Ada Akpala, a writer, YouTuber, broadcaster, and commentator, recently appeared as a panelist on the GB News show Patrick Christys Tonight.
In the clip, she discusses free speech in the UK, contrasting the treatment of criticism of Christianity versus Islam, referencing issues such as two-tier policing and the cultural/religious double standards that exist in the UK.
Akpala, “I currently live in a country that I can burn a Bible, I can spit on a Bible, I can stamp on a Bible, and I’ll go about my day.”
“If I burn a Quran, the law might not even be on my side, as we saw with the Turkish asylum seeker.”
“I live in a country today that I can say anything I want on this show right now about Jesus. None of you will attack me.”
“But if I said something about Muhammad, I’ll probably put myself, and even those here who are on screen with me, at risk.”
“I live in a country that I can shout ‘jihad’ on the streets and people will want to understand the cultural context.”
“Say ‘Save Our Kids’? What? We know what they’re on about. We know what they’re up to. Let’s put them on a watchlist.”
“I live in a country that I can stand on a pulpit in North London and say it’s ‘OK to beat your wife, just don’t leave any marks.’ People want to understand the cultural context of what you are talking about, the religious context of what you are talking about.”
“So I don’t think that they are exaggerating. And if you do, then what are you actually looking at when you’re looking around you?”
“So I think we absolutely need to take that seriously. We need to talk about it. But we can’t talk about these things.”
“The Muslim Greens have just put out a guidance on what’s Islamophobic. You can’t talk about the Quran. You can’t say Islam, you know, doesn’t like or mistreats gay people and things like that, when we have example after example of Muslim-majority countries doing exactly that.”
“I think we’re in trouble here, to be honest.”
At the conclusion of her remarks, the studio audience broke out in applause.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and members of her family may be completely cooked as more shocking details have come to light following Monday’s raid on her DC home.
On Friday night, NewsNation’s Leland Vittert dropped an equally big bombshell. He revealed that federal agents earlier this week literally went dumpster diving to collect DNA from Omar and her family members.
Vittert also said the federal investigation into Omar extends way beyond immigration and that the upcoming indictments will be “stunning.”
“Multiple sources have confirmed to me that federal agents went dumpster diving to get DNA from Ilhan Omar and her family before that blockbuster raid on her DC home earlier this week,” Vittert revealed Friday night.
“I’m told this investigation extends FAR beyond the most familiar case and accusation against Omar that she married her brother to gain citizenship or that she falsified her birth date to gain entry as a minor.”
“The investigation involves additional family members and will be part of a grand jury investigation that goes long past the general election,” Vittert continued.
“Sources tell me that the likely coming indictments will be stunning in nature and far beyond anything the public has understood the case to be about.”

Hoft Family 1966: Lynne, Tim, Bud, Sue, Becky, Dad, Mike, Mom, Chris, Joe and Jim
One of the great joys of my life was being born into a large, Catholic family from Iowa.
I grew up with my twin brother, Joe, my little brother, Mike, my older brother, Chris, and FIVE older siblings, including four who were in high school the year we were born.
Back then my father ran a meager business, and my mother stayed home and cooked, cleaned, read books, prayed, laughed, and taught us the most interesting things about our ancestors, our amazing country, how to be gracious and how to honor God. This was back when everyone loved their country.
My eldest sister Lynne left home for college when I was very young. I didn’t know her well then, but I loved seeing her. Like all of my older brothers and sisters, she was fun, funny, loving to her younger brothers, and full of life.
Later in life, when I was home for a summer from college, I had a ‘disagreement’ with my father. My sister Lynne surprisingly called home that afternoon and asked me when I was coming down to see her. I told her I could leave that day. So, for several days, I hitchhiked from northern Iowa to Tuba City, Arizona, to live with my sister and her husband that summer. I found a job at the Grand Canyon, and she let me use her car to get back and forth from my job to her home. She supported me when I was lost and needed someone to help lift me up.
I drifted some from my sister. She was a huge liberal and liked to lecture on leftist politics. In the early 2000’s I took care of my mother in her final years. Lynne would come home for a visit and rock my world for days while she was in town. My mother passed in 2008, and we all missed this wonderful, courageous woman.
Then a small miracle happened. Around 2015, Lynne and my sister Becky, lifelong Democrats, took a liking to Donald Trump. The more they learned the more they agreed. The more I listened to Donald Trump the more I let go of several previous beliefs on what it meant to be conservative and love your country. Around this time Lynne was suddenly a Trump supporter. It was fantastic! She was also helpful in advising my brothers and me. I became close with Lynne again. It was not just because of Trump but she became more supportive and loving to me. And I was more open. Thank God.
My older sister was proud of me.
This week, my sister Lynne passed away in southern Iowa. She moved there from Minnesota, and my sister set her up in a nursing home and would visit her often. She passed away in the night.
I wanted to share this today.
I hope and pray you have someone in your life who was as supportive, open, and loving as my sister Lynne was to me.
I now have six siblings left – five brothers and one sister. Thank you God for gifting me with a large, Catholic family from Iowa.
Iranian strikes on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz have surged recently, with four tankers coming under attack in the last day and around two dozen vessels reported hit in the last two weeks. This makes October the worst period for shipping since the opening weeks of the war.
Two ships were struck by projectiles on Friday, and two supertankers reportedly struck mines on Saturday. According to the official Iranian news agency IRNA, the IRGC Navy said Saturday that the Strait of Hormuz was “closed.”
Also on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said his country had transmitted to the U.S. government a plan to reopen the Strait. “Through Qatar, we have conveyed a concrete seven-day plan,” Araghchi said in remarks delivered at a regional forum in Iraq. “If the necessary conditions are met, the Strait can be reopened and normal maritime passage restored within seven days. The choice now rests with the United States.”
AAA reports that the average price of regular gasoline in the United States is $4.31 per gallon, and the average price of diesel is $6.33 per gallon.
Former Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt just put out a new video that is totally worth your time.
In the course of his rant, Pratt gets at the heart of the 2026 midterms. It is an issue that the United States has been grappling with for some time now. What kind of country do we want to be?
Do we want to honor the people who take risks and build things or the people who want to tear them down? Do we want to honor our history or agree with the people who never stop complaining about America as a supposedly bad place?
Do we want to honor people like Trump and Elon Musk or people like Ilhan Omar?
We are at a crossroads that touches our history, politics, and culture. Which path will we choose?
Spencer Pratt has fired back at Kacey Musgraves after the singer launched into a profanity-laced attack on Christopher Columbus during a concert in Dallas.
Pratt, on Tuesday, October 13, reposted a video featuring Musgraves’ remarks and responded with a blistering message aimed at people he believes are too quick to condemn historical figures.
Pratt took aim at what he sees as a generation that criticises the achievements of earlier figures while enjoying the benefits of what they built.
“An entire generation of spoiled brats who’ve never built anything, stand on the crumbling empire they don’t deserve, built by great and courageous men who are now judged through the moral lens of the softest dorks living in the easiest times. Oy vey,” he wrote on X.
His post followed Musgraves’ comments about Columbus, whose legacy has long divided Americans.
While his voyages across the Atlantic are associated with the beginning of sustained European expansion into the Americas, the explorer is also criticised for his treatment of Indigenous people and the colonial violence that followed.
Pratt’s rant covers so much more. Watch the whole thing below:

High-interest credit cards can make it ridiculously hard to get ahead.
Hassan Piker, the radical communist streamer who has been an inescapable presence in this midterm election cycle, is now slamming Jews for abandoning the Democrat Party.
This person is exactly who we thought he is and if he is wondering why Jews no longer feel safe in the Democrat Party, he should try looking into a mirror, or maybe consult his buddies Zohran Mamdani and Abdul El-Sayed.
The left has become the party of open Jew hatred and everyone can see it.
Jewish voters in New York appear to be moving away from the Democratic Party, and controversial Twitch streamer Hasan Piker blamed the shift on their support for Israel.
On Wednesday, Piker responded to a CNN clip in which the network’s chief data analyst, Harry Enten, and anchor John Berman discussed the drop in support for Democrats among Jewish voters, expressing dismay that they were shifting away from the party.
“It’s wild that this many jewish voters are leaving the democratic party over israel. It’s not like the republican alternatives are presenting a more appealing policy agenda, it’s just israel! It’s literally over the continuation of israel’s belligerence. A real shame,” Piker wrote on X.
In the segment, Enten explained that Jewish support for New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, a Democrat, dropped since her last election in 2022, according to recent Siena Polling. Enten then revealed that Democrats’ advantage over Republicans among Jewish voters in New York had narrowed by 36 points since 2022, according to Siena Polling averages.
“State of New York U.S. House polling among Jewish voters. Look at this. In 2018, Democrats were ahead by 40 points,” Enten said. “In 2022, 49 points. Look at this, the average of polls this year. Its just 13 points. It’s just 13 points. That is a shift of, what, 36 points, 36 points away from the Democrats. Their lead has absolutely tumbled into the Hudson River among Jewish voters.
“Yes, they are still ahead. But we are talking about historically strong numbers for Republicans among Jewish voters,” the analyst added.
The Democrat Party has joined forces with Islamism.
Who could blame Jewish people for fleeing to the Republican side? It makes perfect sense.
Minnesota GOP candidate Michelle Tafoya crushes Democrat nominee Peggy Flanagan in their debate on Friday. Credit: screenshot
One of the key figures in the largest fraud scandal in Minnesota history was taken to the woodshed in a critical Senate debate on Friday by her feisty Republican opponent.
As KARE 11 News reported, wacky DFL Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan and Republican Michele Tafoya faced off in their only scheduled debate on Friday in St. Paul. This comes as Flanagan holds a surprisingly small lead in the polls.
The two candidates attacked each other on a whole host of issues, including the war in Iran, immigration, fraud, health care, abortion, and the Supreme Court.
The moment of the debate, however, came when Flanagan was asked twice if she took responsibility for the massive Somali fraud scandal that happened on her watch.
According to a top prosecutor, the amount of fraud reached $9 billion. More than 90% of the people charged in the major fraud cases announced are of Somali descent.
Astoundingly, Flanagan not only claimed that Walz alone bore responsibility for the scandal but also took credit for several of his so-called ‘accomplishments.’
Tafoya quickly obliterated Flanagan’s response.
WATCH:
MUST WATCH: Peggy Flanagan had to be asked TWICE if she takes any responsibility over the fraud—and refused to do so.
Michele Tafoya absolutely destroys her response. https://t.co/o4eBJe3Gb0
MODERATOR: Do you have any ownership of the fraud that occurred over the last two terms of this administration?
FLANAGAN: The governor has been very clear that the buck stops with him. He’s the one who had oversight here.
I’ve led on issues like paid family and medical leave, national leading child tax credit, making sure that kids get breakfast and lunch at school…
TAFOYA: Listen, I am going to Washington to be an equal opportunity pain in the a** to any corrupt career politician…I note that my opponent here has mentioned Donald Trump’s name, I don’t know how many times, I’ve lost count.
Peggy, Donald Trump is not on the ballot; you and I are on the ballot. And only one of us let $9 billion walk out the door due to fraud.
To suggest that she is going to be a fraud czar all of a sudden, talk about changing tacks when it becomes politically expedient!
My goodness, she was second in charge in this state, and she’s just going to point her finger at Governor Tim Walz when she demanded it would be the Walz-Flanagan Administration? When she demanded to be in the room where everything happens?
But suddenly, she has nothing to do with this? My goodness, sell it to someone else.
This was not the only time Tafoya put Flanagan on the coals. Here’s what happened earlier in the debate after Flanagan whined about Minnesota losing access to publicly funded programs.
BREAKING: Michele Tafoya just destroyed Peggy Flanagan on Minnesotans losing access to programs.
“When she was second in command of this state… Minnesota saw billions, and billions, and billions of fraud dollars, walk out the door”
TAFOYA: It is rich to hear my opponent talk about lost access to programs when under her watch, Minnesota saw billions, and billions, and billions of fraud dollars walk out the door while Medicaid was gutted, while Feeding Our Future was gutted, while these programs for autistic kids were gutted.
And she’s talking about access? All of that money left the state…This historic fraud happened under her watch, and suddenly she’s looking out for Medicaid and SNAP?
More details are emerging from the fallout over Katie Zacharia’s ouster as White House Press Secretary, including that she was reportedly not President Trump’s first choice for the job.
As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson reported, Zacharia told Fox’s Peter Doocy that she was “transitioning out” of the new role after only five days on the job.
The New York Times claimed that Zacharia had been “fired,” but Zacharia confirmed to The Gateway Pundit that she had not been.
Zacharia previously came under fire after a very shaky performance at her first and only press briefing on Tuesday, during which she appeared quite nervous and consistently failed to make eye contact with reporters.
The news only grew worse when America learned that Zacharia had been passing herself off as an attorney and lawyer despite never having passed the bar exam, which is required to practice law in this country.
Now, Axios reports that Trump did not have Zacharia as his first choice for the role. Instead, he wanted to hire former Fox News host Maria Bartiromo but was turned down.
As TGP readers know, Bartiromo parted ways with Fox News after leaking internal texts to the White House showing that the network told staff to stop amplifying so-called ‘election conspiracies’ from Trump.
Before hiring Zacharia, Trump wanted to hire former Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, two administration sources said, but she signaled she was not going to take the job.
“She’s no longer on air, but she’s still on the Fox payroll & the taxpayers can’t compete with that,” said one source.
Axios noted that conservative CNN commentator Scott Jennings was in contention for the job before Trump ultimately offered it to Zacharia.
Other details revealed by the outlet include the fact that Trump was “blindsided” when he learned that Zacharia was not an attorney, as he had stated on Truth Social when announcing her hire.
Zacharia’s hiring was also a Trump decision alone, one furthered along with the strong input of his personal assistant, Natalie Harp.
Don’t expect a new hire anytime soon. Trump told Fox News’s Peter Doocy on Friday that he is in “no rush” to name a replacement for the press secretary.
Beijing seeks greater influence over global institutions to advance Chinese state interests at the expense of their international mandates. Photo courtesy of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in New York.
October 25 marks the 55th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China taking China’s seat at the United Nations. On that date in 1971, General Assembly Resolution 2758 transferred the seat from the Republic of China government in Taipei to Beijing. Beijing cites the resolution in support of its claim to Taiwan.
Chinese state media has linked the anniversary to Xi Jinping’s Global Governance Initiative (GGI), which calls for giving China and developing countries more say in international institutions. During UN meetings in September, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng presented the initiative as evidence of China’s commitment to the UN’s central role and described the anniversary as a new starting point for expanding China-UN cooperation.
China also plans to host a global governance forum this autumn in the Xiong’an New Area in Hebei to advance the initiative. Beijing’s record in the UN posts it already holds shows how it would use that greater influence.
In 2020, Chinese nationals headed four UN specialized agencies: the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and the UN Industrial Development Organization, according to the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission. Beijing’s candidate also sought to lead the World Intellectual Property Organization that year but lost to Singapore’s Daren Tang.
China’s Qu Dongyu won 168 of 182 votes for a second term as FAO director-general, running through July 2027. As of April 2026, another Chinese national, Li Junhua, headed the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs.
Chinese officials have used their UN positions to serve Beijing’s interests. Wu Hongbo, who led that department from 2012 to 2017, blocked Uyghur activist Dolkun Isa from attending a UN forum. He later told Chinese state television, “We have to strongly defend the motherland’s interests,” according to testimony before the commission. UN standards of conduct, however, state that international civil servants “should not seek nor should they accept instructions from any Government.”
Taiwan has been a frequent target. Under Secretary-General Fang Liu, ICAO stopped inviting Taiwan to its assembly. In January 2020, as COVID-19 spread, the agency blocked Twitter users who criticized Taiwan’s exclusion, including congressional staffers. The State Department called the practice “outrageous, unacceptable, and not befitting of a UN organization.”
At the ITU, Secretary-General Houlin Zhao aligned the agency with Beijing’s commercial agenda. During the 2017 Belt and Road Forum, the ITU signed an agreement with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to help participating countries build communications networks. In 2019, amid U.S. security concerns about Huawei, Zhao said, “So far, we have not come across any evidence pointing at security concerns of the equipment.”
Outside the UN system, Chinese nationals have also held international leadership posts while retaining positions in China’s government. Meng Hongwei remained China’s vice minister of public security while serving as Interpol president. In 2018, he disappeared during a trip to China, and Beijing announced he was under investigation for bribery. Interpol accepted his resignation halfway through his four-year term. In November 2025, Interpol elected Wang Yong as its vice president for Asia. Wang concurrently serves as political commissar of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security’s International Cooperation Bureau.
China can also secure results through votes. In August 2022, the UN human rights office reported that abuses against Uyghurs and other Muslim groups in Xinjiang may constitute crimes against humanity. On October 6, the UN Human Rights Council voted 19 to 17, with 11 abstentions, against even debating the report.
Beijing’s influence also extends to the World Health Organization. Taiwan attended the World Health Assembly as an observer from 2009 to 2016, until China blocked its participation after Taiwan’s 2016 presidential election. In May 2020, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus had “every legal power and precedent” to invite Taiwan but declined “under pressure from China.”
In his May 18, 2020, letter to Tedros, President Donald Trump cited “the World Health Organization’s alarming lack of independence from the People’s Republic of China.” Announcing on May 29 that the United States would terminate its relationship with the WHO, he noted that China paid $40 million annually, compared with roughly $450 million from the United States. Executive Order 14155, issued in January 2025, similarly stated that China had three times the U.S. population but contributed nearly 90 percent less.
The Global Governance Initiative calls for ending the dominance of a few countries over global governance. Yet Beijing’s record over 55 years at the UN shows how it uses its influence: to exclude Taiwan, shield Xinjiang from investigation, and advance Chinese commercial and security interests. Beijing appears to want to replace the dominance of “a few countries” with its own.
