A federal judge on Tuesday granted the Associated Press a preliminary injunction against the Trump White House’s ban on their access to the Oval Office and East Room.

In February Trump blocked the far-left AP from the Oval Office from defying his executive order renaming the Gulf as “Gulf of America.”

While traveling to the Super Bowl aboard Air Force One, President Trump not only changed the name of this vast body of water but also declared February 9, 2025, as the inaugural “Gulf of America Day.”

However, the far-left AP has resisted Trump’s executive order.

“Today our AP White House reporter was denied access to the Oval Office because the Associated Press recognizes the international body of water on our southern coastline as the Gulf of Mexico, while acknowledging President Donald Trump’s order to rename it the Gulf of America,” said AP Pentagon Correspondent Tara Copp.

The Associated Press filed a lawsuit against the Trump White House and on Tuesday a federal judge sided with the AP.

On Tuesday US District Judge Trevor McFadden, a Trump appointee, granted the AP’s injunction against the White House and lifted the block as the lawsuit makes its way through the courts.

“The court simply holds that under the First Amendment, if the government opens its doors to some journalists — be it to the Oval Office, the East Room, or elsewhere — it cannot then shut those doors to other journalists because of their viewpoints. The Constitution requires no less,” Judge McFadden wrote in a 41-page opinion.

Judge McFadden clarified that the government can choose which journalists to participate in specific interview.

“Today, the Court grants that relief. But this injunction does not limit the various permissible reasons the Government may have for excluding journalists from limited-access events. It does not mandate that all eligible journalists, or indeed any journalists at all, be given access to the President or nonpublic government spaces. It does not prohibit government officials from freely choosing which journalists to sit down with for interviews or which ones’ questions they answer. And it certainly does not prevent senior officials from publicly expressing their own views,” the judge wrote.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt delivers press briefing on April 8, 2025

Karoline Leavitt went off during a press briefing on Tuesday, calling out the hypocrisy in the Democratic Party over President Trump’s tariffs and using their own words against them. 

Tariffs on trade partners, including 104% tariffs against China, will go into effect tonight at midnight after they retaliated against discounted reciprocal tariffs, and President Trump punched back hard.

Trump announced 34% tariffs against China and other “discounted reciprocal” tariffs against dozens of U.S. trading partners during his Make America Wealthy Again Event last Wednesday, April 2. The White House has long referred to this date as “Liberation Day.” Because of this, the Democrats are losing it, calling the move “reckless” and saying it will hurt Americans.

However, as The Gateway Pundit reported, Nancy Pelosi gave a 1996 speech in the House of Representatives, where she called out the unfair trade practices with China and demanded reciprocal tariffs.

Now, she claims that “Donald Trump’s reckless tariffs will cause chaos in our economy, raise prices for consumers and hurt hardworking American families.”

“This is not a strategy — it’s the largest tax hike on the American people in history,” she said in an X post.

Democrat Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer also previously reacted to the country’s record trade deficit in a 2007 statement, calling on the Bush Administration to take action “to reverse a trend that threatens our prospects for future economic growth,” specifically citing the massive deficit with China.

Additionally, former Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown criticized the trade deficit with China in 2012, saying it had “cost American workers millions of jobs.”

But now that President Trump is taking on China and looking to balance trade deficits, standing up to China is the worst idea known to Democrats. They can no longer campaign and engage in political theater on the issue of unfair trade if Trump fixes it.

Leavitt called out the hypocrisy and political theater on Tuesday, noting that “everybody in Washington, whether they want to admit it or not, knows that this President is right when it comes to tariffs and when it comes to trade.”

Well, President Trump is finally answering her call 27 years later. Nancy Pelosi can thank President Trump today for the 104% retaliatory tariff that will be going into effect on China.

In 2007, Chuck Schumer spoke of our nation’s crippling trade deficit, saying, ‘These are the kinds of records the American people don’t want us to be breaking. The administration needs to move beyond words, take action now to reverse a trend that threatens our prospects for future economic growth.’ And Chuck Schumer said that in 2007. Finally, in 2025 President Trump is taking action.

Recently defeated Democrat Sherrod Brown said on deficits in 2012 that our deficit then with China, had ‘reached an all time high, and it was ‘on pace to exceed last year’s record.’ The trade deficit had ‘cost American workers, millions of jobs’ at the time. These are the words of Democrats years ago. It is about time America finally has a president who is taking action to restore those millions of jobs back to the United States of America, to boost our manufacturing industry. He’s doing what’s right for the American people. It will take a lot of labor, it will take a lot of effort. That’s exactly what the American people elected this President to do.

The Senate has confirmed Elbridge Colby as the undersecretary of defense for policy, the third highest role at the Pentagon. Colby’s nomination for the role has been seen as a major opportunity for foreign policy realists in the second Trump administration.

Colby was confirmed by a vote of 54–45. Three Democrats, Senators Jack Reed (D-RI), Mark Kelly (D-AZ), and Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), voted in favor of Colby’s nomination.

Colby’s nomination had faced some resistance from Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR), who had questioned Colby’s views on Iran, in particular Colby’s past articulation of the view that a nuclear-armed Iran could be contained. 

Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY), a neocon grandee and former senate majority leader, was the sole Republican to vote against Colby’s nomination. McConnell criticized Colby’s desire to pivot U.S. grand strategy towards the Indo-Pacific in a statement.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Tuesday revealed Elon Musk’s DOGE team made a huge discovery.

Last week President Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that DOGE found something “horrible” – but he did not elaborate.

“We have found hundreds – think of it – just hundreds of millions of dollars of fraud and abuse and waste. They’re still going strong. They found something today that is horrible, it’s horrible,” Trump said.

“What was it?” a reporter asked.

“So what we found – so you’ll find out very soon. What they found is incredible and I give [Elon] a lot of credit. He has some very smart people with him,” Trump said.

Trump emphasized, “I want Elon to stay as long as possible.”

Last month Elon Musk revealed a couple of the biggest scams uncovered by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) during an interview with Senator Ted Cruz.

Musk appeared on Ted Cruz’s podcast, “Verdict with Ted Cruz” with co-host Ben Ferguson to discuss DOGE and the first 50 days of the Trump Administration.

Elon Musk said DOGE has found MILLIONS of government credit cards with a $10,000 limit.

DOGE says it has saved approximately $105 billion in a “combination of asset sales, contract/lease cancellations and renegotiations, fraud and improper payment deletion, grant cancellations, interest savings,” and other workforce reductions.

The Democrats are angry that DOGE is saving American taxpayers money, so they devised a scheme to stop Elon Musk and his team.

There are currently nearly a dozen lawsuits challenging DOGE over its authority, data access, and privacy laws.

There is also a secret resistance agreement between 14 states to conduct coordinated lawfare against DOGE and Elon Musk.

Last week, DOGE announced that it had already deactivated 200,000 government credit cards in 16 agencies.

However, there are a total of 4.6 million active credit cards/accounts!

Elon Musk said DOGE “found twice as many credit cards as there are humans. And these are cards with $10,000 per month limits! That’s a lot of money!”

“What’s the waste-to-fraud ratio? In my opinion, it’s 80% waste, 20% fraud,” Elon Musk said.

Elon Musk also said that one of the biggest scams uncovered is the money laundering operation involving so-called ‘nonprofits.’

“One of the biggest scams we’ve uncovered is that the government can give money to so-called nonprofits with very few controls and there’s no auditing of that nonprofit,” Elon Musk said.

Nonprofits take billions of dollars from the US government, and there is no oversight or auditing of the firm.

Democrat grifters like Stacey Abrams are getting exposed for creating nonprofits and taking billions of dollars from taxpayers.

“They then give themselves extremely lavish, like insane salaries, expense everything to the nonprofit – you know, buy jets and homes all sorts of things,” Elon Musk said.

Apple has reportedly orchestrated the rapid shipment of five plane-loads of iPhones and other products from its manufacturing hubs in India and China to the United States within a mere three days.

This maneuver aimed to circumvent the newly imposed 10% reciprocal tariff, effective April 5, 2025, allowing Apple to temporarily maintain its current pricing structure, The Times of India reported.

According to reports, Apple orchestrated a last-minute airlift of iPhones ahead of looming tariffs, ensuring they reached U.S. soil before the deadline.

Instead of supporting American manufacturing, Apple chose to exploit global labor markets — particularly in China, a known adversary that benefits from cheap labor and lax regulations.

President Trump’s tariffs were designed to bring jobs back to the U.S. and reduce dependence on foreign supply chains, especially from Communist China.

Yet Apple, a company that enjoys massive profits from American consumers, went out of its way to undermine these efforts.

The Times of India reported:

Apple transported five planes full of iPhones and other products from India to the US in just three days during the final week of March, a senior Indian officials confirmed to The Times of India.

The urgent shipments were made to avoid a new 10% reciprocal tariff imposed by US President Donald Trump’s administration that took effect on April 5. Sources said that Apple currently has no plans to increase retail prices in India or other markets despite the tariffs.

To mitigate the impact, the company rapidly moved inventory from manufacturing centres in India and China to the US, even though this period is typically a slow shipping season.

“Factories in India and China and other key locations had been shipping products to the US in anticipation of the higher tariffs according to one source.

“The reserves that arrived at lower duty will temporarily insulate the company from the higher prices that it will need to pay for new shipments under the revised tax rates,” the source explained. Apple’s US warehouses are reportedly stocked for several months ahead.

At Tuesday’s press briefing, when pressed on whether iPhone manufacturing could relocate to the U.S., Karoline Leavitt responded:

Leavitt:
“Absolutely. He believes we have the labor, we have the workforce, we have the resources to do it. As you know, Apple has invested $500 billion here in the United States. If Apple didn’t think the United States could do it, they probably wouldn’t have put up that big chunk of change.”

President Trump is set to sign an executive order this afternoon to “unleash American energy” and revitalize the coal industry in America, a promise he made on the campaign trail. 

The President is hosting mining company executives in the East Room of the White House as he signs the order.

Executives from Peabody Energy Corp., Core Natural Resources Inc., and Ramaco Resources are reportedly in attendance.

The executive order will “unleash the might of our beautiful clean coal industry in this country, which is a reliable energy source also for AI,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said during a press briefing earlier.

Per Bloomberg:

In an executive order Trump is set to sign Tuesday afternoon, the president will direct a number of steps by the federal government meant to reinvigorate coal said a senior White House official. The actions including emphasizing the US is back in the business of selling coal mining rights on federal land and ordering the rock be designated as a critical mineral. Other steps include accelerating the export of US coal and related technologies.

CNN’s Senior Data Reporter, Harry Enten, delivered unwelcome news to Democrats who rage against President Trump and call him a “king.” According to a recent poll, a majority of Americans disagree.

Further, for those worried Trump’s second term would be as a “lame duck” Enten said far from that, Trump is “a soaring eagle.”

Harry Enten: I think there was this concern among some folks that Donald Trump would come in for a second term and be a lame duck. He ain’t no lame duck. If anything, he’s a soaring eagle.

What am I talking about here? Let’s talk about Trump executive orders in 2025. He’s already signed 111 so far. That is the most at this point in a presidency in at least 100 years. In fact, it’s the most in any single year. We’re only in April since Harry S. Truman in the early 1950s.

The bottom line is whether you like Trump or you don’t like him, you can’t say that he’s coming and not try to deliver on what he at least believes was his promises on the campaign trail, and he’s doing so in historic fashion.

Kate Bolduan: How are people reacting to and feel about Trump’s approach?

Harry Enten: Yeah, okay. So Trump’s approach here, what are we talking about? Trump’s approach to presidential power. I think the American people recognize what he’s doing here is completely different. We’re talking, get this, 86% of the American public believes that Trump’s approach to presidential power is completely different from past presidents, compared to only 14% who believe it is in line with precedent. We’re talking about at least 79% of Democrats, Independents, and Republicans.

So again, you can agree or you can disagree with Donald Trump, but what you can’t disagree with is that he’s doing things very differently. I have used the Frank Sinatra quote before. He is doing it “my way,” and that is what Donald Trump has done throughout both of his presidential terms, and he’s certainly doing that, Kate Baldwin, in term number two.

Kate Bolduan: Completely differently, clearly they agree, but take it a step further. Do people think he has too much? He’s taken too much power.

Harry Enten: Yeah, this, I think, is the real question. You can believe that he’s doing stuff completely differently, but do you think that he has a little too much power or not? This is interesting. Trump’s presidential power is too much, the right amount, too little.

Well, 47% say too much, but then you get 36% who say the right amount, then you get 17% who say too little.

You’re essentially dealing with a majority of the American public, 53%, who do not say that Trump has too much power.

They either say he has too little power or the right amount of power. The idea that argument that Donald Trump is a king, that I don’t think holds with the American people.

It does hold maybe with 47%, but with the majority of folks, they believe Donald Trump is doing something completely differently, and they don’t believe he has too much power.

The executive orders he signed certainly suggests he’s no lame duck. He is, as I said at the beginning a soaring eagle.

Suchir Balaji, the OpenAi whistleblower who allegedly committed suicide was shot twice in the head, according to his parents.

Balaji, 26, was found dead in his San Francisco apartment with a gunshot wound to the head in November shortly after he told the New York Times that OpenAi was violating copyright laws.

His death was initially ruled a suicide by a medical examiner, however his parents immediately hired a private investigator and did a second autopsy.

Balaji’s father insisted his son was happy and not suicidal.

“He was happy, not depressed or anything. It was his birthday week. He made plans to see us in January.”

“How can anyone believe that there was no suicide note left?” he continued. “We have seen the blood shots in the bathroom, signs of fight,” Balaji’s father said at a presser in December.

Balaji’s parents are now claiming their son ‘was shot twice’ in the head.

The Daily Mail reported:

OpenAI whistleblower Suchir Balaji was shot a second time by a bullet that was missed by the autopsy that ruled his death a suicide, his parents claim.

The tech prodigy, 26, was found dead on November 26 only a month after revealing the company’s dubious methods of training ChatGPT.

Balaji was found next to his bathroom door with a gunshot wound to the head and blood all over part of his apartment in San Francisco’s Mint Hill neighborhood.

His parents, Poornima Ramarao and Balaji Ramamurthy, insist he couldn’t have killed himself, and paid for their own autopsy, toxicology, and other tests.

They are yet to release the entire reports, but revealed bombshell new evidence they claimed would help prove he was murdered to keep him quiet.

CT scans of his head were sent for analysis to two radiologists who knew little of the case and hadn’t seen any of the other evidence.

Balaji’s parents claimed both saw evidence of two gunshots to the young man’s head, neither of them immediately fatal.
