President Donald Trump said Wednesday he will travel to Beijing May 14–15 for talks with China’s President Xi Jinping, postponing a long-planned China visit as the White House remains consumed by the expanding war with Iran.
In the announcement on Truth Social, Trump added that the White House will host a second, reciprocal visit for President Xi in Washington, DC, at a later date, this year, describing the planned trip as “a Monumental Event.”
Trump’s second term has featured significant American military support for Taiwan, including an $11 billion arms package announced in December featuring HIMARS rocket systems, self-propelled howitzers, and missiles. The sale, one of the largest ever proposed for Taipei, drew a furious response from Beijing, which said it undermined China’s sovereignty and would further destabilize the Taiwan Strait.
Federal housing regulator Bill Pulte has criminally referred embattled New York Attorney General Letitia James to the Justice Department for homeowner insurance fraud.
Pulte previously referred James for prosecution for mortgage fraud related to her property in Norfolk, Virginia.
Last year, Article III Project founder Mike Davis said that then-US Attorney Lindsey Halligan revealed that Letitia James may have defrauded her homeowners’ insurer.

According to Just The News, Pulte criminally referred Letitia James to the Justice Department again:
The director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has again referred New York Attorney General Letitia James to the U.S. Department of Justice for criminal prosecution, proffering allegations that New York’s top cop may have falsified information on her homeowner’s insurance application.
The FHFA Director William Pulte, who oversees Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and the Federal Home Loan Banks, asked U.S. Attorneys in Florida and Illinois on Wednesday to “authenticate and investigate” the information, according to two letters reviewed by Just the News.
In December, a federal grand jury in Virginia declined to Letitia James for mortgage fraud.
It was the second time federal prosecutors failed to secure an indictment against Letitia James after her other case was dismissed by a Clinton-appointed judge.
James was previously charged with two crimes: Bank Fraud under 18 U.S.C. Section 1344 and False Statements to a Financial Institution under 18 U.S.C. Section 1014.
The charges were related to a mortgage loan on a property James owns in Norfolk, Virginia, referred to as “the Perrone Property.”

In January it was reported that federal prosecutors launched a new criminal investigation into Letitia James over financial transactions with her longtime hairdresser, Iyesata Marsh.
The New York Times and CBS reported that the new investigation, which is still in the early stages, is being led by the Northern District of New York and the Western District of Louisiana.
President Trump will deliver remarks tonight at the annual National Republican Congressional Committee fundraising dinner in Washington, DC.
The event, hosted by the House GOP fundraising committee, will be held at Washington, DC’s Union Station.
This comes as Senate Republicans, led by RINO Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD), struggle to whip support for the SAVE America Act.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Thune suggested Republicans may resort to reconciliation to bypass Democrat obstruction and pass the SAVE America Act with just 50 votes plus Vice President JD Vance.
However, Thune has faced blowback from House Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) and Senator Mike Lee (R-UT), who say that the move would fail due to Senate rules and the Senate Parliamentarian’s veto power.
Luna accused the Senate of “sidestepping” SAVE America and “looking to play the blame game with the parliamentarian.“
Because the SAVE America Act is a policy change, requiring proof of citizenship to vote, the Senate Parliamentarian will almost certainly strip it from any reconciliation bill, Lee explained.
The only viable option would be to nuke the filibuster and pass the SAVE America Act with a simple majority in the Senate. This would also allow the Senate to reopen the government and pass other legislation for Trump to sign into law before the next Congress is seated.
If Republicans can’t pass Trump’s agenda, they deserve to lose the midterms, which appears likely to happen.
The President is scheduled to speak at 7:20 pm ET.
The Justice Department on Tuesday evening requested the House Intelligence Committee send federal prosecutors classified interview transcripts from John Brennan’s interview related to his role in the Trump-Russia collusion probe.
Former CIA Director John Brennan is the “target” of the grand jury Russiagate probe in South Florida, according to his lawyers.
Last July, it was reported that former FBI Director James Comey and John Brennan were under FBI investigation over their involvement in Russiagate.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe referred Brennan and Comey for prosecution last summer.
US Attorney in the Southern District of Florida Jason Reding Quiñones is in charge of the investigation.
Last November, Fox News reported that a federal grand jury subpoenaed John Brennan, former FBI lawyer Lisa Page and former FBI counterintelligence special agent Peter Strzok.
Peter Strzok was fired from the FBI in 2018 for violating bureau policies after he launched the ‘Crossfire Hurricane‘ Trump-Russia probe in July 2016.
Strzok and his paramour, Lisa Page, discussed an “insurance policy” to keep Trump out of office.
Other profanity-laced text messages between Strzok and Page showed their contempt for Donald Trump.
Republicans on the House Intel Committee voted Tuesday night to send Brennan’s classified transcripts over to the Department of Justice.
“House Republicans voted behind closed doors Tuesday evening to send classified transcripts tied to former CIA Director John Brennan to the Justice Department, a move that signals the Trump administration is advancing a possible criminal case against one of the most prominent figures in the discredited Russia investigation from President Donald Trump’s first term,” the Washington Examiner reported.
“The vote, taken inside the Capitol’s secure facility, fell along party lines and exposed sharp divisions within the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Republicans backed the transfer of the transcripts at the DOJ’s request, while Democrats objected, arguing they were given insufficient time to review the material after receiving it just days earlier,” the Examiner reported.

Utah Senator John Curtis (R-UT), Mitt Romney’s replacement, went on national television on Wednesday to carry water for the radical Left.

Joe Kernen: Do we need, then, to—anyone who’s here illegally that hasn’t committed a crime—Senator Curtis, should there be a path to citizenship? Is that what compassion means to you, or should these people not be allowed to stay?
Sen. Curtis: Well, then let me ask you a question. Is there any law—any rule broken in our country—where we don’t have a consequence defined? So why don’t we have a consequence defined when it comes to coming into this country without documentation? We continue to allow these people to be here, but we haven’t defined what their consequence is.
Joe Kernen: So that’s an inaction from policymakers?
Sen. Curtis: Absolutely.
Joe Kernen: All right. So what would you say we need to do, then? What’s your answer to that? I guess it’s like every other—
Sen. Curtis: So first of all, you have to define amnesty.
Joe Kernen: “Is that like what ‘is,’ is?”
Sen. Curtis: But any other crime that’s committed here in our country, we define what—we define what the punishment is. And we’ve failed to do that in this case.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt commented on Joe Kent’s resignation letter during a press briefing on Wednesday.
Asked by RealClearPolitics’s Phillip Wegmann about recent comments by Kent, where he said Trump’s “red line” had moved “from saying that Iran can’t have a nuclear weapon to saying Iran can’t have any enrichment,” Leavitt highlighted statements in Kent’s public resignation letter.
Kent, she said, “resigned in disgrace and accused the President of basically being controlled by foreign countries and foreign manipulation, which is a ridiculous and laughable assertion. So, his accusations have zero credibility as far as this White House is concerned.”
When asked about the specific claim of Trump’s shift in policy on Iran, Leavitt did not directly address the claim, stating, “I think the President has been quite clear in what he wants to see from the Iranian regime, which is why he chose to launch Operation Epic Fury in the first place.”

Wegmann: I was wondering if you would respond to some of this criticism of the administration from past allies like Joe Kent, who have said that the President’s Red Line shifted from Iran cannot obtain a nuclear weapon to Iran cannot pursue nuclear enrichment. What is the administration’s response to that criticism?

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Kent resigned from his position as the Trump Administration’s Director of the National Counterterrorism Center last week, citing his opposition to the war in Iran and undue influence from Israeli officials.
“Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby,” he said in a letter to President Trump.
“Early in this administration, high-ranking Israeli officials and influential members of the American media deployed a misinformation campaign that wholly undermined your America First platform and sowed pro-war sentiments to encourage a war with Iran. This echo chamber was used to deceive you into believing that Iran posed an imminent threat to the United States, and that should you strike now, there was a clear path to a swift victory. This was a lie and is the same tactic the Israelis used to draw us into the disastrous Iraq war that cost our nation the lives of thousands of our best men and women. We cannot make this mistake again,” the letter continued.
President Trump responded to his resignation, calling Kent “very weak on security,” adding, “When I read his statement, I realized that it’s a good thing he’s out because he said Iran was not a threat.”
The White House Press Secretary also issued a lengthy 450-word response to Kent’s resignation, condemning his “absurd” allegations about Israeli influence and highlighting “strong and compelling evidence that Iran was going to attack the United States first.”
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard later came out, defending President Trump’s decision to bomb Iran based on his conclusion that “the terrorist Islamist regime in Iran posed an imminent threat.”

A loud-mouthed House Democrat totally flipped out after being totally exposed and humiliated after moving to subpoena Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Wednesday.
As The Hill reported, Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY) moved to subpoena Rubio, U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner before the House Foreign Affairs Committee over the war in Iran by the end of April so the American public and Congress “can hear from them directly on the most pressing international security matter facing Americans today: President Trump’s war of choice in Iran.”
“If this committee cannot hold hearings on a war involving U.S. forces, the diplomacy around it, and its impacts on our allies and partners, then we are not meeting our most basic oversight responsibility,” he added.
But Meeks’ showboating quickly came back to haunt him. House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast (R-FL) proceeded to humiliate him by exposing a damning truth: not only had Meeks not been showing up for classified briefings, but he had often been late for those he had attended.
Hearing this sent Meeks over the edge, and he yelled at Mast for several minutes. He falsely accused the Florida congressman of covering up for Trump and not holding public briefings.
He also again demanded that he call Witkoff, Rubio, and Kushner in to testify.
Mast somehow managed to keep his cool, even offering to keep Meeks posted whenever there’s a briefing, public or private, on the calendar. Meeks, of course, refused to listen and continued shouting.
The exchange concludes with Meeks continuing to scream, “Do you believe the American people deserve transparency!” and yelling for public hearings. In contrast, Mast continued to tell him he could start showing up to work.

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner threatened to arrest and prosecute federal ICE agents working at Philadelphia International Airport on Tuesday.
Krasner held a press conference at the airport as ICE agents arrived to assist overwhelmed Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers.
The deployment was ordered by President Trump to help ease long security lines and flight delays caused by severe staffing shortages at TSA checkpoints.
The partial government shutdown, caused by Democrats refusing to budge on DHS funding, is now in its 39th day. It has left TSA officers working without pay, and reports of 3,200 agents not showing up for their shifts on Monday alone, and another 458 who recently quit.
During his remarks, Krasner told reporters and the agents on site that he expects them to uphold the law while operating in Philadelphia.
“This is how it works — you commit crimes within the jurisdiction that is the city and county of Philadelphia, I prosecute you,” Krasner said. “That is how it works. No, I don’t take a phone call from the president saying ‘Let em go.’ No, the president cannot pardon you. I’ll say it again, the president cannot pardon you.”
Krasner escalated by bringing up the chaos caused by leftist agitators in Minneapolis, which resulted in two of them being killed during confrontations with agents.
“And yes, I will put you in handcuffs, and I will put you in a courtroom, and if necessary, I will put you in a jail cell if you decide to make the terrazzo floor of this floor anything like you did in the streets of Minneapolis, which involved the criminal homicide of unarmed, innocent people.”

President Trump had specifically directed the agents not to wear masks while assisting TSA in order to speed up processing.
