A Symbolic Detail Hidden in Background of Netflix’s New ‘Narnia’ Trailer Has Fans Fearing the Worst

A clip from the new trailer for Netflix’s upcoming “Chronicles of Narnia” series has fans fearing what the real message of the adaptation will be.

Greta Gerwig, the director of the 2023 hit film “Barbie,” is helming the project, called “The Magician’s Nephew,” which is a prequel to “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.”

Fans were already concerned when she cast Meryl Streep as the voice of Aslan, who is male in the books. Liam Neeson voiced the part in the film adaptations in the 2000s, which were produced by Walden Media and distributed by Disney.

In the trailer, Jadis, the witch (played by Emma Mackey), can be seen blowing up the English pub The Eagle & Child, which was the famous meeting place of the Inklings, an Oxford writers’ group made up of “Narnia” author C.S. Lewis, “Lord of the Rings” scribe J.R.R. Tolkien, Charles Williams, Owen Barfield, and others.

By the way, Led Zeppelin’s menacing “Stairway to Heaven” scores the trailer.

In “The Magician’s Nephew” book, a young boy named Digory travels to a parallel world and accidentally brings Jadis back to life. She then forces him and his traveling companion, a little girl named Polly Plummer, to bring her to England.

The White Witch later travels to Narnia, where she usurps the throne and imposes a winter curse on the land, which is where “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” picks up.

One user posted on X in response to the trailer, “Pretty fitting that this ‘adaptation’ is literally blowing up the Eagle & Child.”

Another wrote, “Jadis (The White Witch) is blowing up The Eagle & Child. This is the pub where Lewis, Tolkien and The Inklings, an all-male literary group, famously met. Greta Gerwig and @Netflix are quite possibly ‘blowing up the patriarchy’ here, and completely up-ending the world of Narnia here — and the legacy of the stories.”

Given the girl power message of Gerwig’s “Barbie” movie, that’s a pretty reasonable interpretation of the meaning of the scene.

Another pointed out that Uncle Andrew, played by Daniel Craig, comes off as a harmless trickster character in the trailer, but in the book, he is a conniving villain.

“I’m just waiting for the sympathetic ‘he’s not that bad, it’s because of him we accessed Narnia, and he kinda caused the creation… of Narnia when you think about it!’” the user wrote.

“Narnia being created is not a result of Andrew’s evil actions, which would soften the impact of his evil. It’s that Aslan/Jesus will take any evil and turn it to good if he chooses to. The bigger lesson in all the Narnian books is that people do not make good from evil, Jesus does,” the user argued.

Gerwig says she is a fan of “The Chronicles of Narnia.”

“I would not be who I am without these books,” she told the Associated Press. “They created me.”

Perhaps God will use this latest adaptation of Narnia for good, but based on the trailer, fans have reason to be concerned.

Update: Pastor Removed from School Board Meeting for Reading Graphic Book- Book Pulled from Library, Police End Off-Duty Meeting Security

The Gateway Pundit reported that Pastor John K. Amanchukwu Sr. was removed by police during a school board meeting in North Carolina for daring to read a passage from a book available to students at Lake Norman High School.

Pastor Amanchukwu has now shared that the book has been removed from the school library and the Troutman Police Department will no longer authorize its officers to work off-duty security assignments at meetings.

The changes come after Pastor Amanchukwu spoke before the Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education meeting on October 12, 2026, and began reading excerpts from the novel *Push* by Sapphire, aka Ramona Lofton.

The novel contains explicit depictions of incest, rape, physical and emotional abuse, and related trauma.

Before he even began reading, Board Chair Dr. Doug Knight told him if he was going to “read nasty words” it would not be allowed.

Pastor Amanchukwu continued to push back, supported by at least one board member, that the Chair was violating his First Amendment rights.

As he began reading some of the explicit passages and reminding the room that the book is freely available to students, Knight told the Pastor he was out of order and police approached Amanchukwu and removed him from the meeting.

Pastor Amanchukwu shared an update along with a letter from the police department.

He wrote on X, “The book that I read from, entitled PUSH, has been removed!!!”

“AND….. The Troutman Police Department will no longer authorize its officers to work off-duty security assignments at meetings of the Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education. Recent incidents have raised concerns about the legal basis for requested removals, the protection of Constitutional rights, and the expectations placed on officers assigned to these meetings.”

Josh Watson, Chief of Police for the Troutman Police Department, wrote:

Dear Superintendent James and Principal Rogers, Effective October 26, 2026, the Troutman Police Department will no longer authorize its officers to workoff-duty security assignments at meetings of the Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education.

Recent incidents have raised concerns about the legal basis for requested removals, the protection of Constitutional rights, and the expectations placed on officers assigned to these meetings.

We recognize the Board’s responsibility to conduct orderly meetings and enforce lawful meeting procedures. Officers, however, remain responsible for independently determining whether law enforcement action is legally justified. A request from the presiding officer does not, by itself, establish sufficient legal grounds for removal, detention, or arrest.

Given these concerns, I have determined that continuing this off-duty security assignment is not appropriate for our department. The Board and school administration will need to make alternative arrangements for meeting security.

The Troutman Police Department will continue to respond to calls for law enforcement assistance at Board meetings within our jurisdiction and will assess each situation based on the circumstances and applicable law. This decision does not change our authorization for officers to work approved off-duty assignments at school sporting events and other school activities within our jurisdiction.

A foundation supporting Navy SEALs thrilled onlookers at a private club in Newport Beach, California, earlier this month by performing stunning helicopter feats.

The Oct. 8 helicopter demonstration at the Newport Beach Country Club was performed during the SEAL Future Foundation’s annual gala, according to local station KABC. The organization is a nonprofit dedicated to taking care of Navy SEALs as they adapt to civilian life.

The stunning performance featured a helicopter flying close to the ground as flames shot up from below. Later, the helicopter circled around some trees as red and blue smoke poured out from its rear.

“By the end of the stunt, the golf course was blanketed in smoke,” KABC reported.

Prior to the performance, the police warned local residents not to freak out.

“Residents near Newport Beach Country Club may notice increased noise and activity during a private event from 5:45– 6:00 p.m.,” Newport Beach Police wrote on social media. “The event will include a helicopter flyover, fireworks, loud noises and theatrical smoke effects as part of a planned demonstration,” the warning continued.

“The demonstration is expected to last approximately 15 minutes,” the warning added. “These effects are part of a planned event and are not a cause for concern. We appreciate your understanding.”

The foundation was launched by Jonathan Wilson, a former Navy SEAL himself.

According to a profile on the SEAL Future Foundation’s website, when Wilson returned to civilian life as an investment banker, he struggled mightily.

“I just didn’t belong,” the self-written profile reads. “My family was as supportive throughout my transition as they were throughout the numerous deployments, but even at home, I was lost. I felt like an outsider, and, just like at work, I couldn’t articulate what was going on.”

Unsure of what to do, Wilson decided to reenlist.

“It was, of all places, during a funeral for one of my SEAL brothers that it became clear, my only option was reenlistment,” he explained in the profile. “So, after 9 months of civilian life, I was back in the teams. I was happy and content — until I wasn’t.”

After two additional deployments, he thought about returning home, but was scared another transition back into civilian life would be no different. That’s when the idea of starting a foundation first occurred to him.

“Founding SFF marked my true transition,” Wilson wrote. “I found a purpose and a new way to serve my brothers, by creating an organization where support and community are at their fingertips in a world where this is difficult to find.”

“SFF has helped me recognize where I belong and focus on what’s important,” he added. “I am back in finance full time and, thanks to the services offered by SFF, I can communicate my needs and expectations with my employer.”

In the interview, he called for society to do more to take care of struggling veterans.

The Islamo-Marxist riots in France have completely exploded after weeks of mayhem and are threatening President Emmanuel Macron’s home.

As The Daily Mail reported, thousands of violent protesters overturned cars, set buildings ablaze, and attacked police across the country.

The worst violence arguably occurred in Lyon. There, a tourist office and cars were set on fire by rioters.

France’s interior minister, Laurent Nuñez, also added that looting by the red-green rioters was recorded in many cities. These cities included Paris, Rouen, Nantes, Toulouse, and Marseille.

Several videos have emerged showing just how ugly the scenes were.

Now, one of the most historic structures in the entire country, the 143-year-old Limoges town hall, has now burned to the ground as the police continue to sit on their hands.

Rioters are on the verge of reaching Macron’s palace. Just imagine the horror if it were set on fire as well.

France will have officially fallen.

Despite all of this, Nuñez says that they will NOT declare a state of emergency.

This is a result of failed previous efforts by authorities to shut down the riots.

In one instance, in Marseille, France, on October 2, a hooded 15-year-old burned a woman’s face with an aerosol can and a lighter at Place du 4-Septembre. She had tried to stop protesters from vandalizing a bus shelter.

Police arrested the teenager that evening in the Frais-Vallon district after identifying him through video surveillance.

He was charged with voluntary violence with three aggravating circumstances: using a weapon, acting as part of a group, and concealing his face. The prosecutor said, “No demand of any kind could justify such acts of violence.”

“It was insane to not only leave the border open but to give people instructions on how to get in and also transport them to cities and then put them up in hotels,” Joe Rogan said.

Rogan continued, “Was it cheap labor? Was it to turn these people into citizens and permanently voting your side because you helped them get in?”

Rogan also criticized Joe Biden’s mandatory Covid vaccine policies.

Joe Rogan did criticize Trump over the ongoing Iran war and said that he ran on ‘no new wars.’

Sunny Hostin smugly fact-checked Joe Rogan and claimed the border wasn’t open under Joe Biden because one time Biden told the illegals “don’t come.”

Right Side Broadcasting Network interviewed the man before today’s rally.

This man expressed what most of the world understands – “President Trump is the greatest leader of our time!”

Trump supporter, Wisdom Atakuma, is full of nothing but love for the greatest leader of our time, President Donald Trump.

African-American Trump Supporter: “My name is Wisdom Atakuma. I came from Ghana nine years ago. I’m now a U.S. citizen legally. I’m always trying to be— to do the right thing. You are the greatest leader of our time.

There’s nobody like you. Avoid the noise. You are doing the right thing. You know, everything you are doing, I want to encourage you that— keep doing it for the future of this country and for the next generation that are coming after us. We need to do it for them.

You know, I’m encouraging you. Thank you. I love you so much. You don’t know how much I love you. I started following you in Ghana before I came here.

You have changed my life. When I came here 2018, you were the president. Things were going on well. When you left, my life fall down like a stock market. But when you came back that same year, I bought a house.

NYC Mayor Mamdani Snubs Yet Another Ethnic Group

Polish Americans across the country hold events and parades to honor Casimir Pulaski, a Polish nobleman and Revolutionary War hero known as the “Father of the American Cavalry.”

But to NYC Mayor Mamdani, a hero of the Revolutionary War is not special enough to warrant distinction.

Mamdani ignored an invitation to attend the Pulaski Day Parade in the city on October 4th. He then tried to cover for the slight by lumping honoring Polish Americans’ contribution to the nation into an upcoming event celebrating the heritage of Eastern Europeans, something many consider a slap in the face because of Poland’s history.

Per The New York Post:

Most Poles identify as Central European and strongly reject any “Eastern European” label — largely because of its historical connection with Soviet communism and the Warsaw Pact.

Adding insult to injury, the socialist mayor then ditched a fresh Gracie Mansion tradition launched by his predecessor Eric Adams — pulling the plug on the annual breakfast reception at Gracie Mansion honoring Polish heritage.

Instead, the Mayor’s Office sent out invites last week for an Eastern European reception on Oct. 22 at Gracie Mansion.

Former Councilman Robert Holden said on X, “Mamdani clearly hates Europeans, especially white New Yorkers. Period. First, he snubbed German-Americans at the Steuben Day Parade.”

“Then Polish-Americans at last week’s Pulaski Day Parade. Now Italian-Americans on Columbus Day..”

“What does that tell you?”

“I call it racism, plain and simple.”

Born in Poland in 1745, Pulaski fought for Polish independence against Russian domination as part of the Confederation of Bar before fleeing to France.

He was recruited to America by Benjamin Franklin, arriving in 1777, and wrote to George Washington that he came “where freedom is being defended, to serve it, and to live or die for it.”

During the Battle of Brandywine, his cavalry charge helped avert disaster and is credited with saving Washington’s life.

He was promoted to brigadier general and organized the Continental Army’s cavalry.

During the Siege of Savannah, he was mortally wounded leading a charge and died on October 11, 1779.

In 2009, Congress posthumously granted him honorary U.S. citizenship—one of only a handful of people ever so honored.

Mamdani also refused to attend Columbus Day parades held in several boroughs, and even posted a photo flipping off a statue of Christopher Columbus.

He also passed on the German-American Steuben Parade in September and the Israel Day Parade in May.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, he was the first mayor in over 60 years to skip the city’s annual Israel Day Parade. Instead, Mamdani bizarrely rode around the city on a bicycle in a full suit.

He also outraged the Jewish community over an offensive video he made satirizing Hanukkah.

Leaders of Largest United Methodist Church in the U.S. Vote to Leave Denomination

A major United Methodist church in Texas will soon vote on leaving the denomination after leaders of Highland Park Methodist Church said the time for a split has come.

The Church Council said a lawsuit from the Horizon Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church is nothing more than interference in church governance, according to WFAA-TV.

“The Conference has consistently made it clear that it will no longer honor the governance structure that has been integral to our success as a Church,” a letter from the Church Council said.

“The Church Council believes the Conference and its bishop have irrevocably broken the bond of trust that once existed between our Church and The United Methodist Church,” the letter said.

The letter said that the church’s principles and mission will remain the same.

“Regardless of the vote’s outcome, none of this will change. Our theology, our commitment to following Jesus Christ, and our mission to help people become deeply devoted followers of Jesus Christ will continue,” the letter said.

Daily Mail journalist MaryAnn Martinez referred to Highland Park as the “wealthiest and most prominent Methodist church in Dallas” in a post on X.

The church, which has been listed as the largest United Methodist Church congregation in the country, has about 15,000 members and in 2024 reported it had an annual income of more than $22 million, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The congregation-wide vote on leaving the United Methodist Church will take place Oct. 25 and Oct. 26.

The letter from the council to church members said that its “recommendation on a ‘Yes’ vote reflects the Council’s determination and conviction that a ‘Yes’ vote is the only way to preserve our longstanding right to self-governance while protecting our Church’s historic ministry and mission.”

If the church votes to leave, lawsuits are likely because the conference said the church’s property is held in trust with the denomination.

“That isn’t a claim of ownership by any bishop or conference,” conference Bishop Ruben Saenz Jr. said. “It’s a promise that what one generation builds remains for mission in the next. None of us owns Highland Park United Methodist Church. Jesus Christ is the head of the church.”

The church made changes to its structure in 2022 that are now being contested.

In one shift, the church changed its corporate name to “Highland Park Methodist Church.”

Changes to church bylaws increased the role of the church council while diminishing that of the conference.

“It’s just a reality that stares us in the face,” senior minister Matt Tuggle said in a recent town hall on the issue. “It now becomes easier to continue to be the church that we are outside of the denomination than inside of it.”

Man Shot and Killed NYC Subway Station

According to police, on Saturday afternoon at the busy NYC subway station at 7th Avenue and 53rd Street, an argument led to a fatal shooting.

Although first responders provided CPR to the wounded man, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at Bellevue Hospital.

According to The New York Post, the victim and the gunman “had engaged in some type of dispute on the northbound platform, though the details are not yet clear.”

It appears that the shooting may have been targeted.

Per The New York Post:

“Nothing random between these two individuals,” an NYPD spokesperson told The Post at the scene.

An E train had pulled up to the platform and opened its doors just moments before the shooting occurred, with one witness telling The Post he heard two “pops” roughly eight seconds apart, sending straphangers into a frenzy.

“Everybody was running,” said Mauricio Marroquin, who was on his way home to Queens after working a morning shift as a breakfast attendant.

“I seen a gentleman laying right in front,” Marroquin said of the victim. “He was dressed in a blazer, looked like he was coming from work or something, bro. Going to work or coming from work. It was two shots, man. He only got hit with one, like, that’s weird. And they were eight seconds apart, man. That’s weird.”

The suspect fled on foot northbound on 7th Avenue. No arrests have been announced and the investigation is ongoing.

NYPD shared, “Wanted for a Homicide: On Saturday, October 17, 2026, at approximately 12:21 PM, on the northbound E train platform of the 53rd Street–7th Avenue subway station in Manhattan, this individual shot and killed a man in his 30s. The individual then fled on foot, heading northbound on 7th Avenue.”

President Trump Mocks Heckler at Kentucky Rally – “Take Him Back Home to Mom” (VIDEO)

President Trump spoke at a midterm rally in Highland Heights, Kentucky, on Saturday to a very enthusiastic crowd of American patriots.

“A very special hello to Kentucky. I love Kentucky. So, I’m thrilled to be back in this beautiful commonwealth,” Trump said.

President Trump’s sense of humor was evident during a moment when a protester started yelling.

“Take him back home to mom,” Trump said.

“They are paid protestors. They get paid to do that. They pay him $250,” Trump said.

“Then they have to suffer because they go back home and the mother, especially if she is a Kentucky mother, she slaps the hell out of him!” Trump said.

President Trump told the crowd the importance of the 2026 midterm election.

“This is the most important midterm in the history of our country because we’ve gotten more things done and they can undo them if we start losing,” Trump said.

“Pretend I’m on the ballot. Go out and vote, You gotta do it,” Trump continued.
