Biden Gets Defensive In Uncomfortable NBC Interview

On Monday night, NBC aired an exclusive interview between Lester Holt and President Joe Biden. The president used the opportunity to comment on the assassination attempt against the former President Donald Trump and to double down on his commitment to stay in the presidential race.

Holt asked the president for his thoughts on Trump’s assassination attempt. Biden said, “I mean, the whole notion that there is this—there’s—there’s no place at all for violence in politics in America. None. Zero.”

He went on to discuss examples of “violent rhetoric” from the other side of the aisle, including the now-debunked statement from Trump about how there were “fine people on both sides” at the protests in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2017.

In response, Holt asked the president, “Have you taken a step back and done a little soul-searching on things that you may have said that could incite people who are not balanced?”

Biden denied ever using that kind of language: “I have not engaged in that rhetoric.”

Biden also remained steadfast in his decision to stay in the race, arguing that the upcoming election is a “toss-up.” He said, “The idea that we are in a situation where if you look at all the polling data, the polling data shows a lot of different things, but there’s no wide gap between us.”

He also revealed that he did not rewatch his performance in the June 27 presidential debate. Holt asked, “Are you seeing what they saw, which was moments of, frankly of, you appeared to be confused?”

Biden became noticeably defensive, leaning forward and laughing: “I didn’t have to see it. I was there. And by the way, seriously, you won’t answer the question, but why doesn’t the press talk about all the lies he told…. God love you.”

He admitted, “I had a bad, bad night. I wasn’t feeling well at all. I screwed up.”

Holt also asked whether Biden would be willing to engage in another debate with Trump before the scheduled debate in September: “If the opportunity came up to do one between now and then? Is there—is there a sense of wanting to get back on the horse?”

“I’m on the horse; where have you been?” Biden shot back.

The interview ended awkwardly, with Biden saying, “Sometime, come and talk to me about what we should be talking about.”

WATCH: Biden Calls Trump a ‘Real Danger to the Country’ — Whines About Rural Voters with ‘F Biden’ Signs

In an interview with NBC’s Lester Holt, Joe Biden whined about rural voters with “F Biden” signs.

Discussing rural voters, Biden said, “I’ve never seen a circumstance where you ride through certain rural areas of the country and people have signs… Trump signs… little signs with ‘F Biden,’ with a little kid standing there putting up his middle finger.”

Biden added, “That’s the kind of stuff that’s just inflammatory and vicious.”

The president complained that these signs and gestures are different than saying you “disagree with Trump’s tax policies.”

In a separate interview with Complex’s Speedy Morman, Biden referred to Trump as a “danger to the country” and “to democracy.”

Biden’s interview with Speedy Morman was conducted on Friday before the assassination attempt against Trump and aired on Monday.

Triumphant Trump Descends on RNC

Trump pointed to his ear as he appeared in the tunnel to roars and laughs from the crowd, exhilarated to see their former president still standing. Donald Trump Jr. wept as his father entered to a live performance of “I’m Proud to Be An American” by Lee Greenwood. Outside the Fiserv center, thunder rolled. The crowd chanted “USA! USA! USA!” just as they did moments after Trump threw his fist in the air after the assassination attempt in Pennsylvania.

Trump made his way across the floor and greeted his new running mate, Senator JD Vance (R-OH), as well as Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Rep. Byron Donalds, and Tucker Carlson in the president’s booth.

Shooting Victim Corey Comperatore’s Widow Refused Biden’s Call After Trump Attempted Assassination: ‘Didn’t want to speak with him’

Helen Comperatore / G.N.Miller -NYPost

A grief-stricken widow of Corey Comperatore, killed by a sniper at a Trump rally, told The Post that she wanted nothing to do with President Biden after her sudden loss.

“I didn’t talk to Biden,” Helen Comperatore said from her Pennsylvania home on Monday. “I didn’t want to talk to him. My husband was a devout Republican and he would not have wanted me to talk to him.”

In Butler, Pennsylvania, Corey Comperatore, a well-regarded father and volunteer firefighter, attended a rally for former President Donald Trump.

As reported by The Gateway Pundit, the event turned tragic when Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to assassinate Trump.

The New York Post reports,

A bullet struck the former president in the ear, two rallygoers were wounded and Corey Comperatore was killed in the gunfire.

Helen Comperatore said it was supposed to be an “exciting day” for the family to support Trump.

When the shots rang out, her husband instinctively shouted, “Get down,” and used his body to shield his family from the sniper’s bullets — and it cost him his life.

In an emotional statement, the widow of Corey Comperatore, the firefighter tragically killed at the rally, expressed mixed feelings about President Biden’s call, indicating it wasn’t entirely welcomed amidst the grief and turmoil following the tragic incident.

“I don’t have any ill will towards Joe Biden. I’m not one of those people that gets involved in politics.

“I support Trump. That’s who I’m voting for, but I don’t have ill will towards Biden,” she added. “He didn’t do anything bad to my husband. A 20-year-old despicable kid did.”

Pro-Life Demonstration In Milwaukee: Split on Trump

On Monday at noon, several pro-life organizations held a rally near the perimeter of the Republican National Convention to protest the softening of pro-life language from the GOP platform. While the rally-goers were united in their support of the pro-life position, and opposition to the change in the GOP platform, were uncertain as to the path that the pro-life movement should take going forward.

Dan Miller, the State Director of Pro-Life Wisconsin told The American Conservative that the platform change is “an utter disappointment” and that it marks a departure from the historical Republican Party.

“We [Republicans] have fought for the little guy, since our very inception… we were founded to free the slaves,” he said.

Miller still voices support for the presumptive GOP nominee. “Donald Trump is still the most pro-life president we’ve ever had, period, and has saved more babies from abortion than any other president we’ve ever had. Period,” he said. “I’m thankful for him as a president.”

“I absolutely would encourage people to vote for Donald Trump,” he added. “He surprised us back in 2016, when he was voted in, he gave us a Supreme Court that figured out that Roe v. Wade was bad law, and they overturned it.”

Others were less supportive of the former president. Payton Hoffer, a member of the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising group, told TAC, “I’m someone who would have voted Republican, but Trump came out and supported the abortion pill, which is most abortions, and I just can’t support that.”

“I’m abstaining from this election, I’m not going to vote for either,” Hoffer added.

Others at the rally focused primarily on the path ahead for the pro-life movement in Wisconsin, rather than on the Republican platform. Jim Matthias, the director of Respect Life Ministries for the Catholic Archdiocese of Milwaukee, talked about on-the-ground pro-life efforts following the loss of numerous state-level ballot measures. “You’ve got a lot of money coming in to buy ads, and those ads don’t tell the truth,” he said.

He highlighted the resources put out by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee to promote pro-life objectives, such as “Walking With Moms in Need,” a program to assist pregnant women and mothers, and “Project Rachel,” which aids mothers who have lost a child including through abortion.

HE’S SHOT: Joe Biden Says Obama Asked Him to Be Vice President in 2020 (VIDEO)

Joe Biden sat down for an interview with Complex’s Speedy Morman to discuss Biden’s future after the Democrat-media complex call for him to drop out of the presidential race.

The interview was taped on Friday, July 12 – just one day before the attempted assassination against President Trump – and aired on Monday.

The 20-minute interview was a total dumpster fire.

Joe Biden’s cognitive decline is once again in the spotlight after this interview aired.

At one point Joe Biden said Barack Obama asked him to be VP in 2020.

“I didn’t plan on running. In 2020, when Barack asked me to be vice president I joined at it was a great honor,” Biden said.

Biden seamlessly segued into his next lie.

“And after that, I became a professor at the University of Pennsylvania,” Biden said.

This is one of Biden’s favorite lies (he has many).

Joe Biden was paid $1 million by UPenn but he never taught a single class.

Joe Biden is a corrupt politician and a pathological liar.

Of course, the host didn’t push back on Biden’s lie or claim he was asked to be Obama’s VP in 2020 (it was 2008).

Wife of Trump’s VP Pick Resigns From Her Law Firm Within Minutes of The Announcement

Usha Vance -Credit X

Usha Chilukuri Vance, the wife of Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance, has left her job as a corporate litigator at Munger, Tolles & Olson, a prestigious law firm in San Francisco.

Shortly after former President Donald Trump revealed on Monday his decision to add J.D. to his ticket for the upcoming presidential election in November, Usha’s online biography vanished from the company’s website.

SFGATE reports,

When SFGATE asked the company why her bio was removed, Sara Rosenblit, a spokesperson for the firm, said in a statement that Usha is leaving Munger, Tolles & Olson.

“Usha has informed us she has decided to leave the firm,” the statement said. “Usha has been an excellent lawyer and colleague, and we thank her for her years of work and wish her the best in her future career.”

Usha Vance confirmed that she will be stepping aside in a separate statement to SFGATE.

“In light of today’s news, I have resigned from my position at Munger, Tolles & Olson to focus on caring for our family,” she said. “I am forever grateful for the opportunities I’ve had at Munger and for the excellent colleagues and friends I’ve worked with over the years.”

During her time at the firm, Usha practiced complex litigation and appeals in many sectors, including higher education, local government, entertainment, and technology, including semiconductors, in its San Francisco and Washington, D.C. offices.

Their Hindu faith made her parents great, says Usha Vance.

Outside of her work at the firm, Usha clerked for U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, as well as Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh — a Trump pick — back when he was a judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Her bio also says she clerked for Amul Thapar, now a judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, back when he served in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.

Usha earned her law degree from Yale. While there, she was an editor for Yale Law Journal and the Yale Journal of Law & Technology. Her bio also said she took part in the U.S. Supreme Court Advocacy Clinic, which offers clients free representation in front of the Supreme Court, and the Media Freedom and Information Access Clinic, which advocates for news outlets in the form of litigation and other legal work. She also participated in the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Program.

MUST-SEE INTERVIEW: Jim Hoft and Maria Herrera Mellado Join the War Room to Discuss Our New International Website – Gateway Hispanic

Jim Hoft and Gateway Hispanic’s Maria Herrera Mellado join Natalie Winters on The War Room to discuss our important new website targeting the Hispanic community.

Earlier today, The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft and Attorney Maria Herrera Mellado announced the launch of Gateway Hispanic, a new freedom project targeting the Spanish-speaking community in America and abroad.

If you have not seen our launch video yet – take the time to watch this. It is really powerful.

Jim Hoft and Maria Herrera Mellado joined The War Room later this morning to discuss Gateway Hispanic.

Maria spoke about how she came up with the idea.

Maria Herrera: Well, first of all, I was a big fan of Gateway Pandit to begin with. Aren’t we all? I met him like, are you the CEO of Gateway Pandit? I was honored to meet Jim. Also, because I see that there is a real need to have our conservative news introduced to the Hispanic community. People really want to know what’s going on in US politics. They really want to understand how this election integrity and election rules work. They’re pro-life, they are pro-border security, and nobody wants to talk about that. We want for them to understand what’s going on and how to vote the right way.

Natalie Winters: There are a lot of parallels, I think, between what has been happening I mean, I look to Brazil, we always talk about how the populist movement is something that is global. It’s not just contained to the borders of the United States, of course, underscoring the importance of borders. But when you see Bolsonaro getting, attempted, thrown in jail for corruption, I think I’ve heard that playbook before. What are your thoughts on the similarities between what the grassroots of Latin America versus the grassroots of people in the United States, what they want to see from their leaders?

Jim Hoft: I think what we’re seeing is the same thing that people want all over. They want the freedom, especially when they come from some of these regimes in South America. They come to the United States. They don’t want communism. They don’t want the socialism that the left is pushing… Maria really grabbed me when she said, They’re not interested in sending their kids to school and have them come home, their little boys saying, I want to be a girl now. That isn’t something the Latin community is into right now. In issue after issue. They really line up with Conservatives. We just want to give them the website because they don’t have that opportunity to find out the truth. Now they do…

…You know what is really fascinating about this venture we’re starting, too, is we’re going to compete with it in South America because we have writers at Gateway Hispanic who are from Bolivia, El Salvador, Brazil, Argentina.

Natalie Winters: Primary sources.

Jim Hoft: They’re right there, and they’re going to be able to communicate what’s going on. They just don’t have the truth… Now they will.

Watch the entire video.

Trump and RFK Met to Discuss a Potential Role in His Administration, According to New Report

Former President Donald Trump met with independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to discuss a potential role in the administration, according to a new report.

The meeting occurred Monday in Wisconsin before Trump announced he had chosen J.D. Vance as his running mate.

Speaking to Mediaite, an unnamed source within the Kennedy campaign said the candidates had a “lengthy conversation” during which “there was some discussion over Bobby playing a future role in the [Trump] administration and what that role might be.”

“Trump was evaluating Bobby’s potential,” the source added.

The source told the outlet that Trump and Kennedy also discussed “unity as a nation” and “security issues” in the wake of Trump being shot in a failed assassination attempt at his Pennsylvania rally on Saturday.

Kennedy had confirmed the meeting in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“Lots of rumors going around about my meeting this morning with President Trump,” the candidate wrote. “Our main topic was national unity, and I hope to meet with Democratic leaders about that as well. No, I am not dropping out of the race.”

Lots of rumors going around about my meeting this morning with President Trump. Our main topic was national unity, and I hope to meet with Democratic leaders about that as well. No, I am not dropping out of the race.

— Robert F. Kennedy Jr (@RobertKennedyJr) July 15, 2024

“Yes, Mr. Kennedy met with President Trump today to discuss national unity, and he hopes to meet with leaders of the Democratic Party as well. And no he is not dropping out of the race. He is the only pro-environment, pro-choice, anti-war candidate who beats Donald Trump in head-to-head polls,” Kennedy campaign press secretary Stefanie Spear said in an on-record statement to Mediaite.

Spear provided no insight into Kennedy’s potential role in the Trump White House.

On Monday, Trump called for Kennedy to be granted Secret Service protection, which Joe Biden finally agreed to.

As the Gateway Pundit previously reported, Kennedy has compared the attempt on Trump’s life to the assassinations of his uncle, former President John F. Kennedy, and his father, Robert F. Kennedy.

The candidate explained that when his uncle was assassinated, it was also at a time of great division in this nation.

“And when my uncle landed in Dallas in November 22nd, 1963, there were posters all around Dallas that said, Wanted Dead or Alive.’ And they — the Dallas newspapers — were printing very, very poisonous articles about him. And his death in some ways was linked to that wave of hatred,” he explained. “And the same was true with my dad.”

Five years after JFK was assassinated, his brother RFK was running for office when he was also fatally shot at the Ambassador hotel in Los Angeles.

“My dad was running in 1968, which was the most polarized, divisive time in American history since the American Civil War. You know, there was terrible anger on both sides, on all sides and part of the eruption of that anger was not only the riots we were seeing in the cities that year. … We also saw Martin Luther King’s assassination that year. And then two months later, my father’s assassination and all of it is connected, and it’s connected to each of us, and each of us needs to take responsibility for our own behavior. And you know, hopefully we can we can make something good of this.”

Kennedy went on to urge both Joe Biden and Trump to turn down the rhetoric and “Stop empowering people who are filled with hatred and marginalized who are capable of taking these kinds of actions.”

“We all have an opportunity now to do what god wants us to do and turn evil into good and use this terrible, tragic incident to make something better for our country.”

“I Didn’t Say ‘Crosshairs!’” – Biden Remains Defiant as Lester Holt Confronts Him on ‘Trump in the Bullseye’ Comment One Week Before Assassination Attempt (VIDEO)

Joe Biden sat down for an interview with NBC’s Lester Holt to discuss the assassination attempt against President Trump.

A bullet grazed President Trump’s ear on Saturday during his Pennsylvania rally.

In an appalling breach of security, a gunman was able to climb on top of a roof next to Trump’s Butler, Pennsylvania rally and put Trump in his scope.

President Trump raised his fist and shouted, “Fight! Fight! Fight!” after a bullet grazed his ear.

Thank God President Trump survived the assassination attempt. It was a miracle. God intervened.

Former President Donald Trump after being shot at a Pennsylvania rally in July, 2024.

The assassination attempt happened just one week after Biden issued veiled threats to Trump.

In a phone call with Democrat donors on July 8, Biden said “it’s time to put Trump in the bullseye.”

Joe Biden also issued a veiled threat during his interview with George Stephanopoulos just one week before a gunman attempted to assassinate President Trump.

Stephanopoulos said he has never seen a president of 36% approval get re-elected.

Biden denied he was polling at 36% approval and then issued a cryptic, veiled threat.

“Wouldn’t a clear-eyed political calculus tell you it’s going to be much tougher to win in 2024?” Stephanopoulos asked Biden referring to the abysmal polls.

Biden issued a veiled threat.

“Not when you’re running against a pathological liar. Not when he hadn’t been challenged in a way that he’s about to be challenged,” Biden said with a sinister look on his face.

Biden has repeatedly threatened Trump, referred to him as a dictator and spread hoaxes (‘Bloodbath,’ ‘very fine people,’ ‘suckers and losers’) about the former president.

Lester Holt confronted Joe Biden about his threatening and dehumanizing language that led to the attempted assassination against President Trump.

You called President Trump “an existential threat” and said it’s time to put him “in the bullseye,” Lester Holt said to Joe Biden.

“I didn’t say ‘crosshairs,’” Biden said.

Biden is lying. He has repeatedly demonized President Trump and his supporters.
