Secretary of State Marco Rubio has been criticized for canceling the residency permits of IRGC family members and deporting them due to their support for the regime.

Democrats are attacking Secretary of State Marco Rubio for canceling the legal status of Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani’s family members. Critics claim he abused his authority. However, they were outspoken supporters of the Iranian regime. Rubio has pointed out many times during his career that, under the law, supporters of terrorist organizations should not have visas.

Soleimani’s niece and grand-niece were arrested by federal agents following Rubio’s termination of their lawful permanent resident status. Hamideh Soleimani Afshar entered the U.S. on a tourist visa in 2015, received asylum in 2019, and became a lawful permanent resident in 2021. Her daughter entered on a student visa in July 2015, received asylum in 2019, and became a green card holder in 2023. In a 2025 naturalization application, Afshar disclosed multiple return trips to Iran after receiving her green card, which DHS cited as evidence that her asylum claim was fraudulent.

The State Department accused her of promoting Iranian regime propaganda, celebrating attacks against American soldiers and military facilities in the Middle East, praising the new Iranian Supreme Leader, denouncing America as the “Great Satan,” and voicing support for the IRGC, a designated terrorist organization. The State Department identified her conduct through both press reporting and her own social media commentary on her Instagram account, which she deleted after her arrest.

Both women are being held at a South Texas ICE detention facility awaiting a deportation hearing.

Rubio also revoked the visas of Fatemeh Ardeshir-Larijani, an academic and daughter of Iran’s former national security adviser Ali Larijani, who was killed in a U.S.-Israel airstrike, and her husband Seyed Kalantar Motamedi. Both are no longer in the United States and are barred from future entry.

Ardeshir-Larijani had worked in oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. After Iran initiated a crackdown against anti-government protesters in December and January, demonstrators gathered at the university’s cancer institute to demand her removal. As of January, she was no longer employed by Emory.

A Change.org petition calling for her deportation gathered 157,017 signatures. In early December, the State Department revoked or declined to renew visas of several Iranian diplomats, including the deputy ambassador and staffers at Iran’s UN mission, confirming the action was taken on December 4 but declining to comment further.

Republican Congressman Earl “Buddy” Carter called for Ardeshir-Larijani’s State medical license to be revoked, writing that America’s medical institutions must not serve as a refuge for individuals connected by blood and loyalty to regimes that openly call for the death of Americans. Trump ally Laura Loomer wrote on social media that she had reported Soleimani’s niece to the State Department.

The legal basis for the revocations draws on three overlapping provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

INA § 237(a)(4)(C)(i) authorizes the deportation of a lawful permanent resident if the Secretary of State determines that the individual’s presence would have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences. Rarely invoked before September 11, 2001, the provision was strengthened by the USA PATRIOT Act. A 1999 Board of Immigration Appeals precedent, Matter of Ruiz-Massieu, established that the Secretary’s formal determination alone satisfies the clear and convincing evidence standard required to prove deportability.

INA § 212(a)(3)(C), the foreign policy ground of inadmissibility, applies when the government believes a person’s presence could have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences. Its use to revoke green cards has been described as exceedingly rare.

Presidential Proclamation 10998, issued under INA § 212(f) and effective January 1, 2026, fully suspended entry and visa issuance for Iranian nationals. Iran is also among 23 countries subject to a separate pause on immigrant visa issuance effective January 21, 2026.

USCIS Policy Memoranda PM-602-0192 and PM-602-0194 placed an indefinite hold on pending immigration benefits for citizens of fully banned countries. This effectively closed off the adjustment-of-status pathway for Iranians already inside the United States.

The INA contains a First Amendment safeguard providing that no noncitizen may be removed solely because of beliefs, speech, or associations that would be lawful in the United States. To override this protection, the Secretary of State must personally certify that the individual’s presence would compromise a compelling U.S. foreign policy interest, a higher standard than the general “seriously adverse” threshold.

In the Soleimani family case, Rubio grounded the action not only in speech but in Afshar’s fraudulent asylum claim, established by her documented return trips to Iran, and in her support for the IRGC, a designated foreign terrorist organization.

The State Department did not specify the precise legal process used to terminate the LPR status. It did not confirm whether an administrative hearing preceded the revocation or clarify whether the women could contest the action in immigration court. Under INA § 212(a)(3)(C)(iv), the Secretary of State is required to report all foreign-policy-based visa denials to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees, the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee within 30 days. Whether Rubio has fulfilled that requirement in these cases has not been publicly confirmed.

Human rights organizations argued that the approach risks targeting individuals with no direct connection to the Iranian government and raises due process concerns. The Iranian government described the revocations as vindictive and as collective punishment. The State Department stated on April 4, 2026, that the Trump administration “will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.”

HUGE! Democrats Schiff, Pelosi Turn on Swalwell, Withdraw Endorsements, Call on Him to Drop Out of California Governor’s Race Amid Sexual Assault Allegations

Man with a beard wearing a black shirt speaking in a well-lit room with a bowl of oranges in the background.

Creepy Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell is going down in flames.

Swalwell is currently running as a Democrat in California’s gubernatorial race.

As TGP reported earlier on Friday, The San Francisco Chronicle published a story about a woman who claimed that Democrat Eric Swalwell sexually assaulted her twice.

The woman, who worked as a staffer in Swalwell’s office for two years, told The San Francisco Chronicle that Swalwell began pursuing her just weeks after she was hired at the age of 21 in 2019.

“A woman who worked for nearly two years for Rep. Eric Swalwell, a leading candidate for California governor, said she had sexual encounters with him while he was her boss and alleged he twice sexually assaulted her when she was too intoxicated to consent,” the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Swalwell denied the allegations.

“These allegations are false and come on the eve of an election against the frontrunner for governor,” he said.

“For nearly 20 years, I have served the public — as a prosecutor and a congressman and have always protected women,” Swalwell said.

”I will defend myself with the facts and where necessary bring legal action,” he added.

Swalwell’s lawyers also intimidated the alleged sexual assault victim and sent her a cease-and-desist letter, accusing her of making false statements.

Democrat Senator Adam Schiff (CA) turned on Swalwell on Friday.

Schiff withdrew his endorsement of Swalwell and called on him to drop out of California’s gubernatorial race.

“I have read the San Francisco Chronicle’s account and I am deeply distressed by its allegations. This woman was brave to come forward, and we should take her story seriously,” Schiff said.

“I am withdrawing my endorsement immediately, and believe that he should withdraw from the race,” Schiff added.

Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi also turned on Swalwell.

Swalwell’s campaign staffers resigned and he lost other endorsements after the San Francisco Chronicle published the story about the sexual assault allegations.

Swalwell’s problems with women are coming back to haunt him.

It was previously alleged that Swalwell became compromised after he fell for Chinese spy and honeypot Fang Fang.

Recall that last year, conservative reporter Nick Sortor confronted Eric Swalwell about his sexual degeneracy and corruption.

Final Order of Removal: Board of Immigration Appeals Denies Far-Left Activist Mahmoud Khalil’s Efforts to Dismiss Deportation

Pro-Hamas student activist Mahmoud Khalil was previously leading anti-Israel protests at Columbia University.

In January, The Gateway Pundit reported that the Department of Homeland Security affirmed that far-left Mahmoud Khalil, the radical Islamist who has been stirring up anti-American chaos on U.S. college campuses, will be deported to Algeria.

Although Khalil has fought the move in court for months, arguing that deportation would somehow violate constitutional protections for permanent residents, an immigration appeals board has now denied his latest bid to dismiss his deportation case.

In June 2025, following his March 2025 arrest, a federal judge in New Jersey ruled his detention unconstitutional and ordered his release on bail.

A federal appeals court (3rd Circuit) reversed the New Jersey judge’s release order on jurisdictional grounds, moving the case primarily into the immigration court system.

In September 2025, an immigration judge in Louisiana finally ordered his deportation.

The order, issued by Judge Jamee Comans, demanded that Khalil, a legal permanent resident with deep ties to Palestinian extremism, be shipped back to either Syria or Algeria for lying on his green card application by hiding his shady past employment and affiliations with questionable organizations.

On Thursday, the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) issued a final order of removal after denying his appeal.

NBC News reports:

An immigration appeals board has denied Mahmoud Khalil’s latest bid to dismiss his deportation case, a largely expected ruling that brings the former Columbia University graduate student and Palestinian activist one step closer to re-arrest and possible expulsion.

The Board of Immigration Appeals issued the final order of removal on Thursday, according to Khalil’s lawyers. The board’s rulings are not public, and an inquiry to the U.S. Department of Justice was not immediately returned.

*******

The Board of Immigration Appeals sets precedent in the byzantine immigration court system, which is controlled by the Department of Justice — and increasingly under the influence of the Trump administration.

Just days after the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks against civilians in Israel, Khalil whipped up Columbia University students and chanted the genocidal slogan “From the River to the Sea.”

In an interview with The New York Times, Khalil referred to Hamas as “we” and displayed, as author Seth Mandel described, a “dehumanizing world view.”

Right now the same banks that spent billions lobbying are charging you up to 25% to carry a balance you already earned. They’re not worried you’ll find out. Most people never do.

Here’s the number they don’t want you doing the math on: at 25% APR, a $6,000 balance costs you $1,500 a year in pure interest. Every year. Money that vanishes completely – no equity, no asset, nothing to show for it. Just gone, straight into a vault thicker than their lobbying bill.

Right now a handful of cards are handing out 0% APR for up to 21 months on both new purchases and balance transfers. No tricks. No fine print only a Harvard lawyer can decode. Just 21 months where every dollar you pay goes toward the balance – not into the bank’s pocket.

Move $6,000 over in the first 60 days. Pay $285 a month. Balance hits zero before the intro period ends. That’s $1,500 you kept. The bank gets nothing.

These aren’t fly-by-night outfits – they’re the big institutions your grandmother trusted, now being forced by competition to hand out the best deal in consumer finance. No annual fee. Some waive late fees entirely. Up to 5% cash back on top of the 0% period.

The application takes five minutes. Most people get an answer before their coffee gets cold.

A tip: don’t apply for one. Apply for your top three at the same time and use whichever gets approved first.

Newly-Released Search Warrants Reveal Kirk Assassin Tyler Robinson’s Damning Handwritten Note to Trans Lover Lance Twiggs

Newly-released search warrants reveal Charlie Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson’s damning handwritten note to his transgender lover, Lance Twiggs.

Robinson fatally shot TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025 during an event at Utah Valley University.

Robinson was charged with:

– Count 1: Aggravated murder (capital offense)
– Count 2: Felony reckless discharge of a firearm causing bodily injury
– Count 3: Felony obstruction of justice for hiding the firearm
– Count 4: Felony obstruction of justice for discarding the clothing he wore during the shooting
– Count 5: Witness tampering for asking roommate to delete incriminating messages
– Count 6: Witness tampering for demanding trans roommate stay silent, and not speak to police
– Count 7: Commission of a violent offense in the presence of a child

Utah prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

On Friday, a newly-unsealed affidavit revealed that Tyler Robinson wrote a handwritten letter to his live-in lover Lance Twiggs, AKA, “Luna” in which he admits to a plot to kill Charlie Kirk.

“I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I took it,” Robinson wrote.

Investigators also recovered DNA, a palm print on the roof of the Losee Center building.

Fox News reported:

Newly released search warrants in the case against Tyler Robinson, the Utah man accused of assassinating conservative icon Charlie Kirk last September, reveal investigators have reportedly collected DNA and cellphone data placing him at the scene of the alleged shooting.

Investigators obtained DNA from “fingerprints and a smeared palm print in the vicinity of the northeast corner rooftop edge of the Losee Center building where Robinson dropped off the rooftop to the ground below,” along with cellphone data showing Robinson’s location on Sept. 10, 2025, according to East Idaho News.

Additionally, a Google Maps route found on Robinson’s phone allegedly routed to an area near the Utah Valley University campus, the outlet reported.

The warrants also included a note Robinson allegedly left for his roommate, whom he was romantically involved with, shortly before the alleged assassination.

“Luna, if you are reading this per my text, then I am so sorry,” the note reportedly said. “I left the house this morning on a mission, and set an auto text.

“I am likely dead, or facing a lengthy prison sentence. I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I took it.”

“I don’t know if i will/have succeeded, but I had hoped to make it home to you. I wish we could have lived in a world where this did not feel necessary. I wish I could have stayed for you and lived our lives together.”

“I lack the words to express how much I love you, and how very much you mean to me. Please try and find joy in this life. I love you, always, -Tyler,” the letter continued, according to the outlet.

In February, Judge Tony Graf denied Robinson’s motion to disqualify the Utah County prosecutors office.

“Because the defendant has not established a factual basis for a finding of a conflict of interest or an objective appearance of impropriety rising to a constitutional concern, his motion is respectfully denied,” Judge Graf said.

WATCH: Radical Democrats in New York Battleground Congressional District Call to Abolish ICE or ‘Go Back to the Drawing Board’ During Debate, One Candidate Declares ‘Everyone Will be Held Accountable’

Panel discussion featuring four speakers at a conference, with a focus on community engagement and collaboration, set against a decorative backdrop.

Democrats hoping for the chance to unseat Republican Rep. Mike Lawler in New York’s battleground 17th Congressional District made their radical positions on immigration enforcement crystal clear at a candidate forum this week.

In video footage from the Westchester County Democratic Committee’s pre-primary debate on Thursday, at Manhattanville College, a moderator asked the candidates, “Abolish, reform, or keep ICE?”

The responses from three leading contenders left little doubt about their desire to see the agency keeping Americans safe destroyed.

Beth Davidson, the Rockland County legislator who leads early polling in the Democratic primary, responded first.

“Go back to the drawing board,” Davidson said. “We need a system that is humane and streamlined that keeps people safe and allows everyone who plays by the rules a full path to citizenship.”

Effie Phillips-Staley, a progressive Tarrytown Village Trustee and self-described “unapologetic progressive,” was blunter.

“Abolish ICE!” she declared.

Phillips-Staley has made abolishing the agency a centerpiece of her campaign.

On her official website, Phillips-Staley lists “abolishing ICE” among her priorities and published a press release in January titled “A New Vision for a Civil Immigration System,” calling for demilitarizing immigration enforcement and treating it as a civil administrative matter rather than a “paramilitary” operation.

Cait Conley, an Army combat veteran and former election security official from Ossining, framed ICE agents as the problem.

“Everyone will be held accountable,” she said, describing federal agents on American streets who “assault, harass, and kill people sworn to serve.”

Conley’s campaign site states she will fight to “rein in ICE” as part of opposing what she calls the Trump administration’s “unlawful and authoritarian agenda.”

WATCH:

New York’s 17th District, which includes parts of Rockland, Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess counties, is a battleground seat.

The Democrat primary is scheduled for June 23.

Davidson currently leads the crowded field in fundraising and name recognition, according to recent polls reported by Politico and Patch.

The district has been a top target for national Democrats hoping to flip the House in the midterms.

Lawler has consistently supported strong border security and interior enforcement measures.

President Trump Offers Marxist NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani These Three Common-Sense Tips to Turn Around New York City

Trump and Zohran Mamdani meet in the Oval Office – November 21, 2025

Despite fleeing for sunny Florida after years of bullying by radical leftist New York State political figures, President Trump still retains a desire to see The Big Apple reclaim its status as the greatest city in the world. And he’s got some advice to offer the new mayor.

As TGP readers know, the far-left Zohran Mamdani won the NYC mayoral election last November and has immediately begun his reign of ruin.

For example, crime has dominated the headlines in the Big Apple, especially from illegal aliens. Of course, Mamdani is not only unfazed by this but continues to call for the abolition of ICE.

Mamdani is also pushing to defund the police, raise taxes, and implement massive social welfare programs.

He is even carrying through on a racist campaign promise to target white neighborhoods with a racial ‘equity’ tax.

All of this has been ‘accomplished’ as Mamdani enters his 100th day in office.

Trump, who has somehow maintained a friendly working relationship with Mamdani, told the New York Post on Friday that Mamdani needs to stop this insanity and do three things to turn around New York City.

The first step is slashing taxes on residents, not raising them.

“Gotta lower taxes or everyone’s leaving. It’s very simple,” Trump told the Post.

Trump also made note of how filthy the Big Apple is, particularly focusing on Manhattan, the wealthiest borough.

“Got to clean up the city. The city is looking not good. You got to clean up Manhattan, clean it up, make it sparkle,” Trump explained.

Trump closed by telling Mamdani that to fix the crime problem, he needed to call in the U.S. government.

Many other mayors have accepted Trump’s help on this issue and have seen dramatic reductions in major criminal activity.

“And you got to stop crime by calling in the United States government to let us help,” Trump said. “Those three things.”

While Mamdani would be wise to take Trump’s advice, does anyone really believe he’ll listen?

Smiling man with glasses and a mustache, wearing a suit, in front of an American flag backdrop.

Elio Engel, the former Democrat Congressman who spearheaded the first Trump impeachment has passed away.

He was 79 years old.

Engel served in Congress from 1989 to 2021.

He was the chair the Foreign Affairs Committee during Trump’s first impeachment and led the investigation into whether Trump withheld aid from Ukraine.

Engel harassed and subpoenaed then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo during the Ukraine impeachment coup.

The former lawmakers also delivered numerous speeches on the House floor trashing President Trump and defending the impeachment.

In February 2020, the senate acquitted President Trump on both articles of impeachment.

Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins released a statement on Engel’s passing:

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Congressman Eliot Engel, a tireless public servant who devoted more than three decades to representing the people of New York.

“Throughout his career, Congressman Engel was a fierce advocate for his constituents in Westchester and the Bronx.

He was a champion of human rights and as Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, he helped shape U.S. policy on the global stage while never losing sight of the needs of the communities he represented at home.

“His legacy is one of commitment, conviction and service. He understood that public office is a responsibility to speak up, to stand firm and to deliver for the people who entrusted him with their voice.

“We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends and all those who had the privilege of working alongside him. His impact will be felt for generations.”

Bosnian War Criminal Who Tortured Serb Prisoners and Lied About it to Obtain U.S. Citizenship Sentenced to 30 Months in Federal Prison

A 53-year-old woman from Bosnia and Herzegovina who participated in the torture and abuse of Bosnian Serb civilian prisoners during the 1990s war has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison after lying on her U.S. citizenship application to conceal her past atrocities.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Nada Radovan Tomanić was arrested in West Virginia in 2023.

Tomanić was finally sentenced on April 8 in Connecticut.

She had pleaded guilty in November to one count of procuring U.S. citizenship contrary to law.

According to the Department of Justice, Tomanić served with the Zulfikar Special Unit of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the early 1990s, including operations on Mt. Igman near Sarajevo.

Along with other unit members, she took part in the severe physical and psychological abuse of Bosnian Serb civilian prisoners held in detention facilities. The abuse included beatings and acts that amounted to torture and inhuman treatment, targeting victims based on their ethnicity and religion.

Tomanić entered the United States as a “refugee” in 1997.

In 2012, while living in Connecticut, she applied for naturalization.

Woman Charged With Fraudulently Obtaining U.S. Citizenship by Failing to Disclose Alleged Role in Abuse of Bosnian Serb Prisoners

On her application and during a sworn-in-person interview, she falsely denied ever serving in a detention facility, detaining others, or committing any crime involving the infliction of serious bodily harm.

Those lies allowed her to unlawfully obtain U.S. citizenship.

Tomanić worked for approximately 10 years at a grocery warehouse distributor in Connecticut before moving to West Virginia.

Federal investigators, including the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security’s Human Rights Violators and War Crimes Center, uncovered her wartime conduct through cooperation with authorities in Bosnia, Serbia, and the United Nations.

Assistant Attorney General A. Tysen Duva of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division stated, “The defendant tortured and abused prisoners in Bosnia and then lied to U.S. immigration authorities to live in the U.S. and become a citizen. Human rights violators are not welcome in the United States.”

U.S. Attorney David X. Sullivan for the District of Connecticut added, “There is no statute of limitations for human decency.”

The case was prosecuted by the Justice Department’s Human Rights and Special Prosecutions Section (HRSP), which targets individuals who commit human rights violations abroad and then seek safe haven in the United States through immigration fraud.

Tomanić was taken into custody immediately following her sentencing.

As part of the outcome, her U.S. citizenship has been revoked, and she faces deportation after serving her prison term.
