NASA Will Launch Artificial Star into Earth’s Orbit, Costing $19.5 Million

NASA is planning to launch an artificial star into the Earth’s orbit.

According to Futurism, the artificial star will be about the size of a toaster and equipped with eight lasers.

The creation of the star is part of NASA’s $19.5 million space project called Landolt.

The Landolt project aims to help scientists accurately measure real stars in space and are hoping it will assist in studying dark energy.

Per Futurism:

NASA is planning to launch an unusual payload, roughly the size of a toaster and outfitted with eight lasers.

Its job is to imitate stars and other celestial objects like supernovas, Live Science reports, by beaming lasers straight into their instruments back on the surface.

The false star is part of the space agency’s $19.5 million mission dubbed Landolt, and is designed to allow scientists to get more accurate measurements of real stars. Researchers suggest it could even help study dark energy, the mysterious hypothetical form of energy that’s been used to explain why the universe is expanding at an accelerating rate.

“Even with today’s modern instruments, measurements of the true brightness of stars have only been known to a few percent,” said NASA Exoplanet Science Institute deputy director and Caltech astronomer David Ciardi in a statement. “Landolt will enable an improvement in those measurements by more than a factor of ten.”

“What we’re trying to do here is really fundamental.” https://t.co/z84D4DYQ7B

The launch date of the artificial star will be in 2029.

CBS Forced to Delete Segment After Most Embarrassing Biden Reporting in History Exposed On-Air

CBS News was forced to remove a video from social media platform X on Wednesday after arguing it was an example of a “cheap fake” of President Joe Biden apparently wandering off during the G7 Summit in Italy last week.

The White House has accused Republicans of creating cheap fake videos of Biden, taken out of context, to build on the narrative that he has cognitive problems.

JUST IN: White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre says videos of Biden freezing and appearing confused are “cheap fakes video.”

Don’t believe your own eyes, folks.

Pierre said right-wingers who are sharing these videos have a “credibility problem.”

“I think you all have… pic.twitter.com/F4Au9ReAY8

— Collin Rugg (@CollinRugg) June 17, 2024

CBS News chief White House correspondent Nancy Cordes claimed such was the case with the G7 footage of Biden and other world leaders watching a skydiving demonstration.

“Outlets claimed that he was sort of just aimlessly wandering away. The clip amassed millions of views …, when actually if you widen out, you can see that he was talking to one of the members of the military that was participating in that demonstration,” she said.

The problem is the so-called “digitally altered video” CBS aired next to the actual one is exactly the same. In both, you can see that Biden is trying to talk to a paratrooper.

But he did wander off, while the other G7 leaders stuck together. Then Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni went to Biden to wrangle him up.

BREAKING: @CBSNews falsely claims that raw footage of Joe Biden at the G7 was “DIGITALLY ALTERED.”

Here is a video comparing the “cheap fake” with the raw footage. Please note that they are EXACTLY THE SAME! pic.twitter.com/41AwLVC32Z

— Andrew @ Don’t Walk, RUN! (@DontWalkRUN) June 19, 2024

CBS acknowledged its mistake in the video comparison in a later post on X, saying it had removed the earlier version.

“An earlier post was removed as it included the wrong version of a video. This version has been updated to include the correct clip and label on the edited video,” the news outlet said.

CBS News labels the clip a “digitally altered video” but it’s the exact version shared by the White House – https://t.co/7YT3DKUGfI

Just stunning misinformation and gaslighting… https://t.co/3PKHqIWZv7

— Steve Krakauer (@SteveKrak) June 19, 2024

In the new video CBS shared, the paratrooper is blurred out. Further, rather than labeling it “digitally altered,” CBS called it an”edited clip.” But who did that editing? CBS?

An earlier post was removed as it included the wrong version of a video. This version has been updated to include the correct clip and label on the edited video.

— CBS News (@CBSNews) June 19, 2024

Another example of what the White House called a cheap-fake video was when Biden appeared to freeze on stage at a Los Angeles fundraiser on Saturday. Former President Barack Obama then stepped in and led him off the stage.

Joe Biden appears to freeze at his LA fundraiser. Has to be led off stage by Obama. pic.twitter.com/iUKALvdqPD

— Clay Travis (@ClayTravis) June 16, 2024

Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier observed Tuesday, “There was nothing fake about former President Obama reaching over to President Biden’s wrist and kind of tugging him to go.”

The same was true when Meloni pulled Biden back to where the other world leaders were, Baier further noted.

Biden seems to be having more of these freezing moments of late.

CBS and the White House can try to spin it any way they want, but Americans can watch the raw video footage and see there’s a problem.

Leftists Cry ‘Separation of Church and State’ Over New Ten Commandments Law – Here’s a History Lesson for Them

Rarely have seven innocuous words, misinterpreted and then amplified, caused so much mischief.

On Wednesday, Republican Gov. Jeff Landry of Louisiana ignited leftist outrage by signing a bill that requires all the state’s public school classrooms to display the Ten Commandments.

Predictably, opponents of the bill cited a paraphrased version of a line that appeared in an 1802 letter written by President Thomas Jefferson: “wall of separation between church and state.”

As we shall see, the use of that “separation” phrase to attack Louisiana’s law amounts to an act of sophistry.

No doubt anticipating such objections, Louisiana earmarked no state money for the mandate’s implementation, relying instead on private funds.

Likewise, to affirm that the mandated display constitutes an acknowledgement of the Ten Commandments’ historical significance, not an endorsement of a particular religious creed, the law also requires a four-paragraph context statement tying the Ten Commandments to American foundational documents.

That, of course, did not satisfy the bill’s opponents.

“BREAKING: We’re suing Louisiana for requiring all public schools to display the Ten Commandments in every classroom. Public schools are not Sunday schools,” the American Civil Liberties Union tweeted.

BREAKING: We’re suing Louisiana for requiring all public schools to display the Ten Commandments in every classroom.

Public schools are not Sunday schools.

— ACLU (@ACLU) June 19, 2024

Displaying the Ten Commandments, a cornerstone of the Judeo-Christian tradition that undergirds all of Western civilization, would transform public schools into Sunday schools? Where might the confused and litigious folks at the ACLU get such an idea?

They got it from Jefferson’s “separation” phrase, of course, but not from any real understanding of what Jefferson meant.

“Here’s the deal: We stop pretending there is any kind of separation of church and state here. Tax them. Tax them hard,” one person wrote Wednesday on the social media platform X.

Here’s the deal: We stop pretending there is any kind of separation of church and state here. Tax them. Tax them hard.

— Andrea Junker (@Strandjunker) June 19, 2024

“Separate church and state,” the organization Americans United for Separation of Church and State tweeted.

— Americans United (@americansunited) June 19, 2024

In other words, leftist objections to the Louisiana law rest on the phrase “separation of church and state.”

Alas, that famous phrase’s historical context does not support the leftist interpretation.

Sometime after Oct. 7, 1801 — the precise date remains unknown — a three-man committee representing the Danbury Baptist Association, a group of 26 Baptist churches in western Connecticut and eastern New York, wrote a letter congratulating their “beloved” Jefferson on his election to the presidency and laying out principles with which they knew he would agree.

“Sir, we are sensible that the President of the united States, is not the national Legislator, & also sensible that the national goverment cannot destroy the Laws of each State; but our hopes are strong that the sentiments of our beloved President, which have had such genial Effect already, like the radiant beams of the Sun, will shine & prevail through all these States and all the world till Hierarchy and tyranny be destroyed from the Earth,” the letter read.

The authors even suggested to the president that “America’s God has raised you up to fill the chair of State out of that good will which he bears to the Millions which you preside over.”

“And may the Lord preserve you safe from every evil and bring you at last to his Heavenly Kingdom throug Jesus Christ our Glorious Mediator,” the letter concluded.

Jefferson did not receive this remarkable letter until Dec. 30. Nor did it reach him without fanfare. In fact, the same itinerant preacher who carried the letter also delivered a now-legendary giant wheel of cheese made by the citizens of Cheshire, Massachusetts, another Baptist stronghold in a state that did not disestablish its Congregational Church until 1833.

In other words, Jefferson had New England Baptists on the mind as the New Year approached. It might even have been the reason he invited Republican Rep. William Eustis of Massachusetts to dine with him.

Over the next two days, the president’s reply to the Danbury Baptist Association went through two drafts.

In the first draft, he explained why, as president, he had avoided proclaiming religious fast days. But another New England Republican who reviewed the draft encouraged the president to excise that passage, so he did.

The second and final draft preserved the remainder of the original nearly verbatim.

“Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should ‘make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,’ thus building a wall of separation between Church & State,” Jefferson’s famous second paragraph began.

Why take readers so deep into the weeds with this Jefferson letter? What could all this historical context possibly tell us? And what difference does it make?

For one thing, it reminds us that in 1802 those New England states had long-established (i.e. tax-supported) churches.

Likewise, while Jefferson did not approve of established churches, he made no effort to influence state laws. Indeed, he could not have done so had he wished. As the Danbury Baptists noted, the president “is not the national Legislator,” nor could the federal government — and that includes every branch of the federal government — “destroy the Laws of each State.”

Furthermore, the president’s consultation with several New England Republicans suggests that he intended his letter, once published, primarily for an audience of New England Republicans, in this case Baptists who shared the president’s views on religious freedom. And that suggests a political act, not a statement meant to clarify, alter or forever enshrine First Amendment’s meaning.

Finally, note Jefferson’s use of the word “whole,” as well as his italicization of the word “their.” The “whole American people” had declared that “their legislature” would make no laws establishing religion or inhibiting its exercise.

Why would Jefferson italicize “their” unless he meant to refer to the legislature of the “whole American people” only? That tells us that Jefferson recognized the First Amendment as binding on Congress but not on state legislatures.

In sum, could a seven-word phrase from a 222-year-old letter — written for a special purpose, expressing principles that denied the First Amendment’s applicability to the states  and responding to a letter that did the same — really keep a cornerstone of Western civilization out of public schools?

Leftists believe that it can. And they believe it because, as the ACLU tweet illustrated, they have relied on courts to ensure that it does.

In fact, in a brilliant 2006 essay, Daniel Dreisbach of the Heritage Foundation, author of the book, “Thomas Jefferson and the Wall of Separation Between Church and State,” explained how federal courts spent decades twisting Jefferson’s casual “wall” metaphor into a “high and impregnable” barrier.

Ironically, the very mechanism on which “separation of church and state” advocates depend for the enforcement of the Jeffersonian phrase they have misinterpreted happens to be the very mechanism Jefferson himself most feared.

In an 1819 letter, Jefferson denounced the activist federal judiciary of his day. Courts, he argued, could not “usurp” the power to interpret the Constitution’s meaning. If they did, it would make the entire Constitution a “felo de se” — an act of suicide.

“For intending to establish three departments, coordinate and independant, that they might check and balance one another, it has given, according to this opinion, to one of them alone the right to prescribe rules for the government of the others; and to that one too which is unelected by, and independent of, the nation,” he wrote.

Thus, outraged leftists who hope to invalidate Louisiana’s Ten Commandments law based on their own misunderstanding or distortion of Jefferson’s famous phrase will find that Jefferson himself refutes them at every turn.

Defense Department Won’t Release Report on Funding of Chinese Research Laboratories – Blames ‘Limitations in the DoD Tracking Systems’

Wuhan laboratory technicians at the Institute of Virology experimenting on live animals.

US taxpayers hand over nearly a trillion dollars to the Department of Defense every year.

In March the Defense Department laid out details of its $849.8 billion budget request, which is expected to fund operations during fiscal year 2025.

In November 2023 the Department of Defense announced the completion of a department-wide financial statement. Michael McCord, the DoD Under Secretary of Defense and Chief Financial Officer, announced at the time, “Auditing the Department’s $3.8 trillion in assets and $4.0 trillion in liabilities is a massive undertaking. But the improvements and changes we are making every day as a result of these audits positively affect every soldier, sailor, airman, marine, guardian, and DoD civilian.”

On Thursday The Department of Defense announced that they were having trouble finding out the exact extent of taxpayer dollars that are going to Chinese research laboratories – “The full extent of DoD funds provided to Chinese research laboratories for research related to enhancement of pathogens of pandemic potential is unknown.”

They can’t figure it out. Apparently, they have no idea how much money is going to Chinese biolabs!

Via Catturd2

Due to limitations in the DoD’s tracking systems, the full extent of DoD funds provided to Chinese research laboratories for research related to enhancement of pathogens of pandemic potential is unknown. Read our new report now: https://t.co/Ts7V7C15V9

— DoD Office of Inspector General (@DoD_IG) June 20, 2024

Here is a link to the full 26-page report on Chinese biolab funding.

The Department of Defense did not track the funding to Chinese labs related to pathogen research.

Here is the report’s conclusion:

(U) Conclusion
(U) We found significant limitations with the adequacy of data, similar to the observations the GAO found in its reports. Specifically, the DoD did not track funding at the level of detail necessary to determine whether the DoD provided funding to Chinese research laboratories or other foreign countries for research related to enhancement of pathogens of pandemic potential. In addition, DoD organizations did not have visibility of subaward information throughout the life of contracts and grants. In addition, except for the CDMRP electronic grants system, DoD organizations could not effectively search award systems to identify all contracts, subcontracts, grants, and subgrants that may have been related to pathogen research performed by China and other foreign countries. As a result, DoD organizations could not produce a complete population of pathogen research grants and subawards necessary for us to conclude on the use of DoD funds provided for pathogen research.

But US-funded research labs are not only limited to Communist China.

In June 2022 the Defense Department also admitted that they were funding 46 US military-funded biolabs in war torn Ukraine. Victoria Nuland admitted during testimony before a US Senate committee the existence of biological research labs in Ukraine.

Russia released alleged captured documents from Ukraine exposing evidence of US Military Biolabs in Ukraine.

Russia made the accusations in front of the United Nations General Assembly.

Steve Bannon’s Team Files Emergency Stay Application with US Supreme Court to Keep Him Out of Federal Prison in Lead-Up to 2024 Election in Democrats’ Latest Election Interference

Next to Donald Trump, Steve Bannon is the leading voice in the MAGA movement.

On Thursday, Steve Bannon lost his appeal to delay the July 1 start of his criminal contempt-of-Congress prison sentence starting in July.

The far left US DC Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against Bannon. Bannon, the former Chief Strategist to former President Donald Trump, will likely seek the intervention of the Supreme Court.

On Friday morning Jeff Clark, the Former US DOJ Double Assistant AG, posted this on Twitter. Steve Bannon has only nine days left until he will be sent to prison for the four months leading up to the 2024 election – the most important election in the last 150 years!

We can’t let this happen! Next to Donald Trump, Steve Bannon is the leading voice in the MAGA movement.

There are only 9 days left to keep Bannon out of federal prison.

Bannon’s team has just filed an emergency stay application in the Supreme Court. See snapshot of first two pages below.

The House needs to get a move on to file an amicus brief in support of the emergency application.

Republicans must act to prevent this from happening!

Biden’s Student Debt Cancellation a Main Cause of $400B Increase in ’24 Deficit

President Joe Biden’s executive actions taken to cancel student loan debt are a primary cause of a $400 billion increase in the federal government’s projected deficit for 2024.

On Tuesday, the Congressional Budget Office released a revised estimate up from February, calculating the deficit will total $1.9 trillion.

In its report, the CBO said the cost of Biden’s student loan cancellation is expected to be $145 billion more than the agency estimated in February.

But the CBO noted their projection could be $66 billion too low depending on whether a Biden administration rule change on student loans can be finalized by the end of the fiscal year, which is Sept. 30.

In which case the total increase in cost could be as high as $211 billion for the year, according to calculations by The Wall Street Journal.

In August 2023, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled against Biden’s original student loan forgiveness plan, finding the president exceeded his executive authority.

The total cost of the plan, which relied on language found in the HEROES Act of 2003, was estimated to be $430 billion.

In its 6-3 decision the Court said, “It is ‘highly unlikely that Congress’ authorized such a sweeping loan cancellation program ‘through such a subtle device as permission to ‘modify,’” quoting from case precedent.

The justices stated that such “major questions” must be decided through congressional action.

Since that ruling, Biden announced several smaller steps, relying on different legal authority, but these moves are also being challenged in court.

Besides the administration’s student debt cancellation programs, other drivers of the $400 billion increase in this year’s deficit include the $95 billion defense appropriations for the wars in Ukraine and Israel, as well as shoring up allied military preparedness in the Indo-Pacific region Congress passed in February.

Additionally, the federal government incurred $70 billion in costs due to bank failures.

Further, Medicaid costs came in $50 billion higher than expected, and the federal government passed $60 billion more in new discretionary spending programs.

A primary component of the federal budget deficit overall is increased interest payment costs in servicing the national debt, which is expected to exceed $1 trillion by fiscal year 2026.

A graphic from the Federal Reserve shows the U.S. interest payments this year will exceed the total cost of funding the Defense Department, which has been the largest single ticket item besides the entitlement programs of Social Security and Medicare.

US federal interest payments now exceed the defense budget. pic.twitter.com/joZadHMP0U

— (((The Daily Shot))) (@SoberLook) June 18, 2024

The nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget further broke down the interest payment number for the fiscal year, which ends on Sept. 30.

“At a projected $870 billion, interest will surpass total spending on national defense ($822 billion) in 2024 and grow well beyond the defense budget over time,” the CRFB said.

By way of comparison, it noted net interest payments on the debt were $223 billion in fiscal year 2015 and $352 billion in fiscal year 2021, which included Biden’s first nine months in office.

Some major new spending that passed under Biden included the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, which had no Republican support in Congress; the $1 trillion infrastructure bill, which garnered some GOP support in the Senate and a handful of members in the House; and the Inflation Reduction Act, which had no GOP backing.

In April 2023, researchers at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, working with the investment firm Goldman Sachs, updated their estimated cost of the IRA’s green initiatives from $385 billion over a 10-year period to more than $1 trillion.

The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board, in a Wednesday opinion piece titled “Soaring U.S. Debt Is a Spending Problem,” noted that federal revenue as a percentage of Gross Domestic Product (the total size of the economy) has been stable.

“Revenue is expected to total 17.2% of GDP this year—roughly the 50-year average before the pandemic,” but, they added that spending is expected to hit 24.2 percent of GDP this year.

It has only exceeded 24 percent once since World War II, in 2009, during Barack Obama’s first year in office where he addressed the financial crisis via a “stimulus binge.”

Total federal expenditures in FY 2023 were $6.1 trillion, not far behind the $6.6 trillion spent in 2020 during the height of the pandemic.

This compares compares a pre-pandemic $4.4 trillion with a $984 billion deficit in fiscal 2019 under then-President Donald Trump.

“If spending as a share of GDP remained at the pre-pandemic average, the deficit would be roughly $890 billion this year,” the editorial board noted.

They recommended if Trump wins in November and wants to keep his current tax policies in place, “the best way to finance that is by repealing the Biden spending blowouts in the Inflation Reduction Act, student-loan write-offs and pandemic-era welfare expansions.

“Failing to take on that challenge means either a monumental tax increase or a debt panic down the road.”

MSM Defames MAGA Michigan State Rep. – Media Caught Lying about 3AM Stripper Shootout

Rep. Neil Friske is one of the most conservative pro-Trump members of the Michigan House of Representatives, and last night was arrested for alleged assault in the state capital, Lansing.

Immediately the accusation was salacious: the mainstream media claimed that Rep. Friske fired gunshots at a stripper shortly before 3 A.M. after a dispute. The implication was that Rep. Friske met the woman at a south Lansing strip club, Deja Vu, and brought her home for sex, and then during a dispute started shooting at her and chased her down the road. This was what the media pushed through its disinformation networks.

But of course none of that is true.

Friske has told several sources that he was awoken at his home to a 3 A.M. robbery, saw an intruder, and started shooting. The robber was trying to take a briefcase as they fled, and the briefcase was left by the police on the lawn of his residence. Friske said it was likely the briefcase was simply left by police on the lawn. He was arrested and has been unable to make any public statement so far.

The media ran with a bogus, obviously-untrue story, because it hurt a conservative and they knew Friske was silenced by virtue of being in jail.

Friske is widely known in Lansing to never drink alcohol, and is known as a soft spoken, pleasant, and upstanding legislator. The idea that he would be drunkenly paying a hooker at 3 A.M. and then shooting her in the street is completely out of character.

Here are left-wing fake news disinformation outlets that are quietly changing their story: Detroit Free Press, MLive, Bridge Magazine, Detroit News.

But the damage was done. The smear has been made. The narrative has been set. Friske, unable to offer any other side to the story because he was being held without bail, has been unable to say anything while the media spun these lies against him.

The lies started with unreliable and dishonest MIRS News, which is a Capitol-focused blog whose audience is almost exclusively legislators, quoted anonymous sources as saying the Friske incident involved a stripper.

Other media outlets then quoted MIRS and amplified the smear campaign across the nation.

Several outlets have not yet updated their smear stories: The Daily Mail and the New York Post.

Now, none are admitting that they spread these lies and are quietly updating their stories.

In the public’s mind, the reputational damage has been done. Here are some lying left-wing accounts that are now spreading the MSM’s original lies about Rep. Friske:

And his colleagues in the House Republican Caucus have been cowardly and conspicuously quiet.

This is an ongoing disinformation campaign to affect not just one election, but also to flip the elections in favor of Democrats who are polling horribly in Michigan. Several Lansing insiders claim that this is what real ‘election interference’ looks like: media smear campaigns encouraged by billionaire elites who cover their tracks using dishonest reporters like Craig Mauger at the Detroit News.

What’s going on is that the House Republican Leadership led by RINO Matt Hall has a common interest with the far-left: purging conservatives from the legislature. Instead of trying to win just one more seat to gain a majority, RINO Matt Hall has been busy recruiting primary challengers to the most conservative representatives, including Friske.

RINO House GOP Leader Matt Hall

Matt Hall has so far refused to comment on any of the Friske stories.

RINO Matt Hall was accused of domestic violence, which was documented on audio later leaked to the Gateway Pundit, and all charges were dropped. Insiders say Hall has also been able to get DUI’s dropped and cleared off of his record quietly in addition to a wide variety of other alleged crimes.

RINO Matt Hall and his big money RINO establishment money funders like Betsy DeVos recruited RINO Parker Fairbairn to run against Friske. RINO Fairbairn has used far-left talking points and votes Friske took against Democrat bills to argue that he isn’t a good Republican. Establishment Republicans have been gleefully repeating this smear against Friske for multiple motives, including anger at Friske for standing by Kristina Karamo during the past 18 months of state party drama and infighting.

Fairbairn’s family are close personal friends with Betsy DeVos. DeVos and her employees are the main funders of Fairbairn.

RINO Parker Fairbairn challenging Neil Friske

A small group of liberal billionaires, largely led by Betsy DeVos, control the Republican Party funding in Michigan.

Now the RINO-recruited primary challenger gets to benefit from the media’s smear campaign against Friske to defeat him in the Republican primary.

Millions of dollars in media power has been spent to influence Friske’s primary race, and the quiet corrections the media does to its massive defamation and disinformation campaign won’t change people’s faulty first impressions.

The media smear campaigns never start against the far-left, only against legislators like Neil Friske who have 100% conservative voting records.

Nobody cares about the truth of the matter, which is that Friske is innocent and that these charges come from notoriously corrupt County and law enforcement in Michigan.

Ingham County is also where the 2020 Trump electors are being prosecuted on made-up charges where certifying the slate of alternative electors is being falsely compared to a criminal law charge for check fraud.

What is known is that the Ingham County law enforcement are some of the most corrupt in the state, the judges in Ingham County are some of the most political in the state, and the far-left has been weaponizing itself against conservatives for years.

By the evening of the day they busily defamed and smeared Friske, the lying liberal media was already quietly covering its tracks, covering up their slimy sleazy stories, and changing their tune.

Friske has still not been brought before a judge and arraigned, he is scheduled to do so Friday at noon. Friske was prevented from attending session of the Michigan legislature and was unable to vote on Wednesday.

Even friends of Friske were slow to come to his defense, saying that they wanted to wait for police reports to come out, or for ‘all the facts to emerge.’

Democrats control the Michigan House by one vote, 56-54.

US Drug Shortages Reach Critical Levels, Prompting Urgent Calls for Action

A troubling new report reveals that the United States is experiencing its most severe drug shortages in over a decade, with life-saving medications becoming increasingly scarce. According to the latest data, there are now 323 active drug shortages, surpassing previous records and raising significant concerns about patient care and public health.

The shortages are affecting a wide range of medications, including critical chemotherapy drugs, antibiotics, and emergency medications. Hospitals across the country are struggling to manage these shortages, which are forcing doctors to make difficult treatment decisions and, in some cases, delay essential care for patients.

There are now 180 Entries on the FDA list of Drug Shortages, June.

“Resolved”, does not necessarily mean “healthy supply” for a surge in demand. https://t.co/JNEUrBlSC2 pic.twitter.com/kzx0HsuUIC

— Jammer (@AcrossTheMersey) July 17, 2023

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) attributes the shortages to multiple factors, including economic pressures on generic drug manufacturers, supply chain disruptions, and quality control issues at production facilities. Paul Abramowitz, CEO of ASHP, emphasized that these challenges are creating a crisis not just of quantity but of quality, with significant implications for patient safety and healthcare delivery.

The Biden administration has come under fire from Republicans for what they perceive as inadequate handling of the situation. Critics argue that the administration’s focus on other policy areas has left critical vulnerabilities in the nation’s drug supply chain unaddressed. The administration recently released a white paper outlining potential solutions, but many believe more immediate and decisive action is needed.

Does anyone think she has the capacity to deal with drug shortages ? She just seems vacant.

Perhaps if we mention to Michael Gove drug shortages he may spur himself into action? pic.twitter.com/yRU75IzmAf

— Chris (@Oakymoron) January 21, 2024

Among the proposed solutions are increasing domestic production of critical drugs, enhancing FDA inspection capabilities, and establishing strategic stockpiles of essential medications. However, these measures require significant investment and coordination across federal agencies and private sector partners, which some argue is not happening quickly enough.

The shortages are having a pronounced impact on patients with cancer and other severe illnesses. Dr. Amanda Fader of Johns Hopkins Medicine highlighted the dire situation faced by oncologists, who are struggling to secure enough chemotherapy drugs to treat their patients. The scarcity of platinum-based drugs, such as cisplatin and carboplatin, is particularly concerning, as these are essential for treating various types of cancer.

In addition to chemotherapy drugs, other critical medications like ADHD treatments and sterile injectable drugs used in emergency and procedural settings are also in short supply. This widespread scarcity is placing enormous pressure on healthcare providers and compromising patient care across the country.

As the situation deteriorates, there is growing bipartisan support for legislative action to address the root causes of these shortages. Policymakers are calling for reforms that ensure a more resilient and reliable drug supply chain, including incentives for domestic manufacturing and stricter quality controls on international production facilities.

The escalating drug shortage crisis underscores the urgent need for comprehensive policy solutions that prioritize patient safety and healthcare stability. As lawmakers and healthcare leaders grapple with this challenge, the stakes could not be higher for millions of Americans who rely on these essential medications.

Hospital Cyberattack Raises Concerns Over Operational Lapses

Ascension, one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the United States, has been grappling with the aftermath of a significant ransomware attack since early May. This incident has brought to light serious operational vulnerabilities and has had a cascading impact on patient care across its facilities nationwide.

The cyberattack, which was detected on May 8, forced Ascension to take many of its electronic systems offline, including those crucial for patient documentation, medication ordering, and test results. This disruption has persisted for weeks, severely hampering the ability of medical staff to provide efficient care and raising significant safety concerns.

The attack was reportedly initiated when an Ascension employee inadvertently downloaded malware, leading to unauthorized access to the hospital’s network. The initial response involved shutting down affected systems to prevent further spread, which resulted in the suspension of electronic health records (EHR) access and other critical functions across 19 states.

In the wake of the attack, Ascension has been working tirelessly to restore its systems. As of early June, the hospital chain announced partial restoration of its EHR systems in several locations, including Florida, Alabama, and Austin, Texas. Full restoration across all facilities is expected by mid-June.

The prolonged downtime of electronic systems has had a notable impact on patient care, particularly in critical units. Nurses at Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph in Wichita have reported significant challenges in managing medication dosages and verifying patient information, which are crucial for the care of vulnerable patients such as preterm babies.

Lisa Watson, a medical ICU nurse, described the situation as “a recipe for disaster,” highlighting the risks of medication errors due to the lack of automated systems. This sentiment was echoed by other medical professionals who pointed out that manual processes are not only time-consuming but also prone to errors.

The Ascension cyberattack is part of a growing trend of ransomware attacks targeting healthcare institutions. These attacks exploit vulnerabilities in outdated or poorly secured systems, often demanding hefty ransoms to restore access. The prolonged recovery time in Ascension’s case has drawn criticism from cybersecurity experts who argue that health systems should have more robust backup and recovery protocols in place.

In response to these challenges, Ascension has offered credit monitoring and identity theft protection services to affected patients and employees. Additionally, there is a push for enhanced cybersecurity measures to prevent future incidents and ensure the resilience of healthcare IT infrastructure.

Dirty FOX News Polling Is at It Again – Shamelessly Setting the Table for Another Potential Joe Biden Steal

Biden 2020 rally with circles for social distancing. There was no excitement for Old Joe.

In 2020 President Trump won more votes than any sitting president in US history.
Trump increased his vote totals by 12 million votes in 2020 over his initial win in 2016.

Biden won the fewest number of counties in the 2020 election by any alleged “winner” in history – winning only 16% of all US counties.

In this same election, President Trump improved in EVERY major category.

** President Trump won more Hispanic votes.
** President Trump won more female votes.
** Trump won more black votes.
** President Trump won more gay votes.
** President Trump won more immigrant votes.

But somehow, Democrat Joe Biden, who did not campaign and could barely string together two coherent sentences, supposedly won 81 million votes!?!

We know Democrats used several means to score illegal votes in several states in the 2020 election.

We witnessed them counting ballots behind closed doors, bringing in endless piles of surprise ballots days after the election, locking Republicans out of the counting rooms, pulling boxes of ballots out from under tables when all the observers were sent home, driving in vanloads of ballots in the early hours of the morning after Joe Biden fell far behind, stuffing stacks of ballots into unsupervised ballot drop boxes.

So how did Joe do it? How did Democrats steal the 2020 election for Old Joe?

In October 2021 we finally were told how Joe Biden was able to pull off his miraculous win.

Huffington Post reported that it was “low-income white voters” who gave Joe Biden the win.

This was preposterous on its face since everyone knows Trump owned the working-class voters like no other president in the last 100 years.

But it did give us a clue on where they found their mysterious votes.

Via The Huffington Post.

High turnout among low-income voters in the 2020 election — especially in battleground states — helped deliver victories for Joe Biden and Democrats in the Senate and House, concluded the study, “Waking the Sleeping Giant,” by the Poor People’s Campaign. The organization, an advocate for low-income Americans, launched a nonpartisan voter registration drive ahead of the 2020 vote across 16 states…

…But the 2020 elections saw the highest voter turnout in U.S.history, including among poor and low-income voters, noted the study.

Of the 168 million Americans who voted last year, 59 million of them— 35% of the total — had an estimated annual household income of less than $50,000, classifying them as “poor” or low-income, the analysis found.

Where the margin of Biden’s victory was a squeaker-thin 3% or less, low-income Americans accounted for 34% to 45% of the voting population (Arizona 39.96%), Georgia (37.84%), Michigan (37.81%), Nevada (35.78%), North Carolina (43.67%), Pennsylvania (34.12%) and Wisconsin (39.80%), according to the study.

The low-income voters included large numbers of white Americans as well as people of color.

The figures “challenge … the media-driven narrative that … white low-income voters are the de facto base of the Republican Party and delivered Donald Trump into the White House” in 2016, wrote study author Shailly Gupta Barnes.

Read the rest of this nonsense here.

So if this was true then wouldn’t you expect that the Democrats and their mainstream media hacks would bend over backwards to praise and prop up lower-income white voters?

You would think Democrats would cheer this group of Americans, right?

Wrong!

This is not the case at all.  In fact, the hottest book on the toxic elitist circles today is White Rural Rage.

The very same group that the Democrats claim won them the Biden White House is the same group they are viciously attacking as a threat to democracy!

How could that be?

Of course, we all know the answer to that question.  The left is demonizing and attacking lower class – working class whites in rural America because that is the voting group that threatens their power.

On Thursday FOX News released another of its notoriously fraudulent polls.

In this latest fake news poll, FOX News insists that Joe Biden is leading Trump with rural voters, who he vehemently loathes.

Via Catturd2 and Johnny maga

What a steaming pile of crap!

Democrats fear the rural voters. Democrats avoid the rural voters at all costs. Democrats are disgusted by rural Americans. Everyone knows that is a fact.

President Trump won 2,593 counties in the 2020 election to Joe Biden’s 558 counties.

Trump carried an estimated 98% of the rural counties.

So why would FOX News push such a blatant lie?

This is more evidence that you can NEVER trust a FOX News poll.  NEVER!

This is also a warning that Democrats are going for the steal in 2024.  Be prepared.
