Maine Governor’s Independent Commission Withholds Important Drug Information on Mass Murderer Robert Card

The saturation of media coverage on government “special commissions,” failed gun control legislation and mass mental health spending in the aftermath of mass killings, whether by intent or accident, misses the singular thing that usually is withheld… the name of the drug, or cocktail of psychiatric drugs, the killers have been prescribed and by who.

The failed attempts to legislate violent human behavior, and the deep thinkers appointed to commissions that routinely produce investigations that fail to answer even the most basic questions, do nothing to reduce mass violence. In fact, what these commissions really are revealing is an apparent determination to withhold behavioral health information, including psychiatric drugs use among the mass shooters.

The Maine Interim Report released in March 2024 was supposed to provide an update about the investigation into why Robert Card, a military reservist, killed 18 people and wounded 13 others in October of 2023 in Lewiston, Maine. So far, it appears that the Independent Commission set up by Governor Mills is looking to place blame on gaps in mental health coverage then expand power to the behavioral health industry, increase mental health funding and try and ram thru more gun control.

This is a very similar game plan to what came from the Virginia Tech Commission after Seung-Hui Cho shot and killed 32 people in April of 2007. The University came to the conclusion that mental health information wasn’t shared and, therefore, the public needed massive increased mental health funding. These commissions don’t reflect successful track records and at some point the public has to ask whether it is really possible to completely identify the singular cause of mass shootings?

Interestingly, what is being revealed with each new mass shooting is the role mental health is playing. It takes time, but with each new commission review we find that law enforcement knew of the mental health aspect of the case within hours of the shooting. It makes sense, right? Law enforcement would be privy to that information as soon as the perpetrator had been identified. They’d know whether the shooter was receiving mental health services, where and from whom and what psychiatric drugs they may have been prescribed.

Of course, what we find out too late is that this information is imperative to understanding why the person may have snapped. In the case of Robert Card, the interim report released by the commission completely skips over what medications Card had been prescribed. This is a problem. The commission had no problem revealing that Card had been prescribed medications while a patient at the Four Winds Psychiatric Hospital but didn’t bother to let the public know which drugs had been prescribed. This is serious. This information would help everyone understand what may have caused the violent behavior. Why would the commission deliberately withhold that information?

Well, let’s guess. Is it possible that Card was prescribed a cocktail of psychiatric drugs while he was a patient at Four Winds? Sure. Perhaps some of the known side effects of that cocktail of drugs included mania, psychosis, abnormal behavior, violent behavior, and homicidal and suicidal thinking. Then let’s remember that Card apparently didn’t like the drugs and stopped taking them after leaving the psychiatric facility. Oops! Bad things happen when people cold turkey off psychiatric medications. Is that what occurred? Who knows, but the point is that the public has a right to know what drugs the killer had been taking.

Governor Mills promised a legitimate review. So far, the commission has been playing fast and loose with important information. If the drug information is protected, let us know why. If not, provide it. Then, and only then, can we have an informed conversation about whether restrictive gun legislation, if any, is needed, whether increased mental health funding is necessary or maybe, just maybe, we need to discuss whether mental health played a role in the violent attack.

The Gateway Pundit reported on the violent anti-Israel protestors who attacked Jews outside the Adas Torah synagogue located in a predominantly Jewish neighborhood of Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon.

One couple decided that a violent, hate-filled pro-Hamas protest was the perfect weekend outing for their toddler.

During the chaos, as pro-Hamas protestors attempted to block the entrance to the synagogue, pro-Israel protestors came out to counter them and attempted to block a Range Rover from entering a gas station across the street.

LAPD officers in full riot gear intervened and approached the vehicle with guns drawn, shouting, “Put your hands up. Get out of the car now. Ma’am, step out of the car.”

The two adults got out of the car and surrendered while an officer removed the terrified toddler, who was clad in a keffiyeh, out of the back seat of the car and removed him from the chaos.

Soros-funded Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx has been an absolute disaster for Chicagoans. In her first three years alone, Foxx dismissed over 25,000 felony cases in the Chicago area.

The Gateway Pundit reported that Foxx announced she will not seek re-election in 2024. But that still leaves two years for her to continue to push policies that wreak havoc on the city.

Under her failed leadership, prosecutors have struggled to find crimes they are willing to pursue—until now.

During a roadway dispute, William Swetz allegedly threw a Big Gulp on Foxx during an argument near her Flossmoor home.

Prosecutors have now charged Swetz with two felonies after the incident.

According to CWB Chicago, Foxx was on her morning walk when Swetz encountered her while driving his GMC pickup truck, and Swetz yelled at  Foxx to “Get off the road, b**ch!”

Foxx then allegedly “made a hand gesture” in response.

The verbal altercation escalated and culminated in the hurling of the drink before Swetz drove off.

Police arrested Swetz later in the day.

Stockslager, the defense attorney, countered that the altercation was a “mutual exclamation of frustration” and added that there is no evidence that Foxx’s alleged fear of being struck by his truck was reasonable.

Judge Antara Rivera told Swetz that the “most troubling” aspect of the allegations in her mind was that he threw a drink on Foxx.

“It’s not safe,” said Rivera, citing the COVID pandemic. She released him to await trial with orders to stay away from Foxx and appear in court for a hearing on Tuesday.

Prosecutors charged Swetz with aggravated battery in a public place and aggravated assault with a motor vehicle, both felonies. The battery charge is the more serious of the two counts filed against Swetz.

Courthouse veterans who spoke with CWBChicago on Sunday questioned the decision of Foxx’s office to charge Swetz with aggravated battery when he is only accused of tossing a drink on her.

While Big Gulp tossing constitutes a felony worthy of pursuit in Foxx world,  the murder of 19-year-old National Guardsman Chrys Caravajal on July 3, 2021, by two alleged gang members does not.

Although one of the two suspects was identified soon after the murder, but the soft on crime Foxx said there was insufficient evidence to file murder charges, and federal prosecutors were forced to step in to pursue justice.

After a group of teenagers attacked a couple in Streeterville in May, causing the female victim to miscarry her baby, two of the alleged perpetrators were charged with misdemeanor battery and released.

In 2021, a man with a history of attacking passers-by and transit workers allegedly stabbed a 66-year-old man five times but was only charged with one count of misdemeanor battery.

Taylor Swift has fired back at Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl after he seemingly implied that she does not perform live during a recent interview. The situation unfolded when Grohl, known for his candid and sometimes controversial remarks, made comments that Swift’s performances might lack the live authenticity fans expect from major artists.

Swift, who has built a reputation for her dynamic live shows and meticulous attention to performance details, addressed the comments during an impromptu Q&A session with fans. “I’ve always prided myself on delivering genuine live performances,” she stated. “It’s disheartening when fellow musicians cast doubt on that without fully understanding the effort that goes into my shows.”

This isn’t the first time the two musicians have had public interactions. Grohl has previously praised Swift, even calling her his “savior” at a Paul McCartney party where she took over a performance when he was too intoxicated to play.

During the party, Grohl found himself in a pinch as McCartney finished a song and guests expected him to play next. Swift stepped in and performed the Foo Fighters’ hit “Best of You,” which left Grohl both surprised and grateful​.​.

Dispute over access heats up as owners cite trespassing, litter, theft, vandalism

Officials in one Wyoming county have discovered, abruptly, that what they thought was a county road actually is a private road, owned by a ranching family whose members are tired of trespassing, littering and property damages.

A report in the Cowboy State Daily details how Natrona County officials have gone to court to halt a plan by Stephanie and Walt Woodbury, owners of Woodbury Land and Livestock, to shut down access.

At issue is “County Road 505,” which runs from Casper Mountain more than 13 miles to Highway 487.

Lawyer John Masterson representing the family told county officials his clients have no desire to be “pariahs” in the community, but need help from the county to find a solution to the issues of trespass, litter, and even people taking firewood from the private land.

“The Woodburys are active cattle ranchers on their lands and have BLM grazing rights over other parcels,” the lawyer’s letter to the county explains. “The continued use — if not abuse — of the access they have permitted has risen to intolerable levels.”

He urged the county to “start a discussion and dialog with these people…”

Commissioners already had adopted a strategy to make the road “a legal county road.”

The family explained that its members own the road, as the county never legally obtained ownership, and it now is being used for business construction projects as well as serving as an evacuation route for Casper Mountain residents in the event of a fire.

County Attorney Heather Duncan-Malone confirmed the family is correct about its ownership.

“It does appear going back through the land records that it was never formally established according to the statutory processes that it should have been,” she explained.

The county’s plan appears to be to take the road by “adverse possession,” which means under state law the county must prove it occupied “openly and exclusively” the land for at least 10 years continuously.

Meanwhile, the county is in court to prevent any plan to close the road.

The family, meanwhile, expressed disappointment that county officials declined to negotiate with them, and have confirmed those caught trespassing will be reported to the sheriff’s office.

A Maryland LGBTQ leader who attempted to meet up with a 14-year-old decoy reportedly visited the Biden White House three times.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Alex Rosen, the founder of the Houston-based vigilante organization Predator Poachers, uploaded a new video exposing Maryland’s Democrat LGBTQ Diversity Council Chair attempting to meet up with a decoy he believed was 14 years old.

Rosen wrote on X, “We just busted the head of the LGBTQ Dems of Maryland going after a 14-year-old.”

According to Rosen, Michael Knaapen, chair of the Maryland Dem’s LGBTQ Diversity Council, attempted to meet up with a 14-year-old decoy after exchanging sexually inappropriate messages with the decoy, who told Knaapen he was 14.

In the full video released by Rosen, Knaapen confessed to sending pictures of his private parts to the 14-year-old decoy.

According to White House visitor logs, Michael Knaapen visited the Biden White House three times in 2023.

In one of those meetings, Knaapen had a special meeting with Special Assistant to Biden, Jessica Schubel.

The safety problems plaguing Boeing are now genuinely ‘out of this world’, as they include ‘multiple helium leaks’ on the Starliner rocket that has left astronauts stranded on the International Space Station.

And worse: it has now arisen that both NASA and Boeing managers knew about the problem, but OK’d the launch anyway, believing it ‘too small to pose a threat’.

New York Post reported:

“Officials found a helium leak on the troubled Starliner before its launch June 5, but NASA and Boeing leaders said the rocket was good to go because the issue was supposedly too small to pose a safety threat for the spacecraft, CBS News said. The rocket’s launch date had already been delayed due to another leak.

Then once in orbit, four more helium leaks developed, with one thruster officially deemed unusable. The return trip for astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams has now been delayed until at least July 2.”

The Starliner has 5 helium leaks, but NASA says it’s capable of bringing astronauts back.

This dramatic turn of events compounds the already critical situation with Boeing, after multiple high-profile malfunctions of planes and over 20 whistleblowers alerting about safety and quality issues.

“Wilmore and Williams were supposed to come back home June 13 after a week on the ISS, but their return date remains up in the air as engineers continue to analyze and test the helium leaks and thruster failures on the Starliner, NASA said.

‘We are taking our time and following our standard mission management team process’, Steve Stich, manager of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, said in a statement. ‘We are letting the data drive our decision-making relative to managing the small helium system leaks and thruster performance we observed during rendezvous and docking’, he added.”

NASA still trusts Starliner, that would be ‘performing well in orbit while docked to the space station’.

NASA officials insist Wilmore and Williams are still cleared to undock and fly home at any time if a major issue arises – but we all understand that this is not how space missions are supposed to go.

There is widespread concern over Starliner’s ability to safely make the six-hour return trip.

“Boeing has spent about $1.5 billion in cost overruns beyond the initial $4.5 billion contract it secured with NASA, which is hoping to make Starliner its second mode of transportation to the ISS alongside SpaceX’s Crew Dragon.”

CNN’s Kasie Hunt cut off Trump’s spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt after she brought up Jake Tapper’s years of comparing Trump to Hitler.

President Trump and Joe Biden will face off in the first presidential debate on Thursday evening at 9 pm ET. The debate will be hosted by CNN in Atlanta.

Trump haters Jake Tapper and Dana Bash are moderating this week’s presidential debate.

Of course, the debate rules are designed to protect Joe Biden.

The microphones will be muted except when it is the candidate’s ‘turn’ to speak.

Campaign staff may not interact with the candidates during breaks and no props are allowed.

The bar is set so low for feeble Biden that all he has to do is show up and not keel over and he will be applauded.

The debate moderators have a history of attacking Trump and comparing him to Adolf Hitler.

“First of all, it takes someone five minutes to Google Jake Tapper and Donald Trump to see that Jake Tapper has consistently compared Trump to Adolf Hitler,” Karoline Leavitt said as Kasie Hunt interrupted her.

“Ma’am! We’re gonna to stop this interview if you continue to attack my colleagues!” Kasie Hunt said as she cut the interview.

The Air Line Pilots Association International (ALPA), which represents over 70,000 pilots worldwide, wants to ensure that they are aligned with the woke DEI policies pushed by radical Marxists.

In their 2021 diversity, equity, and inclusion language guide, the ALPA lists numerous terms and phrases to avoid to further the “inclusion” of women, transgenders, and “non-binary” individuals.

The guide suggests replacing terms like “cockpit” and “manpower”  because they denigrate women.

No matter that “cockpit” is said to have originated from 16th-century cockfighting and evolved to describe tense fighting environments.

The guide even suggests avoiding using terms like  “mother/father” or “husband/wife” which are somehow offensive.

Lott Wire reports:

The guide suggests replacing “cockpit” with “flight deck,” citing that the former term has been used derogatorily to exclude women. It also advises against using terms like “manpower,” recommending “people/human power” instead, and discourages addressing groups as “guys” due to its non-inclusive nature.

ALPA also recommends avoiding “mother/father” and “husband/wife” to respect diverse family structures and same-sex couples.

While planes are falling apart, the woke agenda seems to be the most pressing issue for the union, a posture also championed by others in the industry, including United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby.

In a January interview, Kirby admitted that the airline no longer seeks the most qualified candidates to transport passengers on commercial flights safely.

They want diversity.

Kirby said, “We have committed that 50% of the classes will be women or people of color” instead of the most qualified individuals they can find.

United is not alone. A source from Delta Airlines recently revealed that the airline’s “Inclusivity Language Guide” tells employees to capitalize the words “Black” and “Brown” but not “White” when describing one’s race.

The US-made long-range ATACMS missiles supplied by the Joe Biden Administration from hell to Kiev may not be the game changer they expected, but it sure turned the Day of the Holy Trinity holiday into a bloody tragedy on a Crimean beach.

Russia immediately stated that the US was responsible for the attack with five missiles that killed four people, including two children, and injured 151 more.

Reuters reported:

“The Russian Defense Ministry said four of the U.S.-delivered Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles, equipped with cluster warheads, were shot down by air Defense systems and the ammunition of a fifth had detonated in mid-air.

Footage on Russian state television showed people running from a beach and some people being carried off on sun loungers.”

Missile fragments fell just after noon on a north-side beach in Sevastopol where many people enjoyed the holiday. The incident naturally generated a furious reaction among Russian public figures.

“The [Russian] Defense ministry said U.S. specialists had set the missiles’ flight coordinates on the basis of information from U.S. spy satellites, meaning Washington was directly responsible.

‘Responsibility for the deliberate missile attack on the civilians of Sevastopol is borne above all by Washington, which supplied these weapons to Ukraine, and by the Kyiv regime, from whose territory this strike was carried out’, the ministry said.”

This should not be happening.

The death toll is estimated at this time at four, with 144 injured. Specialist doctors have been flown in from other parts of Russia.

“Russia will respond to Sunday’s attack, the Defense Ministry said, without elaborating. The Kremlin said Putin had been ‘in constant contact with the military’ since the attack.”

While showering civilian beachgoers is meaningless militarily, the same cannot be said of the relentless Russian campaign of missile and drone attacks against Ukrainian power plants and energy grid.

This weekend saw the eight massive attack leading to the largest power outages since the start of the war – and things may be about to worsen considerably.

The Guardian reported:

“Ukrainians are having to cope with widespread emergency blackouts as Russia continues to pound critical infrastructure.

Zelensky took the opportunity to ask for Patriot air defense systems, sped-up training of F-16 pilots, and long-range weapons.

“In recent months, Russia has switched tactics from targeting electricity substations, which Ukraine had become adept at quickly repairing, to trying to flatten entire power stations.

That’s destroyed a significant share of power generation in several Ukrainian regions, rendering the country — once a net exporter of electricity — dependent on the EU to keep the lights on. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently said Moscow had destroyed half of his country’s electricity-generating capacity since it began pummeling its energy facilities in late March.”
