Milwaukee judge Hannah Dugan flees reporter after being arrested by FBI for obstructing ICE arrest / screen image

The shocking criminal complaint detailing Judge Hannah Dugan’s actions leading up to her arrest and felony charges was unsealed on Friday. (Read the full criminal complaint here).

As previously reported, a Milwaukee County judge was arrested by the FBI for obstructing an ICE arrest last week.

According to the FBI, Judge Hannah Dugan obstructed an immigration arrest operation last week. Dugan became angry when she found out that ICE agents were waiting outside of her courtroom last week to arrest Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, an illegal alien involved in a domestic abuse case she was overseeing. She allegedly directed Flores-Ruiz to exit the courthouse through a private jury door to evade arrest.

FBI Director Kash Patel said Judge Dugan “intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested at her courthouse.”

US Attorney General Pam Bondi said Judge Dugan screamed at immigration officers last week before helping the illegal alien evade arrest.

“The judge learned that ICE was outside … She goes out in the hallway, screams at the immigration officers — she’s furious, visibly shaking, upset — sends them off to talk to the chief judge. She comes back in the courtroom … takes the defendant and the defense attorney back in her chambers, takes them out a private exit and tells them to leave,” Bondi said on Fox News on Friday.

The criminal complaint details Judge Dugan’s actions to intimidate federal agents and how she helped the illegal alien evade arrest.

According to the criminal complaint, six Milwaukee ICE ERO Task Force officers arrived at the courthouse to effectuate the arrest “in as low-key and safe of a manner as possible.”

“The courtroom deputy explained that at approximately 8:15 am, FBI agents advised that they were working with ICE and were planning to arrest Flores-Ruiz. The courtroom deputy asked that the agents wait outside and arrest Flores-Ruiz after the hearing. The agents agreed and left the courtroom,” the complaint read.

While the arrest team members waited outside the courtroom, a female public defender approached and took photographs of the officers.

Judge Dugan learned of ICE’s presence and confronted the arrest team!

“Judge DUGAN became visibly angry, commented that the situation was “absurd,” left the bench, and entered chambers. At the time, Flores-Ruiz was seated in the gallery of the courtroom,” the complaint read.

The angry judge demanded to see a judicial warrant and told the arrest team they needed to speak with the Chief Judge.

“Witnesses uniformly reported that Judge DUGAN was visibly upset and had a confrontational, angry demeanor. Judge DUGAN addressed Deportation Officer A and asked if Deportation Officer A was present for a court appearance. When Deportation Officer A responded, “no,” Judge DUGAN stated that Deportation Officer A would need to leave the courthouse. Deportation Officer A stated that Deportation Officer A was there to effectuate an arrest. Judge DUGAN asked if Deportation Officer A had a judicial warrant, and Deportation Officer A responded, “No, I have an administrative warrant,”” The complaint read.

The courtroom deputy said Judge Dugan was trying to expedite Flores-Ruiz’s hearing so she could quickly usher him out of the building.

It was later revealed that Judge Dugan adjourned Flores-Ruiz’s hearing so she could discreetly escort him through a “jury door” to avoid his arrest.

“The courtroom deputy then saw Judge DUGAN get up and heard Judge DUGAN say something like “Wait, come with me.” Despite having been advised of the administrative warrant for the arrest of Flores-Ruiz, Judge DUGAN then escorted Flores-Ruiz and his counsel out of the courtroom through the “jury door,” which leads to a nonpublic area of the courthouse,” the complaint said.

After adjourning the hearing, Judge Dugan also commanded Flores-Ruiz’s attorneys to leave through the back door of the courtroom.

A Victim Witness Specialist (VWS) said Judge Dugan “exited through the jury door with Flores-Ruiz and the Hispanic woman. The VWS was concerned because Flores-Ruiz’s case had not yet been called, and the victims were waiting.”

Flores-Ruiz was arrested after a foot chase.

The judge put ICE agents in danger rather than allowing them to peacefully and swiftly arrest Flores-Ruiz in the hallway of the courthouse.

The DOJ announced Judge Dugan was charged with “obstruction of proceedings before a department or agency of the United States, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison, and concealing a person to prevent arrest, which carries a maximum penalty of one year in prison.”

Kohberger Defense Team Handed Massive Defeat: Judge Rules Autism Won’t Save Him from Potential Death Penalty

The man accused of murdering four university students in 2022 could still be facing death himself.

Attorneys for Bryan Kohberger, on trial for the savage stabbings in a rental home near the University of Idaho campus, cited a clinical neuropsychologist’s finding that their client is on the autism spectrum in asking District Judge Steven Hippler to rule out the possibility of capital punishment if Kohberg is convicted, according to the Associated Press.

And after a slew of earlier attempts to exclude the death penalty, according to the Idaho Statesman, it might have been their last chance.

Judge rules prosecutors can seek death penalty against Bryan Kohberger if convicted of Idaho student murders — despite autism diagnosis https://t.co/xSKl4rCJqa pic.twitter.com/WKvc8PvT7T

— New York Post (@nypost) April 25, 2025

According to the AP, Kohberger has been diagnosed as having “Autism Spectrum Disorder, level 1, without accompanying intellectual or language impairment.”

Kohberger’s attorneys argued that should make him ineligible for execution under the Eighth Amendment’s prohibition of “cruel and unusual punishment.”

Prosecutors maintained that even with the autism diagnosis, Supreme Court precedents indicated that only mental disabilities that involve intellectual ability could put the death penalty off the table.

At the time of the Nov. 13, 2022, killings, Kohberger was a graduate student in criminal justice at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, just across the state line from the University of Idaho’s campus in Moscow, Idaho.

He was arrested — after being under surveillance for several days — in northeast Pennsylvania after traveling to his parents’ home for a holiday trip. Charged with four counts of first-degree murder and burglary, he’s pleaded innocent in the case.

Hippler’s ruling kept capital punishment in play in the case, but said it should be a matter to be decided after the question of guilt or innocence is resolved in court.

“Not only has Defendant failed to show that ASD is equivalent to an intellectual disability for death penalty exemption purposes, he has not shown there is national consensus against subjecting individuals with ASD to capital punishment,” Hippler wrote in the order.

“ASD may be mitigating factor to be weighed against the aggravating factors in determining if defendant should receive the death penalty, but it is not a death-penalty disqualifier.”

Hippler’s order also dismissed a defense argument that extensive media coverage that referred to Kohberger traits that could be linked to autism — such as his “deadpan look,” “robot-like walk,” “cold iciness, “rigid posture” — made it impossible that any decision on punishment would be fair to the defendant.

“He argues the media is demonizing him for his disability while at the same time emphasizing the brutality of the crime,” Hippler wrote. “This, he warns, will overpower any mitigating arguments based on ASD and poses risk that he will be sentenced based on his disability.”

However, Hippler noted, the effect of media coverage could be dealt with during jury selection, during Kohberger’s trial, and during any penalty phase.

According to the Idaho Statesman, the autism disability argument was one of several the defense team has offered to try to get a potential death penalty removed from the case.

Their efforts have “included arguments that capital punishment is unconstitutional, breaks with evolving standards of decency, violates international law and is arbitrarily applied,” but Hippler has denied each one, the newspaper reported.

It noted that the latest effort was “likely” the last.

NEW: AG Pam Bondi Will Subpoena Journalists in Leak Investigations

Credit: Pam Bondi / X

US Attorney General Pam Bondi will subpoena journalists in leak investigations, according to a memo obtained by Axios.

Bondi is rescinding a Biden-era policy restricting the use of subpoenas to obtain information from members of the press.

In 2021, the Biden Justice Department, led by then-US Attorney General Merrick Garland, adopted a policy restricting the use of subpoenas to obtain reporter information:

The U.S. Department of Justice today formally adopted a new policy that restricts the use of compulsory process to obtain information from, or records of, members of the news media acting within the scope of newsgathering activities. Attorney General Merrick B. Garland announced the new policy, effective immediately, in a memo to Department leadership.

The Attorney General also reiterated his support for the durability of these policy changes. To further protect members of the news media in a manner that will be enduring, he asked the Deputy Attorney General to undertake a review process to further explain, develop, and codify the policy announced today into Department regulations. He also reaffirmed the Department’s support for congressional legislation to protect members of the news media.

Pam Bondi said it is necessary to rescind former AG Merrick Garland’s policies restricting the DOJ from compelling testimony or seeking records from journalists to identify leakers.

Axios reported:

Attorney General Pam Bondi said in an internal memo obtained by Axios that the Justice Department is rescinding her predecessor Merrick Garland’s policy restricting most subpoenas for journalists.

Why it matters: It is a sign that Bondi will continue the first Trump administration’s practice of trying to obtain reporters’ newsgathering materials in an effort to smoke out leakers.

“I have concluded that it is necessary to rescind Merrick Garland’s policies precluding the Department of Justice from seeking records and compelling testimony from members of the news media in order to identify and punish the source of improper leaks,” Bondi wrote.

Lawlessness on Full Display: Teen Girls Attack Police Officers Trying to Break Up Fight at California High School

Screenshot: ABC7 / Youtube

Two brave school police officers were viciously attacked by a mob of teenage girls while trying to break up a wild brawl outside Entrepreneur High School in Highland on Thursday afternoon.

The chaos erupted around 3 p.m. as San Bernardino school police responded to a fight breaking out in the school parking lot, ABC7 reported.

Instead of respecting the officers’ authority, multiple teenage girls escalated the violence — with one even punching a female officer and violently yanking her hair.

Footage captured by a witness and obtained by ABC7 shows the officers attempting to restore order amid the mayhem.

As the female officer managed to handcuff one girl on the ground, a male officer was seen urgently pushing back two other teens, yelling, “Back up, back up.”

More from the Daily Mail:

The wild brawl escalated further as another woman in a red top and sweatpants flew into the fight.

Squaring up face-to-face with the female officer, she appeared to say: ‘Don’t touch me… goddamn, we’re gonna fight.’

She approached one of the teen girls who was already handcuffed by one of the officers, telling her to ‘stop, stop’ and appearing to refer to the girl as her daughter.

After a brief moment where the officers and the woman spoke, the girl who was first put in handcuffs then attacked the female officer again.

‘Get the f*** off of her,’ the older woman in red yelled at the female officer as she defended herself from being struck by the teenager.

In a shocking act as the female officer confronted the older woman, another teen snuck up behind the cop and grabbed her by the hair.

Pete Hegseth Fired Up After Learning Obesity Rate Among Reserve Troops: ‘FIT, not FAT’

President Donald Trump’s administration has declared war on those who declared war on American citizens.

After all, among other things, the Trump administration values freedom, security, merit, and health. And those who declared war on American citizens did so in part by attacking all of those things.

Friday morning on the social media platform X, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth responded to an alarming new report about the incidence of obesity among National Guard and Reserve troops by calling the situation “completely unacceptable” and pledging a new military made up of “FIT, not FAT” service members.

“This is what happens when standards are IGNORED — and this is what we are changing. REAL fitness & weight standards are here,” Hegseth wrote.

Completely unacceptable.

This is what happens when standards are IGNORED — and this is what we are changing. REAL fitness & weight standards are here.

We will be FIT, not FAT. pic.twitter.com/KWMlFbS1c8

— Pete Hegseth (@PeteHegseth) April 25, 2025

American Security Project research analyst Katherine Yusko authored the new study.

“As operational demands on the U.S. Armed Forces’ reserve component increase, rising rates of weight-related illnesses in the National Guard and reserves present a growing threat to manpower, mission readiness, and service member well-being,” Yusko wrote.

She added that problems stemming from obesity “hamper reserve component readiness to respond to threats both overseas and at home.”

Thus, getting “FIT, not FAT” qualifies as a national-security imperative.

Moreover, one could scarcely exaggerate the scope of the problem.

“In order to respond quickly, safely, and effectively to a wide array of threats both at home and abroad, the reserve component must ensure that its service members are fit and healthy,” Yusko wrote. “As of 2018, however, more than 65 percent of reserve personnel have either clinical overweight or obesity. If reserve component rates have tracked active component trends in recent years, as they have done in the past, this figure has now climbed to nearly 68 percent.”

In other words, regardless of the precise figure, approximately two-thirds of reservists do not qualify as fit.

Of course, a story of this kind calls to mind problems that go beyond the military. And the solutions to those problems require coordination across the Trump administration.

For instance, reservists qualify as overweight or obese because many Americans do. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has pledged to end that chronic health problem.

Likewise, a military consisting of unfit reservists reflects a broader assault on merit, exemplified by diversity, equity, and inclusion. Fit individuals, no matter how they look or what identity-related characteristics they might have, belong in positions requiring fitness. Unfit individuals, no matter how many identity-related boxes they check, do not belong in those positions. That is literally the entire conservative objection to DEI, and it is the driving force behind Trump’s war on that ugly, Marxist-inspired ideology.

Furthermore, what better way to make war on American citizens than to throw open the nation’s borders? Coupled with an unfit military, an open border makes a mockery of national security. Trump has made remarkable progress toward ending that crisis, too.

In short, the problem of fitness among military reservists exists in a much larger context. Thankfully, Trump and his most capable officials, including Hegseth, have already taken steps to reverse the damage done by those in former President Joe Biden’s administration and elsewhere who, out of disdain for the country and its people, made war on American citizens.

JUST IN: Clinton Judge Blocks Trump’s Executive Order to Strip Federal Workers’ Union Rights

Paul Friedman.

A federal judge on Friday blocked President Trump’s executive order to strip federal workers of their ‘collective bargaining’ rights.

Last month President Trump issued an executive order blocking hundreds of thousands of federal workers in HHS, Veterans, Treasury and other federal agencies.

The National Treasury Employees Union sued the Trump Administration in response to the executive order.

US District Judge Paul Friedman, a Clinton appointee, blasted Trump earlier this week during a hearing on this case.

“So, he’s willing to be kind to those that work with him, but those that have sued him, those that have filed grievances, those that have complained against him, he’s not going to bargain with,” Judge Friedman said, according to Politico. “I mean how else can you read what he’s done?”

On Friday, Friedman called Trump’s executive order “unlawful” and enjoined all defendants except President Trump. He said he would release an opinion in the next few days.

AP reported:

A federal judge on Friday temporarily blocked the Trump administration from implementing an executive order that a labor union says would cancel collective bargaining rights for hundreds of thousands of federal employees.

U.S. District Judge Paul Friedman ruled that a key part of President Donald Trump’s March 27 order can’t be enforced at roughly three dozen agencies and departments where employees are represented by the National Treasury Employees Union.

The union, which represents nearly 160,000 federal government employees workers, sued to challenge Trump’s order. The union said it would lose more than half of its revenue and over two-thirds of its membership if the judge denied its request for a preliminary injunction.

RINO Rep. Don Bacon Weighs Retirement Amid Growing Conservative Backlash

Credit: Matt A.J.

Republican Rep. Don Bacon (NE-02), long considered a thorn in the side of the conservative grassroots movement, is reportedly weighing retirement amid a surge of backlash from GOP voters tired of his repeated betrayals.

Speaking to NOTUS on Friday, Bacon confirmed he is discussing with his family whether to seek reelection next year, promising a final decision by late summer.

“It is a family decision,” Bacon told the news outlet.

But behind closed doors, insiders suggest the writing is already on the wall. Three sources told NOTUS that Bacon is seriously considering an exit — a decision that would mark a victory for conservatives but create a tough battleground for Republicans defending the suburban Omaha district, where Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris won by over 4 points in 2024.

While the media might frame Bacon’s departure as a loss for the GOP, many conservative activists view it as an opportunity to finally replace a lawmaker who has consistently sided with Democrats, globalists, and the “Uniparty” at the expense of the America First movement.

Bacon’s Long List of Betrayals

Opposing Jim Jordan’s Speakership Bid (2023): Bacon was a vocal opponent of Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), a conservative icon, during the 2023 House Speaker race. He not only voted against Jordan but publicly called him a “loser” on social media, accusing Jordan’s supporters of breaking election rules.

Backing Kevin McCarthy and Threatening to Work with Democrats (2023): Bacon fiercely defended former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, even after his ousting. In a Daily Caller op-ed, he slammed conservative holdouts and suggested he’d partner with moderate Democrats to elect a “more moderate” Republican speaker.

Comparing America First to Nazi Germany (2023): Bacon allegedly likened the Trump-aligned America First movement to Nazi Germany, a direct attack on the conservative base.

Bipartisan Votes Alienating Conservatives: He backed the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill in 2021, one of only 13 Republicans to do so, prompting President Donald Trump to single him out at a 2022 rally. He also supported the Respect for Marriage Act (2022), codifying same-sex marriage, and co-sponsored the Emmett Till Antilynching Act, moves critics argue align with progressive agendas.

Nebraska RINO Rep. Don Bacon Attacks Trump Officials For ‘Intentional’ Security Breach: Nebraska RINO Don Bacon has lambasted Trump officials for the security breach that led to war plans being linked to the media.

RINO Rep. Don Bacon Calls for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to be Fired: Rep. Don Bacon echoed Democrat talking points by publicly calling for President Trump to fire Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth — all based on a debunked New York Times smear.

Far-left The New York Times Drops Another Hit Piece on Pete Hegseth About His Personal Phone Use

Image: Wikimedia Commons (DOD photo by Chad J. McNeeley)

Another day, another attack on Pete Hegseth.

The New York Times dropped a hit piece on Pete Hegseth over his personal phone usage.

According to The Times, Hegseth’s personal phone number, which was used in a Signal chat, was publicly available on Facebook and fantasy sports sites, exposing him to hackers.

It is totally normal for government employees to use their personal phones.

The New York Times reported:

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s personal phone number, the one used in a recent Signal chat, was easily accessible on the internet and public apps as recently as March, potentially exposing national security secrets to foreign adversaries.

The phone number could be found in a variety of places, including WhatsApp, Facebook and a fantasy sports site. It was the same number through which the defense secretary, using the Signal commercial messaging app, disclosed flight data for American strikes on the Houthi militia in Yemen.

Cybersecurity analysts said an American defense secretary’s communications device would usually be among the most protected national security assets.

“There’s zero percent chance that someone hasn’t tried to install Pegasus or some other spyware on his phone,” Mike Casey, the former director of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center, said in an interview. “He is one of the top five, probably, most targeted people in the world for espionage.”

Pete Hegseth was hit with another round of leaks on Thursday after several top aides had been fired for leaking.

The attacks against Pete Hegseth’s use of Signal began last month after Jeffrey Goldberg, the anti-Trump editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, claimed he was accidentally added to a secure Signal group chat where top Trump administration officials discussed sensitive military operations against Iran-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen.

The Biden Administration installed Signal on government-issued computers, but use of the app only became a scandal during the Trump Administration.

According to a leak to the Washington Post on Wednesday night, Pete Hegseth installed Signal on his desktop at the Pentagon as a way to circumvent ‘the lack of cellphone service’ in the Pentagon.

Hegseth’s spox Sean Parnell hit back and told WaPo the Defense Secretary “has never used and does not currently use Signal on his government computer.”

On Thursday, a leak to the Associated Press expanded on the Pentagon computer leak to WaPo.

The AP reported that Hegseth used an unsecured internet line that ‘bypassed the Pentagon’s security protocols’ so he could use Signal at his office.

The latest attack comes as it was reported that Hegseth’s Chief of Staff Joe Kasper will leave his position at the Pentagon after three other Hegseth aides were fired last week.

“Rise Up”: Democrat Senators Erupt in Anger Over Trump Admin’s Arrest of Wisconsin Judge for Helping Illegal Alien Evade Arrest by ICE

Democrat Senators erupted in anger Friday over news of the arrest by the Trump administration of a Wisconsin judge for helping an illegal alien evade arrest by ICE agents by helping him sneak out the back of her courtroom.

Image via Hannah Dugan for Judge.

Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan was arrested by the FBI Friday morning at her courthouse and was later released with a federal court date of May 15. Duggan is accused of thwarting a planned arrest of Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, an illegal alien from Mexico who was set to face domestic violence charges involving his roommates in her courtroom on April 18. Dugan allegedly sent the federal agents away to speak with the chief judge and then snuck the illegal and his attorney out a back door. Flores-Ruiz was caught outside the courthouse after a foot chase.

The 13 page criminal complaint against Dugan can be read here:

The facts of the case are clear and convincing based on eyewitness accounts of court officers and the federal agents. Yet, Democrats, who most recently have sided with MS-13 and Tren de Aragua illegal alien gang members, threw their support behind a judge who is accused of literally obstructing justice to protect illegal aliens. A sampling of their comments:

Make no mistake, we do not have kings in this country and we are a Democracy governed by laws that everyone must abide by. By relentlessly attacking the judicial system, flouting court orders, and arresting a sitting judge, this President is putting those basic Democratic values that Wisconsinites hold dear on the line. While details of this exact case remain minimal, this action fits into the deeply concerning pattern of this President’s lawless behavior and undermining courts and Congress’s checks on his power.”

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) who caucuses with the Democrats (source link):

This morning, President Trump directed the FBI to arrest trial court judge Hannah Dugan in Milwaukee. She is being charged with obstructing law enforcement, a federal crime.

Let’s be clear. Trump‘s arrest of Judge Dugan in Milwaukee has nothing to do with immigration. It has everything to do with his moving this country toward authoritarianism. He is illegally usurping Congressional powers. He is suing media that he dislikes. He is attacking universities whose policies he disagrees with. He is intimidating major law firms who have opposed him. He is ignoring a 9-0 Supreme Court decision to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia back from El Salvador, where he was illegally sent. He is threatening to impeach judges who rule against him.

Trump’s latest attack on the judiciary and Judge Dugan is about one thing – unchecked power. He will attack and undermine any institution that stands in his way. Trump continues to demonstrate that he does not believe in the Constitution, the separation of powers, or the rule of law. He simply wants more and more power for himself. It is time for my colleagues in the Republican Party who believe in the Constitution to stand up to his growing authoritarianism.

Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary for the Department of Homeland Security, posted a statement on the illegal alien Democrats are supporting and whom Judge Dugan is accused of helping to evade arrest by ICE:

This is the criminal illegal alien that the Milwaukee Circuit judge attempted to shield from justice. He has a laundry list of violent criminal charges including strangulation and suffocation, battery, and domestic abuse. Ruiz illegally entered the US twice.

Since President Trump was inaugurated, activist judges have tried to obstruct President Trump and the American people’s mandate to make America safe and secure our homeland— but this judge’s actions to shield an accused violent criminal illegal alien from justice is shocking and shameful.

We are thankful for our partners at the FBI for helping remove this accused criminal from America’s streets.

If you are here illegally and break the law, we will hunt you down, arrest you and lock you up. That’s a promise.
