Judge Aileen Cannon on Monday dismissed Jack Smith’s classified documents case based on unlawful appointment and funding of the special counsel.

The charges waged against Trump and his co-defendants Walt Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira were all tossed.

Jack Smith indicted Trump on 37 federal counts in Miami in June 2023 for lawfully storing presidential records at his Mar-a-Lago estate which was protected by Secret Service agents.

Trump was charged with 31 counts under the Espionage Act of willful retention of national defense information and 6 other process crimes stemming from his conversations with his lawyer.

Last July Jack Smith hit Trump with 3 additional charges in the investigation into classified documents stored at Mar-a-Lago. The superseding indictment, filed in the Southern District of Florida, claims Trump was part of a scheme to delete security footage from Mar-a-Lago.

Judge Cannon dismissed the ENTIRE case: . “The clerk is directed to close this case,” Cannon wrote.

Cannon dismissed Jack Smith’s case based on both unconstitutional elements: The appointment by US Attorney Merrick Garland and the unlimited funding given to Jack Smith – both without the approval of Congress.

“Upon careful study of the foundational challenges raised in the Motion, the Court is convinced that Special Counsel’s Smith’s prosecution of this action breaches two structural cornerstones of our constitutional scheme—the role of Congress in the appointment of constitutional officers, and the role of Congress in authorizing expenditures by law,” Cannon wrote in her order.

“Both the Appointments and Appropriations challenges as framed in the Motion raise the following threshold question: is there a statute in the United States Code that authorizes the appointment of Special Counsel Smith to conduct this prosecution?” Judge Cannon wrote. “After careful study of this seminal issue, the answer is no.”

“The bottom line is this: The Appointments Clause is a critical constitutional restriction stemming from the separation of powers, and it gives to Congress a considered role in determining the propriety of vesting appointment power for inferior officers,” the judge wrote in a 93-page filing.

“The Special Counsel’s position effectively usurps that important legislative authority, transferring it to a Head of Department, and in the process threatening the structural liberty inherent in the separation of powers,” Cannon wrote.

Jack Smith is going to appeal Cannon’s decision to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

“A spokesman for Smith said the Department of Justice later Monday had authorized the special counsel to appeal Cannon’s decision tossing the case to the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.” CNBC reported.

“The dismissal of the case deviates from the uniform conclusion of all previous courts to have considered the issue that the Attorney General is statutorily authorized to appoint a Special Counsel,” said Smith’s spokesman Peter Carr.

An Army veteran highlighted the “gross failures” and “major security lapses” that allowed a would-be assassin to hit President Trump with a bullet on Saturday.

The Gateway Pundit has reported extensively on the assassination attempt at Trump’s Butler, Pennsylvania rally.

The Gateway Pundit reported that an eyewitness told the BBC that several people witnessed the shooter crawling on the roof of a local building with a rifle before Trump was shot, but they did not act until Trump was shot. According to new reports, a police officer encountered the shooter on the roof but let him go after he pointed the gun at him and before he shot Trump.

We further reported that Secret Service agents may have had a clear view of the shooter from their position at a higher elevation than the shooter behind Trump, yet they did not act.

One of the videos below even shows an agent on the roof adjacent to Trump looking down his scope, seemingly with the assassin in his sights, hesitating, then snapping back to his rifle to return fire at roughly the same time as the first shot.

Hall’s X bio describes him as the “Founder & CEO of http://ID.me” and an “Iraq Combat Vet.” In his post, he identifies himself as “the Sniper Employment Officer for my battalion and led hundreds of combat missions.”

If the powers that be or the Deep State did this, don’t think for a second that they won’t steal another election or try again.

There is a sniper team scanning the rooftop for threats. But, the team only has long guns. You generally want a security element co-located with assault rifles that can engage much faster – especially within 300 meters. They couldn’t engage fast enough.

And now we are witnessing apparent FBI incompetence or a potential cover-up of the truth and future plans of assassination. As The Gateway Pundit reported, Biden’s FBI has announced that they believe the would-be assassin at former President Trump’s Pennsylvania rally on Saturday acted alone. Thomas Matthew Crooks’ cell phone, which could hold vital clues to understanding the motivations and identifying co-conspirators behind the attack, has been transported to the FBI’s forensic lab in Quantico. However, the bureau has failed to access any data so far.

How does some nerdy 20-year-old with a car full of explosives plan and nearly execute the assassination of a United States President–during a highly secured rally surrounded by Secret Service–without help from the people inside and the Democrats outside?

I’ve been predicting JD Vance as Trump’s best choice for many months on my TV and radio shows.

Yet today’s pick appears to have caught many experts in the media…and even many MAGA warriors off guard. They don’t understand it. Especially in light of negative quotes from JD about President Trump over the years. Won’t those be used against Trump by the Biden campaign?

So why would I pick JD for Trump’s VP over all the fine choices out there?

Well to me it’s so clear…

First, JD wasn’t just my personal pick, I predicted he’d be Trump’s pick. I’ve gotten to know Trump well over the past decade. I know how he thinks. We’re both in-your-face, street-fighters from New York. Every prediction I’ve ever made about Trump has been correct. I know of no one else in the media batting 1,000% about Trump. I knew Trump would go with JD.

Second, JD is a Marine vet. He’ll be the first US Marine vet to ever serve as Vice President of the United States. Trump already has 80% of military vets. Now he’ll move up to 90%+.

Third, JD is a poor kid from Midwest working-class roots. He has a rare All-American story similar to mine. That’s how he caught my eye. I went from S.O.B. (son of a butcher) on the Bronx borderline to Valedictorian and Columbia University grad. JD went from “poor roots” in Ohio and Pennsylvania to Yale Law Degree and Editor of Yale Law Review.

Stories like this are what prove the greatness of America.

Fourth, JD wrote the exact same book as me, at the exact same time. I gotta like that guy! He thinks exactly like me. It’s actually bizarre…

I wrote “Angry White Male” in early 2016. JD wrote, “Hillbilly Elegy” at the exact same time. Both books were about the hopes, dreams and problems faced by forgotten working class whites in America.

This is exactly how President Trump and the GOP wins the election- it all goes through working class Midwest roots. As I’ve said for months now- if Trump wins Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania- he wins an electoral landslide.

JD Vance will now be assigned one job above all else- campaign 24/7 “boots on the ground” for the next 120 days in the Midwest. Pound home the point that Trump will protect, defend, empower and enrich forgotten working class Americans in the Midwest (and everywhere else).

JD will make the case that President Trump will lower taxes, get rid of taxes on tips, kill job-killing regulations, and bring manufacturing and energy dominance back to America.

Trump is already winning big nationally. As of today, Trump is up by 10 points in the latest polling by The Democracy Institute/Daily Express US. That’s a double-digit lead in the popular vote. That adds up to a massive Electoral landslide for Trump.

Keep in mind, Trump has now built huge leads in key battleground states like Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona and my home state of Nevada.

But it’s dead even, or a slight lead for Trump in the three key battleground states that remain- Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. All in the Midwest.

JD Vance was born to speak to these forgotten, left behind, working-class, Midwest voters. He was born like them. He grew up like them. He thinks like them. He is them!

I predict JD will live in the Midwest from now until November 5th. This will lead to a Trump/Vance electoral landslide.

Add in three other bonuses….

JD is young (41 years old). He is telegenic, articulate, and passionate. Trump is the first Republican, certainly in modern history, to be ahead with young voters. JD’s youth and enthusiasm will seal the deal with young voters.

He will also mop the floor with Kamala Harris in the VP debate. Can you imagine? A US Marine turned articulate Yale lawyer vs. a cackling moron, who couldn’t even attract any black support in the 2020 Democrat presidential primary (as the only black person in the race).

Lastly, JD was by far the most MAGA choice for VP. His pick will excite the MAGA base. For the first time in modern history, the base has not been thrown aside for a RINO who stands for nothing as the VP (think Pence, Cheney and Paul Ryan).

Now to the only negative- JD said bad things about Trump several years ago. But that can be a positive. Here are the words that turn lemons into lemonade and can be used as a weapon to win the votes of millions of moderate working-class Democrats and independents…

“Yes, I did not like, or trust Donald Trump. I said some negative and yes, even nasty things. That was many years ago. Just like millions of Americans today, I did not know the real President Trump. My opinion changed because I got to know him personally. I saw his love for America. I witnessed his heart for forgotten working-class Americans. And I saw his results as president. He made America great again. He brought back manufacturing. He made us energy independent. He increased middle class income more than anyone in modern history- with no inflation. He cut taxes for middle-class Americans. We had peace throughout the world. Compare that to the disaster of past four years of Biden. Now you know the alternative. Trust me, Trump is the only choice. I’m sorry I ever doubted him. I was wrong. I’ve learned.”

End of story. Case closed. The only negative becomes a rip, roaring positive.

Citing Justice Clarence Thomas’s concurring opinion on the presidential immunity ruling, President Trump’s lawyers asked Cannon to reconsider the motion to dismiss based on the argument that Jack Smith was unlawfully appointed.

Cannon agreed with Trump’s attorneys and dismissed Jack Smith’s case based on both unconstitutional elements: The appointment by US Attorney Merrick Garland and the unlimited funding given to Jack Smith – both without the approval of Congress.

Dallas Alexander, a veteran sniper whose team holds the world record for the longest confirmed sniper kill, has suggested that Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump at a rally on Saturday night, may have had inside help.

Alexander, who spent 14 years in a sniper team for the Canadian military providing close protection for major world leaders including the Canadian Prime Minister, shared his views in an Instagram post.

“I’m a retired sniper so because I’ve been asked so many times here’s my opinion on the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump,” he began, before delving into his analysis of the assassination attempt.

Having served in a tier one special operations unit called JTF2, Alexander is no stranger to high-stakes security scenarios. His experience includes providing security for VIPs in dangerous countries like Iraq and Afghanistan.

“I spent just about 17 years in the military, 14 of which, just about 14 of which we’re at a tier one special operations unit called JTF2. Our sniper team has the world record for the longest confirmed sniper kill. A huge part of our job while I was there and while I was a sniper was doing close protection for VIPs up to and including the Prime Minister, when he would go to dangerous countries like Iraq or Afghanistan, we would be in charge of that security,” said Alexander.

This background gives him unique insights into the layout and security measures typically involved in protecting high-profile individuals such as former President Trump.

Alexander expressed his belief that the shooter must have had assistance from within an agency, organization, or even the government. He argued that it would be impossible for someone to get onto a rooftop with a gun during broad daylight while a president was speaking without assistance.

“I’m very familiar with the layout of these types of things and what the jobs should be. And yesterday, what happened, I have no doubt in my mind that the shooter had help from somewhere within an agency, an organization, or the government,” said Alexander.

“The second I saw that aerial photo of what they were saying happened, it immediately made no sense to me. You cannot, in broad daylight, get onto a rooftop within what looked like maybe a couple of hundred yards. You can’t get into that position with a gun when there’s a president speaking. It cannot be done. You don’t even need to be a sniper to know that it’s the most f—king obvious thing, the most obvious place in the whole world.”

“So something happened, and I’m not pointing fingers at anyone. It’s too obvious that this guy had help getting there. So whether someone turned a blind eye or it was strategically planned, I mean, it had to be planned to a certain level because events like that and security like that, it’s not a small thing. And that is the most obvious place to be.”

Alexander went on to question the narrative that Crooks managed to sneak into position undetected. He argued that if someone had the skills to bypass layers of security undetected, they would also have the skills to make their shot count.

“I find it very strange that if the story that comes out is like, ‘Oh, yeah, he snuck into position and he got set up and nobody saw him. It was an oversight, security, and overwatch, and we just made a mistake. Sorry.”

“I think it’s also very weird that if that’s the case and someone is good enough to stalk within 150-200 yards of one of the hardest to stalk targets in the whole world, you’re not going to miss a shot. You’re not going to miss that shot. If you have the skillset to get in there, avoiding all these layers of security, then you will have the skillset to hit that first round. It doesn’t make any sense.”

“My opinion is, and whether this comes out now or way later, is that this guy had help from somewhere. I think that’s obviously concerning. It’s going to be wild. I think it’s all you’re going to see for the next little while. Anyway, just because I keep getting asked, that’s my two cents.”

Just two days after President Trump was nearly killed by a 20-year-old Democrat donor, the leftist media has already gone back to slandering his good name.

This comes despite Trump vowing to alter his acceptance speech at the RNC and run a campaign emphasizing unity in America.

Following the announcement of Ohio Senator J.D. Vance this afternoon as Trump’s running mate, his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., was confronted by a leftist MSNBC reporter at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who questioned the 45th president’s sincerity and proceeded to insult him as a divisive figure. Trump Jr. responded by explaining how the corporate media was responsible for the division created around Trump and said they should be honest brokers in the future instead.

Undeterred, the reporter then brought up the “kids in cages” immigration policy that occurred during the Obama Administration and attributed it to Trump. After angrily calling him out, the two engaged in a short back and forth before the 45th president’s eldest son finally shut down the vile leftist and ended the interview.

On Saturday, President Trump was shot in the ear during an at his Butler, PA rally. It was a miracle he survived the assassination attempt, as he turned his head toward a jumbo screen where he was referencing a chart that showed the stunning rise in illegal immigrations crossing into America Since Joe Biden began occupying the White House. In that split second that he turned his head to view the screen a bullet that was meant to hit him in the head, whizzed by and instead, grazed his ear.

America was shocked by the brazen attempt to kill a former president and the current frontrunner in the 2024 presidential race. Messages of prayers and gratitude for his safety flooded social media. Even Trump’s most open and aggressive haters like Rep. Nancy Pelosi, made statements (albeit insincere) about praying for Trump. Meanwhile, others on social media, like a staffer for Democrat Rep. Benny Johnson, Chair of the J6 Witch Hunt Committee, took to social media to complain that that shooter missed Trump’s head.

The popular Libs of TikTok account on Twitter is filled with videos and messages containing anger and vitriol for the alleged 20-yr-old assassin for missing his intended target.

Following the shocking murder attempt of President Trump, Aberdeen, Washington’s Democrat Mayor Douglas Orr, took to Facebook to claim President Trump faked the assassination attempt against him.

He wrote:

“Ears bleed alot [sic]. I hope they check to make sure it wasn’t just a self inflicted scratch. The shooter is dead so we will never know if it was staged,” he wrote on Facebook. “Not buying it quite yet Any way [sic] you look at it, it was a horrific act. Short of Biden dieing [sic], this is about the only thing that could happen that would artificially gain Trump sympathy votes. I hope I’m wrong, but because of his record of deceit, that’s the first thing that came to mind.”

The assertion by Mayor Douglas Orr is so outrageous that one has to wonder if it’s a cry for help. Perhaps someone close to the mayor could get him some psychological help.

What they don’t know, is that the higher standard expectation only applies to elected Republican officials. When Democrats like Rep. Maxine Waters (CA) tell their supporters they need to “get in the faces” of Trump officials when they see them in public places, they are lauded as heroes. She also threatened to take out Trump herself!

Late Monday morning, protestors gathered in Milwaukee’s Red Arrow Park to voice frustrations about the ongoing Republican National Convention in the city. While the protestors were largely anti-Trump and anti-Republican, many were surprisingly hostile to President Biden and the Democrats as well.

One protestor, Khaled Abukhaireni, told The American Conservative he was attending the protest “to bring attention to the atrocities, the genocide, that is going on in the Gaza strip.” Abukhaireni said Palestine is the most important issue for him, and that in his view, “The United States is an active participant in this genocide.” 

Speaking on the Trump-Biden race, Abukhaireni stated “They are one in the same, and we believe that the United States policy is going to continue until there is a generation shift, which is happening right now, that will shift the policy in the future, but not this election.” Abukhaireni added that “[the protestors] are reaching out to the American people, we don’t believe in these two parties, they are one party, and they are all the same.” Abukhaireni indicated that he will not vote for former President Trump or Biden.

Another protestor, Neal Resnicoff, who made his way to Milwaukee with the Chicago Anti-War Coalition told TAC that “we oppose both the Republican and Democratic Parties as being warmongering agents of the U.S. capitalist ruling class, which is causing a lot of trouble all over the world.” Resnicoff criticized the Biden administration for its roles in both the Gaza War and the Russia-Ukraine conflict, stating that NATO expansion “is bringing us to the brink of World War III.” Resnicoff said he will be voting for an “independent path, at this time, either Jill Stein or Cornel West” in November.

One of the groups with the greatest presence at the protest was the Freedom Road Socialist Organization, which describes itself as Marxist-Leninist. One of its members, Jay Gibbs, agreed to speak with TAC. Gibbs told TAC that his motive for joining the protest was to “show my displeasure with the GOP platform.” However, when asked who he would vote for in November, Gibbs answered “I intend to vote for local government and on statewide initiatives, though I don’t have a plan to vote on the presidential ballot, and if I do, it will probably be for a third-party.”

Beyond protesting the conflict in Gaza, much of the energy at the protest centered around the issue of abortion. Victoria Hinckley, a representative of Students for a Democratic Society, spoke to the gathered crowd. “We march on the RNC to stand against the attacks on women’s and reproductive rights, on black and chicano folks, and LGBTQ folks that are being pushed by the Republican agenda,” Hinckley said. 

In her speech, Hinkley expressed displeasure with the decision in Dobbs, stating “the Dobbs decision was a direct result of Trump’s presidency, in fact he takes pride in this; Shame!” The crowd shouted back, “Shame, Shame, Shame!” Hinckley ended her speech with a declaration: “We refuse to accept these attacks, and we refuse to take another step back for reproductive rights.”

The one notable exception to the anti-Trump protestors was François de Monique, a Liberian-American immigrant who was handing out shirts with both Trump and Biden’s face, stating that each was a “great American.” De Monique also told TAC that “America needs to quell violence, we are a great country, we are all Americans, we need peace.” De Monique added that both parties need to work together as “it’s going to be two parties, working together, to make America a much greater country and the strongest country in the world.”

Despite De Monique’s presence, the general feeling of the rally was both anti-Trump and anti-Biden, with one of the event organizers, Omar Flores, mentioning in a speech his intention to lead similar protests against the DNC Convention in August.

New details have emerged about the moments leading up to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.

The information, brought to light by Pittsburgh’s WPXI-11, reveals that the would-be assassin, identified as Thomas Crooks, was spotted on a rooftop approximately 30 minutes before he opened fire at Trump.

Law enforcement knew about Trump shooter but did nothing.

WPXI-11 reported:

Channel 11′s Nicole Ford confirmed that Beaver County’s ESU team had eight members at the rally, including snipers and spotters. According to Ford’s sources, one of them noticed a suspicious man on a roof near the rally at 5:45 p.m., called it in and took a picture of the person. We have learned from our sources the person in that picture is Thomas Crooks. We’re told it’s not clear if Crooks had a gun with him at that point.

According to multiple sources, a law enforcement officer had also previously seen Crooks on the ground and called him in as a suspicious person with a picture prior to 5:45 p.m. Our sources tell us an officer checked the grounds for Crooks at that point, but did not see him where the first picture was taken.

26 minutes after the second picture of Crooks was taken by law enforcement and the information called in, shots were fired from the roof of the American Glass Research building. Seconds later, a Secret Service sniper returned fire and killed Crooks.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that a video of Crooks shooting from the rooftop before a Secret Service sniper fatally shot him was posted on Saturday.

At least two witnesses have come forward and told the media they warned police officers about the gunman crawling on the rooftop.

One Trump rallygoer told CBS News, “I was just standing there like everyone else, just waiting for Trump. And as Trump started, I noticed two officers looking for something or somebody.”

The witness added, “So I was looking around myself and seen a guy on top of one of the buildings go in between one building to the next and went and told the officer he was up there.”

Another witness who spoke to BBC News said the gunman was ‘bear crawling’ up the roof of the unsecured building. The witness said he was pointing at the gunman for two to three minutes and trying to alert police to the potential threat.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that after audience members pointed out to local law enforcement officers that Crooks was climbing a ladder onto the roof of a building, the officer followed and eventually confronted the would-be assassin.

Crooks responded by pointing his gun at the officer. The person in blue retreated down the ladder, and Crooks immediately fired a shot at Trump.

On Monday afternoon at the Republican National Convention, over an hour earlier than the public expected, the former President Donald Trump announced his selection of Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) as his 2024 Vice President running mate. 

Vance had long been one of the VP favorites heading into the convention. Both Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Gov. Doug Burgum (R-ND), two other VP frontrunners, were informed they had not been chosen shortly before the official announcement.

Trump wrote on Truth Social, “After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio.” He concluded, “As Vice President, J.D. will continue to fight for our Constitution, stand with our Troops, and will do everything he can to help me MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”

Rubio, Burgum, and dark horse candidate Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) quickly showed their support for a Trump-Vance ticket on X.

Tucker Carlson addressed a crowd at the Heritage Foundation’s Policy Fest shortly after the news broke. He called Vance “a perfectly nice guy. He’s one of the only members of the senate with a happy marriage.” He also said, “I’m not gonna make the case for J.D. Vance, I’m going to tell you what I just saw—which is that every bad person I’ve ever met in a lifetime in Washington was aligned against J.D. Vance. And I do think that a negative take is often more powerful.”

The former GOP presidential candidate and fellow Ohioan Vivek Ramaswamy chimed in via X, “So proud of my friend, classmate, and fellow southwest Ohioan today…. He’ll be an outstanding Vice President and I look forward to everything ahead for him and for our country.”

“I have rock-solid conviction that J.D. will be an outstanding VP for President Trump,” he elaborated to The American Conservative. “The only negative is this leaves our side missing one of our best fighters in the Senate. If asked to serve, I would strongly consider the position and would discuss with President Trump which path makes the most sense for our country.”

Some of Vance’s senate colleagues also spoke to TAC. Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) told TAC, “J.D. Vance is an exceptional fighter for hardworking American families in the U.S. Senate, and is an outstanding running mate for President Trump to Make America Great Again from the White House. I look forward to working with him in his future role as President of the Senate to defend freedom and strengthen our country.”

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) wrote to TAC saying, “I’m sad to lose him as a colleague, but that says all you need to know about him.” 

A senate hopeful, Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), told TAC in a written statement, “J.D. Vance appeals to the working class and midwestern voters who will decide the election, and he’s committed  to the Trump agenda of secure borders and strong American industry. President Trump made a great political decision for his campaign that’s an even better choice for our country.”

House members also expressed their excitement. A campaign spokesperson for Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) also told TAC, “Senator Vance is a leader of the highest caliber who represents the best of the America First movement. He has a reputation of putting the everyday people of this country above the establishment elites and has worked to demolish the status quo of corruption and dishonesty. Senator Vance is the perfect running mate to fortify President Trump’s historic vision for the nation.”

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) told TAC, “Could not be more thrilled. We’re taking this country back!” 

The larger conservative movement also expressed their excitement.

“JD Vance is a perfect pick. He’s intelligent, right-minded, and politically impressive,” Michael Knowles of the Daily Wire commented to TAC. “Above all, his selection signals that President Trump’s has a vision that extends far beyond the next four years.”

Dr. Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation, reacted in real time to the news at a press conference. He told the press, “You will see a broad smile on my face, because you may know that we’re good friends…. Why were we rooting for him? Not even because of politics and policy, but because of who he is. J.D. Vance is a great husband. He is a great dad. He’s been a great member of the Senate.” Roberts continued, “He understands the moment we are in this country, which is that we have a limited amount of time to implement great policy on behalf of forgotten Americans, someone J.D. Vance personifies. At Heritage, we could not be happier.”

Rachel Bovard of the Conservative Partnership Institute and a TAC board member, wrote “Establishment Washington is now officially on notice. Trump 2.0 will not be business as usual. Vance is a Washington outsider who is appropriately skeptical of the interests that run this town, from the intelligence agencies to corporate lobbyists. He is one of the most naturally gifted politicians of his generation and represents a new era for Republican politics—one that has middle class America at the center.” 

Theo Wold, former Idaho Solicitor General, also told TAC, “J.D. Vance is a VP pick that speaks to the issues a majority of Americans care about. He believes the system is enriching economic elites and harming working-class people. He is with Americans on restricting immigration, avoiding unnecessary wars, and confronting the unaccountable administrative state. He is committed to the long project of reversing our cultural degeneracy and once again making this nation a home for American citizens.” 

Oren Cass, Chief Economist at American Compass, wrote in a statement, “Senator Vance is an exceptional choice. He has a unique understanding of how the past generation of American policy failure has harmed American workers, their families, and their communities…. The future of the American right-of-center, in a Trump-Vance administration and beyond, is a working-class conservatism that emphasizes the importance of family, community, and industry to the nation’s liberty and prosperity.”

Saurabh Sharma, president of American Moment, told TAC, “President Trump has picked the single best possible choice to be his vice president. Senator Vance has been the most eloquent champion for the revolution in the Republican policy agenda President Trump kicked off in 2015. He is going to be an invaluable asset on the campaign trail, and help deliver the blue wall that is essential to 270.”

He added, “Young conservatives will see a role-model in Senator Vance. He’s an example of the American dream in action, and extremely clear-eyed about the threats to it in the 21st century. The Trump-Vance ticket is the strongest presidential ticket in modern history. Together, they will Make America Great Again.”

Meanwhile, Ryan Williams, the president of the Claremont Institute, also told TAC, “Senator J.D. Vance is the ideal pick for Trump’s Vice President. It’s hard to find a more articulate and passionate advocate for the politics and policies that will save American democracy from the forces of progressive oligarchy and despotism.”

Patrick Deneen, Professor at Notre Dame, said via Saagar Enjeti, “Senator Vance represents the ideal choice for Donald Trump’s instinctive connection to the working classes and rural America to extend to a new, younger generation…. J.D. combines a dedication to domestic productivity, foreign policy realism, and a deep commitment to strengthening American families and the communities that sustain them. He is a man of deep personal faith and integrity, a devoted family man, a generous friend, and a genuine patriot.”

John Schweppe of the American Principles Project said, “J.D. Vance is someone voters can trust. In his short time in Washington, he has already demonstrated a commitment to defying the demands of the billionaire class to support the needs of his working class constituents.”

Trump has also made inroads with the business community as of late. After the Vance announcement, Elon Musk declared on X:

With Vance, the Trump ticket just became much more formidable. And Americans finally have the answer to who will carry the mantle of America First when Trump is no longer the GOP frontman.
