Anti-Racism ICON Caught Funding Neo-Nazis…

A protest scene with a speaker and a noose symbolizing oppression

The Southern Poverty Law Center stands accused of secretly funneling $270,000 to a white supremacist who planned the deadly 2017 Charlottesville rally, betraying donors who trusted them to fight hate.

DOJ Indictment Details

The U.S. Department of Justice unsealed an indictment against the Southern Poverty Law Center on April 21, 2026. Prosecutors charge the organization with fraud, conspiracy, and money laundering. From 2014 to 2023, SPLC allegedly transferred millions to individuals in extremist groups including the Ku Klux Klan, National Alliance, Aryan Nations, and National Socialist Movement. Funds moved through fictitious entities such as “Center Investigative Agency,” “Fox Photography,” and “Rare Books Warehouse” via prepaid cards and vague wire transfers. This scheme concealed activities from donors and banks while SPLC solicited contributions by claiming to combat these very groups.

Link to Charlottesville Tragedy

One recipient received approximately $270,000 and actively helped plan the 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. The rally, held August 11-12, opposed removal of a Robert E. Lee statue and united alt-right, neo-Confederates, neo-Nazis, white nationalists, Klansmen, and militias. Violence erupted with over 30 injuries from clashes. James Alex Fields Jr. rammed counter-protesters, killing Heather Heyer and injuring 35. Fields faced murder conviction in 2018 and federal hate crimes in 2019. SPLC’s alleged payments overlapped this deadly event, raising questions about their true role.

SPLC’s Hypocritical Operations

Founded in 1971, the SPLC monitors hate groups and amassed a $700 million endowment from donors supporting civil rights and anti-extremism. Publicly, it warned of events like Charlottesville amid debates over Confederate symbols. Privately, the indictment portrays SPLC as funding active participants, not mere informants. This duality deceived contributors who believed their money fought extremism. Conservative critics long argued SPLC smeared patriots and traditional values as “hate,” now federal charges expose financial manipulation that erodes trust in such organizations.

Power dynamics reveal SPLC’s financial dominance over recipients. Leadership, unnamed in details, orchestrated the scheme. The DOJ now holds them accountable, aligning with President Trump’s commitment to transparent governance and rooting out leftist overreach that harms American families and values.

Impacts and Broader Repercussions

Short-term effects include potential arrests of SPLC leadership, donor withdrawals, and operational halts under $700 million scrutiny. Long-term, credibility as a hate-watchdog crumbles, inviting donor lawsuits and distrust in NGOs. Civil rights groups suffer guilt by association. Extremist networks may destabilize without covert funds, while Charlottesville victims’ families confront reopened wounds. Economically, asset freezes and legal battles loom; socially, debates intensify over nonprofit transparency.

Politically, SPLC’s influence in places like Mississippi faces challenge. This fuels narratives of left-wing hypocrisy, where groups preaching tolerance fund division. Nonprofits now brace for stricter IRS and DOJ oversight on funding practices. Anti-extremism efforts warrant skepticism when tied to such scandals, protecting conservative principles of limited government and honest stewardship.

WATCH: “Weak, Pathetic Little Men” to Blame for UK Immigration Crisis, Warns Nick Buckley

In an exclusive interview on The Patriot Perspective, British community leader and activist Nick Buckley did not hold back in describing what he sees as the driving force behind Britain’s worsening immigration crisis: failed leadership and a complete lack of political courage.

Buckley, a longtime community figure in the UK, argued that the crisis facing Britain today is not simply the result of high migration numbers, but the product of years of weak decision-making at the highest levels of government.

His criticism was direct and unmistakable, pointing to what he described as “weak, pathetic little men” in leadership positions who have refused to enforce laws, secure borders, or even address the issue honestly.

According to Buckley, the consequences of those decisions are now visible across the country.

Local communities are facing increased strain on housing, public services, and infrastructure, while ordinary citizens are left dealing with the fallout.

He emphasized that the issue extends beyond policy failures and reflects a deeper unwillingness among political leaders to prioritize national stability over short-term political calculations.

Buckley also highlighted the broader cultural and political environment that, in his view, has allowed the crisis to grow unchecked.

Open discussion about immigration, he argued, is often shut down or dismissed by the Left, making it difficult to confront the scale of the problem.

That reluctance, Buckley said, has only made matters worse, as leaders avoid accountability while conditions continue to deteriorate.

Importantly, Buckley’s criticism was not limited to one party. He pointed to a pattern of inaction across the political spectrum, arguing that successive governments have had opportunities to fix the system but instead chose to delay meaningful reform.

The result, he warned, is a situation that is becoming increasingly difficult to reverse.

At the same time, Buckley made clear that solutions do exist—but only if leadership is willing to act. He called for stronger border enforcement, clearer immigration standards, and a renewed focus on policies that prioritize the interests of British citizens.

Without those changes, he suggested, the current trajectory will continue to put pressure on institutions and deepen divisions within the country.

The interview offers a stark look at one of the most contentious issues in modern British politics, delivered in terms that leave little room for ambiguity.

The issue facing the United Kingdom closely parallels developments in the United States, where large-scale immigration from developing countries has accelerated in recent years.

While the scale and impact differ between the two countries, the underlying challenges—particularly around integration and public resource use—remain central to the policy debate.

In the United States, concerns focus on assimilation rates and the strain on social programs, while in the United Kingdom, the pace and volume of migration have intensified these pressures to levels many did not anticipate.

Buckley’s message is simple: the crisis did not emerge overnight, and it will not be resolved without a fundamental shift in how leaders approach immigration.

These political candidates got caught red-handed.

Prediction market Kalshi announced in a press release that two Democrat candidates and one Republican candidate have been suspended and fined after engaging in insider trading on the platform.

According to the press release, the political candidates placed prediction trades on the outcomes of their own elections.

NBC News reported that Mark Moran, a Democrat running for a U.S. Senate seat in Virginia, Matt Klein, a Democrat running for Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District, and Republican Ezekiel Enriquez, who previously ran in the Republican primary for Texas’ 21st Congressional District, have all been fined and suspended by Kalshi.

Per NBC News:

Prediction market Kalshi said Wednesday that it had fined and suspended three political candidates for trading on their own races during primary campaigns.

“Just like in traditional financial markets, bad actors will try to cheat,” Kalshi said in a statement. “These three cases are an example of how developing proactive engineering solutions can help identify illicit trading activity.”

Kalshi described the actions taken by the politicians as “political insider trading.”

The fines ranged from $539 to more than $6,200, while the suspensions from Kalshi are set to last five years.

The candidates include Matt Klein, who is running in the Democratic primary for Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District; Ezekiel Enriquez, who ran in the Republican primary for Texas’ 21st Congressional District; and Mark Moran, who is running in the Democratic primary for a U.S. Senate seat in Virginia.

Previously, Kalshi did not fine or suspend candidates betting on their own campaigns, but after Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Sen. John Curtis, R-Utah, introduced the “Prediction Markets are Gambling Act,” the company reversed course.

The new bipartisan legislation aims to ban prediction markets from creating contracts related to sporting events.

Fortune reported that states and Native Tribes have also filed legal challenges that claim Kalshi is running an “unlicensed gambling operation.”

The English Economic Muddle

The English Economic Muddle

The UK economy lags America’s poorest state, and the IMF says it’s going to get much worse.

If you really want to start an argument with a Labour politician, just ask them why Britain is now poorer than the poorest state in America, Mississippi.

“Nonsense,” they would say. “That is a right-wing trope debunked by fact-checks.” Crude comparisons, they’d insist, ignore social transfers and how much Americans spend on health without the beneficence of the NHS.

They would be wrong. In terms of GDP per head—i.e. wealth creation—Britain has indeed been falling behind America’s poorest state: €49,780 against €48,411 in 2024.

Even by the International Monetary Fund’s Purchasing Power Parity standards, Mississippi is still above the UK. And this was the case before the war in Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz: Britain has been lagging behind America’s poorest state for years. And it is about to get a lot worse.

The International Monetary Fund reported this week that Britain faces the biggest economic shock in the G7 of industrialized countries. The world’s leading financial forecaster thinks that, in the coming years, Britain will have the highest inflation and one of the smallest increases in living standards in the world. This year the Brits will get £600 poorer because of increases in food, petrol, and household gas. There is even talk of food shortages.

This is not good news. Living standards have been essentially stagnant in the UK since the 2008 financial crash—the longest wage freeze since the Napoleonic Wars. Burdened with welfare costs that dwarf income tax receipts, and a debt pile of $3 trillion, the UK is in a spiral of decline.

Of course, the IMF can get things wrong. It often fails to predict growth rates and is constantly revising its figures. Last month saw a surprise uptick in UK GDP. Supporters of Brexit say the IMF got the impact of the UK leaving the European Union wrong: Growth in the UK since 2016 has been comparable with EU countries like Germany.

But this is cold comfort. The European Union has itself been lagging far behind the US as it tries to cope with the consequences of its growth-killing energy policies. The Bank of England, crucially, believes the IMF and is already changing policy on interest rates as a result of its forecasts.

Just weeks ago, analysts were expecting the Bank to continue cutting interest rates to try to boost growth. Financial markets now believe the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee will increase the base rate from 3.75 percent to 4.5 percent in the next six months. These forecasts themselves indicate that a recessionary mentality is taking root in the UK.

Britain already has the highest borrowing costs in the G7 even before global investors start pricing in the forthcoming inflation shock. The independent Office for Budget Responsibility estimates that a one percentage point increase in base rates will cost the UK government more than £10 billion in the next four years.

But that is a conservative estimate. It doesn’t take account of the UK government’s penchant for ramping up spending and borrowing while taxing the life out of businesses. Labour entered government promising to stick to all manner of responsible fiscal rules and growth policies. In the event, it has followed the course of all previous Labour governments.  As the old political saying goes: Dogs bark, cats meow, and Labour puts up taxes. Over £80 billion in less than two years.

The UK Labour government has been in hock to the public sector unions and has been awarding workers above-inflation pay rises. Resident doctors have had a pay hike of nearly 30 percent over the last two years—and yet are striking for more.

The ailing National Health Service’s productivity is still way below pre-pandemic levels, despite many billions of investment from the previous Tory government and Keir Starmer’s. The NHS now consumes nearly half of all day-to-day departmental spending. That is extra to the welfare bill and pensions bill.

But the real problem, and one the IMF also addresses, is energy. The UK has some of the highest energy prices in the world. British industry pays three to four times what American firms pay for electricity. This is unsustainable.

Pharmaceutical firms like AstraZeneca and Eli Lilly have paused or cancelled £2 billion in planned investments, according to the BBC. OpenAI last week shelved its “Stargate UK” data center because of high energy costs and stifling regulation.

Red tape is also a huge problem in the UK. The cost of the UK’s landmark investment, the HS2 fast rail service, has ballooned from £31 billion to nearly £100 billion and is a decade behind schedule. The project became the butt of much wry humor when it was revealed that over £100 million was spent on a bat corridor to prevent Bechstein’s flying rodents colliding with trains. The UK’s Hinkley Point C nuclear power station is also massively delayed and over budget, not least because of £700 million spent on protecting a handful of fish.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer is fully aware of Britain’s regulatory insanity but seems unable to do anything about it. Britain’s anti-growth regime has built up over years. It is a result of the accretion of laws passed unthinkingly by successive governments on issues like health and safety, protecting the environment, reducing traffic and, of course, promoting race and gender equality. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Similarly, the road to prosperity is paved with cheap energy. Britain’s energy crisis is a legacy of successive governments’ attempts to make net zero commitments legally binding. The UK Supreme Court ruled last year that development of the Jackdaw and Rosebank oil fields off Scotland’s coast would be incompatible with the government’s climate laws.

Well, change them, you might say—and you would be right. The UK Energy Secretary Ed Miliband could force through drilling in these fields, but has so far refused on the grounds that it would be “climate vandalism.” The result is that Britain is importing tens of billions of pounds worth of liquefied natural gas from countries like America in preference to developing its own energy resources.  British politicians are morally naive and economically illiterate.

Mississippi also claims to be sound on the environment, especially restoring habitats and preserving the ecosystem of the Delta region. Sixty-five percent of the state is forested, and the forest is regarded as a precious resource. But somehow, Mississippi manages to industrialize as well, even as it is still dogged by a legacy of chronic poverty and low life expectancy. However, ’Ssippians can at least hold their heads high when they encounter visitors from their former colonial overlords. The UK is going nowhere but down, led by an elite obsessed with cultural issues who seem to regard declinism as morally preferable to capitalism.

A New Nobel Prize for War

A New Nobel Prize for War

Finally there’s an award that President Trump deserves to win.

With the Middle East in flames, President Donald Trump’s desperate lobbying campaign for the Nobel Peace Prize looks ever more bizarre. Of course, his claim to have ended and prevented numerous wars is more fantasy than reality.

Worse, his surprise bombing of Iran amid negotiations, twice, demonstrated that his goal is anything but peace. Moreover, his proposal for a massive military buildup with no connection to American security suggests he is preparing even more reckless wars of choice. He has ostentatiously flouted Alfred Nobel’s desire to reward those who did “the most or the best work within the past year for building fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies.” Rather, the president has threatened to commit war crimes, wreck countries, and destroy civilizations.

However, it would be a shame to disappoint someone so desperate for public acclaim. It is time to create a Nobel War Prize, to denounce rather than praise the year’s most ostentatious warmonger or warmongers. Although 2026 is far from over, Trump would be a strong favorite this year.

Unfortunately, the 20th and 21st Centuries are filled with atrocious wannabe awardees. For instance, after sparking the Russo-Japanese War, Czar Nicholas II and Emperor Meiji should share the 1904 prize. The two Balkan Wars began in 1912, launched by a gaggle of ambitious, nationalistic leaders of Bulgaria, Greece, Montenegro, and Serbia, all of whom deserve the high (dis)honor.

In 1914 the winner would be Gavrilo Princip, the young Serbian terrorist who assassinated the heir apparent to the Austro-Hungarian throne, lighting the fuse to World War I. The conflict killed 20 million people, ravaged Europe, consumed three empires, undermined leading democracies, spawned communism, fascism, and Nazism, and led to World War II.

Three years later the prize would have gone to President Woodrow Wilson, who was reelected for keeping America out of war and then deceitfully plunged the nation into the continental abattoir. Washington’s entry set up the unbalanced Versailles Treaty, which French Marshall Ferdinand Foch reportedly warned was merely “an armistice for 20 years,” with another big war to follow.

Militaristic generals and pliant politicians deserved a Nobel War Prize in 1931, when Tokyo began its disastrous attempt to coerce and conquer China with its invasion of Manchuria, and in 1937, when Tokyo expanded its campaign. Preventing the otherwise likely victory of the Kuomintang, or Nationalists, over the Communist Party enabled the “Red Emperor,” Mao Zedong, to triumph and become the greatest mass killer in human history.

The 1935 war medal would go to Italy’s Benito Mussolini, who began his drive to create a new Roman empire by attacking Ethiopia. The resulting international opposition and isolation ultimately led him to become an ally of Nazi Germany.

In 1939 Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin jointly deserved the award after agreeing to erase Poland as a nation and divide the rest of the geographic spoils. In 1941 Hitler would be the sole recipient, launching Operation Barbarossa against his former Soviet partner. The result was one of history’s worst conflagrations, followed by a divided Germany and Europe.

Charles de Gaulle, though a national hero, nevertheless deserved the prize in 1945 for seeking to reconstitute the French empire in Southeast Asia. This ultimately led to Paris’ humiliating defeat and exit from Vietnam. Tragically, American intervention soon followed.

Three years later the first of a series of Arab–Israeli conflicts erupted. An ensemble cast of British officials, Jewish refugees, and Arab nationalists deserves medals for the series of wars between Israel and its neighbors that continue to this day, with Washington’s involvement.

In 1950 North Korea’s Kim Il-sung would get the nod. The peninsula’s division persists, made more threatening by Pyongyang’s acquisition of nuclear weapons. Mao deserved the medal in 1951 for taking his nation into the Korean War.

President Lyndon Johnson would have earned the award in 1964 for dramatically escalating America’s involvement in Vietnam. His predecessor, President John F. Kennedy, shared blame for entangling America in the conflict. Despite tens of thousands of American battle deaths, the Vietnamese people remain under a unified communist government today.

In 1965, Pakistani Gen. Akhtar Hussain Malik would have won the medal. He planned a covert military offensive in the disputed territory of Kashmir, controlled by India. However, his campaign misfired, triggering a brief but losing war.

President Richard Nixon deserved the nod in 1969. While promising to exit Vietnam he bombed even more and expanded the conflict to Cambodia and Laos. Although primary responsibility for the resulting slaughter in the former remains with the victorious rebel leader, Pol Pot, his worst crimes occurred after the conflict.

Pakistani President Yahya Khan earned a Nobel War Prize in 1971 after his murderous political crackdown in what became Bangladesh, leading India to plan military intervention. Khan then staged a preemptive attack on New Delhi’s forces, but lost the ensuing fight. The Nixon administration “tilted” toward Islamabad, gaining at least an honorable mention.

Somalia’s President Mohamed Siad Barre deserved a medal after invading Ethiopia in 1977, seeking territorial gain. He lost after the latter received support from Cuba and the Soviet Union, leading to an eventual civil war in Somalia and dissolution of the Somali state.

In 1979 China’s “paramount leader” Deng Xiaoping and Soviet Communist Party General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev would have claimed the award. The former rejected Maoist chaos but launched an offensive to “teach” recently reunited Vietnam a lesson. Brezhnev invaded Afghanistan, fueling Islamic radicalism, which ultimately drew in America.

A year later Iraq’s Saddam Hussein was the most obvious claimant with his invasion of Iran. The eight-year conflict killed hundreds of thousands of people before ending in stalemate. He deserved another medal in 1990 for his invasion of Kuwait, which was soon brutally reversed by the U.S. in the Gulf War.

In 1982 President Ronald Reagan earned the award for foolishly entering the tragic, multi-sided Lebanese Civil War. After America’s embassy and Marine Corps barracks were bombed, Reagan withdrew and acknowledged his mistake.

Although Yugoslavia’s breakup began as a civil war, the struggle went international when the U.S. intervened, first in Bosnia in 1994, and later in Kosovo in 1999. Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic deserved the prize both years, along with President Bill Clinton, who needlessly made these conflicts America’s own.

The Rwandan genocide resulted in greater carnage than most wars, but the slaughter originated within rather than without that nation. (Similar was the later murderous campaign in Darfur, which began as part of Sudan’s civil war.) However, in 1996 Laurent-Desire Kabila led a revolt in neighboring Zaire, later renamed the Democratic Republic of Congo, in an attempt to pacify remnants of the Hutu insurgents that had fled there after being defeated in Rwanda. Years of fighting ensued with a gaggle of other nations joining. The conflict killed some 5.4 million people, mostly civilians, and displaced two million more.

The era of “what we say goes” ended for America when President George W. Bush intervened in Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2003, making him another two-time winner. Although he rightly targeted the Taliban regime for hosting al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden, he expanded the mission to promote a centralized, democratic government, which had never existed there. The Iraq war was based on the lie of an active nuclear program and resulted in the deaths of thousands of American and allied troops and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians, while loosing the Islamic State upon the region.

President Barack Obama would also be a double winner, having intervened in Libya’s civil war in 2011 and Syria’s much lengthier and bloodier contest in 2014. Neither conflict, in which numerous European and Middle Eastern states also meddled, implicated vital U.S. interests or warranted American participation.

In 2022 the undisputed victor would be Russia’s Vladimir Putin. Although the U.S.-led West had recklessly antagonized Moscow, ignoring its security fears, there was no justification for its invasion of Ukraine. Putin is responsible for the resulting mass destruction and death in both nations.

Two winners would have emerged in 2023. Hamas political leader Yahya Sinwar launched a brutal attack on Israel, killing more than 800 civilians, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded with much deadlier retaliation, killing tens of thousands of civilians. He also expanded his campaign to Lebanon, Syria, and Iran. Eventually the U.S. was drawn in, with a one-off attack on the latter in 2025 and this year’s full-scale campaign.

President Trump obviously is not the worst militaristic offender. But he need not despair. His misbegotten attack on Iran would still place a Nobel War Prize within reach. Better, however, for him to repent and promote peace, putting America first. Americans elected Donald Trump to represent them, not another government. And what they—we—most need is peace. Starting in the Middle East.

Thinking Outside the Cooler on Crime

Thinking Outside the Cooler on Crime

Why does the press care more about criminals’ lives than cops’ or citizens’?

US-POLICE-JUSTICE-DEMO

There’s been some dissension recently about the three-to-nine-year prison sentence handed down by a New York judge to former police sergeant, Erik Duran, for throwing a plastic beverage cooler at a fleeing suspect in the Bronx. The cooler hit the perp in the arm, causing him to lose control of his motorcycle, crash, and die. The harsh sentence was uncharacteristic for Supreme Court Justice Guy Mitchell, who a few years earlier gave only nine months to a guy who beat a homeless man to death.

But what the complainers don’t realize is that there is an epidemic of violent, cisgendered white male cops killing entirely innocent model citizens, out for a day’s drive on their moped, by attacking them with flung coolers—fast becoming the lethal weapon of choice for these diabolical killers. Finally, one judge said: “ENOUGH!”

That was the tone of the New York Times’ article on the officer’s sentence. In the Times’ telling, the case wasn’t about causation, intent or reasonableness, but a test of “how the legal system would respond when officers harmed or killed people.” To the Times’ satisfaction, this was “the first conviction of a New York Police Department officer for killing a civilian in a decade.”

Duran has to be sent to the hoosegow to fill some imaginary quota in the Times’ head for how many cops should be sent to prison. If not actual justice, it was cosmic justice.

Times readers would be shocked to learn this, but cops kill civilians only about 1000 times a year. That’s out of 50 million interactions with the public, or 0.00002 percent of the time.

Between 2016 and 2020, the Times put more than 60 cop-bashing headlines on its front page, according to the must-read book, “Special Victim Status” by Gregory Mantell. For each anti-police story, there were four murdered officers in the same time period, whose deaths the Times ignored or buried.

Here are just a few of the anti-cop headlines from the Newspaper of Record:

“Excessive Force Is Rife in Chicago”
“Fort Worth Police Have More Violence to Answer For, Residents Say”
“Departments and Multiple Infractions for One New Jersey Police Officer”
“A Small Ohio Town Clamors to Curb Aggressive Policing”
“Georgia Killing Puts Spotlight on a Police Force’s Troubled History”
“Thousands of Complaints Do Little to Change Police Ways”
“‘Testilying’ by Police: A Stubborn Problem”
“Distrust of the Minneapolis Police, and Also the Effort to Defund Them”
“Another Nightmare Video and the Police on the Defensive in Tucson”

There’s also this amazing statistic: “One single civilian incident, the Breonna Taylor shooting, received more coverage from [the Times] than ALL 312 police officers of all races murdered in the past 5.3 years combined.”

The Times isn’t overly concerned with the fact that the cooler-throwing sergeant was defending himself and other officers from being run over by a 30-year-old drug-dealer coming directly at them on a gas-powered motorcycle. If they’d died or been injured, no big deal. Definitely not front-page material.

Apparently, the mistake the police made was trying to arrest the repeat offender Eric Duprey after observing him sell a vial of cocaine to an undercover officer. When Duprey attempted to escape on his motorbike, the police should have simply leapt out of his way. As Justice Mitchell said, “He could have been captured another day.”

The judge’s logic, quoted by the Times with apparent approval, was that he, personally, “was not convinced that Mr. Duran’s life—or those of his fellow officers—was in danger.” (Certainly not as much danger as being a homeless guy in the vicinity of a murder defendant sentenced by Mitchell.)

Most significantly, the judge said that sending Duran to prison would be “a general deterrent.” I guess now police officers will think twice before trying to stop fleeing felons by throwing picnic items at them!

This gave me an idea for how we might disincentivize psychopaths who commit violent, completely unprovoked attacks on innocent people, slash pedestrians with machetes, rape women on subway platforms, push commuters onto train tracks and other piquant behaviors that have become commonplace in New York.

Prison sentences might work as “general deterrent” on them, too.

Last month, a transgender illegal alien pleaded guilty to raping a 14-year-old boy in the bathroom of a Harlem bodega—and was promptly released by Judge Michele Rodney. (Named “Jurist of the Year” by the Caribbean American Lawyers Association!)

Wouldn’t punishing the rapist, instead of letting him go, operate as a general deterrent to other men thinking of raping 14-year-old boys?

An 18-year-old gang member, Steven Mendez, got probation for participating in a violent 2020 armed robbery and shooting—his second arrest for assault with a firearm. Not long thereafter, the extremely undeterred Mendez murdered a complete stranger, the 19-year-old college student Saikou Koma, by shooting him in the head.

Had Mendez gotten something a little rougher than probation for his earlier violent crimes, we would have had both specific deterrence—Mendez would have been in prison, not on the street shooting a college student in the head—but also general deterrence, for any other psychos considering shooting passersby for absolutely no reason.

Speaking of deterrence, shouldn’t Duran be commended for dissuading bikers like Duprey from ignoring the helmet law?

I think I’ll run my breakthrough idea up the flagpole with the new mayor, citing Mitchell as my inspiration.

But until this “deterrence” thing catches on, at least New Yorkers can be secure in the knowledge that if they’re ever fleeing law enforcement, no police officer will throw Tupperware. And if they kill a cop, their Times-reading relatives will never know about it.

FLASHBACK: Charlie Kirk Called Out the Southern Poverty Law Center as a ‘Hate Group’ Back in 2023

Young man speaking into a microphone at an outdoor event, engaging with an attentive crowd in the background.

Now that the Southern Poverty Law Center has been exposed for the fraud that it is, it’s important to look back at their past behavior and what their critics said about them.

The late Charlie Kirk had their number years ago.

Kirk Even called the SPLC a ‘hate group’ and who could blame him? They basically painted a target on his back just because he was a conservative.

Breitbart News reports:

‘Scam,’ ‘Largest Hate Group’: Charlie Kirk Said Southern Poverty Law Center Tried to Make Turning Point USA ‘Surrender’

The April 21 indictment against the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) comes after the late Charlie Kirk spent years saying the organization’s hate-group designations targeted conservatives, Christians, parental-rights activists, and Turning Point USA.

The Department of Justice announced on Tuesday that the SPLC has been charged in Alabama with 11 counts including wire fraud, false statements to a federally insured bank, and conspiracy to commit concealment money laundering. Prosecutors allege the organization used donor money to secretly fund figures connected to extremist groups while publicly denouncing them…

Kirk discussed the designation during a May 2025 interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham after the SPLC placed Turning Point USA on its “hate map.”

Kirk said:

They’re literally putting High School chapters of ours on a hate group next to the KKK and next to neo Nazi groups. And, I mean, we can laugh this off. There’s an element to this. Remember that there was a shooter that went to the Family Research Council years ago, inspired by the SPLC list. This is them trying to make us basically surrender at Turning Point USA. We’re gonna do the opposite. And our students are only going to lean in even more but they can’t debate us on our ideas. They cannot have dialogue. They cannot actually go on to the merits of why they are right or why we might be wrong. Instead, they must smear us with the age old one liner that you are a racist or that you are a hater. And they’re finally realizing the power of Turning Point USA which is why they put us on this list.

Look at these 2023 tweets from Kirk.

Kirk was a smart guy and ahead of his time.

CNN’s Scott Jennings Rips Virginia Democrats Over Redistricting Measure: ‘They Just Care About Power’ (VIDEO)

Screencap of Twitter/X video.

Last night on CNN, Scott Jennings – the lone conservative voice on the network – called out the Virginia Democrats over their redistricting measure which will disenfranchise millions of independent and Republican voters.

Jennings pointed out that Virginia used to have to most fair district map in the country but that Democrats decided to change it because they ‘just care about power.’

It’s especially maddening because Abigail Spanberger lied on the campaign trail and told voters that she would not do this.

Jennings really nailed this.

Transcript by Curtis Houck:

“Virginia had — literally had the fairest maps in the nation. They had a 6-5 map, six Democrats, five Republicans. In terms of proportional representation, they had the fairest map in the nation. That was drawn, by the way, by an independent commission that the voters asked for just a few years ago. Now they will have the least fair maps in the nation.

And I’m not surprised that the yes vote won. They had all the money and all the lies. And sometimes in politics, when you got those two things, you can put something over the line, even something as egregious as this. This whole thing has driven Spanberger’s approval ratings down into the toilet. She lied to the people of Virginia. They had to write a ballot question that was a joke. They drew maps that were a joke. Now you’re going to have huge chunks of rural Virginia represented by 5 or 6 Democrats who all live in Northern Virginia, within about 15 miles of each other.

It’s a complete joke. Everybody knows it. And there’s a reason that all these national Democrats and all their money came into Virginia, because, you know, they don’t really care about the people of Virginia. They just care about power.”

Watch the video below:

Democrats constantly talk about democracy, but that’s a lie. They don’t care about democracy at all, they care about power. Theirs.

New Report From Conservative Think Tank Claims Gavin Newsom Spent a Billion Dollars to Import 400,000 Illegal Aliens

According to a new report from the Manhattan Institute, California Governor Gavin Newsom not only allowed thousands of illegals to pour into his state, he paid a massive amount of money in order for it to happen.

This was done mainly through grants that were given to charities which then turned around and aided in all of this illegal immigration.

These were tax dollars. The people of California essentially paid for this without their consent. Taxpayers should be furious.

Breitbart News reports:

Report: Gov. Newsom Spent $1 Billion to Import 400,000 Extra Illegal Migrants

California Governor Gavin Newsom covertly spent $1 billion importing 400,000 migrants from poor countries to serve the state’s Democratic political machine and elite-dominated economy, according to data provided by the Manhattan Institute in New York.

“Since Newsom took office, California has granted massive contracts for migrant-related services: more than $250 million to Catholic Charities; $85 million to Jewish Family Services; $12 million to Centro Legal de la Raza; $23 million to the Immigration Institute of the Bay Area; and more,” according to an article by Christopher Rufe in City Journal.

The funding is in addition to California’s share of the massive federal funding directed by President Joe Biden’s pro-migration border chief, Alejandro Mayorkas.

The state’s Democratic government also steered $110 million to the major Latino political machine, the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights Los Angeles (CHIRLA):

CHIRLA can be described as a one-stop activist machine, with the ability to produce propaganda, engage in legal action, and — most importantly — get people into the streets. The group coordinates the L.A. Rapid Response Network, which tracks ICE raids and takes “direct action to shut down detention centers.” During the wave of protests in L.A., CHIRLA activists agitated on social media, led a street protest, and called for a “Summer of Resistance.”

Newsom has always thought that he is untouchable. That’s why he does things like this without a care in the world.

He should be prosecuted for this. These tax dollars were stolen from the people of California and used against them.

LIE! Dem Senator Patty Murray Says ‘I’ve Not Heard One Democrat Say Defund ICE’ (VIDEO)

Screencap of Twitter/X video.

Democrat Senator Patty Murray of Washington state must have been living under a rock for the last two years because she recently stood before cameras and said with a straight face that she has “not heard one Democrat say defund ICE.”

It’s just amazing how easily these people can lie. The lie and lie and lie. They lie even when they know that you know that they’re lying.

Watch this:

Here are a few examples to refresh Patty’s memory.

Democrats have even introduced legislation to defund ICE:

Ramirez, Clarke Unveil Legislation to Defund ICE, the Melt ICE Act

Today, Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez (IL-03), joined by Congresswoman Yvette Clarke (NY-09), introduced the Melt ICE Act to end the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) funding to detain or monitor immigrants, disrupt DHS’s immigration enforcement. At a time when working families are facing a crushing affordability crisis, the legislation would also redirect funding toward wrap-around services, including housing and healthcare, for communities affected by immigration enforcement.

The legislation comes amid a national call to rein in ICE funding and as Congress announced an appropriations bill to fund DHS that includes $3.84 billion for ICE custody operations and boosts Enforcement and Removal Operations funding to $5.45 billion.

“After handing more than $150B to DHS immigration enforcement, there are those in Congress who would further expand DHS’s budget and ICE’s capacity to enact Trump’s mass deportation agenda. But we have seen what DHS can do with its unlimited resources and unchecked power. And we are saying enough,” said Congresswoman Ramirez. “Our tax dollars must not be used to terrorize our communities and violate our rights. The Melt ICE Act is a line in the sand and a declaration that we will not fuel human suffering. I am proud to join Congresswoman Clarke and advocates to send a message that we do not consent, nor will we enable DHS and ICE’s lawlessness.”

Murray’s lie is so insulting and just so typical of Democrats.

They think no one remembers anything, even things that just happened days or weeks ago.
