Air India Flight 171: human error or scapegoating to protect Boeing?

The investigation into the crash of Air India Flight 171, which occurred about a month ago, is generating a lot of controversy, as it was perhaps inevitable.

After the preliminary analysis of the black box, reports arose that one of the pilots had cut off fuel for both engines right after take-off, leading the plane to crash back to land, killing the crew and all but one passenger.

If the possibility of human error was not traumatic enough – with some people saying that this was a ‘whitewashing’ of Boeing’s responsibilities, a scapegoating of the pilots… – what followed is even more disturbing.

It’s been reported today that the medical records of the Air India Flight 171 pilot were ‘turned over to investigators’, and that ‘he’d been suffering from depression and other mental health issues’.

The New York Post reported:

“Captain Sumeet Sabharwal, 56, was the lead pilot when the London-bound Boeing 787 Dreamliner went down in Ahmedabad on June 12, killing 241 people on board and leaving just one survivor.

Sabharwal, who had more than 15,000 flying hours under his belt at the time of the tragedy, had taken medical leave in recent years due to apparent mental health woes, the Telegraph reported.”

“’I have heard from several Air India pilots who told me he had some depression and mental health issues’, said Mohan Ranganathan, a leading Indian aviation safety expert. ‘He had taken time off from flying in the last three to four years. He had taken medical leave for that’.”

Air India CEO is trying to fight the horrendous optics, and asked his staff ‘not to jump to conclusions’ about this being a human error.

Convicted Hijacker Among 1,361 Violent Criminals in ICE Houston Sweep

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced details surrounding the arrest of 1,361 illegal aliens in the Houston, Texas, area in June.

Among those arrested, whom liberals apparently do not want apprehended and off the streets,  were 32 child predators, 9 murderers, 16 gang or cartel members, and Adermis Wilson-Gonzalez, who was convicted in 2003 of hijacking an airplane traveling from Cuba to Key West, Florida.

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Houston acting Field Office Director Gabriel Martinez shared, “Despite attempts by some to undermine our mission by spreading false and malicious rumors, the brave men and women of ICE continue to work tirelessly around the clock targeting dangerous criminal aliens to restore integrity to our nation’s immigration system and bolster public safety in our communities.”

“The number of dangerous criminal aliens that they removed from local communities across Southeast Texas last month is just another example of their selfless and unyielding efforts to return our local communities to places where we can all raise our families without having to worry about child predators, gang members, or other violent criminal aliens preying on our loved ones.”

ICE reports that included among the criminal aliens arrested were:

  • Adermis Wilson-Gonzalez, a 56-year-old criminal alien from Cuba, arrested by ICE June 29 who was convicted in 2003 of hijacking an airplane traveling from Cuba to Key West, Florida.
  • Arnulfo Olivares Cervantes, a 47-year-old criminal alien from Mexico and former Mexicles gang member, arrested by ICE June 13 who has illegally entered the U.S. six times and been convicted twice for trafficking cocaine, and once for attempted murder, evading arrest, illegal entry, and drug possession.
  • Luis Pablo Vasquez-Estolano, a 29-year-old, six-time deported criminal alien from Mexico, arrested by ICE June 10 who has been convicted of homicide, aggravated robbery, burglary of a vehicle, and drug possession.
  • Jose Meza, a 40-year-old criminal alien from Mexico, arrested by ICE June 24 who has illegally entered the U.S. four times and been convicted of sexual assault of a minor and theft.
  • Javier Escobar Gonzalez, a 51-year-old criminal alien from Mexico, arrested by ICE June 23 who has been convicted of sexual indecency with a minor, criminal trespass with a deadly weapon, driving while intoxicated, and unauthorized use of a firearm.

Charlie Kirk was on Fox News on Monday with co-anchor Brian Kilmeade to discuss the Democrat party’s continual shift to more extreme ideological views. He explained that this was an opportunity for conservatives to “consolidate our popular support.”

“The Democrat party, we were wondering if they were going to moderate,” Kirk said.

“It turns out the Democrat party and the Democrat base does not want a move to moderation. They want the opposite actually. Zohran Mamdani, and the rise of Mamdani really could go to show they want more of the anti-civilization, anti-border, anti-goodness of the west movement,” Kirk explained.

“This is a very good opportunity for those of us that are conservatives to consolidate our popular support and deliver for the American people,” Kirk continued.

Kilmeade asked Kirk about his thoughts regarding how the younger generation views President Trump.

“You just had a very successful summit over the weekend. You talk about a lot of young people. Six months in, what do they think of the job Trump is doing?” Kilmeade asked.

“Well, they are very supportive of President Trump and honestly, they need the help,” Kirk said.

Kirk also explained that President Trump appealed to the younger generation because he met them where they were, which is primarily on social media and podcasts.

“One of the reasons why President Trump won the White House is younger voters put him in the White House. President Donald Trump was unafraid to go on social media. He dominated on Tik Tok, he was unafraid to go on podcasts,” Kirk continued.

He also explained that the younger generation wants the American dream, which is why so many of them voted for and supported President Trump.

“The younger generation, one of the main reasons they supported President Trump, they want to be able to own homes, they want to have kids, they want to get married, they want their slice of the American dream,” Kirk said.

“I think President Trump is going to deliver for them,” Kirk continued.

Top DOJ Ethics Official Releases Statement After Being Fired by AG Pam Bondi

US Attorney General Pam Bondi fired top Department of Justice official Joseph Tirrell on Friday amid her firing spree.

Bondi fired 20 DOJ officials tied to January 6 and Trump docs probe on Friday. Joseph Tirrell was swept up in the firings.

Tirrell released a statement on his LinkedIn account:

Until Friday evening, I was the senior ethics attorney at the Department of Justice responsible for advising the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General directly on federal employee ethics. I was also responsible for the day-to-day operations of the ethics program across the Department. I led a small, dedicated team of professionals and coordinated the work of some 30 other full-time ethics officials, attorneys, paralegals and other specialists across the Department of Justice, ensuring that the 117,000 Department employees were properly advised on and supported in how to follow the Federal employee ethics rules.

My career in public service has so far spanned a quarter of a century. I started as a United States Naval Officer, graduating from the ROTC program at the University of Michigan. After a 6-year military career, I earned a law Degree from the Detroit School of Law at Michigan State University. I started at the FBI in 2006 in the Presidential Management Fellows Program. At the FBI, I worked in a variety of offices thanks to the PMF program and eventually I went to work for the FBI’s Office of Integrity and Compliance. From there, I moved to the Departmental Ethics Office at Main Justice as Deputy Director. Finally, in 2023, I was promoted to the Senior Executive Service and the Position of Director of the Ethics Office.

My public service is not over, and my career as a Federal civil servant is not finished. I took the oath at 18 as a Midshipman to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States.” I have taken that oath at least five more times since then. That oath did not come with the caveat that I need only support the Constitution when it is easy or convenient. I look forward to finding ways to continue in my personal calling of service to my country. I encouraged anyone who is reading this to do the same. I believe in the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. – “the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” I also believe that Edmund Burke is right and that “the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi fired the ethics director at the Department of Justice on Friday, removing the staff in charge of advising her and other officials on how to navigate conflicts of interest.

Why it matters: The ethics director was fired on the same day that Bondi dismissed more than 20 employees involved in various investigations of President Donald Trump, reflecting an ongoing purge of personnel at the department.

Context: On Monday, former director Joseph Tirrell confirmed on LinkedIn that he had been fired from the position without being given a reason for his removal.

  • Tirrell has worked for the DOJ for 16 years, and became director of the departmental ethics office in July of 2023, according to his official staff profile.

  • In the LinkedIn post, Tirrell said he was responsible for “ensuring that the 117,000 Department employees were properly advised on and supported in how to follow the Federal employee ethics rules.”

  • The Department of Justice declined to comment on why Tirrell was dismissed.

(VIDEO) Trump Threatens Russia with 100% Tariffs if Deal with Ukraine isn’t Reached in 50 Days

President Trump on Monday spoke to reporters in the Oval Office during a bilateral meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to discuss Ukraine, and he told reporters that Russia will face “very severe tariffs” if a deal is not made in 50 days. 

If a deal to end the war does not happen in 50 days, Trump says, he will impose “secondary tariffs” of 100% on Russia.

“It wasn’t my war, it was Biden’s war. It’s not my war. I’m trying to get you out of it,” Trump said. “And I’m disappointed in President Putin, because I thought we would have had a deal two months ago, but it doesn’t seem to get there.”

Trump: One of the reasons that you’re here today is to hear that we are very unhappy, I am, with Russia, but we’ll discuss that maybe a different day. But we’re very, very unhappy with them, and we’re going to be doing very severe tariffs if we don’t have a deal in 50 days, tariffs at about 100%. You call them secondary tariffs. You know what that means. But today we’re going to talk about something else. And as you know, we’ve spent $350 billion approximately on this war with Russia and Ukraine, and would like to see it end.

It wasn’t my war, it was Biden’s war. It’s not my war. I’m trying to get you out of it, and we want to see it end. And I’m disappointed in President Putin, because I thought we would have had a deal two months ago, but it doesn’t seem to get there. So, based on that, we’re going to be doing secondary tariffs if we don’t have a deal in 50 days. It’s very simple. And they’ll be at 100%. And that’s the way it is. That can be more simple, it’s just the way it is. I hope we don’t have to do it.

As The Gateway Pundit reported ahead of the meeting, Trump had planned to sell NATO allies US-made weapons and equipment that the alliance can then transfer to Ukraine.

The president announced his intentions to do so during the meeting, which Rutte confirmed would be delivered through NATO and paid for by Europe. He also said he met with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth this morning.

This comes after the Pentagon froze deliveries of weapons to Ukraine because our own stockpiles are running dry. Earlier this month, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth halted Patriot interceptors, artillery shells, and precision missiles, citing “dangerously low” U.S. inventories.

However, in a reversal, Trump told reporters, “We’re going to send some more weapons. We have to. They have to be able to defend themselves. They’re getting hit very hard now.”

Cuomo Shakes Up NYC Mayoral Race, Announces Run as Independent After Losing Democrat Primary to Communist Muslim Zohran Mamdani (VIDEO)

Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Monday announced that he is jumping back into the NYC Mayoral race as an Independent after he lost the Democrat primary to Communist Muslim Zohran Mamdani last month.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams is also running as an Independent.

“I’m in it to win it,” Cuomo said on Monday.

“Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that the Democratic primary did not go as I had hoped,” Andrew Cuomo said in a video posted to X.

“When you get knocked down, learn your lesson and pick yourself back up and get in the game ,” Cuomo said. “And that is what I am going to do. The fight to save our city isn’t over.”

Late last month Andrew Cuomo set the internet ablaze after he quickly conceded to Zohran Mamdani. He didn’t even put up a fight.

Mamdani has has made comments about “globalizing the intifada” and devised a plan to make white neighborhoods pay higher taxes.

Communist New York City Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani now has competition for the title of most dangerous local politician running for elective office.

35-year-old Minnesota Democratic State Senator Omar Fateh, a Muslim and son of Somali migrants, spoke about his radical agenda for the city in a social media post on Sunday.

“My name is Omar Fateh, and I’m running for Minneapolis Mayor because for working people, it’s getting harder to build our lives in this city we love,” he wrote in the X post accompanying the video. “To make an affordable Minneapolis that works for everyone, we need a Mayor that works as hard as we do. I’m ready to get to work.”

After answering supporters’ questions about why he’s not making more videos, Fatah discusses his plan to supposedly make Minneapolis more affordable.

Of course, his plan would not only have the opposite effect but also make the city more dangerous.

Fateh first calls for increasing the minimum wage to $20 “to keep money in working people’s pockets and circulating in our local economy.” However, given that so many small businesses operate on small profit margins and fail to begin with, this would result in mass bankruptcies for those who stay in Minneapolis while others flee the city.

He then pushes for “rent stabilization,” aka freezes, to protect workers. This would have the opposite effect and provide no incentive for companies to build additional housing.

Fateh also vows to protect all of Minneapolis’s communities from President Donald Trump. To do so, he would refuse to let the Minneapolis Police Department cooperate with ICE, even if there is a raid on criminal aliens.

“Our residents deserve a mayor that will stand up to Donald Trump and say ‘no, not in our community,’” Fateh says.

He would deal with higher crime rates if it meant not interacting with his sworn enemy.

The socialist then closes by calling for “diverting” calls from MPD to “diversify public safety response” and invest more money in social workers. This is music to the ears of criminals, who will interpret this along the lines of “defund the police.”

Fatah, a Democrat socialist, previously announced his run back in December, but his race is garnering new attention thanks to Mamdani’s unfortunate success in America’s most famous city.

It should also come as no surprise that Fateh regards Mamdani as a close friend. In fact, he held a phone bank and watch party on the day of the NYC primary to show his support.

Fateh may be facing a steeper climb than Mamdani because he is challenging a sitting politician, incumbent Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey, who has his own woke credentials. Frey is best known for getting humiliated by defund the police activists during the George Floyd riots back in 2020.

He even sobbed at the Floyd funeral.

But Fateh regards him as ‘too conservative.’ People should pray for Minneapolis and hope this guy does not take power.
