Pope Francis Possible Cause of Death Revealed

The Vatican confirmed Monday that Pope Francis has died at the age of 88 in his residence at Casa Santa Marta, ending a controversial decade-long papacy marked by globalist overtures, divisive political stances, and growing health concerns.

Now, Italian media are reporting the likely cause of death: a cerebral hemorrhage, possibly a stroke, occurring just hours after the Pope awoke for morning prayer.

According to the Daily Mail, citing La Repubblica and La Stampa, sources close to the pontiff’s medical team revealed that the stroke was not related to the severe respiratory issues and double pneumonia that had plagued him in February and led to a lengthy hospitalization.

Despite being reportedly advised to rest for at least two months, Pope Francis ignored medical warnings and resumed public-facing duties—including an extended appearance during Easter Sunday Mass.

The Vatican’s Camerlengo of the Apostolic Chamber, Cardinal Kevin Farrell, announced that the Pope died at 7:35 AM in Vatican City.

“Dearest brothers and sisters, with deep sorrow I must announce the death of our Holy Father Francis. At 7:35 this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the house of the Father,” Farrell said in a statement.

“His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and of His Church. He taught us to live the values of the Gospel with fidelity, courage, and universal love, especially in favor of the poorest and most marginalized. With immense gratitude for his example as a true disciple of the Lord Jesus, we commend the soul of Pope Francis to the infinite merciful love of the One and Triune God.”

Francis had long battled chronic respiratory ailments, including a partially removed lung from his youth, which many close to him feared had made him especially vulnerable during his final months.

According to Vatican News, in 1957, while in his early 20s, Jorge Mario Bergoglio underwent surgery in his native Argentina to remove part of his lung following a severe respiratory infection.

As he aged, Pope Francis continued to experience recurring respiratory issues, including a bout of influenza and lung inflammation that forced him to cancel a scheduled visit to the United Arab Emirates in November 2023.

The pontiff was admitted to the hospital on February 14, presenting symptoms of bronchitis. His frail health quickly devolved into double pneumonia — a dangerous condition for someone who, like Francis, had one lung removed as a young man.

“The doctor said it was the pope’s personal nurse, Massimiliano Strappetti, who urged the medical team to keep up the treatment in the wake of the vomiting episode.”

For days, the medical team risked damage to Francis’ kidneys and bone marrow, but the 88-year-old finally responded to the heavy medication and his infection subsided.

The Vatican has announced that Pope Francis’ body will lie in state at St. Peter’s Basilica for three days, starting as early as Wednesday. His final resting place will be in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome.

According to reports, the Conclave—where cardinals gather in the Sistine Chapel at the Vatican to elect a new pope—will not take place for at least 15 days.

While the mainstream press mourns the death of the Church’s first Latin American pope, many conservatives remember Francis as a divisive figure who turned the Vatican into a platform for leftist activism. From championing open borders and climate alarmism to embracing radical social agendas that stood in stark contrast to centuries of Catholic teaching, Francis increasingly alienated traditional Catholics across the globe.

His tenure saw frequent clashes with bishops who pushed back on doctrinal drift, and many faithful accused the Pope of prioritizing global political narratives over spiritual leadership.

Trans Activists Call for JK Rowling’s Hanging, Deface Nelson Mandela Statue After UK Supreme Court Ruling

Screenshot / Sky News

Transgender activists in Britain have not taken well to the country’s recent Supreme Court decision.

Last week, Britain’s Supreme Court ruled that the term “woman” can only refer to a biological female.

“The unanimous decision of this court is that the terms woman and sex in the Equality Act 2010 refer to a biological woman and biological sex,” Patrick Hodge, deputy president of the Supreme Court, said as he delivered his judgment on Wednesday.

“Therefore, a person with a Gender Recognition Certificate in the female gender does not come within the definition of a ‘woman’ under the Equality Act 2010 and the statutory guidance issued by the Scottish ministers is incorrect.”

Trans activists responded by taking to the streets over the weekend, where they vandalized a statue of South African leader Nelson Mandela and called for the hanging of the gender-critical Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling.

According to police, statues of Sir Robert Peel, Benjamin Disraeli, and the suffragist Millicent Fawcett were also defaced during the demonstrations, which were held in Parliament Square rally on Saturday.

Ah yes, protests for “trans rights.” The only demonstrations where men can proudly and publicly assemble in #ParliamentSquare to call for women to be killed.

Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch condemned the protests, accusing the protesters of “criminal incitement.”

A mob of trans-activists waving death threats at women isn’t protest—it’s criminal incitement. If the law isn’t enforced, we don’t have equality, we have two-tier justice.

It’s time for Labour to stop being on the side of these extremists and start defending women. https://t.co/CJKC4ZTesb

— Kemi Badenoch (@KemiBadenoch) April 20, 2025

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper also condemned the protests after the Labour Party said they would accept the ruling.

“Criminal damage like this, including to statues of men and women who fought for freedom and justice like Winston Churchill, Nelson Mandela and Millicent Fawcett, is disgraceful,” Cooper said in a statement.

“It is right that the police are investigating,” she continued. We are strengthening the law to better respect and protect important memorials.”

”Freedom of speech and protest are important in our democracy, but this kind of criminal damage is completely unacceptable.”

“He Will Have to Account for the Crimes He Has Committed” – Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò Publishes Scathing Response to News of Pope Francis’s Death

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò was a frequent critic of Pope Francis during his reign. Viganò frequently spoke out against the pope’s support for open borders and socialism.

In response to Vigano’s constant condemnation, Pope Francis had him excommunicated in July 2024 for schism.

Archbishop Vigano stood up against the destruction of the church, COVID mandates that crushed individual rights worldwide, and stolen elections. He called out the Pope for his destructive actions against the Church and others like support for the World Economic Forum. For this, he was excommunicated from the Holy Catholic Church.

On Monday, following Francis’s death, Carlo Maria Viganò published a scathing report on Francis reign over the Catholic Church. Viganò did not hold back.

In 2018, Eugenio Scalfari reported the words that Bergoglio supposedly confided to him about his vision of the afterlife:

“Sinful souls are not punished: those who repent obtain God’s forgiveness and join the ranks of souls who contemplate him, but those who do not repent and cannot therefore be forgiven disappear. There is no hell, sinful souls simply disappear”.

These heretical ravings are directly opposed to the Catholic Faith, which teaches us that there is a particular Judgment for everyone, which Bergoglio could not escape. His soul has therefore not disappeared, nor has it dissolved: he will have to account for the crimes he has committed, first of all having usurped the throne of Peter in order to destroy the Catholic Church and loose so many souls.

But if this non-pope and anti-pope can no longer harm the Mystical Body, his heirs still remain, the subversives whom he has invalidly created “cardinals” and who have long been organizing themselves to ensure a continuator of the synodal revolution and the destructuring of the Papacy. In support of them are also the conservative Cardinals and Bishops who have been careful not to question the legitimacy of Jorge Bergoglio. It is on these people that the greatest responsibility for the outcome of the next “conclave” falls.

Here is his tweet.

Pentagon Denies New York Times Report with Anonymous Sources Accusing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth of Leaking Yemen Strike Details in Second Private Signal Chat with Wife, Brother, and Lawyer

(DoD photo by U.S. Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Alexander Kubitza)

In yet another desperate attempt to undermine President Trump’s administration, The New York Times published a baseless report accusing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth of leaking sensitive Yemen strike details in a private Signal chat.

The Pentagon has swiftly and forcefully denied these allegations, with Chief Spokesman Sean Parnell labeling the story as “fake news” driven by disgruntled former employees with clear motives to sabotage Hegseth and Trump’s agenda.

This latest attack comes on the heels of the firing of three former Pentagon officials—Dan Caldwell, Darin Selnick, and Colin Carroll—accused of leaking unauthorized information.

The Times claims Hegseth shared details of a March 15 Yemen strike in a Signal group chat named “Defense | Team Huddle,” which included his wife, Jennifer, his brother, Phil, and his personal lawyer, Tim Parlatore.

The article further alleges that Hegseth shared similar details in another chat that mistakenly included The Atlantic’s editor, Jeffrey Goldberg.

These accusations, sourced from four anonymous individuals, lack any concrete evidence and reek of political vendetta.

The New York Times reported:

Unlike the chat in which The Atlantic was mistakenly included, the newly revealed one was created by Mr. Hegseth. It included his wife and about a dozen other people from his personal and professional inner circle in January, before his confirmation as defense secretary, and was named “Defense | Team Huddle,” the people familiar with the chat said. He used his private phone, rather than his government one, to access the Signal chat.

The continued inclusion following Mr. Hegseth’s confirmation of his wife, brother and personal lawyer, none of whom had any apparent reason to be briefed on operational details of a military operation as it was getting underway, is sure to raise further questions about his adherence to security protocols.

[…]

Mr. Hegseth created the separate Signal group initially as a forum for discussing routine administrative or scheduling information, two of the people familiar with the chat said. The people said Mr. Hegseth typically did not use the chat to discuss sensitive military operations and said it did not include other cabinet-level officials.

Mr. Hegseth shared information about the Yemen strikes in the “Defense | Team Huddle” chat at roughly the same time he was putting the same details in the other Signal chat group that included senior U.S. officials and The Atlantic, the people familiar with Mr. Hegseth’s chat group said.

[…]

In the case of Mr. Hegseth’s Signal group, a U.S. official declined to comment on whether Mr. Hegseth shared detailed targeting information but maintained that there was no national security breach.

But according to the Pentagon, the entire narrative is nothing more than a politically motivated smear campaign aimed at derailing the Trump administration’s bold military leadership and undermining Secretary Hegseth’s credibility as he continues to clean house at the Department of Defense.

Sean Parnell, Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs and Chief Pentagon Spokesman, slammed the Times article in a blistering statement:

“Another day, another old story—back from the dead. The Trump-hating media continues to be obsessed with destroying anyone committed to President Trump’s agenda.

This time, the New York Times — and all other Fake News that repeat their garbage — are enthusiastically taking the grievances of disgruntled former employees as the sole sources for their article.

They relied only on the words of people who were fired this week and appear to have a motive to sabotage the Secretary and the President’s agenda.

There was no classified information in any Signal chat, no matter how many ways they try to write the story. What is true is that the Office of the Secretary of Defense is continuing to become stronger and more efficient in executing President Trump’s agenda.

We’ve already achieved so much for the American warfighter, and will never back down.”

Following the Times’ latest hit piece, the Democrat Party officially called for Hegseth to resign. The verified Democrat Party account on X posted bluntly:

“@PeteHegseth needs to go.”

In classic Hegseth fashion, the Secretary responded without hesitation:

“Your agenda is illegals, trans & DEI — all of which are no longer allowed @ DoD.”

New in the Letitia Files: Did New York AG Letitia James Commit Insurance Fraud, Too? It Looks Like It

Guest post by Joel Gilbert

In the Gateway Pundit, I recently documented how Letitia James misrepresented the number of apartment units in her apartment building when applying for loans and refinancing.

Letitia repeatedly told banks and the US government that her apartment building at 296 Lafayette Avenue in Brooklyn only had four apartment units, when in fact the official Certificate of Occupancy for her building indicates it had five.

Letitia James lied about her property in Brooklyn being a 4-family dwelling when she knew it was a 5-family dwelling. This helped her save money on her insurance premiums.

The significance is that Letitia qualified for lower interest residential rates with only four units, while five-apartment units are assigned higher commercial rates. In addition, James obtained a government HAMP loan that was not even vailable to borrowers with more than four units.

Letitia James lied when she signed legal papers stating her dwelling was a 4-family flat.

Separate from the Brooklyn building, Sam Antar has documented, on his. website White Collar Fraud, that Letitia James claimed that a home she purchased in Norfolk, Virginia, would be her primary residence, a designation that also garners more favorable loan terms from banks.

Bill Pulte, Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, sent a criminal referral to the US Justice Department citing these problems in Letitia James’s mortgage history.

Now scrutiny is shifting to insurance fraud.

Firstly, this regards James’s claim of residence for a home mortgage in Norfolk, Virgina. Whether a home is owner-occupied or not plays a significant role in how insurance companies determine rates for homeowners’ insurance.

Owner-occupied homes – the primary residence in which the homeowner actually lives – are typically considered lower risk by insurers. They believe that these home are better and regularly maintained and monitored, and that issues like water damage, fire, or theft are more likely to be caught early or prevented altogether.

As a result, insurance premiums for owner-occupied homes are generally lower. These policies often come with standard coverage packages, such as HO-3 policies, which include protection for the dwelling, personal property, liability, and loss of use.

In contrast, non-owner-occupied homes, such as rental properties, vacation homes, or vacant houses, pose a higher risk and usually come with higher premiums.

For rental properties, landlords need specialized insurance (often called DP-3 policies) that covers the dwelling, liability, and potential loss of rental income.

Since tenants may not maintain the property as carefully as a homeowner would, the risk of damage increases, leading to more expensive coverage.

Vacant homes are considered even riskier due to the potential for vandalism, theft, and undetected damage. These often require separate vacant home insurance policies with limited terms and elevated costs.

Ultimately, insurance companies base their rates on perceived risk. Whether or not a home is owner-occupied is a key factor in that calculation.

Regarding Letita James’s claim of only four units in her apartment building in Brooklyn, insurance policies for apartment buildings vary significantly based on the number of units, with a major distinction occurring between buildings with four or fewer units and those with five or more.

Properties with up to four units – such as duplexes, triplexes, or fourplexes – are typically treated as residential properties for insurance purposes. These buildings often qualify for standard residential insurance policies, such as a Dwelling Property (DP-3) policy or even a Homeowners (HO-3) policy if the owner occupies one of the units.

These residential policies are relatively straightforward, come with lower premiums, and usually include coverage for the building structure, liability, loss of rental income, and optional protection for items like appliances. Since these properties are smaller and often self-managed, insurance companies consider them lower risk.

In contrast, buildings with five or more units are generally classified as commercial properties and require a more expensive commercial property insurance policy. These larger buildings face greater risk due to the higher number of tenants, increased maintenance needs, and more complex liability exposure.

As a result, commercial insurance policies are more comprehensive and customizable, often including coverage for the building itself, general liability, loss of rental income or business interruption, equipment breakdown, ordinance or law compliance, and even crime or vandalism protection.

The underwriting process for these policies is more rigorous and may involve property inspections or detailed financial disclosures. Because of the higher risk and broader coverage, premiums for commercial apartment insurance are typically much higher.

In many cases, these properties are managed by professional firms rather than individual landlords. Understanding the difference between residential and commercial classification is essential for property owners to ensure they have the appropriate coverage to protect their investment.

By misrepresenting both the residency status for her Norfolk home, and the number of units in her Brooklyn apartment building, Letitia James may well have broken the law.

If an individual knowingly provides false information to an insurer, particularly during the claims process, the act may be classified as insurance fraud – a serious criminal offense.

Unlike minor errors or omissions, intentional misrepresentation is treated as a deliberate attempt to deceive the insurance company for financial gain. Insurance fraud can lead to significant legal consequences, including substantial fines, court-ordered restitution, and even jail time, especially in cases involving large claims or repeated offenses.

In many states, insurance fraud is prosecuted as a felony, carrying long-term consequences such as a permanent criminal record. Authorities take these cases seriously, and insurers actively investigate suspicious claims, often with the help of fraud detection units and industry databases.

Being convicted of insurance fraud not only results in legal penalties but can also destroy a person’s credibility and future insurability. As Ms. James reminded us repeatedly during her legal harassment of Donald Trump, no one is above the law, not even Letitia James.

JUST IN: President Trump and Vice President Vance Speak Out Following the Death of Pope Francis

Pope Francis Photo courtesy of Catholic News Agency.

President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance have weighed regarding the sad passing of Pope Francis early this morning.

As Jim Hoft reported, Pope Francis (born Jorge Mario Bergoglio), the first Latin American pontiff, died early Monday morning at the age of 88. His passing came after battling a serious health issue.

In February, Francis, long criticized by conservatives for steering the Church into left-wing political activism rather than defending tradition and morality, began suffering from a serious respiratory infection, which eventually developed into double pneumonia—an aggressive infection that inflames both lungs.

A Vatican statement confirmed that the pope underwent a chest CAT scan, revealing the onset of double pneumonia.

The statement added, “polymicrobial infection, which has arisen in the context of bronchiectasis and asthmatic bronchitis, and has required the use of corticosteroid and antibiotics, makes the therapeutic treatment more complex.”

On Easter Sunday morning, just a day before his death, Pope Francis held a brief private meeting with Vance at the Casa Santa Marta shortly after 11:30 a.m. According to the Holy See Press Office, the meeting lasted only a few minutes and served as an opportunity to exchange Easter greetings.

Vance, a devout Catholic, issued a poignant statement on Truth Social regarding Francis’s passing, the meeting they had, and what he would always remember Francis for.

“I just learned of the passing of Pope Francis,” Vance wrote. “My heart goes out to the millions of Christians all over the world who loved him.”

“I was happy to see him yesterday, though he was obviously very ill,” he added. “But I’ll always remember him for the below homily he gave in the very early days of COVID. It was really quite beautiful.”

“May God rest his soul.”

I just learned of the passing of Pope Francis. My heart goes out to the millions of Christians all over the world who loved him.

I was happy to see him yesterday, though he was obviously very ill. But I’ll always remember him for the below homily he gave in the very early days…

— JD Vance (@JDVance) April 21, 2025

Trump’s statement, issued a short time ago, was much shorter though quite heartfelt as well.

“Rest in Peace Pope Francis!” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “May God Bless him and all who loved him!”

Most Festive Holy Week in White House History – Grand Finale Today with Easter Egg Roll

President Trump joyously unveils a mascot Easter bunny in 2018

The most festive Holy Week in White House history will conclude with the annual Easter Egg Roll on the White House South Lawn, Monday.

This cherished annual event, expected to draw 40,000 people, according to a statement from President Trump, could not be held until the White House first participated in five consecutive days of prayer and service commemorating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ in 33 AD.

Suitably, the White House’s Holy Week celebrations began with President Trump hosting an Easter prayer dinner among faith leaders on Wednesday, April 16.

At the prayer dinner, President Trump told the history of Jesus Christ’s triumphant resurrection, and touted his newly created White House Faith Office.

On Thursday, April 17, the White House staff participated in a private prayer service honoring Holy Thursday.

One particularly moving moment during the service was captured by a Hillsdale College alumnus here:

On Good Friday, Vice President Vance landed in Rome, Italy. Accompanied by his family, Vice President Vance attended a Good Friday service at the historic Saint Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City.

On Holy Saturday, Vice President Vance returned to the Vatican City to meet with Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin and visit the Sistine Chapel.

Vice President Vance met with the now-late Pope Francis and attended Easter Sunday Mass in the Vatican City, while President Trump attended an Easter Sunday service at the White House.

To conclude the holiest week on the Christian calendar, the White House staff will volunteer to create a special and memorable day for God’s most precious gift, our children, at the annual Easter Egg Roll.

Bill Maher Tells Charlie Kirk What’s Really Destroying His Own Party

Charlie Kirk and Bill Maher. Screenshot from Club Random Podcast with edit.

This article originally appeared on vigilantfox.com and was republished with permission.

On the latest episode of Club Random, Bill Maher sat down with Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk for what many expected to be a clash of political opposites.

But what unfolded was something far more surprising: a candid, wide-ranging conversation that revealed just how much common ground these two actually share—especially when it comes to calling out the modern left.

It kicked off with a sharp joke from Kirk, who warned Maher that the “purple-hair jihadis” would be coming for him next.

“They want to kill me just as bad. Oh, they really do!” Maher responded. He explained, “They hate their own apostates more. I’m supposed to get on the short bus to crazy town with them—and I won’t.”

From there, Maher began to draw a clear line between classic liberal values and what he called the “woke” ideology taking over the Democratic Party.

“I am one of them! They’re not one of me,” he said. “Liberal and woke are two completely different things—woke is very often the opposite.”

Maher explained, “Liberalism is, let’s live in a colorblind society. That’s the goal. Woke’s goal is, ‘We see race everywhere.’ Liberal is, ‘There’s a two-state solution.’ Woke is ‘river to the sea.’”

Then came a line that cut to the core of his frustration: “You got off the F-train, you fell asleep, and you got off at 20 stops too far. Don’t blame me for that.”

What started as a typical podcast on Club Random quickly turned into something way more revealing. @charliekirk11 and Bill Maher weren’t clashing on everything—they were connecting over one uncomfortable truth: the woke cult is tearing the country apart.

It began with a jab… pic.twitter.com/wv4cEvOYIw

The conversation pivoted to an issue even some liberals are struggling to defend: women’s sports. Kirk praised Maher for speaking out.

“You deserve credit for being a liberal that acknowledges male-female distinctions,” he said.

“Oh, of course! Of all the low-lying fruit the Democrats just hand the Republicans to win elections, that’s the one,” Maher responded.

Kirk grinned and asked, “Are they really gonna let us win every national election on this no-men-in-women’s-sports thing?”

Maher answered bluntly: “It’s so ridiculous.”

He cited the stat that 890 trophies had already gone to biological males competing in women’s events—and even pointed out that California’s own Gavin Newsom had backed away from the debate.

“You lost Gavin Newsom on this,” he said. “Take that as a hint.”

The conversation then shifted—this time to an issue even many liberals have started to question——sports.

“You deserve credit for being a liberal that acknowledges male-female distinctions,” Kirk said.

Maher didn’t hesitate:

“Oh, of course! Of all the low-lying fruit the… pic.twitter.com/Lt96BAnHnd

— The Vigilant Fox (@VigilantFox) April 20, 2025

Then came the part no one saw coming. Maher opened up about a recent dinner he had with President Trump—and pushed back on the idea that engaging with him was somehow off-limits.

“I voted for Obama, I voted for Clinton,” Maher said. “But the idea that I could talk to them as freely as I felt this conversation was going, is emblematic to me of why the Democrats lose the elections. Because they just don’t feel that this is like a real person.”

He got even more honest: “And I know it’s so weird to say that about Donald Trump, who I’ve said a jillion times is, you know, a whiny little b*tch, I could go through my greatest hits of insults. But this was about getting past that and maybe seeing that if we met in person, we don’t hate each other as much. And we don’t!”

“I’m sorry, I’m not going to pretend that’s a bad thing,” Maher added.

Then came the part no one saw coming.

Maher acknowledged his dinner with President Trump—and made it clear he wasn’t going to pretend it was a bad thing.

That’s when he dropped the line about Trump that will have Democrats in shambles:

“I voted for Obama, I voted Clinton,” he… pic.twitter.com/Be0Jf5X6hF

— The Vigilant Fox (@VigilantFox) April 20, 2025

That’s when Kirk delivered a line that stopped the conversation cold.

“You had more moral courage than pastors I know who went along with the woke crazy train,” he said. “You deserve credit for that—because it came at a high cost.”

Maher nodded in agreement. For a moment, the two ideological opposites sounded completely in sync. Maher didn’t sugarcoat his assessment of what’s dragging his party down.

“Until we get rid of that sh*t, they’re never going to win another election,” he said.

Kirk replied, “They’re not going to take political advice from me.”

Maher responded, “No, but they might from me. Not the 10%—but that’s 10%. They’re very loud, but that’s it.”

Then came a quote that’s never felt more relevant: “As FDR once said, ‘I welcome their hatred.’”

That’s when Kirk hit Maher with a line that stopped the conversation cold—and sparked one of the most powerful moments of their exchange.

Two men with very different worldviews just exposed what many Americans already sense: the far left isn’t leading the Democrats forward. It’s dragging them down. And unless the party finds the courage to cut that anchor loose, it’s going to sink with it.

Climate Nutjobs Target Pet Dogs for Being ‘Environmental Villains’

Full disclosure before going any further: I love dogs. Have three myself. I fully subscribe to the “man’s best friend” moniker when it comes to canines.

(But no, I never celebrated Father’s Day until I had actual human children.)

In a soon-to-be-related note, I am not against preserving this planet, at all. This is the only earth that God gave us, and it would behoove us to be good stewards of it.

With that being said … When is enough going to be enough with these idiotic eco-zealots?

It’s one thing to want to be good stewards.

It’s another thing entirely to place every human being’s wants (let the people eat a freaking hamburger) and needs (like transportation and energy) last in comparison to the planet. That’s the antithesis of empathy and humanity, something the far left supposedly specializes in, especially compared to us conservative brethren.

What a farce. And it’s a farce that continues to self-parody itself more and more every day.

Look no further than this recent drivel from leftist rag Mother Jones: “Bad News for Man’s Best Friend: Dogs Are Environmental Villains.”

Since when did Fido become a James Bond villain? Citing recent “new research,” the outlet’s Donna Lu typed out — presumably with a straight face — that, “Dogs have ‘extensive and multifarious’ environmental impacts, disturbing wildlife, polluting waterways and contributing to carbon emissions.”

Apparently, the hall monitors in Australia reviewed various studies to determine that “the environmental impact of owned dogs is far greater, more insidious, and more concerning than is generally [recognized].”

The Australian argument almost devolves into leftist memes like (and these are real points made, though perhaps not with this level of dripping sarcasm): “Oh, won’t someone think of the Tasmanian penguins?!”, “But the bobcats will be LESS ACTIVE with dogs around!”, and “The entire multi-billion dollar pet food industry is equivalent to the 60th — 60th — most pollutant country!”

Thankfully, nobody died and made the likes of Greta Thunberg queen, so this utter nonsense was met with the derision it so scornfully deserved.

Just look at what happened on social media platform X:

Dogs, at least, are too intelligent to read Mother Jones.

If the Mother Jones building were burning and I had to choose between saving a trapped dog and the MJ staff. I’d probably go for the dog.

Look, just to be clear, I don’t want to laud people who exclusively replace people and/or children with dogs in their lives. That’s not healthy. God created man and animal different for a reason.

But for those of us with the mental maturity to treat canines like the four-legged best friends they are, we all know too well that that’s a special sort of bond that is hard to replicate in an increasingly cynical world. Unadulterated loyalty and trust are two things dogs will probably give us too easily, and yet those are two commodities that are practically impossible to find otherwise these days.

(Even on a pragmatic level, this writer will contend to his grave that a Remington and a Rottweiler will outclass any modern home security system.)

To denigrate them because of Tasmanian bobcats, or whatever that was, is so brain-dead you don’t even need to be told it comes from the left.

So, no thanks to Australia and Mother Jones. I frankly don’t give a damn if my dogs are bad for the environment.

They’re worth it.
