Secret Service Failed to Discipline Agent at Heart of Security Failures in Butler, PA – Agent Warned 25 Minutes BEFORE Shooting that Thomas Crooks was on Roof with Rangefinder

A damning new report from the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee outlines the massive security failures one year ago in Butler, Pennsylvania, that nearly killed President Trump.

One of the most chilling findings in the report is that the Secret Service did not even discipline an agent who was made aware of the shooter 25 minutes before he fired eight rounds at the President and innocent rallygoers, but did nothing.

The 22-page report, which examines the “stunning failures by the United States Secret Service (USSS) that allowed then-former President Donald J. Trump to be shot on July 13, 2024,” was released on the one-year anniversary of the incident.

“One year later, the facts remain as chilling as ever: a former President of the United States and major party candidate was shot in the head at a public rally by an individual who was reported as suspicious and carrying a rangefinder to the Secret Service at least 25 minutes prior,” the report’s summary reads.

Another report from the Government Accountability Office reveals that the Secret Service was made aware of a threat against Trump’s life ten days prior, but did not alert the team responsible for securing Trump’s July 13, 2024, rally.

HUGE: Secret Service Knew There Was a Credible Threat Against Trump’s Life 10 Days Before Butler Rally Where Trump was Shot and Innocent Supporter was Killed – DID NOT SHARE WITH STAFF ON GROUND

“What happened in Butler, Pennsylvania, was not just a tragedy—it was a scandal. The United States Secret Service failed to act on credible intelligence, failed to coordinate with local law enforcement, and failed to prevent an attack that nearly took the life of a then-former president,” Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee Chairman Rand Paul (R-KY) said in a press release.

“Despite those failures, no one has been fired. And we only know what little discipline was handed out because I issued a subpoena. That’s unacceptable. This was not a single lapse in judgment. It was a complete breakdown of security at every level—fueled by bureaucratic indifference, a lack of clear protocols, and a shocking refusal to act on direct threats. We must hold individuals accountable and ensure reforms are fully implemented so this never happens again.”

The report found that an unnamed Secret Service security room agent, “the individual in charge of communications,” who was partially identified as the Special Agent in Charge of the USSS Buffalo, New York, Field Office, was allegedly informed about a suspicious indivisual carrying a rangefinder 25 minutes before the shooting. That individual later turned out to be 20-year-old gunman Thomas Crooks.

“The job of a Security Room Agent is to be the conduit of communications between all entities involved in a protective site in order to ensure situational awareness of all parties involved in securing the event,” the report notes.

The agent decided to have the Secret Service counter-unmanned aerial systems agent relay this information via phone to the USSS Counter Sniper Response Agent, instead of his radio, and therefore, “the message did not go out to USSS post standers, counter snipers, and DTD shift detail,” the report states. The report also describes the operator, tasked with managing counter-unmanned aerial systems, as “inexperienced.”

According to the report, a Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Officer told the PSP and FBI in a joint interview that he had notified the security room agent of the potential threat, but the agent appeared to ignore it. “It wasn’t like he rushed around or did anything,” the PSP officer said.

“After I said outside the perimeter, I got a distinct impression that there’s, like, a lack of urgency,” the officer told the FBI and PSP.

The agent appeared to corroborate the “lack of urgency” when he told the Committee, “For someone on the outer perimeter, there’s really only two assets available to us from a USSS perspective to dispatch… the [protective intelligence] response and the [counter sniper] response because they’re the only people who are capable of leaving the interior secure perimeter to go on the outside to look for somebody.” However, as noted before

The agent also gave conflicting narratives in both his interviews with the FBI and PSP and the Senate Committee, telling the Committee he heard about the shooter on the roof at approximately 3 o’clock, but telling PSP and FBI that he was never made aware of the shooter.

“By his own admission, he never had direct contact with local law enforcement throughout the day, and that his only method of communication with them was through the PSP officer in the USSS Security Room.cx Moreover, when asked by the Committee if he had viewed the PSP or Butler Emergency Services Unit (ESU) operations plan prior to the event, he stated that his first time seeing either of the operations plans was the day prior to his transcribed interview with the Committee.”

However, this agent faced no disciplinary action and was able to resign without any consequence last month, suspiciously about two weeks before the report was released on July 13.

Secret Service said in a document provided to the Committee, “After the Mission Assurance Inquiry review was completed, as part of the determination of which employees might face discipline, [the USSS Security Room Agent] was found not to be in violation of Secret Service policy. [The USSS Security Room Agent] retired on June 28, 2025.”

While six USSS personnel were suspended without pay earlier this month, “no USSS personnel were fired for their role in the planning or execution of the Butler rally,” the report states.

House Speaker Mike Johnson on the Potential for a Second Mega Bill (VIDEO)

House Speaker Mike Johnson talks with Maria Bartiromo of “Sunday Morning Futures” on 7/13/25

House Speaker Mike Johnson was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Maria Bartiromo to discuss topics including the potential for another mega bill in 2025.

“The ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ was a landmark achievement. America first is no longer just an agenda, it’s now the law of the land, and to your point, the big investment there was in border security and national defense,” Johnson explained.

“These investments are important. It’s in naval vessels and ships in our new kind of warfare, and by the way, there is an investment here in the Golden Dome, which will help us have real security in our homeland,” Johnson said.

“Where does the legislative agenda go now, and are you expecting to do a second reconciliation package later on in the year?” Bartiromo asked.

“Ya, we are implementing a playbook that we designed well over a year ago. About 15 months ago, we began this process, understanding and believing that we would win unified government,” Johnson said.

“We would not want to waste this historic opportunity with President Trump coming back to the White House and us having the responsibility of fixing every metric of public policy that Biden and Harris and the Democrats destroyed over the previous four years,” Johnson continued.

Speaker Johnson explained the importance of passing at least two reconciliation bills by spring to ensure that they can be passed without the support of Democrats.

“We have multiple steps ahead of us. We have a long plan for at least two, possibly three reconciliation bills. One in the fall and one next spring that would continue to allow us to do this on a partisan basis, where we only need Republican votes,” Johnson said.

“Some people were critical of the fact that we haven’t seen a lot of codifying in the Congress of President Trump’s executive orders. Where specifically would you want to see that?” Bartiromo asked.

“Well, we did over almost 30 of them were included in the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’, so that was a law-making exercise. The President has now signed them into law, and they are codified. So, it’s not a temporary thing, they will be permanent in the law. And we have done a number of, about 15 or 20, additional executive orders that we have already codified in the House. We will continue that process. We wanted to get as many of them as we could into the reconciliation package because we knew that we were certain that that would actually be signed into law,” Johnson continued.

“The President has been one of the most prolific, I think arguably the most successful President in the first six months of his term than any previous President,” Johnson said.

Former Secret Service Director Cheatle Responds to Damning GAO Report Revealing There Was a Credible Threat Against Trump’s Life 10 Days Before Butler Assassination Attempt

Former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle responded to the GAO report on the Butler assassination attempt released by Senator Grassley.

On Saturday, just one day shy of the one-year anniversary of the assassination attempt against President Trump, Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) released a report highlighting some of the Secret Service failures.

As TGP reported earlier, a new Government Accountability Office (GAO) report revealed that the Secret Service during Biden’s presidency did not alert the team responsible for securing Trump’s July 13, 2024, rally.

The report revealed the Secret Service, under then-Director Kimberly Cheatle’s leadership, knew of a threat against President Trump’s life 10 days before the attempted assassination at the Butler rally; however, they did not relay the information to the USSS team on the ground in Pennsylvania.

The threat against President Trump was not specific to the Butler rally or the gunman, Thomas Crooks.

Per the report:

Prior to the July 13 rally, senior-level Secret Service officials became aware of a threat to then-former President Trump. This information was not specific to the July 13 rally or gunman. Nonetheless, due to the Secret Service’s siloed practice for sharing classified threat information, Secret Service and local law enforcement personnel central to developing site security plans for the rally were unaware of the threat. According to Secret Service officials, this information was not more broadly shared across the Secret Service because in part, the information was highly classified, and the Intelligence Community did not include information at a lower classification level to share. However, the Secret Service’s siloed information sharing practices, such as requesting that only personnel within an individual’s chain of command be briefed on threat information, contributed to members of the advance team not receiving relevant information. Making changes to Secret Service policies to require it to proactively share threat information internally could help ensure its agents and partners will have information needed to provide effective protection

Further, sharing threat and risk information could also help ensure resource decisions are based on identified risks. Secret Service’s resource allocation process is not currently set up to comprehensively consider all known risks. Implementing a process that does so can help ensure security asset decisionsare based on need and not ad hoc actions outside of a formal process.

Per Fox, other key findings from the GAO report include:

  • Ten days before the event, high-level Secret Service officials were briefed on a classified threat to Trump. “Once those officials reviewed the intelligence, they could have then requested that personnel within their chain of command be briefed on the specific information.” Officials failed to share this information, leaving federal and local law enforcement entities planning and staffing the event unaware of the active threat, including members of the Donald Trump Protective Division. Local law enforcement officials told the GAO they would have requested additional assets for the Butler rally, had they known.

  • The Secret Service agent who was responsible for “identif[ying] site vulnerabilities,” was new to her role. The Butler event was “her first time planning and securing a large outdoor event as the site agent.”

  • At the time of the Butler event, the Secret Service lacked a formal policy for communicating a protectee staff’s requests for changes to security plans. A Trump campaign staffer had asked the Secret Service advance team, who was unaware of the active threat to Trump, not to use large farm equipment to address line-of-sight concerns near one of the buildings so as not to interfere with campaign press photos. The advance team complied, a decision which may have given Crooks a clearer shot at the stage from his rooftop perch.

  • Secret Service officials denied the Donald Trump Protective Division’s request for enhanced counter Unmanned Aerial Surveillance (cUAS) equipment at the Butler event, as “these resources had already been allocated for the Republican and Democratic National Conventions.” Fortunately, senior officials with knowledge of the threat against Trump stepped in to approve counter sniper assets for the rally, a decision which was described as “inconsistent” with agency practices for making resource decisions.” Absent this last-minute decision, Trump “would likely not have received the counter sniper assets that ultimately took out [Crooks],” the GAO wrote.

Kimberly Cheatle responded to the GAO report, highlighting the Secret Service failures under her leadership.

Cheatle shifted the blame and called July 13 a “perfect storm of events.”

She also denied that she provided misleading testimony to Congress.

Several Secret Service agents connected to the Butler assassination attempt were suspended without pay last week.

Whoa: Trump Gets Ratioed for the First Time After Weighing in on Bondi, Bongino Clash Over Handling of Epstein Documents

President Trump was ratioed on Truth Social for what appears to be the first time in history over his response to the Epstein files case and reported infighting between Attorney General Pam Bondi and the FBI.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump weighed in on reports that Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino and Pam Bondi clashed over the Epstein case on Truth Social on Saturday.

It was previously reported that FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino erupted on Pam Bondi and took a day off as he considers resigning over the mishandling of the Epstein case and lack of transparency with the American people. It was further rumored that FBI Director Kash Patel may leave the FBI over the scandal, but he called the rumors “conspiracy theories” on Saturday.

This comes after the FBI and DOJ released a 2-page memo on Sunday concluding Jeffrey Epstein did not have a “client list” and that he committed suicide. The memo also suggested that no further Epstein documents would be released to the public.

“What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’ They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!” Trump said, calling for unity within his team.

“The Left is imploding! Kash Patel, and the FBI, must be focused on investigating Voter Fraud, Political Corruption, ActBlue, The Rigged and Stolen Election of 2020, and arresting Thugs and Criminals, instead of spending month after month looking at nothing but the same old, Radical Left inspired Documents on Jeffrey Epstein,” he added, which, if they are, is good.

“The 2020 Election was Rigged and Stolen, and they tried to do the same thing in 2024 — That’s what she is looking into as AG, and much more.”

Trump had a similar response during a cabinet meeting last week, slamming a reporter for asking about Epstein’s ties to a foreign intelligence agency.

“Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? This guy’s been talked about for years,” Trump said before calling the question a “desecration” of the situation in Texas and the success of his administration. Pam Bondi also responded angrily, claiming to have “no knowledge” of Epstein being an agent. She further tried to deny her claim in February that the Epstein client list that we still haven’t seen was “sitting on my desk” when she was asked if it would be released.

“I was asked the question about the client list, and my response was, “it’s sitting on my desk to be reviewed,” meaning the file, along with the JFK, MLK files as well. That’s what I meant by that,” Bondi said.

Trump supporters are not thrilled with the response from the Trump Administration and President Trump.

The President’s statement on Truth Social received thousands more comments than likes or reposts, which is seemingly unprecedented for Donald Trump. Many of the comments were supportive of the President’s agenda and successes, but pleaded with him for justice, accountability, and the truth about Epstein.

Macron’s Globalist Economic Betrayal: Poverty Levels Rise to Unprecedented Levels in France

Under Emmanuel Macron’s leadership, France is grappling with a poverty crisis not seen in three decades. Instead of fostering self-reliance and growth as promised during his presidential campaign, his policies have fueled dependency on temporary government handouts, leaving millions in dire straits as those crutches are withdrawn.

According to the latest data from INSEE, France’s national statistics agency, poverty shattered records in 2023. A staggering 9.8 million people—roughly 15% of the population—fell below the monetary poverty line, defined as monthly income under 60% of the median (about €1,288 for a single individual). That’s an alarming increase of 650,000 people in just one year.

“This marks an unprecedented surge in nearly 30 years,” observed Michel Duée, director of INSEE’s household resources and living conditions division. To find comparable levels, one must look back to the economic turmoil of the early 1970s.

The root cause? The abrupt end to short-term “exceptional aids” like inflation bonuses and back-to-school payouts introduced in 2022 to prop up purchasing power. As these fiscal band-aids expired, reality hit hard.

Hardworking self-employed individuals and micro-entrepreneurs have borne the brunt, their livelihoods eroded by bureaucratic hurdles and economic stagnation. Meanwhile, indicators of hardship are exploding, utility shutoffs for unpaid power and gas bills have skyrocketed and rental evictions are surging at an unprecedented rate.

Most heartbreakingly, single-parent families, predominantly led by dedicated mothers raising children alone, are suffering the worst. Their poverty rate jumped nearly three percentage points from 2022 to 2023, dragging more children under 18 into destitution.

While some benefits have been modestly increased, Macron’s administration has failed to advance meaningful, long-term solutions that promote family stability, personal responsibility, and economic mobility. His administration has instead opted for piecemeal fixes that do little to address underlying issues like family breakdown.

Anti-poverty advocates recently convened with Prime Minister François Bayrou, but their concerns fell on deaf ears. His vague pledge to “reduce poverty within 10 years” is little more than empty rhetoric, binding the government to nothing concrete and ignoring the urgent need for bold reforms.

Macron has only provided the French people with broken promises and empty wallets. France deserves better, a return to the principles of liberty, hard work, and fiscal prudence that once made it a beacon of opportunity.

MIGRATION WAR: Spaniards and North-Africans Wage Street Battles in Small Spanish City of Torre-Pacheco After Pensioner Badly Beaten by Moroccan Immigrants (VIDEOS)

The suicidal EU policy of unchecked mass migration is fraying the social fabric of most European nations, and the tensions are flaring, leading to open confrontations in Northern Ireland, and now, in Spain.

The small town of Torre-Pacheco, near Murcia, has become a war zone as citizens fight back against North African migrants in real street battles, after Moroccan a migrant beat up a Spanish elderly man.

Apolo News reported:

“After a brutal attack on a pensioner by a Moroccan, riots have broken out in Spain. Angry Spaniards chased North Africans in the streets, Moroccan youth gangs did the same – street battles ensued.

In the southern Spanish city of Torre-Pacheco, not far from the metropolis of Murcia, dramatic scenes have been playing out since Friday. After a young Moroccan beat an innocent elderly man for no reason on Wednesday morning, leaving him seriously injured, a group of Spaniards has formed in the Spanish city to hunt down Moroccans out of revenge.”

Watch: Moroccan migrant beats and humiliates old man.

Spanish media reports that some 2,000 people had gathered in Torre-Pacheco on Friday (13) to demonstrate for more security and against the insane asylum policy.

The demonstration then escalated as the evening fell.

Watch: ‘You don’t touch our grandfathers’.

“Some Spaniards are said to have deliberately moved through the streets and deliberately attacked strange-looking people again and again. Moroccan youths then reacted to the Spanish attacks and also marched through the streets to look for Spaniards. According to unconfirmed information, some were even armed.

The police had to intervene in several places in the city to prevent worse. There are many videos on social media that show fierce fighting. Some right-wing groups have called for vigilante justice after the attack on the senior, because the state is doing nothing against the violence.”

Watch: citizens of Torre-Pacheco fight back.

“The pensioner had been attacked for no reason during a morning walk: ‘I was walking through Torre-Pacheco, near the cemetery and the bus station, around 5:50 a.m., when I saw three people, possibly Moroccans. One of them was on the phone, another did nothing, and the third came up to me and started punching me in the face for no good reason’, Domingo explains to the Spanish newspaper La Verdad.”

At this point, a group of young North African migrants gathered and roamed the city looking for Spaniards to exact vengeance upon.

Watch: froups of North Africans out in the streets chasing Spaniards.

Watch: Spanish man in car fights back against migrants.

This is the future of all Europe, if remigration doesn’t happen soon.

Shocking Disparities: Foreigners’ Crime Rates Vastly Eclipse Germans,’ Per Government Data

The German government has released statistics revealing that foreigners are disproportionately represented in numerous crimes compared to the native population. Notably, there is a significant disparity in street crimes and shoplifting.

Previously, the German government did not distinguish crime data based on ethnic origin, which inflated the crime figures for German citizens.

The new data was released following a parliamentary inquiry from AfD domestic policy spokesman Martin Hess, who requested detailed information on crime rates among foreigners, broken down by nationality and age group.

The data comes from the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) and is reported in their Police Crime Statistics (PKS). It examines the Suspect Burden Number (TVBZ) for various demographic groups. This figure is calculated by taking the number of suspects older than 8 years, multiplying by 100,000, and then dividing by the number of inhabitants aged 8 and older.

Statisticians, when measuring the TVBZ of specific groups, take care to exclude foreign tourists, illegal immigrants, and cross-border commuters, ensuring that the figures are representative of the resident population. Immigration law violations are also excluded from the data set.

For German suspects across all age groups, the TVBZ is 1,878. In contrast, Syrian suspects have a TVBZ of 8,236, and Afghan suspects are at 8,753.

The data is alarming when compared among young people. Syrians between 14 and 18 years old are five times more likely to commit a crime than Germans in the same age bracket.

The difference becomes even more pronounced among groups of young people from North Africa. Algerian youth exhibit a TVBZ rate that is an astronomical 56 times higher than that of Germans. For Moroccans, it is 19 times higher.

There were also notable differences among different offense categories. Street crime, which includes offenses like bodily harm, robbery, sexual harassment, and pickpocketing, has a TVBZ for German suspects at 168. For Syrians and Afghans, the figure is nearly eight times as high, with 1,291 and 1,218 respectively.

The TVBZ data dismantles the leftist argument that foreigners commit high rates of violent crime simply because they are mostly young males. The data reveals that German suspects within the same age brackets have drastically lower crime rates.

Germany’s welfare state provides food, shelter, and consumer goods to foreign youths, so the “crimes of desperation” argument also falls flat.

Hess’s reaction to the data: “This is the predictable result of a migration policy that has completely failed for decades and has given up all control since 2015.”

President Trump Reveals What He Wants His Legacy to Be After He Exits the Oval Office for the Final Time (VIDEO)

Credit: Fox News screenshot

President Trump has told the country how he hopes to be remembered in the history books when his time in the Oval Office is over.

The president sat down with his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, in an exclusive Fox News interview taped for Sunday, July 13. The two discussed the 47th president’s first six months in office, the failures of the Biden regime, and the Texas floods.

Lara asked her father-in-law what he wanted his legacy to be when his presidency is over and his political career concludes. The president’s reply was quite poignant.

WATCH:

LARA TRUMP: When history looks back on this time in our country, when history looks back on you, how would you like to be remembered?

PRESIDENT TRUMP: A good person, but a person who saved our country. I really believed our country was going down for the fall.

I don’t know if it ever could’ve come back. It was very close to the edge. And I really would like to be known as the man that saved our country.

One could say that God also had a hand in saving America. What we witnessed one year ago today was nothing short of a miracle.

As we all know, Trump came within a centimeter of being assassinated in Butler, Pennsylvania, by a Democrat donor named Thomas Crooks exactly one year ago today, who America still does not know much about.

The President also reflected on his brush with death and how the incident was handled.

“Well, it was unforgettable,” he said. “I didn’t know exactly what was going on. I got whacked. There’s no question about that. And fortunately, I got down quickly. People were screaming, and I got down quickly, fortunately, because I think they shot eight bullets.”

“They should have had somebody in the building, that was a mistake,” Trump continued. “They should have had communications with the local police, they weren’t tied in, and they should have been tied in. So there were mistakes made, and that shouldn’t have happened.”

“But I was satisfied in terms of the bigger plot, the larger plot. And I have great confidence in these people. I know the people. And they’re very talented, very capable. But they had a bad day. And I think they’ll admit that. They had a rough day.”

UPDATE: Authorities Identify Trump-Hating Leftist Who Got Obliterated by a Police Officer After Attacking Man Outside TPUSA Event in Florida and Charge Him With Three Crimes

Credit: @Julio_Rosas11 X screenshot/The Blaze

Authorities have identified the Trump-hating individual who got wrecked by a policeman after deciding to act like a ‘tough guy’ in Florida yesterday and charged him with multiple crimes.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, a male wearing a white shirt and blue ball cap parked his car and blocked traffic outside the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit (SAS) event in Tampa.

Blaze Reporter Julio Rosas showed footage of the thug marching towards TPUSA attendees. The man then can be heard challenging someone to a fight.

“Let’s go…you want some of this?” the man says.

He began to walk away before a man wearing a black shirt confronted him, and the leftist slapped him on the shoulder. After dancing for a few moments in fighting position, he seemingly gave up and started walking back to his vehicle.

But, out of nowhere, a police officer charges in and roughly shoves the woke moron to the ground. He stumbled and fell flat on his face.

The cop then grabbed the man off the ground while putting him in a chokehold and then took him right to the ground again while the crowd cheered in approval.

Now, Rosas has obtained a police report identifying the thug as 45-year-old Trevor Darryl Smith, a white man just shy of 6 feet tall. Smith has been hit with three charges: resisting arrest, battery, and driving under the influence.

The last one may help explain his stupid actions.

A LinkedIn profile with the same name says he works as a loan advisor and was named 2021 Mortgage Advisor of the Year.

It should be noted, though, that authorities have not officially confirmed this information.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office says that Smith remains behind bars.
