Unhinged Man Randomly Sucker Punches 9-Year-Old Girl in the Face in NYC Grand Central Terminal (VIDEO)

A nine-year-old girl became the victim of an unprovoked attack in the heart of New York City’s Grand Central Terminal.

The assailant, identified as 30-year-old Jose Carlos Zarzuela, was apprehended following the attack that occurred in the terminal’s bustling dining area.

According to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Police Department, Zarzuela, a recently released offender with a history of similar violent behavior, approached the young girl as she was standing near her mother and punched her in the face without any warning, amNY reported.

The impact of the assault caused the girl to suffer from pain and dizziness, necessitating her transportation to NYU Langone-Tisch Hospital. Thankfully, she is expected to recover fully from her injuries.

MTA Communications Director Tim Minton expressed outrage over the incident to amNY, questioning the recent release of Zarzuela, who had been charged with another random attack that resulted in a broken nose for the victim.

“It doesn’t make any sense that this guy — who recently was released after being charged with randomly punching someone else and breaking that victim’s nose — should be back in a public space where he can attack others, especially children,” Minton said.

“The people responsible for the criminal justice system need to learn from this episode before more innocent people become victims.”

After assaulting the girl, Zarzuela fled the scene but was later located and arrested in the evening. Surveillance footage from the terminal captured Zarzuela meandering near a Shake Shack before running onto the street post-attack.

Zarzuela has been charged with an array of offenses, including aggravated assault of a victim under 11, second-degree assault, third-degree assault, and attempted assault. His history with the law extends to eight other arrests, as indicated by sources close to the investigation.

This latest incident follows an assault by Zarzuela on April 4, where he attacked a 54-year-old woman at Grand Central Terminal, resulting in a broken nose. Despite being initially charged with second-degree felony assault, his charge was reduced to third-degree misdemeanor assault, and after initially setting bail at 10,000, which was reduced to 2,500, Judge Laurie Peterson ordered his release without bail days later.

More from amNY:

In that incident, MTA Police sources said, Zarzuela allegedly punched the victim in the face without provocation or warning, breaking her nose. MTA Police officers arrested him on the spot and booked him on a second-degree felony assault charge.

But that charge was downgraded to a third-degree misdemeanor assault count when Zarzuela appeared in New York County Criminal Court for arraignment later that day, according to court records. Prosecutors had requested that he remain behind bars on $10,000 bail; sources said that bail had been reduced to $2,500, which Zarzuela could not make.

However, five days later at a follow-up hearing, Judge Laurie Peterson ordered Zarzuela released from custody without bail, court records noted.

Peterson, who had ordered former Trump Organization executive Allen Weisselberg to serve a five-month sentence for perjury last week in connection with the former president’s civil fraud trial, gained notoriety in 2020 when she set free an individual accused of a bloody attack on a police officer amid the George Floyd protests that summer.

Biological Male Athlete Smokes Female Competitors in 200-Meter Race — Same Time Would Have Placed Him 61st in Boys Category (VIDEO)

A transgender athlete, Aayden Gallagher, from McDaniel High School, smoked female competitors at the Sherwood Need For Speed Invitational on Saturday.

Gallagher, who is in the 10th grade and identifies as transgender woman, competed in the girls’ track and field events, participating in the 200-meter, 400-meter, and 4×100-meter relay races.

In the 200-meter race, Gallagher secured a first-place finish in the heat with a time of 25.49 seconds, smoking the nearest competitor by more than five seconds.

This performance earned Gallagher a second-place finish overall in the girls’ 200-meter event, with the top spot going to Aster Jones from Roosevelt High School, who finished with a time of 24.43 seconds.

According to Red State, Gallagher’s time would have placed 61st in the boys’ 200-meter race at the same meet.

Gallagher also competed in the girls’ 400-meter race, finishing second with a time of 55.61 seconds—a time that would have ranked 57th in the boys’ category.

Gallagher was part of the McDaniel High School team that took seventh place in the girls’ 100-meter relay with a time of 50.81 seconds.

One concerned parent, whose daughter also competed at the event, expressed distress over the implications for female athletes. “He will beat all of the girls, (except maybe 1) break records and be called a hero — for being a male who races against the girls and wins,” the parent commented.

The parent further suggested the introduction of a third, non-specific sex category in sports competitions to preserve the integrity of female athletics.

The controversy has also caught the attention of notable figures such as University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines, who didn’t mince words in her criticism.

“Let’s call this what it is: encouraged AND celebrated cheating at the hands of the “adults” in the room. So many fingers to point, but shame on the parents, the schools, the boy, our weak administration, and Ossa Sports,” Gaines wrote.

Similarly, Dr. Naomi Wolf, an influential feminist author, weighed in on the developing situation highlighting the broader implications.

“This issue of biological boys competing against girls (whipped up by outsiders, I am sure) is not about targeting gender alone. It is also about targeting American kids’ belief in rules and meritocracy,” Wolf wrote.

Louisiana House Passes Bill That Requires All Schools Receiving State Funds To Display 10 Commandments Inside Classrooms

The Louisiana House of Representatives has passed Bill 71, which requires all schools that receive state funding to display the Ten Commandments.

Bill 71, introduced by Rep. Dodie Horton (R), passed 82-19 and will now be voted on by Louisiana’s Senate.

The bill states,” Each public school governing authority and the governing authority of each nonpublic school that receives state funds shall display the Ten Commandments in each building it uses and classroom in each school under its jurisdiction.”

Bill 71 calls for all K-12 schools and colleges receiving state funding to display the Ten Commandments.

The Ten Commandments must also be framed and have minimum dimensions of eleven inches by fourteen inches.

BREAKING: Louisiana House has passed a bill to require classrooms that receive state funding to display the 10 Commandments.

— Leading Report (@LeadingReport) April 14, 2024

Per KSLA:

Most Louisiana classrooms would be required to display the 10 Commandments under a measure now making its way through the state Legislature.

The Louisiana House of Representatives approved the measure 82-19 and sent it on to the Senate for consideration.

If approved as written, House Bill 71 would apply to K-12 schools that are public or charter plus any non-public schools that receive state funds. The bill also would apply to public and non-public colleges. And there would have to be displays in in each building it uses.

State Rep. Dodie Horton, of Haughton, is among the lawmakers who are bringing forward House Bill 71.

That would be awesome! https://t.co/PJNcmfrDiI

Leo Hohmann: Godfather of AI Says ‘Battle robots’ Will Soon Dominate War-Making Abilities of Major Nations, Posing ‘Existential Threat’

This article originally appeared on Leo Hohmann’s Substack and was republished with permission.

Former Google engineer Geoffrey Hinton warns of ‘very nasty things’ now that AI is being relied on to make battlefield decisions.

The world could experience multiple untold disasters before the use of Artificial Intelligence weapons comes under proper regulation, according to award-winning scientist and tech pioneer Geoffrey Hinton, who is known in tech circles as the Godfather of AI.

Hinton says AI is becoming much more intelligent than people and could soon take over the battlefield. With wars breaking out all over the world, in Ukraine, the Middle East, and potentially the Far East, this is a major concern for humanity.

There has already been speculation that the recent death of aid workers in Israel could have resulted from an AI-powered military decision that would not have been made if actual people had full control of the battlefield strategy.

RT.com reports that Hinton, the former Google engineer who quit the company last year, compared the use of AI for military purposes to chemical weapons deployment – warning that “very nasty things” will occur before the global community arrives at a comprehensive agreement comparable to the Geneva Conventions.

“The threat I spoke out about is the existential threat,” Hinton told Irish broadcaster RTE News on Tuesday, emphasizing that “these things will get much more intelligent than us and they will take over.”

The computer scientist highlighted the impact of AI on disinformation and job displacement, and also on weapons of the future.

“One of the threats is ‘battle robots’ which will make it much easier for rich countries to wage war on smaller, poorer countries and they are going to be very nasty and I think they are inevitably coming,” Hinton warned.

He urged governments to put pressure on tech majors, especially in California, to conduct in-depth research on the safety of AI technology.

“Rather than it being an afterthought, there should be government incentives to ensure companies put a lot of work into safety and some of that is happening now,” Hinton said.

He underscored huge benefits that AI can bring to humanity, particularly in healthcare, adding that he does not regret any of his contributions to the technology.

Of course, one of the “benefits” of AI in healthcare is the ability to rapidly develop genetically modifying “vaccines,” using synthetic mRNA, so even this so-called benefit Hinton refers to is a fraud.

RT goes on to note that “Despite the mounting interest in AI, several high-profile figures in the tech industry have warned of the potential dangers posed by the unregulated adoption of the technology. Hinton has waged a media campaign to warn of the risks. Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and Yoshua Bengio, who is considered an AI pioneer for his work on neural networks, were among the top industry figures to co-sign a letter last year calling for aggressive regulation of the AI sector.”

A paper was published by the U.S. Army War College in 2020 stating that current military research supports the emergence and synchronization of AI and robotics.

So the guys who created AI are now warning of its risks. How rich. They create the beast, then fear-monger the public into believing this beast could take over the world, setting the stage for the beast’s creators to offer an even more frightening solution — total regulation of all information and all human behavior. Classic Hegelianism.

Another Hollywood Actor Suffers TDS: Alan Ritchson Attacks Christians Who Support “Rapist” and “Con Man” Trump — “He’s Their Poster Child”

Screenshot: Reacher/Amazon Prime

Alan Ritchson, known for his role as the lead character in Amazon Prime Video’s action-thriller series “Reacher,” has unleashed a barrage of criticisms against President Donald Trump.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor delivered a scathing critique against President Trump, calling him “a rapist” and “a con man.”

The actor, a self-proclaimed Christian, expressed his bewilderment at the Christian church’s embrace of Trump, whom he views as fundamentally antithetical to Christian teachings.

“Trump is a rapist and a con man, and yet the entire Christian church seems to treat him like he’s their poster child and it’s unreal. I don’t understand it,” Ritchson said.

“I’m a Christian quite simply because of what Jesus calls us to do. Love other people until death. It doesn’t mean we’re all to be hung on a cross, but how can I suffer for you? That is a beautiful thing.”

“Christians today have become the most vitriolic tribe. It is so antithetical to what Jesus was calling us to be and to do,” he added.

“It’s worth saying that the atrocities that are happening in the church that are being actively covered up, even to this day with people not being held accountable, is repulsive,” he said, adding, “I can’t for one second support the Catholic Church while there are still cardinals, bishops and priests being passed around with known pedophilic tendencies.”

The interview turned to a 2020 Instagram post, showing the cop-hating liberal actor wearing a t-shirt with the message “Arrest the cops who killed Breonna Taylor.”

Worshiping with the Christian Insurgents in Myanmar

Karenni Catholic Church inside the war zone in Burma/Myanmar, photo by Antonio Graceffo

Antonio Graceffo reporting from inside the war zone in Burma/Myanmar.

On Easter Sunday, the Burmese army launched an airstrike against a monastery in Karen State, where an entire village had taken refuge. The bombs fell for hours, and when the smoke had cleared, numerous civilians, including women, children, and monks, were dead.

There were no soldiers in the village, so 100% of the casualties were civilians. About half of them were Christians.

Burma is predominantly Buddhist, with a significant Christian minority comprising approximately 6% of the population. Many of these Christians belong to the country’s 135 ethnic minority groups, notably including the Kachin, Chin, Karen (also known as Kayin, as featured in the movie “Rambo IV”), and the Karenni (distinct from the Karen, despite the similarity in name).

The repression against Christians and the wholesale murder of civilians have been features of the Burmese civil war, which has been ongoing for about 70 years. However, targeted attacks against churches, monasteries, Catholic, and Baptist schools have intensified since the 2021 coup, which dashed any hopes of a transition to democracy.

Previously, I had worked with the Shan ethnic group and resistance fighters. However, recently, I decided that I wanted to focus my energy on the Christian minority in Karenni State (also called Kayah State), the smallest ethnic state in Burma.

About 50% of Karenni are Christian, with the majority being Catholic and the rest Baptist. Over the past three years, roughly 80% of the Karenni people have been displaced, and 3,000 civilians have been killed, from a total Karenni population of less than 400,000 people.

Catholic priests and nuns assigned to dioceses in Burma have risked their lives to remain with their flocks, offering what help and protection they could. In November, 1,300 civilians, including Christians, Buddhists, and animists, took refuge in Christ the King Catholic Cathedral complex in Loikaw, the capital city of Karenni State.

These people were internally displaced individuals (IDPs), meaning that the Burmese army had already destroyed their villages, and they had found their way to the Cathedral, where the priests and nuns were offering them refuge.

The Burmese army threatened to bomb the complex, but the priests implored the soldiers not to attack and to allow the people, who included the aged and the infirm, to remain in safety.

However, eventually, the Burmese army attacked, using heavy weapons, fighter jets, armored vehicles, and 120 mm cannons. Many people were killed, while the rest were forced to flee into the jungle, including the Bishop of Loikaw, H.E. Celso Ba Shwe, and the priests and nuns, who were finally forced to abandon their post. After the people fled, the Burmese army took over the center and are now occupying it.

Loikaw is the site of the most intense fighting in Karenni State. According to Lt. Colonel Mei Reh, a battalion commander in the Karenni Army, the Burmese junta has laid hundreds of landmines around their positions and uses drone jammers to protect themselves from the resistance fighters.

He estimated that counting soldiers, dependents, and support personnel, Loikaw is now occupied by about 10,000 Burmese who receive resupply by air. They are also protected by helicopters and jets.

The rebels, by contrast, are on foot, carrying what small arms and rations they have, walking for weeks in some cases to reach the front lines and fight to retake their country.

When I am inside Burma, I meet with internally displaced people and soldiers, filing reports on the war. I also pray with anyone who is willing, and the reception among the Karenni is astounding. Nearly everyone I meet wants to pray together.

Over the years that I have been reporting on this conflict, I have been inspired by David Eubanks, leader of the Free Burma Rangers. The lesson that I learned from him and from his faith as a missionary/soldier is to pray not for victory, but to pray that the hearts of the Burmese army will be changed by God’s grace and that they will stop fighting.

He teaches that Christian soldiers should pray for peace and an end to the conflict, and when they kill, to kill for love. They must remember that they kill to protect their people, their land, and their country, but not out of hate.

Amazingly, when I met Catholic soldiers, including a company commander, this is what they prayed for: to kill with love and to stop killing as soon as they could find peace and establish a democracy in their country.

The Free Burma Rangers have been spreading that message in Burma for more than 20 years, among all of the ethnic resistance armies. And now that I am working with Karenni Christians, I can say the message is getting through.

The United States is one of the few countries to ever win independence and establish a democracy by way of a bloody war. Usually, after a revolution, warlords and generals replace the previous dictator, and nothing changes.

Instilling ideals of love, compassion, and forgiveness in the soldiers and officers now will hopefully help to heal the country when the war ends, so they can avoid retribution killings and animosity that would result in a fractured state.

People back in the US ask, “How can you be a Christian and a soldier?” and the answer is, “to kill with love.” They ask me, “How can you support Burmese refugees but demand a secure southern border?”

And my answer is, the Karenni and other ethnics are not requesting to be resettled in the US or some Western country. They just want safety from the war now, and they want the war to be over so they can go home and resume their lives in their own land.

The Catholic Church in the camp where I was located had been hit by an airstrike a few months ago, so the people were afraid to go to worship there. However, the Catholic Karenni women told me that during Lent, they held prayer services in their huts every day.

On Good Friday, they decided to risk using the church building, and for the first time, they held service there. The priest could not make it to the camp because of the fighting, but two Karenni catechists trained at the seminary in Karenni State led the worship.

They did the same on Easter Sunday. These people could easily have lost their faith, being displaced by war and losing their families and their homes, but they trusted that God had a plan, and they would eventually return to their homeland in peace. Their faith should be an inspiration for all the people in wealthy countries at peace.

After the Catholic service, I attended the Baptist service on the other side of the camp. Although I am Catholic and love attending Mass, I have to admit, the Baptist service is more fun and has more singing and guitar playing.

The pastor asked me to address the congregation, and I reminded them of David and Goliath. Although the people of Burma are small and weak in comparison to the Burmese army, which is armed by Russia and China, the people have faith, and since the coup, they also have unity. As David Eubanks told me, “The army is stronger than the people. But it is not stronger than ALL the people if they work together.”

On the day before Easter, I was staying in a hut with the soldiers when a batch of new recruits arrived, and they just looked so young to me. I was 17 when I joined the military, but as we get older, young people look like children to us.

On Easter Sunday, looking out at the congregation, I saw so many bright young kids who were just about military age, many of whom would soon be joining the fight. It made me sad that they would never have a prom, never get a driver’s license, never have a part-time job at Wendy’s, and some of them would be killed, and soon.

Karenni Army recruits, photo by Antonio Graceffo

After the Baptist service, I was walking back to the house with the soldiers, feeling I had been given an amazing blessing to have spent this most crucial religious holiday with these wonderful and resilient people. I had found a moment of happiness in war and hoped to write an inspiring article about faith and happy endings.

When I reached the house and got a cell signal, I began receiving live feeds from the Free Burma Rangers, documenting the Easter massacre of the civilians at the monastery in Karen State. David Eubanks sent a message saying that in addition to the other casualties, the head monk’s body had been torn in half.

And just like that, I had no idea how I was going to end my story. What was I meant to take away from this experience?

The words of Htay Ree, the 25-year-old assistant pastor at the Baptist church, came to mind. He said, “God is love. God is for our spiritual health, not our physical being. We can get sick or even be killed.

God only guarantees our spiritual life; if we believe in Jesus, we can get eternal life.” He went on to say that God never said it would be easy. “But people who blame God for their physical suffering just do not understand. And this is an opportunity to teach. So, for me, it is not a problem,” he concluded.

Karenni Catholic cross damaged by bomb blast, photo by Antonio Graceffo

The people of Burma have lost everything — their homes, their freedom, their money, their food, their loved ones — and some even lose their faith. But the assistant preacher didn’t see any of that as a problem, just an opportunity to teach. And now I can pass that lesson along to the readers.

“I Was Afraid For My Life” – 81-Year-Old Vietnam Veteran Sucker-Punched by Teens Before They Stole and Crashed His Car

A Vietnam veteran was sucker-punched by teens before they stole his 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe and crashed it after a short chase with police.

81-year-old Ernie Aimone was out delivering pizzas in the Jefferson Park neighborhood in Chicago last Wednesday night when a pack of teens ambushed him.

“They said, ‘Give me the keys’ and sucker-punched me from behind, hit me in the face. I was afraid for my life,” Ernie Aimone said to ABC 7 Chicago. “I got a daughter and a son. I gotta live for them.”

He said that he didn’t fight back. He lay face down in the street as the teens took off with his cell phone and car.

Several hours later, police spotted Ernie’s Hyundai on the expressway. The suspect crashed the Hyundai after a short case.

Ernie was been a pizza delivery driver for Joe’s on Higgins for the last 40 years and most of the customers ask for him to deliver their pies.

Ernie Aimone is a celebrity in the community. Everyone loves him and describes him as “family.”

A GoFundMe was set up to pay for car repairs or to buy a new car so Ernie can resume delivering pizzas.

“While he’s become a bit of a local legend, he has fallen on hard times as of late. Just a few nights ago, Ernie was carjacked by multiple individuals, who stole his phone, took his car for a joyride, and left the vehicle extremely damaged.” the GoFundMe, which was set up by the Gladstone Park Chamber of Commerce said.

Only one teen has been arrested so far.

Teen Who Cracked Skull of Elderly Woman on Church Steps Has Long Rap Sheet – Arrested and Released 9 Times in Last 8 Months

The 16-year-old who was arrested and charged with robbery and assault for an attack on an elderly woman on church steps in Queens, New York has a long rap sheet.

Imagine our shock.

The violent attack happened last Sunday on the steps of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Queens.

The thief took off with a cellphone, credit cards and $300 in cash. He fled in a 2006 Nissan Altima, police said.

The teen suspect is being arraigned as an adult but law enforcement is still not identifying him because of his age.

“Despite being arraigned as an adult, the Queens District Attorneys Office says they will not be identifying the 16-year-old because of his age.” WABC reported.

The suspect has been arrested and released NINE TIMES in the last 8 months.

“He has been arrested nine times in Queens as an adolescent offender since August 2023. Eight of those arrests involved robberies and the ninth was criminal possession of stolen property.” WABC reported.

Irene Tahliambouris

According to a GoFundMe set up by family, 68-year-old Irene Tahliambouris is “fighting for her life” after she was violently shoved down church steps and robbed by a black male last Sunday.

“She suffered a fractured skull and a black eye, according to her family, and as she writhed in pain, the suspect allegedly stole $300, her cellphone and her car before fleeing the scene outside St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Queens, New York, on Sunday.” Fox News reported.

“We are devastated to even imagine the pain she is experiencing after being knocked off the stairs of the church, hitting the back of her head on the concrete while this vicious person, with no consideration for life, attacked her and took all her belongings and her car,” her family said in a statement.
