As reported earlier…

Noa Argamani pleads for help after being captured by Hamas terrorists on October 7 (Yediotnews)

On October 7th, Hamas terrorists launched a massive surprise attack on civilians in Israel.

One of the targets attacked was what was first described as a nature party in the desert with thousands of young people in attendance. The Nova Music Festival with over 3,000 young Jews was targeted by the barbarians.

The terrorists flew paragliders into the party and slaughtered nearly 300 of the 3,600 partygoers.

The killers also raped the young beautiful women and took dozens of hostages.

A haunting image of Noa Argamani, 26,  at the moment of her capture at the party, horrified the world.

The video portrayed the brutality of the Hamas killers.

Argamani pleaded with the terrorists while being held on the back of a motorbike, ‘Don’t kill me!’

In January, the terrorists have released a new video in which Argamani is forced to say that two of her fellow captives are dead, allegedly by IDF strikes.

Earlier in the day, Hamas released a video showing three hostages, Argamani, Yossi Sharabi, 53, and Itai Svirsky, 38, and asked, “What do you think?’  The sick goal seemed to guess who, if any, of the three remained alive.

Exactly 100 days after October 7th, Hamas released a video showing three of the Israeli hostages, Noa Argamani, 26, Yossi Sharabi, 53, and Itai Svirsky, 38.

The video was the first sign of life for all three hostages.

A second video emerged later in the day showing Argamani, forced under duress, to share the heartbreaking news that Sharabi and Svirsky are dead.

Further, she was coerced into blaming their deaths on Israeli strikes.

In a stomach churning video reminiscent of a “Jigsaw” movie, Hamas releases footage of Noa Argamani announcing her fellow hostages Yossi Sharabi and Itay Svirsky were killed.

The Jerusalem Post provided a partial transcript of Argamani’s remarks:

“I was located in a building,” Argamani said in the Hamas video. “It was bombed by an IDF airstrike, an F16 fighter jet. Three rockets were fired. Two of the rockets exploded, and the other didn’t. We were in the building with Al Qassam soldiers and three hostages: Myself, Noa Argamani, Itai Svirsky, and Yossef Sharabi.

“After the building we were in was hit, we were all buried under rubble. Al Qassam soldiers saved my life, and Itai’s, unfortunately, we were not able to save Yossi’s.

“After many days…two nights, Itai and I were relocated to another place. While we were being transported, Itai was hit by an IDF airstrike. He did not survive.”

Argamani added, “Itai Svirsky and Yossi Sharabi….They died because of our own IDF airstrikes. Stop this madness and bring us home to our families. While we are still alive, bring us home.”

Despite the coerced video, the death of the two hostages has not been confirmed.

With their long track record of engaging in psychological warfare, it could be just another sick mind game by the terrorist organization.

Watch: Vanna White Breaks Down in Tears as She Says Goodbye to Pat Sajak

Vanna White bid Pat Sajak an emotional farewell on Thursday night’s “Wheel of Fortune,” as the longtime host is set to retire following Friday’s show.

In an emotional, pre-recorded video, White nearly broke down while explaining to her “Wheel” partner of more than four decades just how much he has meant to her over the years.

“I can’t believe tomorrow is our last show together,” White said with a smile at the beginning of the two-minute message. “I don’t know how to put into words what these last 41 years have meant to me, but I’m gonna try.”

Try she did, and the TV mainstay delivered a message that came straight from the heart.

“Eight thousand episodes went by like that,” White, 67, said with a snap of her fingers.

White said she was “green” when she joined the show in 1982 and that Sajak had helped her grow up. (Sajak started on “Wheel” in 1981 with co-host Susan Stafford.)

Through a montage of older photos, White said to Sajak, 77: “You’ve made me so comfortable and so confident, Pat. You made me who I am.”

She further explained that while she and Sajak spent four decades doing the show together and enjoyed it, she would enjoy their off-camera memories the most.

White began to hold back tears as decades of images of the two were shown – including personal photos of their families growing up together.

“We’ve laughed, we’ve cried. We’ve celebrated,” White told Sajak. “What an incredible and unforgettable journey we’ve had, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it with you.”

“As this chapter of our lives is coming to an end, I know you’ll still be close by,” she added. “You’re like a brother to me, and I consider you a true lifelong friend who I will always adore.”

White concluded, “I love you, Pat.”

Thursday’s live audience at the syndicated game show reacted to the remarks with applause.

Sajak, the lovable and often sarcastic host, appeared at a rare loss for words, but he and White shared an embrace.

Sajak will sign off one final time Friday before walking away from the show with decades of fans, especially White, who will never forget his presence as an American staple.

Sajak said farewell in a segment before Friday night’s broadcast.

“Well, the time has come to say goodbye,” he said, per NBC. “I have a few thanks and acknowledgments before I go. And I want to start with all of you watching out there. It’s been an incredible privilege to be invited into millions of homes night after night, year after year, decade after decade. …

“Thank you for allowing me into your lives.”

When “Wheel of Fortune” returns for the 2024-25 season, White will be back, but Ryan Seacrest will be the host.

White will remain on the show through the 2025-26 season.

California Restaurants Have Slashed 10,000 Jobs Since Democrats Introduced $20 Minimum Wage

Restaurants across the state of California have cut at least 10,000 jobs since Democrat lawmakers mandated a $20 minimum wage, according to a major trade group.

According to the California Business and Industrial Alliance (CABIA), thousands of restaurant workers have lost their positions as businesses are forced to cut labor costs and raise their prices in order to survive.

The New York Post reports:

The California Business and Industrial Alliance (CABIA) slammed  Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom for pushing through the law, which went into effect April 1 – and was blamed for forcing one beloved taco chain to shutter 48 locations in the state last week.

“California businesses have been under total attack and total assault for years,” CABIA president and founder Tom Manzo told Fox Business. “It’s just another law that puts businesses in further jeopardy.”

Several major chains – including McDonald’s, Burger King, and even low-cost favorite In-N-Out Burger – jacked up prices to offset the higher wages. Many had to cut employee hours and some have expedited a move to automation.

Manzo said nearly 10,000 jobs have been cut across fast food restaurants since Newsom signed California Assembly Bill 1287 into law last year, adding that officials were living in a “fantasyland” by thinking that drastic wage increases will help workers or businesses.

Just this week, the beloved restaurant chain Rubio’s Coastal Grill, announced that it would be closing 48 locations statewide due to the unaffordable costs of doing business.

“The closings were brought about by the rising cost of doing business in California,” said a statement from a Rubio’s spokesperson. “While painful, the store closures are a necessary step in our strategic long-term plan to position Rubio’s for success for years to come.”

Meanwhile, many other stores such as Taco Bell and Denny’s have been forced to close their doors or become drive-thru facilities because of soaring levels of crime.

In April, an analysis from Kalinowski Equity Research found that fast-food restaurants across the Golden State have hiked prices by around eight percent since the minimum wage law took effect.

And as long as Californians keep voting for far-left Democrats to look after their interests, things are only likely only get worse.

What I Learned When I Almost Died in the 2020 Riots

What I Learned When I Almost Died in the 2020 Riots

My viral turn as a Floyd riot victim is in the receding past, but choice behind it is still very much in the here and now.

The summer of 2020 is not one most of us are eager to remember. 2020, in general, is a year I suspect we are mostly keen to forget: an annus horribilis, a year of woe, marked by sickness, violence, strife, and discord. In the boiling heat of that summer four years ago chaos and bloodshed erupted in the streets of the nation. It should not be surprising if it is a year, and a summer, that many wish left in the past.

Yet we must not forget. That summer still lingers. We face another presidential election with the exact same candidates, Donald Trump and Joseph Biden, that we had to choose between four years ago. Many of the same tensions, the fault lines between states and factions that split open in 2020, remain with us. Wounds opened four years ago that have not closed, and many people in both parties have no interest in closing them—they have been to the benefit of this or that faction in the United States and around the world.

I suppose my perspective on that summer is colored by being one of its principal characters. I did not guess that I would become the center of the media universe that night at the end of May, when I went out armed to defend my neighborhood. My thoughts were on trying to do what was right. I was especially concerned with local businesses in my neighborhood, including, infamously, a local bar and restaurant where I had become great friends with most of the waitstaff and servers.

Businesses had just begun to open up again in Texas at that time, after more than two months of lockdown. Employees of many of these bars and restaurants were just starting to be rehired after weeks of uncertain economic prospects. I remember, at the time, worrying what would happen if the damage that had been done on prior nights in other parts of Dallas spread to my neighborhood. Would the people I had grown to care for be forced out of work? Would the places I had grown an affection for be destroyed, never to be rebuilt?

It is easy to say these fears are foolish with the benefit of hindsight. But much was uncertain in spring of 2020. There was a kind of fear gripping everything and everyone, a worry that things would come undone for good. The riots exacerbated that worry—a worry that is still with us.

It’s funny to still occasionally see that video of me, in my white pants and green shirt, with my machete, pop up here and there on social media. Many people will wonder if the person in that video died. Of course, I did not; the report of my death was exaggerated. But I am not the same person I was before that night, and I suppose that is a good thing.

In particular I faced a test of my own bravery that night, and, though it came at a cost, it was a test I passed, and that alone has been an enormous development in the course of my life. It is a matter of great significance for a man to know in his heart of hearts that he is not a coward. So I know now.

And so, perhaps, I look back on 2020, and then at our own time. The wounds of that year still fester. There is a political choice before us now that is identical to the choice we faced four years ago. In that regard, 2024 is the same as 2020.

But it is different in many other ways. The plans of the enemy are both more and less advanced than they were four years ago; more, because they have had more time to act, and less, because they have been hindered more than they seem to have expected. The wounds that opened in 2020 have suppurated, and have become unclosable divides among the peoples and even the elites of the United States and the modern West.

A time for a great decision is coming. On that night at the end of May in 2020, as I weighed whether to go out armed into the night, I reflected on the damage done by rioters days earlier in my own city, and in other cities around the country. I reflected that there seemed to be little response from law enforcement, amid all that chaos and destruction.

So I found myself asking: What will happen if I do nothing? If I don’t act, who will?

Now, as this year and what follows from it seem to present us with the prospect of great and dangerous choices, I believe everyone who has read this essay should ask themselves: What are you prepared to do? How will you act?

Sheinbaum’s Win Demonstrates the Left’s Lock on Mexican Populism

Sheinbaum’s Win Demonstrates the Left’s Lock on Mexican Populism

The Mexican election results prove again that conservatives in Latin America must find a political formula to connect with the region’s vast and neglected underclass.

In her victory speech, Claudia Sheinbaum emphasized that the Mexican presidential jet, a personal luxury for the chief executive, was not coming back under her administration. The president-elect said:

Our commitment [is] to the well-being of all Mexicans, we will govern for all, but as the humanist principle of our movement says “for the good of all, but first the poor.”  We will be austere; corruption will not return, nor the privileges; the presidential plane will not return, nor the pensions of former presidents, nor the presidential staff.

In tune with millions of have-nots in her country, Sheinbaum was denouncing the Mexican version of the Deep State. Unfortunately, it is the political left south of the border that has won over this anti-elite resentment, and it is likely to hold on to it for many years.

Mexican conservatism seems never to have seriously competed for these have-nots. Conservatism as a modern electoral force in Mexico was vaguely tied to the National Action Party (PAN), which overthrew the long dominance of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), coming to power in the year 2000, when Vincente Fox was elected president. Although the PAN would elect a second president (Felipe Calderon), the party’s glory was short-lived.

Very much in the tradition of Bush Republicans in the U.S., Fox, Calderon and their PANistas appear, in hindsight, not to have realigned and democratized Mexican politics away from the PRI, but kept it largely in the hands of the elites. Like Bush Republicans, the PAN’s orientation towards business principles and economic interest, while valid issues, famously offered nothing to vast numbers of Mexicans, particularly the marginalized underclass, who are fully in the hands of President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) and now his protégé Sheinbaum.

An inability to reach the marginalized underclass is not only a significant challenge for conservatives in Mexico, but it is a problem all across Latin America, where some 80 million people still live in extreme poverty.

In unpacking this challenge, let’s dive into Sheinbaum’s June 2 victory and what it means for Mexican politics.  It must be acknowledged that she campaigned skillfully, much better than her opponents, in connecting with the poor to win a landslide 60 percent of Mexico’s popular vote. It was an impressive victory, and certainly very much attributable to AMLO’s popularity.

There is much speculation about what lame-duck AMLO has planned. When his six-year term is up in October, the president says he plans to leave Mexican public life and retire to his ranch. Many observers, however, believe the 70-year-old still has ambitions to run the show from behind the curtain, and that he intends to control Morena, the ruling political party he founded. Whatever AMLO eventually does, it is not likely to impact Morena’s continuing dominance, or slow down Sheinbaum.

Claudia Sheinbaum should not be underrated as a politician in her own right. She successfully ran the government of Mexico City, a megalopolis with an unruly 25 million inhabitants, larger than most countries in Latin America. Making the point, grandmaster politician Lyndon Johnson once famously quipped that being a big-city mayor was a more demanding job than being president.

Moreover, veteran Mexico-watchers will have noted the gushing praise that the international media and intelligentsia are showering on Sheinbaum, as the “first woman president in North America.”  The crusty AMLO, in contrast, always generated wariness in elite circles, particularly inside Mexico. AMLO regularly unleashed personal attacks against journalists, eventually driving the reporting class into the ranks of his most bitter enemies.

Sheinbaum is far too crafty to follow that path, particularly as she surely senses the media’s infatuation with her, a valuable public relations asset. She is not likely to publicly battle the press and her opponents as a way to prove her populist credentials, as AMLO famously did during his daily morning press conferences.

Instead, Sheinbaum is preparing to step into the role of the international left’s ideal, modern leader: an intellectual woman with a hard science PhD; a devotee of wokeism and the green agenda; a non-religious politician of Jewish heritage in an overwhelmingly Catholic country. In their eyes, Sheinbaum comes right out of central casting to challenge machista and sexist Mexican society. She must not be allowed to fail.

Those who believe that AMLO has a future as Sheinbaum’s puppet master also underestimate the power of presidential incumbency. While the obedient Sheinbaum pays homage to AMLO, and she does owe him much, the exercise of executive power in a vast country like Mexico will inevitably propel la presidenta up on the stage all by herself.

What is certain is that Sheinbaum fully understands, just like AMLO, that connecting with her country’s underclass, which makes up roughly a third of all Mexicans (with 7 percent in extreme poverty), is the real source of her political power. She will continue AMLO’s policies of generous social spending on behalf of that vast community (e.g., pension support, scholarships, housing subsidies), while combining a personal style of austerity and humility.  This is the Rosetta stone that unlocks Morena’s powerbase.

Mexicans told pollsters that “security”—meaning the country’s widespread and calamitous criminality—was their greatest concern. The crime situation across Mexico has certainly not improved under AMLO and by many measures (deaths and disappearances) is even worse. Criminal courts do not function, and police corruption is legendary, with no real prospects for improvement.

But voters refused to punish AMLO and Sheinbaum at the ballot box. In fact, Morena politicians even won supermajorities in the Congress and numerous state legislatures. It appears that most Mexicans do not think that their president, regardless who holds the office, can realistically do much about the criminality scourge that plagues the nation.

Similarly, most Mexicans probably believe, rightly, that widespread corruption is also beyond the capacity of one president to change, at least in the short term. Despite big talk from AMLO-Sheinbaum about “transforming” Mexican society, most of their countrymen understand how well entrenched the corruption devil is in their national lives. They see little recourse except to live with it. Sheinbaum certainly has no magic bullets for either corruption or criminality.

But she still commands the moral high ground by serving in public office without using her influence to become personally wealthy. Whether true or not, AMLO largely succeeded in projecting the same powerful image. Nothing infuriated the touchy AMLO more than press charges that he cut dirty deals with narcos and took their drug money; it would seem most Mexicans did not find the corruption accusations against him persuasive.

Thus, personal incorruptibility at the top of the party is an indispensable ingredient in Morena’s success. It is a lesson that Mexico’s old political establishment—the PRI and the PAN—never seemed to have really learned, as almost all the leading politicians in those parties were or became very wealthy.  The result is that many observers see the Morena political machinery, led by AMLO-Sheinbaum and the proteges they will develop, as likely to hold power in Mexico for decades.

Conservatives, not only in Mexico, but across Latin America, must learn how to challenge the AMLO-Sheinbaum political coalition that has entrenched itself with the populist poor. Certainly, lack of progress on corruption and criminality remains a significant long-term weakness. Nayib Bukele in El Salvador and Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil have offered compelling law-and-order presidencies, which are highly popular in a region overwhelmed by criminal gangs. A Mexican Bukele may yet emerge.

Conservatives in the Americas have also had success attacking corruption, as the compelling example of Argentina’s Javier Milei gives much hope. Milei is a product of the Atlas Network, which emphasizes a libertarian-oriented vision based on the power of individual freedom and markets. Free enterprise scholars, such as Hernando de Soto, also have reached many right-of-center opinion-makers in the region.

Theirs is a good message, but it is often hard to sell among the vast dispossessed populations in the Americas, where leftwing activists have been engaged in political spadework for decades promoting Marxist values. Their tilling is at least partly responsible for the so-called rising “pink tide” in the Americas, which now AMLO-Sheinbaum have brought all the way to the Rio Grande.

Perhaps more than the libertarian message, a Burkean approach, retooled to tap into heavily Catholic, traditional societies, offers promise to reach the poor in our hemisphere. There are indeed significant Hispanic conservative traditions across the Americas that could be outfitted for the modern public square. Unfortunately, beyond the much-needed law-and-order message, few political organizers in the hemisphere have done very much in developing and spreading them.

One good example comes out of Chile, where the late Jaime Guzman did much in birthing a nationalist and social conservatism that promoted principles of subsidiarity and could connect politically with the poor. Politically smart, Guzman and his compadres realized that right-wing wealthy interests, often associated with the landowning classes, offered little to win over the underclasses. As The American Conservative’s Declan Leary explained, “Guzman brought together an eclectic blend of traditional faith, conservative government, and liberal economics” to help build an effective right-wing electoral force.

There are of course vast differences between Mexico and the southern cone countries in South America. Yet this kind of outreach into the forgotten barrios is something that few conservative politicians in Mexico appear capable of convincingly undertaking. They need to go back to the drawing board. Somewhere between the ideas and policies of Jaime Guzman in Chile and Nayib Bukele in El Salvador there might be the makings of a new political force, a new modern conservatism, for Mexico.

Israel’s Gantz Expected to Resign From Cabinet Post

Barring a last-minute resolution, the Israeli War Cabinet Minister Benny Gantz’s National Party appears set to withdraw from the coalition government established with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following the October 7 terror attacks.

Gantz announced that he will give a public statement on Saturday after his ultimatum in May to commit to an agreed-upon vision for the Gaza conflict by June 8 has gone unrealized. The expected exit marks a significant moment in the war as many Western pundits view Gantz as less fanatical than Netanyahu’s cabinet allies including Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant.

Gadi Eisenkot, Gantz’s political ally, will also leave the coalition. Both men are former IDF chiefs of staff and made up two-fifths of the emergency war cabinet.

On May 18, Gantz announced his ultimatum: By June 8, either Netanyahu would formulate a post-Gaza war plan that incorporated international allies or Gantz would exit the cabinet, fracturingNetanyahu’s coalition.

“A small minority took over the bridge of the Israeli ship and is sailing it toward a wall of rocks,” Gantz said in that May speech.”If you choose to lead the nation to the abyss, we will withdraw from the government, turn to the people, and form a government that can bring about a real victory.”

Netanyahu was furious and issued a scathing response, accusing Gantz of “seeking an end to the war and defeat for Israel, abandoning the majority of the hostages, leaving Hamas in power, and creating a Palestinian state.”

If nothing else, Gantz appears to be reading the political tea leaves surrounding what is becoming an ever-increasingly controversial conflict in Gaza.

President Joe Biden’s administration has signaled his belief that a Hamas-free Gaza appears unlikely as calls for ceasefire from abroad grow louder with recent anti-war protests engulfing American college campuses.

“We have to be honest about the fact that Hamas will remain in Gaza in some form after the war is over,” said a U.S. official in the Biden administration in May. “The past six months have proven no amount of fighting is going to change that.”

Gantz is likely to remain a major player in Israeli politics moving forward. In April, he called for early elections and only last week his National Party submitted a bill to dissolve the Knesset.

Jet Set Jill Biden Racking up Frequent Flyer Miles With Multiple Transatlantic Military Flights to Attend the Hunter Biden Trial and D-Day Observances

Dr. Jill Biden, Ed.D., has been commuting on military planes between D.C., France and Delaware this week, fulfilling her obligations as First Lady for a White House picnic, the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion and her stepson Hunter’s federal trial in Wilmington, Delaware on gun related charges.

Jill’s travel miles started racking up earlier this week when she flew with husband Joe Biden from their Rehoboth Beach, Delaware vacation home Sunday night to their home in Wilmington where Jill attended the first day of the trial on Monday (her 73rd birthday) while Joe stayed home before he took a solo trip for a Monday night Greenwich, Connecticut fundraiser. Joe flew back to the White House afterward.

On Tuesday, Jill attended the second day of the trial before jetting off to D.C. to join Joe in hosting the Congressional picnic at the White House Tuesday evening.

Jill then flew back to Wilmington Tuesday night to attend the third day of Hunter’s trial on Wednesday while Joe flew to France for the 80th anniversary of D-Day and a state visit with President Emmanuel Macron.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre stiff-armed a reporter who asked about Jill Biden’s travel plans during a Tuesday night press gaggle on Air Force One while Joe was headed to France:

Q Do you know what — the President dropped the First Lady off at her own plane on the way to Air Force One. Is she — she going back to Wilmington to attend the trial for day three?

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: I would have to refer to the First Lady’s Office on her — on her travel. I just don’t — or — or her — yeah, her travel. I just don’t have anything for you at this time. So —

After attending Hunter’s trial on Wednesday, Jill jetted off to France to join Joe for Thursday’s D-Day observance in Normandy where she valiantly guided Joe and did what she could to protect the nation from total embarrassment and humiliation by her 81-year-old decompensating husband.

Then it was back on a USAF C-32 so Jill could attend Hunter’s trial on Friday. Afterward, Jill was scheduled to take a military jet right back to France to attend a state dinner with Joe in Paris on Saturday. Late on Sunday, Jill and Joe are scheduled to fly back to Wilmington, where Hunter’s trial resumes on Monday.

Reuters White House reporter Jeff Mason posted to X: “.@POTUS and @FLOTUS parted at the airport in Paris after spending the day together in Normandy for the D-Day anniversary. Dr. Biden boarded her plane and appears to be heading back to Wilmington, where Hunter Biden is on trial this week. She has been attending the trial. She is due back in Paris for the state visit on Saturday.

— Jeff Mason (@jeffmason1) June 6, 2024

A New York Times report on Jill’s jet setting did not mention who is paying for her trial related travel (excerpt):

Jill Biden, the first lady, left President Biden’s side in France on Thursday to make the trans-Atlantic trip back to Delaware, where Hunter Biden is standing trial on gun charges.

The first lady is then scheduled to return to France for a state visit on Saturday, according to her communications director, Elizabeth Alexander.

The departure of the first lady from a high-profile foreign trip was perhaps the most dramatic illustration yet of the Biden family’s personal priorities, which lie some 3,600 miles away from France, in Courtroom 4A of the J. Caleb Boggs Federal Building in Wilmington, Del.

Hunter Biden is on trial on charges of lying about his drug use on a form to buy a gun in October 2018, and of illegally possessing the weapon.

The boomerang trip also says something about the resolve of the first lady, who is not a blood relative of Hunter Biden but who is the woman who raised him since he was a small child. Over time, she has become her family’s protective backbone.

“I’m his mom,” she said in an interview in 2022, when Hunter Biden was the subject of a federal investigation. “I mean, I have to support him and love him, and, you know, I’m constantly talking to him, sending him texts; ‘How you doing?’ Because it’s tough.”

A plane ride across the Atlantic Ocean shows just how tough.

On Friday, Fox News raised the question of who will be paying for Jill’s frequent flights for the trial:

WATCH: Fox News reports that First Lady Jill Biden is commuting back and forth to Hunter Biden’s trial from France “presumably at government expense. … Not sure if the Biden family will be reimbursing the U.S. Air Force.” pic.twitter.com/ngfCdTGBWK

— Conservative War Machine (@WarMachineRR) June 7, 2024

Spectrum News reporter Taylor Popielarz succinctly summarized Jill’s travel week:

“Quite a week for First Lady Jill Biden: • Monday (her birthday): In Delaware for Hunter’s trial • Tuesday: In Delaware for trial, then flew to DC for congressional picnic • Wednesday: Back in Delaware for trial, then flew to France overnight • Thursday: In France for D-Day events, then flew back to Delaware • Friday: In Delaware for trial, then heading back to France • Saturday: Will be in France for state dinner • Sunday: Will complete events in France and fly back to Delaware”

Quite a week for First Lady Jill Biden:

• Tuesday: In Delaware for trial, then flew to DC for congressional picnic

• Wednesday: Back in Delaware for trial, then flew to France overnight

• Thursday: In France for… https://t.co/4JVNLGUSOI

— Taylor Popielarz (@TaylorPopielarz) June 7, 2024

The carbon footprint for Jill’s travels between Rehoboth Beach, Wilmington, D.C., Wilmington, Normandy, Wilmington, Paris and Wilmington must be enormous, but she is one of our betters and as such she is entitled.

On June 6, a Ukrainian “independent” media NGO, published an article listing American opponents of Ukraine aid, accusing them of repeating “Kremlin propaganda” and blaming them for recent Ukrainian battlefield setbacks. What is notable about this apparent enemies list of American citizens is that its founder was trained by the U.S. State Department, and also happens to include The American Conservative and many of TAC’s writers.

The list was produced by the media NGO Texty.org.ua, which specializes in web journalism and was founded by Anatoly Bondarenko. Bondarenko received training through the State Department’s “TechCamp” program, which provides training to foreign journalists, NGOs, and activists. The association of Bondarenko and Texty.org.ua to the TechCamp and the State Department is very public, with the TechCamp website listing Bondarenko as a recipient of the TechForum Ukraine training. In this program, over “60 local journalists, civil society, community leaders, and private sector partners” were taught various media skills through the State Department’s TechCamp.

The list itself includes both pro-restraint conservatives and liberals, with organizations such as Codepink and Rage Against the War Machine appearing next to the Cato Institute, the Heritage Foundation, and Turning Point USA. The list includes the Daily Wire hosts such as Ben Shapiro and Michael Knowles, the linguist Noam Chomsky, the economist Jeffrey D. Sachs, Dr. Ron Paul, and RFK Jr.

TAC is listed as an anti-Ukrainian organization, as are TAC’s Political Editor Bradley Devlin, Senior Editor Sumantra Maitra, and Contributing Editors Micah Meadowcroft, Sohrab Ahmari, James Carden, Doug Bandow (who has written on the subject of Ukraine creating enemy lists of American citizens), and Douglas MacGregor.

The Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft (QI), which recently hosted a foreign policy conference with TAC, also appears on the list, which criticizes the QI for proposing negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. (Texty.org.ua ignores that the Quincy Institute condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine in its statement on the conflict in the exact same statement that they criticize.)

The list also includes dozens of sitting American politicians, like Senators J.D. Vance (R-OH), Rand Paul (R-KY), Ron Johnson (R-WI) and Josh Hawley (R-MO), Eric Schmitt (R-MO), as well as the former President Donald Trump, Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis, and Representatives Bob Good (R-VA), Jim Jordan (R-OH), and Jim Banks (R-IN).

Confusingly, the list also includes some Republicans who supported Ukraine aid earlier in the war but now oppose it, such as Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) and Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY). Bondarenko (and, presumably, his handlers at the State Department) do not forgive even the slightest dissent from the maximalist Ukrainian position.

While the list includes many anti-war leftists, not a single Democratic lawmaker is named. While the article (that the list appears in) does criticize members of the “Squad” for attending Codepink events and for a letter advocating a negotiated end to the conflict, it also praises them for voting for Ukraine aid.

Commenting on the existence of the list, as well as Texty.org.ua’s connections to the State Department, QI Director Anatol Lieven told TAC, “It is completely inappropriate that a foreign institution that receives training funded by U.S. taxpayers’ money should use that money to try to limit public debate in the US on a matter of vital U.S. interest.” Lieven added that he is delighted to be in the same club as TAC.

More Than 1,300 Illegals Flood Into San Diego in One Day After Biden’s Executive Order on Asylum Seekers – Border Patrol Releases Them to the Streets (VIDEO)

Joe Biden’s America.

More than 1,300 illegal aliens flooded over the US border into San Diego, California in ONE DAY following Biden’s executive order on asylum seekers.

Joe Biden on Tuesday held a fake border security press conference on his new asylum ‘restrictions’ from the East Room.

More than 15 million illegal aliens – mainly military-age males – have invaded the US on Biden’s watch.

Joe Biden took 94 executive actions in his first 100 days in office to destroy the border.

Now he’s acting like the savior with his new ‘asylum restrictions’ – only asylum is STILL AVAILABLE to thousands of illegal aliens every single day released into the US.

According to The New York Post, Biden’s new border ‘crackdown’ will still allow at least 1.8 million illegals to enter the US every year.

Via Fox News reporter Bill Melugin: “Per CBP source, just under 1,300 illegal immigrants were apprehended by Border Patrol here in San Diego sector alone yesterday. We shot this video late yesterday afternoon, when one single BP agent was trying to corral a group of 140.”

Bill Melugin said the illegals are from Egypt, China, Colombia and Turkey.

Trump’s Impressive Fundraising Numbers Are Starting to Concern Democrats and MSNBC (VIDEO)

Since the announcement of the sham verdict in New York, Trump’s fundraising has been on fire and his campaign has raked in hundreds of millions of dollars.

Democrats and the talking heads at MSNBC have noticed and they are clearly concerned.

The far left network recently did a report on a Trump event in Silicon Valley and noted that it’s traditionally a liberal stronghold.

RedState reports:

RedState has written about former President Donald Trump’s sudden fundraising success, which has taken off following his conviction in the Manhattan trial. On Thursday, an MSNBC panel speculated about it, talking in part about it happening in Silicon Valley.

The panel pointed out the early post-verdict fundraising numbers, including a major donation almost immediately on the heels of the conviction. But what’s really great about the MSNBC speculation is the claim that President Biden was “too quiet for too long.” That’s rich, when one considers the recent history of President Biden saying, well, anything.

As the panel revealed, the former president had a roster of fundraisers and rallies on the West Coast; aside from the Silicon Valley fundraiser, Trump will be holding events in Beverly Hills and Newport Beach.

When asked about Trump’s support in the area, the correspondent on the ground, Dierdre Bosa, the anchor of CNBC’s “Tech Check” referred to Silicon Valley as a “liberal bastion” – she’s not wrong – and evinces some surprise at having seen someone wearing “full Republican gear.” It’s not clear what “full Republican gear” involves, so we shall have to take Ms. Bosa at her word.

This is the man hosting the Trump event mentioned in the report:

Why I’m Backing President Trump

As many press accounts have reported, I’m hosting a fundraising event for President Donald J. Trump at my home in San Francisco this evening.

Over the last couple of years, I have hosted events for presidential candidates Ron DeSantis, Vivek…

Something has shifted. When Trump can raise money in San Francisco, you know something has changed.
