Leaked audio from a meeting of the Provo, Utah, anti-ICE group People of Provo Against ICE (POPAI) captures leadership members discussing the need to kill conservative politicians along with their children as a way to defeat capitalism, while suggesting re-education for MAGA supporters.
The recording, obtained by The Cougar Chronicle, features Venna Anne and Ashton Hirschi, both identified as POPAI leaders, speaking during a meeting earlier this month.
During a conversation about capitalism, someone told Anne that “You just can’t get away from capitalism.”
Anne replied, “No, unless we kill everybody.”
Hirschi responded that they only needed to kill “some” people and initially settled on “500.”
Anne then said, “You also have to kill their children and their [line of succession].”
Hirschi agreed, stating, “We need to get the politicians.”
When asked whether ICE agents could integrate back into society, Hirschi said, “If you’re talking about politicians or billionaires? No. Those f**kers gotta go. Period and point blank.”
On the topic of “counter-revolutionaries or MAGA people,” he added that “There’s a possibility for reintegration [into society]. It would have to come through reeducation.”

The Cougar Chronicle reported in August that members on POPAI’s Discord praised stickers reading “Shoot Trump, Be A Hero” and “Shoot Trump, Be A Hero, Become Unforgettable.”
Venna Anne called the stickers “sick af” and told members to put them up around Provo.
Hirschi and others described them as “beautiful” and encouraged the maker to “double down.”

Hector Mujica, a POPAI member and Venezuelan national who created and distributed the stickers, was arrested by ICE in downtown Provo on October 16 and placed in custody.
The group has also been linked to efforts to disrupt a Turning Point USA memorial event for Charlie Kirk.
Democratic candidate David Chappell, running for Utah House District 62, is a POPAI member who posted in the group’s Discord.
Chappell later said he was no longer active and had not been involved for “several months,” but screenshots showed him posting as recently as September 22 that he planned to return to meetings after Election Day.
The candidate has not fully disavowed the group or Mujica.
POPAI has organized anti-ICE protests in Provo, including one on July 15, where members held signs reading “ICE DESTROYS FAMILIES,” “REPEAL 287(g)!” and “HONK IF YOU HATE ICE.”
The group maintains an Instagram presence and has collaborated with other left-wing organizations.
