Stacy Gates-Davis, President of the Chicago Teachers Union

While the Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) is in the midst of contract negotiations asking taxpayers to cough up a staggering $50 billion, CTU President Stacy Davis Gates recently stated that conservatives do not want Black children to read.

She even suggested it is “part of the oath they take to be right wing.”

While the union’s eye-popping demands have not been made public, Fox News reports a leaked document that reveals they are asking for a 9% wage hike, fully paid abortions for its members, new migrant services and facilities, and a myriad of LGBT-related and green-related requirements.

According to Fox News, the state of Illinois’s total base tax receipts last year were $50.7 billion.

Davis Gates joined Craig Dellimore on WBBM News’s “At Issue” on Sunday to discuss the union’s excessive and outlandish demands.

Dellimore asked Davis Gates about the criticism from conservatives for the contract being “too big” and suggestions that many of the elements are not directly related to educational endeavors.

Fox News reported on Davis Gates’ remarks:

“Conservatives don’t even want Black children to be able to read,” Davis Gates said. “Remember, these same conservatives are the conservatives who probably would have been championing Black codes, you know, during reconstruction or thereafter. So, forgive me again if conservatives pushing back on educating immigrant children, Black children, children who live in poverty, doesn’t make my anxiety go up. That’s what they’re supposed to say. That is literally a part of the oath that they take to be right wing.”

The excessive union demands come despite Chicago public schools failing their students, and while academic rigor in Illinois continues to slip lower and lower.

A recent Illinois State Board of Education report card is dreadful.

In 30 schools in Illinois, not a single student can read at grade level, 22 of which are in the City of Chicago.

In 53 schools, not a single student can do math at grade level, 33 of which are in  Chicago.

It’s no wonder Davis Gates sends one of her children to a private Catholic high school in Chicago.

The Secret Service destroyed video of Joe Biden’s dog Commander biting an agent in a brutal attack that drew blood.

New documents obtained by conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch reveal Joe Biden is personally responsible for attacks by his German Shepherd Commander.

These documents were obtained after Judicial Watch reported that Joe Biden abuses his dogs. According to a Judicial Watch source, Joe Biden punches and kicks his dogs.

According to emails obtained by Judicial Watch, Joe Biden watched as his dog aggressively bit a Secret Service agent’s arm two times in a row.

Documents show Commander is behind at least 23 biting incidents. Biden’s other German Shepherd Major is behind at least 10 biting incidents.

In one biting incident, the White House had to shut down tours to wipe blood off the floor.

“In February 2024 Judicial Watch received 269 pages of records related to incidents of aggression by Commander, including at least 23 biting incidents. After one incident, East Wing public tours were stopped for approximately 20 minutes due to the blood on the floor. These records include a spreadsheet of 22 incident reports between October 2022 and June 2023, 10 of which required medical treatment,” Judicial Watch reported.

The Daily Mail filed a FOIA lawsuit and requested video of the dog-biting incidents. The Secret Service told the Daily Mail the video of the brutal attack no longer exists.

The Secret Service destroyed a video that captured President Joe Biden’s dog Commander chomping down on one of its agents – in an attack that forced the White House to shut down tours so blood could be wiped off the floor.

DailyMail.com filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the Secret Service in March after a video was mentioned as part of an email that detailed a June 15, 2023 biting incident with the since-banished first dog.

The video purportedly showed Commander running at a high rate of speed and jumping toward the agent in the East Wing’s Kennedy Garden, leaving a ‘deep bite’ on the individual’s left arm ‘that reportedly needed stitches,’ the email said.

‘East Wing Tours were stopped for approximately 20 minutes due to blood from the incident being on the floors in the area of the Booksellers,’ the message continued, referencing the room that is just inside from the garden.

The Secret Service’s Freedom of Information Act Officer Kevin Tyrrell wrote to DailyMail.com in a letter Friday that ‘Due to Secret Service retention standards, the above mentioned file(s) has been destroyed.’

The Monolith Mania continues unabated in the United States the United Kingdom.

Another ten-foot-tall block of steel, resembling the distinctive shape of the Swiss chocolate bar Toblerone, has been found, this time in the Nevada desert near Las Vegas.

The artifact sighting is the latest in a series of similar events happening across the US, UK and elsewhere in Europe.

Multiple monoliths were sighted since 2020, including one in Utah, one in California, one at UK’s Isle of Wight and one at the Merry Maidens megalithic stone circle in Cornwall, which attracted enormous curiosity.

New York Post reported:

“The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says the shiny, reflective structure – similar to one found in Utah years ago – was spotted by its search and rescue unit near Gass Peak over the weekend. 

‘We see a lot of weird things when people go hiking like not being prepared for the weather, not bringing enough water… but check this out!’ police wrote on X alongside an image of the monolith.”

Besides the US and the UK, similar artifacts have also been found in Belgium and Romania.

Back in November 2020, one of the 10-feet high monoliths was found by Utah state wildlife employees counting sheep from a helicopter.

A week later, another artifact was discovered in Atascadero, California, north of Los Angeles.

Both British and American authorities share the same complete ignorance about who is placing these metal objects there and why.

A political hurricane blew all over the old continent in the last European Elections.

The Globalist forces in most countries got crushed and lost significant political ground to conservative, populist, nationalist forces that emphasize national sovereignty and reject Brussels’ current policies such as the crippling ‘green new deal’, unchecked mass migration, military support for Ukraine, among others.

Nevertheless, the current President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, even though she presided over the veritable disaster that Europe has become, thinks she can get support to be appointed for a second term.

She may be right about that – but it’s certainly turning out be harder than she may have anticipated.

European Union leaders held a discussion on the bloc’s top jobs for the next five years, but left without agreement.

The decision is expected decision at a summit next week.

This leaders’ meeting was the first since the huge right-wing gains and the humiliating defeats for French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

“Over dinner in Brussels, the EU’s 27 national leaders discussed who should run the powerful European Commission executive body, who should chair their European Council meetings and who should take the post of foreign policy chief.

They had been widely expected to nominate Ursula von der Leyen of Germany for a second term as European Commission chief, Portuguese ex-premier Antonio Costa as Council president and Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas as top diplomat.”

Von der Leyen is still the favorite to stay on as European Commission president, led by electoral gains by her centre-right European People’s Party.

“Thirteen of the 27 EU leaders are from parties belonging to the EPP. With French and German support too, she would have the qualified majority she requires to be nominated.”

The European leaders hope to make a formal decision at a summit on June 27-28.

Von der Leyen and the other 26 members of the Commission, including the foreign policy chief, will then need to be approved by parliamentary vote.

Politico reported:

“’There is no agreement tonight’, European Council President Charles Michel told reporters late Monday night after the leaders’ dinner.

[…] Expectations were high as the 27 heads of state and government met in Brussels in the hope of dividing the bloc’s four top jobs among the current coalition of the center-right European People’s Party, socialists and liberals.”

Macron and Scholz getting crushed also sped the talks. Typically, negotiations take weeks.

“But hopes of a quick deal evaporated Monday night as the European People’s Party, the winner of the European Parliament election, asked for more concessions and more power among the top jobs roles.”

The EPP wants half of the mandate of the President of the European Council, a position that would go to the Socialists. That soured the negotiations.

As I anticipated here, the current Council president Charles Michel is quietly hindering his former ally von der Leyen.

“The official added that Michel did not help in the discussions. ‘Instead of helping to find a deal, he kept bringing up other things’, the official said.”

Judge blocks attempt to erase biological women

For the third time in just recent weeks, Joe Biden’s “sex” agenda has crashed and burned when it has faced a federal judge.

The newest rejection of his rewrite to the decades-old Title IX law that changes the definition of “sex” to “gender identity” or ideology, comes from a judge in Kentucky who, in his preliminary injunction, protected women in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Virginia and Weste Virginia.

Biden’s Department of Education has redefined “sex” from the 1972 law to include all sorts of alternative sexual ideologies, insisting that’s what Congress meant when it approved a ban on discrimination against men or women in school activities at the time.

Biden’s rules would force biological women to share private spaces, like showers and locker rooms, with gender-confused biological males.

“The radical rewrite of Title IX regulations eradicates privacy, safety, and fairness for biological women and girls. The lawsuits against forcing gender ideology in education have merit and the Biden administration’s obsession with erasing women must stop,” explained Liberty Counsel chief Mat Staver.

Just days ago, a Louisiana judge granted a similar injunction for the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana and Idaho, and a Texas judge ruled for his state earlier.

According to Liberty Counsel’s report, “These injunctions prevent the updated rules from taking effect in these 11 states while litigation continues in each case to determine permanent decisions. The move responsible for the multitude of lawsuits came April 29 when the DOE published the Title IX Final Rule on the Federal Register, which expanded the definition of ‘sex’ and ‘sex discrimination’ to include ‘gender identity’ and ‘sexual orientation’ as protected categories against discrimination.”

That change in the law, without approval from Congress, is supposed to hit the books in August.

The ruling is from Judge Danny C. Reeves.

He found, “Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 was intended to level the playing field between men and women in education. The statute tells us that no person shall be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance ‘on the basis of sex.’ However, the Department of Education seeks to derail deeply rooted law with a Final Rule that is set to go into effect on August 1, 2024. At bottom, the Department would turn Title IX on its head by redefining ‘sex’ to include ‘gender identity.’ But ‘sex’ and ‘gender identity’ do not mean the same thing. The Department’s interpretation conflicts with the plain language of Title IX and therefore exceeds its authority to promulgate regulations under that statute. This Court is not persuaded by the Department’s reliance on the Supreme Court’s decision Bostock v. Clayton County, Georgia, —a case that was explicitly limited to the context of employment discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act…:”

WND reported earlier when the Louisiana ruling was released that the judge pointed out, “Nothing in the statute expressly prohibits discrimination based on gender identity or other unexpressed grounds. And where Title IX allows for differentiation based on sex due to biological differences—such as intimate facilities and athletic teams—recipients may treat persons in accordance with their biological sex without regard to subjective gender identity.”

He said, “Title IX explicitly appreciates the innate biological variation between men and women that occasionally warrants differentiation—and even separation—to preserve educational opportunities and to promote respect for both sexes. Rather than promote the equal opportunity, dignity, and respect that Title IX demands for both biological sexes, Defendants’ Guidance Documents do the opposite in an effort to advance an agenda wholly divorced from the text, structure, and contemporary context of Title IX.”

Further, he noted, “Not to mention, recipients of Title IX funding—including Texas schools—will face an impossible choice: revise policies in compliance with the Guidance Documents but in contravention of state law or face the loss of substantial funding. Thus, to allow Defendants’ unlawful action to stand would be to functionally rewrite Title IX in a way that shockingly transforms American education and usurps a major question from Congress. That is not how our democratic system functions.”

That ruling said when the 1972 law was adopted, and refers to “sex,” it “carried an unambiguously binary meaning.”

President Biden announced Tuesday the creation of a program through executive order to grant amnesty and a pathway to citizenship to an estimated 500,000 illegal aliens who are married to American citizens.

Biden’s plans operate as an extension of the “parole in place” program, which allows noncitizens to work and live in the U.S. Under the extended program, those eligible will have three years to apply for citizenship (in time for the 2028 elections). 

Biden’s order is expected to be touted at a White House event commemorating the 12-year anniversary of Barack Obama’s DACA program, which prevented the deportation of illegal aliens who entered the U.S. as minors. Biden’s order also makes DACA recipients eligible for Obamacare.

Biden’s decision kicks against the pricks of current public opinion. For instance, a CBS News/YouGov poll taken earlier in June found that the American public favors mass deportations of illegals by a margin of 62 percent. A majority of Hispanics are in favor of such a move as well.

Biden’s executive order may face numerous legal hurdles, much as DACA did. One difference: The current composition of the Supreme Court is considerably more conservative than it was at the time of the DACA challenge.

A New York Appeals court on Tuesday denied Trump’s bid to appeal a gag order in Alvin Bragg’s case after a jury already returned a guilty verdict.

President Trump previously asked the Court to lift the gag order “because the trial has concluded.”

Biden’s DOJ hatchet man Matthew Colangelo earlier this month asked Merchan to keep the gag order in place to “avoid threats to the fairness of the trial itself.”

Alvin Bragg’s prosecutors asked Judge Juan Merchan to keep Trump’s gag order in place even though a jury returned a guilty verdict in the ‘hush money.’

Matthew Colangelo opposed Trump’s bid to lift the gag order in the Stormy Daniels ‘hush money’ case.

New York’s high court dismissed Trump’s appeal “upon the ground that no substantial constitutional question is directly involved.”

CNBC reported:

New York’s highest court on Tuesday dismissed former President Donald Trump’s appeal of the gag order in his criminal hush money trial.

The New York Court of Appeals in a brief decision declined to hear Trump’s bid “upon the ground that no substantial constitutional question is directly involved.”

The decision means Trump’s gag order, which bars him from speaking about jurors, witnesses and other parties involved in the Manhattan Supreme Court case, remains in effect.

Trump’s attorneys have also asked Judge Juan Merchan to terminate the gag order.

Recall that Judge Merchan expanded his gag order against Trump to bar the former president from criticizing his family members.

The judge’s daughter, Loren Merchan, is a far-left political operative who worked for the Biden-Harris campaign. The media has infantilized 34-year-old Loren Merchan in an effort to attack Trump’s First Amendment-protected speech.

Loren Merchan’s firm, Authentic Campaigns, Inc., has received tens of millions of dollars from Democrats who want to take down Trump.

According to The New York Post, Loren Merchan helped Democrats raise $93 million off of her father’s case.

Newsmax host Greta Van Susteren reported on Monday that the Connecticut Bar warned state lawyers that dissenting opinions in the Alvin Bragg lawfare suit against President Donald Trump will not be tolerated.

This is the latest move by Democrats to silence and control the American people. Unapproved thoughts will not be tolerated.

Of course, Democrats can do this when they control all of the levers of power in the country.

God help us.

Greta Van Susteren:  A warning from a lawyers group the Connecticut Bar Association the warning is directed at lawyers who dare to speak out and express disdain for fairness of former President Donald Trump’s trial in New York on Friday.

The Connecticut Bar Association released this message it reads in part quote “Public officials have issued statements claiming that the trial was a sham a hoax and rigged our justice system is corrupt and rigged the judge was corrupt and highly unethical and at the jury was partisan and precooked.”

It goes on to quote these claims, “These claims are unsubstantiated and reckless. Such statements can provoke acts of violence against those serving the public as employees of the judicial branch.”

The Connecticut Bar Association goes on further quote. “It’s up to us as lawyers to defend the courts and our judges as individuals and as an Association, we cannot let the charged political climate in which we live dismantle the third branch of government.” End quote.

By the way, criticism of the judicial system, besides being protected by the First Amendment, is certainly not new. Here’s a sample. Back in March 2020, the United States Supreme Court, the highest court, heard arguments in its first major abortion case since Trump appointed Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch joining the bench.

During those arguments, then Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, now majority leader, spoke outside the Supreme Court and an abortion rights rally.

Schumer:” I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

Well, as far as I could find, the Connecticut Bar Association did not have anything to say about those critical remarks.

As an aside, there is a First Amendment right to be rude and to criticize. And you would think a lawyer’s group would know that!

An illegal alien who was deported from the United States a staggering sixteen (16) times has been charged with killing a 64-year-old in a vehicle crash.

Ignacio Cruz-Mendoza, 47, was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, reckless driving, and driving without a commercial driver’s license in connection with the death of 64-year-old Scott Miller. Another victim is said to be seriously injured.

The driver of a semi truck who was arrested in connection to a fatal crash on US 285 last week was in the U.S. illegally and had been ordered to be removed to Mexico less than two weeks before the crash, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) told Denver7 Investigates.

Ignacio Cruz-Mendoza, 47, was driving a semi involved in a fatal crash on US 285 near Conifer last Tuesday, June 11. Colorado State Patrol announced his arrest two days later on charges of vehicular assault and vehicular homicide.

An ICE spokesperson said Monday that it had been aware of Mendoza since an arrest in Jefferson County in April of 2002. Since then, ICE says, he has faced multiple removals and returned to Mexico at least 16 times. The latest was on May 29 of this year, ICE said.

Mendoza was reportedly working for an American company as a trucker at the time of the incident:

Denver7 Investigates has learned Mendoza was driving for a company called Monique Trucking, LLC at the time of the crash and has reached out to the company for response to Mendoza’s immigration history.

According to CSP’s investigation, Mendoza was driving a semi southbound on US 285 near Conifer on Tuesday afternoon. He was hauling pipes and angle iron. Around 5 p.m., near milepost 232 south of Conifer, he allegedly drove off the edge of the road, rolling the semi onto its side and dumping the load on top of five vehicles, CSP said.

Such cases of illegal aliens making a mockery of America’s immigration and justice system have become commonplace under the Biden regime, as millions of people continue to cross the southern border every year.

Last month, Fermin Garcia-Gutierrez, another 46-year-old Mexican national, was charged with premeditated murder, using weapons while intoxicated, carrying concealed weapons, possession of drugs, and obstructing official business.
