The deranged left claims that President Donald Trump’s foreign policy is chaotic and has no broad goal. So it is good to see Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in a little-noticed 100-days statement, lay out the broad outlines of Trump’s foreign policy and thus his own department’s marching orders. Rubio managed to work in some “inside baseball” points as well, leaving clues as to how the State reorganization is proceeding.

Rubio, speaking next to Trump in the Oval Office, began with the bottom line up front: American foreign policy is going to be about American goals, not some sort of global largesse.

This President inherited 30 years of foreign policy built around what was good for the world. The decisions we made as a government in trade and foreign policy were basically, is it good for the world and the global community? And under President Trump, we are making foreign policy based on is it good for America. What that means is foreign policy is about three things: Does it make America stronger? Does it make America safer? Does it make America richer? If something doesn’t do those three things—and hopefully all three things—we are not doing it.

This explains Rubio’s gutting of a whole vertical stack of State Department offices on his revised organizational chart whose names begin with the word “global,” such as the Office for Global Women’s Issues. The current foreign policy system was built primarily around two ideas: that it was America’s responsibility to right all wrongs in the world to its own liking, and competition with the Russians during the Cold War to gain leverage in the developing nations of Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.

The latter faded with the shifts of history (though the Cold Warriors lurking in government would love to revive the Cold War using China as the punching bag). The former morphed under a succession of presidencies into things like the U.S. scolding the world about human rights (while ignoring the dark stains on our society at home) and pressing social justice programs empowering women, LGBT people, and minorities around the world in tune with woke America. That was Hillary Clinton’s State Department.

One of the main tools for enacting that kind of foreign policy is now gone, USAID. Rubio reminded everyone:

Foreign aid. We were funding some crazy stuff—crazy stuff! You tell me, how does a puppet show in some country around the world make us stronger, safer, more prosperous? So we got rid of the puppet shows and many other things. I’m sure they were very good puppet shows, and I’m sure some charity can go pay for it, but the American taxpayer should not.

The crazy projects way of doing business reached its high point in the nation-building fiascos in Iraq and Afghanistan. The social justice side of things may have found its pinnacle under the Biden administration, when Pride flags and Black Lives Matter banners were displayed outside many American embassies. It is certainly true that many countries treat their minorities poorly. It is less clear, Rubio seems to say, that fixing this is America’s business.

Rubio also laid claim to his department’s role in Trump’s mass deportation plans.

I say this unapologetically—we are actively searching for other countries to take people from third countries, not just El Salvador, but other countries, to say, “We want to send you the most despicable human beings to your countries. Will you do that as a favor to us?” The further away from America, the better, so they can’t come back across the border. I am not apologetic for that. The President was elected to keep America safe and get rid of a bunch of perverts and pedophiles and child rapists out of our country.

He then turned to his department’s own reorganization to meet the demands of the new administration.

We have stopped student visas for people who burn down our universities and take over libraries and harass people. Why are we giving student visas to people to create disruption? We have taken away student visas from people who came here to do that.

ICE does the heavy lifting of actually arresting and physically deporting illegal aliens from the United States, but it is the State Department, through its Visa Office in the Bureau of Consular Affairs, that actually issues the visas abroad. Rubio is calling for a new vision in those visa decisions, one that looks to the anticipated behavior of the applicant once in the U.S., not just his paper qualification for the visa itself. It is a change, if fully implemented, as drastic as those following 9/11 when visa officers were repurposed from basically tourism advocates to pseudo-law enforcement.

It is simple—if you are coming to America to start riots, we will not give you, and we will take away, a student visa. By the way, every country I have traveled to, 14 countries in 14 weeks, and you know what they say to me? “Yes, that is what we would do too.” The only people that seem to disagree are a handful of federal judges and a bunch of crazy people who get paid to write a report.

The State Department legally revokes visas. In line with this, Rubio announced “his officials are evaluating whether any of the anti-Israel protesters who invaded a Columbia University building [recently] should see their temporary visas revoked.” Rubio said on X that the State Department is “reviewing the visa status of the trespassers and vandals” after New York police made 80 arrests at the campus. A State Department spokesperson said, “We are upholding the highest standards of national security and public safety through our visa process.” That is a new emphasis under Rubio. Trump critics claim this “America First” policy will collide with the upcoming World Cup matches scheduled this year in the United States. Not so, said Rubio, explaining, “We have very talented consular affairs people, but technology, working with consultants, and millions of people coming into the country for this.”

Finally, Rubio praised State’s most public-facing office, the one that issues U.S. passports to the public.

Some of us who served in Congress recognized a year and a half ago we had a meltdown under Biden. You couldn’t get a passport. We had people calling in on Friday, “My passport expires,” and in the month of March, 2.78 million Americans got their passports. That’s the largest single-month processing of passports ever.

It is more than a coincidence that Rubio in his statement called out by name only two not-so-well-known offices at State, the Visa Office and the Passport Office. Both have new heads, and both men are members of the Ben Franklin Fellowship (BFF). The BFF believes “U.S. international engagement should recognize the primacy of American sovereignty and the obligation to defend national borders… The central purpose of U.S. diplomacy is to serve the national interest. We endorse the careful husbanding of limited resources, both budget and staff, rather than engaging in perpetual, unfunded expansion.” In its own words, BFF is “a community of current and past State Department employees and foreign affairs practitioners who support traditional, Constitutional American values in international affairs.”

Layoffs are not expected to hit passport and visa processing within the Bureau of Consular Affairs. That bureau has around 2,400 domestic employees, about half of whom process passports, removing a large swath of the workforce from the RIF pool.

Rubio has seeded other BFF members at key nodes within State, most visibly as deputy secretary (Rubio’s Number 2) and as the acting head of the director general’s office, the part of the State Department that sits atop a pyramid of offices controlling internal budgets, personnel assignments, discipline, and promotions. It grants Rubio a lot of control over the department, and represents an understanding of the mechanics of the bureaucracy that his predecessors, Rex Tillerson and Mike Pompeo, never achieved.

Rubio gave no hints whatsoever that he is done making changes at Foggy Bottom. Keep a close eye on his public statements for clues for which direction he intends to take his department next.

Fox News reported:

President Donald Trump’s “one big, beautiful bill” survived a key hurdle in the House of Representatives on Sunday night, putting it one step closer to a chamber-wide vote later this week.

Lawmakers on the House Budget Committee were summoned back to Washington for a 10 p.m. meeting to vote on advancing the legislation, which passed the panel in a nearly party-line vote.

Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., made a surprise appearance at the committee room shortly before the vote began, telling reporters, “We think this is going to go well tonight. We’re about to find out.”

He said there would likely be “minor modifications” to the final bill.

It comes after a rebellion by four conservative House Freedom Caucus members on the committee blocked the bill from advancing on Friday, with the fiscal hawks seeking assurances that stricter crackdowns on Medicaid and green energy subsidies in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) would be in the final bill before a House-wide vote.

‘Absolute Losers’: Rock Legend Elton John Torches Labour UK Government Over AI Copyright Rules, Brands Minister ‘A Bit of a Moron’ (VIDEO)

Elton John wants tech firms to recompense musical creators whose art helped ‘train’ AI models.

Famed entertainer Elton John came out today in defense of music creators and blasted the Labour government that he supported for its AI copyright rules.

John accused Keir Starmer’s government of ‘committing theft’ by allowing tech firms to train artificial intelligence models on the UK’s music catalogue without any sort of recompense.

The legal and ethical implications of AI models are a hot topic, since this technology can produce art work after being ‘trained’ on existing material.

Reuters reported:

“Britain, which Prime Minister Keir Starmer wants to become an AI superpower, has proposed relaxing copyright laws to allow AI developers to train their models on any material to which they have lawful access. The proposal would require creators to proactively opt out to stop their work being used.”

AI-models can’t create art unless they are first trained to copy works made by humans.

Music heavyweights such as Paul McCartney and Andrew Lloyd Weber have rejected these plans, saying it will make even harder for young creators to make a living.

“’The danger is for young artists, they haven’t got the resources to keep checking or fight big tech’, John told the BBC. ‘It’s criminal and I feel incredibly betrayed’.

‘A machine doesn’t have a soul, doesn’t have a heart, it doesn’t have human feeling, it doesn’t have passion. Human beings, when they create something, are doing it to bring pleasure to lots of people’, he said.”

Paul McCartney also opposed the Labour AI rules.

BBC reported:

“Sir Elton John described the government as ‘absolute losers’ and said he feels ‘incredibly betrayed’ over plans to exempt technology firms from copyright laws.

Speaking exclusively to Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, he said if ministers go ahead with plans to allow AI firms to use artists’ content without paying, they would be ‘committing theft, thievery on a high scale’.”

This week, the Starmer government rejected proposals coming from the House of Lords to make AI companies disclose what material they were using to develop their programs.

“’The House of Lords did a vote, and it was more than two to one in our favor’, he said. ‘The government just looked at it as if to say, ‘Hmm, well the old people … like me can afford it’.”

“Sir Elton warned the government was on course to ‘rob young people of their legacy and their income’, adding that he thought the government was ‘just being absolute losers, and I’m very angry about it’.

The singer said that Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer needed to ‘wise up’ and described Technology Secretary Peter Kyle as ‘a bit of a moron’.”

Army Issues Guidance and Begins Separation of Trans Soldiers

Under President Trump’s new guidelines, transgender individuals are now deemed nondeployable and formally disqualified from military service.

The Trump administration has initiated the separation of transgender service members, declaring that gender dysphoria is medically incompatible with military standards. The Department of Defense has issued a series of memos directing the identification and removal, voluntary or involuntary, of those diagnosed with, or showing symptoms of, gender dysphoria.

The policy follows President Trump’s January 2025 executive order and states that “expressing a false gender identity divergent from an individual’s sex” undermines readiness, cohesion, and lethality. Officials say the move enforces standards rooted in uniformity, discipline, and what they call “biological truth.”

On February 26, 2025, the Department of Defense issued a memorandum titled “Additional Guidance on Prioritizing Military Excellence and Readiness,” formally disqualifying individuals with a current diagnosis, history, or symptoms of gender dysphoria from military service. The policy states that such conditions are incompatible with readiness, cohesion, lethality, and integrity, and affirms that all personnel must meet standards without special accommodations.

Under Executive Order 14168, the Department of Defense defines sex as an immutable biological classification, male or female, and requires all service members to serve in accordance with their sex. This designation now governs compliance with military standards, including physical fitness, grooming, uniforms, and access to bathrooms, showers, and berthing.

Pronoun use and terms of address must also reflect a service member’s biological sex, reinforcing the military’s emphasis on uniformity and discipline. Military records are required to reflect this designation, and all intimate facilities must be strictly separated by sex. Standards for drug testing, grooming, and fitness will be applied accordingly.

Additionally, the policy prohibits the use of Department funds for sex reassignment surgeries, genital reconstruction, or newly initiated cross-sex hormone therapy.

Screening for gender dysphoria has been integrated into routine Periodic Health Assessments (PHA), which fall under the Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) program. Service members who disclose symptoms or history of gender dysphoria, or are referred by commanders based on observed behavior, are flagged for further evaluation. Separation proceedings must begin within 30 days of identification.

The Pentagon estimates that approximately 4,000 service members may be affected, although that number may fluctuate. Around 1,000 have already self-identified and begun the separation process.

Under the new policy, service members disqualified under the gender dysphoria provision will receive an honorable discharge, unless separate misconduct warrants a lower characterization. Those who opt for voluntary separation within 30 days will not be required to repay bonuses and will be eligible for full separation pay. Involuntary separations, by contrast, may involve reduced compensation and repayment of unearned bonuses.

For example, an E-5 (sergeant or petty officer second class) with 10 years of service could receive approximately $101,000 if separated voluntarily, but only around $51,000 if separated involuntarily. Officers would see similar disparities. Service members with over 18 but fewer than 20 years of service may also qualify for early retirement.

Active-duty personnel must self-identify by June 6, 2025, and reservists by July 7, to qualify for voluntary separation and the associated benefits. Those who do not will be subject to administrative separation unless granted a waiver based on compelling national security needs.

Applicants with a current or prior diagnosis of gender dysphoria, or who exhibit related symptoms, are disqualified from enlistment, commissioning, or participation in military academies and ROTC programs unless they receive a waiver.

Service members undergoing separation may be placed in administrative absence status, during which they are non-deployable but continue to receive full pay and benefits. They will also be enrolled in the Transition Assistance Program until the process is complete. All separations under this policy will be classified as honorable unless misconduct is present.

Beginning March 26, 2025, and continuing every 30 days, military departments must submit progress reports detailing policy updates, separation figures, and compliance status. These recurring reports are intended to ensure consistent implementation of the policy across all branches.

In early 2025, federal judges temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s policy barring transgender individuals from military service. On March 8, U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes ruled the policy likely violated the constitutional rights of transgender service members, calling it “unfair and exclusionary.” Just days later, on March 14, Judge Benjamin Settle issued a nationwide preliminary injunction, halting enforcement while lawsuits proceeded. Both judges argued that the policy could cause irreparable harm by stigmatizing service members and disrupting their careers without sufficient justification.

However, the policy mandates a single, uniform standard for all troops. While critics claim this is exclusionary, applying one set of rules to everyone promotes fairness and consistency more than maintaining dual standards based on gender identity. Military service has long prioritized the needs of the mission over individual preferences, a concept encapsulated in the order “mission, men.” Soldiers are routinely asked to risk or even sacrifice their lives for the greater objective. By comparison, being labeled nondeployable or facing career interruption is a lesser burden.

On May 6, 2025, the U.S. Supreme Court lifted the injunctions in a 5–4 decision, allowing the administration to enforce the policy while legal challenges continued. The majority emphasized that the executive branch holds broad authority over military personnel matters and that courts should defer to national security decisions unless a clear constitutional violation is proven.

The ruling noted the Department of Defense’s rationale, focused on cohesion, readiness, and medical fitness, was sufficient to justify implementation. As a result, the Trump administration resumed the process of separating transgender service members in line with the updated guidelines.

Michelle Obama is worth hundreds of millions of dollars yet all she does is complain about her privileged life.

After complaining about being a black woman, Michelle Obama whined about how expensive it was to live in the White House.

“It’s expensive to live in the White House. Many people don’t know. I mean much is not covered. You’re paying for every food, every bit of food that you eat. You’re not paying for housing and the staff in it. But everything, even travel. If you’re not traveling with the president, if your kids are coming on a bright star which is the First Lady’s plane we had to pay for their travel to be on the plane. It is an expensive proposition and you’re running for two years and not earning an income,” Michelle Obama said on her failing podcast.

WATCH: AOC’s Constituent Says the Congresswoman Ditched Her Own Town Hall After She Asked About Crime in the District

A constituent of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recounted to Fox News how the congresswoman abandoned her own town hall event in the Bronx after she asked her about rising crime in the district.

Guadelupe Alvarez told the network that she had asked Ocasio-Cortez what she is doing for the district, which is facing increased crime and prostitution.

As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier this week, major crime has skyrocketed by 70 percent in the congressional district represented by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez since she assumed office in 2019. This surge in illegal activity is more than double the overall increase across New York City, which remained at 30 percent during the same period.

“I went to one of the town halls where she was speaking in the Bronx, I believe, and when I asked the question of what are you doing for Jackson Heights? How are you aware of the crime and prostitution? Have you seen the neighborhood lately? She dismissed me,” Alvarez recalled.

The congresswoman walked out instead of answering the simple questions.

“She said she’d be right back and never came back and just handed the floor to her assistant, which was really infuriating,” Alvarez said.

Alvarez also alleged that people at the town hall were given pre-written questions to ask the congresswoman.

A new poll has found that Democrat and left-leaning voters view either Ocasio-Cortez or “no one” as the face of their party.

Poll Finds Democrat Voters See Either AOC or ‘No One’ as the Face of Their Party

A newly released Co/efficient poll of approximately 1,400 voters found:

“Currently, there is no consensus on the face of the Democrat Party, as a majority of voters either give the title to AOC (26%) or simply say there is none (26%). Bernie Sanders falls in a distant second, followed by a handful of others who fail to reach double digits.”

There has been growing speculation that the congresswoman from New York might be preparing for a 2028 presidential bid.

Rep. Jim Clyburn Insists Biden Could Have Served as President Until 2029 (VIDEO)

Jim Clyburn / CNN State of the Union

Rep. Jim Clyburn has claimed that Joe Biden could have served as president for another four years.

In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Clyburn reiterated his belief that the 82-year-oldn would have been able to perform the duties required for a second term in office that would have lasted until January 2029.

Here is a transcript of the exchange:

TAPPER: With what we’ve seen from President Biden both in that audio, but also throughout 2023, 2024, especially on the debate stage do you think that Joe Biden really would have been able to perform as president all the way through January 2029, when he would have been when he would be 86?”

CLYBURN: Yes. I thought that back then. I still think that, but I don’t know that. When people ask me, did I know this or did I know the other?

And the fact of the matter is, no, I didn’t. You make my point here. It’s not all about age. I’ve seen people develop Alzheimer’s when they’re in their 30s and 40s.

So it’s not about age. It’s about the ability to do the job. And I never saw anything that allowed me to think that Joe Biden was not able to do the job. Just that simple. ”

TAPPER: Do you think that your party’s incredibly low standing with the American people in polling has anything to do with the impression that many people in your party, especially in the White House and especially President Biden and his family and inner circle, hid his actual dysfunction?

CLYBURN: Well, there very well could have.

Watch the clip below:

Hours after the interview aired, Biden’s office announced that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” the office said in his statement.

“While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.”

They added Biden and his family are currently “reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

Pardoned J6 Hostage Suffers Stroke, Remains Optimistic, Needs Help Covering Medical Expenses

I received an exciting phone call from January 6er Andrew Johnson two weeks ago. He and his fellow J6er, Mitchell “Todd” Gardner, had become roommates and had started a business together. It was great timing because I had been wanting to tell The Gateway Pundit readers a positive and heartwarming story about the J6ers. Andrew and I set up a time to do an interview for my podcast that would be posted in the story.

Gardner working on a job for his new business (courtesy of T. Gardner)

The Sunday we were to do the interview came and went with no returned calls or texts from Andrew or Todd. I was worried, but chalked it up to all sorts of things that could’ve happened. On Monday, I received a call from Andrew. Todd was in the hospital. He was taken to the hospital by paramedics on Sunday after the loss of feeling on his entire right side. This was NOT one of the many excuses that came to my mind.

Once at the hospital, the doctors told Todd he had suffered a stroke. They also found blood clots that caused his body to have a stroke. One of Todd’s doctors asked if he had received the COVID-19 shot, and he let them know, yes, he did.

HELP TODD HERE

My first thought when I heard this was that he received the shot while he was in the DC Gulag, being held prisoner for January 6th. I had reports that while the J6ers were in solitary and without visitation, the jail’s employees tried to coerce the J6ers to take the “Jab”. They were told if they took the experimental mRNA gene therapy shot, then they would receive visitation, Chaplain visits, haircuts, and 10 hours of rec. This has been confirmed to me by several J6 prisoners, but whether any of them took the COVID-19 bio-weapon is not confirmed. No one received any of these so-called perks that the jail personnel promised, and therefore, we don’t know if some took it and believed the jail would follow through with what became empty promises.

What we do know is that Gardner took the COVID shot very early on, before January 6th, due to his work. Being in sales, he wanted to make sure he could still deal with his clients, continue business, and keep his livelihood.

Gardner isn’t sure if the shot has anything to do with his current condition, and the doctors never stated that either. He just wants to focus on getting well and moving on to a better life.

HELP TODD HERE

Todd wrote some about his experience last week…

“I woke up last Sunday morning and the entire right half of my body was numb. I went to the hospital and learned I had multiple blood clots which caused a stroke.

Because of this I’ll have to put my business aspersions on hold. All my family is in Ohio, so I have no one in Florida to help me. My mom flew down to Florida this morning and is driving us backward to Ohio now. I’ll be staying with her for a month or two while I go through rehabilitation.

Todd with his 2 kids (photo courtesy of T. Gardner)

I have $700 a month due in child support and then the average cost of food for an adult. My mom won’t be charging me rent, which I am very thankful for. I also will be applying for government assistance while not working to help cover the cost of the prescription for the stroke. The medicine “ELIQUIS” is $500 per month until I can eventually get it covered through the assistance.”

Help Todd HERE

Gardner and J6 supporter (courtesy of T. Gardner)

When I spoke to Todd today, he said, “Jenn, will you please let people know how grateful I am for their support, and I am especially grateful to President Trump for the pardon he gave us.” He continued, “Being home with family while going through this is much better than dealing with it in prison. Prison made me think about what really is important in life, but this health scare has really moved me to never forget how precious my kids, my family and friends are to me.”

Todd Excited about getting well (courtesy of T. Gardner)

When I asked him what the future looks like, he said he is going to heal not just from this but the trauma of prison. He also wants to get back to work as soon as possible, so he will be working very hard on his therapy prescribed by the doctors.

Although this story is not the warm fuzzy J6er story I was hoping to write for you, it is one that gives me hope. I know that Mitchell “Todd” Gardner will try his hardest to get well and get back to living a life that he does not want to take for granted. We discussed how God always has a plan and His plan for Todd seems to be a simple but important one for right now… Heal his Body, Mind and Soul.

I am excited to see where Todd’s recovery takes him, and I can’t wait to write the story that shares all the good about where he lands after he heals.

President Trump Releases Statement on Biden Cancer Diagnosis

President Trump on Sunday released a statement after it was revealed Joe Biden was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

On Sunday, it was reported that 82-year-old Joe Biden was diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer.

According to Biden’s spox, the former president was diagnosed with prostate cancer last Friday with the cancer cells spreading to his bones.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” the statement said.

“While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management,” the statement said.

President Trump wished Joe Biden a successful recovery.

“Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery,” Trump said.

Many medical professionals do not believe Joe Biden was just in the past week diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer is the easiest cancer to diagnose when it first starts and to watch it progress to bone metastases. The PSA blood test shows the rate of cancer cell growth. For even with the most aggressive form, it is a 5-7 year journey without treatment before it becomes…

House Speaker Mike Johnson Discusses President Trump’s America First Agenda on Fox News Sunday (VIDEO)

House Speaker Mike Johnson on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream 5/18/25

House Speaker Mike Johnson was on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream to discuss President Trump’s America First agenda. The conversation included the bill that Congress was working on and the challenge to get a few Republican reps to vote yes, who were holding out for various reasons.

“So, House Budget Committee the vote failed on Friday. They are back at it at 10 pm tonight,” Bream said.

“But you got to be talking with them to turn some of those no’s to yes. How are those conversations going?” Bream asked.

“They are going well Shannon. We are on track working around the clock to deliver this nation shaping legislation for the American people as soon as possible,” Johnson said.

“All eleven of our committees have wrapped up their work and they spent less and saved more than even we projected initially,” Johnson continued.

“The plan is to move it to the rules committee by mid-week and to the House floor by the end of the week, so we meet our initial, our original Memorial Day deadline,” Johnson continued.

“This is the vehicle through which we will deliver on the mandate that the American people gave us in the last election,” Johnson said.

“You are going to have historic savings for the American people, historic tax relief for American workers, historic investments in border security,” Johnson said.

“We are going to make the 2017 tax cuts permanent,” Johnson continued.

Bream asked speaker Johnson about the no votes from some members of Congress because they thought the spending cuts were inadequate.

“Some of these members and they were both no votes in that budget committee,” Bream said.

“They think its gimmicks. They say they are getting perks now and paying later. How do you respond?” Bream asked.

“What they were complaining about or mostly concerned about I think is for example work requirements in Medicaid. They wanted them to be implemented earlier rather than later. So do we,” Johnson said.

“This is the largest spending reduction in at least three decades, probably longer,” Johnson continued.
