But recently, I sat down with a 50-year government insider who has advised not one but FOUR U.S. Presidential administrations. Along with the CIA, Treasury and Federal Reserve.

Along with the ongoing wave of misinformation surrounding deportations, the media and Twitter mobs are now spreading yet another myth: that U.S. banks are closing immigrant bank accounts or shutting down accounts simply because the holders are suspected of being non-citizens. Once again, these claims are either a gross misrepresentation of the truth, or outright lies. You can decide for yourself after reading the facts.

Under U.S. law, non-citizens are legally permitted to hold bank accounts. Financial institutions, routinely offer accounts to foreigners, provided they can verify identity and legal status through documents such as a passport, visa, or a taxpayer identification number. Typically, that means a Social Security Number (SSN) or an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) is required.

An ITIN is a nine-digit number issued by the IRS for tax filing purposes when the individual is ineligible for an SSN. Many temporary visa holders, such as international students or foreign workers, receive ITINs that are valid for the duration of their legal stay. However, there are multiple scenarios in which a bank account associated with an ITIN could be temporarily frozen due to compliance issues, not discrimination.

For example, an ITIN automatically expires if it hasn’t been used on a tax return for three consecutive years. Changes in immigration status may also affect whether the person is still eligible for an ITIN or required to obtain an SSN instead.

If a person extends their visa, their existing ITIN usually remains valid, provided it hasn’t expired due to non-use or IRS deactivation. However, it is still the account holder’s responsibility to notify the bank of the extension and to provide updated documentation to prevent any compliance interruptions.

When an immigrant’s legal status changes and they become eligible for a Social Security Number, they are required to stop using their ITIN. The new SSN is a completely different number, and the IRS must be notified so that the ITIN record can be merged with the SSN. Financial institutions must also be informed of the change.

If the bank continues to hold the outdated ITIN on file while the individual is now filing taxes or receiving employment income under an SSN, this can trigger an inconsistency. In such cases, the bank may flag the account and freeze access until the customer provides proof of the new SSN. Once verified, the bank will update its records and use the SSN as the official taxpayer ID, restoring access to the account. This process ensures compliance with federal Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.

Changes in visa category, such as switching from an F-1 student visa to an H-1B work visa, can also prompt banks to request updated documentation. If the customer fails to respond, the account may be frozen temporarily until the bank is able to confirm the updated legal status. Likewise, if a visa expires and the bank has not received updated proof of continued residency, it may restrict access until the situation is resolved.

Financial institutions are required by law to conduct regular reviews of customer documentation. If an account holder fails to respond to a request for updated ID, visa status, or taxpayer information, the bank may freeze the account as a precautionary measure. Furthermore, if there are inconsistencies between the taxpayer ID on file and the one being used in employment records or tax filings, this can raise red flags under AML protocols. Again, these freezes are lifted once the documentation is clarified.

In addition to standard KYC and AML regulations, banks must also comply with Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations, which prohibit financial transactions involving certain sanctioned individuals, entities, or countries. As a result, customers who were born in countries currently under U.S. sanctions may face additional scrutiny, even if they are now U.S. citizens. These reviews are not about immigration status but about legal obligations tied to foreign policy.

Countries that may fall into this high-risk category include Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, and several others facing U.S. sanctions or targeted financial measures. Banks have explained that in some cases, temporary restrictions are applied solely because a client’s background may require enhanced verification under OFAC guidelines. These regulations are binding, and failing to follow them would expose the bank to serious federal penalties.

In early 2025, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) issued a cease-and-desist order against Bank of America for deficiencies in its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and AML requirements. Although this enforcement action did not specifically target immigrant accounts, it did prompt the bank to adopt stricter protocols in verifying customer information, which may explain an increase in requests for updated documentation.

Consequently, Bank of America became one of the primary targets of social media outrage and media accusations, with claims circulating that the bank was freezing accounts belonging to immigrants or individuals suspected of being non-citizens.

Meanwhile, misinformation has been circulating on social media, falsely claiming that the federal government is freezing accounts simply because they are opened with ITINs. This is entirely untrue. Organizations like Enlace Latino NC have publicly debunked these viral claims, confirming that there is no federal directive ordering the closure of immigrant bank accounts. ITINs remain a legitimate form of taxpayer identification for individuals ineligible for SSNs, and many banks, Bank of America included, continue to accept them.

The bottom line is simple: banks are not targeting immigrants. They are complying with federal rules that apply to all customers. The panic being stirred on social media is based on misinterpretation or outright dishonesty.

President Trump on Wednesday nominated DOJ pitbull Emil Bove to serve as a judge on the Philadelphia-based Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Emil Bove served as Acting Deputy Attorney General before Todd Blanche took the position.

During his time as Acting DAG, Emil Bove fired federal prosecutors in the SDNY and dropped corruption charges against NYC Mayor Eric Adams.

Earlier this year Acting US Attorney for the SDNY Danielle Sassoon abruptly resigned just a few days after she was ordered to drop charges against NYC Mayor Eric Adams.

Emil Bove blasted Danielle Sassoon after she abruptly resigned in a blistering 8-page letter.

Bove said the DOJ will not tolerate the misconduct and insubordination.

After Sassoon stepped down, several other federal prosecutors followed her lead and resigned in protest.

Emil Bove had it and gave the remaining lawyers an option: drop the Adams case as instructed – or everyone will be fired.

Emil Bove asserted his authority after he pulled all of the remaining Public Integrity lawyers into one room and gave them one hour to decide who will dismiss Adams’ indictment or else everyone would be fired.

Leftist reporters have been coming after President Trump for years in various ways, but trying to call him a coward is undoubtedly a new approach. Not surprisingly, the president responded brilliantly to one who attempted this tactic today.

As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson reported, Trump on Wednesday attended the swearing in of former New York prosecutor, judge, and television personality Jeanine Pirro as Interim US Attorney for the District of Columbia. Trump promised she would “be an exceptional US Attorney for the District of Columbia” and there would be “very, very big improvements in the DC area.”

During the ceremony’s question-and-answer session, a so-called reporter portrayed Trump as a ‘chicken’ because of his approach to negotiating tariffs. Liberal stockbrokers have been reportedly telling one another to TACO (Trump Always Chickens Out) when hedging their bets on Trump’s trade policies.

But she was not ready for the Trump smackdown that followed.

President Donald Trump took questions from the media on Wednesday after Judge Jeanine Pirro was sworn in as interim US Attorney for the District of Columbia.

At one point, a reporter asked President Trump if he will pardon the men who were set up in the FBI’s Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping scam.

Question: “Will you pardon the people who are accused of conspiring to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer””

President Trump: “I am going to look at it. I will take a look at it. It’s been brought to my attention. I did watch the trial. It looked to me like somewhat of a railroad job. I’ll be honest with you. It looks to me like some people said some stupid things. You know they were drinking and they said some stupid things. But I’ll take a look at that.”

In an October 2020 press conference, before the 2020 election, the FBI announced it had thwarted a plot by a so-called “right-wing militia” to kidnap and kill Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

The Whitmer kidnapping plot was in the media 24/7 and used to bludgeon Trump with just a few weeks to go until Election Day.

The FBI used at least 12 informants in the Michigan Whitmer kidnapping case.

There were 6 defendants and 12 FBI informants identified as the case progressed.

The FBI planned the Whitmer attack, organized the attack, paid for the attack, and recruited local men to join in their planned attack.

We later learned that one FBI operative SLEPT WITH her target Barry Croft in the same bed and smoked pot with him during the FBI operation to set-up the innocent men.

She was a devoted FBI agent who gave her all for ‘justice.’

The case, which we now know was comprised of virtually all FBI agents and informants, took another devastating hit in August 2023.

Michael Hills, an attorney for Brandon Caserta, one of the six defendants, produced text messages showing an FBI field agent telling an informant to lie, frame an innocent man and delete text messages.

This is why federal prosecutors refused to hand over text messages and laptops from FBI informants in the Whitmer kidnapping case. The FBI actually hatched the plot. paid for the plot, ran the plot, and set up the innocent men in their immoral scheme.

Two men were found not guilty in the FBI’s made-up kidnapping case in Michigan and two men were released due to a hung jury back in April 2023.

The two men released by the hung jury were then sent back in court. Defendants Adam Fox and Barry Croft faced trial for the second time.

Both Adam Fox and Barry Croft were found guilty on all charges related to an attempt to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

The jury returned a verdict Tuesday (Aug. 23) and found Adam Fox, 39, guilty of conspiracy to kidnap the governor and conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction.

Barry Croft Jr., 46, was found guilty of conspiracy to kidnap the governor, conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction, and possession of an unregistered destructive device.

Prosecutors said some of the best evidence against Fox and Croft came from their own words, either written by them or secretly recorded by FBI agents and informants during weeks of surveillance in three states.

Defense lawyers, meanwhile, pounced on the FBI in their closing arguments, linking any scheme to rogue operatives, not a band of anti-government rebels.

These men were setup and destroyed by their government.

Trump is right – this was a railroad job.

Let’s hope these men are pardoned. And let’s pray the real villains have their day in court!

ICE arrested a Mexican illegal alien in Wisconsin who threatened to assassinate President Trump.

According to Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, in a mailed handwritten letter to an ICE agent, 54-year-old Ramon Morales Reyes said he was angry about the deportations of his family members and said he would use his gun to shoot President Trump in the head at a rally.

“DHS says Reyes illegally re-entered the US at least 9 times between 1998-2005, and has criminal convictions for felony hit and run, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct with domestic abuse,” Bill Melugin reported.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem provided a statement to Fox News:

Thanks to our ICE officers, this illegal alien who threatened to assassinate President Trump is behind bars. This threat comes not even a year after President Trump was shot in Butler, Pennsylvania and less that two weeks after former FBI Director Comey called for the President’s assassination. All politicians and members of the media should take notice of these repeated attempts on President Trump’s life and tone down their rhetoric. I will continue to take all measures necessary to ensure the protection of President Trump.”

West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey has again promised to keep fighting to protect girls’ sports as a “transgender” biological boy competed against girls in the state track championship.

A West Virginia law that banned boys and men from competing in female sports was blocked by a federal appeals court. The state has filed an appeal with the Supreme Court.

In a post to Facebook on Saturday, Morrisey wrote, “A boy is currently competing in girls’ sports at the high school state track meet in West Virginia. It’s wrong and unfair. I’m again urging officials to keep separate scores so that the true winners can be awarded once we win in court.”

“We will not stop fighting to protect girls’ sports,” the governor continued.

The legal battle against the law was filed by the American Civil Liberties Union and its West Virginia chapter on behalf of then-11-year-old Becky Pepper-Jackson, a biological boy who identified as a girl and wanted to play on female teams.

Morrisey’s post was also about Pepper-Jackson, now 13, who finished in third place in the discus and eighth in the shot put, according to a report from Fox News.

Morrisey has also called on coaches to allow girls to protest against boys competing against them.

“I believe what is going on right now in West Virginia – with boys playing sports against girls – to be abhorrent and contrary to law,” he previously wrote in a post on Facebook. “While we wait for the Supreme Court to issue their ruling in this case, I’m calling on all coaches involved to let these brave athletes take a stand for what is right without unfair punishment.

A federal judge on Tuesday lifted the restrictions on access to the Treasury’s payment system.

As previously reported, corrupt Obama Judge Paul Englemayer issued an ex parte Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) forbidding all of Trump appointees, including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, from accessing Department of Treasury data in response to a lawsuit filed by 19 Democrat state attorneys general.

The case was ultimately assigned to a Biden judge for a decision.

In February US District Judge Jeannette Vargas, a Biden appointee, responded to the Trump Admin’s emergency motion to dissolve, clarify or modify Englemayer’s ex parte TRO.

The Trump Admin argued in their motion papers that “the TRO contravenes Article II of the Constitution to the extent it applies to political appointees, in particular the Secretary of Treasury and other senior Treasury leadership.”

Judge Vargas previously kept most of the restrictions in place, but she allowed Secretary Bessent and other in Treasury leadership to access the payment system.

“There is nothing in the record to indicate that, prior to January 20, 2025, any statute, regulation, or agency policy prohibited the Secretary of Treasury or any other Senate-confirmed officer within the Treasury Department’s senior leadership from accessing any Treasury Department payment record, payment systems, or any other data systems maintained by the Treasury Department containing personally identifiable information and/or confidential financial information of payees,” Judge Vargas wrote in an 8-page order reviewed by The Gateway Pundit.

On Tuesday, Judge Vargas lifted the ban on DOGE workers from accessing the Treasury Department’s payment system and data.

Judge Vargas said the Trump Administration showed it was properly vetting DOGE workers.

A federal judge in New York on Tuesday cleared the way for the Treasury Department’s entire DOGE team to access the federal government’s sensitive data systems that manage trillions of dollars in payments each year.

U.S. District Judge Jeannette Vargas lifted the final legal restriction barring four Treasury DOGE staffers from accessing Treasury’s payments infrastructure. Vargas relaxed her earlier order, finding the Trump administration had shown it set up a process to appropriately vet and train the employees.

The ruling marks a win for the Trump administration, which set off a political and legal firestorm earlier this year for granting access to the payment systems to Elon Musk’s DOGE operation. The payment systems contain sensitive financial data on tens of millions of American citizens and businesses.

These statements expose a culture of fear and unchecked authority within the administration.

Border Czar Tom Homan issued a warning shot to Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell on Tuesday, signaling that he may already be under federal investigation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“I cannot confirm nor deny if ICE is investigating him, but we’ll see what plays out,” Homan told Fox host Laura Ingraham. “We’re going to hit every sanctuary city.”

This comes as O’Connell is already the subject of investigation in the House Homeland Security and Judiciary committees. As The Gateway Pundit reported, GOP Congressman Andy Ogles (TN) confirmed the investigation on Monday and said he will be formally requesting all documents from the mayor’s office.

The investigation stems from “an outrageous directive requiring Nashville employees and first responders to report all communication with federal immigration authorities directly to the Mayor,” says Ogles.

Homan has put leftist sanctuary state and city officials on notice several times, telling The Gateway Pundit, “If you cross that line of impidement or knowingly harboring and concealing illegal aliens, that is a felony, and we will treat it as such.”

So far, a former New Mexico judge and a Milwaukee County judge have been arrested for harboring and concealing illegal aliens in an apparent warning shot to sanctuary officials whose policies and noncompliance with ICE are obstructing justice.

Responding to Mayor O’Connell’s attempts to impede ICE and protect public safety threats, including sex offenders, violent criminals, gang members, and repeat border-crossers, Homan said ICE is “pay[ing] a lot of attention.”

Homan: I cannot confirm nor deny if ICE is investigating him, but we’ll see what plays out. And it isn’t just what he says; it’s what he does. So, I plan on going to Nashville in the near future, and I said that from day one that we’re going to hit every sanctuary city. Everybody who wants to push back against ICE, we’re going to pay a lot of attention to them.

That’s not a threat, but if you’re going to support criminal aliens walking the street, then we know there’s a problem there. We don’t have that problem like Florida; we’ve got Governor DeSantis 287(g) across the state. We get to spend less resources in Florida, knowing we have a system to get criminal aliens in every jail in that state. But when we’ve got places like Nashville, who’s pushing against us getting the bad guy, that’s where we’ve got to concentrate our resources to make those streets safer.

He ought to be thanking us for arresting the criminal aliens they arrested. They arrested, as you said earlier, a sex offender, several people that are convicted of violent crimes, gang members, and illegal aliens that were deported many times before, which means now they’re a felon. We made his streets safer. I’d think he would be nice, not attacking the men and women of ICE.
