Zelensky’s mandate ended way back in May 2024.
The people in the MSM, in politics and in society that are cheerleaders for Kiev regime head Volodymyr Zelensky usually treat him as a ‘defender of democracy’.
But in fact, the former comedian has become a wartime chieftain ruling by force of martial law.
And now, the first big leadership in Ukraine has raised his voice to demand that Presidential elections be held – even during wartime.
Breaking: Fedorov calls for wartime elections, says Putin shouldn’t decide when Ukrainians vote.

And it’s not some random voice – it’s former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, a man associated by young Ukrainians with technological progress and the fight against the endemic corruption.
There are ongoing protests in Ukraine for the second month demanding that Zelensky rehire Fedorov.
The protests forced the leader’s hand to fire top General Oleksandr Syrsky – but he refuses to re-appoint the 35-year-old leader to his former position.
In the Ukrainian press, this is attributed to the fact that Fedorov was ‘meddling in the army’s procurement contracts’ (i.e. he was trying to root out corruption).
So, now, he is openly defying Zelensky and calling for elections – and it’s important to note that he is presently polling well ahead of the ‘president’, second only to former top General and current ambassador to the UK, Valery Zaluzhny.

Reuters reported:
“Ukraine’s ousted Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov called for wartime elections in a bombshell address on Tuesday, arguing the nation faced a crisis of governance, in the biggest internal challenge to President Volodymyr Zelenskiy since Russia’s invasion.
Fedorov’s call, delivered in a video address posted on YouTube, is the first such demand by a major Ukrainian political figure.
‘Democracy cannot be held hostage by Russia’, Fedorov said. ‘We must find a legal, safe and realistic mechanism that will allow Ukraine to renew its full democratic process even in the conditions of a long war’.”

The Telegraph reported:
“The former minister, who was once a staunch ally of Volodymyr Zelensky, said corruption in Kyiv had been harming its war effort, and claimed his country had been seeing a ‘systemic crisis of governance’.
He said: ‘The old system lives by its own rules too often. It protects itself. It is scared of change’.
[…] Mr. Fedorov’s address came hours after Mr Zelensky announced that he would formally nominate Maj Gen Yevhen Khmara, a former security service (SBU) official, to take over the defense ministry.”
