JUST IN: Trump Posts Tom Cotton’s Cell Number Over Daylight Savings Bill — “Call Tom on His Cellphone… and Let Him Know”

President Trump on Saturday blasted Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton for holding up the bipartisan bill to permanently end daylight savings and twice-yearly clock changes.

In a hilarious move, the President also published Cotton’s phone number for the world to call him. Cotton appears to have already disconnected his phone number.

The House passed the Trump-backed Sunshine Protection Act, 308–117, in July, sending it to the Senate.

However, Tom Cotton has been a vocal opponent over concerns about a later sunrise, vowing to object if the bill reaches the Senate floor.

Trump went off on Cotton in an overnight post on Friday, the Gateway Pundit reported. Earlier, Trump blasted the senator again and shared his phone number, demanding that everybody “call Tom on his cellphone… and let him know.”

“Everybody in Arkansas, Tom Cotton, a friend of mine, is holding up a very important Bill. It’s called, “The Sunshine Protection Act” or, “We Don’t Want to Change Our Clocks Twice a Year Act.” For some reason, Tom is stopping the Bill and, in the Senate, it’s very easy to do, it only takes one!” Trump wrote. “Almost everybody wants “The Sunshine Protection Act” to pass, except for Tom Cotton.”

Trump further shared a letter from PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp, who expressed “the Tour’s strong support for the Sunshine Protection Act.”

“Permanent daylight saving time (DST) would expand access to golf at a time when the game is more popular than ever,” Rolapp argued, noting that it’s hard to fit time on the course into Americans’ busy daily schedules. “An extra hour of evening light sounds simple, but for everyday Americans, it can be the difference between getting on the course and not.”

“The data backs this up. The National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) estimates that permanent DST would generate 23 million additional rounds per year and $1 billion annually in new direct revenue for the golf industry – an average of $250,000 per facility,” Rolapp added.

“The benefits of permanent DST extend to professional golf as well. At the PGA Tour, usable afternoon daylight in the fall and winter would give our broadcast partners flexibility to extend live coverage of finishing holes, avoid awkward lighting situations in late rounds, and deliver a better overall product for the millions of fans who tune in each week.”

“Nobody wants to spend their precious time running all over the place, turning Clocks back twice a year and, having sunshine in the afternoon is better than early in the morning! The PGA TOUR, as an example, needs more Daylight in the afternoon in order to finish their Tournaments. Likewise, regular Golfers, Tennis Players, Hunters and, perhaps most importantly, Farmers who want more Daylight to play or work,” Trump wrote.

Full statement below:

Everybody in Arkansas, Tom Cotton, a friend of mine, is holding up a very important Bill. It’s called, “The Sunshine Protection Act” or, “We Don’t Want to Change Our Clocks Twice a Year Act.” For some reason, Tom is stopping the Bill and, in the Senate, it’s very easy to do, it only takes one! It should pass overwhelmingly, in a Bipartisan fashion. So, everyone in Arkansas, a State I love, and won 3 times, the last by by 34 points, tell Tom to, GET IT DONE!

It will be appreciated by all. Nobody wants to spend their precious time running all over the place, turning Clocks back twice a year and, having sunshine in the afternoon is better than early in the morning! The PGA TOUR, as an example, needs more Daylight in the afternoon in order to finish their Tournaments. Likewise, regular Golfers, Tennis Players, Hunters and, perhaps most importantly, Farmers who want more Daylight to play or work.

See letter from Brian Rolapp, CEO of the PGA TOUR below. 65% PLUS want more sun in the afternoon, Daylight Saving Time (The way it is now!), but 100% don’t want to change their Clocks twice a year. They want to, as they say, “LOCK THE CLOCK!” Who doesn’t? It’s very expensive for our Nation where you have high and dangerous steeples to reach, like on churches and municipal buildings. Almost everybody wants “The Sunshine Protection Act” to pass, except for Tom Cotton.

To the Great People of Arkansas, please let your Senator know it would be a GREAT Bipartisan WIN for the United States Senate, and for America, itself. Call Tom on his cellphone at, 479-453-0533, and let him know. “The Sunshine Protection Act” was passed in the House by a Vote of 308 to 117. HAVE THE SENATE VOTE, NOW! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

Three University of South Alabama Students Arrested on Federal Charges After Alleged Social Media Threats Against President Trump — Hours Before Mobile Rally

Three university students faced federal charges over alleged social-media threats against him ahead of the event.

Three University of South Alabama students were arrested and hit with federal charges after investigators say they posted threatening messages targeting President Donald Trump ahead of his Friday night rally on the school’s Mobile campus.

The suspects, Amare Jemal Woods, Cameron Lamark Lewis, and Kayla Leaann Smith, have each been charged with making threats against the president, according to local reporting.

According to Fox News, the arrests came as Trump prepared to appear at the University of South Alabama’s Mitchell Center on Friday evening.

The federal cases were unsealed Friday afternoon, just hours before Trump was scheduled to take the stage. Investigators reportedly discovered the posts while conducting social-media intelligence searches ahead of the presidential visit and relied on emergency disclosure requests and assistance from University of South Alabama police to identify the individuals.

Local station FOX10 News identified the three defendants and reported that federal affidavits accuse them of separately posting violent or threatening messages before Trump’s arrival.

According to the affidavit cited by FOX10, Woods allegedly used TikTok to respond to a post about Trump’s planned appearance with the message:

“he gotta die bro.”

The post was allegedly made on September 27.

Lewis allegedly posted a message on X suggesting that people would remember the University of South Alabama in the same way they remembered Utah Valley University, according to investigators.

Authorities interpreted that as an apparent reference to Utah Valley University, where conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated in 2025.

Smith, meanwhile, allegedly responded to a TikTok post about Trump’s appearance on September 29 with the message:

“We only got one chance let’s take it.”

According to the affidavit summarized by FOX10, she then allegedly posted an image depicting someone mimicking the act of holding a gun.

FOX10 reported that Woods is an aerospace engineering student, Lewis is a philosophy major, and Smith is pursuing a degree in elementary education. The federal offense carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison if convicted.

The University of South Alabama condemned the alleged threats while emphasizing that disagreement and political expression are protected but intimidation and unlawful conduct cross a different line.

The school also stressed that the Trump event was not sponsored by the university. The Republican National Committee had reserved the Mitchell Center for the Friday event, according to the university and Fox News.

Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch had already revealed before Trump arrived that local authorities were working with federal agencies to monitor potentially threatening social-media activity surrounding the rally.

“There’s been a couple people who’ve made some really stupid comments,” Burch said earlier in the week, explaining that his office and federal partners were monitoring the situation and taking precautions.

An attorney representing Woods pushed back against the suggestion that his client genuinely intended to harm Trump.

Jason Darley told FOX10 that the Secret Service understandably takes presidential threats seriously, but said he does not believe Woods actually planned to hurt the president.

“I don’t honestly think any of these three are threats,” Darley told the station.

The allegations nevertheless surfaced against a backdrop of heightened security around Trump and other political figures following repeated threats and acts of political violence.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported in August that the FBI arrested Ayden Langevin after authorities were alerted to alleged online threats against Trump and Secret Service personnel.

The Gateway Pundit also covered another federal case this year involving an FAA employee accused of threatening to assassinate President Trump.

Despite Friday’s arrests and the significant security operation surrounding his visit, Trump went forward with the Mobile rally as planned.

As The Gateway Pundit reported Friday evening, Trump appeared at the Mitchell Center as part of his October midterm campaign blitz, returning to the city where he held one of the defining early rallies of his 2016 presidential campaign.

“It sort of all began here,” Trump told the Mobile crowd as he recalled his massive 2015 Alabama rally.

Tennessee Prisons Chief Frank Strada Out Following Disastrous Failed Execution of Convicted Murderer Christa Pike

Tennessee Prisons Chief Frank Strada Out Following Disastrous Failed Execution of Convicted Murderer Christa Pike

Tennessee Department of Correction Commissioner Frank Strada has officially resigned following a colossal bureaucratic failure that left convicted killer Christa Pike alive after two separate failed lethal injection attempts.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced Saturday that Strada will leave his post this month as the state launches an independent investigation into what went wrong inside Riverbend Maximum Security Institution on Wednesday night.

“Commissioner Strada has served with integrity, and I appreciate his willingness to put the interests of Tennesseans first during this difficult moment,” Lee said in a statement reported by USA Today.

“I have accepted his decision to step down and am grateful for his commitment to ensuring a smooth leadership transition. I thank Commissioner Strada for his dedicated service to Tennessee and pray God’s blessings over him in the days ahead.”

Strada, in a statement released through the governor’s office, said stepping aside “is in the best interest of Tennesseans as the independent review moves forward.”

He called the review “entirely appropriate and necessary” and said he would “do everything I can to help determine exactly what occurred,” according to the New York Post. No replacement has been named yet.

Pike, 50, was supposed to be the first woman executed in Tennessee in more than 200 years. Instead, executioners administered two full doses of pentobarbital on Wednesday night and she survived.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, her attorneys told a federal court she had not lost consciousness, still had a heartbeat, and was audibly snoring inside the death chamber.

Witnesses described her gasping and asking whether the burning in her arm was “normal” before officials pulled the blinds. An ambulance rolled up while media witnesses were already at the podium.

By Friday she was unconscious, intubated, and on a ventilator at a Nashville-area hospital, her lawyers said in a court filing cited by CBS News.

Hospital staff were trying to clear two doses of the execution drug from her body. She has significant injuries to both arms. Her attorneys wrote that the IV team apparently never realized the lines were not correctly placed or that her veins had blown, so the pentobarbital was entering her tissue instead of her bloodstream, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The Tennessee Department of Correction insisted it “followed every step” of the protocol approved by the attorney general’s office and that the protocol does not allow further procedures beyond what was carried out. Pike was then transported off-site.

Lee had already called the failure “deeply disturbing,” ordered a comprehensive third-party review, and canceled the state’s remaining 2026 execution, as The Gateway Pundit reported Thursday.

Strada was hired in 2023 to restart Tennessee executions after a 2022 independent review found the state had for years failed to follow its own lethal-injection rules. He came from Arizona, where he was a top corrections official during three lethal injections later criticized for serious problems, including a case in which the team resorted to a femoral line, The New York Times reported.

Since he arrived in Tennessee, the department has now mishandled two executions in 2026. In May it failed to execute Tony Carruthers, convicted of killing three people.

Republican State Sen. Tom Hatcher, a former chairman of the corrections oversight committee, told the Times that if he rated commissioners from one to 10, Strada “would be a one.”

WATCH: Trump Again Promises to Send All Adult Americans $5,000 if Republicans Win the Midterms

President Donald Trump is urging Americans to treat the 2026 midterms as if his own name were on the ballot and repeated his pledge to send $5,000 to every adult citizen if Republicans keep the House and the Senate.

Trump called the midterms “one of the most important elections of our lives” and told supporters to vote early or by mail.

“In this election, I’m asking you to pretend I’m on the ballot. Whenever I’m on the ballot, we get 45% more votes. So I’m not on the ballot, but pretend I am because this is a big deal,” Trump said in a Truth Social post early Saturday morning.

WATCH:

In another video clip, he once again promised a financial reward for Republicans keeping control.

“Only I can make you this promise. If Republicans win the House of Representatives and the Senate in the 2026 midterm elections, I’m going to give all adult citizens in the United States of America $5,000,” Trump said.

“We’re taking in massive amounts of money through tariffs and record economic success, but Democrat policies won’t allow this to happen. In fact, the opposite is going to take place. They’re gonna raise your taxes, and they’re gonna destroy our country and certainly destroy our economy. It’ll be a 1929 disaster,” Trump added.

WATCH:

Trump first made the $5,000 promise on September 9 at the Republican midterm convention in Dallas, telling the crowd that economic success would let him issue a “Trump Dividend” to every adult citizen if Republicans retained both chambers.

The president compared it to a company distributing cash to shareholders.

Vice President JD Vance later suggested the payments could come from tariff revenue and would not go to wealthy Americans.

Trump has also said he does not want to issue the checks before the election.

Asked why he would not send them now, he said that if Democrats take control, “our country will be in shambles and they won’t be able to do it,” while a Republican Congress would be taking in “tremendous amounts of money,” according to a report from Mediaite.

Fire Fighters Union in Michigan Quietly Pulls Endorsement of Abdul-El Sayed Then Scrubs Website

A fire fighters union in Michigan has yanked their support for far left Democrat Abdul El-Sayed in the race for U.S. Senate.

They’re now chalking the original endorsement up as a clerical error. Either way, it’s not a good look for El-Sayed, who has come under increased scrutiny in recent months.

The people who run big unions often endorse Democrat candidates, but the rank and file members tend to vote Republican. We have seen this happen again and again.

The Midwesterner reports:

Michigan fire fighters union calls Abdul El-Sayed endorsement ‘clerical error’ — quietly erases from slate of supported candidates

The Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Union quietly removed U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed from its slate of endorsed candidates.

MPFFU President Matt Sahr told The Midwesterner the union’s slate of endorsed candidates initially went out to members on Sept. 11 or 12 with an endorsement for El-Sayed’s campaign prominently displayed at the top alongside Jocelyn Benson for governor and endorsements for the Michigan Supreme Court.

Fifteen days later, on Monday, MPFFU leaders sent out a revised slate of endorsements that replaced El-Sayed with an endorsement for Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist for Secretary of State.

“Our intention was to stay out of that race,” Sahr said, adding the initial slate of endorsements “got distributed out before it got approved” and dismissed it as a clerical error.”…

At least one MPFFU member disputes that.

“This was not a clerical error. What we are seeing now is MPFFU leadership trying to sweep this under the rug. If rank-and-file members had not voiced our concerns, I have no doubt this organization would still be supporting Abdul El-Sayed over Mike Rogers,” a MPFFU fire fighter from southern Michigan told The Midwesterner.

Pretty rough news for the El-Sayed campaign.

You probably won’t hear this reported on CNN.

Hegseth Orders One-Day Military Stand-Down So Every Warrior Can Register, Request Ballots and VOTE

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered commanders across the U.S. military to conduct a one-day voting stand-down by October 15

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has ordered military commanders across the country to set aside an entire day for America’s service members to register, obtain absentee ballots and cast their votes ahead of the November midterm elections.

On Friday, Secretary Hegseth ordered commanders across the Department of Defense to designate a mandatory, one-day military “stand-down” prior to October 15.

The order is designed to give service members and their families the necessary time to register to vote, request absentee ballots, and cast their votes ahead of the crucial upcoming midterm elections.

In a video statement posted on X, Hegseth explained that voting for military personnel has been “time-consuming and complex,” as service members face unnecessary difficulties obtaining and returning absentee ballots while serving far from home.

Sec. Hegseth:
“So, we all agree that voting is important, number one. We all agree that, at the War Department, we serve the best citizens in the country—those who wear the uniform—number two. So, how about we make sure those who serve our country have every single opportunity to vote? Makes sense to me.

Therefore, I’m directing all commanders and supervisors at all levels across this department to conduct a one-day stand-down during the month of October, beginning this year and continuing every election year.

This year, we’ll execute the stand-down no later than October 15th. You see, there’s plenty of precedence for this. In fact, in February of 2021, under the Biden administration, then-Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin mandated an urgent training stand-down. He paused training operations and exercises to address a vaguely defined but urgent extremism problem. I remember it—patriot extremism.

Well, as I’ve stated before, this is a new and apolitical War Department with all the right priorities. Under the leadership of President Trump, we’re upholding things that are central to the defense of our republic and our American way of life.

And we’re doing this because, in the past, voting for our men and women in uniform has been time-consuming and complex, as many warriors reside outside of their home state for obvious reasons. They face unnecessary, difficult ways of obtaining, completing, and returning absentee ballots while serving far from home.

Now, we’re not telling you who to vote for, but we will give you every opportunity to do so.

It’s then up to you to exercise your right as an American to choose your elected leaders. Voting is the way our Founding Fathers envisioned every citizen’s ability to participate in government. We’re going to take the time to ensure that you can vote and that your voice is heard.

You are the best citizens of our country, and therefore, you should have every opportunity to exercise your right to vote. So, take that day to fill out your absentee ballot, help your family members do the same, or go to the polling place yourself and exercise your right to vote.

It’s about time we prioritize that in this department, and we’re fixing it right here, right now.”

WATCH:

This latest directive follows Hegseth’s broader effort to increase voting participation among America’s men and women in uniform.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported on September 26, Hegseth urged service members, spouses and eligible family members to register ahead of the midterms after saying roughly 300,000 American service members were not registered to vote in 2024.

At the time, Hegseth directed troops to FVAP.gov and reminded commanders that encouraging registration does not mean telling troops which candidates to support.

“You’re not telling them who to vote for; you’re just telling them to vote,” Hegseth said.

The Gateway Pundit also reported this week that Hegseth issued a separate directive ordering U.S. Cyber Command and Defense intelligence agencies to prioritize efforts against foreign interference targeting the 2026 elections.

The November 3 election is now just weeks away, and Hegseth’s order ensures troops stationed across the United States and around the world have dedicated time to navigate registration and absentee-ballot requirements before Election Day.

GOOD BOY! Kansas Dog Flags Down Leawood Cop in the Street and Leads Him Straight to Owner Lying on the Garage Floor for More Than THREE HOURS

Bodycam footage shows a loyal dog leading a Leawood Police Department officer back to its Kansas home (Credit: Leawood Police Department)

Sometimes man’s best friend really does save the day.

A loyal dog in Leawood, Kansas, is being celebrated after flagging down a police officer and leading him straight back to its injured owner, who had reportedly been stranded on the floor of a garage for more than three hours.

The remarkable encounter happened on September 17 while a Leawood Police Department officer was patrolling a residential neighborhood, Johnson County Post reported.

The officer spotted a dog standing in the roadway with a leash attached, but there was no owner anywhere in sight.

Bodycam footage released by police shows the dog barking repeatedly at the officer as if it was desperately trying to get his attention.

“Hi, why don’t you go on back home?” the officer told the pup.

According to the Leawood Police Department, the officer got back in the car and followed the dog about half a block. The animal kept looking back, barking, and leading the way.

At the driveway, a second dog was waiting. “Is this where you live?” the officer asked. The garage door was wide open. Inside, the homeowner was on the concrete floor and could not get up.

Police say the resident had been down for more than three hours.

Bodycam video released by the department shows the officer checking on the homeowner — “Hi, are you OK?” — and calling for medical help.

“Thanks to the resident’s loyal companion, our officer was able to find them and get them the help they needed,” Leawood police said. “The resident was treated by medical personnel and is now recovering safely at home.”

Capt. Jason Ahring, a Leawood police spokesman, told the Johnson County Post the officer deserves credit for taking the extra time instead of driving on. Viewers who watched the clip noted one dog stayed with the owner while the other went looking for help.

A year-plus into Trump’s second term…

We’ve seen ZERO insiders arrested.

Not a single deep state crony.

Or member of Biden’s team.

The question is – why?

We just met up with a 50-year Washington insider who has a wild theory on what’s really going on… and what will happen next.

“Behind the scenes,” he told us, “the Trump team has been planning a counter-attack unlike anything we’ve seen since the Civil War.”

And it won’t just re-shape Washington…

He added:

“The last time anything like this happened, the stock market lost more than half of its value. And by the time it hits the headlines, it will be too late for most people to prepare.”

That’s why we sat him down and got the whole thing on camera — his theory, the counter-attack he says is coming, and what it could mean for your money.

We’ve made it free to watch, while there’s still time to react.

You can see it for yourself, right here:

Federal Judge Rules Warrantless Flock Search Unconstitutional After Deputy Pulls Month of Driver’s Travel History — Calls System ‘Indiscriminate Mass Surveillance’

“Flock Safety ALPR Camera – Automated License Plate Reader” by Tony Webster, CC BY 2.0

A federal judge in Oklahoma just threw out a drug case after ruling that police violated the Fourth Amendment when they used Flock Safety’s automated license-plate cameras to pull a driver’s travel history for roughly a month, without a warrant, and without probable cause.

U.S. District Judge Sara E. Hill of the Northern District of Oklahoma ruled that Tulsa County sheriff’s deputy Freddie Alaniz conducted an “Unconstitutional Warrantless Search” when he queried Flock and other automated license plate reader systems on a Mazda SUV simply because it had a California plate.

According to 404 Media, the search returned more than 50 records of the driver’s whereabouts across the country. Hill suppressed the Flock records and everything that came out of the later search of the vehicle.

The defendant is Melisa Kyle, 46, of Crane, Missouri, charged with possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

According to Law Commentary, the case began in May when Alaniz, who also served as a DEA task force officer, was parked along Interstate 44, saw the California plate, pulled onto the highway, and started following the SUV.

He later stopped Kyle for changing lanes without a signal, then used the Flock history to question her about her travel and to justify searching the car.

Authorities said they found about 91 pounds of methamphetamine packed in luggage, marijuana, and roughly $7,000 in cash. Hill ruled the constitutional violation happened earlier, when the deputy reached into the historical location database.

“The Fourth Amendment requires courts to draw a line when the cost is too great,” Hill wrote.

“Alaniz’s search in just the ALPR system provided him with more than 50 individual records of Kyle’s whereabouts across the country for an entire month.”

She went further. The systems, she wrote, “intruded on her reasonable expectation of privacy in the whole of her physical movements.” And the only reason for the query, based on the record, was the out-of-state plate.

Hill called the technology “a type of indiscriminate mass surveillance.” It is not aimed at one suspect. It logs vehicles that pass any camera on the network, then hands the history to law enforcement on demand.

The judge said Flock’s nationwide network is quickly “approaching dragnet-type law enforcement practice.”

Flock was not a party to the case. A company spokesperson told 404 Media the ruling “goes against the overwhelming weight of authority in similar cases across the country, including multiple recent decisions in Oklahoma,” and that Flock expects it to be appealed and overturned.

The company said the decision is limited to the facts of this case and does not set a controlling precedent.

The Gateway Pundit has repeatedly reported on the growing controversy surrounding Flock’s nationwide surveillance infrastructure.

In late September, The Gateway Pundit reported that Flock moved to take down a public map after a researcher exposed roughly 300,000 devices tied to the company, more than 170,000 cameras plus acoustic sensors and other gear. Flock has publicly claimed more than 120,000 cameras and on the order of 20 billion vehicle scans a month.

Days earlier, The Gateway Pundit reported that a Pinellas County, Florida, deputy was arrested after running hundreds of searches on a woman he reportedly wanted a relationship with, about 300 of them through the Flock system. A second deputy was arrested after looking up a 17-year-old girl. In August, a South Carolina officer was fired after allegedly using Flock to spy on an ex-boyfriend.

In August, The Gateway Pundit reported that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott cut off state funding for the cameras after millions in state money had already bought thousands of them. Abbott’s office said agencies were clarifying that those funds cannot be used for Flock cameras. Sen. Rand Paul has warned that Americans do not surrender their privacy rights when they drive to work, drop their kids at school, or go to church.

President Trump has taken the other side of the argument in public. As The Gateway Pundit reported in September, Trump told reporters he “sort of like[s] them” because law enforcement uses them to catch suspects, while acknowledging that some people see an infringement. He has also said the issue is being studied.
