President Donald Trump is back in court today for Alvin Bragg’s show trial in New York City.

The prosecution has yet to define the alleged criminal act that President Trump committed.

Former Trump Attorney and serial liar Michael Cohen will be grilled by the defense today after his questionable testimony earlier this week.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, on Monday, Trump was accompanied in court by North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), Rep. Cory Millis (R-FL), former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, and turncoat Speaker Mike Johnson, the worthless GOP House House leader who sides with Democrats and neglects his voting base on every issue possible.

Donalds, Mills, and Ramaswamy spoke to the press during the trial to condemn the weaponization of justice against Donald Trump and the testimony of convicted perjurer Michael Cohen.

Matt Gaetz and Anna Paulina Luna both gave fiery speeches condemning convicted perjurer Michael Cohen and the corrupt leftwing Judge’s family, who is paid by Democrats, earlier during the show trial today.

The Gateway Pundit reported on Wednesday that Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY) launched an all-out attack against Democrat Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) in a Judiciary Committee Hearing for not only preparing liar Michael Cohen for his testimony but also having Merchan’s daughter’s consulting firm on his campaign’s payroll and giving her over $150,000 as her father oversees a sham election interference trial against the Democratic Party’s top political rival, Donald J. Trump.

Gaetz: There is literally no branch of government that Michael Cohen has not lied to. He lied to investigators, he lied to the judge who sentenced him, he lied to the United States Congress, and he committed these lies for his own benefit. And while we’re talking about what we saw in that courtroom going on for people’s own benefit, we would be remiss if we did not mention this corrupt judge, this judge whose own family is making six figures off of Democrat politics and continues to gaslight the country that there’s some sort of crime committed by President Trump.

This is a made-up crime. No other American in the country would be charged with this type of crime. It’s like the Mr. Potato Head doll of crimes, where they had to stick together a bunch of things that did not belong together. Observing the jury, I could see that there was a great appreciation for the liar that Michael Cohen was, and we are not getting a fair shake in front of this judge. The prosecutors don’t even have to seek a basis for their objections. He’s agreeing with the prosecutors without even hearing the argument on these objections. And there should be evidence getting in about the depth and breadth of Michael Cohen’s lies that we’re not seeing entered into it. And so we’re here voluntarily supporting our friend, President Trump, the leader of our movement, the leader of our party, and soon again, the leader of this great country.

Luna: I also want to point out that they’re telling people that they can’t have cameras in the courtroom, but if they have nothing to hide, and if they’re truly being honest about this, why is it that you guys can’t be in the courtroom and see exactly what we’re seeing? Just because we’re members of Congress does not mean we have authority more than you guys to know exactly what’s happening in that courtroom. So, just an update: the President is doing well; he’s in good spirits. We’re here today because we know that this is nonsense and should not be happening in the United States of America.

Furthermore, to Cohen, who admitted to lying to members of Congress, that’s contempt of Congress just so that you are tracking, and I want to follow it up by saying this: It is by no coincidence that you have Goldman, a member of House Oversight, who’s a Democrat and prepared Cohen for his testimony, is also retained by the Judges daughter as a client. Does that seem like it’s not a sham to you? It is corrupt lawfare. It’s the Biden prosecutions, and Biden you’re gonna lose this election cycle.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is in Beijing this week, spending two days meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping.

In Putin’s first trip abroad since his reelection in March, Moscow and Beijing reaffirmed their commitment to tightening the two Eurasian power’s relationship. In early 2022, just before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Russia and China entered into a “no limits” partnership.

“Our cooperation in world affairs today is one of the main stabilizing factors in the international arena,” Putin claimed. “Together we uphold the principles of justice and a democratic world order reflecting the multipolar realities founded in international law.”

Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Xi’s China has more or less successfully walked a tricky tightrope. While Russia is more focused on short term objectives in the war, China is concentrated on the long term goal of supplanting U.S. dominated diplomatic and financial systems with its own. 

Therefore, while China has a “no limits” partnership with Russia that includes various security priorities, China has not been overly supportive of Russia’s invasion and constantly offered itself as a mediator to bring the conflict to a close. China even submitted its own peace proposal, which Putin thanked Xi for at this week’s summit. 

China hasn’t gone so far as to forcefully condemn Russia’s invasion, either. The U.S. has accused China of supplying crucial components for weapons production, such as chips and jet and drone parts. China, however, maintains it has not provided Russia with any arms and closely monitors equipment sales that have civilian and military applications. China has also become the outlet for the heavily sanctioned Russian economy. Trade between Russia and China increased more than 25 percent to $240 billion in 2023. Russia has pumped energy exports into the Chinese market at a discount; Chinese vehicles are in the driver’s seat in the Russian auto market.

From the outset of U.S. involvement in the Ukraine war, this magazine has repeatedly and successfully argued that continued support of Ukraine would drive Russia and China closer together. And China’s ambiguity vis a vis the Ukraine war might be coming to an end.

If China is providing Russia with military components, which seems likely, and the economic relationship between Beijing and Moscow continues to develop at the current rate, Xi’s China is pursuing a new strategy: Assist Russia in the war effort to keep America bogged down in the Ukrainian quagmire. This not only helps Russia meet its short term goals, but better position China to play a major role in finding an agreement to end the war. 

But it doesn’t have to be this way, and there are plenty of tension points in China and Russia’s relationship that America could exploit if a certain presidential candidate wants to make a Nixonian pivot if sworn in January 20, 2025. Surely, it wouldn’t be the only similarity he has to the 37th president.

Principal Deputy Director of the NIH, Lawrence Tabak, testified before the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has finally admitted to funding gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the ground zero for the COVID-19 pandemic.

This admission directly contradicts previous statements made under oath by Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

During the session led by the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-Ariz.) pressed on whether NIH had funded gain-of-function research—a practice that involves making viruses more infectious to study their potential impact. The response from the Principal Deputy Director of the NIH, Lawrence Tabak, was revelatory.

Lawrence Tabak was named the Acting Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) from December 20, 2021, to November 8, 2023. He took over for Dr. Francis Collins, who has been in the post for over a decade. Dr. Tabak has served as the Principal Deputy Director and the Deputy Ethics Counselor of NIH since August 2010.

“It depends on your definition of gain-of-function research,” Tabak said, before conceding, “If you’re speaking about the generic term, yes, we did.”

This confession comes after years of denials from senior health officials, including Tabak and Fauci himself, about their involvement in such controversial experiments.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and chief medical advisor to the president, has consistently denied these allegations under oath.

In a 2021 Senate hearing, Fauci clashed with Senator Rand Paul over Fauci’s involvement in funding the Wuhan lab’s gain-of-function research that led to COVID-19.

“For years, Dr. Ralph Baric, a virologist in the U.S., has been collaborating with Dr. Shi Zhengli from the Wuhan Virology Institute, sharing his discoveries about how to create superviruses,” Senator Paul said per Swarajya.

“This gain-of-function research has been funded by the NIH. … Dr. Fauci, do you still support funding of the NIH lab in Wuhan?”

“With all due respect, you are entirely and completely incorrect. The NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.” Dr. Fauci responded.

“I do not have any accounting of what the Chinese may have done and I am fully in favor of any further investigation of what went on in China,” Dr. Fauci said. “However, I will repeat, the NIH…categorically has not funded gain of function research to be conducted in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”

Last August 2023, Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) submitted an “official criminal referral” to the Department of Justice (DOJ), accusing Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, of committing perjury—a felony.

The accusation centers around an email from February 2020, in which Dr. Fauci detailed a call with British medical researcher Jeremy Farrar, then-director of the Wellcome Trust.

The email, recently unredacted and shared by RealClearPolitics White House reporter Philip Wegmann, reveals a discussion among “highly credible” scientists, including Francis Collins, former director of the National Human Genome Research Institute, concerning mutations in the novel coronavirus (nCoV).

These researchers “were concerned about the fact that upon viewing the sequences of several isolates of the nCov there were mutations in the virus that would be most unusual to have evolved naturally in the bats and that there was a suspicion that this mutation was intentionally inserted,” Fauci wrote on the email.

The email further highlights concerns over Wuhan University scientists’ work on gain-of-function experiments, a type of research aimed at understanding how bat viruses adapt to human infection. The concerns were further accentuated by the fact that the outbreak of COVID-19 originated in Wuhan.

“The suspicion was heightened by the fact that scientists in Wuhan University are known to have been working on gain-of-function experiments to determine the molecular mechanisms associated with bat viruses adapting to human infection, and the outbreak originated in Wuhan,” Fauci added.

“This directly contradicts everything he said in committee hearing to me, denying absolutely that they funded any gain of function, and it’s absolutely a lie. That’s why I sent an official criminal referral to the DOJ,” Sen. Paul wrote.

One of the most serious allegations of war crimes against Russia is that it kidnapped tens of thousands of Ukrainian children during its invasion and sent them to “re-education” camps in Russia and, in some cases, gave the children to Russian families to adopt. Because the children are allegedly being Russianized with the intention of eradicating their Ukrainian cultural identity, this conduct qualifies as genocide under international law.

The International Criminal Court has issued a warrant for Vladimir Putin and Russia’s Children’s Rights Commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova over these child deportations. In March, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning the “illegal kidnapping” of Ukrainian children by Russia, and the nine Republican congressmen who voted against the resolution were excoriated.

But is the charge true? Lvova-Belova says the children were evacuated from the war zone due to concerns for their safety and that children can be claimed by their Ukrainian parents or guardians in person with the proper documentation. The Kremlin also disputes the number of children removed from Ukrainian territory: Kiev says more than 19,000; Moscow says it has 600 children from Ukraine in state care.

So which side is right? A story in the Wall Street Journal this week paints a picture of a tragic situation brought about not by the wickedness of Russian authorities, but by the inherent difficulties of wartime. According to the WSJ, people who have brought money and influence to bear on this issue with the goal of rescuing Ukrainian children have discovered, upon closer examination, that the situation is more complicated than they initially thought.

In July 2023, Qatar pledged millions of dollars and diplomatic assistance to help reunite Ukrainian children with their parents and guardians. “But the wealthy Gulf state downsized initial ambitions to return thousands at once after confronting myriad logistical and political challenges,” the WSJ writes. “To date, Qatar has returned approximately 70 children in several batches, most recently when a group of 16 were reunited with their families last month. Around 29 more children are expected to be sent home soon.”

“When we started engaging with the details, it turned out that getting each child is a long process,” a Qatari official said. One challenge is paperwork. Russian authorities will not hand over a child simply on a Ukrainian claimant’s say-so. An 18-year-old girl trying to bring home her 11-year-old brother was told by his Russian foster family, “I can’t give him to you like he’s a kitten.” The two siblings were orphans; the brother’s foster parents in Ukraine did not want him back, making the question of legal guardianship tricky.

Many of these children were living in orphanages on Ukrainian territory that was seized by Russian forces, who then evacuated them. Americans trying to understand this issue need to know two things about orphanages in Ukraine. The first is that, unlike in America, children in Ukrainian orphanages often have a living parent. It is common in Ukraine for single mothers or impoverished families to send their children to orphanages hoping one day to reclaim them when their circumstances improve. This makes it difficult for Russian authorities who want to place war orphans in new homes; they don’t know which ones still have parents in Ukraine who might want them back.

The second thing is that child trafficking in Ukraine is a real problem. The U.S. State Department, the European Union, and UNICEF have all named Ukraine as a hotspot for “institution-related trafficking.” Children in orphanages have been sold to American parents by unscrupulous adoption agents or taken away on false pretenses by criminal gangs, who then use the children in any one of their various money-making enterprises. (For a fictional treatment of this issue, based on real stories, see the 2014 novel Orphanage 41 by Canadian investigative journalist Victor Malarek, an expert in human trafficking and author of the non-fiction expose The Natashas: Inside the New Global Sex Trade.)

In other words, there are good reasons why Russian authorities will not release a child simply because someone in Ukraine claims to be his rightful guardian. The desire to reunite children with their relatives must be balanced against the need to protect children from bad actors. Those concerned with the welfare of these children should put their effort into meeting the criteria the Russian authorities have set for reunification in order to bring them home as soon as possible—and leave charges of “genocide” out of it.

US Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday told reporters that the Justice Department does not need to comply with a congressional subpoena because the DOJ is “a fundamental institution of our democracy.”

A visibly rattled Garland made the statements during a press conference to reporters after Joe Biden asserted executive privilege over the audio of his interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur.

Merrick Garland was forced to go on defense for the first time as two GOP-led House Committees vote to hold him in contempt of Congress.

The House Judiciary Committee on Thursday voted to hold Garland in contempt and the House Oversight Committee will hold a contempt vote later this evening.

Garland told reporters that the congressional subpoena was ‘not legitimate’ and would harm the DOJ’s ability to successfully pursue sensitive investigations.

Merrick Garland was also visibly irritated that Republicans were trying to defund Jack Smith’s investigations into Trump.

Former Gorsuch clerk Mike Davis joined Steve Bannon on The War Room on Thursday after Merrick Garland held a presser.

Davis said Garland was rattled after Republicans went on offense for the first time.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer last month released a statement after the DOJ rebuffed his committee’s request for the audio recordings.

“The Biden Administration does not get to determine what Congress needs and does not need for its oversight of the executive branch,” Comer said. “The American people deserve to hear the actual audio of President Biden’s answers to Special Counsel Hur.”

Comer said it is “curious” that the Biden Regime is refusing to release audio of Biden’s interview with Hur after releasing the transcript.

What we do know is that Joe Biden lied about Robert Hur raising the issue about his dead son Beau.

The Justice Department previously defended not bringing charges against Biden because he’s a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

According to the transcript, Joe Biden forgot when he was Vice President and couldn’t remember when his son Beau died.

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott (R) on Thursday pardoned Sgt. Daniel Perry following a unanimous recommendation by the Board of Pardons and Paroles.

Sg. Daniel Perry was facing 5 to 99 years in prison for shooting a BLM-Antifa protester in self-defense in 2020 after a Soros DA went after him.

Abbott and Texas AG Ken Paxton ripped the Soros DA in statements on Thursday.

“Texas has one of the strongest ‘Stand Your Ground’ laws of self-defense that cannot be nullified by a jury or a progressive District Attorney,” Abbott said in a statement announcing Perry’s pardon.

Sgt. Daniel Perry was found guilty of murder last year after Soros-backed Travis County District Attorney Jose Garza sought murder charges for an act of self-defense during the 2020 George Floyd riots.

According to David Fugitt the lead detective on the case, District Attorney Joze Garza and his office had him remove 100 pages of exculpatory evidence. The DA’s office had him shorten his presentation from 158 slides to 56 slides.

Fugitt added that this was likely criminal behavior.

Daniel Perry, an army soldier who shot and killed an armed BLM-Antifa protester in Austin in July 2020 was indicted on a murder charge in 2021.

Perry’s lawyer, Clint Broden, argued his client, who was driving Uber when rioters mobbed his car, was acting in self-defense after the BLM activist, Garrett Foster pointed a gun at him.

“It is important to note that the standard of proof required for an indictment is significantly less than the standard of proof required for a conviction,” Perry’s lawyer said in a statement.

Shortly before he was shot dead, Garrett Foster was seen on video explaining he brought an AK-47 to deal with the “pussies” who oppose him.

National Mental Health Survey Fails to Ask About Prescribed Psychiatric Drugs

The United Hospital Fund, a research and analysis organization, has released a report titled “The Ripple Effects of the Adolescent Behavioral Health Crisis” which apparently reflects survey data on substance use, mental health issues, and treatment (or lack thereof) among adolescents in the U.S., New York State and New York City. Based on this report, it appears that nobody is getting better.

This forty-page report spews so many numbers it’s hard to comprehend just how bad the mental health problem is for any given age group. But the report has bigger problems. For example, the smartest guys in the room who put together this report made a fatal error, and the report should be used as confetti. One only need review the survey used to collect the data to see that the highfalutin analysts apparently have failed to ask those surveyed whether or not they had been on prescription psychiatric drugs, when, what kind and for how long. Why? Where are the “fact checkers?”

How is this possible unless the goal of the data collectors is to create a behavioral health problem where one does not exist? And, perhaps, if one were to see the numbers of those surveyed, complaining of thoughts of suicide and depression, were actually on prescription psychiatric drugs, maybe the public might understand the role those drugs are playing in the increased numbers of suicide, depression and other mental health conditions.

Can one really accept that these respected analysts just decided not to separate which adolescents were on prescribed psychiatric drugs for “treatment” of a mental illness and those who are not on a psychiatric drug? Clearly those numbers would reflect totally different data. It actually becomes embarrassing trying to accept that such respected organizations would leave out important prescription drug data. But maybe the reason for the missing data is reflected in the associations for those producing the data.

The United Hospital Fund, a nonprofit that claims to have no ties to big pharma has partnered in producing this report with Boston Consulting Group that has a division devoted to servicing biopharma. It doesn’t take much to realize that pushing “unmet” needs equates to swaying the funding of massive behavioral health and big pharma with taxpayer dollars. This massive billion-dollar industry has created a survey that leaves out the most important question… Are you currently on, or have you been prescribed in the past, behavioral health medications?

This is important information in today’s world. Too often the behavioral health community cries that more resources (money) are needed. But those cries are based on incomplete data like what is provided in this recent report. What appears to be happening is that the mental health community does not want the world to know, that despite decades of mental health intervention (prescription drug use) NO ONE IS GETTING BETTER.

More importantly, a large portion of these prescribed psychiatric “treatments” carry black box suicide warnings that increase the likelihood one will commit suicide and, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) even taken as prescribed these drugs can be addictive. One can only wonder why those putting the surveys together don’t want to capture and separate behavioral health medication data in the targeted population to determine whether the drugs are helping or actually contributing to the increased suicides and continual poor mental health of the US population.
