500 Pound Rapper Who Describes Herself as a “BBW” Sues Lyft After Driver Tells Her She is Too Large to Ride In His Car (VIDEO)

Detroit rapper Dank Demoss

A morbidly obese Detroit rapper who describes herself as a “BBW” – ‘Big Beautiful Woman’ – is suing Lyft for discrimination after one of its drivers told her she was too big to ride in his sedan.

Earlier this month Dank Demoss, AKA, Dajua Blanding, ordered a Lyft to attend a Detroit Lions party.

The Lyft driver pulled up in a Mercedes-Benz and informed Demoss that she wouldn’t be able to fit in his sedan.

“I can fit in this car,” Demoss told the Lyft driver to which he responded, “Believe me, you can’t.”

“I’ve been in this situation before,” the driver said.

Demoss responded, “So every big person, you turn down because they can’t fit in your car?”

The Lyft driver said his tires couldn’t handle her weight and suggested she order an Uber XL rideshare. He also reimbursed her for canceling the ride.

Dank Demoss reportedly weighs nearly 500 pounds.

“I’ve been in cars smaller than that,” Demoss told FOX 2. “I just want them to know that it hurt my feelings.”

Excerpt from Fox 2:

A Lyft driver denied a Detroit rapper a ride because of her size – and now she’s suing.

Dajua Blanding, known on stage as Dank Demoss, requested a ride to a Detroit Lions watch party earlier this month. However, when the driver arrived, he saw Blanding and told her he couldn’t give her a ride because of her weight. Blanding was recording the encounter.

Blanding has retained attorneys Jonathan Marko and Zach Runyan to sue for discrimination.

What they’re saying:
“I knew that it was illegal, and I knew that it was wrong,” Marko said.

He said weight is a protected characteristic in Michigan. Marko said that denying someone a ride based on their weight would be the same as denying someone because of their race or religion – at least under the law.

Lyft drivers can turn down passengers for perceived security threats, but Marko said they cannot deny a ride based on protected characteristics.

Trump Sets Saturday Deadline for 25% Tariffs on Mexico and Canada to Force Action on Illegal Migration and Fentanyl Crisis

Screenshot: The White House

President Donald Trump has set a Saturday deadline to impose a 25% tariff on all imports from Mexico and Canada.

The administration asserts that these tariffs will remain until both neighboring countries take substantial measures to curb the flow of unauthorized migrants and illicit drugs into the United States.

This announcement follows a recent agreement with Colombia, where the threat of similar tariffs led the Marxist president to fold like a cheap suit and begin accepting deported migrants.

In a statement from the Oval Office Thursday, President Trump emphasized the urgency of the situation.

“Mexico and Canada have never been good to us on trade. They’ve treated us very unfairly on trade,” Trump said.

“We’ll be announcing the tariffs on Canada and Mexico for a number of reasons. Number one is the people that have poured into our country so horribly and so much.

“Number two are the drugs, fentanyl and everything else that have come into the country. Number three are the massive subsidies that we’re giving to Canada and to Mexico in the form of deficits.

“I’ll be putting the tariff of 25% on Canada and separately 25% on Mexico. We will really have to do that because we have very big deficits with those countries. Those tariffs may or may not rise with time,” Trump said.

When asked about whether he would impose tariffs on Canadian and Mexican oil, Trump said, “We may or may not. We’re going to make that determination probably tonight.”

President Donald Trump emphasized the United States’ self-sufficiency in natural resources, particularly in lumber and oil. He remarked.

He also mentioned the possibility of imposing tariffs on China.

Trump:
“We have all the trees you need—meaning the lumber. We have more than almost anybody in those two categories. In oil, we have more than anybody, and we don’t need anybody’s trees. We have to free up some of the tree areas that we have. We have great lumber in this country, and we have to free them up environmentally, which I can do very quickly. But we don’t need what they have.

For us to be subsidizing Canada to the tune of $175 billion a year and subsidizing Mexico to the tune of $250 billion to $300 billion a year—it’s absurd. Mexico is being used as a method for China to send in its product.

With China, I’m also thinking about something because they’re sending fentanyl into our country, causing hundreds of thousands of deaths. China is going to end up paying a tariff for that, and we’re in the process of making that happen. We’ll determine what that tariff will be, but China has to stop sending fentanyl into our country and killing our people.”

Trump’s FCC Chair Launching Investigation of NPR and PBS, Taxpayer Funding Under Increased Scrutiny

FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr (R)

Brendan Carr, the head of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) under Trump, is launching an investigation of National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).

Both organizations are already facing the loss of taxpayer funding, but this investigation will increase pressure on lawmakers to pull that funding.

Conservative Americans have been calling for the defunding of NPR and PBS for years. There are countless examples of these organizations acting as surrogates for the Democrat party. They do not even try to appear politically balanced, even though they are funded in part by taxpayers.

FOX News reports:

Trump FCC chair targets NPR, PBS for investigation ahead of Congressional threats to defund

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) launched an investigation into media outlets PBS and National Public Radio (NPR) over member stations potentially airing “prohibited commercial advertisements,” according to a letter obtained by The New York Times.

“I am concerned that NPR and PBS broadcasts could be violating federal law by airing commercials,” FCC chair Brendan Carr wrote, according to the Times. “In particular, it is possible that NPR and PBS member stations are broadcasting underwriting announcements that cross the line into prohibited commercial advertisements.”

The FCC allows businesses to support noncommercial radio and television stations — such as NPR, PBS or college radio stations — via on-air announcements known as underwriting sponsorships. The sponsorships, though similar to advertisements, face different FCC rules than typical TV or radio ads.

The Washington Free Beacon has more on this:

Both outlets have long faced scrutiny. NPR senior editor Uri Berliner resigned in April after he was suspended for criticizing Maher’s “divisive views” and “devastating” bias. The Washington Free Beacon reported that month that Maher had dismissed widespread looting and property damage during the summer 2020 riots, saying it was “hard to be mad” about the destruction.

Carr’s investigation aligns with President Donald Trump’s campaign pledge to cut wasteful spending and boost government efficiency. Shortly after his election victory in November, Trump named Carr, a longtime Republican member of the FCC, to lead the commission, saying Carr is “a warrior for Free Speech” and “will end the regulatory onslaught that has been crippling America’s Job Creators and Innovators.”

NPR and PBS have received federal funding for decades through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. For fiscal year 2025, the CPB received around $535 million from the federal government, which it distributed among public broadcasting entities, including NPR and PBS.

Conservatives should not be expected to fund organizations which actively work against their political beliefs and aspirations. If the left wants to support NPR and PBS, they are free to do so through charitable contributions.

REVEALED: Passenger Flight Forced to Abort Landing at DCA Due to Helicopter Crossing Flight Path One Day Before Chopper-Plane Collision

Passenger flight aborts landing at DCA on day before American Airlines plane collided with Blackhawk helicopter/ source: FlightAware

An American Airlines flight originating in Connecticut en route to Reagan Airport was forced to abort its landing due to a helicopter just one day before an American Airlines flight collided with a Blackhawk helicopter.

According to FlightAware, American Airlines flight 4514 from Windsor Locks, Connecticut was forced to loop around after a helicopter crossed its flight path near Reagan Airport on Tuesday evening.

The plan looped around and landed safely 13 minutes early.

The Daily Mail reported:

A passenger flight had to abort landing at Reagan National Airport in Washington DC the day before American Airlines Flight 5342 collided in midair with a helicopter.

Republic Airways Flight 4514 was forced to back out of touching down and had to make a second approach after a helicopter appeared near its flight path.

That’s according to an audio recording from air traffic control captured on Tuesday and heard by The Washington Post.

Flightradar data for the flight shows the plane had been travelling from Windsor Locks in Connecticut to the city and had to dramatically gain altitude shortly after descending on Reagan National Airport. It eventually landed safely.

The incident is eerily similar to the events of Wednesday night, when an American Airlines plane smashed into a US Army Black Hawk helicopter as it came into land at the airport.

24 hours later 67 people perished after a Blackhawk helicopter flew right into an American Airlines plane near Reagan Airport.

A preliminary FAA report indicated that staffing at the DCA Air Traffic Control tower was “not normal” at the time of the helicopter-plane collision.

According to NBC News, at the time of the collision, one controller was overseeing both helicopter and airplane traffic.

Typically, one controller focuses on helicopter activity.

President Trump on Thursday morning blamed Biden and Obama’s DEI policies that lowered requirements for air traffic controllers.

Victor Reacts: TikTokers Fantasize About Fighting ICE Agents? (VIDEO)

A strange trend of liberal women on TikTok seemingly fantasizing about fighting ICE agents in on the rise.

One user posted a video with the text, “ICE can now raid hospitals. Show up on my unit and I’ll show you why I am my father’s daughter.” Seemingly insinuating that she would fight federal law enforcement officers in defense of criminal illegal aliens.

The concept of law enforcement arresting suspects at hospitals is not as new one. Police are allowed to arrest people at hospitals, and they do.

CBS News reported,

Hours after Mr. Trump’s inauguration, his administration revoked a policy that prohibited arrests by U.S. immigration agents at or near schools, places of worship and other “sensitive locations.”

The Department of Homeland Security has followed a policy since 2011 that restricted ICE enforcement actions, including arrests, interviews, searches and surveillance, at “sensitive” locations such as schools, churches and hospitals.

Under former President Joe Biden, the department issued a policy in 2021 that expanded on the definitions of what is considered “protected areas” for both ICE and Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

If these TikTokers are planning on the ill-advised idea of fist fighting federal law enforcement on behalf of gang members, rapists, and drug dealers, it looks like they will have plenty of opportunity.

The Gateway Pundit reported,

The Trump administration has issued a quota of 1,800 arrests per day by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) nationwide.

According to a report from the New York Post, the agency’s 25 offices must make at least 75 arrests each day to meet the quota.

Since President Trump took office less than 10 days ago, ICE has made approximately 4,500 arrests.

Speaking to CNN on Tuesday, White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller explained that the quota is a “floor, not a ceiling.”

“So first of all, the numbers you cited are a floor, not a ceiling. Very importantly, they’re a floor. The goal is to arrest at least that many, but hopefully many more,” Miller said.

Personally, something tells me that the fathers of these women would prefer if their daughters made smarter choices.

Mark Zuckerberg Removed Tampons From Meta’s Male Bathrooms — So Employees Are Bringing Their Own

Grok / Tampons in male bathroom

Mark Zuckerberg’s decision to remove tampons from the male bathrooms at Meta has already run into controversy.

Following Donald Trump’s victory last November, Zuckerberg has gone out of his way to repair relations with Donald Trump, starting with a meeting with him at his Mar-a-Lago resort and a million dollar donation to his inauguration fund.

Shortly after that meeting, Zuckerberg implemented numerous changes across the company aimed at shedding the company’s left-wing image.

Among his various reforms included scrapping all diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, firing all his third-party fact-checkers, appointing Republicans and Trump supporters to the company board and eliminating tampons from the men’s bathrooms.

Mark Zuckerberg Orders Removal of Tampons From Men’s Bathrooms at Meta Offices and Social Media Users Have Humorous Thoughts

According to The New York Times, employees at the Silicon Valley giant have been left dismayed by the CEO’s apparent rightward shift and are quietly making their opposition known.

The report states:

Quietly but unmistakably, the tampons, liners and pads reappeared in many of the men’s bathrooms at Meta’s offices.

Days earlier, Mark Zuckerberg, Meta’s chief executive, had made a series of changes at his company, aligning with President Trump’s new administration.

As part of the moves, Mr. Zuckerberg eliminated diversity initiatives in the workplace — something that Mr. Trump had criticized — and removed sanitary products from the men’s bathrooms, which had been provided for transgender and nonbinary employees who may have required them.

To protest Mr. Zuckerberg’s actions, some Meta workers soon brought their own tampons, pads and liners to the men’s bathrooms, five people with knowledge of the effort said.

A group of employees also circulated a petition to save the tampons.

The sanitary products were emblematic of the quiet rebellions that Silicon Valley workers have staged as they grapple with the rightward shift of their bosses.

Responding to the petition, the vice president of workplace services said that while “not been the intention of Meta leadership to make employees feel unwelcome or excluded in our offices, at this point we do not have plans to revisit our on-site amenities offerings.”

On Wednesday, Meta also agreed to settle a lawsuit with Trump after the social media giant suspended his accounts following the January 6th protests.

Around $22 million from the settlement will go to Donald Trump’s presidential library, while the remaining amount will go towards paying lawyers and other plaintiffs who signed onto the case..

Crime-Plagued Sweden Plans To Send Dangerous Convicted Criminals to Prisons Abroad, as Its Correction System Is Overloaded Due to Gang Violence Epidemic

While liberal bleeding hearts are horrified that US President Donald J. Trump is planning on sending as many as 30k criminal illegal aliens to prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, the trend of displacing the most dangerous elements threatening societies is already widely taking shape in Europe.

Sometimes, as in the UK in Rwanda and Italy in Albania, the process is euphemistically called ‘processing centers’ for ‘asylum seekers.’

But now, it arises that the conservative government of Sweden plans to send criminals to serve their sentences in prisons abroad.

A commission announced the plans yesterday (29), as the Nordic country is trying to handle the influx of new inmates that are coming from the seemingly unstoppable wave of gang crime.

Reuters reported:

“’There is a need to work with new solutions within the Prison and Probation Service’, Justice Minister Gunnar Strommer told a news conference, saying Sweden was already in talks with other countries about renting space in their prisons.

Sweden has been plagued by gang crime that has escalated over the last two decades and has seen the Nordic nation top the rankings of deadly gun violence per capita in Europe.”

Swedish police have been strengthened with both new legal tools and also increased personnel and funding.

In Sweden, gang-related crime epidemic targets crypto owners for brutal robberies.

Law enforcement has made progress against the gangs, with fewer deadly shootings and more convictions, over the last two years.

“While that success has been welcomed, it has put a strain on the prison system. In 2023, the latest year for which records are available, Swedish courts handed down prison sentences totaling just under 200,000 months, a 25% increase from the previous year and a doubling compared with 2014.”

Sweden’s jails and prisons are packed full, and it will need about 27,000 beds by 2033, up from 11,000 today.

“Mattias Wahlstedt, head of the commission, said there were no legal obstacles to Sweden renting prison slots abroad but that a proposal to that end would have to pass parliament first.”

WATCH: Illinois Governor and Chicago Mayor are Preventing ICE from Deporting Hundreds of Illegals in Local Jails

Real America’s Voice correspondent Ben Bergquam

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, both Democrats, are reportedly blocking ICE agents from entering prisons and jails to deport hundreds of illegal aliens in the sanctuary city of Chicago.

Real America’s Voice correspondent Ben Bergquam reports that there are about 300 illegal aliens in jail with ICE detainer requests, but leftist Chicago officials will not let ICE take them to be deported.

An immigration detainer is a request from ICE that asks local law enforcement agencies, including jails and prisons, to “notify the requesting agency as early as possible before they release a removable alien” and “hold the alien for up to 48 hours beyond the time they would ordinarily release them so DHS has time to assume custody in accordance with federal immigration law,” according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. “Immigration detainers are requests from federal law enforcement officers and agents, and officials only lodge them against aliens when there’s probable cause to believe that the person is removable from the United States under federal immigration law.”

“You’re going to see the federal government come after these cities and states in a way we’ve never seen before,” Berguam said. “I think we’re going to see defunding of sanctuary communities that don’t allow these ICE officers into their jails.”

As The Gateway Pundit recently reported, Illinois officials are working to sabotage the Trump administration’s mass deportation efforts through legislative changes and preventing Chicago Police from working with the Federal government to remove illegals involved in drug crimes, gang-related crimes, prostitution, human trafficking, or child sex crimes.

The far-left Governor, JB Pritzker, was also recently caught making up a hoax, claiming that ICE agents raided an elementary school in Chicago last Friday.

Another Hoax Blows Up! Democrat Gov Pritzker, Fake News Media Falsely Claim ICE Agents Raided Chicago Elementary School – Here’s What Really Happened

Ben Bergquam shared more on Bannon’s War Room about Illinois officials’ defiance of ICE detainer requests for illegal aliens.

Watch below:

Bannon: Pritzker’s, you know, he’s walking around preening, that’s a big victory. He’s standing down Homan and Trump. What’s your forecast, since you’re riding shotgun out there, what’s your forecast on this?

Bergquam: Well, yesterday was the kickoff of this, and I had the opportunity to ride with the Acting Deputy Attorney, Emil Bove, and he was there with me. I was actually in the car. I had a long opportunity to talk with him, and he was there to see just how bad it was, and he was shocked. He was absolutely shocked. So, you’re going to see the federal government come after these cities and states in a way we’ve never seen before. I think we’re going to see defunding of sanctuary communities that don’t allow these ICE officers into their jails.

Just to give you an idea, the ICE agent that I was with yesterday said there’s 300 being held with detainers right now that they will not let have— they will not give to ICE. So, they should be picking these guys up by the hundreds. And we spent millions of dollars yesterday to get a few of these guys off the street.

Bannon: Repeat that to the audience. How many?

Bergquam: 300, as of yesterday, just in Chicago is what the ice agent I was riding with told me.

Bannon: Bove is the number three guy in the Justice Department. He’s one of President Trump’s lawyers. This guy’s a heavy hitter. Are you telling me he was shocked? It’s tough to shock him. You tell me he’s shocked?

Bergquam: He was, I would even say, outraged. He could not believe what these guys— look, Steve, these guys are ICE agents. They’re not, you know, they’re not able to go down, bust down doors and get most of these guys. They’re getting administrative warrants to go; they have to knock on the door and wait for the people to walk out of the door.

We had one guy looking out the window refusing to come to the door, and we had to leave! I mean, that’s how insane this is. So, they wanted to test the waters and see how bad it was, and Bove and Homan, these guys got to see it is catastrophic. And what we have to have, you have to defund these guys, you have to go directly after Johnson, you have to go directly after Pritzker, and then again, Dragnet, and start rounding them up, because you’re right, it’s a drop in the bucket of what we have to do to secure this country.

Bannon: Ben, as you’re riding with Homan? What’s the what’s the spirit out there with the ICE agents? What’s the spirit with Homan? Where do we stand? Are people pumped up? Are they depressed? Where do we stand with all that?

Bergquam: Yeah, they’re pumped up to be able to do their job, but, you know, one of them said it’s like drinking out of a fire hose, you know, going from what they had to do before, what they were forced to do, not do their jobs. Now, the task that’s in front of them, it almost seems insurmountable. That’s why it’s so critical that we get the 287G program rolling out in all the conservative areas. Now, obviously, in a state like Illinois, communist state like this, that’s given their state over to illegals, 287G doesn’t apply, but everywhere else across the country, it does.

We’ve got to empower our sheriffs. You see what’s happening in some of the states; Mississippi and Louisiana are talking about doing some bounty hunter operations. You’ve got to come from all directions on this. But first things first, we got to go after these governors, mayors, everyone who’s running these sanctuary cities, and hold them accountable.

Dumb Reporter Interrupts Touching Laken Riley Act Signing With Stupid Question | Drew Hernandez

During President Trump’s press conference for signing the Laken Riley Act, President Trump emphasized the importance of the legislation, which mandates a much needed crackdown on violent illegal aliens. He described the signing as a significant step towards enhancing public safety and honoring the memory of Laken Riley, a nursing student whose tragic death at the hand of an illegal alien inspired the act. Laken Riley’s mother also shared her heart to the nation, expressing the good that could come out of such an evil situation and gave glory to Jesus Christ.

Trump also touched upon broader themes of law enforcement, border security, and the need to protect American citizens from crime committed by illegal aliens. Towards the end of the conference, a moronic reporter from ABC News asked Trump about government funding, to which he responded by saying it was not the appropriate time, signaling his intent to keep the focus on the Laken Riley Act.

As always, the mainstream media shows just how stupid they really are.

Here’s Why The Gateway Pundit is Proudly Endorsing Meshawn Maddock For MI GOP Chair [VIDEO]

For several election cycles, the Michigan Republican Party has been broken.

Issues like backroom deals, dishonest leadership, zero concern for election integrity, lack of transparency, inability to win key elections, decisions made on behalf of the party directed by special interests and large donors, an unwillingness to listen to grassroots members (many of whom do the lion’s share of work behind the scenes to support events and candidates), are all issues that most delegates agree need to be fixed.

As an MI GOP delegate and long-time activist in the party, I tend to agree with all, or at least most, of these frequently voiced concerns.

In 2023, The Michigan Republican Party had a huge financial setback after what many believe was an honest but failed attempt by the newly elected GOP chair, election integrity activist Kristina Karamo, to burn down the party and start from scratch.

Karamo failed when she attempted to hand the MI GOP over exclusively to the grassroots faction of the party while publicly chastising top donors and ignoring everyone in between.

Karamo’s take-no-prisoners style was like a breath of fresh air for the under-appreciated, hardworking grassroots activists. Still, her one-sided approach angered moderates and RINOs alike.

Her frequent criticisms of the people writing the checks for over a decade to keep the party solvent caused them to withdraw their financial support, leaving the party essentially broke and unable to operate effectively.

In less than one year after Karamo was elected, leaders in the MI Republican Party were asked to cast their vote to remove Karamo over their lack of confidence in her ability to effectively lead the party and replace her with former Trump Ambassador and US House Intelligence Chair Pete Hoekstra. In a close vote, Karamo was removed by party leaders.

Shortly afterward, Trump-endorsed opponent, Ambassador Hoekstra, was chosen to lead the party.

After a lengthy court battle and the RNC’s official decision to recognize Hoekstra as chair of the party, Pete Hoekstra got to work, using his contacts to fundraise for the upcoming November 2024 election.

Former Ambassador and current MI GOP Chair Pete Hoekstra and Former MI GOP Chair Kristina Karamo

While many criticized the current MI GOP Chair, Pete Hoekstra, for his lack of interest in election integrity, their criticisms are unfounded.

MI GOP lawyer Mike Bishop did something no lawyer working for the state party had done before: He took the issue of voter fraud seriously.

He was instrumental in working with the RNC to bring attention to the dangerous UOCAVA scheme through litigation against MI SOS Benson in the final weeks before the election and also supported their decision to sue Jocelyn Benson for having more voters on Michigan’s voter rolls than number of eligible voters in the state.

In November, after multiple rallies and events in the state, Donald J. Trump won Michigan under the leadership of Michigan GOP Chair Pete Hoekstra.

On February 20, MI GOP delegates will be asked to, once again, choose their next chairperson by voting at their state convention. In full disclosure, I am an MI GOP delegate, but I will not be casting a vote for chair this year.

Four candidates will be running for the MI GOP Chair position. The Gateway Pundit has looked at all four candidates, and after carefully vetting each of them, we have chosen to endorse the former MI GOP Co-Chair Meshawn Maddock.

We believe she has the best chance of rebuilding the party, raising essential funds, helping strong Republican candidates win key races, skillfully handling the hostile media, and building bridges between a variety of factions within the Republican Party to create a more unified and strong party as we look forward to the 2026 mid-term elections.

Watch this video to see why we’ve chosen to endorse Meshawn Maddock:

MASTERCLASS:

— PattyMI (@PattyLovesTruth) January 30, 2025

Meshawn Maddock is a well-known Republican Party activist who’s been in the fight for conservative principles and values for well over a decade. She has also been one of President Trump’s most important supporters and organizers in the state.

Despite heavy criticism by some, Meshawn has always remained loyal to  President Trump and supported his endorsements of candidates.

The outspoken wife of MI State Rep. Matt Maddock, named Michigan’s most conservative lawmaker in 2024 by MIRS,  is known for being strong-willed and has a mind of her own, yet she has always been willing to listen and engage in civil discourse with people who hold different viewpoints within the party.

Meshawn Maddock

Billionaire Republican Ron Weiser asked Maddock to run as his MI GOP co-chair in 2021.

Together, the unusual pairing of a billionaire businessman and a stay-at-home mom and conservative activist earned 66% of the vote at the MI GOP State Convention. Maddock’s work as Weiser’s co-chair gave her unique insight into how the party works.

On day one, Meshawn will be able to get to work with a firsthand understanding of how the party works. Maddock knows what is expected of a party chair and understands what needs to be improved upon.

In the area of communications, we believe Maddock will excel, as she has already proven she knows how to work with party members, party leadership, and state lawmakers, and, most importantly, she knows how to deal with an increasingly hostile media.

Meshawn has been instrumental in helping her husband campaign and win his elections.

She understands how to navigate the complexities of campaigns in toss-up districts and the critical importance of fundraising.

Her inside knowledge of how elections are won is invaluable and should benefit her greatly as the next MI GOP chair and will be especially important in the upcoming mid-term election.

Maddock’s support for President Trump has been battle-tested. As one of the 16 Trump electors who signed an alternate slate of electoral votes for President Trump in 2020, Meshawn has bravely fought back against Michigan’s lawless Attorney General Dana Nessel, who falsely charged each of the electors with eight felonies.

Instead of shrinking in fear over the lawfare used to silence her and keep her from making waves in the Republican Party, Meshawn fought back and doubled down, as she became an elector again in 2024. She and MI GOP Grassroots Vice Chair Marian Sheridan have become examples of courage under fire as they both proudly cast their electoral votes for President Trump’s second term.

We believe Meshawn’s personal friendship with President Trump over the years, including regular phone conversations with the President, would give the Michigan Republican Party a unique advantage by having a chair with a direct line to the White House.

Senator Jim Runestad – From 2014 – 2018, Jim Runestad served as a MI State Representative. In 2018, he was elected as a state senator.

Senator Runestad won his bid for re-election in 2022 and has two more years remaining in his term as a full-time MI State Senator.

Senator Runestad has been a reliable conservative vote for the citizens of Michigan.

He is approachable and puts the needs of his constituents over a desire to be liked in Lansing. Unlike most senators in Lansing, he is passionate about election integrity and fixing Michigan’s broken elections.

MI Senator Jim Runestad

We at The Gateway Pundit appreciate Jim Runestad’s commitment to election integrity, and it is our sincere hope that Senator Runestad will consider running for Michigan Secretary of State when his term is completed as Michigan Senator in 2026.

Senator Runestad would be a formidable opponent and a stalwart, reliable advocate for cleaning Michigan’s dirty voter rolls and making elections trustworthy and transparent.

At this time, we cannot endorse Senator Runestad, as we feel it is in the best interest of his constituents to have a full-time Senator working on their behalf.

We also believe the MI Republican Party deserves a full-time chair solely focused on rebuilding the party. A full-time chair will be especially important as we enter the 2026 mid-term election cycle.

Scott Greenlee – Scott Greenlee owns Greenlee Consulting,  a political consulting firm. He has been involved in the Republican Party for several decades.

While he has attended several events and is well-liked by those who know him, he has been absent when it comes to the fight for election integrity, an issue most party members agree is a top priority.

Greenlee also understands how to help candidates win races, which could be a huge advantage. Greenlee appears to be lacking in his commitment to addressing the serious issue of election integrity in Michigan.

On the surface, it may appear that Greenlee’s co-chair Jessica Barefield, whose profile on Facebook says she is the Regional Election Integrity Director at the MI Republican Party, could fill that void.

The problem is the Gateway Pundit, who frequently works with Michigan’s top election integrity experts and has been at the forefront of the state’s most crucial election fraud investigations, has never heard of her.

While his fundraising and campaign experience make him a strong choice for chair, Greenlee falls short in his relationships with grassroots activists and his record of defending election integrity in a state where the Republican Party cannot survive without free and fair elections.

Joe Cella –  Joe Cella is the founder and co-founder of the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast and Catholic Vote.

Up until three months ago, most Republicans in the state of Michigan had never heard of him and wondered why he was running to become the next chair of the party.

To his credit, Cella was reportedly involved in helping to stop the Chinese battery plant, Gotion, from being built in rural Mecosta County, but to date, outside of working for the former Republican Senator Spencer Abraham and a staff member for former US Rep Thaddeus McCotter, Mr. Cella has never been a MI GOP delegate or involved in state party politics. We also couldn’t find any evidence of Joe Cella’s involvement in election integrity efforts in Michigan.

And what about Mr. Cella’s anti-Trump background? He claims to have had a change of heart about President Trump, but should his efforts to destroy President Trump while he ran in 2016 disqualify him?

In March 2016, Mr. Cella was one of several Catholic leaders to sign onto an open letter that claimed President Trump was “manifestly unfit to be president of the United States.

From the National Review article:

Donald Trump is manifestly unfit to be president of the United States. His campaign has already driven our politics down to new levels of vulgarity. His appeals to racial and ethnic fears and prejudice are offensive to any genuinely Catholic sensibility.

He promised to order U.S. military personnel to torture terrorist suspects and to kill terrorists’ families — actions condemned by the Church and policies that would bring shame upon our country.

And nothing in his campaign or his previous record gives us grounds for confidence that he genuinely shares our commitments to the right to life, to religious freedom and the rights of conscience, to rebuilding the marriage culture, or to subsidiarity and the principle of limited constitutional government.

We understand that many good people, including Catholics, have been attracted to the Trump campaign because the candidate speaks to issues of legitimate and genuine concern: wage stagnation, grossly incompetent governance, profligate governmental spending, the breakdown of immigration law, inept foreign policy, stifling “political correctness” — for starters.

There are many reasons to be concerned about the future of our country and to be angry at political leaders and other elites.

We urge our fellow Catholics and all our fellow citizens to consider, however, that there are candidates for the Republican nomination who are far more likely than Mr. Trump to address these concerns and who do not exhibit his vulgarity, oafishness, shocking ignorance, and — we do not hesitate to use the word — demagoguery.

Somehow, even after doing everything he could to prevent President Trump from becoming our 45th President, Mr. Cella became an ambassador to Fiji and surrounding islands in 2019 but resigned in January 2021.

Insiders say Mike Pence was instrumental in helping him receive the 13-month position during Trump’s first term. We cannot support Mr. Cella’s bid for MI GOP chair based on his anti-Trump history and lack of track record working with the state party.
