The radical, crime-loving leftists on the D.C. City Council just tried to pull a fast one, but the Department of Justice wasn’t having any of it.

In an OUTRAGEOUS and frankly SICK move, the D.C. City Council sent letters to 10 state governors demanding they pull their brave National Guard members out of our nation’s capital. After President Trump stepped in to save their failing, crime-ridden city, these local Democrats now want to kick out the very heroes keeping their streets safe!

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, the streets of Washington D.C. had devolved into an absolute third-world war zone under local Democrat leadership before President Trump declared a national crime emergency in August 2025 and brought back LAW AND ORDER!

In a scorching letter, Assistant Attorney General Colin M. McDonald of the Office of the Deputy Attorney General unloaded on the Council, accusing them of feigning “ignorance of the historic public safety strides made in our Nation’s capital” while showing “callousness—instead of compassion and care—toward your constituents, who now live in a city with far less violence and fear thanks to the National Guard and the D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force.”

“Let me be clear, your council has no power to demand that governors remove their brave men and women from serving in uniform in our Nation’s capital. Your politically-motivated letter is impotent theatrics not worth the paper it’s written on, and D.C. is a much safer place no matter what you say. Because you refuse to speak the truth about the life-preserving work of the Task Force, the truth will speak for itself,” McDonald wrote in the letter.

McDonald didn’t stop there. He threw their own hypocrisy right in their faces, reminding them that just a couple of years ago, D.C. Councilmember Trayon White was literally begging for the National Guard to step in because the city was a “war zone.”

President Trump ordered the mobilization of the D.C. National Guard on August 11, 2025, directing the Defense Department to coordinate with governors on additional personnel considered necessary to restore law and order. The presidential memorandum stated that the deployment would continue until the president determined that order had been restored.

The Justice Department says the resulting federal operation has produced more than 16,000 arrests and removed nearly 2,000 firearms from the streets. Its D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force page also credits the federal partnership with disrupting gangs and drug-trafficking organizations.

McDonald said Guard personnel have increased law-enforcement visibility, protected critical infrastructure, assisted stranded motorists, intervened during assaults and provided emergency medical assistance—including administering life-saving NARCAN.

“These men and women represent the best our country has to offer,” he wrote, calling them “true American heroes.”

“You should withdraw your letter and dedicate your remaining time in public service to correcting D.C.’s laws to ensure criminals are punished and the public is protected—not the other way around.”

Who wants to be filmed all the time?

The struggle between new, useful tech gadgets and the objections that these new capabilities raise is a field expected to grow in the next few years, and make many lawyers very wealthy.

One such example is the Meta AI-Glasses.

In principle, it seems a great idea to pack so much computing power in a pair of glasses for our benefit.

But once you start to compute the legal and ethical objections that this gadget raises, it becomes a much less clear question.

Today (12), a German advocacy group took matters into their own hands, and filed a criminal complaint against Meta and other companies, ‘arguing the devices violate privacy laws’.

Reuters reported:

“Digital rights group HateAid said in a statement on Wednesday that the launch of the devices, the Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer in particular, broke German digital privacy laws, in the latest sign of legal scrutiny in a nation where the right to privacy is highly valued.

‘There’s no place to escape from smart glasses. You have to expect at any moment to be filmed and then exposed on the internet’, said HateAid managing director Josephine Ballon.

The organization reported the management of Meta, units of spectacles maker EssilorLuxottica including Ray-Ban, as well as retailers Fielmann, Apollo-Optik, Mister Spex and MediaMarkt to the Frankfurt-based digital crime prosecution unit ZIT.”

The complaint is based on Germany’s federal digital data protection law, which prohibits the sale of communication devices designed to film people without them noticing.

Politico reported:

“Privacy concerns over the device have snowballed in recent months amid reports of people being filmed without their consent, or recording intimate footage without knowing it could be reviewed by Meta contractors.

The non-profit HateAid is arguing that the sale of Meta smart glasses in Germany is a criminal offense because the devices allow wearers to covertly film other people.

[…] HateAid said that smart glasses should only be sold if they are clearly identifiable, and that there should be limits on recording in certain spaces as there is for dashcams or bodycams.”

They can’t win without CHEATING! The modern Democrat Party is completely LAWLESS.

Former Lumberton Township Mayor and current Committeewoman Gina LaPlaca, along with her husband, Democratic operative Jason Carty, are facing a new round of criminal charges after prosecutors say they submitted fraudulent signatures to place LaPlaca on the June Democratic primary ballot for the Lumberton Township Committee.

Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw’s office announced the charges this week. An investigation found that multiple people whose names and purported signatures appeared on LaPlaca’s nominating petition never signed it and never authorized anyone to sign on their behalf. Without those fake signatures, LaPlaca would not have had enough valid signatures to qualify for the ballot at all.

LaPlaca, 47, signed a sworn affidavit claiming she had “personally circulated the petition” and that every signature was in the voter’s own handwriting. Investigators determined her husband Carty, 49, also collected signatures. The petition was submitted to the Lumberton Township Municipal Clerk by Carty.

The charges:

• LaPlaca faces fourth-degree making a false statement under oath, third-degree knowingly filing a false petition, two counts of third-degree tampering with public records or information, and fourth-degree falsifying or tampering with records.
• Carty faces third-degree knowingly filing a false petition, two counts of third-degree tampering with public records or information, and fourth-degree falsifying or tampering with records.

Both are scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Mount Holly on September 21.

Official Burlington County results show LaPlaca finishing dead last in the three-candidate race for two committee seats. She received just 323 votes, or 13.03 percent.

This is not LaPlaca’s first brush with the law.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, LaPlaca pleaded guilty earlier this year to DUI and fourth-degree child abuse after driving intoxicated with her two-year-old child in the vehicle.

Authorities said her blood-alcohol concentration was 0.30 percent, nearly four times New Jersey’s legal limit, after she picked up the child from daycare on St. Patrick’s Day 2025.

Despite the disturbing circumstances, LaPlaca avoided incarceration and was admitted into New Jersey’s Pretrial Intervention program. She received three years of supervision, mandatory Alcoholics Anonymous attendance, an ignition-interlock requirement, and additional court-ordered conditions.

Just days before the June primary, police responded to a domestic incident at the couple’s home. Carty was charged with aggravated assault by strangulation. LaPlaca initially claimed he “literally tried to kill me,” then later recanted in a sworn statement, admitting she had been “under the influence” and made false allegations.

Despite the scandals, LaPlaca still made it onto the Democratic primary ballot, thanks, prosecutors say, to the fraudulent petition. Lumberton Democrats rejected her anyway.

Election meddling does not happen. At least, that’s what top Democratic Party officials believe, but it’s possible they just have a short memory or were not paying attention.

Former Chief Strategist and Senior Advisor to the Obama Administration David Axelrod either forgot, did not remember, or played dumb on CNN Tuesday evening when faced with the reality of such a case in Indiana.

Axelrod found himself hearing it from former White House spokesman and political commentator Pete Seat on “Anderson Cooper 360” and looked completely dumbfounded when Seat reminded him that Democrat officials in Indiana — Seat’s home state — were convicted of petition fraud relating to the 2008 primary.

“The gentleman you previously worked for, David Axelrod, Barack Obama got on the ballot because Democrats in that county submitted fraudulent ballot petition signatures.”

“People, including the Democrat county chair, went to jail over that.”

“Barack Obama should not have been on the primary ballot in the state of Indiana,” Seat determined.

After former Illinois Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger tried throwing cold water on this truth missile, Axelrod, clearly struck by the news, asked, “How did that get determined?”

“It was finally exposed two years later.”

“It went through the courts, and several people found themselves in jail.”

In a 2012 report, Fox News noted the convicted were then-chairman of the St. Joseph County Democratic Party, Butch Morgan, St. Joseph County Board of Voter Registration’s Democratic board member, Pam Brunette, a Board of Voter Registration worker, Beverly Shelton, and a volunteer and former board worker, Dustin Blythe.

Investigators concluded the group worked to forge 22 petitions to ensure Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and former North Carolina Democratic Sen. John Edwards were on the ballot.

Indiana state law required 500 signatures from each of the nine congressional districts for a candidate to be on the ballot. St. Joseph County falls in the 2nd Congressional District, where Obama qualified with 534 and Clinton 704.

The group signed petitions to make sure Obama was on the ballot, given falling below 500 would see him not appear on it. They even signed for former Democratic Gov. Joe Kernan.

WBND reported Morgan received a year in prison and a year of community corrections. Blythe got one year community corrections and two years’ probation. Both Brunette and Shelton received two years’ probation, and all were ordered to pay a $500 fine and court costs.

Notably, the judge and the prosecution agreed this was not “voter fraud” because votes were not cast, but it is a case of Democrats meddling in elections.

If they are willing to do this, you better believe they’re willing to compromise elections through not requiring photo IDs.

It is important to remind the public of cases like this.

It proves that elections can be compromised. Democrats are focused on winning, not playing by the rules.

The issue comes in detecting crimes earlier. The convictions happened years after the election. The results were in. Obama won the primary and the general.

We need to stop fraud when it happens. This is why passing the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act is so critical. Stop them now, not later.

Far-left Socialist Twitch streamer Hasan Piker melted down after Wisconsin state Rep. Francesca Hong’s stunning loss in the Democratic gubernatorial primary, blaming “boomers,” the media, and the Democratic establishment while openly calling to ban an entire generation of Americans and the Thanksgiving holiday itself.

Piker had aggressively promoted the Democratic Socialist candidate and raised tens of thousands of dollars for her campaign by hosting her on his stream.

Hong had been the heavy favorite to win but lost to Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley by fewer than 4,000 votes.

Piker was on his livestream as the numbers came in.

After seeing a report about a late-deciding voter who chose Crowley while still fond for Hong, he snapped, “I don’t want to read this because I will f—ing kill myself with a gun in a video game.”

When early returns confirmed Hong was on track to lose, Piker lost it.

He later added, “The monkey hanged himself. I’m the monkey. And I’ve been staring too much of the median American voter for the last couple of months. I need a f—ing break, dude.”

He also mocked critics of Hong’s past posts calling for the end of Thanksgiving, declaring “F-ck them. And f-ck Thanksgiving too.”

Piker didn’t stop on his stream; he also vented on X.

Responding to someone who noted his heavy involvement may have damaged Hong’s electability, he posted, “yes, this is part of why we came close to a victory but ultimately lost. i should never be the biggest surrogate of a campaign. pocan, or national progs wouldve alleviated some of the ‘electability’ concerns of hong which were overstated & outright weaponized in the last week blitz.”

In a separate post, he argued that “‘electability’ in the primaries and ‘harm reduction’ in the general still carry lots of boomers when it’s paired w/ a barrage of negative earned media + no defensive TV ads + no national prog endorsements. all in all an unbelievably impressive showing for dsa wisco groundgame.”

High-profile progressive figures including Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had declined to endorse Hong, so Piker became the unofficial face of her campaign.

The Trump Justice Department announced that 11 defendants have been charged in a sprawling, decade-long scheme that allegedly arranged more than 1,000 sham marriages, primarily between Chinese nationals and American citizens, to fraudulently obtain green cards.

Ten defendants were arrested Wednesday morning, according to the Justice Department. The eleventh was charged in the same two-count federal indictment.

Attorney General Todd Blanche called the alleged operation a “deliberate affront to the United States and our laws” and vowed that immigration fraud would not be tolerated under the Trump administration.

“This Department of Justice is rooting out fraud everywhere — including in our immigration system,” Blanche declared. “The individuals who were arrested today allegedly orchestrated elaborate schemes to illegally obtain citizenship for foreign nationals through sham marriages. Schemes like this are a deliberate affront to the United States and our laws and will not be tolerated under the Trump Administration.”

According to the indictment unsealed in the Southern District of New York, the network operated from at least 2016 through July 2026. Chinese nationals paid facilitators as much as $100,000 each to be paired with willing U.S. citizens.

The American “spouses” received up to $30,000, often in installments tied to milestones in the green card process. Recruiters pocketed commissions around $5,000 per match.

Prosecutors say the defendants ran a full-service fraud machine: facilitators who identified Chinese customers, recruiters who hunted for Americans willing to play along, assistants who prepared the fraudulent immigration paperwork, and even officiants who staged the fake ceremonies. Sham weddings were arranged across the country — Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida — and even overseas in China and Vanuatu.

Couples often met for the first time right before getting the marriage license. They staged photos, opened joint bank accounts, filed joint tax returns, and signed prenups that explicitly waived any real marital rights, because everyone involved knew it was a total farce. Those staged photos and manufactured “evidence” were then submitted to USCIS to make the marriages look legitimate.

The 11 charged include:

• Xiao Mei Chan (aka “Carmen”), 64, of Queens
• Christine Lu (aka “Lily”), 52, of Queens
• Jing Yan Ye (aka “Serene”), 43, of Staten Island

• Gang Zheng (aka “Michael”/“Mike”), 61, of Queens
• Anthony Cheng, 47, of Staten Island
• Michelle Duenas, 35, of Staten Island
• Angela Duenas, 26, of Staten Island
• Sigrid Cetino, 32, of Peekskill
• Erika Johnson, 43, of Ossining

Most are naturalized U.S. citizens from China. One is a green card holder.

Blanche called it “one of the largest marriage fraud prosecutions in United States history” and described the operation as a “years-long, multimillion-dollar cottage industry” designed to help people who could not legally become Americans cheat their way in.

Politico reported:

“Under the proposed reform, spies working for Germany’s foreign intelligence agency, the BND, could carry out acts of sabotage, conduct offensive cyber operations and pursue more aggressive espionage operations. Until now, those spies have been limited to information-gathering operations due to intentional restraints put in place after World War II to prevent a repeat of the abuses perpetrated by the Nazi spy apparatus.”

But, now, there is growing threat from Russia and China and concerns that the U.S. may halt the intelligence sharing that Germany so badly needs.

“‘We are daily targets of espionage, sabotage, cyberattacks and covert actions by foreign powers aimed at destabilizing Germany, at harming our country and at bringing about political and social changes within our country’, Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt told reporters after the cabinet meeting in Berlin.

‘Our mission is to continually adapt the state’s protective mandate to these new threat scenarios’, he added.”

Two people are dead after a helicopter crashed in Salado, Texas, on Wednesday, according to the Bell County Sheriff’s Office.

The chopper is an AH-64 U.S. Army Apache attack helicopter that crashed in a field near Fort Hood in Texas, the U.S. Army said in a statement.

The crash is still burning, but no buildings or structures were damaged, the Bell County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to ABC News.

The chopper is based in Fort Hood, the Army said. Apache attack helicopters are two-seater aircraft.

The University of Alberta has the right not to want its image associated with a fighter from the Waffen-SS.

Today (12), it arose that the University of Alberta has received legal approval to dissolve a research trust named after Ukrainian SS veteran Yaroslav Hunka, despite protests from the 101-year-old’s family.

Remember NaziGate? Back on 22 September 2023, the Liberals in the Canadian government had a ‘genius’ idea: during the visit by Kiev regime leader Volodymyr Zelensky, they would feature an elderly Ukrainian migrant ‘who fought against the Soviet Union’.

But who was this person? Yaroslav Hunka is a Ukrainian-Canadian who fought in the SS Division Galicia of the military wing of the Nazi Party, the Waffen-SS.

Yes, you read it right: a Nazi collaborator who fought in a unit that participated in several documented massacres, including Huta Pieniacka, Pidkamin, and Palikrowy, where civilians were killed in large numbers.

This is not a rumor or an innuendo: a Nazi collaborator from the Waffen-SS was invited to the House of Commons of Canada to be recognized and honored by Speaker Anthony Rota.

Hunka received two standing ovations from all members of the House, including then-Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his guest, Zelensky.

The NaziGate scandal was born, considered one of the most embarrassing moments in Canadian history.

Shortly after the scandal erupted, it was discovered that the University of Alberta was administering a research fund named after Hunka.

This led to the University of Alberta returning the $30,000 donation to Yaroslav Hunka’s family and closing the endowment in his name.

But the Hunka family objected to the move.

“Shortly after the scandal erupted, the University of Alberta acknowledged that it administered a research fund named after Hunka, a CAD30,000 ($21,500) endowment established with a donation from his son to support research into the history of the Ukrainian Catholic Church. It had remained largely obscure until the scandal, with no known beneficiaries.

The school apologized and announced plans to shut down the fund, but Hunka’s family opposed the move, arguing that his Waffen-SS service had been disclosed when the donation was made and that the university knew of his wartime record when it accepted the money. Citing a former university official, the family also noted that nine other university endowments were associated with Galicia Division members and, to their knowledge, had not been terminated.”

So the issue was fought out in the courts.

“Court of King’s Bench Justice Debra Yungwirth released her decision Friday on the fate of the Yaroslav & Margaret Hunka Ukrainian Research Endowment Fund, a $30,000 pot of money Hunka’s son Martin gave to the university to fund research into Ukrainian history.

The trust sat in obscurity until 2023, when Yaroslav Hunka received a standing ovation in the House of Commons during a visit by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. It soon emerged that Hunka — who then-Speaker Anthony Rota described as a hero ‘who fought for Ukrainian independence against the Russians’ — had served in the Galicia Division, a Waffen SS unit made up of Ukrainian volunteers.

Yungwirth said her task was to decide whether U of A could legally terminate the trust — not to determine ‘whether Yaroslav is a Nazi or a war criminal’. After a review of the law, she found the university was within its rights to return the money.

‘The university did not terminate the Hunka Trust because it determined that Yaroslav was a war criminal or anti-Semitic’, she wrote. ‘Rather, it did so because it perceived that any continued association with an individual who had served in a regiment connected to the Nazis would adversely affect the University of Alberta’.”

Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley narrowly defeated the Democratic Socialists of America candidate Francesca Hong in Wisconsin’s Democratic gubernatorial primary Tuesday. The startling upset victory sets up a November contest against the Republican Rep. Tom Tiffany.

Crowley received 39.8 percent of the vote to Hong’s 39.4 percent, a margin of slightly more than 3,000 votes. The outcome remained in doubt until Wednesday, after the nearly 30,000 absentee ballots in Milwaukee went uncounted as a result of what poll workers described as “human error.”

Hong, a state representative and former restaurant owner from Madison, had an overwhelming lead in pre-election polls. Crowley briefly withdrew from the race on July 8, stating that he didn’t see a path to victory, but returned 10 days later after securing the endorsement of outgoing Democratic Gov. Tony Evers to campaign as the candidate best positioned to win the battleground state.

Hong’s campaign was plagued by a series of scandals about radical statements she had made in past years, including advocating for Thanksgiving to be cancelled and saying that “police exist to uphold white supremacy.”

Tiffany, who was endorsed by President Donald Trump, easily won the Republican nomination. The winner will succeed Evers, who is not seeking a third term.
