‘Happy Tax Day’: NYC Communist Mayor Zohran Mamdani Posts Menacing Message to New Yorkers (Video)

No one loves April 15th more than Democrats as they dream and plan how to spend your money.

On tax day, radical communist NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani posted a menacing message to New Yorkers, reminding them that he is coming for them.

The video starts out with Mamdani telling viewers, “When I ran for mayor, I said I was gonna tax the rich.”

Then, with a grin and an attempt at a bit of Hollywood flair (which translated into creepiness), he leaned menacingly into the camera, tapped the lens and declared, “Well, today we’re taxing the rich.”

“I’m thrilled to announce we’ve secured a pied-à-terre tax, the first in New York’s history. This is an annual fee on luxury properties worth more than $5 million whose owners do not live full-time in the city. Like for this penthouse, which hedge fund CEO Ken Griffin bought for $238 million.”

“This pied-à-terre tax is specifically designed for the richest of the rich, those who store their wealth in New York City real estate but who don’t actually live here.”

“But even so, they’re able to reap the huge financial rewards of owning property in, dare I say, the greatest city in the world. And most of the time, these units are sitting empty since, again, they don’t actually live here. This is a fundamentally unfair system that hurts working New Yorkers.”

“Now, it’s coming to an end. This tax will raise at least $500 million directly for the city.”

“It’ll help fund things like free childcare, cleaner streets, and safer neighborhoods. As mayor, I believe everyone has a role to play in contributing to our city, and some a little bit more than others.”

“Happy Tax Day, New York.”

Less than a month into his tenure, Mamdani made it clear that raising taxes on the ‘wealthy’ to make up the city’s budget deficit was a priority, telling the city’s wealthiest must pay more in taxes to help fill the staggering budget deficit of more than $12 billion that he was left by his predecessor.

On April 7, 2026, Mamdani released the Preliminary Citywide Racial Equity Plan, exposing the framework of his campaign promise of shifting tax burdens from outer-borough homeowners to “more expensive homes in richer and whiter neighborhoods.”

The proposed estate tax threshold of $750,000, which would impose a 50 percent state estate tax on homes above that value, potentially raising the combined federal and state rate to 70 percent.

Billionaire investor Bill Ackman responded to Mamdani’s video, noting, “Non-residents who spend millions of dollars on NYC apartments help drive NYC’s economy. Most of the profit in condominium development is in the penthouses.”

“The Ken Griffins of the world make NYC high end development viable, driving high-paying construction, brokerage, legal, marketing, and other jobs in NYC. We should be applauding Ken for spending $238 million in NYC, not attacking him for doing so.”

“Importantly, non-resident owners of NYC apartments who leave their apartments vacant for much of the year are not a burden to NYC schools, services, or other resources while they drive growth in retail sales, restaurants, theater, and other important drivers of our economy. They also often support NYC non-profits with donations.”

“Ken’s company is a major employer in NYC of very high paying jobs which drive a considerable amount of our tax base. We wouldn’t want him to move even more employees to Miami.”

“These non-resident owners also already pay a lot of taxes including mansion taxes, real estate taxes, sales taxes and more.”

“While @NYCMayor Mamdani likes the tag line ‘Tax the rich.’ Unfortunately, his policies will harm the constituencies he is supposedly trying to help.”

“I can’t imagine the NYC construction unions are excited about his plan.”

BREAKING: Federal Judge LIMITS Construction on President Trump’s Privately-Funded White House Ballroom

A federal judge on Thursday limited the construction on President Trump’s privately-funded White House ballroom.

A federal appeals court on Saturday in a 2-1 ruling said President Trump can continue the construction on the White House ballroom… for now.

The appeals court judges sent the case back down to the US District Court judge who previously halted the construction on the ballroom.

The White House argued that the construction on the ballroom must continue for national security and safety reasons.

The construction can continue until at least April 17, the appeals court judges ruled.

Late last month, a federal judge ordered the privately funded Trump White House ballroom construction project to be halted.

US District Judge Richard Leon, a George W. Bush appointee, temporarily halted construction on the ballroom.

The judge said Congress has to approve the construction project.

On Thursday, after the appeals court sent the case back down to the lower court, Judge Leon limited construction on the White House Ballroom.

The judge said the construction may only proceed on the underground bunker but not the 90,000 square-foot ballroom.

“For the reasons that follow, I will further clarify and amend my Order to stop only above-ground construction of the planned ballroom. My Amended Order does not, however, stop below-ground construction of national security facilities, work necessary to provide for presidential security, and construction necessary to protect and secure the White House and the construction site itself,” Judge Leon wrote in a 10-page opinion.

Judge Leon hit back at Trump and denied that he is playing the role of a ‘construction manager.’

“I will close by noting that I have no desire or intention to be dragooned into the role of construction manager. Contrary to Defendants’ suggestion, I have never required Defendants to “request and receive written approval” before proceeding with construction,” the judge wrote.

Judge Leon paused his order for seven days to give President Trump time to respond.

Last summer, the Trump Administration announced a White House Ballroom construction project.

“For 150 years, Presidents, Administrations, and White House Staff have longed for a large event space on the White House complex that can hold substantially more guests than currently allowed. President Donald J. Trump has expressed his commitment to solving this problem on behalf of future Administrations and the American people,” the Trump White House said.

“The White House is one of the most beautiful and historic buildings in the world, yet the White House is currently unable to host major functions honoring world leaders and other countries without having to install a large and unsightly tent approximately 100 yards away from the main building entrance. The White House State Ballroom will be a much-needed and exquisite addition of approximately 90,000 total square feet of ornately designed and carefully crafted space, with a seated capacity of 650 people — a significant increase from the 200-person seated capacity in the East Room of the White House,” they said.

President Trump blasted Judge Leon last month.

“In the Ballroom case, the Judge said we have to get Congressional approval. He is WRONG! Congressional approval has never been given on anything, in these circumstances, big or small, having to do with construction at the White House. In this case, even less so, because the Ballroom is being built with Private Donations, no Federal Taxpayer Money!” Trump said in a Truth Social post.

A man reportedly tried to jump the fence at a White House entrance gate Thursday afternoon.

He was swiftly tackled by Secret Service agents, with one suspect now in custody, and reports of minor injuries to at least one person involved.

Freelance D.C. media reporter Andrew Leyden (@PenguinSix) was first to break the developing story on X, posting: “Man tries to jump fence at White House entrance gate. Tackled by Secret Service. One in custody. One person minor injuries.”

Leyden included photos showing the chaotic scene unfolding right at the gates of the People’s House.

As of this writing, there is still ZERO information being released about the intruder’s identity, background, motive, or whether this was a lone wolf, a radical activist, or something far more sinister.

Just last month, The Gateway Pundit reported on a van smashing into White House security barricades.

In February, we broke the story of an armed intruder shot dead after breaching President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago perimeter.

Authorities say the individual, who was from North Carolina, had been reported missing by family members several days prior. Investigators believe he traveled south and obtained the shotgun during the trip.

The Gateway Pundit has reached out to the Secret Service for a comment. This is a developing story, and we will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available.

Every Wednesday at noon, in the British House of Commons, are held the Prime Minister’s Questions (PMQs), a 30-minute-long session in which the Premier answers the questions from the leader of the opposition, the leader of the third-largest party and a limited number of backbench MPs.

It has become a feature of his failed premiership that Labour leader Keir Starmer usually does not answer the questions, talking around it.

But during yesterday’s PMQs, Starmer reportedly threw a tantrum after Speaker Lindsay Hoyle repeatedly intervened and rebuked him for failing from answering questions.

When the session ended, a ‘purple-faced’ Starmer stopped by the Speaker’s chair and exchanged heated words with Hoyle even hitting his fist on the side of the Speaker’s ‘throne’, before storming out of the chamber.

Daily Mail reported:

“Keir Starmer is facing demands to apologize to the Commons Speaker over his extraordinary PMQs temper tantrum.

The premier confronted Lindsay Hoyle in the chamber after being reminded during yesterday’s session that he was the one facing questions – not the Leader of the Opposition.”

“Sir Keir strode up to Sir Lindsay following the clashes, with witnesses saying he was ‘fuming’ and even struck the side of the Speaker’s chair.

[…] Allies of the Speaker have pointed out that he regularly gets emails from members of the public complaining that the premier constantly dodges questions at PMQs.”

A Democrat congressman thought he had landed a viral punchline, instead, he walked straight into a digital buzzsaw.

Far-left Congressman Shri Thanedar is being mercilessly roasted online after attempting to mock White House official Stephen Miller and getting obliterated in the process.

The online clash erupted after Katie Miller, wife of Stephen Miller, posted a blunt observation on X that clearly struck a nerve with the Left:

“Liberal men aren’t attractive.”

Katie Miller pointed to data suggesting that 60% of extremely liberal men aged 35–45 are childless, compared to just 22% of extremely conservative men.

Rather than engage substantively, Rep. Thanedar chose the low road. He fired back, thinking it was a killer reply.

“Meanwhile, this is your husband.”

Big, big mistake. The internet, and especially the MAGA warriors on X, absolutely torched the Democrat congressman in the most brutal backfires in recent memory.

Katie Miller herself clapped back instantly, posting a screenshot of Thanedar’s own face with the savage reply: “Prove my point for me.”

Laura Loomer piled on without mercy: “You literally have a dead raccoon on your head…”

Tomi Lahren delivered another haymaker: “At least he knows which bathroom to use.”

The replies flooded in.

Drone factories in the crosshairs of Russia.

While the world is following with bated breath the developments for peace in the Middle East, the war between Russia and Ukraine continues unabated, and a new disturbing development raises fears of a widening conflict involving Western European countries.

Yesterday (15), Russia’s Ministry of Defense warned that the European ​plans to step up drone supplies to Ukraine will bring ‌those countries into an actual kinetic war with Russia.

A number of EU countries have decided to increase ​the production and supply of drones to Ukraine, the Russian MoD believes, a ​move that is escalating ⁠the conflict.

Reuters reported:

“[The Russian MoD] published a list of factories and enterprises in ​several European countries it alleges manufacture drones or drone components, ​and gave their addresses, including sites in Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy, Israel and Poland, among others.

‘The European public should not only have a clear ​understanding of the true causes of the threats to their ​security, but also be aware of the addresses and locations of Ukrainian and ‌joint ⁠enterprises producing UAVs and components for Ukraine within their own countries’, it said.”

“Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, now deputy chair of Russia’s Security Council, said in a subsequent post on X ​that the list ​published by ⁠the military amounted to a list of potential targets for Russia’s armed forces.”

This is a serious escalation, not a ‘warning’ or a ‘hint’, but rather an open announcement of ‘imminent strikes’.

A Difficult Lesson from the Burma War: Loving Your Enemy

On April 14, 2026, during the Thingyan Water Festival, the Burmese New Year, a Myanmar military jet carried out an airstrike that destroyed a building at Mutraw Junior College. The school has already moved twice because of ongoing attacks.

The strike occurred amid an intensified bombing campaign in and around civilian villages. Junta aircraft, including jets and Y-12 transport planes, began conducting nightly airstrikes, typically during evening hours, with reported bombing windows between 9:00 and 10:30 p.m. In addition to the school being hit, livestock were killed.

Members of a church group not affiliated with the armed forces were killed and injured in one of the airstrikes. A pastor lost his leg, and several church members were wounded, while at least one person remains missing. Similar incidents occur frequently, with attacks targeting civilian areas on a near-daily basis. It is believed that the junta uses its air power against civilian areas in an effort to pressure local populations. However, these tactics have not reduced resistance. Instead, they have reinforced opposition to military rule.

After the American Revolution and the Civil War, there were very limited trials, punishments, and executions of those who supported the losing side. No Confederate leader was executed after the Civil War, and no Loyalists were systematically prosecuted after the Revolution; many simply emigrated. Gandhi, who explicitly rejected armed resistance against the British, understood that violent revolutions almost universally produce cycles of retribution and reprisal that destroy the societies they were meant to liberate.

This is one of the many reasons why the American experiment has worked, while so few bloody revolutions in other countries have resulted in peaceful, orderly societies with the degree of prosperity and opportunity we enjoy in America.

To achieve this miracle of national reconciliation, there must be forgiveness. Christian soldiers in the Burma war regularly pray that God will change the hearts of the enemy. “They have the right to defend themselves and their families,” said David Eubank, the founder of Free Burma Rangers (FBR), a faith-based frontline aid organization. “But in order for victory not to lead to ongoing slaughter, there has to be forgiveness.”

Against this backdrop of a war against the civilian population, including attacks on churches and temples, hundreds of thousands of young people across the nation have joined the resistance to defend their homeland, their families, and their right to exist. Among them are volunteer medics who risk their lives to save others. FBR trains local combat medics and works alongside them in the war, where a motivating Bible verse is John 15:13 (KJV): “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Certainly, it is noble, and a fulfillment of Christ’s teachings, for medics to risk or sacrifice their lives to save the innocent, but the truest test of one’s commitment to faith is the willingness to love one’s enemy and to risk your life to save the very soldiers who burned your village or killed your family members.

In December of last year, just days before Christmas, during one of the worst battles of the year, in which 12 civilians had already been killed, Free Burma Rangers discovered a wounded Burma Army soldier among those captured by resistance forces.

Travis White, a volunteer medic with FBR, asked permission to treat the wounded soldier. David Eubank, FBR’s founder, always makes it clear to wounded Burmese soldiers that he and the Rangers have no control over their fate or how long it will be until they are released. The resistance armies have their own rules and policies, and the only thing FBR has control over is its own actions. In the case of wounded enemy soldiers, they see their mission as treating and helping all people made in the image of God.

The commander gave permission for the medics to work on the prisoner. Eubank told him, “I know the feeling is to let him die for all the things he’s done against your people. We’ve all lost friends here, and we’ve all seen children and families killed. But when I pray, I think that God wants us to show mercy. So we will take responsibility for him if you choose to let him live.”

The commander stated emphatically, “I choose to let him live.”

White, who spent more than a decade as a civilian firefighter-paramedic before joining FBR a year earlier, said, “I asked Dave, ‘How much should I do for this guy?’ And Dave said, ‘Do everything you can. Don’t worry about the outcome.’” According to information given by the patient, he had been wounded 24 to 30 hours earlier. He had an open femur fracture and had taken shrapnel through the shoulder, which was also broken. White said he had lost so much blood that “he wasn’t even bleeding anymore from his wounds.” A blood transfusion would be necessary to save the soldier’s life.

In Burma, even hospitals have little to no electricity and almost no refrigeration; on the battlefield, even less. This means that blood transfusions must come directly from another Ranger or soldier willing to donate their blood.

In a hierarchy of sacrifice, the easiest choice is risking your life to save the innocent. Risking your life to save the enemy is more difficult, but giving your blood to the enemy is a line that many people have trouble crossing. Understandably, especially after witnessing a massacre of the civilian population, a donor may need some convincing, or time to think and pray before agreeing to open their veins for the enemy.

In this instance, however, before White even asked, his translator, an ethnic Ranger named Yaza, said, “If he needs blood, I’ll give him mine.”

White pointed out that one of the issues with donating blood in a combat situation is that it weakens you physically. I have personally witnessed medics stumbling, lightheaded, because they had donated blood earlier in the day. It takes a special type of person to weaken themselves to that degree to save someone who, until hours earlier, was trying to kill you.

The wounded soldier was a Buddhist and had served in the junta’s army, but by treating him with kindness, the Rangers believe they are fulfilling Jesus’ commandment to “love one another, as I have loved you.” (John 13:34, KJV)

Over the next four days, the team returned repeatedly to provide wound care, pain relief, and antibiotics. Travis said they also continued sharing the gospel, explaining that Jesus’ sacrifice was like the blood given to save the soldier’s life. He said they emphasized forgiveness and the command to love one’s enemies.

On the final visit, the soldier expressed a desire to accept Jesus. The Rangers prayed that God would reveal Himself to the wounded man, who remained in critical condition.

In the end, White may never know what happened to the wounded soldier, but he, the Rangers, and the resistance soldiers who witnessed these acts of kindness will be able to say with full honesty that they did everything possible. When Christians take communion, they receive the body and blood of Christ, as taught in Matthew 26:26–28.

On Easter Sunday, the time when most Christians focus on the sacrifice and resurrection, I asked David Eubank to comment on the lessons learned from the incident back in December. He cited Matthew 28:18–20, saying these “are the words and commands that Jesus gave us, and that we try to live out in our work. This is what He said right after He rose from the dead and before He went up to heaven. His Spirit is still with us to help us in our need and to help others in their need. This is the spiritual mission of the Free Burma Rangers, to serve God and serve people, and to encourage them to follow Jesus and accept His gift of salvation on earth and in heaven.”

A shocking case out of Indiana is raising serious questions about public safety, accountability, and a broken criminal justice system after a convicted child killer was quietly released from prison decades early, without even notifying local law enforcement.

Autumn Cordellioné, formerly known as Jonathan Richardson, a man who now “identifies” as a woman after a convenient late-in-life gender dysphoria diagnosis, was paroled in December 2025 after serving less than half of his 55-year sentence for the brutal 2001 murder of baby Faith Lee.

As Gateway Pundit has previously reported, this same sicko has spent years suing the state of Indiana, demanding taxpayer-funded “gender-affirming” surgery while behind bars.

Judge Richard Young, a Clinton-appointed federal judge, even sided with the baby-killing monster, ordering the Indiana Department of Correction to provide the procedure at the “earliest opportunity.”

On September 12, 2001, then-19-year-old Jonathan Richardson was left alone with his girlfriend’s 11-month-old daughter, Faith Lee, at their Evansville, Indiana home.

He strangled the helpless infant to death. He was convicted of reckless homicide in 2002 and sentenced to 55 years in prison. For decades, the public could rest a little easier knowing this monster was locked away. Not anymore.

According to the Evansville Courier & Press, Cordellioné was paroled and returned straight to Evansville last December, without a single notification to Vanderburgh County Prosecutor Diana Moers or local law enforcement.

The only reason authorities found out? A sharp-eyed citizen who recognized the killer from the original 2002 trial spotted him back in the community and sounded the alarm.

According to the news outlet:

An unnamed person who recognized Cordellioné from her 2002 trial — she was known then as Jonathan Richardson — spotted her in the city and alerted authorities, according to Vanderburgh County Prosecutor Diana Moers.

Moers said her office received no advance notice from the Indiana Department of Correction that Cordellioné, sentenced in 2002 to 55 years for the murder of her 11-month-old stepdaughter, had been paroled after serving less than half of her allotted prison term.

“The Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office was not notified that this defendant was back in the community — they were spotted by a citizen who recognized them from the original court case,” Moers’ office stated in a news release.

The disclosure landed less than three weeks after Gov. Mike Braun signed into law legislation designed to prevent communication breakdowns between the state and local authorities when prisoners convicted of violent crimes return home. House Bill 1250, which Braun signed March 3, requires IDOC to notify local prosecutors, sheriffs and police chiefs at least seven days before releasing a serious violent felon from prison.

But the reforms were not yet active at the time of Cordellioné’s release, since HB 1250 will take effect July 1.

According to Reduxx, the circumstances surrounding Richardson’s early release remain unclear due to the lack of an official statement from the Department of Corrections.

The news outlet also reported that the murderer has allegedly launched an OnlyFans account since being released.

This case is a perfect example of how soft-on-crime policies have completely corrupted our justice system.
