Violent, pro-Hamas protests erupted at universities across the US on Wednesday after Columbia University was shut down and forced to go online due to pro-Palestinian riots.

Texas state troopers were deployed to the University of Texas at Austin on Wednesday and forcefully dispersed pro-Hamas protestors.

Texas isn’t messing around. They won’t allow what happened to Columbia University to happen in Texas.

The far-left Hamas supporters stormed the college campus calling for a ceasefire and for UT Austin to boycott businesses and divest from Israeli-based companies.

The Texas state troopers laid down the law and made arrests.

Newsweek reported:

Texas state troopers descended on a crowd of pro-Palestinian protesters at the University of Texas at Austin campus on Wednesday afternoon.

In an Instagram post, the Palestine Solidarity Committee, an organization “dedicated to organizing for Palestinian liberation and right to return,” with a location in Austin, posted its plans to establish “the Popular University” at the UT Austin campus on Wednesday.

According to the post, supporters were going to “reclaim our space” by walking out of class at 11:40 a.m. and meeting at Gregory Plaza. Students were instructed to then march to occupy the lawn. They were told to bring blankets, food, face masks and energy.

The demonstration’s aim was to urge UT Austin to “divest from death” and follows similar protests that have occurred at Columbia University in New York City. More than 100 pro-Palestinian student demonstrators have camped out on Columbia’s main lawn to protest the war and demand that their school divest from companies with ties to Israel.

Cal Poly Humboldt in Arcata, California, has closed its campus through Wednesday after pro-Palestinian protesters occupied and barricaded themselves inside Siemens Hall Monday evening, where students also attacked police officers.

Humboldt for Palestine shared their “demands” on Instagram:

Breaking! Cal Poly Humboldt students have taken Siemens Hall in solidarity with students across the nation occupying campuses for Palestine. Their demands as we understand them are as follows:
1. For CPH to disclose all holdings and collaborations with the zionist entity.
2. Academic Boycott, cut all ties with israeli universities.
3. Divest from all ties to the zionist entity including companies complicit in the occupation of Palestine.
4. To drop all charges and attacks on student organizers.
5. An immediate ceasefire and end to the occupation of Palestine. Students are requesting support as follows: Bodies to join them in the occupation of Siemens hall.

Students, faculty, and community members to immediately call the university and UPD and pressure them to deescalate, allow the students to protest peacefully. You can contact UPD at 707-826-5555 and demand these students are allowed to express their first amendment rights!

Ultimately, the building was shut down after they did not leave, Aileen Yoo, a university spokesperson, told SFGATE.

The Biden campaign will continue using TikTok even though the president has signed the bill to ban it or force its sale.

Former President Donald Trump has blasted Biden for the legislation, which cleared the House over the weekend as part of the roughly $90 billion foreign aid package for Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan.

“Just so everyone knows, especially the young people, Crooked Joe Biden is responsible for banning TikTok,” Trump wrote.

The Republican nominee said that Biden is the one pushing for the ban in order to “help his friends over at Facebook become richer and more dominant.”

“He is the one pushing it to close, and doing it to help his friends over at Facebook become richer and more dominant, and able to continue to fight, perhaps illegally, the Republican Party,” Trump continued.

Trump also asserted that the TikTok ban is “ELECTION INTERFERENCE.”

“It’s called ELECTION INTERFERENCE!” Trump exclaimed. “Young people, and lots of others, must remember this on November 5th, ELECTION DAY, when they vote! They also must remember, more importantly, that he is destroying our Country, and is A MAJOR THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!”

On Wednesday, the Biden-Harris campaign told Fox News that it would stay on the video-sharing platform.

The legislation, signed by Biden on Wednesday morning, gives TikTok’s parent company ByteDance, which is based in China, nine months to sell or be banned in the United States.

Lawmakers said that the app is a risk to U.S. national security.

TikTok has argued the law is “unconstitutional.”

“This unconstitutional law is a TikTok ban, and we will challenge it in court,” the social media platform said in a statement. “We believe the facts and the law are clearly on our side, and we will ultimately prevail.”

The statement added that TikTok has “invested billions of dollars to keep U.S. data safe and our platform free from outside influence and manipulation.”

“This ban would devastate seven million businesses and silence 170 million Americans,” the company continued. “As we continue to challenge this unconstitutional ban, we will continue investing and innovating to ensure TikTok remains a space where Americans of all walks of life can safely come to share their experiences, find joy, and be inspired.”

There’s no question LeBron James is the biggest name in NBA play today.

He’s regularly compared with Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan as one of the greatest of all time. His basketball career has made him a billionaire.

But after the Los Angeles Lakers’ playoff loss in Denver on Monday night, he showed he’s one of the biggest crybabies in the league, too.

In his postgame news conference, as ESPN reported, James griped about a foul call that was overturned during the game and implicitly questioned the integrity of the officials in charge of reviewing calls on the court.

“I don’t understand what’s going on in the replay center, to be honest,” he said.

“What the f*** do we have a replay center if it’s gonna go … It doesn’t make sense to me,” the NBA star said.

According to ESPN, James added, “It’s f***ing stupid,” as he got up and left the room.

James has made news for public complaints about officiating before, but his behavior after the Nuggets’ Jamal Murray dropped a thrilling, buzzer-beating bucket to seal Denver’s win Monday bordered on bizarre.

He not only complained during his postgame news conference, but he also pursued a referee immediately after the game, arrogantly demanding an explanation for why he didn’t get a call when he thought he was fouled earlier in the game.

“Why didn’t you call that s***?” James said, according to the LegendZ account on X.

It’s a moot question at this point whether James was correct in either of his complaints. Anyone who has played sports or watched them only casually understands that bad calls are as much a part of a game as great athletes. Referees are human — just like coaches, fans and even billionaire hulking giants who cry wolf about “racism” while raking in money from Chinese slavery.

Mistakes happen. Adults understand that, even if they get frustrated by it.

But adults also understand that a game needs to be won over all obstacles — and adults like James, who is pushing 40 after spending two decades playing professionally, are paid ridiculous sums of money to not only understand it but to overcome it.

Instead, James, a lightning rod for criticism under the best of circumstances, violated one of the cardinal rules of sports and sportsmanship that many children learn from their first coaches — “Don’t blame the refs.”

It was particularly egregious in James’ case on Monday since, as ESPN reported, his team at one point had a 20-point lead in the contest. An NBA playoff team that squanders a 20-point lead doesn’t deserve to win. It doesn’t deserve so much as a tie.

And the star of that team has no business blaming a loss on a call or two from officials on the floor — indulging in a vulgar temper tantrum that only tarnished his image and embarrassed the game.

No matter how big his name is.
