanks to WCW’s investigations, President Trump has now cut 10 NIH grants that funded transgender animal experiments.

Elon Musk and Joe Rogan recently discussed WCW’s investigations of NIH funding for transgender animal experiments and Fauci’s beagle tests—a story Gateway Pundit first broke in 2021—as egregious examples of government waste. Musk commented that these taxpayer-funded labs are “mutilating animals in demented studies that are like the worst thing you can imagine from a horror show.”

An American Airlines plane en route to Charleston, South Carolina clipped another plane en route to New York carrying several members of Congress parked on the tarmac waiting for takeoff at Reagan Washington International Airport at 12:45 pm on Thursday.

No injuries were reported.

The reason for the collision in unknown and under investigation.

Members of Congress who were on the plane posted about the incident on social media.

“Serving in Congress has come with some once in a lifetime experiences… like just now while stationary on the runway at DCA, another plane just bumped into our wing. Heading back to the gate, but thankfully everyone is ok!” Congressman Nick LaLota said.

Several members of Congress were on a plane that was sitting on the tarmac waiting to leave Washington on Thursday when it was clipped by another aircraft.

American Airlines said no injuries were reported, and both aircraft returned to the gates at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

The wingtip of a plane bound for Charleston International Airport in South Carolina struck another plane that was headed to JFK International Airport in New York, according to the Federal Aviation Administration, which is investigating the incident.

In February, an American Airlines flight en route from Boston to DC had to abort a landing at Reagan International Airport.

According to reports, the pilot decided to “perform a go-around maneuver” after he saw another plane on the runway at DCA.

In early February, an American Airlines flight carrying approximately 64 souls collided with a Blackhawk helicopter near Washington D.C. Reagan National Airport (DCA).

All 67 people perished.

A preliminary FAA report indicated that staffing at the DCA Air Traffic Control tower was “not normal” at the time of the helicopter-plane collision.

According to NBC News, at the time of the collision, one controller was overseeing both helicopter and airplane traffic.

On Thursday a federal judge in Pennsylvania denied President Trump’s motion to dismiss a defamation case brought by the Central Park 5.

US District Judge Wendy Beetlestone, an Obama appointee, ruled that the ‘Central Park 5’ had produced enough evidence to move forward with their defamation suit against Trump.

In October, members of the “Central Park 5” filed a defamation suit against Trump over his statements during ABC’s debate last year.

In case you don’t know the story behind the Central Park 5, Ann Coulter published an amazing piece on the brutal criminal attack in 2014.

During the ABC debate, Trump responded to Kamala Harris’s comment on his decades-old New York Times ad on the Central Park 5.

“[T]hey come up with things like what she just said going back many, many years when a lot of people including Mayor [Michael] Bloomberg agreed with me on the Central Park Five. They admitted — they said, they pled guilty. And I said, well, if they pled guilty they badly hurt a person, killed a person ultimately. And if they pled guilty — then they pled we’re not guilty.”

In a jaw-dropping moment during a high-level Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, United States Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard dropped a bombshell: there is now evidence that electronic voting machines have been tampered with to manipulate election outcomes in the United States.

Gabbard gave a detailed update on her sweeping investigations into the politicization of intelligence and election interference.

Her statement confirmed what many conservatives have long suspected — that the very foundations of America’s electoral system have been compromised.

“I’ve got a long list of things that we’re investigating. We have the best going after this, election integrity being one of them,” Gabbard said.

“We have evidence of how these electronic voting systems have been vulnerable to hackers for a very long time and vulnerable to exploitation to manipulate the results of the votes being cast, which further drives forward your mandate to bring about paper ballots across the country so that voters can have faith in the integrity of our elections.”

This should not come as a surprise to readers of The Gateway Pundit, who have been following our report.

Even the world’s leading hackers concur with this assessment.

Last year, some of the world’s top hackers convened in Las Vegas for the annual DEF CON conference, specifically at the Voting Village event, to probe and expose vulnerabilities in voting machines set to be used in the upcoming November election.

From Friday through Sunday, hackers at Voting Village tested various voting machines and related equipment, attempting to bypass security measures.

Harri Hursti, co-founder of Voting Village, noted that the list of vulnerabilities found was extensive but consistent with previous years.

“There’s so much basic stuff that should be happening and is not happening, so yes I’m worried about things not being fixed, but they haven’t been fixed for a long time, and I’m also angry about it,” Hursti told Politico.

Scott Algeier, executive director of the Information Technology-Information Sharing and Analysis Center (IT-ISAC), emphasized that fixing vulnerabilities is not a quick process: “Even if you find a vulnerability next week in a piece of modern equipment that’s deployed in the field, there’s a challenge in getting the patch and getting the fix out to the state and local elections officials and onto the equipment before the November election.”

“It’s not a 90-day fix, It’s not a Microsoft every Tuesday, issue your patch and everything works fine. It’s a pretty complicated process,” he added.

This is not the first time Def Con hackers were able to penetrate vulnerable voting machines used in the US today.

In July 2017, the DEF CON hackers made quick work of the voting machines. Hackers were given the rare chance to crack into US voting machines. It took one person just 90 minutes to hack in and vote remotely on one of the machines.

In 2019, at the DEF CON conference in Las Vegas, NBC News’ technology correspondent Jacob Ward provided an in-depth look at how easily hackers can exploit vulnerabilities in voting systems.



This is not the first time we have heard about election machine vulnerabilities.

In 2023, University of Michigan Professor of Computer Science and Engineering J. Halderman, revealed in a Georgia courtroom that Dominion Voting Systems were vulnerable to hacks.

His report confirmed that votes can be altered in the Dominion voting machines. In fact, the report reveals that the Dominion software is vulnerable and can be hacked.

Professor Halderman wrote in his report:

We discovered vulnerabilities in nearly every part of the system that is exposed to potential attackers. The most critical problem we found is an arbitrary-code-execution vulnerability that can be exploited to spread malware from a county’s central election management system (EMS) to every BMD in the jurisdiction. This makes it possible to attack the BMDs at scale, over a wide area, without needing physical access to any of them.

Our report explains how attackers could exploit the flaws we found to change votes or potentially even affect election outcomes in Georgia.

The Secretary of State in Georgia, Brad Raffensperger, announced in 2023 that he would not fix the vulnerabilities before the 2024 election.

Dr. Halderman revealed that the Dominion machines were so vulnerable that he was able to hack into one of the machines in the courtroom with a pen!

The death toll continues to rise as the search and rescue teams struggle to find survivors after the roof of the nightclub collapsed during a concert.

ABC News reported:

“At least 218 people were killed, Dominican authorities said on Thursday, and another 155 injured in the roof collapse at the Jet Set nightclub, located in the capital of Santo Domingo, according to national police.

The incident happened at 12:34 a.m. Tuesday, during a concert by the Dominican merengue singer Rubby Pérez, according to the police. The roof collapsed within seconds, police said.”

“’We deeply regret the tragedy that occurred at the Jet Set nightclub’, Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader said in a post on social media. ‘We have been following the incident minute by minute since it occurred. All relief agencies have provided the necessary assistance and are working tirelessly in the rescue efforts. Our prayers are with the affected families’.”

The fatalities include former MLB star Octavio Dotel.

“Dotel was pulled from the rubble by rescue crews but died in an ambulance while en route to a hospital, according to Col. Randolfo Rijo Gomez, head of the country’s 911 emergency services.”

MLB star Octavio Dotel died in the tragedy.

“Another former MLB player, 44-year-old Tony Blanco, was also killed in the roof collapse, according to the Dominican Republic Ministry of Sports and Recreation. The Dominican baseball player played for the Washington Nationals as well as professionally in Japan and the Dominican Republic.”

The collapse also claimed the life of Montecristi Gov. Nelsy Milagros Cruz Martinez, and famed fashion designer Martin Polanco.

At least one US citizen was among the killed, according to Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

“’Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones affected by this devastating event’, he said in a post on X on Wednesday. ‘The U.S. stands ready to support our Dominican allies amid this difficult time’.”
