Caitlin Clark is a phenomenon and sports fans know it.

On Wednesday night Clark broke more all-time records in NCAA women’s basketball in her team’s final Big Ten season road game, as her Hawkeyes blew out Minnesota 108-60.

The tickets for Clark’s final home game on Sunday, should she decide not to come back next year, are going for over $5,000.

ESPN writes:

Iowa Hawkeyes guard Caitlin Clark broke the NCAA women’s scoring record in early February — and looks to shatter another record by filling the seats of Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

On Sunday, the No. 6 Hawkeyes will go head-to-head with the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes for senior night. It’ll cost $408 to see the potential first-round WNBA draft pick in what could be her final regular-season home game in an Iowa jersey.

he most expensive listing for the game is at $5,199, according to Vivid Seats.

Tickets to see Clark’s matchup against the top-ranked Buckeyes have surpassed all women’s college basketball and WNBA games as the most expensive for a women’s game.

This comes after Clark set the scoring record against the Michigan Wolverines on Feb. 15, where tickets were $337. That price increased by 45% for the final home game.

Recently, the Big Ten sold out of tickets for the women’s basketball conference tournament, marking the first sellout in in nearly three decades of its existence.

lark is only 18 points away from passing “Pistol Pete” Maravich for the all-time scoring lead in NCAA basketball, men’s or women’s, and she is expected to surpass this mark on Sunday.

The former UCLA and Pro basketball great Bill Walton sees comparisons between Clark and Maravich.

Two days before Christmas 1969, Bill Walton first saw Pete Maravich in person.

A high school senior from San Diego headed to hoops immortality at UCLA, Walton watched at Pauley Pavilion as the LSU legend went through his pregame warmup drills.

“He was a genius,” Walton told ESPN. “And as is often the case with geniuses, they get bored very quickly. So he was constantly challenging himself. He was a showman, and he loved the show.”

Walton understands why people see similarities between Maravich and Iowa women’s college basketball star Caitlin Clark, who is closing in on passing Maravich for the Division I men’s and women’s scoring mark. Maravich scored 3,667 points from 1967-70; Clark is at 3,650. She enters Sunday’s regular-season finale at home against Ohio State just 18 points shy of breaking the record.

“When I watch her play, which is as often as possible, it just puts a giant smile on my face,” Walton said. “The beauty of basketball is that it’s not all about size and strength. It’s about skill, timing and position, and she has all of that stuff and more. She awes people with her imagination and creativity. She makes it fun.”

Maravich was born in 1947 and died at age 40 in 1988, 14 years before Clark was born. In that time, the world of basketball expanded enormously, including the modern-day women’s game. Maravich’s college career came before freshman eligibility, so he played just three seasons — 83 total games — at LSU. Before the 3-point shot and the shot clock, Maravich averaged 38.1 shots and 44.2 points per game. Clark, a senior, has averaged 19.9 shots and 28.3 points in 129 career games.

Walton said statistical comparisons between different eras in sports are problematic because of all the variables. But what players can mean to a sport, and how they make people feel while watching them are more comparable.

“Caitlin is one of those rare forces of nature that when she’s playing, you cannot take your eyes off her because she’s just moving in this graceful and productive manner,” Walton said. “She’s also a result of the evolutionary process from the late ’60s and early ’70s, when women started to be empowered to play competitive sports. A whole lot of foundational players have come before her.”

Good luck getting a ticket to Sunday’s final season game and most likely Clark’s final NCAA regular season game at Iowa.

Real Americas Voice correspondent Ben Bergquam is currently in the Darién Gap between Colombia and Panama, reporting on the international human smuggling operation coordinated by the cartels, globalists, and the Biden Regime.

The Biden Regime is now granting asylum to illegal immigrants in South America and flying them by plane into the United States to arrive “as refugees who have already met the requirements and will be legally allowed to live and work in the U.S.,” according to the Associated Press.

Bergquam shared a photo of a group he discovered on Tuesday night showing “over 50 men from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, and Nepal, all being smuggled in the middle of the night.”

This morning, Bergquam shared footage of another group with “over 60 single males from Africa, India and Pakistan heading our way.”

“This is just one of the countless numbers of groups in a constant flow to the United States,” said Bergquam:

So, imagine this in 100 different locations throughout the jungle right now. So, when the sun comes up, they get back in line, and they start making their way to their next overnight spot, all guided by the cartels.

The Gateway Pundit reported earlier that Bergquam and his partner, Oscar Ramirez, discovered “15-acre facilities” that the United States is using to process and smuggle these illegals into the United States before they even reach the border.

“The numbers at the border go down, but the numbers that are going into our country go up,” Bergquam said.

Bergquam also reported finding “UN condoms ” at the border of Colombia and Panama, likely used by cartel members to rape the small number of women and children who are traveling with the large groups of men. The Biden Regime and globalist organizations are helping these animals traffick and rape women on their journey into the US.

More used UN condoms on the top of the Mountain of Death, the border between Colombia and Panama on one of the routes through the Darien Gap.

Bergquam and Oscar Ramirez encountered another group of illegals from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and India, seemingly setting up camp for the night.

Ramirez explains that the illegals told him in Spanish that they paid $320 per person to get off the boat and be taken somewhere they could be smuggled into America, and it’s “all men!”

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, an illegal alien who traveled from Iran to Jacumba, California, recently warned Ben of the Islamic terrorism and other foreign adversaries that are coming through our southern border. “If I was governor here, I would be afraid,” the unidentified man said, noting that “all these people” coming across our borders are “military age.” The Iranian man added, “Islamists will come here, get the guns, get the C4 detonation, and kill people. They’re not good.”

As Bergquam notes in the video below, “The question isn’t if an attack is going to happen, it’s when an attack is going to happen.”

More than 50 lights coming down, and we were like, that’s a big group. This is the thing that worries me. It’s all men. All of them, they’re men. Clearly, they’re being smuggled by the [gangs] that operate in Colombia, and all of them are saying that they’re paying a package. I had an interview with a migrant from Venezuela saying that the packages where we were at: $320 per person to get them from the boat into a place that they can get smuggled.

For 50 years, conservatives have been complaining about the leftist capture of American higher education. It’s a real problem—trust me. Far less than a tenth of the faculty in most humanities and social sciences departments, as well as many professional schools and science fields, are conservatives. The syllabi and curricula are leftist ideology run wild. College campuses feel like Democratic Party summer camps. Students graduate without ever hearing the rational, evidence-based arguments of half our citizens. The odious Leninists of the faculty lounge tell them that Republicans are reactionaries and anti-intellectuals. 

I’ve done my share of complaining. Now, I am taking action. On February 29, Richard Corcoran, president of the New College of Florida, announced that I will be spending my sabbatical from my home institution in 2024–25 as Presidential Scholar at the college. It is the beginning of what I hope will be a long-term engagement.

While there have always been private institutions in the United States that offer intellectual diversity, New College is the first Reconquista of a publicly-funded venue. Since virtually every college and university in other Western countries is what we would call “public,” this has broader significance. Taking back power from the academic mullahs who have turned higher education in the West into little more than a madrassa system of leftist thought depends on storming the public institutions, not fleeing from them. My shield is raised and my visor is lowered.

Predictably, the establishment media and professors unions have been alarmed that the battlements have been breached at New College. They have thrown remarkable energy into repulsing the effort initiated by a democratically elected state government to hold a taxpayer funded institution accountable to the citizens (Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis won re-election in a landslide in 2022 by 59 percent to 40 percent against his Democratic opponent). 

DeSantis has rightly banned the apartheid systems known as “diversity, equity, and inclusion” from college campuses in Florida. This form of systemic racism has no place in a society founded on fundamental equality. He has also appointed a distinguished former Secretary of Education in Corcoran to overhaul the college. Cue the howls of academic freedom under assault.

It is ironic to hear critics complain that a once “progressive” institution has been brought under democratic control, as if the “progressive” ideology sedulously implanted at New College was natural and uncontroversial. 

It’s also odd for the intellectuals who guide our cultural institutions to claim to be defending democracy and “science” when their methods in higher education are so illiberal and so antagonistic to the free flow of ideas that defines science. One faculty member who left, neuroscientist Elizabeth Leininger (“she/her”), told Nature magazine in February that “science thrives if we make sure that everybody has a place in it, and that everyone feels like they can be a scientist.” Actually, she/her has it wrong. Science thrives when the most capable people are scientists and when facts, not feelings, drive the field. 

It is yet more obtuse to hear them speak of New College before the takeover as “excellent” or “successful.” The USA Today, in a typical emulsion, complained in January that an “excellent state liberal-arts university” had been handed over “to a bunch of right-wing goons so they could make it less diverse, less inclusive and more conservative.” In fact, in addition to being bankrupt, New College was an educational failure. In the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce college value-added rankings for 2022 based on data from 2019, it ranked a dismal 111th of the 218 institutions of higher education in Florida, hardly indicative of a high-performing “honors college” that it was supposed to be. Governor DeSantis’s description of New College as a “Marxist commune” was apt—an economic and social failure.

There is now what we might veritably refer to as “New College Derangement Syndrome” among our nation’s liberal establishment, which has resorted to nuisance litigation to block the will of the people of Florida. The dark money-funded NCF Freedom, for instance, has filed lawsuits alleging infringements of due process and freedoms, so far to no avail. Its public face is a former environmental studies lecturer at the college whose only academic work I could find was “a collection of stories about the cabbage palm.” He is aided by “a certified homeopath and psychotherapist” and an antiques dealer.

What will I do at New College? Rush in with a syllabus filled only with Great Conservatives and convince the students that Democrats and Greens are enemies of the people? If I did that, I would simply be replicating the problem. Much teaching, even in the social sciences, should be of a technical character that avoids ideology altogether. Where debates on values and ethics arise, my aim is always to help students understand the logic of different perspectives. 

But there is a broader mission. Education needs to be more than non-indoctrination. It should also be empowering. Today’s universities claim to “empower” students by telling them that they are victims, that they are nothing more than their skin color or sexuality, that the world is controlled by elites and their only option is street antics, that the planet is doomed. This is disempowerment. 

Students should instead leave college with a strong sense of individuality, personal responsibility, humility, and open-mindedness. I hope to help the New College to structure its programs with a laser focus on this character formation. 

One year and one person is not much. Yet if others take up the task at their institutions, we can hope that the New College of Florida is the proverbial beachhead that portends the defeat of the ugly menace that has darkened the face of learning for too long. All hail the Mighty Banyans who will stand tall for a brighter future!

A top Senate Republican is heading across the country this month to hit the campaign trail with conservative firebrand Kari Lake in Arizona, a state seen by many in the GOP as crucial to the party winning a majority in Congress’ upper chamber, as well as the White House, in November.

Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., who serves as chair of the Senate Republican conference, will join Lake in Phoenix on Feb. 29 for a number of campaign stops that will focus on the border crisis and the economic issues they say are plaguing Americans under the Biden administration.

“Kari Lake has put Arizona on the map for a Republican takeover in November. Kari Lake will bring Arizona hard work and no-nonsense to the U.S. Senate. I’m excited to campaign with her in Arizona,” Barrasso told Fox News Digital on Wednesday.

Kari Lake told The Gateway Pundit, “We are going to be talking about violent crime stemming from the Bidenvasion.”

This comes after the tragic murder of 22-year-old Laken Riley, a University of Georgia student, was murdered by a Venezuelan illegal last week.

According to an affidavit unsealed, the barbaric savage who murdered Laken Riley “disfigured her skull.”

These are the people that Joe Biden and the Democrats rolled out the red carpet for.

Lake is currently polling higher than her open-borders leftist opponents Ruben Gallego (D) and Kyrsten Sinema (I) in a three-way matchup in the latest poll from Rasmussen.

Western Journal reports,

The poll, conducted by Rasmussen Reports and the Bull Moose Project, found that Lakewas ahead in both a two- and a three-person race, depending on whether Sinema sticks out her campaign.

With three people in the race, Lake holds a 4-point lead over Gallego, 37 percent to 33 percent, with Sinema taking 21 percent of the vote.

If Sinema were to abandon what’s likely a lost-cause candidacy, things look only slightly better for Gallego, with Lake taking 45 percent and Gallego 42 percent, according to the poll.

In a two-person race, 8 percent said they were undecided and 4 percent they wouldn’t vote. In a three-person race, 7 percent say they were undecided and another 2 percent wouldn’t vote.

The latest poll from @Rasmussen_Poll shows that any way you slice it, with Sinema or without, I am beating @RubenGallego.

Lake previously vowed to secure Arizona’s southern border by declaring an invasion and using powers granted to the states in the Tenth Amendment to take back control from the federal government and finish the wall.

This is why the crooks in Maricopa County stole the election from her by shutting down 60% of voting machines across the county on Election Day when Republican in-person voters turned out for Kari Lake.

The press conference with Barrasso also comes after Mitch McConnell, 82, announced he will step down as the Senate Republican leader in November.

President Trump appealed Cook County Circuit Court Judge Tracie Porter’s ruling to remove him from the Illinois ballot.

Porter, a Democrat, barred Trump from the 2024 primary ballot under the 14th Amendment after she concluded he engaged in an insurrection.

The legal theories are based on Section 3 of the US Constitution’s 14th Amendment which states public officials who have “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against” the US may be disqualified from public office.

Trump has not been charged with engaging in insurrection or rebellion against the United States.

This case ended up in the Cook County court after the Illinois State Board of Elections last month unanimously voted they lacked the authority to bar Trump from the ballot.

Judge Porter stayed her order until Friday to allow Trump to file an appeal.

Trump’s lawyers also asked Judge Porter to extend the stay to her order until the appeals court makes a decision.

“Staying the judgment until the Illinois appellate courts finally decide this case would reduce the great risk of voter confusion and logistical difficulties for election officials,” Trump’s lawyers wrote in the filing, according to CNN.

President Trump is currently battling similar challenges in other states. Legal challenges have notably escalated in Maine and Colorado.

Last month President Trump asked the US Supreme Court to overturn the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to bar him from the 2024 ballot.

The Colorado Supreme Court last month disqualified Trump from the 2024 ballot.

The US Constitution has three requirements to be president:

Be a natural-born citizen of the United States.
Be at least 35 years old.
Have been a resident of the United States for 14 years.

The home of a top aide to New York City Mayor Eric Adams was raided by FBI agents Thursday morning.

FBI agents descended on the Bronx home of Winnie Greco, a top aide who is under investigation for using her position to benefit her improperly.

It is unclear if the FBI raid was related to the city’s Department of Investigation inquiry.

The New York Post reported:

FBI agents hit the Bronx home of a top aide to Mayor Eric Adams Thursday morning, a law enforcement source confirmed to The Post.

Agents were spotted at the Pelham Bay home of Winnie Greco, who is already under probe by the city Department of Investigation over allegations she improperly used her government position to get perks.

It wasn’t immediately clear if Thursday’s law enforcement action, first reported by News 12 Bronx, was connected to that investigation.

In November the FBI seized NYC Mayor Eric Adams’ cellphones and iPad amid a federal corruption investigation related to his 2021 campaign.

Some politicians are considering new security measures, such as sitting near the door on public transport and limits meetings with the public.

“After the Oct. 7 Hamas attack that sparked the war in Gaza, more than 10 British politicians spoken to by Reuters said the abuse directed at them had become more intense. At least one cited this as a factor in deciding not to seek a new term in parliament in an election later this year.

All spoke on condition of anonymity, saying they were fearful that giving their names would increase the threats and abuse.

The conflict in the Palestinian enclave has inflamed tensions across the globe, bringing protesters onto the streets in support of both sides and dividing opinion among leaders over how to end the bloodshed.”

Even seasoned politicians used to receiving abuse from the public fear the tone has worsened a lot, and could easily slip into violence.

Many are considering wearing ‘stab vests’ in meetings or even building safe rooms.

“Last week, parliamentary speaker Lindsay Hoyle sent parliament into chaos when he broke with precedent to allow the three main parties to set out their positions on a call for a ceasefire in Gaza. That was designed to prevent lawmakers from having to choose between backing a ceasefire, abstaining or voting against one to follow their party orders.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has called on all sides to ‘take the heat’ out of the issue but some of his Conservative lawmakers have been accused of Islamophobia in their responses. They deny the charge.”

$39 million will be spent in new security provisions for lawmakers and other officials.

Some lawmakers have decided to quit over intolerable threats.

“In comments that have concerned civil liberties groups, the prime minister also demanded a crackdown on protests outside parliament, political parties’ offices and town halls that may prevent use of a venue or ’cause alarm harassment or distress’.”

Ministers have criticized regular mass protests, which have escalated over the Israel-Gaza conflict, and disruptive tactics used by groups such as Just Stop Oil.

“Downing Street said ministers and senior police agreed to sign up to a new ‘democratic policing protocol’ that would see police treat demonstrations outside MPs homes as ‘intimidatory’, a minimum standard of police response to demonstrations against MPs and guidance for officers policing protests and other “democratic” events.

During the meeting Sunak told police chiefs they had to demonstrate they would use the powers they already have, saying it was ‘vital for maintaining public confidence in the police’.

In a stark assessment of the UK’s political processes, he added: ‘There is a growing consensus that mob rule is replacing democratic rule. And we’ve got to collectively, all of us, change that urgently. But we also need to demonstrate more broadly to the public that you will use the powers you already have, the laws that you have’.”
