Liberal Media Outlets Bend Over Backwards to Avoid Calling James O’Keefe and Cam Higby ‘Journalists’

Undercover journalist James O'Keefe, left, went viral for exposing Minnesota's system that allows a voter to "vouch" for up to eight unregistered people to allow them to cast ballots - even if they're unrecognizable in austere Muslim face coverings, as his companion, Cam Higby, was. Now, the state has charged the journalists with felonies for their report.

Earlier this year, James O’Keefe and Cam Higby broke a huge story about Minnesota’s ‘voter vouching’ program, which exposed how easy it would be to scam the system in the blue state.

For doing this, a left wing prosecutor wants to charge them.

The Gateway Pundit reported on it this week:

Soros-backed Hennepin County prosecutor Mary Moriarty on Wednesday announced her office charged James O’Keefe and Cam Higby with felonies for exposing Minnesota’s insane ‘voter vouching’ system.

In August James O’Keefe dressed up in a ‘thobe’ and Cam Higby wore a black burka as they entered polling stations across Minneapolis.

“Under Minnesota’s Statutes § 201.061, a registered voter can sign an affidavit affirming that they know another individual resides in the same precinct, allowing that person to register at the polls without presenting standard proof of residence. One registered voter can vouch for up to eight people,” O’Keefe said.

“We wanted to find out what this actually looks like inside a polling place and how far election workers would let us take it,” he said.

James O’Keefe used a hilariously awful Middle Eastern accent when he tried to vouch for other voters.

“I have a question about the vouching program, yeah? Vouching? I can vouch for them but they are not registered,” O’Keefe asked the poll workers.

“Yeah, that’s fine,” the poll workers said.

Now that a prosecutor is going after them for this, the liberal media is suddenly interested in the story, but they don’t want to call O’Keefe and Higby journalists, so they’re twisting themselves into knots trying to come up with other terms to use.

NBC News called them ‘conservative influencers.’

ABC News called them ‘right-wing provocateurs.’

O’Keefe and Higby are doing the things that journalists used to do before they all became Democrat Party activists.
